| Sabbiĥi Asma Rabbika Al-'A`lá | 087-001. Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, | سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى |
| Al-Ladhī Khalaqa Fasawwá | 087-002. Who creates, then makes complete, | الَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّى |
| Wa Al-Ladhī Qaddara Fahadá | 087-003. And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), | وَالَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَى |
| Wa Al-Ladhī 'Akhraja Al-Mar`á | 087-004. And Who brings forth herbage, | وَالَّذِي أَخْرَجَ الْمَرْعَى |
| Faja`alahu Ghuthā'an 'Aĥwá | 087-005. Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. | فَجَعَلَه ُُ غُثَاءً أَحْوَى |
| Sanuqri'uka Falā Tansá | 087-006. We will make you recite so you shall not forget, | سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلاَ تَنسَى |
| 'Illā Mā Shā'a Allāhu 'Innahu Ya`lamu Al-Jahra Wa Mā Yakhfá | 087-007. Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. | إِلاَّ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ إِنَّه ُُ يَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَى |
| Wa Nuyassiruka Lilyusrá | 087-008. And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. | وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَى |
| Fadhakkir 'In Nafa`ati Adh-Dhikrá | 087-009. Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. | فَذَكِّرْ إِنْ نَفَعَتِ الذِّكْرَى |
| Sayadhdhakkaru Man Yakhshá | 087-010. He who fears will mind, | سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَنْ يَخْشَى |
| Wa Yatajannabuhā Al-'Ashqá | 087-011. And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, | وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا الأَشْقَى |
| Al-Ladhī Yaşlá An-Nāra Al-Kubrá | 087-012. Who shall enter the great fire; | الَّذِي يَصْلَى النَّارَ الْكُبْرَى |
| Thumma Lā Yamūtu Fīhā Wa Lā Yaĥyā | 087-013. Then therein he shall neither live nor die. | ثُمَّ لاَ يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلاَ يَحْيَا |
| Qad 'Aflaĥa Man Tazakká | 087-014. He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, | قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ تَزَكَّى |
| Wa Dhakara Asma Rabbihi Faşallá | 087-015. And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. | وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّه ِِ فَصَلَّى |
| Bal Tu'uthirūna Al-Ĥayāata Ad-Dunyā | 087-016. Nay! you prefer the life of this world, | بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا |
| Wa Al-'Ākhiratu Khayrun Wa 'Abqá | 087-017. While the hereafter is better and more lasting. | وَالآخِرَةُ خَيْر ٌ وَأَبْقَى |
| 'Inna Hādhā Lafī Aş-Şuĥufi Al-'Ūlá | 087-018. Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, | إِنَّ هَذَا لَفِي الصُّحُفِ الأُولَى |
| Şuĥufi 'Ibrāhīma Wa Mūsá | 087-019. The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. | صُحُفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَى |
