| Ĥā-Mīm | 044-001. Ha Mim! | حَا-مِيم |
| Wa Al-Kitābi Al-Mubīni | 044-002. I swear by the Book that makes manifest (the truth). | وَالْكِتَابِ الْمُبِينِ |
| 'Innā 'Anzalnāhu Fī Laylatin Mubārakatin 'Innā Kunnā Mundhirīna | 044-003. Surely We revealed it on a blessed night surely We are ever warning-- | إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاه ُُ فِي لَيْلَة ٍ مُبَارَكَة ٍ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُنذِرِينَ |
| Fīhā Yufraqu Kullu 'Amrin Ĥakīmin | 044-004. Therein every wise affair is made distinct, | فِيهَا يُفْرَقُ كُلُّ أَمْرٍ حَكِيم ٍ |
| 'Amrāan Min `Indinā 'Innā Kunnā Mursilīna | 044-005. A command from Us; surely We are the senders (of apostles), | أَمْرا ً مِنْ عِنْدِنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا مُرْسِلِينَ |
| Raĥmatan Min Rabbika 'Innahu Huwa As-Samī`u Al-`Alīmu | 044-006. A mercy from your Lord, surely He is the Hearing, the Knowing, | رَحْمَة ً مِنْ رَبِّكَ إِنَّه ُُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ |
| Rabbi As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Mā Baynahumā 'In Kuntum Mūqinīna | 044-007. The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, if you would be sure. | رَبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُوقِنِينَ |
| Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa Yuĥyī Wa Yumītu Rabbukum Wa Rabbu 'Ābā'ikumu Al-'Awwalīna | 044-008. There is no god but He; He gives life and causes death, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore. | لاَ إِلَهَ~َ إِلاَّ هُوَ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ آبَائِكُمُ الأَوَّلِينَ |
| Bal Hum Fī Shakkin Yal`abūna | 044-009. Nay, they are in doubt, they sport. | بَلْ هُمْ فِي شَكّ ٍ يَلْعَبُونَ |
| Fārtaqib Yawma Ta'tī As-Samā'u Bidukhānin Mubīnin | 044-010. Therefore keep waiting for the day when the heaven shall bring an evident smoke, | فَارْتَقِبْ يَوْمَ تَأْتِي السَّمَاءُ بِدُخَان ٍ مُبِين ٍ |
| Yaghshá An-Nāsa Hādhā `Adhābun 'Alīmun | 044-011. That shall overtake men; this is a painful punishment. | يَغْشَى النَّاسَ هَذَا عَذَابٌ أَلِيم ٌ |
| Rabbanā Akshif `Annā Al-`Adhāba 'Innā Mu'uminūna | 044-012. Our Lord! remove from us the punishment; surely we are believers. | رَبَّنَا اكْشِفْ عَنَّا الْعَذَابَ إِنَّا مُؤْمِنُونَ |
| 'Anná Lahumu Adh-Dhikrá Wa Qad Jā'ahum Rasūlun Mubīnun | 044-013. How shall they be reminded, and there came to them an Apostle making clear (the truth), | أَنَّى لَهُمُ الذِّكْرَى وَقَدْ جَاءَهُمْ رَسُول ٌ مُبِين ٌ |
| Thumma Tawallaw `Anhu Wa Qālū Mu`allamun Majnūnun | 044-014. Yet they turned their backs on him and said: One taught (by others), a madman. | ثُمَّ تَوَلَّوْا عَنْهُ وَقَالُوا مُعَلَّم ٌ مَجْنُون ٌ |
| 'Innā Kāshifū Al-`Adhābi Qalīlāan 'Innakum `Ā'idūna | 044-015. Surely We will remove the punishment a little, (but) you will surely return (to evil). | إِنَّا كَاشِفُوا الْعَذَابِ قَلِيلا ً إِنَّكُمْ عَائِدُونَ |
| Yawma Nabţishu Al-Baţshata Al-Kubrá 'Innā Muntaqimūna | 044-016. On the day when We will seize (them) with the most violent seizing; surely We will inflict retribution. | يَوْمَ نَبْطِشُ الْبَطْشَةَ الْكُبْرَى إِنَّا مُنتَقِمُونَ |
| Wa Laqad Fatannā Qablahum Qawma Fir`awna Wa Jā'ahum Rasūlun Karīmun | 044-017. And certainly We tried before them the people of Firon, and there came to them a noble apostle, | وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَجَاءَهُمْ رَسُول ٌ كَرِيم ٌ |
| 'An 'Addū 'Ilayya `Ibāda Allāhi 'Innī Lakum Rasūlun 'Amīnun | 044-018. Saying: Deliver to me the servants of Allah, surely I am a faithful apostle to you, | أَنْ أَدُّوا إِلَيَّ عِبَادَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِين ٌ |
| Wa 'An Lā Ta`lū `Alá Allāhi 'Innī 'Ātīkum Bisulţānin Mubīnin | 044-019. And that do not exalt yourselves against Allah, surely I will bring to you a clear authority: | وَأَنْ لاَ تَعْلُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ إِنِّي آتِيكُمْ بِسُلْطَان ٍ مُبِين ٍ |
| Wa 'Innī `Udhtu Birabbī Wa Rabbikum 'An Tarjumūni | 044-020. And surely I take refuge with my Lord and your Lord that you should stone me to death: | وَإِنِّي عُذْتُ بِرَبِّي وَرَبِّكُمْ أَنْ تَرْجُمُونِ |
| Wa 'In Lam Tu'uminū Lī Fā`tazilūni | 044-021. And if you do not believe in me, then leave me alone. | وَإِنْ لَمْ تُؤْمِنُوا لِي فَاعْتَزِلُونِ |
| Fada`ā Rabbahu 'Anna Hā'uulā' Qawmun Mujrimūna | 044-022. Then he called upon his Lord: These are a guilty people. | فَدَعَا رَبَّهُ~ُ أَنَّ هَاؤُلاَء قَوْم ٌ مُجْرِمُونَ |
| Fa'asri Bi`ibādī Laylāan 'Innakum Muttaba`ūna | 044-023. So go forth with My servants by night; surely you will be pursued: | فَأَسْرِ بِعِبَادِي لَيْلا ً إِنَّكُمْ مُتَّبَعُونَ |
| Wa Atruki Al-Baĥra Rahwan 'Innahum Jundun Mughraqūna | 044-024. And leave the sea intervening; surely they are a host that shall be drowned. | وَاتْرُكِ الْبَحْرَ رَهْوا ً إِنَّهُمْ جُند ٌ مُغْرَقُونَ |
| Kam Tarakū Min Jannātin Wa `Uyūnin | 044-025. How many of the gardens and fountains have they left! | كَمْ تَرَكُوا مِنْ جَنَّات ٍ وَعُيُون ٍ |
| Wa Zurū`in Wa Maqāmin Karīmin | 044-026. And cornfields and noble places! | وَزُرُوع ٍ وَمَقَام ٍ كَرِيم ٍ |
| Wa Na`matin Kānū Fīhā Fākihīna | 044-027. And goodly things wherein they rejoiced; | وَنَعْمَة ٍ كَانُوا فِيهَا فَاكِهِينَ |
| Kadhālika Wa 'Awrathnāhā Qawmāan 'Ākharīna | 044-028. Thus (it was), and We gave them as a heritage to another people. | كَذَلِكَ وَأَوْرَثْنَاهَا قَوْما ً آخَرِينَ |
| Famā Bakat `Alayhimu As-Samā'u Wa Al-'Arđu Wa Mā Kānū Munžarīna | 044-029. So the heaven and the earth did not weep for them, nor were they respited. | فَمَا بَكَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّمَاءُ وَالأَرْضُ وَمَا كَانُوا مُنظَرِينَ |
| Wa Laqad Najjaynā Banī 'Isrā'īla Mina Al-`Adhābi Al-Muhīni | 044-030. And certainly We delivered the children of Israel from the abasing chastisement, | وَلَقَدْ نَجَّيْنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ الْمُهِينِ |
| Min Fir`awna 'Innahu Kāna `Ālīāan Mina Al-Musrifīna | 044-031. From Firon; surely he was haughty, (and) one of the extravagant. | مِنْ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّه ُُ كَانَ عَالِيا ً مِنَ الْمُسْرِفِينَ |
| Wa Laqadi Akhtarnāhum `Alá `Ilmin `Alá Al-`Ālamīna | 044-032. And certainly We chose them, having knowledge, above the nations. | وَلَقَدِ اخْتَرْنَاهُمْ عَلَى عِلْمٍ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ |
| Wa 'Ātaynāhum Mina Al-'Āyāti Mā Fīhi Balā'un Mubīnun | 044-033. And We gave them of the communications wherein was clear blessing. | وَآتَيْنَاهُمْ مِنَ الآيَاتِ مَا فِيه ِِ بَلاَء ٌ مُبِين ٌ |
| 'Inna Hā'uulā' Layaqūlūna | 044-034. Most surely these do say: | إِنَّ هَاؤُلاَء لَيَقُولُونَ |
| 'In Hiya 'Illā Mawtatunā Al-'Ūlá Wa Mā Naĥnu Bimunsharīna | 044-035. There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. | إِنْ هِيَ إِلاَّ مَوْتَتُنَا الأُولَى وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُنشَرِينَ |
| Fa'tū Bi'ābā'inā 'In Kuntum Şādiqīna | 044-036. So bring our fathers (back), if you are truthful. | فَأْتُوا بِآبَائِنَا إِنْ كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ |
| 'Ahum Khayrun 'Am Qawmu Tubba`in Wa Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim 'Ahlaknāhum 'Innahum Kānū Mujrimīna | 044-037. Are they better or the people of Tubba and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. | أَهُمْ خَيْرٌ أَمْ قَوْمُ تُبَّع ٍ وَالَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ أَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مُجْرِمِينَ |
| Wa Mā Khalaqnā As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Wa Mā Baynahumā Lā`ibīna | 044-038. And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in sport. | وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لاَعِبِينَ |
