Qāf Wa Al-Qur'āni Al-Majīdi  | Qمf. By the Glorious Qur’an (O Muhammad you are the Rasool of Allah).[50.1] | قَاف وَالْقُرْآنِ الْمَجِيدِ |
Bal `Ajibū 'An Jā'ahum Mundhirun Minhum Faqāla Al-Kāfirūna Hādhā Shay'un `Ajībun  | But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves. So the unbelievers say: “This indeed is very strange[50.2] | بَلْ عَجِبُوا أَنْ جَاءَهُمْ مُنْذِر ٌ مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ الْكَافِرُونَ هَذَا شَيْءٌ عَجِيب ٌ |
'A'idhā Mitnā Wa Kunnā Turābāan Dhālika Raj`un Ba`īdun  | that after we are dead and have become dust we shall be raised to life again, such a return is far from reason."[50.3] | أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابا ً ذَلِكَ رَجْع ٌ بَعِيد ٌ |
Qad `Alimnā Mā Tanquşu Al-'Arđu Minhum Wa `Indanā Kitābun Ĥafīžun  | We know all that the earth consumes of their bodies, and We have a Book which keeps records of everything.[50.4] | قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا تَنْقُصُ الأَرْضُ مِنْهُمْ وَعِنْدَنَا كِتَابٌ حَفِيظ ٌ |
Bal Kadhdhabū Bil-Ĥaqqi Lammā Jā'ahum Fahum Fī 'Amrin Marījin  | Nay! But these people deny the truth when it comes to them, and they are confused.[50.5] | بَلْ كَذَّبُوا بِالْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ فَهُمْ فِي أَمْر ٍ مَرِيج ٍ |
'Afalam Yanžurū 'Ilá As-Samā'i Fawqahum Kayfa Banaynāhā Wa Zayyannāhā Wa Mā Lahā Min Furūjin  | Have they never looked at the sky above them, and marked how We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it?[50.6] | أَفَلَمْ يَنْظُرُوا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَاهَا وَزَيَّنَّاهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِنْ فُرُوج ٍ |
Wa Al-'Arđa Madadnāhā Wa 'Alqaynā Fīhā Rawāsiya Wa 'Anbatnā Fīhā Min Kulli Zawjin Bahījin  | And the earth, how We have spread it out and set upon it mountains and caused to grow in it every kind of beautiful vegetation.[50.7] | وَالأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَاهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ وَأَنْبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْج ٍ بَهِيج ٍ |
Tabşiratan Wa Dhikrá Likulli `Abdin Munībin  | All these things are eye-openers and a reminder for every servant returning to Allah.[50.8] | تَبْصِرَة ً وَذِكْرَى لِكُلِّ عَبْد ٍ مُنِيب ٍ |
Wa Nazzalnā Mina As-Samā'i Mā'an Mubārakāan Fa'anbatnā Bihi Jannātin Wa Ĥabba Al-Ĥaşīdi  | We send down blessed water from the sky with which We bring forth gardens and the harvest grain,[50.9] | وَنَزَّلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاء ً مُبَارَكا ً فَأَنْبَتْنَا بِه ِِ جَنَّات ٍ وَحَبَّ الْحَصِيدِ |
Wa An-Nakhla Bāsiqātin Lahā Ţal`un Nađīdun  | and tall palm trees laden with clusters of dates, piled one over another,[50.10] | وَالنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَات ٍ لَهَا طَلْع ٌ نَضِيد ٌ |
Rizqāan Lil`ibādi Wa 'Aĥyaynā Bihi Baldatan Maytāan Kadhālika Al-Khurūju  | a sustenance for the servants; thereby giving new life to dead land. That is how the resurrection will be of the dead from the earth.[50.11] | رِزْقا ً لِلْعِبَادِ وَأَحْيَيْنَا بِه ِِ بَلْدَة ً مَيْتا ً كَذَلِكَ الْخُرُوجُ |
Kadhdhabat Qablahum Qawmu Nūĥin Wa 'Aşĥābu Ar-Rassi Wa Thamūdu  | Before, the people of Nüh and the dwellers of Ar-Rass denied this truth and so did Thamüd,[50.12] | كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوح ٍ وَأَصْحَابُ الرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ |
Wa `Ādun Wa Fir`awnu Wa 'Ikhwānu Lūţin  | ‘Ad, Fir‘on (Pharaoh) and the brethren of Lüt,[50.13] | وَعَاد ٌ وَفِرْعَوْنُ وَإِخْوَانُ لُوط ٍ |
Wa 'Aşĥābu Al-'Aykati Wa Qawmu Tubba`in Kullun Kadhdhaba Ar-Rusula Faĥaqqa Wa`īdi  | the dwellers of the Al-Aiykah and the people of Tubba; all of them disbelieved their Rasools and thus brought down upon them My threatened scourge.[50.14] | وَأَصْحَابُ الأَيْكَةِ وَقَوْمُ تُبَّع ٍ كُلّ ٌ كَذَّبَ الرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ |
'Afa`ayīnā Bil-Khalqi Al-'Awwali Bal Hum Fī Labsin Min Khalqin Jadīdin  | Were We fatigued with the first creation that they are in doubt about a new creation?[50.15] | أَفَعَيِينَا بِالْخَلْقِ الأَوَّلِ بَلْ هُمْ فِي لَبْس ٍ مِنْ خَلْق ٍ جَدِيد ٍ |
Wa Laqad Khalaqnā Al-'Insāna Wa Na`lamu Mā Tuwaswisu Bihi Nafsuhu Wa Naĥnu 'Aqrabu 'Ilayhi Min Ĥabli Al-Warīdi  | We created man, We know the prompting of his soul, and We are closer to him than his jugular vein.[50.16] | وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الإِنسَانَ وَنَعْلَمُ مَا تُوَسْوِسُ بِه ِِ نَفْسُه ُُ وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ حَبْلِ الْوَرِيدِ |
'Idh Yatalaqqá Al-Mutalaqqiyāni `Ani Al-Yamīni Wa `Ani Ash-Shimāli Qa`īdun  | Besides this direct knowledge ,We have assigned to every one two scribes (guardian angels), the one seated on his right and the other on his left,[50.17] | إِذْ يَتَلَقَّى الْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ الْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ قَعِيد ٌ |
Mā Yalfižu Min Qawlin 'Illā Ladayhi Raqībun `Atīdun  | not a single word does he utter but there is a vigilant guardian ready to note it down.[50.18] | مَا يَلْفِظُ مِنْ قَوْل ٍ إِلاَّ لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيد ٌ |
Wa Jā'at Sakratu Al-Mawti Bil-Ĥaqqi Dhālika Mā Kunta Minhu Taĥīdu  | When the agony of death will bring the truth before his eyes, they will say: “This is what you were trying to escape!”[50.19] | وَجَاءَتْ سَكْرَةُ الْمَوْتِ بِالْحَقِّ ذَلِكَ مَا كُنْتَ مِنْهُ تَحِيدُ |
Wa Nufikha Fī Aş-Şūri Dhālika Yawmu Al-Wa`īdi  | And the Trumpet shall be blown; that will be the Day of which you were threatened![50.20] | وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ الْوَعِيدِ |
Wa Jā'at Kullu Nafsin Ma`ahā Sā'iqun Wa Shahīdun  | Each soul will come forth; with it there will be a an angel to drive and an angel to bear witness.[50.21] | وَجَاءَتْ كُلُّ نَفْس ٍ مَعَهَا سَائِق ٌ وَشَهِيد ٌ |
Laqad Kunta Fī Ghaflatin Min Hādhā Fakashafnā `Anka Ghiţā'aka Fabaşaruka Al-Yawma Ĥadīdun  | It will be said: “You were heedless of this, but now We have removed your veil, so your eyesight is sharp today!”[50.22] | لَقَدْ كُنْتَ فِي غَفْلَة ٍ مِنْ هَذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنْكَ غِطَاءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ الْيَوْمَ حَدِيد ٌ |
