80) سُورَة عَبَسَ

`Abasa Wa Tawallá 080-001. He frowned and turned (his) back, عَبَسَ وَتَوَلَّى
'An Jā'ahu Al-'A`má 080-002. Because there came to him the blind man. أَنْ جَاءَهُ الأَعْمَى
Wa Mā Yudrīka La`allahu Yazzakká 080-003. And what would make you know that he would purify himself, وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّه ُُ يَزَّكَّى
'Aw Yadhdhakkaru Fatanfa`ahu Adh-Dhikrá 080-004. Or become reminded so that the reminder should profit him? أَوْ يَذَّكَّرُ فَتَنْفَعَهُ الذِّكْرَى
'Ammā Mani Astaghná 080-005. As for him who considers himself free from need (of you), أَمَّا مَنِ اسْتَغْنَى
Fa'anta Lahu Taşaddá 080-006. To him do you address yourself. فَأَنْتَ لَه ُُ تَصَدَّى
Wa Mā `Alayka 'Allā Yazzakká 080-007. And no blame is on you if he would not purify himself وَمَا عَلَيْكَ أَلاَّ يَزَّكَّى
Wa 'Ammā Man Jā'aka Yas`á 080-008. And as to him who comes to you striving hard, وَأَمَّا مَنْ جَاءَكَ يَسْعَى
Wa Huwa Yakhshá 080-009. And he fears, وَهُوَ يَخْشَى
Fa'anta `Anhu Talahhá 080-010. From him will you divert yourself. فَأَنْتَ عَنْهُ تَلَهَّى
Kallā 'Innahā Tadhkirahun 080-011. Nay! surely it is an admonishment. كَلاَّ إِنَّهَا تَذْكِرَة ٌ
Faman Shā'a Dhakarahu 080-012. So let him who pleases mind it. فَمَنْ شَاءَ ذَكَرَهُ
Fī Şuĥufin Mukarramahin 080-013. In honored books, فِي صُحُف ٍ مُكَرَّمَة ٍ
Marfū`atin Muţahharahin 080-014. Exalted, purified, مَرْفُوعَة ٍ مُطَهَّرَة ٍ
Bi'aydī Safarahin 080-015. In the hands of scribes بِأَيْدِي سَفَرَة ٍ
Kirāmin Bararahin 080-016. Noble, virtuous. كِرَام ٍ بَرَرَة ٍ
Qutila Al-'Insānu Mā 'Akfarahu 080-017. Cursed be man! how ungrateful is he! قُتِلَ الإِنْسَانُ مَا أَكْفَرَهُ
Min 'Ayyi Shay'in Khalaqahu 080-018. Of what thing did He create him? مِنْ أَيِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقَهُ
Min Nuţfatin Khalaqahu Faqaddarahu 080-019. Of a small seed; He created him, then He made him according to a measure, مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ خَلَقَه ُُ فَقَدَّرَهُ
Thumma As-Sabīla Yassarahu 080-020. Then (as for) the way-- He has made it easy (for him) ثُمَّ السَّبِيلَ يَسَّرَهُ
Thumma 'Amātahu Fa'aqbarahu 080-021. Then He causes him to die, then assigns to him a grave, ثُمَّ أَمَاتَه ُُ فَأَقْبَرَهُ
Thumma 'Idhā Shā'a 'Ansharahu 080-022. Then when He pleases, He will raise him to life again. ثُمَّ إِذَا شَاءَ أَنْشَرَهُ
Kallā Lammā Yaqđi Mā 'Amarahu 080-023. Nay; but he has not done what He bade him. كَلاَّ لَمَّا يَقْضِ مَا أَمَرَهُ
Falyanžuri Al-'Insānu 'Ilá Ţa`āmihi 080-024. Then let man look to his food, فَلْيَنْظُرِ الإِنسَانُ إِلَى طَعَامِهِ
'Annā Şabab Al-Mā'a Şabbāan 080-025. That We pour down the water, pouring (it) down in abundance, أَنَّا صَبَبْنَا الْمَاءَ صَبّا ً
Thumma Shaqaq Al-'Arđa Shaqqāan 080-026. Then We cleave the earth, cleaving (it) asunder, ثُمَّ شَقَقْنَا الأَرْضَ شَقّا ً
Fa'anbatnā Fīhā Ĥabbāan 080-027. Then We cause to grow therein the grain, فَأَنْبَتْنَا فِيهَا حَبّا ً
Wa `Inabāan Wa Qađbāan 080-028. And grapes and clover, وَعِنَبا ً وَقَضْبا ً
Wa Zaytūnāan Wa Nakhan 080-029. And the olive and the palm, وَزَيْتُونا ً وَنَخْلا ً
Wa Ĥadā'iqa Ghulbāan 080-030. And thick gardens, وَحَدَائِقَ غُلْبا ً
Wa Fākihatan Wa 'Abbāan 080-031. And fruits and herbage وَفَاكِهَة ً وَأَبّا ً
Matā`āan Lakum Wa Li'an`āmikum 080-032. A provision for you and for your cattle. مَتَاعا ً لَكُمْ وَلِأَنْعَامِكُمْ
Fa'idhā Jā'ati Aş-Şākhkhahu 080-033. But when the deafening cry comes, فَإِذَا جَاءَتِ الصَّاخَّةُ
Yawma Yafirru Al-Mar'u Min 'Akhīhi 080-034. The day on which a man shall fly from his brother, يَوْمَ يَفِرُّ الْمَرْءُ مِنْ أَخِيهِ
Wa 'Ummihi Wa 'Abīhi 080-035. And his mother and his father, وَأُمِّه ِِ وَأَبِيهِ
Wa Şāĥibatihi Wa Banīhi 080-036. And his spouse and his son-- وَصَاحِبَتِه ِِ وَبَنِيهِ
Likulli Amri'in Minhum Yawma'idhin Sha'nun Yughnīhi 080-037. Every man of them shall on that day have an affair which will occupy him. لِكُلِّ امْرِئ ٍ مِنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ شَأْن ٌ يُغْنِيهِ
Wujūhun Yawma'idhin Musfirahun 080-038. (Many) faces on that day shall be bright, وُجُوه ٌ ٌ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ مُسْفِرَة ٌ
Đāĥikatun Mustabshirahun 080-039. Laughing, joyous. ضَاحِكَة ٌ مُسْتَبْشِرَة ٌ
Wa Wujūhun Yawma'idhin `Alayhā Ghabarahun 080-040. And (many) faces on that day, on them shall be dust, وَوُجُوه ٌ ٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَيْهَا غَبَرَة ٌ
Tarhaquhā Qatarahun 080-041. Darkness shall cover them. تَرْهَقُهَا قَتَرَة ٌ
'Ūlā'ika Humu Al-Kafaratu Al-Fajarahu 080-042. These are they who are unbelievers, the wicked. أُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الْكَفَرَةُ الْفَجَرَةُ
