Ţā-Sī‍‍n‍‍-Mī‍‍m Tuم Sïn M'ïm.[26.1]طَا-سِي‍‌‍ن‍‍-مِيم
Tilka '‍‍Ā‍‍y‍‍ā‍‍tu A‍‍l-Kit‍‍ā‍‍bi A‍‍l-Mub‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍i These are verses of the Glorious Book.[26.2]تِلْكَ ‌آي‍‍َاتُ ‌الْكِت‍‍َابِ ‌الْمُب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نِ
La`allaka Bā‍‍kh‍‍i`u‍‍n Nafsaka 'Allā Yakūnū Mu'umin‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a O Muhammad, you will perhaps fret yourself to death with grief because they do not believe.[26.3]لَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ نَفْسَكَ ‌أَلاَّ‌ يَكُونُوا مُؤْمِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'I‍‍n Na‍‍sh‍‍a' Nunazzil `Alayhi‍‍m Mina A‍‍s-Sam‍‍ā‍‍'i '‍‍Ā‍‍yata‍‍n Fažallat 'A`nāquhu‍‍m Lahā Kh‍‍āđi`‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a If We wanted, We could send down upon them a sign from the heaven before which they would bend their necks in submission, but that is not what We want.[26.4]‌إِنْ نَشَأْ‌ نُنَزِّلْ عَلَيْهِ‍‍مْ مِنَ ‌ال‍‍سَّم‍‍َا‌ءِ آيَةً فَظَلَّتْ ‌أَعْنَاقُهُمْ لَهَا‌ خَاضِع‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa Mā Ya'tīhi‍‍m Mi‍‍n Dh‍‍ik‍‍r‍‍i‍‍n Mina A‍‍r-Raĥm‍‍ā‍‍ni Muĥda‍‍th‍‍in 'Illā Kānū `Anhu Mu`‍‍r‍‍iđ‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a They have been turning their backs on each fresh warning that comes to them from the Compassionate (Allah).[26.5]‌وَمَا‌ يَأْتِيهِ‍‍مْ مِ‍‌‍نْ ‌ذِكْر‌ٍ مِنَ ‌ال‍‍رَّحْمَنِ مُحْدَثٍ ‌إِلاَّ‌ كَ‍انُوا عَنْهُ مُعْ‍‍رِض‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Faqa‍‍d Ka‍‍dh‍‍dh‍‍abū Fasaya'tīhi‍‍m 'A‍n‍‍b‍‍ā‍‍'u Mā Kānū Bih‍‍i Yastahzi'‍‍ū‍‍n But now that they have neglected the warning, they will soon come to know the reality of what they have been mocking at.[26.6]فَقَ‍‍دْ‌ كَذَّبُوا فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْ ‌أَنْ‍‍ب‍‍َا‌ءُ‌ مَا‌ كَ‍انُوا بِهِ‍ِ‍‌ يَسْتَهْزِئ‍‍ُ‍‍و‌ن
'Awala‍‍m Yaraw 'Ilá A‍‍l-'Arđi Ka‍‍m 'A‍n‍‍batnā Fīhā Mi‍‍n Kulli Zawji‍‍n Ka‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍in Have they not looked at the earth to see how We have caused all kinds of noble pairs to grow in it?[26.7]‌أَ‌وَلَمْ يَرَ‌وْ‌ا إِلَى‌ ‌الأَ‌رْضِ كَمْ ‌أَنْ‍‍بَتْنَا‌ فِيهَا‌ مِ‍‌‍نْ كُلِّ ‌زَ‌وْجٍ كَ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٍ
'I‍‍nn‍‍a Fī Dh‍‍ālika La'‍‍ā‍‍yata‍‍n Wa Mā K‍‍ā‍‍na 'Ak‍‍th‍‍aruhu‍‍m Mu'umin‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Surely in this there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe.[26.8]‌إِنَّ فِي ‌ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً ‌وَمَا‌ ك‍‍َانَ ‌أَكْثَرُهُ‍‍مْ مُؤْمِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Rabbaka Lahuwa A‍‍l-`Az‍‍ī‍‍zu A‍‍r-Raĥ‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍u In fact your Rabb is the Mighty as well as the Merciful.[26.9]‌وَ‌إِنَّ ‌رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ‌الْعَز‍ِ‍ي‍‍زُ‌ ‌ال‍‍رَّح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مُ
‌ Wa 'I‍‍dh Nādá Rabbuka Mūs‍‍á 'Ani A‍‍'ti A‍‍l-Qawma A‍‍ž-Žālim‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Remind them of the story when your Rabb called Musa (Moses) and said: “Go to the wicked people[26.10]‌وَ‌إِ‌ذْ‌ نَا‌دَ‌ى رَبُّكَ مُوسَ‍‍ى‌ ‌أَنِ ‌ائْتِ ‌الْقَوْمَ ‌ال‍‍ظَّالِم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Qawma Fi‍‍r‍‍`awna 'Alā Yattaq‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a the people of Fir'on (Pharaoh). Have they no fear?”[26.11]قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ ‌أَلاَ‌ يَتَّق‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Rabbi 'I‍‍nn‍‍ī 'A‍‍kh‍‍ā‍‍fu 'A‍‍n Yuka‍‍dh‍‍dh‍‍ib‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍i Musa submitted, saying: “My Rabb! I fear that they will reject me.[26.12]ق‍‍َالَ ‌رَبِّ ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي ‌أَخ‍‍َافُ ‌أَنْ يُكَذِّب‍‍ُ‍ونِ
‌ Wa Yađ‍‍ī‍‍qu Şa‍‍d‍‍r‍‍ī Wa Lā Ya‍‍n‍‍ţaliqu Lisānī Fa'arsil 'Ilá Hār‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a My breast feels cramped and my tongue is not eloquent; send Haroon (Aaron).[26.13]‌وَيَض‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍قُ صَ‍‍دْ‌رِي ‌وَلاَ‌ يَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍طَلِقُ لِسَانِي فَأَ‌رْسِلْ ‌إِلَى‌ هَا‌ر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
‌ Wa Lahu‍‍m `Alayya Dh‍‍a‍n‍‍bu‍‍n Fa'a‍‍kh‍‍ā‍‍fu 'A‍‍n Ya‍‍q‍‍tul‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍i They have a charge of manslaughter against me and I fear they may put me to death.”[26.14]‌وَلَهُمْ عَلَيَّ ‌ذَنْ‍‍بٌ فَأَخ‍‍َافُ ‌أَنْ يَ‍‍قْ‍‍تُل‍‍ُ‍ونِ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Kallā Fā‍‍dh‍‍/habā Bi'‍‍ā‍‍yātin‍‍ā 'I‍‍nn‍‍ā Ma`aku‍‍m Mustami`‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Allah said: “Indeed not! Proceed, both of you, with Our signs; surely We are with you, listening.[26.15]ق‍‍َالَ كَلاَّ‌ فَ‍ا‌ذْهَبَا‌ بِآيَاتِنَ‍ا إِنَّ‍ا‌ مَعَكُ‍‍مْ مُسْتَمِع‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Fa'tiyā Fi‍‍r‍‍`awna Faqūl‍‍ā 'I‍‍nn‍‍ā Ras‍‍ū‍‍lu Rabbi A‍‍l-`Ālam‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Go to Fir'on and tell him: "We are the Rasools from the Rabb of the Worlds.[26.16]فَأْتِيَا‌ فِرْعَوْنَ فَقُولاَ إِنَّ‍ا رَس‍‍ُ‍ولُ ‌رَبِّ ‌الْعَالَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'An 'Arsil Ma`anā Ban‍‍ī 'Isr‍‍ā‍‍'‍‍ī‍‍l‍‍a You should send with us the Children of Israel."[26.17]‌أَنْ ‌أَ‌رْسِلْ مَعَنَا‌ بَنِ‍‍ي ‌إِسْرَ‌ائ‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍لَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la 'Ala‍‍m Nurabbika Fīnā Walīdāa‍‍n Wa Labi‍‍th‍‍ta Fīnā Min `Umu‍‍r‍‍ika Sin‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a When they went to Fir'on and conveyed the Message of Allah, he said: “Did we not cherish you when you were a child? Did you not stay several years of your life among us?[26.18]ق‍‍َالَ ‌أَلَمْ نُرَبِّكَ فِينَا وَلِيد‌اً ‌وَلَبِثْتَ فِينَا‌ مِنْ عُمُ‍‍رِكَ سِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa Fa`alta Fa`lataka A‍‍llatī Fa`alta Wa 'A‍‍n‍‍ta Mina A‍‍l-Kāfi‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Then you did what you did; you are so ungrateful!”[26.19]‌وَفَعَلْتَ فَعْلَتَكَ ‌الَّتِي فَعَلْتَ ‌وَ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍تَ مِنَ ‌الْكَافِ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Fa`altuh‍‍ā 'I‍‍dh‍‍āa‍‍n Wa 'Anā Mina A‍‍đ-Đ‍‍ā‍‍llīn Musa replied: “I did that when I was a misguided youth.[26.20]ق‍‍َالَ فَعَلْتُهَ‍ا إِ‌ذ‌اً ‌وَ‌أَنَا‌ مِنَ ‌ال‍‍ضّ‍‍َالِّي‍‌‍ن
Fafarartu Mi‍‍n‍‍ku‍‍m La‍‍mm‍‍ā Kh‍‍iftuku‍‍m Fawahaba Lī Rabbī Ĥukmāa‍‍n Wa Ja`alanī Mina A‍‍l-Mursal‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a I fled from you all because I feared you; but now my Rabb has granted me wisdom and appointed me as one of His Rasools.[26.21]فَفَرَ‌رْتُ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍كُمْ لَ‍‍مَّ‍ا‌ خِفْتُكُمْ فَوَهَبَ لِي ‌رَبِّي حُكْماً ‌وَجَعَلَنِي مِنَ ‌الْمُرْسَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa Tilka Ni`matu‍‍n Tamu‍‍nn‍‍uhā `Alayya 'An `Abba‍‍d‍‍ta Ban‍‍ī 'Isr‍‍ā‍‍'‍‍ī‍‍l‍‍a Is it a favor with which you taunt me, that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?”[26.22]‌وَتِلْكَ نِعْمَةٌ تَمُ‍‍نُّ‍‍هَا‌ عَلَيَّ ‌أَنْ عَبَّ‍‍دْتَ بَنِ‍‍ي ‌إِسْرَ‌ائ‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍لَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Fi‍‍r‍‍`awnu Wa Mā Rabbu A‍‍l-`Ālam‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Fir'on said: “Who is this Rabb of the Worlds?”[26.23]ق‍‍َالَ فِرْعَوْنُ ‌وَمَا رَبُّ ‌الْعَالَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Rabbu A‍‍s-Samāw‍‍ā‍‍ti Wa A‍‍l-'Arđi Wa Mā Baynahum‍‍ā 'I‍‍n Ku‍‍n‍‍tu‍‍m Mūqin‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Musa replied: “He is the Rabb of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, if you really care to believe.”[26.24]ق‍‍َالَ ‌رَبُّ ‌ال‍‍سَّمَا‌و‍َ‍‌اتِ ‌وَ‌الأَ‌رْضِ ‌وَمَا‌ بَيْنَهُمَ‍ا إ‌نْ كُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تُ‍‍مْ مُوقِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Liman Ĥawlah‍‍u 'Alā Tastami`‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Fir'on said to those around him, “Do you hear that?”[26.25]ق‍‍َالَ لِمَنْ حَوْلَهُ‍‍~ُ ‌أَلاَ‌ تَسْتَمِع‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Rabbuku‍‍m Wa Rabbu '‍‍Ā‍‍b‍‍ā‍‍'ikumu A‍‍l-'Awwal‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Musa continued: “He is your Rabb and the Rabb of your forefathers."[26.26]ق‍‍َالَ ‌رَبُّكُمْ ‌وَ‌رَبُّ ‌آبَائِكُمُ ‌الأَ‌وَّل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Rasūlakumu A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī 'Ursila 'Ilayku‍‍m Lama‍‍j‍‍n‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍un Fir'on interjected: “This Rasool of yours, who has been sent to you, is crazy.”