Wa As-Samā'i Wa Aţ-Ţāriqi | By the heaven and by the visitant by night,[86.1] |
Wa Mā 'Adrāka Mā Aţ-Ţāriqu | and what will explain to you what the visitant by night is?[86.2] | وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الطَّارِقُ |
An-Najmu Ath-Thāqibu | It is the star of piercing brightness.[86.3] |
'In Kullu Nafsin Lammā `Alayhā Ĥāfižun | (Just as Allah Almighty is taking care of each star in the galaxies, similarly) over each soul there is an appointed guardian angel.[86.4] | إِنْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ لَمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌ |
Falyanžuri Al-'Insānu Mimma Khuliqa | Let man consider from what he is created![86.5] |
Khuliqa Min Mā'in Dāfiqin | He is created from an emitted fluid[86.6] |
Yakhruju Min Bayni Aş-Şulbi Wa At-Tarā'ibi | that is produced from between the loins and the ribs.[86.7] |
'Innahu `Alá Raj`ihi Laqādirun | Surely He, the Creator, has the power to bring him back to life,[86.8] | إِنَّهُُعَلَى رَجْعِهِِ لَقَادِرٌ |
Yawma Tublá As-Sarā'iru | on the Day when the hidden secrets will be brought to scrutiny,[86.9] |
Famā Lahu Min Qūwatin Wa Lā Nāşirin | then he will have neither power of his own nor any helper to save him from the punishment of Allah.[86.10] |
Wa As-Samā'i Dhāti Ar-Raj`i | By the sky (having rain clouds) which sends down rain[86.11] |
Wa Al-'Arđi Dhāti Aş-Şad`i | and by the earth which is ever bursting with new growth;[86.12] |
'Innahu Laqawlun Faşlun | surely this Qur’an is a decisive word,[86.13] |
Wa Mā Huwa Bil-Hazli | and it is no joke.[86.14] |
'Innahum Yakīdūna Kaydāan | These unbelievers of Makkah are plotting a scheme:[86.15] |
Wa 'Akīdu Kaydāan | and I, too, am plotting a scheme.[86.16] |
Famahhili Al-Kāfirīna 'Amhilhum Ruwaydāan | Therefore, leave the unbelievers alone. Leave them alone for a while.[86.17] | فَمَهِّلِ الْكَافِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْداً |
