Ţ ā-Sīn -Mīm
TāSīnMīm. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'ān, and none but Allāh (Alone) knows their meanings.] (Ash-Shu'ara 26:1)
طَ ا-سِين -مِيم
Tilka 'Āyā tu A l-Kitā bi A l-Mubī ni
These are the Verses of the manifest Book [this Qur'ān, which was promised by Allāh in the Taurāt (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), makes things clear]. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:2)
تِلْكَ آيَا تُ ا لْكِتَا بِ ا لْمُبِينِ
La`allaka Bākh i`un Nafsaka 'Allā Yakūnū Mu'uminī na
It may be that you (O Muhammad SAW) are going to kill yourself with grief, that they do not become believers [in your Risalah (Messengership) and in your Message of Islāmic Monotheism]. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:3)
لَعَلَّكَ بَاخِ عٌ نَفْسَكَ أَلاَّ يَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ
'In Nash a' Nunazzil `Alayhim Mina A s-Samā 'i 'Āyatan Fažallat 'A`nāq uhum Lahā Kh āđi`ī na
If We will, We could send down to them from the heaven a sign, to which they would bend their necks in humility. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:4)
إِن ْ نَشَأْ نُنَزِّلْ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ ا ل سَّمَا ءِ آيَة ً فَظَ لَّتْ أَعْنَاقُ هُمْ لَهَا خَ اضِ عِينَ
Wa Mā Ya'tīhim Min Dh ikr in Mina A r-Ra ĥmā ni Muĥdath in 'Illā Kānū `Anhu Mu`r iđī na
And never comes there unto them a Reminder as a recent revelation from the Most Beneficent (Allāh), but they turn away therefrom. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:5)
وَمَا يَأْتِيهِمْ مِن ْ ذِكْرٍ مِنَ ا ل رَّ حْمَنِ مُحْدَثٍ إِلاَّ كَانُوا عَنْ هُ مُعْر ِضِ ينَ
Faq ad Kadh dh abū Fasaya'tīhim 'An bā 'u Mā Kānū Bihi Yastahzi'ūn
So they have indeed denied (the truth this Qur'ān), then the news of what they mocked at, will come to them. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:6)
فَقَ د ْ كَذَّبُوا فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْ أَنْ بَا ءُ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُ ون
'Awalam Yara w 'Ilá A l-'Arđi Kam 'An batnā Fīhā Min Kulli Zaw jin Kar ī min
Do they not observe the earth, how much of every good kind We cause to grow therein? (Ash-Shu'ara 26:7)
أَوَلَمْ يَرَ وْا إِلَى ا لأَرْضِ كَمْ أَنْ بَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن ْ كُلِّ زَوْ جٍ كَر ِيمٍ
'Inn a Fī Dh ālika La'ā yatan ۖ Wa Mā Kā na 'Akth aru hum Mu'uminī na
Verily, in this is an Ayāh (proof or sign), yet most of them (polytheists, pagans, etc., who do not believe in Resurrection) are not believers. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:8)
إِنّ َ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً ۖ وَمَا كَا نَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa 'Inn a Ra bbaka Lahuwa A l-`Azī zu A r-Ra ĥī mu
And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:9)
وَإِنّ َ رَ بَّكَ لَهُوَ ا لْعَزِي زُ ا ل رَّ حِيمُ
Wa 'Idh Nādá Ra bbuka Mūsá 'Ani A 'ti A l-Q aw ma A ž-Ž ālimī na
And (remember) when your Lord called Mûsa (Moses) (saying): "Go to the people who are Zālimûn (polytheists and wrong-doing), (Ash-Shu'ara 26:10)
وَإِذْ نَادَى رَ بُّكَ مُوسَى أَنِ ا ئْتِ ا لْقَ وْ مَ ا ل ظَّ الِمِينَ
Q aw ma Fir `aw na ۚ 'Alā Yattaq ū na
The people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh). Will they not fear Allāh and become righteous?" (Ash-Shu'ara 26:11)
قَ وْ مَ فِر ْعَوْ نَ ۚ أَلاَ يَتَّقُ ونَ
Q ā la Ra bbi 'Inn ī 'Akh ā fu 'An Yukadh dh ibū ni
He said: "My Lord! Verily, I fear that they will belie me, (Ash-Shu'ara 26:12)
قَ ا لَ رَ بِّ إِنِّ ي أَخَ ا فُ أَن ْ يُكَذِّبُونِ
Wa Yađī q u Ş ad r ī Wa Lā Yan ţ aliq u Lisānī Fa'arsil 'Ilá Hārū na
"And my breast straitens, and my tongue expresses not well. So send for Hārûn (Aaron) (to come along with me). (Ash-Shu'ara 26:13)
وَيَضِ ي قُ صَ د ْر ِي وَلاَ يَنْ طَ لِقُ لِسَانِي فَأَرْسِلْ إِلَى هَارُونَ
Wa Lahum `Alay ya Dh an bun Fa'akh ā fu 'An Yaq tulū ni
"And they have a charge of crime against me, and I fear they will kill me." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:14)
وَلَهُمْ عَلَيَّ ذَنْ بٌ فَأَخَ ا فُ أَن ْ يَقْ تُلُونِ
Q ā la Kallā ۖ Fādh /habā Bi'āyātinā ۖ 'Inn ā Ma`akum Mustami`ū na
Allāh said: "Nay! Go you both with Our Signs. Verily! We shall be with you, listening. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:15)
قَ ا لَ كَلاَّ ۖ فَاذْهَبَا بِآيَاتِنَا ۖ إِنَّ ا مَعَكُمْ مُسْتَمِعُونَ
Fa'tiyā Fir `aw na Faq ūlā 'Inn ā Ra sū lu Ra bbi A l-`Ālamī na
"And when you both come to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), say: 'We are the Messengers of the Lord of the 'Alamīn (mankind, jinns and all that exists), (Ash-Shu'ara 26:16)
فَأْتِيَا فِر ْعَوْ نَ فَقُ ولاَ إِنَّ ا رَ سُو لُ رَ بِّ ا لْعَالَمِينَ
'An 'Arsil Ma`anā Banī 'Isrā 'ī la
"So allow the Children of Israel to go with us.' " (Ash-Shu'ara 26:17)
أَن ْ أَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا بَنِي إِسْرَا ئِ يلَ
Q ā la 'Alam Nura bbika Fīnā Walīdāan Wa Labith ta Fīnā Min `Umur ika Sinī na
[Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said [to Mûsa (Moses)]: "Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you did dwell many years of your life with us. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:18)
قَ ا لَ أَلَمْ نُرَ بِّكَ فِينَا وَلِيدا ً وَلَبِثْتَ فِينَا مِن ْ عُمُر ِكَ سِنِينَ
Wa Fa`alta Fa`lataka A llatī Fa`alta Wa 'An ta Mina A l-Kāfir ī na
"And you did your deed, which you did (i.e. the crime of killing a man). And you are one of the ingrates." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:19)
وَفَعَلْتَ فَعْلَتَكَ ا لَّتِي فَعَلْتَ وَأَنْ تَ مِنَ ا لْكَافِر ِينَ
Q ā la Fa`altuhā 'Idh āan Wa 'Anā Mina A đ-Đ ā llīn
Mûsa (Moses) said: "I did it then, when I was an ignorant (as regards my Lord and His Message). (Ash-Shu'ara 26:20)
قَ ا لَ فَعَلْتُهَا إِذا ً وَأَنَا مِنَ ا ل ضَّ ا لِّين
Fafara rtu Min kum Lamm ā Kh iftukum Fawahaba Lī Ra bbī Ĥukmāan Wa Ja`alanī Mina A l-Mursalī na
"So I fled from you when I feared you. But my Lord has granted me Hukman (i.e. religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood), and appointed me as one of the Messengers. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:21)
فَفَرَ رْتُ مِنْ كُمْ لَمَّ ا خِ فْتُكُمْ فَوَهَبَ لِي رَ بِّي حُكْما ً وَجَعَلَنِي مِنَ ا لْمُرْسَلِينَ
Wa Tilka Ni`matun Tamunn uhā `Alay ya 'An `Abbad ta Banī 'Isrā 'ī la
"And this is the past favour with which you reproach me, that you have enslaved the Children of Israel." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:22)
وَتِلْكَ نِعْمَةٌ تَمُنُّ هَا عَلَيَّ أَن ْ عَبَّد ْتَ بَنِي إِسْرَا ئِ يلَ
Q ā la Fir `aw nu Wa Mā Ra bbu A l-`Ālamī na
Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the 'Alamīn (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?" (Ash-Shu'ara 26:23)
قَ ا لَ فِر ْعَوْ نُ وَمَا رَ بُّ ا لْعَالَمِينَ
Q ā la Ra bbu A s-Samāwā ti Wa A l-'Arđi Wa Mā Baynahumā ۖ 'In Kun tum Mūq inī na
Mûsa (Moses) said: "Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, if you seek to be convinced with certainty." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:24)
قَ ا لَ رَ بُّ ا ل سَّمَاوَا تِ وَا لأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ إن ْ كُن تُمْ مُوقِ نِينَ
Q ā la Liman Ĥawlahu~ 'Alā Tastami`ū na
Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Do you not hear (what he says)?" (Ash-Shu'ara 26:25)
قَ ا لَ لِمَن ْ حَوْلَهُ~ُ أَلاَ تَسْتَمِعُونَ
Q ā la Ra bbukum Wa Ra bbu 'Ābā 'ikumu A l-'Awwalī na
Mûsa (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers!" (Ash-Shu'ara 26:26)
قَ ا لَ رَ بُّكُمْ وَرَ بُّ آبَا ئِكُمُ ا لأَوَّلِينَ
Q ā la 'Inn a Ra sūlakumu A l-Ladh ī 'Ursila 'Ilaykum Lamaj nū nun
Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Verily, your Messenger who has been sent to you is a madman!" (Ash-Shu'ara 26:27)
قَ ا لَ إِنّ َ رَ سُولَكُمُ ا لَّذِي أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ لَمَجْ نُونٌ
Q ā la Ra bbu A l-Mash r iq i Wa A l-Magh r ibi Wa Mā Baynahumā ۖ 'In Kun tum Ta`q ilū na
Mûsa (Moses) said: "Lord of the east and the west, and all that is between them, if you did but understand!" (Ash-Shu'ara 26:28)
قَ ا لَ رَ بُّ ا لْمَشْر ِقِ وَا لْمَغْ ر ِبِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ إِن ْ كُنْ تُمْ تَعْقِ لُونَ
Q ā la La'ini A ttakh adh ta 'Ilahāan Gh ayr ī La'aj `alann aka Mina A l-Masjūnī na
Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "If you choose an ilāh (god) other than me, I will certainly put you among the prisoners." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:29)
قَ ا لَ لَئِنِ ا تَّخَ ذْتَ إِلَهَاً غَ يْر ِي لَأَجْ عَلَنَّ كَ مِنَ ا لْمَسْجُونِينَ
Q ā la 'Awalaw Ji'tuka Bish ay 'in Mubī nin
Mûsa (Moses) said: "Even if I bring you something manifest (and convincing)?" (Ash-Shu'ara 26:30)
قَ ا لَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكَ بِشَيْ ءٍ مُبِينٍ
Q ā la Fa'ti Bihi~ 'In Kun ta Mina A ş -Ş ādiq ī na
Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Bring it forth then, if you are of the truthful!" (Ash-Shu'ara 26:31)
قَ ا لَ فَأْتِ بِهِ إِن ْ كُنْ تَ مِنَ ا ل صَّ ادِقِ ينَ
Fa'alq á `Aş ā hu Fa'idh ā Hiya Th u`bā nun Mubī nun
So [Mûsa (Moses)] threw his stick, and behold, it was a serpent, manifest. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:32)
فَأَلْقَ ى عَصَ ا هُ فَإِذَا هِيَ ثُعْبَا نٌ مُبِينٌ
Wa Naza`a Yadahu Fa'idh ā Hiya Bayđā 'u Lilnn āžir ī na
And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! (Ash-Shu'ara 26:33)
وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ بَيْضَ ا ءُ لِلنَّ اظِ ر ِينَ
Q ā la Lilmala'i Ĥawlahu~ 'Inn a Hādh ā Lasāĥir un `Alī mun
[Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said to the chiefs around him: "Verily! This is indeed a well-versed sorcerer. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:34)
قَ ا لَ لِلْمَلَإِ حَوْلَهُ~ ُ إِنّ َ هَذَا لَسَاحِرٌ عَلِيمٌ
Yur ī du 'An Yukh r ijakum Min 'Arđikum Bisiĥr ihi Famādh ā Ta'murū na
"He wants to drive you out of your land by his sorcery, then what is it your counsel, and what do you command?" (Ash-Shu'ara 26:35)
يُر ِي دُ أَن ْ يُخْ ر ِجَكُمْ مِن ْ أَرْضِ كُمْ بِسِحْر ِهِ فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُونَ
Q ālū 'Arjihi Wa 'Akh ā hu Wa A b `ath Fī A l-Madā 'ini Ĥāsh ir ī na
They said: "Put him off and his brother (for a while), and send callers to the cities; (Ash-Shu'ara 26:36)
قَ الُو ا أَرْجِهِ وَأَخَ ا هُ وَا بْ عَثْ فِي ا لْمَدَا ئِنِ حَاشِر ِينَ
Ya'tū ka Bikulli Saĥĥā r in `Alī min
"To bring up to you every well-versed sorcerer." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:37)
يَأْتُو كَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّا رٍ عَلِيمٍ
Fajumi`a A s-Saĥara tu Limīq ā ti Yaw min Ma`lū min
So the sorcerers were assembled at a fixed time on a day appointed. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:38)
فَجُمِعَ ا ل سَّحَرَ ةُ لِمِيقَ ا تِ يَوْ مٍ مَعْلُومٍ
Wa Q ī la Lilnn ā si Hal 'An tum Muj tami`ū na
And it was said to the people: "Are you (too) going to assemble? (Ash-Shu'ara 26:39)
وَقِ ي لَ لِلنّ َا سِ هَلْ أَنْ تُمْ مُجْ تَمِعُونَ
La`allanā Nattabi`u A s-Saĥara ta 'In Kānū Humu A l-Gh ālibī na
"That we may follow the sorcerers [who were on Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) religion of disbelief] if they are the winners." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:40)
لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ ا ل سَّحَرَ ةَ إِن ْ كَانُوا هُمُ ا لْغَ الِبِينَ
Falamm ā Jā 'a A s-Saĥara tu Q ālū Lifir `aw na 'A'inn a Lanā La'aj rā an 'In Kunn ā Naĥnu A l-Gh ālibī na
So when the sorcerers arrived, they said to Fir'aun (Pharaoh): "Will there surely be a reward for us if we are the winners?" (Ash-Shu'ara 26:41)
فَلَمَّ ا جَا ءَ ا ل سَّحَرَ ةُ قَ الُوا لِفِر ْعَوْ نَ أَئِنّ َ لَنَا لَأَجْ را ً إِن ْ كُنَّ ا نَحْنُ ا لْغَ الِبِينَ
Q ā la Na`am Wa 'Inn akum 'Idh āan Lamina A l-Muq arra bī na
He said: "Yes, and you shall then verily be of those brought near (to myself)." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:42)
قَ ا لَ نَعَمْ وَإِنَّ كُمْ إِذا ً لَمِنَ ا لْمُقَ رَّ بِينَ
Q ā la Lahum Mūsá 'Alq ū Mā 'An tum Mulq ū na
Mûsa (Moses) said to them: "Throw what you are going to throw!" (Ash-Shu'ara 26:43)
قَ ا لَ لَهُمْ مُوسَى أَلْقُ وا مَا أَنْ تُمْ مُلْقُ ونَ
Fa'alq aw Ĥibālahum Wa `Iş īyahum Wa Q ālū Bi`izzati Fir `aw na 'Inn ā Lanaĥnu A l-Gh ālibū na
So they threw their ropes and their sticks, and said: "By the might of Fir'aun (Pharaoh), it is we who will certainly win!" (Ash-Shu'ara 26:44)
فَأَلْقَ وْا حِبَالَهُمْ وَعِصِ يَّهُمْ وَقَ الُوا بِعِزَّةِ فِر ْعَوْ نَ إِنَّ ا لَنَحْنُ ا لْغَ الِبُونَ
Fa'alq á Mūsá `Aş ā hu Fa'idh ā Hiya Talq afu Mā Ya'fikū na
Then Mûsa (Moses) threw his stick, and behold, it swallowed up all the falsehoods which they showed! (Ash-Shu'ara 26:45)
فَأَلْقَ ى مُوسَى عَصَ ا هُ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَلْقَ فُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ
Fa'ulq iya A s-Saĥara tu Sājidī na
And the sorcerers fell down prostrate. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:46)
فَأُلْقِ يَ ا ل سَّحَرَ ةُ سَاجِدِينَ
Q ālū 'Āmann ā Bira bbi A l-`Ālamī na
Saying: "We believe in the Lord of the 'Alamīn (mankind, jinns and all that exists). (Ash-Shu'ara 26:47)
قَ الُو ا آمَنَّ ا بِرَ بِّ ا لْعَالَمِينَ
Ra bbi Mūsá Wa Hārū na
"The Lord of Mûsa (Moses) and Hārûn (Aaron)." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:48)
رَ بِّ مُوسَى وَهَارُونَ
Q ā la 'Āman tum Lahu Q ab la 'An 'Ādh ana Lakum ۖ 'Inn ahu Lakabīru kumu A l-Ladh ī `Allamakumu A s-Siĥra Falasaw fa Ta`lamū na ۚ La'uq aţ ţ i`ann a 'Aydiyakum Wa 'Arjulakum Min Kh ilā fin Wa La'uş allibann akum 'Aj ma`ī na
[Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said: "You have believed in him before I give you leave. Surely, he indeed is your chief, who has taught you magic! So verily, you shall come to know. Verily, I will cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will crucify you all." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:49)
قَ ا لَ آمَنْ تُمْ لَهُ قَ بْ لَ أَن ْ آذَنَ لَكُمْ ۖ إِنَّ هُ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ ا لَّذِي عَلَّمَكُمُ ا ل سِّحْرَ فَلَسَوْ فَ تَعْلَمُو نَ ۚ لَأُقَ طِّ عَنّ َ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ مِن ْ خِ لاَفٍ وَلَأُصَ لِّبَنَّ كُمْ أَجْ مَعِينَ
Q ālū Lā Đ ay ra ۖ 'Inn ā 'Ilá Ra bbinā Mun q alibū na
They said: "No harm! Surely, to our Lord (Allāh) we are to return; (Ash-Shu'ara 26:50)
قَ الُوا لاَ ضَ يْ رَ ۖ إِنَّ ا إِلَى رَ بِّنَا مُنْ قَ لِبُونَ
'Inn ā Naţ ma`u 'An Yagh fir a Lanā Ra bbunā Kh aţ āyānā 'An Kunn ā 'Awwala A l-Mu'uminī na
"Verily! We really hope that our Lord will forgive us our sins, as we are the first of the believers [in Mûsa (Moses) and in the Monotheism which he has brought from Allāh]." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:51)
إِنَّ ا نَطْ مَعُ أَن ْ يَغْ فِر َ لَنَا رَ بُّنَا خَ طَ ايَانَا أَن ْ كُنَّ ا أَوَّلَ ا لْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa 'Awĥaynā 'Ilá Mūsá 'An 'Asr i Bi`ibādī 'Inn akum Muttaba`ū na
And We inspired Mûsa (Moses), saying: "Take away My slaves by night, verily, you will be pursued." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:52)
وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَى مُوسَى أَن ْ أَسْر ِ بِعِبَادِي إِنَّ كُمْ مُتَّبَعُونَ
Fa'arsala Fir `aw nu Fī A l-Madā 'ini Ĥāsh ir ī na
Then Fir'aun (Pharaoh) sent callers to (all) the cities. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:53)
فَأَرْسَلَ فِر ْعَوْ نُ فِي ا لْمَدَا ئِنِ حَاشِر ِينَ
'Inn a Hā 'uulā ' Lash ir dh imatun Q alīlū na
(Saying): "Verily! These indeed are but a small band. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:54)
إِنّ َ هَا ؤُلاَء لَشِر ْذِمَةٌ قَ لِيلُونَ
Wa 'Inn ahum Lanā Lagh ā 'ižū na
"And verily, they have done what has enraged us; (Ash-Shu'ara 26:55)
وَإِنَّ هُمْ لَنَا لَغَ ا ئِظُ ونَ
Wa 'Inn ā Lajamī `un Ĥādh irū na
"But we are host all assembled, amply fore-warned." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:56)
وَإِنَّ ا لَجَمِي عٌ حَاذِرُونَ
Fa'akh ra j nāhum Min Jann ā tin Wa `Uyū nin
So, We expelled them from gardens and springs, (Ash-Shu'ara 26:57)
فَأَخْ رَ جْ نَاهُمْ مِن ْ جَنّ َا تٍ وَعُيُونٍ
Wa Kunū zin Wa Maq ā min Kar ī min
Treasures, and every kind of honourable place. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:58)
وَكُنُو زٍ وَمَقَ ا مٍ كَر ِيمٍ
Kadh ālika Wa 'Awra th nāhā Banī 'Isrā 'ī la
Thus [We turned them (Pharaoh's people) out] and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit them. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:59)
كَذَلِكَ وَأَوْرَ ثْنَاهَا بَنِي إِسْرَا ئِ يلَ
Fa'atba`ūhum Mush r iq ī na
So they pursued them at sunrise. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:60)
فَأَتْبَعُوهُمْ مُشْر ِقِ ينَ
Falamm ā Tarā 'á A l-Jam `ā ni Q ā la 'Aş ĥā bu Mūsá 'Inn ā Lamud ra kū na
And when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Mûsa (Moses) said: "We are sure to be overtaken." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:61)
فَلَمَّ ا تَرَا ءَى ا لْجَمْعَا نِ قَ ا لَ أَصْ حَا بُ مُوسَى إِنَّ ا لَمُد ْرَ كُونَ
Q ā la Kallā ۖ 'Inn a Ma`iya Ra bbī Sayahdī ni
[Mûsa (Moses)] said: "Nay, verily! With me is my Lord, He will guide me." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:62)
قَ ا لَ كَلاَّ ۖ إِنّ َ مَعِيَ رَ بِّي سَيَهْدِينِ
Fa'awĥaynā 'Ilá Mūsá 'Ani A đr ib Bi`aş ā ka A l-Baĥra ۖ Fān falaq a Fakā na Kullu Fir q in Kālţ ţ aw di A l-`Ažī mi
Then We inspired Mûsa (Moses) (saying): "Strike the sea with your stick." And it parted, and each separate part (of that sea water) became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:63)
فَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَى مُوسَى أَنِ ا ضْ ر ِب ْ بِعَصَ ا كَ ا لْبَحْرَ ۖ فَان فَلَقَ فَكَا نَ كُلُّ فِر ْق ٍ كَال طَّ وْ دِ ا لْعَظِ يمِ
Wa 'Azlafnā Th amm a A l-'Ākh ar ī na
Then We brought near the others [Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) party] to that place. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:64)
وَأَزْلَفْنَا ثَمّ َ ا لآخَ ر ِينَ
Wa 'An jaynā Mūsá Wa Man Ma`ahu~ 'Aj ma`ī na
And We saved Mûsa (Moses) and all those with him. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:65)
وَأَنْ جَيْنَا مُوسَى وَمَن ْ مَعَهُ~ ُ أَجْ مَعِينَ
Th umm a 'Agh ra q nā A l-'Ākh ar ī na
Then We drowned the others. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:66)
ثُمّ َ أَغْ رَ قْ نَا ا لآخَ ر ِينَ
'Inn a Fī Dh ālika La'ā yatan ۖ Wa Mā Kā na 'Akth aru hum Mu'uminī na
Verily! In this is indeed a sign (or a proof), yet most of them are not believers. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:67)
إِنّ َ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً ۖ وَمَا كَا نَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa 'Inn a Ra bbaka Lahuwa A l-`Azī zu A r-Ra ĥī mu
And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:68)
وَإِنّ َ رَ بَّكَ لَهُوَ ا لْعَزِي زُ ا ل رَّ حِيمُ
Wa A tlu `Alayhim Naba'a 'Ib rā hī ma
And recite to them the story of Ibrāhim (Abraham). (Ash-Shu'ara 26:69)
وَاتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ إِبْ رَ اهِيمَ
'Idh Q ā la Li'abī hi Wa Q awmihi Mā Ta`budū na
When he said to his father and his people: "What do you worship?" (Ash-Shu'ara 26:70)
إِذْ قَ ا لَ لِأَبِي هِ وَقَ وْمِهِ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ
Q ālū Na`budu 'Aş nāmāan Fanažallu Lahā `Ākifī na
They said: "We worship idols, and to them we are ever devoted." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:71)
قَ الُوا نَعْبُدُ أَصْ نَاما ً فَنَظَ لُّ لَهَا عَاكِفِينَ
Q ā la Hal Yasma`ūnakum 'Idh Tad `ū na
He said: "Do they hear you, when you call (on them)? (Ash-Shu'ara 26:72)
قَ ا لَ هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ إِذْ تَد ْعُونَ
'Aw Yan fa`ūnakum 'Aw Yađurrū na
"Or do they benefit you or do they harm (you)?" (Ash-Shu'ara 26:73)
أَوْ يَنْ فَعُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَضُ رُّونَ
Q ālū Bal Wajad nā 'Ābā 'anā Kadh ālika Yaf`alū na
They said: "Nay, but we found our fathers doing so." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:74)
قَ الُوا بَلْ وَجَد ْنَا آبَا ءَنَا كَذَلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ
Q ā la 'Afara 'aytum Mā Kun tum Ta`budū na
He said: "Do you observe that which you have been worshipping, (Ash-Shu'ara 26:75)
قَ ا لَ أَفَرَ أَيْتُمْ مَا كُنْ تُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ
'An tum Wa 'Ābā 'uukumu A l-'Aq damū na
"You and your ancient fathers? (Ash-Shu'ara 26:76)
أَنْ تُمْ وَآبَا ؤُكُمُ ا لأَقْ دَمُونَ
Fa'inn ahum `Adū wun Lī 'Illā Ra bba A l-`Ālamī na
"Verily! They are enemies to me, save the Lord of the 'Alamīn (mankind, jinns and all that exists); (Ash-Shu'ara 26:77)
فَإِنَّ هُمْ عَدُوٌّ لِي إِلاَّ رَ بَّ ا لْعَالَمِينَ
Al-Ladh ī Kh alaq anī Fahuwa Yahdī ni
"Who has created me, and it is He Who guides me; (Ash-Shu'ara 26:78)
ا لَّذِي خَ لَقَ نِي فَهُوَ يَهْدِينِ
Wa A l-Ladh ī Huwa Yuţ `imunī Wa Yasq ī ni
"And it is He Who feeds me and gives me to drink. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:79)
وَالَّذِي هُوَ يُطْ عِمُنِي وَيَسْقِ ينِ
Wa 'Idh ā Mar iđtu Fahuwa Yash fī ni
"And when I am ill, it is He who cures me; (Ash-Shu'ara 26:80)
وَإِذَا مَر ِضْ تُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ
Wa A l-Ladh ī Yumītunī Th umm a Yuĥyī ni
"And Who will cause me to die, and then will bring me to life (again); (Ash-Shu'ara 26:81)
وَالَّذِي يُمِيتُنِي ثُمّ َ يُحْيِينِ
Wa A l-Ladh ī 'Aţ ma`u 'An Yagh fir a Lī Kh aţ ī 'atī Yaw ma A d-Dī ni
"And Who, I hope will forgive me my faults on the Day of Recompense, (the Day of Resurrection)," (Ash-Shu'ara 26:82)
وَالَّذِي أَطْ مَعُ أَن ْ يَغْ فِر َ لِي خَ ط ِي ئَتِي يَوْ مَ ا ل دِّينِ
Ra bbi Hab Lī Ĥukmāan Wa 'Alĥiq nī Biş -Ş āliĥī na
My Lord! Bestow Hukman (religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood) on me, and join me with the righteous; (Ash-Shu'ara 26:83)
رَ بِّ هَب ْ لِي حُكْما ً وَأَلْحِقْ نِي بِا ل صَّ الِحِينَ
Wa A j `al Lī Lisā na Ş id q in Fī A l-'Ākh ir ī na
And grant me an honourable mention in later generations; (Ash-Shu'ara 26:84)
وَاجْ عَلْ لِي لِسَا نَ صِ د ْق ٍ فِي ا لآخِ ر ِينَ
Wa A j `alnī Min Wara th ati Jann ati A n -Na`ī mi
And make me one of the inheritors of the Paradise of Delight; (Ash-Shu'ara 26:85)
وَاجْ عَلْنِي مِن ْ وَرَ ثَةِ جَنَّ ةِ ا ل نَّ عِيمِ
Wa A gh fir Li'abī 'Inn ahu Kā na Mina A đ-Đ ā llī na
And forgive my father, verily he is of the erring; (Ash-Shu'ara 26:86)
وَاغْ فِر ْ لِأَبِي إِنَّ هُ كَا نَ مِنَ ا ل ضَّ ا لِّينَ
Wa Lā Tukh zinī Yaw ma Yub `ath ū na
And disgrace me not on the Day when (all the creatures) will be resurrected; (Ash-Shu'ara 26:87)
وَلاَ تُخْ زِنِي يَوْ مَ يُبْ عَثُونَ
Yaw ma Lā Yan fa`u Mā lun Wa Lā Banū na
The Day whereon neither wealth nor sons will avail, (Ash-Shu'ara 26:88)
يَوْ مَ لاَ يَنْ فَعُ مَا لٌ وَلاَ بَنُونَ
'Illā Man 'Atá A ll āha Biq albin Salī min
Except him who brings to Allāh a clean heart [clean from Shirk (polytheism) and Nifāq (hypocrisy)]. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:89)
إِلاَّ مَن ْ أَتَى ا للَّ هَ بِقَ لْبٍ سَلِيمٍ
Wa 'Uzlifati A l-Jann atu Lilmuttaq ī na
And Paradise will be brought near to the Muttaqûn (pious - see V.2:2). (Ash-Shu'ara 26:90)
وَأُزْلِفَتِ ا لْجَنَّ ةُ لِلْمُتَّقِ ينَ
Wa Burr izati A l-Jaĥī mu Lilgh āwī na
And the (Hell) Fire will be placed in full view of the erring. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:91)
وَبُرِّزَتِ ا لْجَحِي مُ لِلْغَ اوِينَ
Wa Q ī la Lahum 'Ay na Mā Kun tum Ta`budū na
And it will be said to them: "Where are those (the false gods whom you used to set up as rivals with Allāh) that you used to worship (Ash-Shu'ara 26:92)
وَقِ ي لَ لَهُمْ أَيْ نَ مَا كُنْ تُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ
Min Dū ni A ll ā hi Hal Yan ş urūnakum 'Aw Yan taş irū na
"Instead of Allāh? Can they help you or (even) help themselves?" (Ash-Shu'ara 26:93)
مِن ْ دُو نِ ا للَّ هِ هَلْ يَنْ صُ رُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَنْ تَصِ رُونَ
Fakub kibū Fīhā Hum Wa A l-Gh āwū na
Then they will be thrown on their faces into the (Fire), They and the Ghāwûn (devils, and those who were in error). (Ash-Shu'ara 26:94)
فَكُبْ كِبُوا فِيهَا هُمْ وَا لْغَ اوُونَ
Wa Junū du 'Ib lī sa 'Aj ma`ū na
And the whole hosts of Iblīs (Satan) together. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:95)
وَجُنُو دُ إِبْ لِي سَ أَجْ مَعُونَ
Q ālū Wa Hum Fīhā Yakh taş imū na
They will say while contending therein, (Ash-Shu'ara 26:96)
قَ الُوا وَهُمْ فِيهَا يَخْ تَصِ مُونَ
Ta-Allā hi 'In Kunn ā Lafī Đ alā lin Mubī nin
By Allāh, we were truly in a manifest error, (Ash-Shu'ara 26:97)
تَاللَّهِ إِن ْ كُنَّ ا لَفِي ضَ لاَلٍ مُبِينٍ
'Idh Nusawwīkum Bira bbi A l-`Ālamī na
When We held you (false gods) as equals (in worship) with the Lord of the 'Alamīn (mankind, jinns and all that exists); (Ash-Shu'ara 26:98)
إِذْ نُسَوِّيكُمْ بِرَ بِّ ا لْعَالَمِينَ
Wa Mā 'Ađallanā 'Illā A l-Muj r imū na
And none has brought us into error except the Mujrimûn [Iblīs (Satan) and those of human beings who commit crimes, murderers, polytheists, oppressors, etc.]. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:99)
وَمَا أَضَ لَّنَا إِلاَّ ا لْمُجْ ر ِمُونَ
Famā Lanā Min Sh āfi`ī na
Now we have no intercessors, (Ash-Shu'ara 26:100)
فَمَا لَنَا مِن ْ شَافِعِينَ
Wa Lā Ş adī q in Ĥamī min
Nor a close friend (to help us). (Ash-Shu'ara 26:101)
وَلاَ صَ دِي قٍ حَمِيمٍ
Falaw 'Ann a Lanā Karra tan Fanakū na Mina A l-Mu'uminī na
(Alas!) If we only had a chance to return (to the world), we shall truly be among the believers! (Ash-Shu'ara 26:102)
فَلَوْ أَنّ َ لَنَا كَرَّ ة ً فَنَكُو نَ مِنَ ا لْمُؤْمِنِينَ
'Inn a Fī Dh ālika La'ā yatan ۖ Wa Mā Kā na 'Akth aru hum Mu'uminī na
Verily! In this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:103)
إِنّ َ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً ۖ وَمَا كَا نَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa 'Inn a Ra bbaka Lahuwa A l-`Azī zu A r-Ra ĥī mu
And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:104)
وَإِنّ َ رَ بَّكَ لَهُوَ ا لْعَزِي زُ ا ل رَّ حِيمُ
Kadh dh abat Q aw mu Nūĥin A l-Mursalī na
The people of Nûh (Noah) belied the Messengers. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:105)
كَذَّبَتْ قَ وْ مُ نُو حٍ ا لْمُرْسَلِينَ
'Idh Q ā la Lahum 'Akh ūhum Nūĥun 'Alā Tattaq ū na
When their brother Nûh (Noah) said to them: "Will you not fear Allāh and obey Him? (Ash-Shu'ara 26:106)
إِذْ قَ ا لَ لَهُمْ أَخُ وهُمْ نُو حٌ أَلاَ تَتَّقُ ونَ
'Inn ī Lakum Ra sū lun 'Amī nun
"I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:107)
إِنِّ ي لَكُمْ رَ سُو لٌ أَمِينٌ
