| Hal 'Atāka Ĥadīthu Al-Ghāshiyahi    | Has the news of the over shadowing event of resurrection reached you?[88.1] | هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ | 
   | Wujūhun Yawma'idhin Khāshi`ahun    | On that Day some faces shall be downcast,[88.2] | وُجُوه ٌٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَاشِعَةٌ | 
   | `Āmilatun Nāşibahun    | in hard labor, worn out,[88.3] | عَامِلَةٌ نَاصِبَةٌ | 
   | Taşlá Nārāan Ĥāmiyahan    | scorching in the blazing fire,[88.4] | تَصْلَى نَاراً حَامِيَةً | 
   | Tusqá Min `Aynin 'Āniyahin    | given to drink from a boiling fountain.[88.5] | تُسْقَى مِنْ عَيْنٍ آنِيَةٍ | 
   | Laysa Lahum Ţa`āmun 'Illā Min Đarī`in    | They shall have no food except bitter thorny fruit,[88.6] | لَيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ إِلاَّ مِنْ ضَرِيعٍ | 
   | Lā Yusminu Wa Lā Yughnī Min Jū`in    | which will neither provide nourishment nor satisfy hunger.[88.7] | لاَ يُسْمِنُ وَلاَ يُغْنِي مِنْ جُوعٍ | 
   | Wujūhun Yawma'idhin Nā`imahun    | While some faces on that Day shall be radiant,[88.8] | وُجُوه ٌٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاعِمَةٌ | 
   | Lisa`yihā Rāđiyahun    | well pleased with their endeavors,[88.9] | لِسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌ | 
   | Fī Jannatin `Āliyahin    | in a lofty garden.[88.10] | فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ | 
   | Lā Tasma`u Fīhā Lāghiyahan    | Therein they shall hear no loose talk.[88.11] | لاَ تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لاَغِيَةً | 
   | Fīhā `Aynun Jāriyahun    | Therein they shall have running springs.[88.12] | فِيهَا عَيْنٌ جَارِيَةٌ | 
   | Fīhā Sururun Marfū`ahun    | Therein they shall be reclining on raised soft couches,[88.13] | فِيهَا سُرُرٌ مَرْفُوعَةٌ | 
   |  Wa 'Akwābun Mawđū`ahun    | with goblets placed before them;[88.14] | وَأَكْوَابٌ مَوْضُوعَةٌ | 
   |  Wa Namāriqu Maşfūfahun    | silky cushions ranged in order[88.15] | وَنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَةٌ | 
   |  Wa Zarābīyu Mabthūthahun    | and fine carpets richly spread.[88.16] | وَزَرَابِيُّ مَبْثُوثَةٌ | 
   | 'Afalā Yanžurūna 'Ilá Al-'Ibili Kayfa Khuliqat    | Do they not look at the camels, how they were created?[88.17] | أَفَلاَ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَى الإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ | 
   |  Wa 'Ilá As-Samā'i Kayfa Rufi`at    | The heaven, how it was raised high?[88.18] | وَإِلَى السَّمَاءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ | 
   |  Wa 'Ilá Al-Jibāli Kayfa Nuşibat    | The mountains, how they were firmly set?[88.19] | وَإِلَى الْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ | 
   |  Wa 'Ilá Al-'Arđi Kayfa Suţiĥat    | And the earth, how it is spread out?[88.20] | وَإِلَى الأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ | 
   | Fadhakkir 'Innamā 'Anta Mudhakkirun    | So keep on giving admonition, for you are an admonisher[88.21] | فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مُذَكِّرٌ | 
   | Lasta `Alayhim Bimusayţirin    | not a taskmaster over them.[88.22] | لَسْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِمُسَيْطِرٍ | 
   | 'Illā Man Tawallá Wa Kafara    | As for those who turn their backs and disbelieve,[88.23] | إِلاَّ مَنْ تَوَلَّى وَكَفَرَ | 
   | Fayu`adhdhibuhu Al-Lahu Al-`Adhāba Al-'Akbara    | Allah will punish them with the mighty punishment.[88.24] | فَيُعَذِّبُهُ اللَّهُ الْعَذَابَ الأَكْبَرَ | 
   | 'Inna 'Ilaynā 'Īābahum    | Surely to Us is their return,[88.25] | إِنَّ إِلَيْنَا إِيَابَهُمْ | 
   | Thumma 'Inna `Alaynā Ĥisābahum    | then surely it is for Us to take their account.[88.26] | ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُمْ |
