If Allah wanted to send Rasools, He could have sent down angels, we have never heard such a thing as he says from our forefathers.[23.24]
'In Huwa 'Illā Rajulun Bihi Jinnatun Fatarabbaşū Bihi Ĥattá Ĥīnin Some of them said: He is just a madman, so bear with him for a while.[23.25]

Wa La'in 'Aţa`tum Basharāan Mithlakum 'Innakum 'Idhāan Lakhāsirūna If you obey a human like yourselves, you shall indeed be lost.[23.34]

'In Hiya 'Illā Ĥayātunā Ad-Dunyā Namūtu Wa Naĥyā Wa Mā Naĥnu Bimabthīna There is no other life but our life of this world: we live here and die here, and shall never be raised to life again.[23.37]
'In Huwa 'Illā Rajulun Aftará `Alá Al-Lahi Kadhibāan Wa Mā Naĥnu Lahu Bimu'uminīna This man is but an impostor, forging a lie against Allah, and we are not going to believe him.[23.38]
Qāla Rabbi Anşurnī Bimā Kadhdhabūni At this the Rasool prayed: O my Rabb! Help me against their calling me a liar.[23.39]
Qāla `Ammā Qalīlin Layuşbiĥunna Nādimīna Allah responded: After a short time they will surely be sorry.[23.40]

Thumma 'Ansha'nā Min Ba`dihim Qurūnāan 'Ākharīna After them We raised other generations[23.42]
Mā Tasbiqu Min 'Ummatin 'Ajalahā Wa Mā Yasta'khirūna - no people can hasten their term nor can they postpone it[23.43]
Thumma 'Arsalnā Rusulanā Tatrā Kulla Mā Jā'a 'Ummatan Rasūluhā Kadhdhabūhu Fa'atba`nā Ba`đahum Ba`đāan Wa Ja`alnāhum 'Aĥādītha Fabu`dāan Liqawmin Lā Yu'uminūna - and sent forth Our Rasools one after another: every time a Rasool came to his people, they disbelieved him, so We punished them one by one and made them a part of history; so gone is the nation of disbelievers.[23.44]
Thumma 'Arsalnā Mūsá Wa 'Akhāhu Hārūna Bi'āyātinā Wa Sulţānin Mubīnin Then We sent Musa (Moses) and his brother Haroon (Aaron) with Our signs and clear authority,[23.45]

Fakadhdhabūhumā Fakānū Mina Al-Muhlakīna So they disbelieved both of them and became among those who were destroyed.[23.48]
Wa Laqad 'Ātaynā Mūsá Al-Kitāba La`allahum Yahtadūna And We gave Musa the Book, so that his people might be rightly guided.[23.49]
Wa Ja`alnā Abna Maryama Wa 'Ummahu 'Āyatan Wa 'Āwaynāhumā 'Ilá Rabwatin Dhāti Qarārin Wa Ma`īnin And We made the son of Maryam (Jesus) and his mother a sign for mankind, and gave them a shelter on a peaceful lofty ground, furnished with a fresh spring.[23.50]
Yā 'Ayyuhā Ar-Rusulu Kulū Mina Aţ-Ţayyibāti Wa A`malū Şāliĥāan 'Innī Bimā Ta`malūna `Alīmun O Rasools! Eat of pure things and do good deeds, certainly I have knowledge of all your actions.[23.51]
Wa 'Inna Hadhihi 'Ummatukum 'Ummatan Wāĥidatan Wa 'Anā Rabbukum Fa Attaqūni In fact, your religion is one religion, and I am your only Rabb: so fear Me Alone.[23.52] ~

Wa Al-Ladhīna Yu'utūna Mā 'Ātaw Wa Qulūbuhum Wa Jilatun 'Annahum 'Ilá Rabbihim Rāji`ūna who give to charity whatever they can give, and their hearts are full of fear by the very idea that they shall have to return to their Rabb,[23.60]
'Ūlā'ika Yusāri`ūna Fī Al-Khayrāti Wa Hum Lahā Sābiqūna it is they who rush in doing good deeds and try to be the first in attaining them.[23.61]
Wa Lā Nukallifu Nafsāan 'Illā Wus`ahā Wa Ladaynā Kitābun Yanţiqu Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Hum Lā Yužlamūn We charge no soul with more than it can bear; We have a Book of record which shall clearly tell the truth, and they shall not be treated unjustly.[23.62]
Bal QulūbuhumGhamratin Min Hādhā Wa Lahum 'A`mālun Min Dūni Dhālika Hum Lahā `Āmilūna But their hearts are blind to all this; and their deeds are also different from the believers. They will continue doing their misdeeds[23.63]
Ĥattá 'Idhā 'Akhadhnā Mutrafīhim Bil-`Adhābi 'Idhā Hum Yaj'arūna until when We seize those of them who live in comfort with punishment; lo! Then they start crying for help in supplication.[23.64]

Mustakbirīna Bihi Sāmirāan Tahjurūna in arrogance, talking nonsense about The Quran like one telling fables by night.[23.67]
'Afalam Yaddabbarū Al-Qawla 'Am Jā'ahum Mā Lam Ya'ti 'Ābā'ahumu Al-'Awwalīna Do they not ponder over the Word of Allah or has anything new come to them which did not come to their forefathers?[23.68]
'Am Lam Ya`rifū Rasūlahum Fahum Lahu Munkirūna Or is it because they do not recognize their Rasool, who is a member of their own community, that they deny him?[23.69]
'Am Yaqūlūna Bihi Jinnatun Bal Jā'ahum Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa 'Aktharuhum Lilĥaqqi Kārihūna Or are they really convinced that he is a madman? Nay! In fact he has brought them the Truth and most of them dislike the Truth.[23.70]

Nay! We have given them their reminder, but they are heedless to their reminder.[23.71]
'Am Tas'aluhum Kharjāan Fakharāju Rabbika Khayrun Wa Huwa Khayru Ar-Rāziqīna Or is it that you are asking them for some recompense? But the recompense of your Rabb is the best, for He is the best provider of sustenance.[23.72]

Wa 'Inna Al-Ladhīna Lā Yu'uminūna Bil-'Ākhirati `Ani Aş-Şirāţi Lanākibūna and surely those who do not believe in the hereafter will ever stray from the Straight Way.[23.74]
Wa Law Raĥimnāhum Wa Kashafnā Mā Bihim Min Đurrin Lalajjū Fī Ţughyānihim Ya`mahūna If We show them mercy and relieve them of their affliction, they would obstinately persist in their rebellion, blindly wandering to and fro;[23.75]
Wa Laqad 'Akhadhnāhum Bil-`Adhābi Famā Astakānū Lirabbihim Wa Mā Yatađarra`ūna for even now, when We have inflicted punishment on them, they have neither submitted to their Rabb nor humbled themselves towards Him.[23.76]

Qul Man Biyadihi Malakūtu Kulli Shay'in Wa Huwa Yujīru Wa Lā Yujāru `Alayhi 'In Kuntum Ta`lamūn Say: In whose hands is the sovereignty of all things, protecting all, while against Him there is no protection? Tell me if you know.[23.88]
Sayaqūlūna Lillahi Qul Fa'annā Tusĥarūna Quickly they will reply: Allah. Ask them: Then how can you be so bewitched?[23.89]
Bal 'Ataynāhum Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa 'Innahum Lakādhibūna The fact of the matter is that We have brought them the Truth, and undoubtedly these people are liars.[23.90]
