032.001 Alif. Lam. Mim
أَلِف-لَام-مِيم
Tan zī lu A l-Kitā bi Lā Ra y ba Fī hi Min Ra bbi A l-`Ālamī na (As-Saj dah: 2).
032.002 The revelation of the Scripture whereof there is no doubt is from the Lord of the Worlds.
تَن زِي لُ ا لْكِتَا بِ لاَ رَ يْ بَ فِي هِ مِن ْ رَ بِّ ا لْعَالَمِينَ
'Am Yaq ūlū na A ftar ā hu ۚ Bal Huwa A l-Ĥaq q u Min Ra bbika Litun dh ir a Q awmāan Mā 'Atāhum Min Nadh ī r in Min Q ab lika La`allahum Yahtadū na (As-Saj dah: 3).
032.003 Or say they: He hath invented it ? Nay, but it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayst warn a folk to whom no warner came before thee, that haply they may walk aright.
أَمْ يَقُ ولُو نَ ا فْتَرَ ا هُ ۚ بَلْ هُوَ ا لْحَقُّ مِن ْ رَ بِّكَ لِتُن ذِرَ قَ وْماً مَا أَتَاهُمْ مِن ْ نَذِي ر ٍ مِن ْ قَ بْ لِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ
Al-Lahu A l-Ladh ī Kh alaq a A s-Samāwā ti Wa A l-'Arđa Wa Mā Baynahumā Fī Sittati 'Ayyā min Th umm a A stawá `Alá A l-`Arsh i ۖ Mā Lakum Min Dūnihi Min Wa Lī yin Wa Lā Sh afī `in ۚ 'Afalā Tatadh akkarū na (As-Saj dah: 4).
032.004 Allah it is Who created the heavens and the earth, and that which is between them, in six Days. Then He mounted the Throne. Ye have not, beside Him, a protecting friend or mediator. Will ye not then remember ?
ا للَّهُ ا لَّذِي خَ لَقَ ا ل سَّمَاوَا تِ وَا لأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّا مٍ ثُمّ َ ا سْتَوَى عَلَى ا لْعَرْشِ ۖ مَا لَكُمْ مِن ْ دُونِهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلاَ شَفِي عٍ ۚ أَفَلاَ تَتَذَكَّرُونَ
Yudabbir u A l-'Am ra Mina A s-Samā 'i 'Ilá A l-'Arđi Th umm a Ya`ru ju 'Ilay hi Fī Yaw min Kā na Miq dāru hu 'Alfa Sanatin Mimm ā Ta`uddū na (As-Saj dah: 5).
032.005 He directeth the ordinance from the heaven unto the earth; then it ascendeth unto Him in a Day, whereof the measure is a thousand years of that ye reckon.
يُدَبِّر ُا لأَمْرَ مِنَ ا ل سَّمَا ءِ إِلَى ا لأَرْضِ ثُمّ َ يَعْرُجُ إِلَيْ هِ فِي يَوْ مٍ كَا نَ مِقْ دَارُهُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ مِمَّ ا تَعُدُّونَ
Dh ālika `Ālimu A l-Gh ay bi Wa A sh -Sh ahādati A l-`Azī zu A r-Ra ĥī mu (As-Saj dah: 6).
032.006 Such is the Knower of the Invisible and the Visible, the Mighty, the Merciful,
ذَلِكَ عَالِمُ ا لْغَ يْ بِ وَا ل شَّهَادَةِ ا لْعَزِي زُ ا ل رَّ حِيمُ
Al-Ladh ī 'Aĥsana Kulla Sh ay 'in Kh alaq ahu ۖ Wa Bada'a Kh alq a A l-'In sā ni Min Ţ ī nin (As-Saj dah: 7).
032.007 Who made all things good which He created, and He began the creation of man from clay;
ا لَّذِي أَحْسَنَ كُلَّ شَيْ ءٍ خَ لَقَ هُ ۖ وَبَدَأَ خَ لْقَ ا لإِن سَا نِ مِن ْ طِ ينٍ
Th umm a Ja`ala Naslahu Min Sulālatin Min Mā 'in Mahī nin (As-Saj dah: 8).
032.008 Then He made his seed from a draught of despised fluid;
ثُمّ َ جَعَلَ نَسْلَهُ مِن ْ سُلاَلَةٍ مِن ْ مَا ءٍ مَهِينٍ
Th umm a Sawwā hu Wa Nafakh a Fī hi Min Rūĥihi ۖ Wa Ja`ala Lakumu A s-Sam `a Wa A l-'Ab ş ā ra Wa A l-'Af'idata ۚ Q alīlāan Mā Tash kurū na (As-Saj dah: 9).
032.009 Then He fashioned him and breathed into him of His Spirit; and appointed for you hearing and sight and hearts. Small thanks give ye!
ثُمّ َ سَوَّا هُ وَنَفَخَ فِي هِ مِن ْ رُوحِهِ ۖ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ ا ل سَّمْعَ وَا لأَبْ صَ ا رَ وَا لأَفْئِدَةَ ۚ قَ لِيلاً مَا تَشْكُرُونَ
Wa Q ālū 'A'idh ā Đ alalnā Fī A l-'Arđi 'A'inn ā Lafī Kh alq in Jadī din ۚ Bal Hum Biliq ā 'i Ra bbihim Kāfirū na (As-Saj dah: 10).
032.010 And they say: When we are lost in the earth, how can we then be re-created ? Nay but they are disbelievers in the meeting with their Lord.
وَقَ الُو ا أَئِذَا ضَ لَلْنَا فِي ا لأَرْضِ أَئِنَّ ا لَفِي خَ لْق ٍ جَدِي دٍ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ بِلِقَ ا ءِ رَ بِّهِمْ كَافِرُونَ
Q ul Yatawaffākum Malaku A l-Maw ti A l-Ladh ī Wukkila Bikum Th umm a 'Ilá Ra bbikum Turja`ū na (As-Saj dah: 11).
032.011 Say: The angel of death, who hath charge concerning you, will gather you, and afterward unto your Lord ye will be returned.
قُ لْ يَتَوَفَّاكُمْ مَلَكُ ا لْمَوْ تِ ا لَّذِي وُكِّلَ بِكُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَى رَ بِّكُمْ تُرْجَعُونَ
Wa Law Tará 'Idh i A l-Muj r imū na Nākisū Ru 'ū sihim `In da Ra bbihim Ra bbanā 'Ab ş arnā Wa Sami`nā Fārji`nā Na`mal Ş āliĥāan 'Inn ā Mūq inū na (As-Saj dah: 12).
032.012 Couldst thou but see when the guilty hang their heads before their Lord, (and say): Our Lord! We have now seen and heard, so send us back; we will do right, now we are sure.
وَلَوْ تَرَ ى إِذِ ا لْمُجْ رِ مُو نَ نَاكِسُوا رُءُ وسِهِمْ عِنْ دَ رَ بِّهِمْ رَ بَّنَا أَبْ صَ رْنَا وَسَمِعْنَا فَارْجِعْنَا نَعْمَلْ صَ الِحاً إِنَّ ا مُوقِ نُونَ
Wa Law Shi 'nā La'ā taynā Kulla Nafsin Hudāhā Wa Lakin Ĥaq q a A l-Q aw lu Minn ī La'am la'ann a Jahann ama Mina A l-Jinn ati Wa A n -Nā si 'Aj ma`ī na (As-Saj dah: 13).
032.013 And if We had so willed, We could have given every soul its guidance, but the word from Me concerning evildoers took effect: that I will fill hell with the jinn and mankind together.
وَلَوْ شِئْنَا لَآتَيْنَا كُلَّ نَفْسٍ هُدَاهَا وَلَكِن ْ حَقَّ ا لْقَ وْ لُ مِنِّ ي لَأَمْلَأَنّ َ جَهَنَّ مَ مِنَ ا لْجِنَّ ةِ وَا ل نّ َا سِ أَجْ مَعِينَ
Fadh ūq ū Bimā Nasītum Liq ā 'a Yawmikum Hādh ā 'Inn ā Nasīnākum ۖ Wa Dh ūq ū `Adh ā ba A l-Kh uldi Bimā Kun tum Ta`malū na (As-Saj dah: 14).
032.014 So taste (the evil of your deeds). Forasmuch as ye forgot the meeting of this your day, lo! We forget you. Taste the doom of immortality because of what ye used to do.
فَذُوقُ وا بِمَا نَسِيتُمْ لِقَ ا ءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا إِنَّ ا نَسِينَاكُمْ ۖ وَذُوقُ وا عَذَا بَ ا لْخُ لْدِ بِمَا كُنْ تُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
'Inn amā Yu'uminu Bi'ā yātinā A l-Ladh ī na 'Idh ā Dh ukkirū Bihā Kh arrū Sujjadāan Wa Sabbaĥū Biĥam di Ra bbihim Wa Hum Lā Yastakbirū na (As-Saj dah: 15).
