'Idhā Ash-Shamsu Kūwirat 081-001. When the sun is covered,
Wa 'Idhā An-Nujūmu Ankadarat 081-002. And when the stars darken,
Wa 'Idhā Al-Jibālu Suyyirat 081-003. And when the mountains are made to pass away,
Wa 'Idhā Al-`Ishāru `Uţţilat 081-004. And when the camels are left untended,
Wa 'Idhā Al-Wuĥūshu Ĥushirat 081-005. And when the wild animals are made to go forth,
Wa 'Idhā Al-Biĥāru Sujjirat 081-006. And when the seas are set on fire,
Wa 'Idhā An-Nufūsu Zūwijat 081-007. And when souls are united,
Wa 'Idhā Al-Maw'ūdatu Su'ilat 081-008. And when the female infant buried alive is asked
Bi'ayyi Dhanbin Qutilat 081-009. For what sin she was killed,
Wa 'Idhā Aş-Şuĥufu Nushirat 081-010. And when the books are spread,
Wa 'Idhā As-Samā'u Kushiţat 081-011. And when the heaven has its covering removed,
Wa 'Idhā Al-Jaĥīmu Su``irat 081-012. And when the hell is kindled up,
Wa 'Idhā Al-Jannatu 'Uzlifat 081-013. And when the garden is brought nigh,
`Alimat Nafsun Mā 'Aĥđarat 081-014. Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared.
Falā 'Uqsimu Bil-Khunnasi 081-015. But nay! I swear by the stars,
Al-Jawāri Al-Kunnasi 081-016. That run their course (and) hide themselves,
Wa Al-Layli 'Idhā `As`asa 081-017. And the night when it departs,
Wa Aş-Şubĥi 'Idhā Tanaffasa 081-018. And the morning when it brightens,
'Innahu Laqawlu Rasūlin Karīmin 081-019. Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger,
Dhī Qūwatin `Inda Dhī Al-`Arshi Makīnin 081-020. The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion,
Muţā`in Thamma 'Amīnin 081-021. One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust.
Wa Mā Şāĥibukum Bimajnūnin 081-022. And your companion is not gone mad.
Wa Laqad Ra'āhu Bil-'Ufuqi Al-Mubīni 081-023. And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon.
Wa Mā Huwa `Alá Al-Ghaybi Biđanīnin 081-024. Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer.
Wa Mā Huwa Biqawli Shayţānin Rajīmin 081-025. Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan,
Fa'ayna Tadh/habūna 081-026. Whither then will you go?
'In Huwa 'Illā Dhikrun Lil`ālamīna 081-027. It is naught but a reminder for the nations,
Liman Shā'a Minkum 'An Yastaqīma 081-028. For him among you who pleases to go straight.
Wa Mā Tashā'ūna 'Illā 'An Yashā'a Allāhu Rabbu Al-`Ālamīna 081-029. And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds.