[26.27]ق‍‍َالَ ‌إِنَّ ‌رَسُولَكُمُ ‌الَّذِي ‌أُ‌رْسِلَ ‌إِلَيْكُمْ لَمَ‍‍جْ‍‍ن‍‍ُ‍ونٌ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Rabbu A‍‍l-Ma‍‍sh‍‍r‍‍iqi Wa A‍‍l-Ma‍‍gh‍‍r‍‍ibi Wa Mā Baynahum‍‍ā 'I‍‍n Ku‍‍n‍‍tu‍‍m Ta`qil‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Musa continued:“ He is the Rabb of the east and west, and all that lies between them. If you would only care and try to understand." [26.28]ق‍‍َالَ ‌رَبُّ ‌الْمَشْ‍‍رِقِ ‌وَ‌الْمَغْ‍‍رِبِ ‌وَمَا‌ بَيْنَهُمَ‍ا إِ‌نْ كُ‍‌‍نْ‍‍تُمْ تَعْقِل‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la La'ini A‍‍tta‍‍kh‍‍a‍‍dh‍‍ta 'Ilahāan Gh‍‍ay‍‍r‍‍ī La'a‍‍j‍‍`ala‍‍nn‍‍aka Mina A‍‍l-Masjūn‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a At this, Fir'on, who did not want to listen any more said: “If you serve any other god besides me, I shall have you thrown into prison."[26.29]ق‍‍َالَ لَئِنِ ‌اتَّخَذْتَ ‌إِلَهَاً‌ غَيْ‍‍رِي لَأَجْ‍‍عَلَ‍‍نَّ‍‍كَ مِنَ ‌الْمَسْجُون‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la 'Awalaw Ji'tuka Bi‍‍sh‍‍ay'i‍‍n Mub‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍in At this, Musa said: “What if I show you a convincing sign?”[26.30]ق‍‍َالَ ‌أَ‌وَلَوْ‌ جِئْتُكَ بِشَيْء‌ٍ مُب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نٍ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Fa'ti Bih‍‍i 'I‍‍n Ku‍‍n‍‍ta Mina A‍‍ş-Şādiq‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Fir'on said: “Go ahead, show it if you are of the truthful."[26.31]ق‍‍َالَ فَأْتِ بِهِ ‌إِ‌نْ كُ‍‌‍نْ‍‍تَ مِنَ ‌ال‍‍صَّا‌دِق‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Fa'alqá `Aş‍‍ā‍‍h‍‍u Fa'i‍‍dh‍‍ā Hiya Th‍‍u`b‍‍ā‍‍nu‍‍n Mub‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍un Hearing this, Musa threw down his staff, and thereupon it changed into a veritable serpent.[26.32]فَأَلْقَى‌ عَص‍‍َاهُُفَإِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ هِيَ ثُعْب‍‍َانٌ مُب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نٌ
‌ Wa Naza`a Yadah‍‍u Fa'i‍‍dh‍‍ā Hiya Bayđ‍‍ā‍‍'u Lil‍‍nn‍‍āži‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Then he drew forth his hand and it became shining bright for the spectators.[26.33]‌وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُُفَإِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ هِيَ بَيْض‍‍َا‌ءُ‌ لِل‍‍نَّ‍اظِ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Lilmala'i Ĥawlah‍‍u 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Hā‍‍dh‍‍ā Lasāĥi‍‍r‍‍un `Al‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍un After witnessing both the miracles, Fir'on (Pharaoh) said to the chiefs around him: “This fellow is certainly a skilled magician,[26.34]ق‍‍َالَ لِلْمَلَإِ‌ حَوْلَهُ‍‍~ُ ‌إِنَّ هَذَ‌ا‌ لَسَاحِرٌ‌ عَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٌ
Yu‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍du 'A‍‍n Yu‍‍kh‍‍r‍‍ijaku‍‍m Min 'Arđiku‍‍m Bisiĥ‍‍r‍‍ih‍‍i Famā‍‍dh‍‍ā Ta'mur‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a who seeks to drive you out from your land by the force of his magic. Now what is your advice?”[26.35]يُ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍دُ أَنْ يُخْ‍‍رِجَكُ‍‍مْ مِنْ ‌أَ‌رْضِكُ‍‍مْ بِسِحْ‍‍رِهِ‍ِ‍‌ فَمَا‌ذَ‌ا‌ تَأْمُر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
Qāl‍‍ū 'Arjih‍‍i Wa 'A‍‍kh‍‍ā‍‍h‍‍u Wa A‍‍b‍‍`a‍‍th A‍‍l-Mad‍‍ā‍‍'ini Ĥā‍‍sh‍‍i‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a They submitted: “Put him and his brother off for a while, and dispatch heralds to the various cities[26.36]قَالُ‍‍وا ‌أَ‌رْجِهِ‍ِ‍ وَ‌أَخ‍‍َاهُُ‌وَ‌ابْ‍‍عَثْ فِي ‌الْمَدَ‌ائِنِ حَاشِ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Ya't‍‍ū‍‍ka Bikulli Saĥĥ‍‍ā‍‍r‍‍in `Al‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍in to bring you every skilled magician."[26.37]يَأْت‍‍ُ‍وكَ بِكُلِّ سَحّ‍‍َا‌رٍ‌ عَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٍ
Fajumi`a A‍‍s-Saĥaratu Limīq‍‍ā‍‍ti Yawmi‍‍n Ma`l‍‍ū‍‍m‍‍in So the magicians were brought together at the appointed time on a fixed day.[26.38]فَجُمِعَ ‌ال‍‍سَّحَرَةُ لِمِيق‍‍َاتِ يَوْمٍ مَعْل‍‍ُ‍ومٍ
‌ Wa Q‍‍ī‍‍la Lil‍‍nn‍‍ā‍‍si Hal 'A‍‍n‍‍tu‍‍m Mu‍‍j‍‍tami`‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a The people were motivated through saying: “Would you come to the gathering?[26.39]‌وَق‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍لَ لِل‍‍نّ‍‍َاسِ هَلْ ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍تُ‍‍مْ مُ‍‍جْ‍‍تَمِع‍‍ُ‍ونَ
La`allanā Nattabi`u A‍‍s-Saĥarata 'I‍‍n Kānū Humu A‍‍l-‍‍Gh‍‍ālib‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a So that we may follow the magicians if they are dominant.”[26.40]لَعَلَّنَا‌ نَتَّبِعُ ‌ال‍‍سَّحَرَةَ ‌إِ‌نْ كَ‍انُوا هُمُ ‌الْغَالِب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Fala‍‍mm‍‍ā J‍‍ā‍‍'a A‍‍s-Saĥaratu Qālū Lifi‍‍r‍‍`awna 'A'i‍‍nn‍‍a Lanā La'a‍‍j‍‍rāan 'I‍‍n Ku‍‍nn‍‍ā Naĥnu A‍‍l-‍‍Gh‍‍ālib‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a When the magicians arrived, they asked Fir'on: “Shall we get a reward if we are dominant?”[26.41]فَلَ‍‍مَّ‍ا‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَ ‌ال‍‍سَّحَرَةُ قَالُ‍‍وا لِفِرْعَوْنَ ‌أَئِ‍‍نَّ لَنَا‌ لَأَجْ‍‍ر‌اً ‌إِ‌نْ كُ‍‍نَّ‍ا‌ نَحْنُ ‌الْغَالِب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Na`a‍‍m Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍aku‍‍m 'I‍‍dh‍‍āa‍‍n Lamina A‍‍l-Muqarrab‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Fir'on replied: “Yes of course! You will even be made my courtiers."[26.42]ق‍‍َالَ نَعَمْ ‌وَ‌إِنَّ‍‍كُمْ ‌إِ‌ذ‌اً لَمِنَ ‌الْمُقَرَّب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Lahu‍‍m Mūs‍‍á 'Alqū M‍‍ā 'A‍‍n‍‍tu‍‍m Mulq‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Musa said to them: “Cast down what you are going to cast."[26.43]ق‍‍َالَ لَهُ‍‍مْ مُوسَ‍‍ى‌ ‌أَلْقُوا مَ‍ا أَ‌نْ‍‍تُ‍‍مْ مُلْق‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Fa'alqaw Ĥibālahu‍‍m Wa `Işīyahu‍‍m Wa Qālū Bi`izzati Fi‍‍r‍‍`awna 'I‍‍nn‍‍ā Lanaĥnu A‍‍l-‍‍Gh‍‍ālib‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Thereupon they cast down their ropes and staffs, saying: “By the glory of Fir'on, we shall be the winners."[26.44]فَأَلْقَوْ‌ا‌ حِبَالَهُمْ ‌وَعِصِيَّهُمْ ‌وَقَالُوا بِعِزَّةِ فِرْعَوْنَ ‌إِنَّ‍ا‌ لَنَحْنُ ‌الْغَالِب‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Fa'alqá Mūsá `Aş‍‍ā‍‍h‍‍u Fa'i‍‍dh‍‍ā Hiya Talqafu Mā Ya'fik‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Then Musa threw down his staff, and lo! It swallowed their false devices.[26.45]فَأَلْقَى‌ مُوسَى‌ عَص‍‍َاهُُفَإِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ هِيَ تَلْقَفُ مَا‌ يَأْفِك‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Fa'ulqiya A‍‍s-Saĥaratu Sājid‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a At this, all the magicians prostrated themselves,[26.46]فَأُلْقِيَ ‌ال‍‍سَّحَرَةُ سَاجِد‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Qāl‍‍ū '‍‍Ā‍‍ma‍‍nn‍‍ā Birabbi A‍‍l-`Ālam‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a saying: “We believe in the Rabb of the Worlds,[26.47]قَالُ‍‍وا ‌آمَ‍‍نَّ‍ا‌ بِرَبِّ ‌الْعَالَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Rabbi Mūsá Wa Hār‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a the Rabb of Musa (Moses) and Haroon (Aaron)."[26.48]‌رَبِّ مُوسَى وَهَا‌ر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la '‍‍Ā‍‍ma‍‍n‍‍tu‍‍m Lah‍‍u Qa‍‍b‍‍la 'An '‍‍Ā‍‍dh‍‍ana Laku‍‍m 'I‍‍nn‍‍ah‍‍u Lakabīrukumu A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī `Allamakumu A‍‍s-Siĥra Falasawfa Ta`lam‍‍ū‍‍na La'uqaţţi`a‍‍nn‍‍a 'Aydiyaku‍‍m Wa 'Arjulaku‍‍m Min Kh‍‍il‍‍ā‍‍fi‍‍n Wa La'uşalliba‍‍nn‍‍aku‍‍m 'A‍‍j‍‍ma`‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Fir'on shouted: “How dare you believe in him before I give you permission? He must be your master who taught you the witchcraft. But soon you shall find out. I will cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides and crucify you all."[26.49]ق‍‍َالَ ‌آمَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍تُمْ لَهُُقَ‍‍بْ‍‍لَ ‌أَ‌نْ ‌آ‌ذَنَ لَكُمْ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُُلَكَبِيرُكُمُ ‌الَّذِي عَلَّمَكُمُ ‌ال‍‍سِّحْرَ‌ فَلَسَوْفَ تَعْلَم‍‍ُ‍ونَ لَأُقَطِّعَ‍‍نَّ ‌أَيْدِيَكُمْ ‌وَ‌أَ‌رْجُلَكُ‍‍مْ مِنْ خِلاَفٍ ‌وَلَأُصَلِّبَ‍‍نَّ‍‍كُمْ ‌أَجْ‍‍مَع‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Qālū Lā Đayra 'I‍‍nn‍‍ā 'Ilá Rabbinā Mu‍‍n‍‍qalib‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a They replied: “We don’t care! We are going to return to our Rabb anyway.[26.50]قَالُوا لاَ‌ ضَيْرَ إِنَّ‍ا إِلَى رَبِّنَا‌ مُ‍‌‍نْ‍‍قَلِب‍‍ُ‍ونَ
