'Innā Ja`alnāhu Qur'ānāan `Arabīyāan La`allakum Ta`qilūna We have revealed this Quran in the Arabic language so that you may understand its meanings.[43.3]
Wa 'Innahu Fī 'Ummi Al-Kitābi Ladaynā La`alīyun Ĥakīmun Surely, it is a transcript of the Mother Book in Our keeping, which is sublime and full of wisdom.[43.4]
'Afanađribu `Ankumu Adh-Dhikra Şafĥāan 'An Kuntum Qawmāan Musrifīna Should We take this Reminder away from you and ignore you because you are a nation who has transgressed all limits?[43.5]
Wa Kam 'Arsalnā Min Nabīyin Al-'Awwalīna And how many Prophets have We sent among the ancient peoples?[43.6]
Wa Mā Ya'tīhim Min Nabīyin 'Illā Kānū Bihi Yastahzi'ūn Never did it happen that a Prophet came to his people and they did not mock at him.[43.7]
Fa'ahlaknā 'Ashadda Minhum Baţshāan Wa Mađá Mathalu Al-'Awwalīna So We destroyed them, though they were stronger in power than these people, and provided an example in the case of prior people.[43.8]
Wa La'in Sa'altahum Man Khalaqa As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Layaqūlunna Khalaqahunna Al-`Azīzu Al-`Alīmu If you ask them: Who has created the heavens and the earth? They will surely say: They have been created by the All-Mighty, the All-Knowledgeable.[43.9]
Al-Ladhī Ja`ala Lakumu Al-'Arđa Mahdāan Wa Ja`ala Lakum Fīhā Subulāan La`allakum Tahtadūna The One Who has made the earth a resting place for you and traced out routes upon it so that you may find your ways.[43.10]
Wa Al-Ladhī Nazzala Mina As-Samā'i Mā'an Biqadarin Fa'ansharnā Bihi Baldatan Maytāan Kadhālika Tukhrajūna The One Who sends down rain from the sky in due measure and thereby resurrects a dead land - thats how you shall be brought forth (raised to life again).[43.11]
Wa Al-Ladhī Khalaqa Al-'Azwāja Kullahā Wa Ja`ala Lakum Mina Al-Fulki Wa Al-'An`ām Mā Tarkabūna The One Who has created all living things in pairs and made for you the ships and cattle on which you ride[43.12]
Litastawū `Alá Žuhūrihi Thumma Tadhkurū Ni`mata Rabbikum 'Idhā Astawaytum `Alayhi Wa Taqūlū Subĥāna Al-Ladhī Sakhkhara Lanā Hādhā Wa Mā Kunnā Lahu Muqrinīna so that you may firmly sit on their backs, then as you mount, recall the goodness of your Rabb and say: Glory be to Him Who has subjected these to Our use, otherwise We could not have brought them under our control,[43.13]
Wa 'Innā 'Ilá Rabbinā Lamunqalibūna and to our Rabb we shall all return.[43.14]
Wa Ja`alū Lahu Min `Ibādihi Juz'āan 'Inna Al-'Insāna Lakafūrun Mubīnun Yet in spite of recognizing all this, they have made some of His servants to be a part of Him! Surely mankind is clearly ungrateful.[43.15]
'Am Attakhadha Mimmā Yakhluqu Banātin Wa 'Aşfākum Bil-Banīna Would Allah choose daughters (pagan Arabs believed that angels were the daughters of Allah) for Himself out of what He Himself creates and gives you sons?[43.16]
Wa 'Idhā Bushshira 'Aĥaduhum Bimā Đaraba Lilrraĥmani Mathalāan Žalla Wajhuhu Muswaddāan Wa Huwa Kažīmun Yet when a new born-girl - the gender that they ascribe to the Compassionate - is announced to one of them, his face darkens and he is filled with grief.[43.17]
'Awaman Yunashsha'u Fī Al-Ĥilyati Wa Huwa Fī Al-Khāmi Ghayru Mubīnin Do they ascribe to Allah, the female gender who is brought up among trinkets and is unable to make herself clear in disputation?[43.18]
Wa Ja`alū Al-Malā'ikata Al-Ladhīna Hum `Ibādu Ar-Raĥmāni 'Ināthāan 'Ashahidū Khalqahum Satuktabu Shahādatuhum Wa Yus'alūna They regard the angels, who are themselves servants of the Compassionate, as female divinities. Did they witness their creation? They should know that their testimony shall be noted down and they shall be called to account for it.[43.19]
Wa Qālū Law Shā'a Ar-Raĥmānu Mā `Abadnāhum Mā Lahum Bidhālika Min `Ilmin 'In Hum 'Illā Yakhruşūna They say: Had it been the will of the Compassionate, We should never have worshipped them." They have no knowledge about that; they are merely guessing.[43.20]
'Am 'Ātaynāhum Kitābāan Min Qablihi Fahum Bihi Mustamsikūna Or have We given them a Book before this to which they hold authority for their angel-worshipping?[43.21]
Bal Qālū 'Innā Wajadnā 'Ābā'anā `Alá 'Ummatin Wa 'Innā `Alá 'Āthārihim Muhtadūna The only argument they have is to say: We found our forefathers practicing this faith and we are walking in their footsteps."[43.22]
Wa Kadhalika Mā 'Arsalnā Min Qablika Fī Qaryatin Min Nadhīrin 'Illā Qāla Mutrafūhā 'Innā Wajadnā 'Ābā'anā `Alá 'Ummatin Wa 'Innā `Alá 'Āthārihim Muqtadūna Even so, whenever We sent a Warner before you to forewarn a nation, its affluent people said: We found our forefathers practicing this faith and surely we are going to follow their footsteps."[43.23]
Qāla 'Awalaw Ji'tukum Bi'ahdá Mimmā Wajadtum `Alayhi 'Ābā'akum Qālū 'Innā Bimā 'Ursiltum Bihi Kāfirūna Each Warner asked: What if I bring you better guidance than that which your forefathers practiced? But they replied: Well! We reject the faith with which you have been sent."[43.24]
ntaqamnā Minhumnžur Kayfa Kāna `Āqibatu Al-Mukadhdhibīna Consequently, We inflicted Our retribution on them; then see what was the end of those who disbelieved?[43.25]
Wa 'Idh Qāla 'Ibrāhīmu Li'abīhi Wa Qawmihi 'Innanī Barā'un Mimmā Ta`budūna Behold! Ibrhm said to his father and his people: I renounce the gods you worship,[43.26] ~
'Illā Al-Ladhī Faţaranī Fa'innahu Sayahdīni except Him Who created me, for He will surely guide me."[43.27]
Wa Ja`alahā Kalimatan Bāqiyatan Fī `Aqibihi La`allahum Yarji`ūna And he left this statement as an abiding precept among his descendants, so that they should turn to it.[43.28]
Bal Matta`tu Hā'uulā' Wa 'Ābā'ahum Ĥattá Jā'ahumu Al-Ĥaqqu Wa Rasūlun Mubīnun But they started worshipping others, and rather than punishing I kept on providing them and their forefathers the comfort of this life, until there came to them the truth and a Rasool to expound it clearly.[43.29]
Wa Lammā Jā'ahumu Al-Ĥaqqu Qālū Hādhā Siĥrun Wa 'Innā Bihi Kāfirūna But now when the truth has came to them, they say: This is magic and we do not believe it.[43.30]
Wa Qālū Lawlā Nuzzila Hādhā Al-Qur'ānu `Alá Rajulin Mina Al-Qaryatayni `Ažīmin They also say: Why is this Quran not revealed to a man of great importance in the two towns (Makkah and Ta'if)?[43.31]
'Ahum Yaqsimūna Raĥmata Rabbika Naĥnu Qasamnā Baynahum Ma`īshatahum Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa Rafa`nā Ba`đahum Fawqa Ba`đin Darajātin Liyattakhidha Ba`đuhum Ba`đāan Sukhrīyāan Wa Raĥmatu Rabbika Khayrun Mimmā Yajma`ūna Is it they who distribute the blessings of your Rabb? It is We Who distribute the means of their livelihood in the life of this world, raising some in rank above others, so that one may take others into his service. But the blessing of your Rabb is far greater in value than the wealth of this world which they amass.[43.32]
Wa Lawlā 'An Yakūna An-Nāsu 'Ummatan Wāĥidatan Laja`alnā Liman Yakfuru Bir-Raĥmani Libuyūtihim Suqufāan Min Fađđatin Wa Ma`ārija `Alayhā Yažharūna And were it not that all mankind might become one nation of unbelievers, We would have given those who disbelieve in the Compassionate (Allah), such houses whose roofs, stairways by which they go to upper chambers all made with silver,[43.33]
Wa Libuyūtihim 'Abwābāan Wa Sururāan `Alayhā Yattaki'ūna and also the doors of their houses and couches on which they recline,[43.34]
