'Alhākumu A t-Takāth uru O mankind, you have been distracted by the rivalry of piling up worldly gains against one another.[102.1] أَلْهَاكُمُ ا ل تَّكَاثُرُ
Ĥattá Zurtumu A l-Maqābir a You will never be satisfied until you get into the grave.[102.2] حَتَّى زُرْتُمُ ا لْمَقَابِر َ
Kallā Sawfa Ta`lamū na Nevertheless, soon you shall come to know.[102.3] كَلاَّ سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُو نَ
Th umm a Kallā Sawfa Ta`lamū na Again, nevertheless, soon you shall come to know.[102.4] ثُمّ َ كَلاَّ سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُو نَ
Kallā Law Ta`lamū na `Ilma A l-Yaqī ni Nay! Would that you knew through the real knowledge provided to you in this Qur’an and care about your life in the Hereafter.[102.5] كَلاَّ لَوْ تَعْلَمُو نَ عِلْمَ ا لْيَقِي نِ
Latarawunn a A l-Jaĥī ma Because on the Day of Judgment when you shall see the hell,[102.6] لَتَرَوُنّ َ ا لْجَحِي مَ
Th umm a Latarawunn ahā `Ayna A l-Yaqī ni and see it with the certainty of your own eyes[102.7] ثُمّ َ لَتَرَوُنَّ هَا عَيْنَ ا لْيَقِي نِ
Th umm a Latus'alunn a Yawma'idh in `Ani A n -Na`ī mi - you shall believe it, but that belief is going to do you no good because - on that Day, you shall be questioned about the blessings (faculties and resources that you were given in the worldly life - as to how you used them?)[102.8] ثُمّ َ لَتُسْأَلُنّ َ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ ا ل نَّ عِي مِ