032.015 Only those believe in Our revelations who, when they are reminded of them, fall down prostrate and hymn the praise of their Lord, and they are not scornful,
إِنَّ مَا يُؤْمِنُ بِآيَاتِنَا ا لَّذِي نَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُوا بِهَا خَ رُّوا سُجَّداً وَسَبَّحُوا بِحَمْدِ رَ بِّهِمْ وَهُمْ لاَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
Tatajāfá Junūbuhum `Ani A l-Mađāji`i Yad `ū na Ra bbahum Kh awfāan Wa Ţ ama`āan Wa Mimm ā Ra zaq nāhum Yun fiq ū na (As-Saj dah: 16).
032.016 Who forsake their beds to cry unto their Lord in fear and hope, and spend of that We have bestowed on them.
تَتَجَافَى جُنُوبُهُمْ عَنِ ا لْمَضَ اجِعِ يَدْ عُو نَ رَ بَّهُمْ خَ وْفاً وَطَ مَعاً وَمِمَّ ا رَ زَقْ نَاهُمْ يُن فِقُ ونَ
Falā Ta`lamu Nafsun Mā 'Ukh fiya Lahum Min Q urra ti 'A`yunin Jazā 'an Bimā Kānū Ya`malū na (As-Saj dah: 17).
032.017 No soul knoweth what is kept hid for them of joy, as a reward for what they used to do.
فَلاَ تَعْلَمُ نَفْسٌ مَا أُخْ فِيَ لَهُمْ مِن ْ قُ رَّ ةِ أَعْيُنٍ جَزَا ءً بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
'Afaman Kā na Mu'umināan Kaman Kā na Fāsiq āan ۚ Lā Yastawū na (As-Saj dah: 18).
032.018 Is he who is a believer like unto him who is an evil-liver ? They are not alike.
أَفَمَن ْ كَا نَ مُؤْمِناً كَمَن ْ كَا نَ فَاسِق اً ۚ لاَ يَسْتَوُونَ
'Amm ā A l-Ladh ī na 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū A ş -Ş āliĥā ti Falahum Jann ā tu A l-Ma'w 5 Nuzulāan Bimā Kānū Ya`malū na (As-Saj dah: 19).
032.019 But as for those who believe and do good works, for them are the Gardens of Retreat - a welcome (in reward) for what they used to do.
أَمَّ ا ا لَّذِي نَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا ا ل صَّ الِحَا تِ فَلَهُمْ جَنّ َا تُ ا لْمَأْوَى نُزُلاً بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
Wa 'Amm ā A l-Ladh ī na Fasaq ū Fama'w 7humu A n -Nā ru ۖ Kullamā 'Arā dū 'An Yakh ru jū Minhā 'U`īdū Fīhā Wa Q ī la Lahum Dh ūq ū `Adh ā ba A n -Nā r i A l-Ladh ī Kun tum Bihi Tukadh dh ibū na (As-Saj dah: 20).
032.020 And as for those who do evil, their retreat is the Fire. Whenever they desire to issue forth from thence, they are brought back thither. Unto them it is said: Taste the torment of the Fire which ye used to deny.
وَأَمَّ ا ا لَّذِي نَ فَسَقُ وا فَمَأْوَاهُمُ ا ل نّ َا رُ ۖ كُلَّمَا أَرَ ادُو ا أَن ْ يَخْ رُجُوا مِنْ هَا أُعِيدُوا فِيهَا وَقِ ي لَ لَهُمْ ذُوقُ وا عَذَا بَ ا ل نّ َا رِ ا لَّذِي كُنْ تُمْ بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ
Wa Lanudh īq ann ahum Mina A l-`Adh ā bi A l-'Ad ná Dū na A l-`Adh ā bi A l-'Akbar i La`allahum Yarji`ū na (As-Saj dah: 21).
032.021 And verily We make them taste the lower punishment before the greater, that haply they may return.
وَلَنُذِيقَ نَّ هُمْ مِنَ ا لْعَذَا بِ ا لأَدْ نَى دُو نَ ا لْعَذَا بِ ا لأَكْبَرِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ
Wa Man 'Ažlamu Mimm an Dh ukkir a Bi'ā yā ti Ra bbihi Th umm a 'A`ra đa `Anhā ۚ 'Inn ā Mina A l-Muj r imī na Mun taq imū na (As-Saj dah: 22).
032.022 And who doth greater wrong than he who is reminded of the revelations of his Lord, then turneth from them. Lo! We shall requite the guilty.
وَمَن ْ أَظْ لَمُ مِمَّ ن ْ ذُكِّرَ بِآيَا تِ رَ بِّهِ ثُمّ َ أَعْرَ ضَ عَنْ هَا ۚ إِنَّ ا مِنَ ا لْمُجْ رِ مِي نَ مُن تَقِ مُونَ
Wa Laq ad 'Ātaynā Mūsá A l-Kitā ba Falā Takun Fī Mir yatin Min Liq ā 'ihi ۖ Wa Ja`alnā hu Hudan Libanī 'Isrā 'ī la (As-Saj dah: 23).
032.023 We verily gave Moses the Scripture; so be not ye in doubt of his receiving it; and We appointed it a guidance for the Children of Israel.
وَلَقَ دْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى ا لْكِتَا بَ فَلاَ تَكُن ْ فِي مِر ْيَةٍ مِن ْ لِقَ ا ئِهِ ۖ وَجَعَلْنَا هُ هُد ىً لِبَنِي إِسْرَا ئِ يلَ
Wa Ja`alnā Minhum 'A'imm atan Yahdū na Bi'am r inā Lamm ā Ş abarū ۖ Wa Kānū Bi'ā yātinā Yūq inū na (As-Saj dah: 24).
032.024 And when they became steadfast and believed firmly in Our revelations, We appointed from among them leaders who guided by Our command.
وَجَعَلْنَا مِنْ هُمْ أَئِمَّ ةً يَهْدُو نَ بِأَمْرِ نَا لَمَّ ا صَ بَرُوا ۖ وَكَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يُوقِ نُونَ
'Inn a Ra bbaka Huwa Yafş ilu Baynahum Yaw ma A l-Q iyāmati Fīmā Kānū Fī hi Yakh talifū na (As-Saj dah: 25).
032.025 Lo! thy Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they used to differ.
إِنّ َ رَ بَّكَ هُوَ يَفْصِ لُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْ مَ ا لْقِ يَامَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا فِي هِ يَخْ تَلِفُونَ
'Awalam Yahdi Lahum Kam 'Ahlaknā Min Q ab lihim Mina A l-Q urū ni Yam sh ū na Fī Masākinihim ۚ 'Inn a Fī Dh ālika La'ā yā tin ۖ 'Afalā Yasma`ū na (As-Saj dah: 26).
032.026 Is it not a guidance for them (to observe) how many generations We destroyed before them, amid whose dwelling places they do walk ? Lo! therein verily are portents! Will they not then heed ?
أَوَلَمْ يَهْدِ لَهُمْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن ْ قَ بْ لِهِمْ مِنَ ا لْقُ رُو نِ يَمْشُو نَ فِي مَسَاكِنِهِمْ ۚ إِنّ َ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَا تٍ ۖ أَفَلاَ يَسْمَعُونَ
'Awalam Yara wā 'Ann ā Nasū q u A l-Mā 'a 'Ilá A l-'Arđi A l-Juru zi Fanukh r iju Bihi Zar`āan Ta'kulu Minhu 'An`āmuhum Wa 'An fusuhum ۖ 'Afalā Yub ş irū na (As-Saj dah: 27).
032.027 Have they not seen how We lead the water to the barren land and therewith bring forth crops whereof their cattle eat, and they themselves ? Will they not then see ?
أَوَلَمْ يَرَ وْا أَنَّ ا نَسُو قُ ا لْمَا ءَ إِلَى ا لأَرْضِ ا لْجُرُزِ فَنُخْ رِ جُ بِهِ زَرْعاً تَأْكُلُ مِنْ هُ أَنْ عَامُهُمْ وَأَن فُسُهُمْ ۖ أَفَلاَ يُبْ صِ رُونَ
Wa Yaq ūlū na Matá Hādh ā A l-Fatĥu 'In Kun tum Ş ādiq ī na (As-Saj dah: 28).
032.028 And they say: When cometh this victory (of yours) if ye are truthful ?
وَيَقُ ولُو نَ مَتَى هَذَا ا لْفَتْحُ إِن ْ كُنْ تُمْ صَ ادِقِ ينَ
Q ul Yaw ma A l-Fatĥi Lā Yan fa`u A l-Ladh ī na Kafarū 'Īmānuhum Wa Lā Hum Yun žarū na (As-Saj dah: 29).
032.029 Say (unto them): On the day of the victory the faith of those who disbelieve (and who then will believe) will not avail them, neither will they be reprieved.
قُ لْ يَوْ مَ ا لْفَتْحِ لاَ يَن فَعُ ا لَّذِي نَ كَفَرُو ا إِيمَانُهُمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يُنْ ظَ رُونَ
Fa'a`r iđ `Anhum Wa A n tažir 'Inn ahum Mun tažirū na (As-Saj dah: 30).
032.030 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad), and await (the event). Lo! they (also) are awaiting (it).
فَأَعْرِ ضْ عَنْ هُمْ وَا نْ تَظِ ر ْ إِنَّ هُمْ مُن تَظِ رُونَ
