Tabbat Yadā 'Abī Lahabin Wa Tabba
Perish the two hands of Abû Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! (Al-Masad 111:1)
تَبَّتْ يَدَا أَبِي لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ
Mā 'Agh u Wa Mā Kasaba
His wealth and his children (etc.) will not benefit him! (Al-Masad 111:2)

وَامْرَ أَتُهُ حَمَّ الَةَ ا لْحَطَ بِ
Fī Jīdihā Ĥab lun Min Masad in
In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad (palm fibre). (Al-Masad 111:5)
فِي جِيدِهَا حَبْ لٌ مِن ْ مَسَدٍ
