Ar-Raĥmānu The Compassionate (Allah).[55.1]
`Allama Al-Qur'āna Who taught the Quran,[55.2]
Khalaqa Al-'Insāna created man[55.3]
`Allamahu Al-Bayāna and taught him how to convey his feelings and thoughts.[55.4]
Ash-Shamsu Wa Al-Qamaru Biĥusbānin The sun and the moon move along their computed courses.[55.5]
Wa An-Najmu Wa Ash-Shajaru Yasjudāni The shrubs and the trees prostrate in adoration.[55.6]
Wa As-Samā'a Rafa`ahā Wa Wađa`a Al-Mīzāna He has raised the heaven on high and created the balance:[55.7]
'Allā Taţghaw Fī Al-Mīzāni dont ever tamper with this balance.[55.8]
Wa 'Aqīmū Al-Wazna Bil-Qisţi Wa Lā Tukhsirū Al-Mīzāna Therefore, you also establish weight with justice and do not give less measure.[55.9]
Wa Al-'Arđa Wađa`ahā Lil'anāmi He laid out the earth for His creatures,[55.10]
Fīhā Fākihatun Wa An-Nakhlu Dhātu Al-'Akmāmi with all its fruits and palms having sheathed clusters,[55.11]
Wa Al-Ĥabbu Dhū Al-`Aşfi Wa Ar-Rayĥānu and grain with husk and scented herbs.[55.12]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni So, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.13]
Khalaqa Al-'Insāna Min Şalşālin Kālfakhkhāri He created man from sounding clay similar to pottery,[55.14]
Wa Khalaqa Al-Jānna Minrijin Min Nārin and created jinns from smokeless fire.[55.15]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni So, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.16]
Rabbu Al-Mashriqayni Wa Rabbu Al-Maghribayni He is Rabb of the two easts and the Rabb of the two wests.[55.17]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni So, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.18]
Maraja Al-Baĥrayni Yaltaqiyāni He has made the two oceans apparently meeting together,[55.19]
Baynahumā Barzakhun Lā Yabghiyāni yet between them is a barrier which they cannot cross.[55.20]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni So, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.21]
Yakhruju Minhumā Al-Lu'ulu'uu Wa Al-Marjānu He produces pearls and coral from both of them.[55.22]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni So, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.23]
Wa Lahu Al-Jawāri Al-Munsha'ātu Fī Al-Baĥri Kāl'a`lāmi His are the ships looming up like mountains on the sea.[55.24]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni So, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.25]
Kullu Man `Alayhā Fānin All that exists on the earth will perish,[55.26]
Wa Yabqá Wajhu Rabbika Dhū Al-Jalāli Wa Al-'Ikrāmi but the Face of your Rabb will remain full of Majesty and Glory.[55.27]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni Then, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs glories will both of you deny?[55.28]
Yas'aluhu Man As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Kulla Yawmin Huwa Fī Sha'nin All who dwell in the heavens and the earth, implore Him for their needs, every moment He is busy in some mighty task.[55.29]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni Then, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs honors will both of you deny?[55.30]
Sanafrughu Lakum 'Ayyuhā Ath-Thaqalāni O you, the two burdens (jinns and mankind)! Soon We shall find the time to call you to account.[55.31]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni Then, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.32]
Yā Ma`shara Al-Jinni Wa Al-'Insi 'Ini Astaţa`tum 'An Tanfudhū Min 'Aqţāri As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Fānfudhū Lā Tanfudhūna 'Illā Bisulţānin O you, the assembly of jinns and men! If you have the power to get away from the boundaries of the heavens and the earth (to escape from His punishment), then get away! You cannot get away except with Our Own authority.[55.33]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni Then, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs authorities will both of you deny?[55.34]
Yursalu `Alaykumā Shuwāžun Min Nārin Wa Nuĥāsun Falā Tantaşirāni The flames of fire and molten brass will be unleashed on you both, jinn and men, and you will not be able to defend yourselves.[55.35]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni Then, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.36]
Fa'idhā Anshaqqati As-Samā'u Fakānat Wardatan Kālddihāni When the heaven will burst and will become red like red hide.[55.37]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni Then, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.38]
Fayawma'idhin Lā Yus'alu `An Dhanbihi 'Insun Wa Lā Jānnun On that Day neither man nor jinn will need be asked about his sins.[55.39] ~