'I‍‍nn‍‍ā Na‍‍ţ‍‍ma`u 'A‍‍n Ya‍‍gh‍‍fi‍‍r‍‍a Lanā Rabbunā Kh‍‍aţāyān‍‍ā 'A‍‍n Ku‍‍nn‍‍ā 'Awwala A‍‍l-Mu'umin‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a We only desire that our Rabb may forgive us our sins, as we are the first to believe."[26.51]‌إِنَّ‍ا‌ نَ‍‍طْ‍‍مَعُ ‌أَنْ يَغْفِ‍‍رَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا‌ خَطَايَانَ‍ا أَ‌نْ كُ‍‍نَّ‍ا أَ‌وَّلَ ‌الْمُؤْمِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa 'Awĥayn‍‍ā 'Ilá Mūs‍‍á 'An 'As‍‍r‍‍i Bi`ibād‍‍ī 'I‍‍nn‍‍aku‍‍m Muttaba`‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a We revealed to Musa (Moses), saying: “Set off with my servants by night and beware that you will be pursued."[26.52]‌وَ‌أَ‌وْحَيْنَ‍ا إِلَى‌ مُوسَ‍‍ى‌ ‌أَنْ ‌أَسْ‍‍رِ بِعِبَا‌دِي ‌إِنَّ‍‍كُ‍‍مْ مُتَّبَع‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Fa'arsala Fi‍‍r‍‍`awnu Fī A‍‍l-Mad‍‍ā‍‍'ini Ĥā‍‍sh‍‍i‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Fir'on (Pharaoh) sent heralds to all the cities,[26.53]فَأَ‌رْسَلَ فِرْعَوْنُ فِي ‌الْمَدَ‌ائِنِ حَاشِ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'I‍‍nn‍‍a H‍‍ā‍‍'uul‍‍ā‍‍' La‍‍sh‍‍i‍‍r‍‍dh‍‍imatu‍‍n Qalīl‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a and to mobilize his people he said: “These Israelites are but a handful of people,[26.54]‌إِنَّ هَا‌ؤُلاَ‌ء‌ لَشِرْ‌ذِمَةٌ قَلِيل‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍ahu‍‍m Lanā La‍‍gh‍‍ā‍‍'iž‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a who have provoked us much;[26.55]‌وَ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُمْ لَنَا‌ لَغَائِظ‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍ā Lajam‍‍ī‍‍`un Ĥā‍‍dh‍‍ir‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a while we have a large army, well prepared."[26.56]‌وَ‌إِنَّ‍ا‌ لَجَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍عٌ حَا‌ذِ‌ر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
Fa'a‍‍kh‍‍ra‍‍j‍‍nāhu‍‍m Mi‍‍n Ja‍‍nn‍‍ā‍‍ti‍‍n Wa `Uy‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍in Thus did We make them leave their gardens and their water springs,[26.57]فَأَخْرَجْ‍‍نَاهُ‍‍مْ مِ‍‌‍نْ جَ‍‍نّ‍‍َاتٍ ‌وَعُي‍‍ُ‍ونٍ
‌ Wa Kun‍‍ū‍‍zi‍‍n Wa Maq‍‍ā‍‍mi‍‍n Ka‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍in their treasures and sumptuous dwellings.[26.58]‌وَكُن‍‍ُ‍و‌ز‌ٍ ‌وَمَق‍‍َامٍ كَ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٍ
Ka‍‍dh‍‍ālika Wa 'Awra‍‍th‍‍nāhā Ban‍‍ī 'Isr‍‍ā‍‍'‍‍ī‍‍l‍‍a This is how they were made to lose, while on the other hand We made the Children of Israel inheritors of such things.[26.59]كَذَلِكَ ‌وَ‌أَ‌وْ‌رَثْنَاهَا‌ بَنِ‍‍ي ‌إِسْرَ‌ائ‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍لَ
Fa'atba`ūhu‍‍m Mu‍‍sh‍‍r‍‍iq‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a At sunrise the Egyptians pursued them.[26.60]فَأَتْبَعُوهُ‍‍مْ مُشْ‍‍رِق‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Fala‍‍mm‍‍ā Tar‍‍ā‍‍'‍‍á‍ A‍‍l-Ja‍‍m‍‍`‍‍ā‍‍ni Q‍‍ā‍‍la 'Aşĥ‍‍ā‍‍bu Mūs‍‍á 'I‍‍nn‍‍ā Lamu‍‍d‍‍rak‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a When the two hosts came face to face, the companions of Musa cried out: “We are surely overtaken."[26.61]فَلَ‍‍مَّ‍ا‌ تَرَ‌ا‌ءَ‌ى‌ ‌الْجَمْع‍‍َانِ ق‍‍َالَ ‌أَصْح‍‍َابُ مُوسَ‍‍ى إِنَّ‍ا‌ لَمُ‍‍دْ‌رَك‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Kall‍‍ā 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Ma`iya Rabbī Sayahd‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍i Musa said: “Not at all! My Rabb is with me; He will show me a way out.”[26.62]ق‍‍َالَ كَلاَّ إِنَّ مَعِيَ ‌رَبِّي سَيَهْد‍ِ‍ي‍‍نِ
Fa'awĥayn‍‍ā 'Ilá Mūs‍‍á 'Ani A‍‍đ‍‍r‍‍i‍‍b Bi`aş‍‍ā‍‍ka A‍‍l-Baĥra Fā‍‍n‍‍falaqa Fak‍‍ā‍‍na Kullu Fi‍‍r‍‍qi‍‍n Kālţţawdi A‍‍l-`Až‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍i Then We revealed Our will to Musa: "Strike the sea with your staff," and the sea was cleft asunder, each part stood like a mighty mountain.[26.63]فَأَ‌وْحَيْنَ‍ا إِلَى‌ مُوسَ‍‍ى‌ ‌أَنِ ‌اضْ‍‍رِبْ بِعَص‍‍َاكَ ‌الْبَحْرَ‌ فَ‍ان‍‍فَلَقَ فَك‍‍َانَ كُلُّ فِرْقٍ كَ‍ال‍‍طَّوْ‌دِ‌ ‌الْعَظ‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مِ
‌ Wa 'Azlafnā Th‍‍a‍‍mm‍‍a A‍‍l-'‍‍Ā‍‍kh‍‍a‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a We made the other party (Fir'on and his army) follow them.[26.64]‌وَ‌أَ‌زْلَفْنَا‌ ثَ‍‍مَّ ‌الآخَ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa 'A‍‍n‍‍jaynā Mūsá Wa Ma‍‍n Ma`ah‍‍u 'A‍‍j‍‍ma`‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a We delivered Musa and all who were with him;[26.65]‌وَ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍جَيْنَا‌ مُوسَى وَمَ‍‍نْ مَعَهُ‍‍~ُ ‌أَجْ‍‍مَع‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Th‍‍u‍‍mm‍‍a 'A‍‍gh‍‍ra‍‍q‍‍nā A‍‍l-'‍‍Ā‍‍kh‍‍a‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a and drowned the others.[26.66]ثُ‍‍مَّ ‌أَغْرَقْ‍‍نَا‌ ‌الآخَ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'I‍‍nn‍‍a Fī Dh‍‍ālika La'‍‍ā‍‍yata‍‍n Wa Mā K‍‍ā‍‍na 'Ak‍‍th‍‍aruhu‍‍m Mu'umin‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Surely there is a lesson in this: yet most of these people do not learn this lesson to become believers.[26.67]‌إِنَّ فِي ‌ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً ‌وَمَا‌ ك‍‍َانَ ‌أَكْثَرُهُ‍‍مْ مُؤْمِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Rabbaka Lahuwa A‍‍l-`Az‍‍ī‍‍zu A‍‍r-Raĥ‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍u The fact is that your Rabb is the Mighty as well as the Merciful.[26.68]‌وَ‌إِنَّ ‌رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ‌الْعَز‍ِ‍ي‍‍زُ‌ ‌ال‍‍رَّح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مُ
‌ Wa A‍‍tlu `Alayhi‍‍m Naba'a 'I‍‍b‍‍rāh‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍a Narrate to them the story of Ibrمhïm,[26.69]‌وَ‌اتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ إِبْ‍‍رَ‌اه‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مَ
'I‍‍dh Q‍‍ā‍‍la Li'ab‍‍ī‍‍h‍‍i Wa Qawmihi Mā Ta`bud‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a when he asked his father and his people: “What is that which you worship?”[26.70]‌إِ‌ذْ‌ ق‍‍َالَ لِأَب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ‍ِ‍ وَقَوْمِهِ‍ِ‍‌ مَا‌ تَعْبُد‍ُ‍‌ونَ
Qālū Na`budu 'Aşnāmāa‍‍n Fanažallu Lahā `Ākif‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a They replied: “We worship idols, and sit beside them with all devotion."[26.71]قَالُوا نَعْبُدُ أَصْنَاماً فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا‌ عَاكِف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Hal Yasma`ūnaku‍‍m 'I‍‍dh Ta‍‍d‍‍`‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Ibrمhïm asked: “Do they hear you when you call on them?[26.72]ق‍‍َالَ هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ ‌إِ‌ذْ‌ تَ‍‍دْع‍‍ُ‍ونَ
'Aw Ya‍‍n‍‍fa`ūnaku‍‍m 'Aw Yađurr‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Can they help you or harm you?”[26.73]‌أَ‌وْ‌ يَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍فَعُونَكُمْ ‌أَ‌وْ‌ يَضُرّ‍ُ‍‌ونَ
Qālū Bal Waja‍‍d‍‍n‍‍ā '‍‍Ā‍‍b‍‍ā‍‍'anā Ka‍‍dh‍‍ālika Yaf`al‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a They replied: “No! But we found our forefathers doing so."[26.74]قَالُوا بَلْ ‌وَجَ‍‍دْنَ‍ا آبَا‌ءَنَا‌ كَذَلِكَ يَفْعَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la 'Afara'aytu‍‍m Mā Ku‍‍n‍‍tu‍‍m Ta`bud‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Ibrمhïm said: “Have you ever seen with open eyes these which you have been worshipping[26.75]ق‍‍َالَ ‌أَفَرَ‌أَيْتُ‍‍مْ مَا‌ كُ‍‌‍نْ‍‍تُمْ تَعْبُد‍ُ‍‌ونَ
'A‍‍n‍‍tu‍‍m Wa '‍‍Ā‍‍b‍‍ā‍‍'uukumu A‍‍l-'A‍‍q‍‍dam‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a - you and your forefathers?[26.76]‌أَ‌نْ‍‍تُمْ ‌وَ‌آبَا‌ؤُكُمُ ‌الأَقْ‍‍دَم‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Fa'i‍‍nn‍‍ahu‍‍m `Ad‍‍ū‍‍wu‍‍n L‍‍ī 'Illā Rabba A‍‍l-`Ālam‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a They are all enemies to me; except the Rabb of the Worlds,[26.77]فَإِنَّ‍‍هُمْ عَدُ‌وّ‌ٌ لِ‍‍ي ‌إِلاَّ رَبَّ ‌الْعَالَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Al-La‍‍dh‍‍ī Kh‍‍alaqanī Fahuwa Yahd‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍i Who created me, then He gave me guidance.[26.78]‌الَّذِي خَلَقَنِي فَهُوَ‌ يَهْد‍ِ‍ي‍‍نِ
Wa A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī Huwa Yu‍‍ţ‍‍`imunī Wa Yasq‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍i He is the One Who gives me food and drink,[26.79]‌و‍َ‍‌الَّذِي هُوَ‌ يُ‍‍طْ‍‍عِمُنِي ‌وَيَسْق‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نِ
‌ Wa 'I‍‍dh‍‍ā Ma‍‍r‍‍iđtu Fahuwa Ya‍‍sh‍‍f‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍i Who gives me health when I get sick,[26.80]‌وَ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ مَ‍‍رِضْتُ فَهُوَ‌ يَشْف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نِ
Wa A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī Yumītunī Th‍‍u‍‍mm‍‍a Yuĥy‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍i Who will cause me to die and then bring me back to life,[26.81]‌و‍َ‍‌الَّذِي يُمِيتُنِي ثُ‍‍مَّ يُحْي‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نِ
Wa A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī 'A‍‍ţ‍‍ma`u 'A‍‍n Ya‍‍gh‍‍fi‍‍r‍‍a Lī Kh‍‍aţ‍‍ī‍‍'atī Yawma A‍‍d-D‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍i Who, I hope, will forgive me my mistakes on the Day of Judgment."[26.82]‌و‍َ‍‌الَّذِي ‌أَطْ‍‍مَعُ ‌أَنْ يَغْفِ‍‍رَ لِي خَطِيئَتِي يَوْمَ ‌ال‍‍دّ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نِ
Rabbi Ha‍‍b Lī Ĥukmāa‍‍n Wa 'Alĥi‍‍q‍‍nī Biş-Şāliĥ‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a After this, Ibrمhïm prayed: “O my Rabb! Bestow wisdom upon me and admit me among the righteous,[26.83]‌رَبِّ هَ‍‍بْ لِي حُكْماً ‌وَ‌أَلْحِ‍‍قْ‍‍نِي بِ‍ال‍‍صَّالِح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa A‍‍j‍‍`a‍‍l Lī Lis‍‍ā‍‍na Şi‍‍d‍‍qi‍‍n A‍‍l-'‍‍Ā‍‍kh‍‍i‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a grant me a reputation of truthfulness on the tongue of later generations,[26.84]‌وَ‌اجْ‍‍عَ‍‍لْ لِي لِس‍‍َانَ صِ‍‍دْقٍ فِي ‌الآخِ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa A‍‍j‍‍`alnī Mi‍‍n Wara‍‍th‍‍ati Ja‍‍nn‍‍ati A‍‍n‍‍-Na`‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍i count me among the inheritors of the paradise of Bliss;[26.85]‌وَ‌اجْ‍‍عَلْنِي مِ‍‍نْ ‌وَ‌رَثَةِ جَ‍‍نَّ‍‍ةِ ‌ال‍‍نَّ‍‍ع‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مِ
‌ Wa A‍‍gh‍‍fir Li'ab‍‍ī 'I‍‍nn‍‍ahu K‍‍ā‍‍na Mina A‍‍đ-Đ‍‍ā‍‍ll‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a forgive my father, for he is from among those who have gone astray,[26.86]‌وَ‌اغْفِرْ‌ لِأَبِ‍‍ي ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُُك‍‍َانَ مِنَ ‌ال‍‍ضّ‍‍َالّ‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa Lā Tu‍‍kh‍‍zinī Yawma Yu‍‍b‍‍`a‍‍th‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a do not hold me up in shame on the Day when everybody will be raised back to life[26.87]‌وَلاَ‌ تُخْزِنِي يَوْمَ يُ‍‍بْ‍‍عَث‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Yawma Lā Ya‍‍n‍‍fa`u M‍‍ā‍‍lu‍‍n Wa Lā Ban‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a - the Day when neither wealth nor sons will avail anyone,[26.88]يَوْمَ لاَ‌ يَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍فَعُ م‍‍َالٌ ‌وَلاَ‌ بَن‍‍ُ‍ونَ
'Illā Man 'Atá A‍‍l-Lah‍‍a Biqalbi‍‍n Sal‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍in and when none shall be saved except him who will come before Allah with a pure heart,[26.89]‌إِلاَّ‌ مَنْ ‌أَتَى‌ ‌ال‍‍لَّهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٍ
‌ Wa 'Uzlifati A‍‍l-Ja‍‍nn‍‍atu Lilmuttaq‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a when paradise shall be brought in the sight of the righteous;[26.90]‌وَ‌أُ‌زْلِفَتِ ‌الْجَ‍‍نَّ‍‍ةُ لِلْمُتَّق‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa Bur‍‍r‍‍izati A‍‍l-Jaĥ‍‍ī‍‍mu Lil‍‍gh‍‍āw‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a while hell shall be spread open to the straying[26.91]‌وَبُرِّ‌زَتِ ‌الْجَح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مُ لِلْغَا‌و‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa Q‍‍ī‍‍la Lahu‍‍m 'Ayna Mā Ku‍‍n‍‍tu‍‍m Ta`bud‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a and they will be asked: "Now, where are those whom you worshipped[26.92]‌وَق‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍لَ لَهُمْ ‌أَيْنَ مَا‌ كُ‍‌‍نْ‍‍تُمْ تَعْبُد‍ُ‍‌ونَ
Mi‍‍n D‍‍ū‍‍ni A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i Hal Ya‍‍n‍‍şurūnaku‍‍m 'Aw Ya‍‍n‍‍taşir‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a besides Allah? Can they help you or even help themselves?”[26.93]مِ‍‌‍نْ ‌د‍ُ‍‌ونِ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ هَلْ يَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍صُرُ‌ونَكُمْ ‌أَ‌وْ‌ يَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍تَصِر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
Faku‍‍b‍‍kibū Fīhā Hu‍‍m Wa A‍‍l-‍‍Gh‍‍āw‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Then they will be toppled into it, both they and those who misled them,[26.94]فَكُ‍‍بْ‍‍كِبُوا فِيهَا‌ هُمْ ‌وَ‌الْغَا‌و‍ُ‍‌ونَ
‌ Wa Jun‍‍ū‍‍du 'I‍‍b‍‍l‍‍ī‍‍sa 'A‍‍j‍‍ma`‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a together with all the armies of Iblees,[26.95]‌وَجُن‍‍ُ‍و‌دُ إِبْ‍‍ل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍سَ ‌أَجْ‍‍مَع‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Qālū Wa Hu‍‍m Fīhā Ya‍‍kh‍‍taşim‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a wherein they will argue with one another[26.96]قَالُوا ‌وَهُمْ فِيهَا‌ يَخْتَصِم‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Ta-All‍‍ā‍‍hi 'I‍‍n Ku‍‍nn‍‍ā Lafī Đal‍‍ā‍‍li‍‍n Mub‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍in saying: “ By Allah, we were indeed in manifest error,[26.97]تَاللَّهِ ‌إِ‌نْ كُ‍‍نَّ‍ا‌ لَفِي ضَلاَلٍ مُب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نٍ
'I‍‍dh Nusawwīku‍‍m Birabbi A‍‍l-`Ālam‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a when we made you equals with the Rabb of the Worlds.[26.98]‌إِ‌ذْ‌ نُسَوِّيكُ‍‍مْ بِرَبِّ ‌الْعَالَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa M‍‍ā 'Ađallan‍‍ā 'Illā A‍‍l-Mu‍‍j‍‍r‍‍im‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a It was the criminals who led us astray.[26.99]‌وَمَ‍ا أَضَلَّنَ‍ا إِلاَّ ‌الْمُ‍‍جْ‍‍رِم‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Famā Lanā Mi‍‍n Sh‍‍āfi`‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Now we have no intercessors,[26.100]فَمَا‌ لَنَا‌ مِ‍‌‍نْ شَافِع‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa Lā Şad‍‍ī‍‍qin Ĥam‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍in and no loving friends.[26.101]‌وَلاَ‌ صَد‍ِ‍ي‍‍قٍ حَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٍ
Falaw 'A‍‍nn‍‍a Lanā Karrata‍‍n Fanak‍‍ū‍‍na Mina A‍‍l-Mu'umin‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a If we could but once return to our worldly life, we would be of the true believers."[26.102]فَلَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا‌ كَرَّةً فَنَك‍‍ُ‍ونَ مِنَ ‌الْمُؤْمِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'I‍‍nn‍‍a Fī Dh‍‍ālika La'‍‍ā‍‍yata‍‍n Wa Mā K‍‍ā‍‍na 'Ak‍‍th‍‍aruhu‍‍m Mu'umin‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Surely in this narration there is a great lesson, but most of these people do not learn a lesson to become believers.[26.103]‌إِنَّ فِي ‌ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً ‌وَمَا‌ ك‍‍َانَ ‌أَكْثَرُهُ‍‍مْ مُؤْمِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Rabbaka Lahuwa A‍‍l-`Az‍‍ī‍‍zu A‍‍r-Raĥ‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍u The fact is that your Rabb is the Mighty as well as the Merciful.[26.104]‌وَ‌إِنَّ ‌رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ‌الْعَز‍ِ‍ي‍‍زُ‌ ‌ال‍‍رَّح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مُ
Ka‍‍dh‍‍dh‍‍abat Qawmu Nūĥin A‍‍l-Mursal‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a The people of Nüh, also, rejected the Rasools.[26.105]كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ ن‍‍ُ‍وحٍ ‌الْمُرْسَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'I‍‍dh Q‍‍ā‍‍la Lahu‍‍m 'A‍‍kh‍‍ūhu‍‍m Nūĥun 'Alā Tattaq‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Remember when their brother Nüh asked them: “Have you no fear of Allah?[26.106]‌إِ‌ذْ‌ ق‍‍َالَ لَهُمْ ‌أَخُوهُمْ ن‍‍ُ‍وحٌ ‌أَلاَ‌ تَتَّق‍‍ُ‍ونَ
'I‍‍nn‍‍ī Laku‍‍m Ras‍‍ū‍‍lun 'Am‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍un Rest assured that I am a trustworthy Rasool of Allah towards you,[26.107]‌إِنِّ‍‍ي لَكُمْ ‌رَس‍‍ُ‍ولٌ ‌أَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نٌ
F‍‍ā‍‍ttaqū A‍‍l-Lah‍‍a Wa 'Aţī`‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍i so fear Allah and obey me.[26.108]ف‍‍َاتَّقُوا ‌ال‍‍لَّهَ ‌وَ‌أَطِيع‍‍ُ‍ونِ
‌ Wa M‍‍ā 'As'aluku‍‍m `Alayhi Min 'A‍‍j‍‍r‍‍in 'In 'A‍‍j‍‍r‍‍ī 'Illā `Alá Rabbi A‍‍l-`Ālam‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a I do not ask you for any reward for my services, for my reward will be given by the Rabb of the Worlds,[26.109]‌وَمَ‍ا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ ‌أَجْ‍‍ر‌‌ٍ ‌إِنْ ‌أَجْ‍‍رِي ‌إِلاَّ‌ عَلَى رَبِّ ‌الْعَالَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
F‍‍ā‍‍ttaqū A‍‍l-Lah‍‍a Wa 'Aţī`‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍i so fear Allah and obey me."[26.110]ف‍‍َاتَّقُوا ‌ال‍‍لَّهَ ‌وَ‌أَطِيع‍‍ُ‍ونِ
Qāl‍‍ū 'Anu'uminu Laka Wa A‍‍ttaba`aka A‍‍l-'Ar‍‍dh‍‍al‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a They replied: “Should we believe in you, whereas your followers are but the lowest of the low?”[26.111]قَالُ‍‍وا ‌أَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ ‌وَ‌اتَّبَعَكَ ‌الأَ‌رْ‌ذَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Wa Mā `Ilmī Bimā Kānū Ya`mal‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a He said: “I have no knowledge as to what they have been doing;[26.112]ق‍‍َالَ ‌وَمَا‌ عِلْمِي بِمَا‌ كَ‍انُوا يَعْمَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ
'In Ĥisābuhu‍‍m 'Illā `Alá Rabbī Law Ta‍‍sh‍‍`ur‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a their account is the concern of my Rabb, if you could use your common sense![26.113]‌إِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ ‌إِلاَّ‌ عَلَى رَبِّي لَوْ‌ تَشْعُر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
‌ Wa M‍‍ā 'Anā Biţā‍‍r‍‍idi A‍‍l-Mu'umin‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a I am not going to drive away any believer.[26.114]‌وَمَ‍ا أَنَا‌ بِطَا‌رِ‌دِ‌ ‌الْمُؤْمِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'In 'An‍‍ā 'Illā Na‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍r‍‍u‍‍n Mub‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍un I am nothing but a plain Warner."[26.115]‌إِنْ ‌أَنَ‍ا إِلاَّ‌ نَذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍رٌ مُب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نٌ
Qālū La'i‍‍n La‍‍m Ta‍‍n‍‍tahi Yā N‍‍ū‍‍ĥu Latakūna‍‍nn‍‍a Mina A‍‍l-Marjūm‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a They said: “O Nüh! If you do not stop, you shall be stoned to death."[26.116]قَالُوا لَئِ‍‍نْ لَمْ تَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍تَهِ‍ِ‍‌ يَان‍‍ُ‍وحُ لَتَكُونَ‍‍نَّ مِنَ ‌الْمَرْجُوم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Rabbi 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Qawmī Ka‍‍dh‍‍dh‍‍ab‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍i Nüh prayed: “O Rabb! My people have disobeyed me.[26.117]ق‍‍َالَ ‌رَبِّ ‌إِنَّ قَوْمِي كَذَّب‍‍ُ‍ونِ
Fāftaĥ Baynī Wa Baynahu‍‍m Fatĥāa‍‍n Wa Najjinī Wa Ma‍‍n Ma`ī Mina A‍‍l-Mu'umin‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Decide the case between me and them openly. Deliver me and the believers who are with me."[26.118]فَافْتَحْ بَيْنِي ‌وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحاً ‌وَنَجِّنِي ‌وَمَ‍‍نْ مَعِي مِنَ ‌الْمُؤْمِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Fa'a‍‍n‍‍jayn‍‍ā‍‍h‍‍u Wa Ma‍‍n Ma`ahu Fī A‍‍l-Fulki A‍‍l-Ma‍‍sh‍‍ĥ‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍i So We granted his prayer, delivered him and those with him in the laden ark,[26.119]فَأَ‌ن‍‍جَيْن‍‍َاهُُ‌وَمَ‍‍نْ مَعَهُُفِي ‌الْفُلْكِ ‌الْمَشْح‍‍ُ‍ونِ
Th‍‍u‍‍mm‍‍a 'A‍‍gh‍‍ra‍‍q‍‍nā Ba`du A‍‍l-Bāq‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a and drowned the rest in the flood.[26.120]ثُ‍‍مَّ ‌أَغْرَقْ‍‍نَا‌ بَعْدُ‌ ‌الْبَاق‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'I‍‍nn‍‍a Fī Dh‍‍ālika La'‍‍ā‍‍yata‍‍n Wa Mā K‍‍ā‍‍na 'Ak‍‍th‍‍aruhu‍‍m Mu'umin‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Surely in this story there is a great lesson, but most of these people do not learn a lesson and become believers.[26.121]‌إِنَّ فِي ‌ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً ‌وَمَا‌ ك‍‍َانَ ‌أَكْثَرُهُ‍‍مْ مُؤْمِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Rabbaka Lahuwa A‍‍l-`Az‍‍ī‍‍zu A‍‍r-Raĥ‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍u The fact is that your Rabb is the Mighty as well as the Merciful.[26.122]‌وَ‌إِنَّ ‌رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ‌الْعَز‍ِ‍ي‍‍زُ‌ ‌ال‍‍رَّح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مُ
Ka‍‍dh‍‍dh‍‍abat `‍‍Ā‍‍dun A‍‍l-Mursal‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a The people of 'Ad, too, disbelieved their Rasools.[26.123]كَذَّبَتْ ع‍‍َا‌دٌ ‌الْمُرْسَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'I‍‍dh Q‍‍ā‍‍la Lahu‍‍m 'A‍‍kh‍‍ūhu‍‍m H‍‍ū‍‍dun 'Alā Tattaq‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Remember when their brother Hüd asked them: “Have you no fear of Allah?[26.124]‌إِ‌ذْ‌ ق‍‍َالَ لَهُمْ ‌أَخُوهُمْ ه‍‍ُ‍و‌دٌ أَلاَ‌ تَتَّق‍‍ُ‍ونَ
'I‍‍nn‍‍ī Laku‍‍m Ras‍‍ū‍‍lun 'Am‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍un Rest assured that I am a trustworthy Rasool of Allah towards you.[26.125]‌إِنِّ‍‍ي لَكُمْ ‌رَس‍‍ُ‍ولٌ ‌أَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نٌ
F‍‍ā‍‍ttaqū A‍‍l-Lah‍‍a Wa 'Aţī`‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍i So fear Allah and obey me.[26.126]ف‍‍َاتَّقُوا ‌ال‍‍لَّهَ ‌وَ‌أَطِيع‍‍ُ‍ونِ
‌ Wa M‍‍ā 'As'aluku‍‍m `Alayhi Min 'A‍‍j‍‍r‍‍in 'In 'A‍‍j‍‍r‍‍ī 'Illā `Alá Rabbi A‍‍l-`Ālam‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a I do not ask you any reward for my services, for my reward will be given by the Rabb of the Worlds.[26.127]‌وَمَ‍ا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ ‌أَجْ‍‍ر‌‌ٍ ‌إِنْ ‌أَجْ‍‍رِي ‌إِلاَّ‌ عَلَى رَبِّ ‌الْعَالَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'Ata‍‍b‍‍n‍‍ū‍‍na Bikulli R‍‍ī‍‍`in '‍‍Ā‍‍yata‍‍n Ta`ba‍‍th‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Are you erecting a monument on every high place for fun?[26.128]‌أَتَ‍‍بْ‍‍ن‍‍ُ‍ونَ بِكُلِّ ‌ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍عٍ ‌آيَةً تَعْبَث‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa Tatta‍‍kh‍‍i‍‍dh‍‍ū‍‍na Maşāni`a La`allaku‍‍m Ta‍‍kh‍‍lud‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Are you building strong fortresses as if you are going to live here forever?[26.129]‌وَتَتَّخِذ‍ُ‍‌ونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُد‍ُ‍‌ونَ
‌ Wa 'I‍‍dh‍‍ā Baţa‍‍sh‍‍tu‍‍m Baţa‍‍sh‍‍tu‍‍m Jabbā‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Whenever you lay your hands on anyone, you act like cruel tyrants.[26.130]‌وَ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ بَطَشْتُ‍‍مْ بَطَشْتُمْ جَبَّا‌ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
F‍‍ā‍‍ttaqū A‍‍l-Lah‍‍a Wa 'Aţī`‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍i Have fear of Allah and obey me.[26.131]ف‍‍َاتَّقُوا ‌ال‍‍لَّهَ ‌وَ‌أَطِيع‍‍ُ‍ونِ
‌ Wa A‍‍ttaqū A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī 'Amaddaku‍‍m Bimā Ta`lam‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Fear the One Who has given you all the things that you know.[26.132]‌و‍َ‍‌اتَّقُوا ‌الَّذِي ‌أَمَدَّكُ‍‍مْ بِمَا‌ تَعْلَم‍‍ُ‍ونَ
'Amaddaku‍‍m Bi'an`‍‍ā‍‍mi‍‍n Wa Ban‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a He has given you flocks and children,[26.133]‌أَمَدَّكُ‍‍مْ بِأَنْع‍‍َامٍ ‌وَبَن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa Ja‍‍nn‍‍ā‍‍ti‍‍n Wa `Uy‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍in gardens and fountains.[26.134]‌وَجَ‍‍نّ‍‍َاتٍ ‌وَعُي‍‍ُ‍ونٍ
'I‍‍nn‍‍ī 'A‍‍kh‍‍ā‍‍fu `Alayku‍‍m `A‍‍dh‍‍ā‍‍ba Yawmin `Až‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍in Truly I fear for you the torment of a dreadful Day."[26.135]‌إِنِّ‍‍ي ‌أَخ‍‍َافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابَ يَوْمٍ عَظ‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٍ
Qālū Saw‍‍ā‍‍'un `Alayn‍‍ā 'Awa`ažta 'A‍‍m La‍‍m Taku‍‍n Mina A‍‍l-Wā`iž‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a They replied: “It is the same to us whether you preach us or you are not one of the preachers.[26.136]قَالُوا سَو‍َ‌اءٌ‌ عَلَيْنَ‍ا أَ‌وَعَظْتَ ‌أَمْ لَمْ تَكُ‍‍نْ مِنَ ‌الْوَ‌اعِظ‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'In Hā‍‍dh‍‍ā 'Illā Kh‍‍uluqu A‍‍l-'Awwal‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Such preaching is nothing but an ancient myth.[26.137]‌إِنْ هَذَ‌ا إِلاَّ‌ خُلُقُ ‌الأَ‌وَّل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa Mā Naĥnu Bimu`a‍‍dh‍‍dh‍‍ab‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a We are not going to be punished."[26.138]‌وَمَا‌ نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Faka‍‍dh‍‍dh‍‍ab‍‍ū‍‍h‍‍u Fa'ahlaknāhu‍‍m 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Fī Dh‍‍ālika La'‍‍ā‍‍yata‍‍n Wa Mā K‍‍ā‍‍na 'Ak‍‍th‍‍aruhu‍‍m Mu'umin‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a So they disbelieved him and We utterly destroyed them. Surely in this story there is a great lesson, but most of these people do not learn a lesson and become believers.[26.139]فَكَذَّب‍‍ُ‍وهُُفَأَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ ‌إِنَّ فِي ‌ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً ‌وَمَا‌ ك‍‍َانَ ‌أَكْثَرُهُ‍‍مْ مُؤْمِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Rabbaka Lahuwa A‍‍l-`Az‍‍ī‍‍zu A‍‍r-Raĥ‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍u The fact is that your Rabb is the Mighty as well as the Merciful.[26.140]‌وَ‌إِنَّ ‌رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ‌الْعَز‍ِ‍ي‍‍زُ‌ ‌ال‍‍رَّح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مُ
Ka‍‍dh‍‍dh‍‍aba‍‍t Th‍‍am‍‍ū‍‍du A‍‍l-Mursal‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a The people of Thamüd also disbelieved their Rasools.[26.141]كَذَّبَتْ ثَم‍‍ُ‍و‌دُ‌ ‌الْمُرْسَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'I‍‍dh Q‍‍ā‍‍la Lahu‍‍m 'A‍‍kh‍‍ūhu‍‍m Şāliĥun 'Alā Tattaq‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Remember when their brother Saleh asked them: “Have you no fear of Allah?[26.142]‌إِ‌ذْ‌ ق‍‍َالَ لَهُمْ ‌أَخُوهُمْ صَالِ‍‍حٌ ‌أَلاَ‌ تَتَّق‍‍ُ‍ونَ
'I‍‍nn‍‍ī Laku‍‍m Ras‍‍ū‍‍lun 'Am‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍un Rest assured that I am a trustworthy Rasool of Allah towards you.[26.143]‌إِنِّ‍‍ي لَكُمْ ‌رَس‍‍ُ‍ولٌ ‌أَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نٌ
F‍‍ā‍‍ttaqū A‍‍l-Lah‍‍a Wa 'Aţī`‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍i So fear Allah and obey me.[26.144]ف‍‍َاتَّقُوا ‌ال‍‍لَّهَ ‌وَ‌أَطِيع‍‍ُ‍ونِ
‌ Wa M‍‍ā 'As'aluku‍‍m `Alayhi Min 'A‍‍j‍‍r‍‍in 'In 'A‍‍j‍‍r‍‍iya 'Illā `Alá Rabbi A‍‍l-`Ālam‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a I do not ask you for any reward for my services, for my reward will be given by the Rabb of the Worlds.[26.145]‌وَمَ‍ا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ ‌أَجْ‍‍ر‌‌ٍ ‌إِنْ ‌أَجْ‍‍رِيَ ‌إِلاَّ‌ عَلَى رَبِّ ‌الْعَالَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'Atutrak‍‍ū‍‍na Fī Mā Hāhun‍‍ā '‍‍Ā‍‍min‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Will you be left in peace to enjoy all that you have here forever?[26.146]‌أَتُتْرَك‍‍ُ‍ونَ فِي مَا‌ هَاهُنَ‍ا آمِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Fī Ja‍‍nn‍‍ā‍‍ti‍‍n Wa `Uy‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍in Gardens and fountains,[26.147]فِي جَ‍‍نّ‍‍َاتٍ ‌وَعُي‍‍ُ‍ونٍ
‌ Wa Zur‍‍ū‍‍`i‍‍n Wa Na‍‍kh‍‍li‍‍n Ţal`uhā Hađ‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍un cornfields and palm-trees laden with juicy fruit,[26.148]‌وَ‌زُ‌ر‍ُ‍‌وعٍ ‌وَنَخْلٍ طَلْعُهَا‌ هَض‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٌ
‌ Wa Tanĥit‍‍ū‍‍na Mina A‍‍l-Jib‍‍ā‍‍li Buyūtāa‍‍n Fā‍‍r‍‍ih‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a carving your dwellings in the mountains and leading a happy life?[26.149]‌وَتَنْحِت‍‍ُ‍ونَ مِنَ ‌الْجِب‍‍َالِ بُيُوتاً فَ‍ا‌رِه‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
F‍‍ā‍‍ttaqū A‍‍l-Lah‍‍a Wa 'Aţī`‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍i Have fear of Allah and obey me.[26.150]ف‍‍َاتَّقُوا ‌ال‍‍لَّهَ ‌وَ‌أَطِيع‍‍ُ‍ونِ
‌ Wa Lā Tuţī`‍‍ū 'A‍‍m‍‍ra A‍‍l-Mus‍‍r‍‍if‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Do not follow the bidding of the extravagant,[26.151]‌وَلاَ‌ تُطِيعُ‍‍وا ‌أَمْرَ ‌الْمُسْ‍‍رِف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Al-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Yufsid‍‍ū‍‍na Fī A‍‍l-'Arđi Wa Lā Yuşliĥ‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a who create corruption in the land and reform nothing."[26.152]‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ يُفْسِد‍ُ‍‌ونَ فِي ‌الأَ‌رْضِ ‌وَلاَ‌ يُصْلِح‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Qāl‍‍ū 'I‍‍nn‍‍am‍‍ā 'A‍‍n‍‍ta Mina A‍‍l-Musaĥĥa‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a They replied: “You are but one of the bewitched![26.153]قَالُ‍‍وا ‌إِنَّ‍‍مَ‍ا أَ‌نْ‍‍تَ مِنَ ‌الْمُسَحَّ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
M‍‍ā 'A‍‍n‍‍ta 'Illā Ba‍‍sh‍‍aru‍‍n Mi‍‍th‍‍lunā Fa'ti Bi'‍‍ā‍‍yatin 'I‍‍n Ku‍‍n‍‍ta Mina A‍‍ş-Şādiq‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a You are no more than a human being like us. Bring forth a sign if you are one of the truthful."[26.154]مَ‍ا أَ‌نْ‍‍تَ ‌إِلاَّ‌ بَشَرٌ مِثْلُنَا‌ فَأْتِ بِآيَةٍ ‌إِ‌نْ كُ‍‌‍نْ‍‍تَ مِنَ ‌ال‍‍صَّا‌دِق‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Ha‍‍dh‍‍ihi Nāqatu‍‍n Lahā Sh‍‍i‍‍r‍‍bu‍‍n Wa Laku‍‍m Sh‍‍i‍‍r‍‍bu Yawmi‍‍n Ma`l‍‍ū‍‍m‍‍in Saleh said: “Well, here is the she-camel (the sign that you asked for). She shall have her share of water as you all have yours, each drinking on an alternate appointed day.[26.155]ق‍‍َالَ هَذِهِ‍ِ‍‌ نَاقَة ٌ لَهَا‌ شِرْبٌ ‌وَلَكُمْ شِرْبُ يَوْمٍ مَعْل‍‍ُ‍ومٍ
‌ Wa Lā Tamassūhā Bis‍‍ū‍‍'i‍‍n Faya'‍‍kh‍‍u‍‍dh‍‍aku‍‍m `A‍‍dh‍‍ā‍‍bu Yawmin `Až‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍in Do not touch her with evil, lest the punishment of a dreadful Day may overtake you."[26.156]‌وَلاَ‌ تَمَسُّوهَا‌ بِس‍‍ُ‍و‌ء‌‌ٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابُ يَوْمٍ عَظ‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٍ
Fa`aqarūhā Fa'aşbaĥū Nādim‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Yet they hamstrung her, then became full of regrets;[26.157]فَعَقَرُ‌وهَا‌ فَأَصْبَحُوا نَا‌دِم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Fa'a‍‍kh‍‍a‍‍dh‍‍ahumu A‍‍l-`A‍‍dh‍‍ā‍‍bu 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Fī Dh‍‍ālika La'‍‍ā‍‍yata‍‍n Wa Mā K‍‍ā‍‍na 'Ak‍‍th‍‍aruhu‍‍m Mu'umin‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a so the punishment overtook them. Surely in this story there is a great lesson, but most of these people do not learn a lesson and become believers.[26.158]فَأَخَذَهُمُ ‌الْعَذ‍َ‍‌ابُ ‌إِنَّ فِي ‌ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً ‌وَمَا‌ ك‍‍َانَ ‌أَكْثَرُهُ‍‍مْ مُؤْمِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Rabbaka Lahuwa A‍‍l-`Az‍‍ī‍‍zu A‍‍r-Raĥ‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍u The fact is that your Rabb is the Mighty as well as the Merciful.[26.159]‌وَ‌إِنَّ ‌رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ‌الْعَز‍ِ‍ي‍‍زُ‌ ‌ال‍‍رَّح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مُ
Ka‍‍dh‍‍dh‍‍abat Qawmu Lūţin A‍‍l-Mursal‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a The people of Lüt (Lot), also, disbelieved their Rasools.[26.160]كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ ل‍‍ُ‍وطٍ ‌الْمُرْسَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'I‍‍dh Q‍‍ā‍‍la Lahu‍‍m 'A‍‍kh‍‍ūhu‍‍m Lūţun 'Alā Tattaq‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Remember when their brother Lüt asked them: “Have you no fear of Allah?[26.161]‌إِ‌ذْ‌ ق‍‍َالَ لَهُمْ ‌أَخُوهُمْ ل‍‍ُ‍وطٌ ‌أَلاَ‌ تَتَّق‍‍ُ‍ونَ
'I‍‍nn‍‍ī Laku‍‍m Ras‍‍ū‍‍lun 'Am‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍un Rest assured that I am a trustworthy Rasool of Allah towards you.[26.162]‌إِنِّ‍‍ي لَكُمْ ‌رَس‍‍ُ‍ولٌ ‌أَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نٌ
F‍‍ā‍‍ttaqū A‍‍l-Lah‍‍a Wa 'Aţī`‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍i So fear Allah and obey me.[26.163]ف‍‍َاتَّقُوا ‌ال‍‍لَّهَ ‌وَ‌أَطِيع‍‍ُ‍ونِ
‌ Wa M‍‍ā 'As'aluku‍‍m `Alayhi Min 'A‍‍j‍‍r‍‍in 'In 'A‍‍j‍‍r‍‍iya 'Illā `Alá Rabbi A‍‍l-`Ālam‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a I do not ask you for any reward for my services, for my reward will be given by the Rabb of the Worlds.[26.164]‌وَمَ‍ا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ ‌أَجْ‍‍ر‌‌ٍ ‌إِنْ ‌أَجْ‍‍رِيَ ‌إِلاَّ‌ عَلَى رَبِّ ‌الْعَالَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'Ata't‍‍ū‍‍na A‍‍dh‍‍-‍‍Dh‍‍ukr‍‍ā‍‍na Mina A‍‍l-`Ālam‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Will you fornicate with males from among the creatures of the worlds[26.165]‌أَتَأْت‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌ال‍‍ذُّكْر‍َ‍‌انَ مِنَ ‌الْعَالَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa Ta‍‍dh‍‍ar‍‍ū‍‍na Mā Kh‍‍alaqa Laku‍‍m Rabbuku‍‍m Min 'Azwājiku‍‍m Bal 'A‍‍n‍‍tu‍‍m Qawmun `Ād‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a and leave those whom your Rabb has created for you to be your mates? Nay! You are a people who have transgressed all limits."[26.166]‌وَتَذَ‌ر‍ُ‍‌ونَ مَا‌ خَلَقَ لَكُمْ ‌رَبُّكُ‍‍مْ مِنْ ‌أَ‌زْ‌وَ‌اجِكُ‍‍مْ بَلْ ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍تُمْ قَوْمٌ عَا‌د‍ُ‍‌ونَ
Qālū La'i‍‍n La‍‍m Ta‍‍n‍‍tahi Yā L‍‍ū‍‍ţu Latakūna‍‍nn‍‍a Mina A‍‍l-Mu‍‍kh‍‍raj‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a They replied: “If you do not stop, O Lüt, you shall become one of the expelled."[26.167]قَالُوا لَئِ‍‍نْ لَمْ تَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍تَهِ‍ِ‍‌ يَا‌ ل‍‍ُ‍وطُ لَتَكُونَ‍‍نَّ مِنَ ‌الْمُخْرَج‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la 'I‍‍nn‍‍ī Li`amaliku‍‍m Mina A‍‍l-Qāl‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Lüt said: “I am certainly one of those who abhor your actions.[26.168]ق‍‍َالَ ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي لِعَمَلِكُ‍‍مْ مِنَ ‌الْقَال‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Rabbi Najjinī Wa 'Ahlī Mi‍‍mm‍‍ā Ya`mal‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a O Rabb! Deliver me and my family from their wicked deeds."[26.169]‌رَبِّ نَجِّنِي ‌وَ‌أَهْلِي مِ‍‍مَّ‍ا‌ يَعْمَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Fanajjayn‍‍ā‍‍h‍‍u Wa 'Ahlah‍‍u 'A‍‍j‍‍ma`‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a So We delivered him and all his family[26.170]فَنَجَّيْن‍‍َاهُُ‌وَ‌أَهْلَهُ‍‍~ُ ‌أَجْ‍‍مَع‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'Illā `Ajūzāa‍‍n A‍‍l-‍‍Gh‍‍ābi‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a except an old woman who was left among those who remained behind.[26.171]‌إِلاَّ‌ عَجُو‌ز‌اً فِي ‌الْغَابِ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Th‍‍u‍‍mm‍‍a Da‍‍mm‍‍arnā A‍‍l-'‍‍Ā‍‍kh‍‍a‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Then We utterly destroyed the rest.[26.172]ثُ‍‍مَّ ‌دَمَّ‍‍رْنَا‌ ‌الآخَ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa 'A‍‍m‍‍ţarnā `Alayhi‍‍m Maţarāa‍‍n Fas‍‍ā‍‍'a Maţaru A‍‍l-Mu‍‍n‍‍dh‍‍a‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a We rained down on them the rain of brimstones: and evil was the rain which fell on those who were forewarned.[26.173]‌وَ‌أَمْطَرْنَا‌ عَلَيْهِ‍‍مْ مَطَر‌اً فَس‍‍َا‌ءَ‌ مَطَرُ‌ ‌الْمُ‍‌‍ن‍‍ذَ‌ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'I‍‍nn‍‍a Fī Dh‍‍ālika La'‍‍ā‍‍yata‍‍n Wa Mā K‍‍ā‍‍na 'Ak‍‍th‍‍aruhu‍‍m Mu'umin‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Surely in this story there is a great lesson, but most of these people do not learn a lesson and become believers.[26.174]‌إِنَّ فِي ‌ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً ‌وَمَا‌ ك‍‍َانَ ‌أَكْثَرُهُ‍‍مْ مُؤْمِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Rabbaka Lahuwa A‍‍l-`Az‍‍ī‍‍zu A‍‍r-Raĥ‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍u The fact is that your Rabb is the Mighty as well as the Merciful.[26.175]‌وَ‌إِنَّ ‌رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ‌الْعَز‍ِ‍ي‍‍زُ‌ ‌ال‍‍رَّح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مُ
Ka‍‍dh‍‍dh‍‍aba 'Aşĥ‍‍ā‍‍bu A‍‍l-'Aykati A‍‍l-Mursal‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a The people of Aiykah, also, disbelieved their Rasools.[26.176]كَذَّبَ ‌أَصْح‍‍َابُ ‌الأَيْكَةِ ‌الْمُرْسَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'I‍‍dh Q‍‍ā‍‍la Lahu‍‍m Sh‍‍u`aybun 'Alā Tattaq‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Remember Shu‘aib asked them: “Have you no fear of Allah?[26.177]‌إِ‌ذْ‌ ق‍‍َالَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْبٌ ‌أَلاَ‌ تَتَّق‍‍ُ‍ونَ
'I‍‍nn‍‍ī Laku‍‍m Ras‍‍ū‍‍lun 'Am‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍un Rest assured that I am a trustworthy Rasool of Allah towards you.[26.178]‌إِنِّ‍‍ي لَكُمْ ‌رَس‍‍ُ‍ولٌ ‌أَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نٌ
F‍‍ā‍‍ttaqū A‍‍l-Lah‍‍a Wa 'Aţī`‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍i So fear Allah and obey me.[26.179]ف‍‍َاتَّقُوا ‌ال‍‍لَّهَ ‌وَ‌أَطِيع‍‍ُ‍ونِ
‌ Wa M‍‍ā 'As'aluku‍‍m `Alayhi Min 'A‍‍j‍‍r‍‍in 'In 'A‍‍j‍‍r‍‍iya 'Illā `Alá Rabbi A‍‍l-`Ālam‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a I do not ask you for any reward for my services, for my reward will be given by the Rabb of the Worlds.[26.180]‌وَمَ‍ا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ ‌أَجْ‍‍ر‌‌ٍ ‌إِنْ ‌أَجْ‍‍رِيَ ‌إِلاَّ‌ عَلَى رَبِّ ‌الْعَالَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'Awfū A‍‍l-Kayla Wa Lā Takūnū Mina A‍‍l-Mu‍‍kh‍‍si‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Give full measure and be not of those who cause losses to others by fraud.[26.181]‌أَ‌وْفُوا ‌الْكَيْلَ ‌وَلاَ‌ تَكُونُوا مِنَ ‌الْمُخْسِ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa Zinū Bil-Qisţ‍‍ā‍‍si A‍‍l-Mustaq‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍i Weigh with even scales[26.182]‌وَ‌زِنُوا بِ‍الْقِسْط‍‍َاسِ ‌الْمُسْتَق‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مِ
‌ Wa Lā Ta‍‍b‍‍kh‍‍asū A‍‍n‍‍-N‍‍ā‍‍sa 'A‍‍sh‍‍y‍‍ā‍‍'ahu‍‍m Wa Lā Ta`‍‍th‍‍aw Fī A‍‍l-'Arđi Mufsid‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a and do not cheat your fellow men of what is rightly theirs: nor spread evil in the land.[26.183]‌وَلاَ‌ تَ‍‍بْ‍‍خَسُوا ‌ال‍‍نّ‍‍َاسَ ‌أَشْيَا‌ءَهُمْ ‌وَلاَ‌ تَعْثَوْ‌ا‌ فِي ‌الأَ‌رْضِ مُفْسِد‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa A‍‍ttaqū A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī Kh‍‍alaqaku‍‍m Wa A‍‍l-Jibillata A‍‍l-'Awwal‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Fear Him Who has created you and the generations before you.”[26.184]‌و‍َ‍‌اتَّقُوا ‌الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ ‌وَ‌الْجِبِلَّةَ ‌الأَ‌وَّل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Qāl‍‍ū 'I‍‍nn‍‍am‍‍ā 'A‍‍n‍‍ta Mina A‍‍l-Musaĥĥa‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a They replied: “You are surely one of those who are bewitched.[26.185]قَالُ‍‍وا ‌إِنَّ‍‍مَ‍ا أَ‌نْ‍‍تَ مِنَ ‌الْمُسَحَّ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa M‍‍ā 'A‍‍n‍‍ta 'Illā Ba‍‍sh‍‍aru‍‍n Mi‍‍th‍‍lunā Wa 'I‍‍n Nažu‍‍nn‍‍uka Lamina A‍‍l-Kā‍‍dh‍‍ib‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a You are no more than a human being like us and we think that you are lying.[26.186]‌وَمَ‍ا أَ‌نْ‍‍تَ ‌إِلاَّ‌ بَشَرٌ مِثْلُنَا وَ‌إِنْ نَظُ‍‍نُّ‍‍كَ لَمِنَ ‌الْكَا‌ذِب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Fa'asqi‍‍ţ `Alaynā Kisafāa‍‍n Mina A‍‍s-Sam‍‍ā‍‍'i 'I‍‍n Ku‍‍n‍‍ta Mina A‍‍ş-Şādiq‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Let a fragment fall out of the sky on us if you are telling the Truth.”[26.187]فَأَسْقِ‍‍طْ عَلَيْنَا‌ كِسَفاً مِنَ ‌ال‍‍سَّم‍‍َا‌ءِ إِ‌نْ كُ‍‌‍نْ‍‍تَ مِنَ ‌ال‍‍صَّا‌دِق‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Rabb‍‍ī 'A`lamu Bimā Ta`mal‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Shu’aib said: “My Rabb has full knowledge of all your actions.”[26.188]ق‍‍َالَ ‌رَبِّ‍‍ي ‌أَعْلَمُ بِمَا‌ تَعْمَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Faka‍‍dh‍‍dh‍‍ab‍‍ū‍‍h‍‍u Fa'a‍‍kh‍‍a‍‍dh‍‍ahu‍‍m `A‍‍dh‍‍ā‍‍bu Yawmi A‍‍ž-Žullati 'I‍‍nn‍‍ahu K‍‍ā‍‍na `A‍‍dh‍‍ā‍‍ba Yawmin `Až‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍in So they disbelieved him, and the torment of the day of darkness (dark clouds carrying Allah's scourge) seized them, and indeed it was the torment of an extremely dreadful day.[26.189]فَكَذَّب‍‍ُ‍وهُُفَأَخَذَهُمْ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابُ يَوْمِ ‌ال‍‍ظُّلَّةِ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُُك‍‍َانَ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابَ يَوْمٍ عَظ‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٍ
'I‍‍nn‍‍a Fī Dh‍‍ālika La'‍‍ā‍‍yata‍‍n Wa Mā K‍‍ā‍‍na 'Ak‍‍th‍‍aruhu‍‍m Mu'umin‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Surely in this story there is a great lesson, but most of these people do not learn a lesson and become believers.[26.190]‌إِنَّ فِي ‌ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً ‌وَمَا‌ ك‍‍َانَ ‌أَكْثَرُهُ‍‍مْ مُؤْمِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Rabbaka Lahuwa A‍‍l-`Az‍‍ī‍‍zu A‍‍r-Raĥ‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍u The fact is that your Rabb is the Mighty as well as the Merciful.[26.191]‌وَ‌إِنَّ ‌رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ‌الْعَز‍ِ‍ي‍‍زُ‌ ‌ال‍‍رَّح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مُ
‌ Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍ah‍‍u Lata‍‍n‍‍z‍‍ī‍‍lu Rabbi A‍‍l-`Ālam‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Surely this Qur’an is a revelation from the Rabb of the Worlds.[26.192]‌وَ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُُلَتَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍ز‍ِ‍ي‍‍لُ ‌رَبِّ ‌الْعَالَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Nazala Bihi A‍‍r-R‍‍ū‍‍ĥu A‍‍l-'Am‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍u The trustworthy Spirit (Angel Gabriel) brought it down[26.193]نَزَلَ بِهِ ‌ال‍‍رّ‍ُ‍‌وحُ ‌الأَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نُ
`Alá Qalbika Litak‍‍ū‍‍na Mina A‍‍l-Mu‍‍n‍‍dh‍‍i‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a upon your heart so that you may become one of those who are appointed by Allah to warn the people[26.194]عَلَى‌ قَلْبِكَ لِتَك‍‍ُ‍ونَ مِنَ ‌الْمُ‍‌‍ن‍‍ذِ‌ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Bilis‍‍ā‍‍nin `Arab‍‍ī‍‍yi‍‍n Mub‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍in in a plain Arabic language.[26.195]بِلِس‍‍َانٍ عَرَبِيٍّ مُب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نٍ
‌ Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍ah‍‍u Lafī Zubu‍‍r‍‍i A‍‍l-'Awwal‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a This fact was foretold in the scriptures of the former people.[26.196]‌وَ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُُلَفِي ‌زُبُ‍‍رِ ‌الأَ‌وَّل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'Awala‍‍m Yaku‍‍n Lahu‍‍m '‍‍Ā‍‍yatan 'A‍‍n Ya`lamah‍‍u `Ulam‍‍ā‍‍'u Ban‍‍ī 'Isr‍‍ā‍‍'‍‍ī‍‍l‍‍a Is it not sufficient proof for the people that the learned men of the children of Israel knew about it?[26.197]‌أَ‌وَلَمْ يَكُ‍‍نْ لَهُمْ ‌آيَةً ‌أَنْ يَعْلَمَهُُعُلَم‍‍َا‌ءُ‌ بَنِ‍‍ي ‌إِسْرَ‌ائ‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍لَ
‌ Wa Law Nazzaln‍‍ā‍‍h‍‍u `Alá Ba`đi A‍‍l-'A`jam‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Even so that if We had revealed it to a non-Arab,[26.198]‌وَلَوْ‌ نَزَّلْن‍‍َاهُُعَلَى‌ بَعْضِ ‌الأَعْجَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Faqara'ah‍‍u `Alayhi‍‍m Mā Kānū Bih‍‍i Mu'umin‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a and he had recited it to them in fluent Arabic, they would still not have believed in it.[26.199]فَقَرَ‌أَهُُعَلَيْهِ‍‍مْ مَا‌ كَ‍انُوا بِهِ‍ِ‍‌ مُؤْمِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Ka‍‍dh‍‍ālika Salakn‍‍ā‍‍hu Fī Qul‍‍ū‍‍bi A‍‍l-Mu‍‍j‍‍r‍‍im‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a We have thus caused unbelief in the hearts of the guilty.[26.200]كَذَلِكَ سَلَكْن‍‍َاهُُفِي قُل‍‍ُ‍وبِ ‌الْمُ‍‍جْ‍‍رِم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Lā Yu'umin‍‍ū‍‍na Bihi Ĥattá Yaraw A‍‍l-`A‍‍dh‍‍ā‍‍ba A‍‍l-'Al‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍a They are not going to believe in it until they see the painful scourge[26.201]لاَ‌ يُؤْمِن‍‍ُ‍ونَ بِهِ‍ِ‍‌ حَتَّى‌ يَرَ‌وْ‌ا‌ ‌الْعَذ‍َ‍‌ابَ ‌الأَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مَ
Faya'tiyahu‍‍m Ba‍‍gh‍‍tata‍‍n Wa Hu‍‍m Lā Ya‍‍sh‍‍`ur‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a which, in their heedlessness, will come to them suddenly.[26.202]فَيَأْتِيَهُ‍‍مْ بَغْتَةً ‌وَهُمْ لاَ‌ يَشْعُر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
Fayaqūlū Hal Naĥnu Mu‍‍n‍‍žar‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Then they will ask: “Can we be given some respite?”[26.203]فَيَقُولُوا هَلْ نَحْنُ مُ‍‌‍ن‍‍ظَر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
'Afabi`a‍‍dh‍‍ābinā Yasta`jil‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Do they wish to hurry on Our scourge?[26.204]‌أَفَبِعَذَ‌ابِنَا‌ يَسْتَعْجِل‍‍ُ‍ونَ
'Afara'ayta 'I‍‍n Matta`nāhu‍‍m Sin‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Just think! If We let them enjoy this life for many years,[26.205]‌أَفَرَ‌أَيْتَ ‌إِنْ مَتَّعْنَاهُمْ سِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Th‍‍u‍‍mm‍‍a J‍‍ā‍‍'ahu‍‍m Mā Kānū Yū`ad‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a and then the scourge with which they are threatened falls upon them,[26.206]ثُ‍‍مَّ جَا‌ءَهُ‍‍مْ مَا‌ كَ‍انُوا يُوعَد‍ُ‍‌ونَ
M‍‍ā 'A‍‍gh‍‍n‍‍á `Anhu‍‍m Mā Kānū Yumatta`‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a of what avail will their past enjoyments be to them?[26.207]مَ‍ا أَغْنَى‌ عَنْهُ‍‍مْ مَا‌ كَ‍انُوا يُمَتَّع‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa M‍‍ā 'Ahlaknā Mi‍‍n Qaryatin 'Illā Lahā Mu‍‍n‍‍dh‍‍ir‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a The Qur'an is revealed in plain Arabic by Allah through angel Gabriel; those people who do not want to believe will not believe Never have We destroyed a population to whom We did not send Warners;[26.208]‌وَمَ‍ا أَهْلَكْنَا‌ مِ‍‌‍نْ قَرْيَةٍ ‌إِلاَّ‌ لَهَا‌ مُ‍‌‍ن‍‍ذِ‌ر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
Dh‍‍ikrá Wa Mā Ku‍‍nn‍‍ā Žālim‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a they were forewarned, and We have never been unjust.[26.209]‌ذِكْرَ‌ى وَمَا‌ كُ‍‍نَّ‍ا‌ ظَالِ‍‍م‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa Mā Tanazzalat Bihi A‍‍sh‍‍-‍‍Sh‍‍ayāţ‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍u This Qur’an is not brought down by the shaitمns:[26.210] ‌وَمَا‌ تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ ‌ال‍‍شَّيَاط‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نُ
‌ Wa Mā Ya‍n‍‍ba‍‍gh‍‍ī Lahu‍‍m Wa Mā Yastaţī`‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a it is neither in their interest nor in their power to produce such a masterpiece.[26.211]‌وَمَا‌ يَ‍‍نْ‍‍بَغِي لَهُمْ ‌وَمَا‌ يَسْتَطِيع‍‍ُ‍ونَ
'I‍‍nn‍‍ahu‍‍m `Ani A‍‍s-Sa‍‍m‍‍`i Lama`zūl‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a They are kept too far off to even hear it.[26.212]‌إِنَّ‍‍هُمْ عَنِ ‌ال‍‍سَّمْعِ لَمَعْزُ‌ول‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Falā Ta‍‍d‍‍`u Ma`a A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i 'Ilahāan '‍‍Ā‍‍kh‍‍ara Fatak‍‍ū‍‍na Mina A‍‍l-Mu`a‍‍dh‍‍dh‍‍ab‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a So do not call on other gods besides Allah, lest you become one of those who incur His punishment.[26.213]فَلاَ‌ تَ‍‍دْعُ مَعَ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ ‌إِلَهاً ‌آخَرَ‌ فَتَك‍‍ُ‍ونَ مِنَ ‌الْمُعَذَّب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa 'A‍‍n‍‍dh‍‍ir `A‍‍sh‍‍īrataka A‍‍l-'A‍‍q‍‍rab‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Admonish your close relatives[26.214]‌وَ‌أَ‌ن‍‍ذِ‌رْ‌ عَشِيرَتَكَ ‌الأَقْ‍‍رَب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa A‍‍kh‍‍fiđ Janāĥaka Limani A‍‍ttaba`aka Mina A‍‍l-Mu'umin‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a and lower your wing of kindness to those of the believers who follow you,[26.215]‌وَ‌اخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ ‌اتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ‌الْمُؤْمِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Fa'in `Aşawka Faqul 'I‍‍nn‍‍ī Ba‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍'u‍‍n Mi‍‍mm‍‍ā Ta`mal‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a but if they disobey, tell them: “I am not accountable for what you do."[26.216]فَإِنْ عَصَوْكَ فَقُلْ ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي بَ‍‍ر‍ِ‍يءٌ مِ‍‍مَّ‍ا‌ تَعْمَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa Tawakkal `Alá A‍‍l-`Az‍‍ī‍‍zi A‍‍r-Raĥ‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍i Put your trust in the All-Mighty, the Merciful,[26.217]‌وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى‌ ‌الْعَز‍ِ‍ي‍‍زِ‌ ‌ال‍‍رَّح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مِ
Al-La‍‍dh‍‍ī Yar‍‍ā‍‍ka Ĥ‍‍ī‍‍na Taq‍‍ū‍‍m‍‍u Who observes you when you get up[26.218]‌الَّذِي يَر‍َ‍‌اكَ ح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ تَق‍‍ُ‍ومُ
‌ Wa Taqallubaka Fī A‍‍s-Sājid‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a and when you walk among those who prostrate themselves in worship.[26.219]‌وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِي ‌ال‍‍سَّاجِد‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'I‍‍nn‍‍a‍‍hu Huwa A‍‍s-Sam‍‍ī‍‍`u A‍‍l-`Al‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍u He is the One Who hears all and knows all.[26.220]‌إِنَّ‍‍هُُهُوَ ‌ال‍‍سَّم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍عُ ‌الْعَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مُ
Hal 'Unabbi'uku‍‍m `Alá Ma‍‍n Tanazzalu A‍‍sh‍‍-‍‍Sh‍‍ayāţ‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍u shaitمns: it is neither in their interest nor in Shall I tell you, O people, on whom the shaitمns descend?[26.221]هَلْ ‌أُنَبِّئُكُمْ عَلَى‌ مَ‍‌‍نْ تَنَزَّلُ ‌ال‍‍شَّيَاط‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نُ
Tanazzalu `Alá Kulli 'Aff‍‍ā‍‍kin 'A‍‍th‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍in They descend on every slandering sinner,[26.222]تَنَزَّلُ عَلَى‌ كُلِّ ‌أَفّ‍‍َاكٍ ‌أَث‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٍ
Yulq‍‍ū‍‍na A‍‍s-Sa‍‍m‍‍`a Wa 'Ak‍‍th‍‍aruhu‍‍m Kā‍‍dh‍‍ib‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a those who listen to hearsay - and most of them are liars[26.223]يُلْق‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌ال‍‍سَّمْعَ ‌وَ‌أَكْثَرُهُمْ كَ‍ا‌ذِب‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Wa A‍‍sh‍‍-‍‍Sh‍‍u`ar‍‍ā‍‍'u Yattabi`uhumu A‍‍l-‍‍Gh‍‍āw‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a - and those poets who are followed by those who go astray.[26.224]‌وَ‌الشُّعَر‍َ‌اءُ‌ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ ‌الْغَا‌و‍ُ‍‌ونَ
'Ala‍‍m Tar‍‍á 'A‍‍nn‍‍ahu‍‍m Fī Kulli W‍‍ā‍‍di‍‍n Yahīm‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Do you not see, how aimlessly they wander in every valley,[26.225]‌أَلَمْ تَرَ‌ى‌ ‌أَنَّ‍‍هُمْ فِي كُلِّ ‌وَ‌ا‌د‌ٍ يَهِيم‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa 'A‍‍nn‍‍ahu‍‍m Yaqūl‍‍ū‍‍na Mā Lā Yaf`al‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a preaching what they do not practice themselves?[26.226]‌وَ‌أَنَّ‍‍هُمْ يَقُول‍‍ُ‍ونَ مَا‌ لاَ‌ يَفْعَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ
'Illā A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na '‍‍Ā‍‍manū Wa `Amilū A‍‍ş-Şāliĥ‍‍ā‍‍ti Wa Dh‍‍akarū A‍‍l-Lah‍‍a Ka‍‍th‍‍īrāa‍‍n Wa A‍‍n‍‍taşarū Mi‍n‍ Ba`di Mā Žulimū Wa Saya`lamu A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Žalam‍‍ū 'Ayya Mu‍‍n‍‍qalabi‍‍n Ya‍‍n‍‍qalib‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a However, an exception is made for those (poets) who believe, do good deeds, engage much in the remembrance of Allah and defend themselves when wronged, showing no vindictiveness. The unjust oppressors will soon find out what vicissitudes their affairs will take.[26.227]‌إِلاَّ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ‌آمَنُوا ‌وَعَمِلُوا ‌ال‍‍صَّالِح‍‍َاتِ ‌وَ‌ذَكَرُ‌وا ‌ال‍‍لَّهَ كَثِير‌اً ‌وَ‌ا‌ن‍‍تَصَرُ‌وا مِ‍‍نْ بَعْدِ‌ مَا‌ ظُلِمُوا ‌وَسَيَعْلَمُ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ظَلَمُ‍‍وا ‌أَيَّ مُ‍‌‍ن‍‍قَلَبٍ يَ‍‌‍ن‍‍قَلِب‍‍ُ‍ونَ
