84)

'Idhā As-Samā'u Anshaqqat When heaven will split asunder,[84.1]
Wa 'Adhinat Lirabbihā Wa Ĥuqqat obeying it Rabbs command as it ought to.[84.2]
Wa 'Idhā Al-'Arđu Muddat When the earth will spread out[84.3]
Wa 'Alqat Mā Fīhā Wa Takhallat and cast out all that is within it and becomes empty,[84.4]
Wa 'Adhinat Lirabbihā Wa Ĥuqqat obeying it Rabbs command as it ought to.[84.5]
Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-'Insānu 'Innaka Kādiĥun 'Ilá Rabbika Kadĥāan Famulāqīhi That will be the Day of your accountability, O mankind! Surely you must strive towards your Rabb, a hard striving, then you shall meet Him.[84.6]
Fa'ammā Man 'Ūtiya Kitābahu Biyamīnihi Then he who will be given his Book of deeds in his right hand,[84.7]
Fasawfa Yuĥāsabu Ĥisābāan Yasīrāan shall have a quick and easy reckoning[84.8]
Wa Yanqalibu 'Ilá 'Ahlihi Masrūrāan and shall return to his people rejoicing.[84.9]
Wa 'Ammā Man 'Ūtiya Kitābahu Warā'a Žahrihi But he who will be given his book of deeds from behind his back,[84.10]
Fasawfa YadThubūrāan shall soon be calling for death,[84.11]
Wa Yaşlá Sa`īrāan and shall be made to enter a blazing fire;[84.12]
'Innahu Kāna Fī 'Ahlihi Masrūrāan for he used to live happily with his kinfolks[84.13]
'Innahu Žanna 'An Lan Yaĥūra and thought that he would never return to Allah for accountability.[84.14]
Balá 'Inna Rabbahu Kāna Bihi Başīrāan Yet, surely his Rabb was ever watching over his misdeeds.[84.15]
Falā 'Uqsimu Bish-Shafaqi I swear by the glow of sunset;[84.16]
Wa Al-Layli Wa Mā Wasaqa by the night and all that it gathers together;[84.17]
Wa Al-Qamari 'Idhā Attasaqa by the moon, when she grows full:[84.18]
Latarkabunna Ţabaqāan `An Ţabaqin that you shall gradually pass from one stage to another.[84.19]
Famā Lahum Lā Yu'uminūna What is the matter with the people that they do not believe,[84.20]
Wa 'Idhā Quri'a `Alayhimu Al-Qur'ānu Lā Yasjudūna and when the Quran is recited to them, they do not prostrate?[84.21]
Bali Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Yukadhdhibūna Nay! The unbelievers will deny;[84.22]
Wa Allāhu 'A`lamu Bimā Yū`ūna and Allah knows what they are hiding in their hearts.[84.23]
Fabashshirhum Bi`adhābin 'Alīmin Therefore, proclaim to them a painful punishment,[84.24]
'Illā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Lahum 'Ajrun Ghayru Mamnūnin except those who embrace the true faith and do good deeds; for them there will be a never ending reward.[84.25]