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni Then, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.40]
Yu`rafu Al-Mujrimūna Bisīmāhum Fayu'ukhadhu Bin-Nawāşī Wa Al-'Aqdāmi Because the sinners will be recognized by their faces and they shall be seized by their forelocks and their feet.[55.41]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni Then, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.42]
Hadhihi Jahannamu Allatī Yukadhdhibu Bihā Al-Mujrimūna It will be said to them: This is the hell which the culprits denied."[55.43]
Yaţūfūna Baynahā Wa Bayna Ĥamīmin 'Ānin They shall wander to and fro between fire and hot boiling water.[55.44]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni Then, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs warnings will both of you deny?[55.45]
Wa Liman Khāfa Maqāma Rabbihi Jannatāni For those who fear the time when they will have to stand before their Rabb there are two gardens.[55.46]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni Then, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.47]
Dhawātā 'Afnānin Having shady trees with lush green branches.[55.48]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni Then, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.49]
Fīhimā `Aynāni Tajriyāni Each of them will be watered by two flowing springs.[55.50]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni Then, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.51]
Fīhimā Min Kulli Fākihatin Zawjāni In both of them there will be two pairs of every fruit.[55.52]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni Then, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.53]
Muttaki'īna `Alá Furushin Baţā'inuhā Min 'Istabraqin Wa Janá Al-Jannatayni Dānin They will recline on couches upholstered with rich brocade while the fruit of the gardens will be within their easy reach.[55.54]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni Then, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.55]
Fīhinna Qāşirātu Aţ-Ţarfi Lam Yaţmithhunna 'Insun Qablahum Wa Lā Jānnun Therein will be bashful virgins, whom neither any man nor jinn has touched before.[55.56]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni Then, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.57]
Ka'annahunna Al-Yāqūtu Wa Al-Marjānu So beautiful as though they were rubies and corals.[55.58]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni Then, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.59]
Hal Jazā'u Al-'Iĥsāni 'Illā Al-'Iĥsānu Could the reward for goodness be anything but goodness?[55.60]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni Then, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.61]
Wa Min Dūnihimā Jannatāni And besides these two there shall be two other gardens.[55.62]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni Then, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.63]
Mud/hāmmatāni Densely shaded with dark green trees.[55.64]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni Then, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.65]
Fīhimā `Aynāni Nađđākhatāni In both of them there will be two gushing springs.[55.66]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni Then, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.67]
Fīhimā Fākihatun Wa Nakhlun Wa Rummānun Each planted with fruit trees, dates and pomegranates.[55.68]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni Then, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.69]
Fīhinna Khayrātun Ĥisānun In each of them, there will be chaste and beautiful virgins.[55.70]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni Then, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.71]
Ĥūrun Maqşūrātun Al-Khiyāmi Hris (beautiful damsels) sheltered in their tents.[55.72]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni Then, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.73]
Lam Yaţmithhunna 'Insun Qablahum Wa Lā Jānnun Whom neither man nor Jinn has ever touched before.[55.74]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni Then, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.75]
Muttaki'īna `Alá Rafrafin Khrin Wa `Abqarīyin Ĥisānin Reclining on green cushions and beautiful fine carpets.[55.76]
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni Then, O jinn and men, which of your Rabbs favors will both of you deny?[55.77]
Tabāraka Asmu Rabbika Dhī Al-Jalāli Wa Al-'Ikrāmi Blessed be the name of your Rabb, His Majesty and His Honor.[55.78]