| Mā Khalaqnāhumā 'Illā Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Lakinna 'Aktharahum Lā Ya`lamūna | 044-039. We did not create them both but with the truth, but most of them do not know. | مَا خَلَقْنَاهُمَا إِلاَّ بِالْحَقِّ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ |
| 'Inna Yawma Al-Faşli Mīqātuhum 'Ajma`īna | 044-040. Surely the day of separation is their appointed term, of all of them | إِنَّ يَوْمَ الْفَصْلِ مِيقَاتُهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ |
| Yawma Lā Yughnī Mawláan `An Mawláan Shay'āan Wa Lā Hum Yunşarūna | 044-041. The day on which a friend shall not avail (his) friend aught, nor shall they be helped, | يَوْمَ لاَ يُغْنِي مَوْلىً عَنْ مَوْلى ً شَيْئا ً وَلاَ هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ |
| 'Illā Man Raĥima Allāhu 'Innahu Huwa Al-`Azīzu Ar-Raĥīmu | 044-042. Save those on whom Allah shall have mercy; surely He is the Mighty the Merciful. | إِلاَّ مَنْ رَحِمَ اللَّهُ إِنَّه ُُ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ |
| 'Inna Shajarata Az-Zaqqūmi | 044-043. Surely the tree of the Zaqqum, | إِنَّ شَجَرَةَ الزَّقُّومِ |
| Ţa`āmu Al-'Athīmi | 044-044. Is the food of the sinful | طَعَامُ الأَثِيمِ |
| Kālmuhli Yaghlī Fī Al-Buţūni | 044-045. Like dregs of oil; it shall boil in (their) bellies, | كَالْمُهْلِ يَغْلِي فِي الْبُطُونِ |
| Kaghalyi Al-Ĥamīmi | 044-046. Like the boiling of hot water. | كَغَلْيِ الْحَمِيمِ |
| Khudhūhu Fā`tilūhu 'Ilá Sawā'i Al-Jaĥīmi | 044-047. Seize him, then drag him down into the middle of the hell; | خُذُوه ُُ فَاعْتِلُوهُ~ُ إِلَى سَوَاءِ الْجَحِيمِ |
| Thumma Şubbū Fawqa Ra'sihi Min `Adhābi Al-Ĥamīmi | 044-048. Then pour above his head of the torment of the boiling water: | ثُمَّ صُبُّوا فَوْقَ رَأْسِه ِِ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْحَمِيمِ |
| Dhuq 'Innaka 'Anta Al-`Azīzu Al-Karīmu | 044-049. Taste; you forsooth are the mighty, the honorable: | ذُقْ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْكَرِيمُ |
| 'Inna Hādhā Mā Kuntum Bihi Tamtarūna | 044-050. Surely this is what you disputed about. | إِنَّ هَذَا مَا كُنتُمْ بِه ِِ تَمْتَرُونَ |
| 'Inna Al-Muttaqīna Fī Maqāmin 'Amīnin | 044-051. Surely those who guard (against evil) are in a secure place, | إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي مَقَامٍ أَمِين ٍ |
| Fī Jannātin Wa `Uyūnin | 044-052. In gardens and springs; | فِي جَنَّات ٍ وَعُيُون ٍ |
| Yalbasūna Min Sundusin Wa 'Istabraqin Mutaqābilīna | 044-053. They shall wear of fine and thick silk, (sitting) face to face; | يَلْبَسُونَ مِنْ سُندُس ٍ وَإِسْتَبْرَق ٍ مُتَقَابِلِينَ |
| Kadhālika Wa Zawwajnāhum Biĥūrin `Īnin | 044-054. Thus (shall it be), and We will wed them with Houris pure, beautiful ones. | كَذَلِكَ وَزَوَّجْنَاهُمْ بِحُورٍ عِين ٍ |
| Yad`ūna Fīhā Bikulli Fākihatin 'Āminīna | 044-055. They shall call therein for every fruit in security; | يَدْعُونَ فِيهَا بِكُلِّ فَاكِهَة ٍ آمِنِينَ |
| Lā Yadhūqūna Fīhā Al-Mawta 'Illā Al-Mawtata Al-'Ūlá Wa Waqāhum `Adhāba Al-Jaĥīmi | 044-056. They shall not taste therein death except the first death, and He will save them from the punishment of the hell, | لاَ يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا الْمَوْتَ إِلاَّ الْمَوْتَةَ الأُولَى وَوَقَاهُمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيمِ |
| Fađlāan Min Rabbika Dhālika Huwa Al-Fawzu Al-`Ažīmu | 044-057. A grace from your Lord; this is the great achievement. | فَضْلا ً مِنْ رَبِّكَ ذَلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ |
| Fa'innamā Yassarnāhu Bilisānika La`allahum Yatadhakkarūna | 044-058. So have We made it easy in your tongue that they may be mindful. | فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرْنَاه ُُ بِلِسَانِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ |
| Fārtaqib 'Innahum Murtaqibūna | 044-059. Therefore wait; surely they are waiting. | فَارْتَقِبْ إِنَّهُمْ مُرْتَقِبُونَ |