Wa Zukhrufāan Wa 'In Kullu Dhālika Lammā Matā`u Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa Al-'Ākhiratu `Inda Rabbika Lilmuttaqīna along with ornaments of gold - for all these are nothing but merely comforts of this worldly life. It is the life of the hereafter which your Rabb has reserved for the righteous.[43.35]
Wa Man Ya`shu `An Dhikri Ar-Raĥmāni Nuqayyiđ Lahu Shayţānāan Fahuwa Lahu Qarīnun He who turns away from the remembrance (Reminder) of the Compassionate (Allah), We assign a shaitn for him, who becomes his intimate companion.[43.36]
Wa 'Innahum Layaşuddūnahum `Ani As-Sabīli Wa Yaĥsabūna 'Annahum Muhtadūna - and turns such people away from the Right Path, while they think that they are guided aright.[43.37]
Ĥattá 'Idhā Jā'anā Qāla Yā Layta Baynī Wa Baynaka Bu`da Al-Mashriqayni Fabi'sa Al-Qarīnu - Ultimately, when that person will come to Us on the Day of Judgment, he will say to his shaitn companion: I wish that I was far apart from you as the east is from the west: you turned out to be an evil companion."[43.38]
Wa Lan Yanfa`akumu Al-Yawma 'Idh Žalamtum 'Annakum Al-`Adhābi Mushtarikūna Then it will be said to them: Well, you have already done wrong, realizing this fact today will avail you nothing, as you both are partners in the same punishment.[43.39]
'Afa'anta Tusmi`u Aş-Şumma 'Aw Tahdī Al-`Umya Wa Man Kāna Fī Đalālin Mubīnin O Prophet, can you make the deaf hear, or give direction to the blind or those who choose to remain in manifest error?[43.40]
Fa'immā Nadh/habanna Bika Fa'innā Minhum Muntaqimūna We shall surely inflict retribution on them, whether We take you away from this world,[43.41]
'Aw Nuriyannaka Al-Ladhī Wa`adnāhum Fa'innā `Alayhim Muqtadirūna or let you see their end, which We have promised them: surely We have full power over them.[43.42]
Fāstamsik Bial-Ladhī 'Ūĥiya 'Ilayka 'Innaka `Alá Şirāţin Mustaqīmin Therefore, hold fast to this Quran which is revealed to you, surely you are on the Right Way.[43.43]
Wa 'Innahu Ladhikrun Laka Wa Liqawmika Wa Sawfa Tus'alūna In fact this Quran is a reminder for you and your people; and you shall soon be questioned about it.[43.44]
Wa As'al Man 'Arsalnā Min Qablika Min Rusulinā 'Aja`alnā Min Dūni Ar-Raĥmāni 'Ālihatan Yu`badūna Ask those of Our Rasools whom We sent before you if We ever appointed other gods to be worshipped besides the Compassionate Allah?[43.45]
Wa Laqad 'Arsalnā Mūsá Bi'āyātinā 'Ilá Fir`awna Wa Mala'ihi Faqāla 'Innī Rasūlu Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna We sent Musa with Our signs to Firon and his chiefs. He said to them: I am a Rasool of the Rabb of the worlds.[43.46]
Falammā Jā'ahum Bi'āyātinā 'Idhā Hum Minhā Yađĥakūna When he showed them Our signs, they laughed at those signs.[43.47]
Wa Mā Nurīhim Min 'Āyatin 'Illā Hiya 'Akbaru Min 'Ukhtihā Wa 'Akhadhnāhum Bil-`Adhābi La`allahum Yarji`ūna Yet We showed them sign after sign each greater than the one preceding it and We afflicted them with the scourge, so that they might return to the Right Way.[43.48]
Wa Qālū Yā 'Ayyuhā As-Sāĥiru Ad`u Lanā Rabbaka Bimā `Ahida `Indaka 'Innanā Lamuhtadūn Each time they were seized by a scourge, they requested Musa: O magician! Pray to your Rabb for us by virtue of the covenant He has made with you; we shall surely accept your guidance."[43.49]

'Am 'Anā Khayrun Min Hādhā Al-Ladhī Huwa Mahīnun Wa Lā Yakādu Yubīnu Am I not better than this despicable wretch, who can hardly express himself clearly?[43.52]

Fāstakhaffa Qawmahu Fa'aţā`ūhu 'Innahum Kānū Qawmāan Fāsiqīna Thus did he incite his people and they obeyed him; surely they were a nation of transgressors.[43.54] ~
Falammā 'Āsafūnā Antaqamnā Minhum Fa'aghraqnāhum 'Ajma`īna At last when they provoked Us, We inflicted retribution on them and drowned them all,[43.55]
