| Waylun Lilmuţaffifīna | 083.001 Woe unto the defrauders: | وَيْل ٌ لِلْمُطَفِّفِينَ |
| Al-Ladhīna 'Idhā Aktālū `Alá An-Nāsi Yastawfūna | 083.002 Those who when they take the measure from mankind demand it full, | الَّذِينَ إِذَا اكْتَالُوا عَلَى النَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ |
| Wa 'Idhā Kālūhum 'Aw Wazanūhum Yukhsirūna | 083.003 But if they measure unto them or weight for them, they cause them loss. | وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَوْ وَزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ |
| 'Alā Yažunnu 'Ūla'ika 'Annahum Mab`ūthūna | 083.004 Do such (men) not consider that they will be raised again | أَلاَ يَظُنُّ أُولَئِكَ أَنَّهُمْ مَبْعُوثُونَ |
| Liyawmin `Ažīmin | 083.005 Unto an Awful Day, | لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيم ٍ |
| Yawma Yaqūmu An-Nāsu Lirabbi Al-`Ālamīna | 083.006 The day when (all) mankind stand before the Lord of the Worlds ? | يَوْمَ يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ |
| Kallā 'Inna Kitāba Al-Fujjāri Lafī Sijjīnin | 083.007 Nay, but the record of the vile is in Sijjin - | كَلاَّ إِنَّ كِتَابَ الفُجَّارِ لَفِي سِجِّين ٍ |
| Wa Mā 'Adrāka Mā Sijjīnun | 083.008 Ah! what will convey unto thee what Sijjin is! - | وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا سِجِّين ٌ |
| Kitābun Marqūmun | 083.009 A written record. | كِتَاب ٌ مَرْقُوم ٌ |
| Waylun Yawma'idhin Lilmukadhdhibīna | 083.010 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! | وَيْل ٌ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
| Al-Ladhīna Yukadhdhibūna Biyawmi Ad-Dīni | 083.011 Those who deny the Day of Judgment | الَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ |
| Wa Mā Yukadhdhibu Bihi 'Illā Kullu Mu`tadin 'Athīmin | 083.012 Which none denieth save each criminal transgressor, | وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِ إلاَّ كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيم ٍ |
| 'Idhā Tutlá `Alayhi 'Āyātunā Qāla 'Asāţīru Al-'Awwalīna | 083.013 Who, when thou readest unto him Our revelations, saith: (Mere) fables of the men of old. | إِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِ آيَاتُنَا قَالَ أَسَاطِيرُ الأَوَّلِينَ |
| Kallā Bal Rāna `Alá Qulūbihim Mā Kānū Yaksibūna | 083.014 Nay, but that which they have earned is rust upon their hearts. | كَلاَّ بَلْ رَانَ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ |
| Kallā 'Innahum `An Rabbihim Yawma'idhin Lamaĥjūbūna | 083.015 Nay, but surely on that day they will be covered from (the mercy of) their Lord. | كَلاَّ إِنَّهُمْ عَنْ رَبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ لَمَحْجُوبُونَ |
| Thumma 'Innahum Laşālū Al-Jaĥīmi | 083.016 Then lo! they verily will burn in hell, | ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُوا الْجَحِيمِ |
| Thumma Yuqālu Hādhā Al-Ladhī Kuntum Bihi Tukadhdhibūna | 083.017 And it will be said (unto them): This is that which ye used to deny. | ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَذَا الَّذِي كُنتُمْ بِه ِِ تُكَذِّبُونَ |
| Kallā 'Inna Kitāba Al-'Abrāri Lafī `Illīyīna | 083.018 Nay, but the record of the righteous is in 'Illiyin - | كَلاَّ إِنَّ كِتَابَ الأَبْرَارِ لَفِي عِلِّيِّينَ |
| Wa Mā 'Adrāka Mā `Illīyūna | 083.019 Ah, what will convey unto thee what 'Illiyin is! - | وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ |
| Kitābun Marqūmun | 083.020 A written record, | كِتَاب ٌ مَرْقُوم ٌ |
| Yash/haduhu Al-Muqarrabūna | 083.021 Attested by those who are brought near (unto their Lord). | يَشْهَدُهُ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ |
| 'Inna Al-'Abrāra Lafī Na`īmin | 083.022 Lo! the righteous verily are in delight, | إِنَّ الأَبْرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيم ٍ |
| `Alá Al-'Arā'iki Yanžurūna | 083.023 On couches, gazing, | عَلَى الأَرَائِكِ يَنظُرُونَ |
| Ta`rifu Fī Wujūhihim Nađrata An-Na`īmi | 083.024 Thou wilt know in their faces the radiance of delight. | تَعْرِفُ فِي وُجُوهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ النَّعِيمِ |
| Yusqawna Min Raĥīqin Makhtūmin | 083.025 They are given to drink of a pure wine, sealed, | يُسْقَوْنَ مِنْ رَحِيق ٍ مَخْتُوم ٍ |
| Khitāmuhu Miskun Wa Fī Dhālika Falyatanāfasi Al-Mutanāfisūna | 083.026 Whose seal is musk - for this let (all) those strive who strive for bliss - | خِتَامُه ُُ مِسْك ٌ وَفِي ذَلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ الْمُتَنَافِسُونَ |
| Wa Mizājuhu Min Tasnīmin | 083.027 And mixed with water of Tasnim, | وَمِزَاجُه ُُ مِنْ تَسْنِيم ٍ |
| `Aynāan Yashrabu Bihā Al-Muqarrabūna | 083.028 A spring whence those brought near (to Allah) drink. | عَيْنا ً يَشْرَبُ بِهَا الْمُقَرَّبُونَ |
| 'Inna Al-Ladhīna 'Ajramū Kānū Mina Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Yađĥakūna | 083.029 Lo! the guilty used to laugh at those who believed, | إِنَّ الَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا كَانُوا مِنَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يَضْحَكُونَ |
| Wa 'Idhā Marrū Bihim Yataghāmazūna | 083.030 And wink one to another when they passed them; | وَإِذَا مَرُّوا بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُونَ |
| Wa 'Idhā Anqalabū 'Ilá 'Ahlihimu Anqalabū Fakihīna | 083.031 And when they returned to their own folk, they returned jesting; | وَإِذَا انقَلَبُوا إِلَى أَهْلِهِمُ انقَلَبُوا فَكِهِينَ |
| Wa 'Idhā Ra'awhum Qālū 'Inna Hā'uulā' Lađāllūna | 083.032 And when they saw them they said: Lo! these have gone astray. | وَإِذَا رَأَوْهُمْ قَالُوا إِنَّ هَاؤُلاَء لَضَالُّونَ |
| Wa Mā 'Ursilū `Alayhim Ĥāfižīna | 083.033 Yet they were not sent as guardians over them. | وَمَا أُرْسِلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ حَافِظِينَ |
| Fālyawma Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Mina Al-Kuffāri Yađĥakūna | 083.034 This day it is those who believe who have the laugh of disbelievers, | فَالْيَوْمَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنَ الْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُونَ |
| `Alá Al-'Arā'iki Yanžurūna | 083.035 On high couches, gazing. | عَلَى الأَرَائِكِ يَنظُرُونَ |
| Hal Thūwiba Al-Kuffāru Mā Kānū Yaf`alūna | 083.036 Are not the disbelievers paid for what they used to do ? | هَلْ ثُوِّبَ الْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوا يَفْعَلُونَ |