Wa Qāla Qarīnuhu Hādhā Mā Ladayya `Atīdun  | His companion will say: “Here is my testimony ready with me."[50.23] | وَقَالَ قَرِينُه ُُ هَذَا مَا لَدَيَّ عَتِيد ٌ |
'Alqiyā Fī Jahannama Kulla Kaffārin `Anīdin  | The sentence will be: “Throw into hell every stubborn disbeliever,[50.24] | أَلْقِيَا فِي جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيد ٍ |
Mannā`in Lilkhayri Mu`tadin Murībin  | every opponent of good, and every doubting transgressor[50.25] | مَنَّاع ٍ لِلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَد ٍ مُرِيب ٍ |
Al-Ladhī Ja`ala Ma`a Al-Lahi 'Ilahāan 'Ākhara Fa'alqiyāhu Fī Al-`Adhābi Ash-Shadīdi  | who set up other gods besides Allah. Throw him into severe punishment."[50.26] | الَّذِي جَعَلَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَها ً آخَرَ فَأَلْقِيَاه ُُ فِي الْعَذَابِ الشَّدِيدِ |
Qāla Qarīnuhu Rabbanā Mā 'Aţghaytuhu Wa Lakin Kāna Fī Đalālin Ba`īdin  | His companion will say: “Our Rabb! I did not mislead him. He himself had gone far astray."[50.27] | قَالَ قَرِينُه ُُ رَبَّنَا مَا أَطْغَيْتُه ُُ وَلَكِنْ كَانَ فِي ضَلاَل ٍ بَعِيد ٍ |
Qāla Lā Takhtaşimū Ladayya Wa Qad Qaddamtu 'Ilaykum Bil-Wa`īdi  | Allah will say: “Do not dispute with each other in My presence. I gave you warning beforehand.[50.28] | قَالَ لاَ تَخْتَصِمُوا لَدَيَّ وَقَدْ قَدَّمْتُ إِلَيْكُمْ بِالْوَعِيدِ |
Mā Yubaddalu Al-Qawlu Ladayya Wa Mā 'Anā Bižallāmin Lil`abīdi  | My words cannot be changed, nor am I unjust to My servants."[50.29] | مَا يُبَدَّلُ الْقَوْلُ لَدَيَّ وَمَا أَنَا بِظَلاَّم ٍ لِلْعَبِيدِ |
Yawma Naqūlu Lijahannama Hal Amtala'ti Wa Taqūlu Hal Min Mazīdin  | On that Day, We shall ask the hell: “Are you full?” And the hell will answer: “Are there any more?”[50.30] | يَوْمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلْ امْتَلَأْتِ وَتَقُولُ هَلْ مِنْ مَزِيد ٍ |
Wa 'Uzlifati Al-Jannatu Lilmuttaqīna Ghayra Ba`īdin  | Paradise shall be brought close to the righteous, which will no more be a distant thing,[50.31] | وَأُزْلِفَتِ الْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ غَيْرَ بَعِيد ٍ |
Hādhā Mā Tū`adūna Likulli 'Awwābin Ĥafīžin  | and it will be said: “Here is what you were promised. It is for every penitent faithful person,[50.32] | هَذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِيظ ٍ |
Man Khashiya Ar-Raĥmana Bil-Ghaybi Wa Jā'a Biqalbin Munībin  | who feared the Compassionate (Allah) without seeing Him and will come before Him with a devoted heart."[50.33] | مَنْ خَشِيَ الرَّحْمَنَ بِالْغَيْبِ وَجَاءَ بِقَلْب ٍ مُنِيب ٍ |
Adkhulūhā Bisalāmin Dhālika Yawmu Al-Khulūdi  | Allah will say: "Enter it in peace; this is the Day of Eternal Life!”[50.34] | ادْخُلُوهَا بِسَلاَم ٍ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ الْخُلُودِ |
Lahum Mā Yashā'ūna Fīhā Wa Ladaynā Mazīdun  | There they shall have all that they wish, and We shall have yet more to give.[50.35] | لَهُمْ مَا يَشَاءُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيْنَا مَزِيد ٌ |