Fā ttaq ū A ll aha Wa 'Aţ ī`ū ni
"So fear Allāh, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:108)
فَاتَّقُ وا ا للَّ هَ وَأَطِ يعُونِ
Wa Mā 'As'alukum `Alay hi Min 'Aj r in ۖ 'In 'Aj r ī 'Illā `Alá Ra bbi A l-`Ālamī na
"No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islāmic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamīn (mankind, jinns and all that exists). (Ash-Shu'ara 26:109)
وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْ هِ مِن ْ أَجْ رٍ ۖ إِن ْ أَجْ ر ِي إِلاَّ عَلَى رَ بِّ ا لْعَالَمِينَ
Fā ttaq ū A ll aha Wa 'Aţ ī`ū ni
"So keep your duty to Allāh, fear Him and obey me." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:110)
فَاتَّقُ وا ا للَّ هَ وَأَطِ يعُونِ
Q ālū 'Anu'uminu Laka Wa A ttaba`aka A l-'Ardh alū na
They said: "Shall we believe in you, when the meanest (of the people) follow you?" (Ash-Shu'ara 26:111)
قَ الُو ا أَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَا تَّبَعَكَ ا لأَرْذَلُونَ
Q ā la Wa Mā `Ilmī Bimā Kānū Ya`malū na
He said: "And what knowledge have I of what they used to do? (Ash-Shu'ara 26:112)
قَ ا لَ وَمَا عِلْمِي بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
'In Ĥisābuhum 'Illā `Alá Ra bbī ۖ Law Tash `urū na
"Their account is only with my Lord, if you could (but) know. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:113)
إِن ْ حِسَابُهُمْ إِلاَّ عَلَى رَ بِّي ۖ لَوْ تَشْعُرُونَ
Wa Mā 'Anā Biţ ār idi A l-Mu'uminī na
"And I am not going to drive away the believers. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:114)
وَمَا أَنَا بِطَ ار ِدِ ا لْمُؤْمِنِينَ
'In 'Anā 'Illā Nadh ī r un Mubī nun
I am only a plain warner." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:115)
إِن ْ أَنَا إِلاَّ نَذِي رٌ مُبِينٌ
Q ālū La'in Lam Tan tahi Yā Nū ĥu Latakūnann a Mina A l-Marjūmī na
They said: "If you cease not, O Nûh (Noah)! You will surely be among those stoned (to death)." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:116)
قَ الُوا لَئِن ْ لَمْ تَنْ تَهِ يَانُو حُ لَتَكُونَنّ َ مِنَ ا لْمَرْجُومِينَ
Q ā la Ra bbi 'Inn a Q awmī Kadh dh abū ni
He said: "My Lord! Verily, my people have belied me. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:117)
قَ ا لَ رَ بِّ إِنّ َ قَ وْمِي كَذَّبُونِ
Fāftaĥ Baynī Wa Baynahum Fatĥāan Wa Najjinī Wa Man Ma`ī Mina A l-Mu'uminī na
Therefore judge You between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:118)
فَافْتَحْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحا ً وَنَجِّنِي وَمَن ْ مَعِي مِنَ ا لْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Fa'an jaynā hu Wa Man Ma`ahu Fī A l-Fulki A l-Mash ĥū ni
And We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:119)
فَأَن جَيْنَا هُ وَمَن ْ مَعَهُ فِي ا لْفُلْكِ ا لْمَشْحُونِ
Th umm a 'Agh ra q nā Ba`du A l-Bāq ī na
Then We drowned the rest (disbelievers) thereafter. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:120)
ثُمّ َ أَغْ رَ قْ نَا بَعْدُ ا لْبَاقِ ينَ
'Inn a Fī Dh ālika La'ā yatan ۖ Wa Mā Kā na 'Akth aru hum Mu'uminī na
Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:121)
إِنّ َ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً ۖ وَمَا كَا نَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa 'Inn a Ra bbaka Lahuwa A l-`Azī zu A r-Ra ĥī mu
And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:122)
وَإِنّ َ رَ بَّكَ لَهُوَ ا لْعَزِي زُ ا ل رَّ حِيمُ
Kadh dh abat `Ā dun A l-Mursalī na
'Ad (people) belied the Messengers. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:123)
كَذَّبَتْ عَا دٌ ا لْمُرْسَلِينَ
'Idh Q ā la Lahum 'Akh ūhum Hū dun 'Alā Tattaq ū na
When their brother Hûd said to them: "Will you not fear Allāh and obey Him? (Ash-Shu'ara 26:124)
إِذْ قَ ا لَ لَهُمْ أَخُ وهُمْ هُو دٌ أَلاَ تَتَّقُ ونَ
'Inn ī Lakum Ra sū lun 'Amī nun
"Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:125)
إِنِّ ي لَكُمْ رَ سُو لٌ أَمِينٌ
Fā ttaq ū A ll aha Wa 'Aţ ī`ū ni
"So fear Allāh, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:126)
فَاتَّقُ وا ا للَّ هَ وَأَطِ يعُونِ
Wa Mā 'As'alukum `Alay hi Min 'Aj r in ۖ 'In 'Aj r ī 'Illā `Alá Ra bbi A l-`Ālamī na
"No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islāmic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamīn (mankind, jinns, and all that exists). (Ash-Shu'ara 26:127)
وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْ هِ مِن ْ أَجْ رٍ ۖ إِن ْ أَجْ ر ِي إِلاَّ عَلَى رَ بِّ ا لْعَالَمِينَ
'Atab nū na Bikulli R ī `in 'Āyatan Ta`bath ū na
"Do you build high palaces on every high place, while you do not live in them? (Ash-Shu'ara 26:128)
أَتَبْ نُو نَ بِكُلِّ ر ِي عٍ آيَة ً تَعْبَثُونَ
Wa Tattakh idh ū na Maş āni`a La`allakum Takh ludū na
"And do you get for yourselves palaces (fine buildings) as if you will live therein for ever. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:129)
وَتَتَّخِ ذُو نَ مَصَ انِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْ لُدُونَ
Wa 'Idh ā Baţ ash tum Baţ ash tum Jabbār ī na
"And when you seize, seize you as tyrants? (Ash-Shu'ara 26:130)
وَإِذَا بَطَ شْتُمْ بَطَ شْتُمْ جَبَّار ِينَ
Fā ttaq ū A ll aha Wa 'Aţ ī`ū ni
"So fear Allāh, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:131)
فَاتَّقُ وا ا للَّ هَ وَأَطِ يعُونِ
Wa A ttaq ū A l-Ladh ī 'Amaddakum Bimā Ta`lamū na
"And keep your duty to Him, fear Him Who has aided you with all (good things) that you know. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:132)
وَاتَّقُ وا ا لَّذِي أَمَدَّكُمْ بِمَا تَعْلَمُونَ
'Amaddakum Bi'an`ā min Wa Banī na
"He has aided you with cattle and children. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:133)
أَمَدَّكُمْ بِأَنْ عَا مٍ وَبَنِينَ
Wa Jann ā tin Wa `Uyū nin
"And gardens and springs. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:134)
وَجَنّ َا تٍ وَعُيُونٍ
'Inn ī 'Akh ā fu `Alaykum `Adh ā ba Yaw min `Ažī min
"Verily, I fear for you the torment of a Great Day." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:135)
إِنِّ ي أَخَ ا فُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَا بَ يَوْ مٍ عَظِ يمٍ
Q ālū Sawā 'un `Alaynā 'Awa`ažta 'Am Lam Takun Mina A l-Wā`ižī na
They said: "It is the same to us whether you preach or be not of those who preach. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:136)
قَ الُوا سَوَا ءٌ عَلَيْنَا أَوَعَظْ تَ أَمْ لَمْ تَكُن ْ مِنَ ا لْوَاعِظِ ينَ
'In Hādh ā 'Illā Kh uluq u A l-'Awwalī na
"This is no other than the false-tales and religion of the ancients, [Tafsir At-Tabarī, Vol.19, Page 97] (Ash-Shu'ara 26:137)
إِن ْ هَذَا إِلاَّ خُ لُقُ ا لأَوَّلِينَ
Wa Mā Naĥnu Bimu`adh dh abī na
"And we are not going to be punished." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:138)
وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ
Fakadh dh abū hu Fa'ahlaknāhum ۗ 'Inn a Fī Dh ālika La'ā yatan ۖ Wa Mā Kā na 'Akth aru hum Mu'uminī na
So they belied him, and We destroyed them. Verily! In this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:139)
فَكَذَّبُو هُ فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ ۗ إِنّ َ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً ۖ وَمَا كَا نَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa 'Inn a Ra bbaka Lahuwa A l-`Azī zu A r-Ra ĥī mu
And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:140)
وَإِنّ َ رَ بَّكَ لَهُوَ ا لْعَزِي زُ ا ل رَّ حِيمُ
Kadh dh abat Th amū du A l-Mursalī na
Thamûd (people) belied the Messenger. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:141)
كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُو دُ ا لْمُرْسَلِينَ
'Idh Q ā la Lahum 'Akh ūhum Ş āliĥun 'Alā Tattaq ū na
When their brother Sālih (Saleh) said to them: "Will you not fear Allāh and obey Him? (Ash-Shu'ara 26:142)
إِذْ قَ ا لَ لَهُمْ أَخُ وهُمْ صَ الِحٌ أَلاَ تَتَّقُ ونَ
'Inn ī Lakum Ra sū lun 'Amī nun
"I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:143)
إِنِّ ي لَكُمْ رَ سُو لٌ أَمِينٌ
Fā ttaq ū A ll aha Wa 'Aţ ī`ū ni
"So fear Allāh, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:144)
فَاتَّقُ وا ا للَّ هَ وَأَطِ يعُونِ
Wa Mā 'As'alukum `Alay hi Min 'Aj r in ۖ 'In 'Aj r iya 'Illā `Alá Ra bbi A l-`Ālamī na
"No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islāmic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamīn (mankind, jinns and all that exists). (Ash-Shu'ara 26:145)
وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْ هِ مِن ْ أَجْ رٍ ۖ إِن ْ أَجْ ر ِيَ إِلاَّ عَلَى رَ بِّ ا لْعَالَمِينَ
'Atutra kū na Fī Mā Hāhunā 'Āminī na
"Will you be left secure in that which you have here? (Ash-Shu'ara 26:146)
أَتُتْرَ كُو نَ فِي مَا هَاهُنَا آمِنِينَ
Fī Jann ā tin Wa `Uyū nin
"In gardens and springs. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:147)
فِي جَنّ َا تٍ وَعُيُونٍ
Wa Zurū `in Wa Nakh lin Ţ al`uhā Hađī mun
And green crops (fields etc.) and date-palms with soft spadix. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:148)
وَزُرُو عٍ وَنَخْ لٍ طَ لْعُهَا هَضِ يمٌ
Wa Tanĥitū na Mina A l-Jibā li Buyūtāan Fār ihī na
"And you carve houses out of mountains with great skill. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:149)
وَتَنْ حِتُو نَ مِنَ ا لْجِبَا لِ بُيُوتا ً فَار ِهِينَ
Fā ttaq ū A ll aha Wa 'Aţ ī`ū ni
"So fear Allāh, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:150)
فَاتَّقُ وا ا للَّ هَ وَأَطِ يعُونِ
Wa Lā Tuţ ī`ū 'Am ra A l-Musr ifī na
"And follow not the command of Al-Musrifûn [i.e. their chiefs, leaders who were polytheists, criminals and sinners], (Ash-Shu'ara 26:151)
وَلاَ تُطِ يعُو ا أَمْرَ ا لْمُسْر ِفِينَ
Al-Ladh ī na Yufsidū na Fī A l-'Arđi Wa Lā Yuş liĥū na
"Who make mischief in the land, and reform not." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:152)
ا لَّذِي نَ يُفْسِدُو نَ فِي ا لأَرْضِ وَلاَ يُصْ لِحُونَ
Q ālū 'Inn amā 'An ta Mina A l-Musaĥĥar ī na
They said: "You are only of those bewitched! (Ash-Shu'ara 26:153)
قَ الُو ا إِنَّ مَا أَنْ تَ مِنَ ا لْمُسَحَّر ِينَ
Mā 'An ta 'Illā Bash aru n Mith lunā Fa'ti Bi'āyatin 'In Kun ta Mina A ş -Ş ādiq ī na
"You are but a human being like us. Then bring us a sign if you are of the truthful." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:154)
مَا أَنْ تَ إِلاَّ بَشَرٌ مِثْلُنَا فَأْتِ بِآيَةٍ إِن ْ كُنْ تَ مِنَ ا ل صَّ ادِقِ ينَ
Q ā la Hadh ihi Nāq atun Lahā Sh ir bun Wa Lakum Sh ir bu Yaw min Ma`lū min
He said: "Here is a she-camel; it has a right to drink (water), and you have a right to drink (water) (each) on a day, known. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:155)
قَ ا لَ هَذِهِ نَاقَ ة ٌ لَهَا شِر ْبٌ وَلَكُمْ شِر ْبُ يَوْ مٍ مَعْلُومٍ
Wa Lā Tamassūhā Bisū 'in Faya'kh udh akum `Adh ā bu Yaw min `Ažī min
"And touch her not with harm, lest the torment of a Great Day seize you." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:156)
وَلاَ تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُو ءٍ فَيَأْخُ ذَكُمْ عَذَا بُ يَوْ مٍ عَظِ يمٍ
Fa`aq arūhā Fa'aş baĥū Nādimī na
But they killed her, and then they became regretful. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:157)
فَعَقَ رُوهَا فَأَصْ بَحُوا نَادِمِينَ
Fa'akh adh ahumu A l-`Adh ā bu ۗ 'Inn a Fī Dh ālika La'ā yatan ۖ Wa Mā Kā na 'Akth aru hum Mu'uminī na
So the torment overtook them. Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:158)
فَأَخَ ذَهُمُ ا لْعَذَا بُ ۗ إِنّ َ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً ۖ وَمَا كَا نَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa 'Inn a Ra bbaka Lahuwa A l-`Azī zu A r-Ra ĥī mu
And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:159)
وَإِنّ َ رَ بَّكَ لَهُوَ ا لْعَزِي زُ ا ل رَّ حِيمُ
Kadh dh abat Q aw mu Lūţ in A l-Mursalī na
The prople of Lout (Lot) (those dwelt in the towns of Sodom in Palestine) belied the Messengers (Ash-Shu'ara 26:160)
كَذَّبَتْ قَ وْ مُ لُو ط ٍ ا لْمُرْسَلِينَ
'Idh Q ā la Lahum 'Akh ūhum Lūţ un 'Alā Tattaq ū na
When their brother Lout (Lot) said to them: "Will you not fear Allāh and obey Him? (Ash-Shu'ara 26:161)
إِذْ قَ ا لَ لَهُمْ أَخُ وهُمْ لُو طٌ أَلاَ تَتَّقُ ونَ
'Inn ī Lakum Ra sū lun 'Amī nun
"Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:162)
إِنِّ ي لَكُمْ رَ سُو لٌ أَمِينٌ
Fā ttaq ū A ll aha Wa 'Aţ ī`ū ni
"So fear Allāh, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:163)
فَاتَّقُ وا ا للَّ هَ وَأَطِ يعُونِ
Wa Mā 'As'alukum `Alay hi Min 'Aj r in ۖ 'In 'Aj r iya 'Illā `Alá Ra bbi A l-`Ālamī na
"No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islāmic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamīn (mankind, jinns and all that exists). (Ash-Shu'ara 26:164)
وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْ هِ مِن ْ أَجْ رٍ ۖ إِن ْ أَجْ ر ِيَ إِلاَّ عَلَى رَ بِّ ا لْعَالَمِينَ
'Ata'tū na A dh -Dh ukr ā na Mina A l-`Ālamī na
"Go you in unto the males of the 'Alamīn (mankind), (Ash-Shu'ara 26:165)
أَتَأْتُو نَ ا ل ذُّكْرَ ا نَ مِنَ ا لْعَالَمِينَ
Wa Tadh arū na Mā Kh alaq a Lakum Ra bbukum Min 'Azwājikum ۚ Bal 'An tum Q aw mun `Ādū na
"And leave those whom Allāh has created for you to be your wives? Nay, you are a trespassing people!" (Ash-Shu'ara 26:166)
وَتَذَرُو نَ مَا خَ لَقَ لَكُمْ رَ بُّكُمْ مِن ْ أَزْوَاجِكُمْ ۚ بَلْ أَنْ تُمْ قَ وْ مٌ عَادُونَ
Q ālū La'in Lam Tan tahi Yā Lū ţ u Latakūnann a Mina A l-Mukh ra jī na
They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" (Ash-Shu'ara 26:167)
قَ الُوا لَئِن ْ لَمْ تَنْ تَهِ يَا لُو طُ لَتَكُونَنّ َ مِنَ ا لْمُخْ رَ جِينَ
Q ā la 'Inn ī Li`amalikum Mina A l-Q ālī na
He said: "I am, indeed, of those who disapprove with severe anger and fury your (this evil) action (of sodomy). (Ash-Shu'ara 26:168)
قَ ا لَ إِنِّ ي لِعَمَلِكُمْ مِنَ ا لْقَ الِينَ
Ra bbi Najjinī Wa 'Ahlī Mimm ā Ya`malū na
"My Lord! Save me and my family from what they do." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:169)
رَ بِّ نَجِّنِي وَأَهْلِي مِمَّ ا يَعْمَلُونَ
Fanajjaynā hu Wa 'Ahlahu~ 'Aj ma`ī na
So We saved him and his family, all, (Ash-Shu'ara 26:170)
فَنَجَّيْنَا هُ وَأَهْلَهُ~ ُ أَجْ مَعِينَ
'Illā `Ajūzāan Fī A l-Gh ābir ī na
Except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:171)
إِلاَّ عَجُوزا ً فِي ا لْغَ ابِر ِينَ
Th umm a Damm arnā A l-'Ākh ar ī na
Then afterward We destroyed the others. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:172)
ثُمّ َ دَمَّ رْنَا ا لآخَ ر ِينَ
Wa 'Am ţ arnā `Alayhim Maţ arā an ۖ Fasā 'a Maţ aru A l-Mun dh ar ī na
And We rained on them a rain (of torment). And how evil was the rain of those who had been warned. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:173)
وَأَمْطَ رْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَطَ را ً ۖ فَسَا ءَ مَطَ رُ ا لْمُن ذَر ِينَ
'Inn a Fī Dh ālika La'ā yatan ۖ Wa Mā Kā na 'Akth aru hum Mu'uminī na
Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:174)
إِنّ َ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً ۖ وَمَا كَا نَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa 'Inn a Ra bbaka Lahuwa A l-`Azī zu A r-Ra ĥī mu
And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:175)
وَإِنّ َ رَ بَّكَ لَهُوَ ا لْعَزِي زُ ا ل رَّ حِيمُ
Kadh dh aba 'Aş ĥā bu A l-'Aykati A l-Mursalī na
The dwellers of Al-Aiyka [near Madyan (Midian)] belied the Messengers. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:176)
كَذَّبَ أَصْ حَا بُ ا لأَيْكَةِ ا لْمُرْسَلِينَ
'Idh Q ā la Lahum Sh u`ay bun 'Alā Tattaq ū na
When Shu'āib (Shuaib) said to them: "Will you not fear Allāh (and obey Him)? (Ash-Shu'ara 26:177)
إِذْ قَ ا لَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْ بٌ أَلاَ تَتَّقُ ونَ
'Inn ī Lakum Ra sū lun 'Amī nun
"I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:178)
إِنِّ ي لَكُمْ رَ سُو لٌ أَمِينٌ
Fā ttaq ū A ll aha Wa 'Aţ ī`ū ni
"So fear Allāh, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:179)
فَاتَّقُ وا ا للَّ هَ وَأَطِ يعُونِ
Wa Mā 'As'alukum `Alay hi Min 'Aj r in ۖ 'In 'Aj r iya 'Illā `Alá Ra bbi A l-`Ālamī na
"No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islāmic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamīn (mankind, jinns and all that exists). (Ash-Shu'ara 26:180)
وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْ هِ مِن ْ أَجْ رٍ ۖ إِن ْ أَجْ ر ِيَ إِلاَّ عَلَى رَ بِّ ا لْعَالَمِينَ
'Awfū A l-Kay la Wa Lā Takūnū Mina A l-Mukh sir ī na
"Give full measure, and cause no loss (to others). (Ash-Shu'ara 26:181)
أَوْفُوا ا لْكَيْ لَ وَلاَ تَكُونُوا مِنَ ا لْمُخْ سِر ِينَ
Wa Zinū Bil-Q isţ ā si A l-Mustaq ī mi
"And weigh with the true and straight balance. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:182)
وَزِنُوا بِا لْقِ سْطَ ا سِ ا لْمُسْتَقِ يمِ
Wa Lā Tab kh asū A n -Nā sa 'Ash yā 'ahum Wa Lā Ta`th aw Fī A l-'Arđi Mufsidī na
"And defraud not people by reducing their things, nor do evil, making corruption and mischief in the land. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:183)
وَلاَ تَبْ خَ سُوا ا ل نّ َا سَ أَشْيَا ءَهُمْ وَلاَ تَعْثَوْا فِي ا لأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ
Wa A ttaq ū A l-Ladh ī Kh alaq akum Wa A l-Jibillata A l-'Awwalī na
"And fear Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:184)
وَاتَّقُ وا ا لَّذِي خَ لَقَ كُمْ وَا لْجِبِلَّةَ ا لأَوَّلِينَ
Q ālū 'Inn amā 'An ta Mina A l-Musaĥĥar ī na
They said: "You are only one of those bewitched! (Ash-Shu'ara 26:185)
قَ الُو ا إِنَّ مَا أَنْ تَ مِنَ ا لْمُسَحَّر ِينَ
Wa Mā 'An ta 'Illā Bash aru n Mith lunā Wa 'In Nažunn uka Lamina A l-Kādh ibī na
"You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! (Ash-Shu'ara 26:186)
وَمَا أَنْ تَ إِلاَّ بَشَرٌ مِثْلُنَا وَإِن ْ نَظُ نُّ كَ لَمِنَ ا لْكَاذِبِينَ
Fa'asq iţ `Alaynā Kisafāan Mina A s-Samā 'i 'In Kun ta Mina A ş -Ş ādiq ī na
"So cause a piece of the heaven to fall on us, if you are of the truthful!" (Ash-Shu'ara 26:187)
فَأَسْقِ ط ْ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفا ً مِنَ ا ل سَّمَا ءِ إِن ْ كُنْ تَ مِنَ ا ل صَّ ادِقِ ينَ
Q ā la Ra bbī 'A`lamu Bimā Ta`malū na
He said: "My Lord is the Best Knower of what you do." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:188)
قَ ا لَ رَ بِّي أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
Fakadh dh abū hu Fa'akh adh ahum `Adh ā bu Yaw mi A ž-Ž ullati ۚ 'Inn ahu Kā na `Adh ā ba Yaw min `Ažī min
But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them, indeed that was the torment of a Great Day. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:189)
فَكَذَّبُو هُ فَأَخَ ذَهُمْ عَذَا بُ يَوْ مِ ا ل ظُّ لَّةِ ۚ إِنَّ هُ كَا نَ عَذَا بَ يَوْ مٍ عَظِ يمٍ
'Inn a Fī Dh ālika La'ā yatan ۖ Wa Mā Kā na 'Akth aru hum Mu'uminī na
Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:190)
إِنّ َ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً ۖ وَمَا كَا نَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa 'Inn a Ra bbaka Lahuwa A l-`Azī zu A r-Ra ĥī mu
And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:191)
وَإِنّ َ رَ بَّكَ لَهُوَ ا لْعَزِي زُ ا ل رَّ حِيمُ
Wa 'Inn ahu Latan zī lu Ra bbi A l-`Ālamī na
And truly, this (the Qur'ān) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamīn (mankind, jinns and all that exists), (Ash-Shu'ara 26:192)
وَإِنَّ هُ لَتَنْ زِي لُ رَ بِّ ا لْعَالَمِينَ
Nazala Bihi A r-Rū ĥu A l-'Amī nu
Which the trustworthy Rûh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought down; (Ash-Shu'ara 26:193)
نَزَلَ بِهِ ا ل رُّو حُ ا لأَمِينُ
`Alá Q albika Litakū na Mina A l-Mun dh ir ī na
Upon your heart (O Muhammad SAW) that you may be (one) of the warners, (Ash-Shu'ara 26:194)
عَلَى قَ لْبِكَ لِتَكُو نَ مِنَ ا لْمُن ذِر ِينَ
Bilisā nin `Ara bī yin Mubī nin
In the plain Arabic language. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:195)
بِلِسَا نٍ عَرَ بِيٍّ مُبِينٍ
Wa 'Inn ahu Lafī Zubur i A l-'Awwalī na
And verily, it (the Qur'ān, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurāt (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:196)
وَإِنَّ هُ لَفِي زُبُر ِ ا لأَوَّلِينَ
'Awalam Yakun Lahum 'Āyatan 'An Ya`lamahu `Ulamā 'u Banī 'Isrā 'ī la
Is it not a sign to them that the learned scholars (like 'Abdullāh bin Salām who embraced Islām) of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? (Ash-Shu'ara 26:197)
أَوَلَمْ يَكُن ْ لَهُمْ آيَةً أَن ْ يَعْلَمَهُ عُلَمَا ءُ بَنِي إِسْرَا ئِ يلَ
Wa Law Nazzalnā hu `Alá Ba`đi A l-'A`jamī na
And if We had revealed it (this Qur'ān) unto any of the non-Arabs, (Ash-Shu'ara 26:198)
وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَا هُ عَلَى بَعْضِ ا لأَعْجَمِينَ
Faq ara 'ahu `Alayhim Mā Kānū Bihi Mu'uminī na
And he had recited it unto them, they would not have believed in it. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:199)
فَقَ رَ أَهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ مُؤْمِنِينَ
Kadh ālika Salaknā hu Fī Q ulū bi A l-Muj r imī na
Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Qur'ān) to enter the hearts of the Mûjrimûn (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). (Ash-Shu'ara 26:200)
كَذَلِكَ سَلَكْنَا هُ فِي قُ لُو بِ ا لْمُجْ ر ِمِينَ
Lā Yu'uminū na Bihi Ĥattá Yara w A l-`Adh ā ba A l-'Alī ma
They will not believe in it until they see the painful torment; (Ash-Shu'ara 26:201)
لاَ يُؤْمِنُو نَ بِهِ حَتَّى يَرَ وْا ا لْعَذَا بَ ا لأَلِيمَ
Faya'tiyahum Bagh tatan Wa Hum Lā Yash `urū na
It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; (Ash-Shu'ara 26:202)
فَيَأْتِيَهُمْ بَغْ تَة ً وَهُمْ لاَ يَشْعُرُونَ
Fayaq ūlū Hal Naĥnu Mun žarū na
Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" (Ash-Shu'ara 26:203)
فَيَقُ ولُوا هَلْ نَحْنُ مُن ظَ رُونَ
'Afabi`adh ābinā Yasta`jilū na
Would they then wish for Our Torment to be hastened on? (Ash-Shu'ara 26:204)
أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
'Afara 'ay ta 'In Matta`nāhum Sinī na
Tell Me, if We do let them enjoy for years, (Ash-Shu'ara 26:205)
أَفَرَ أَيْ تَ إِن ْ مَتَّعْنَاهُمْ سِنِينَ
Th umm a Jā 'ahum Mā Kānū Yū`adū na
And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised! (Ash-Shu'ara 26:206)
ثُمّ َ جَا ءَهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يُوعَدُونَ
Mā 'Agh ná `Anhum Mā Kānū Yumatta`ū na
All that with which they used to enjoy shall not avail them. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:207)
مَا أَغْ نَى عَنْ هُمْ مَا كَانُوا يُمَتَّعُونَ
Wa Mā 'Ahlaknā Min Q aryatin 'Illā Lahā Mun dh irū na
And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners (Ash-Shu'ara 26:208)
وَمَا أَهْلَكْنَا مِن ْ قَ رْيَةٍ إِلاَّ لَهَا مُن ذِرُونَ
Dh ikrá Wa Mā Kunn ā Ž ālimī na
By way of reminder, and We have never been unjust. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:209)
ذِكْرَ ى وَمَا كُنَّ ا ظَ الِمِينَ
Wa Mā Tanazzalat Bihi A sh -Sh ayāţ ī nu
And it is not the Shayātin (devils) who have brought it (this Qur'ān) down, (Ash-Shu'ara 26:210)
وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ ا ل شَّيَاطِ ينُ
Wa Mā Yan bagh ī Lahum Wa Mā Yastaţ ī`ū na
Neither would it suit them, nor they can (produce it). (Ash-Shu'ara 26:211)
وَمَا يَنْ بَغِ ي لَهُمْ وَمَا يَسْتَطِ يعُونَ
'Inn ahum `Ani A s-Sam `i Lama`zūlū na
Verily, they have been removed far from hearing it. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:212)
إِنَّ هُمْ عَنِ ا ل سَّمْعِ لَمَعْزُولُونَ
Falā Tad `u Ma`a A ll āhi 'Ilahāan 'Ākh ara Fatakū na Mina A l-Mu`adh dh abī na
So invoke not with Allāh another ilāh (god) lest you be among those who receive punishment. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:213)
فَلاَ تَد ْعُ مَعَ ا للَّ هِ إِلَها ً آخَ رَ فَتَكُو نَ مِنَ ا لْمُعَذَّبِينَ
Wa 'An dh ir `Ash īra taka A l-'Aq ra bī na
And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:214)
وَأَن ذِر ْ عَشِيرَ تَكَ ا لأَقْ رَ بِينَ
Wa A kh fiđ Janāĥaka Limani A ttaba`aka Mina A l-Mu'uminī na
And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:215)
وَاخْ فِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ ا تَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ا لْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Fa'in `Aş aw ka Faq ul 'Inn ī Bar ī 'un Mimm ā Ta`malū na
Then if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." (Ash-Shu'ara 26:216)
فَإِن ْ عَصَ وْ كَ فَقُ لْ إِنِّ ي بَر ِي ءٌ مِمَّ ا تَعْمَلُونَ
Wa Tawakkal `Alá A l-`Azī zi A r-Ra ĥī mi
And put your trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful, (Ash-Shu'ara 26:217)
وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ا لْعَزِي زِ ا ل رَّ حِيمِ
Al-Ladh ī Yar ā ka Ĥī na Taq ū mu
Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). (Ash-Shu'ara 26:218)
ا لَّذِي يَرَ ا كَ حِي نَ تَقُ ومُ
Wa Taq allubaka Fī A s-Sājidī na
And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allāh in the five compulsory congregational prayers). (Ash-Shu'ara 26:219)
وَتَقَ لُّبَكَ فِي ا ل سَّاجِدِينَ
'Inn ahu Huwa A s-Samī `u A l-`Alī mu
Verily! He, only He, is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:220)
إِنَّ هُ هُوَ ا ل سَّمِي عُ ا لْعَلِيمُ
Hal 'Unabbi'ukum `Alá Man Tanazzalu A sh -Sh ayāţ ī nu
Shall I inform you (O people!) upon whom the Shayātin (devils) descend? (Ash-Shu'ara 26:221)
هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ عَلَى مَن ْ تَنَزَّلُ ا ل شَّيَاطِ ينُ
Tanazzalu `Alá Kulli 'Affā kin 'Ath ī min
They descend on every lying (one who tells lies), sinful person. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:222)
تَنَزَّلُ عَلَى كُلِّ أَفَّا كٍ أَثِيمٍ
Yulq ū na A s-Sam `a Wa 'Akth aru hum Kādh ibū na
Who gives ear (to the devils and they pour what they may have heard of the unseen from the angels), and most of them are liars. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:223)
يُلْقُ و نَ ا ل سَّمْعَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ كَاذِبُونَ
Wa A sh -Sh u`arā 'u Yattabi`uhumu A l-Gh āwū na
As for the poets, the erring follow them, (Ash-Shu'ara 26:224)
وَالشُّعَرَا ءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ ا لْغَ اوُونَ
'Alam Tará 'Ann ahum Fī Kulli Wā din Yahīmū na
See you not that they speak about every subject (praising others right or wrong) in their poetry? (Ash-Shu'ara 26:225)
أَلَمْ تَرَ ى أَنَّ هُمْ فِي كُلِّ وَا دٍ يَهِيمُونَ
Wa 'Ann ahum Yaq ūlū na Mā Lā Yaf`alū na
And that they say what they do not do. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:226)
وَأَنَّ هُمْ يَقُ ولُو نَ مَا لاَ يَفْعَلُونَ
'Illā A l-Ladh ī na 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū A ş -Ş āliĥā ti Wa Dh akarū A ll aha Kath īr āan Wa A n taş arū Min Ba`di Mā Ž ulimū ۗ Wa Saya`lamu A l-Ladh ī na Ž alamū 'Ay ya Mun q alabin Yan q alibū na
Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allāh Islāmic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allāh much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:227)
إِلاَّ ا لَّذِي نَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا ا ل صَّ الِحَا تِ وَذَكَرُوا ا للَّ هَ كَثِير ا ً وَا ن تَصَ رُوا مِن ْ بَعْدِ مَا ظُ لِمُوا ۗ وَسَيَعْلَمُ ا لَّذِي نَ ظَ لَمُو ا أَيَّ مُن قَ لَبٍ يَن قَ لِبُونَ