Wa Kam 'Ahlaknā Qablahum Min Qarnin Hum 'Ashaddu Minhum Baţshāan Fanaqqabū Fī Al-Bilādi Hal Min Maĥīşin  | How many generations, far stronger in power, have We destroyed before them! They searched the entire land: but could they find any refuge?[50.36] | وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُمْ مِنْ قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُمْ بَطْشا ً فَنَقَّبُوا فِي الْبِلاَدِ هَلْ مِنْ مَحِيص ٍ |
'Inna Fī Dhālika Ladhikrá Liman Kāna Lahu Qalbun 'Aw 'Alqá As-Sam`a Wa Huwa Shahīdun  | Surely in this there is a lesson for every person who has a heart, and can hear and witness.[50.37] | إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَذِكْرَى لِمَنْ كَانَ لَه ُُ قَلْبٌ أَوْ أَلْقَى السَّمْعَ وَهُوَ شَهِيد ٌ |
Wa Laqad Khalaqnā As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Wa Mā Baynahumā Fī Sittati 'Ayyāmin Wa Mā Massanā Min Lughūbin  | We created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them in six periods, and no fatigue touched Us.[50.38] | وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّام ٍ وَمَا مَسَّنَا مِنْ لُغُوب ٍ |
Fāşbir `Alá Mā Yaqūlūna Wa Sabbiĥ Biĥamdi Rabbika Qabla Ţulū`i Ash-Shamsi Wa Qabla Al-Ghurūbi  | Therefore, O Prophet, bear with them in patience whatever they say, and keep on glorifying your Rabb before sunrise and before sunset.[50.39] | فَاصْبِرْ عَلَى مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ الْغُرُوبِ |
Wa Mina Al-Layli Fasabbiĥhu Wa 'Adbāra As-Sujūdi  | And glorify Him during a part of the night and after the prostration (prayers).[50.40] | وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَأَدْبَارَ السُّجُودِ |
Wa Astami` Yawma Yunādi Al-Munādi Min Makānin Qarībin  | And listen! The Day when the Caller will call out from a place quite near,[50.41] | وَاسْتَمِعْ يَوْمَ يُنَادِ الْمُنَادِ مِنْ مَكَان ٍ قَرِيب ٍ |
Yawma Yasma`ūna Aş-Şayĥata Bil-Ĥaqqi Dhālika Yawmu Al-Khurūji  | the Day when the people will hear the mighty blast in reality; that will be the Day of coming forth (the dead will rise from their graves).[50.42] | يَوْمَ يَسْمَعُونَ الصَّيْحَةَ بِالْحَقِّ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ الْخُرُوجِ |
'Innā Naĥnu Nuĥyī Wa Numītu Wa 'Ilaynā Al-Maşīru  | Surely it is We Who give life and death; and to Us shall all return,[50.43] | إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْيِي وَنُمِيتُ وَإِلَيْنَا الْمَصِيرُ |
Yawma Tashaqqaqu Al-'Arđu `Anhum Sirā`āan Dhālika Ĥashrun `Alaynā Yasīrun  | on that Day when the earth shall split asunder and the people shall be rushing out of it; that gathering them together shall be quite easy for Us.[50.44] | يَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ الأَرْضُ عَنْهُمْ سِرَاعا ً ذَلِكَ حَشْرٌ عَلَيْنَا يَسِير ٌ |
Naĥnu 'A`lamu Bimā Yaqūlūna Wa Mā 'Anta `Alayhim Bijabbārin Fadhakkir Bil-Qur'āni Man Yakhāfu Wa`īdi  | We know very well what these unbelievers say. You (O Muhammad) are not there to compel them to believe. So admonish with this Qur’an every such person who fears My warning.[50.45] | نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ وَمَا أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِجَبَّار ٍ فَذَكِّرْ بِالْقُرْآنِ مَنْ يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ |
