Qad 'Aflaĥa A l-Mu'uminū na Indeed successful are those believers[23.1] قَد ْ أَفْلَحَ ا لْمُؤْمِنُو نَ
Al-Ladh ī na Hum Fī Şalātihim Kh āsh i`ū na who are humble in their Salah (prayers),[23.2] ا لَّذِي نَ هُمْ فِي صَلاَتِهِمْ خَاشِعُو نَ
Wa A l-Ladh ī na Hum `Ani A l-Lagh wi Mu`r iđū na who avoid vain talk,[23.3] وَا لَّذِي نَ هُمْ عَنِ ا ل لَّغْوِ مُعْر ِضُو نَ
Wa A l-Ladh ī na Hum Lilzzakāati Fā`ilū na who are punctual in the payment of Zakah (charity),[23.4] وَا لَّذِي نَ هُمْ لِلزَّكَا ةِ فَا عِلُو نَ
Wa A l-Ladh ī na Hum Lifurūjihim Ĥāfižū na who guard their private parts[23.5] وَا لَّذِي نَ هُمْ لِفُرُوجِهِمْ حَافِظُو نَ
'Illā `Alá 'Azwājihim 'W Mā Malakat 'Aymānuhum Fa'inn ahum Gh ayru Malūmī na except with their spouses or those who are legally in their possession, for in that case they shall not be blamed[23.6] إِلاَّ عَلَى أَزْوَاجِهِمْ أوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُمْ فَإِنَّ هُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُومِي نَ
Famani A b tagh á Warā 'a Dh ālika Fa'ū lā 'ika Humu A l-`Ādū na - however those who seek to go beyond that in lust are the ones who shall be the transgressors[23.7] فَمَنِ ا بْ تَغَى وَرَا ءَ ذَلِكَ فَأُ وْلَائِكَ هُمُ ا لْعَادُو نَ
Wa A l-Ladh ī na Hum Li'mānātihim Wa `Ahdihim Rā`ū na - who are true to their trust and covenants,[23.8] وَا لَّذِي نَ هُمْ لِأمَانَاتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رَاعُو نَ
Wa A l-Ladh ī na Hum `Alá Şalawātihim Yuĥāfižū na and who are diligent about their Salah (prayers).[23.9] وَا لَّذِي نَ هُمْ عَلَى صَلَوَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُو نَ
'Ū lā 'ika Humu A l-Wār ith ū na These are the heirs[23.10] أُ وْلَائِكَ هُمُ ا لْوَار ِثُو نَ
Al-Ladh ī na Yar ith ū na A l-Fir dawsa Hum Fīhā Kh ālidū na who will inherit paradise; and live therein forever.[23.11] ا لَّذِي نَ يَر ِثُو نَ ا لْفِرْدَوْسَ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُو نَ
Wa Laqad Kh alaq nā A l-'In sā na Min Sulālatin Min Ţī nin Characteristics of true believers Indeed We have created man from an essence of clay,[23.12] وَلَقَد ْ خَلَقْ نَا ا لإِن سَا نَ مِن ْ سُلاَلَةٍ مِن ْ طِي نٍ
Th umm a Ja`alnā hu Nuţ fatan Fī Qarā r in Makī nin then placed him as a drop of semen in a firm resting place,[23.13] ثُمّ َ جَعَلْنَا هُُنُطْ فَةً فِي قَرَا رٍ مَكِي نٍ
Th umm a Kh alaq nā A n -Nuţ fata `Alaqatan Fakh alaq nā A l-`Alaqata Muđgh atan Fakh alaq nā A l-Muđgh ata `Ižāmāan Fakasawnā A l-`Ižā ma Laĥmāan Th umm a 'An sh a'nā hu Kh alqāan 'Ā kh ara Fatabāraka A l-Lahu 'Aĥsanu A l-Kh āliqī na then changed the semen into a leechlike mass, then leechlike mass into a fetus lump, then fetus lump into bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought him forth as quite a different creature from the embryo - so blessed is Allah, the best of all creators.[23.14] ثُمّ َ خَلَقْ نَا ا ل نُّ طْ فَةَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقْ نَا ا لْعَلَقَةَ مُضْغَةً فَخَلَقْ نَا ا لْمُضْغَةَ عِظَاماً فَكَسَوْنَا ا لْعِظَا مَ لَحْماً ثُمّ َ أَن شَأْنَا هُُخَلْقاً آخَرَ فَتَبَارَكَ ا ل لَّهُ أَحْسَنُ ا لْخَالِقِي نَ
Th umm a 'Inn akum Ba`da Dh ālika Lamayyitū na Then after living for a while you shall all die,[23.15] ثُمّ َ إِنَّ كُم ْ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ لَمَيِّتُو نَ
Th umm a 'Inn akum Yawma A l-Qiyāmati Tub `ath ū na then most surely you shall be raised to life again on the Day of Resurrection.[23.16] ثُمّ َ إِنَّ كُمْ يَوْمَ ا لْقِيَامَةِ تُبْ عَثُو نَ
Wa Laqad Kh alaq nā Fawqakum Sab `a Ţarā 'iqa Wa Mā Kunn ā `Ani A l-Kh alqi Gh āfilī na We have made seven avenues (heavens) above you; and We are never unmindful of Our creation.[23.17] وَلَقَد ْ خَلَقْ نَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْ عَ طَرَائِقَ وَمَا كُنَّ ا عَنِ ا لْخَلْقِ غَافِلِي نَ
Wa 'An zalnā Mina A s-Samā 'i Mā 'an Biqadar in Fa'askann ā hu Fī A l-'Arđi Wa 'Inn ā `Alá Dh ahā bin Bihi Laqādirū na We send down water from the sky according to a due measure, then We cause it to settle in the soil - you should know that if We please, We can certainly take it away[23.18] وَأَن زَلْنَا مِنَ ا ل سَّمَا ءِ مَا ءً بِقَدَرٍ فَأَسْكَنّ َا هُُفِي ا لأَرْضِ وَإِنَّ ا عَلَى ذَهَا بٍ بِهِِ لَقَادِرُو نَ
Fa'an sh a'nā Lakum Bihi Jann ā tin Min Nakh ī lin Wa 'A`nā bin Lakum Fīhā Fawākihu Kath īratun Wa Minhā Ta'kulū na - then with it We cause to grow gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; yielding abundant fruit for you to eat,[23.19] فَأَن شَأْنَا لَكُم ْ بِهِِ جَنّ َا تٍ مِن ْ نَخِي لٍ وَأَعْنَا بٍ لَكُمْ فِيهَا فَوَاكِهُُكَثِيرَةٌ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُو نَ
Wa Sh ajaratan Takh ruju Min Ţū r i Saynā 'a Tan butu Bid-Duhni Wa Şib gh in Lil'ā kilī na and also a tree which grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish as a food for those who like to eat it.[23.20] وَشَجَرَةً تَخْرُجُ مِن ْ طُو ر ِ سَيْنَا ءَ تَنْ بُتُ بِا ل دُّهْنِ وَصِبْ غٍ لِلآكِلِي نَ
Wa 'Inn a Lakum Fī A l-'An`ā mi La`ib ratan Nusqīkum Mimm ā Fī Buţūnihā Wa Lakum Fīhā Manāfi`u Kath īratun Wa Minhā Ta'kulū na In cattle, too, there is a lesson for you: from within their bodies We produce milk for you to drink, besides this you gain numerous other benefits; some of them you eat,[23.21] وَإِنّ َ لَكُمْ فِي ا لأَنعَا مِ لَعِبْ رَةً نُسقِيكُم ْ مِمَّ ا فِي بُطُونِهَا وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَنَافِعُ كَثِيرَةٌ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُو نَ
Wa `Alayhā Wa `Alá A l-Fulki Tuĥmalū na yet on others as well as on ships you ride.[23.22] وَعَلَيْهَا وَعَلَى ا لْفُلْكِ تُحْمَلُو نَ
Wa Laqad 'Arsalnā Nūĥāan 'Ilá Qawmihi Faqā la Yā Qawmi A `budū A l-Laha Mā Lakum Min 'Ilahin Gh ayruhu 'Afalā Tattaqū na We sent Nüh (Noah) to his people. He said, “O my people! Worship Allah, you have no other god but Him, are you not afraid of Him for committing shirk?”[23.23] وَلَقَد ْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحاً إِلَى قَوْمِهِِ فَقَا لَ يَاقَوْمِ ا عْبُدُوا ا ل لَّهَ مَا لَكُم ْ مِن ْ إِلَهٍٍ غَيْرُهُ~ ُ أَفَلاَ تَتَّقُو نَ
Faqā la A l-Mala'u A l-Ladh ī na Kafarū Min Qawmihi Mā Hādh ā 'Illā Bash arun Mith lukum Yur ī du 'An Yatafađđala `Alaykum Wa Law Sh ā 'a A l-Lahu La'an zala Malā 'ikatan Mā Sami`nā Bihadh ā Fī 'Ā bā 'inā A l-'Awwalī na The chiefs of the unbelievers among his people said, “Nüh is but a human like you, he desires to assert his superiority over you. If Allah wanted to send Rasools, He could have sent down angels, we have never heard such a thing as he says from our forefathers.”[23.24] فَقَا لَ ا لْمَلَأُ ا لَّذِي نَ كَفَرُوا مِن ْ قَوْمِهِِ مَا هَذَا إِلاَّ بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ يُر ِي دُ أَن ْ يَتَفَضَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَوْ شَا ءَ ا ل لَّهُ لَأَن زَلَ مَلاَئِكَةً مَا سَمِعْنَا بِهَذَا فِي آبَائِنَا ا لأَوَّلِي نَ
'In Huwa 'Illā Rajulun Bihi Jinn atun Fatarabbaşū Bihi Ĥattá Ĥī nin Some of them said: “He is just a madman, so bear with him for a while.”[23.25] إِنْ هُوَ إِلاَّ رَجُلٌ بِهِِ جِنَّ ةٌ فَتَرَبَّصُوا بِهِِ حَتَّى حِي نٍ
Qā la Rabbi A n şurnī Bimā Kadh dh abū ni Nüh said, “O my Rabb! Help me against their calling me a liar.”[23.26] قَا لَ رَبِّ ا ن صُرْنِي بِمَا كَذَّبُو نِ
Fa'awĥaynā 'Ilayhi 'Ani A şna`i A l-Fulka Bi'a`yuninā Wa Waĥyinā Fa'idh ā Jā 'a 'Am runā Wa Fā ra A t-Tann ū ru Fāsluk Fīhā Min Kullin Zawjayni A th nayni Wa 'Ahlaka 'Illā Man Sabaqa `Alayhi A l-Qawlu Minhum Wa Lā Tukh āţib nī Fī A l-Ladh ī na Žalamū 'Inn ahum Mugh raqū na So We revealed Our will to him, saying: “Build an ark under our supervision according to Our instructions; and when Our judgement comes to pass and water wells out from 'At-Tannur', take aboard a pair (a male and a female) from every species and take your family, except those of them against whom the judgement has already been passed; and do not plead with Me in favor of the wrongdoers, for they are doomed to be drowned in the flood.[23.27] فَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْهِ أَنِ ا صْنَعِ ا لْفُلْكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَوَحْيِنَا فَإِذَا جَا ءَ أَمْرُنَا وَفَا رَ ا ل تَّنّ ُو رُ فَا سْلُكْ فِيهَا مِن ْ كُلٍّ زَوْجَيْنِ ا ثْنَيْنِ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلاَّ مَن ْ سَبَقَ عَلَيْهِ ا لْقَوْلُ مِنْهُمْ وَلاَ تُخَاطِبْ نِي فِي ا لَّذِي نَ ظَلَمُو ا إِنَّ هُم ْ مُغْرَقُو نَ
Fa'idh ā A stawayta 'An ta Wa Man Ma`aka `Alá A l-Fulki Faquli A l-Ĥam du Lillahi A l-Ladh ī Najjānā Mina A l-Qawmi A ž-Žālimī na Then when you have embarked on the ark with your companions, say: “Praise be to Allah Who has delivered us from the nation of wrongdoers,”[23.28] فَإِذَا ا سْتَوَيْتَ أَنْ تَ وَمَن ْ مَعَكَ عَلَى ا لْفُلْكِ فَقُلِ ا لْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ا لَّذِي نَجَّانَا مِنَ ا لْقَوْمِ ا ل ظَّالِمِي نَ
Wa Qul Rabbi 'An zilnī Mun zalāan Mubārakāan Wa 'An ta Kh ayru A l-Mun zilī na and pray, “O my Rabb! Bless my landing from this Ark, for You are the best to make my landing safe.”[23.29] وَقُلْ رَبِّ أَن زِلْنِي مُنْ زَلاً مُبَارَكاً وَأَنْ تَ خَيْرُ ا لْمُن زِلِي نَ
'Inn a Fī Dh ālika La'ā yā tin Wa 'In Kunn ā Lamub talī na There are many lessons in this story, and surely We do test people.[23.30] إِنّ َ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَا تٍ وَإِن ْ كُنَّ ا لَمُبْ تَلِي نَ
Th umm a 'An sh a'nā Min Ba`dihim Qarnāan 'Ā kh ar ī na Then We raised after them a new generation (the people of ‘Ad),[23.31] ثُمّ َ أَن شَأْنَا مِن ْ بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْن اً آخَر ِي نَ
Fa'arsalnā Fīhim Rasūlāan Minhum 'Ani A `budū A l-Laha Mā Lakum Min 'Ilahin Gh ayruhu 'Afalā Tattaqū na and sent to them a Rasool (Hüd) from among themselves, who said to them: “Worship Allah! You have no other god except Him. Will you not fear Him for committing shirk?”[23.32] فَأَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِمْ رَسُولاً مِنْهُمْ أَنِ ا عْبُدُوا ا ل لَّهَ مَا لَكُم ْ مِن ْ إِلَهٍٍ غَيْرُهُ~ ُ أَفَلاَ تَتَّقُو نَ
Wa Qā la A l-Mala'u Min Qawmihi A l-Ladh ī na Kafarū Wa Kadh dh abū Biliqā 'i A l-'Ā kh irati Wa 'Atrafnāhum Fī A l-Ĥayāati A d-Dun yā Mā Hādh ā 'Illā Bash arun Mith lukum Ya'kulu Mimm ā Ta'kulū na Minhu Wa Yash rabu Mimm ā Tash rabū na But the chiefs of his people - who disbelieved the message and denied the life in the hereafter, - on whom We had bestowed affluence in this worldly life, said: “This person is but a human like you; he eats of what you eat and drinks of what you drink.[23.33] وَقَا لَ ا لْمَلَأُ مِن ْ قَوْمِهِ ا لَّذِي نَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِلِقَا ءِ ا لآخِرَةِ وَأَتْرَفْنَاهُمْ فِي ا لْحَيَا ةِ ا ل دُّنْ يَا مَا هَذَا إِلاَّ بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ يَأْكُلُ مِمَّ ا تَأْكُلُو نَ مِنْهُ وَيَشْرَبُ مِمَّ ا تَشْرَبُو نَ
Wa La'in 'Aţa`tum Bash arāan Mith lakum 'Inn akum 'Idh āan Lakh āsirū na If you obey a human like yourselves, you shall indeed be lost.[23.34] وَلَئِنْ أَطَعْتُم ْ بَشَراً مِثْلَكُمْ إِنَّ كُمْ إِذاً لَخَاسِرُو نَ
'Aya`idukum 'Ann akum 'Idh ā Mittum Wa Kun tum Turābāan Wa `Ižāmāan 'Ann akum Mukh rajū na What! Does he claim that when you are dead and turned into dust and bones, you will be brought to life out of your graves?[23.35] أَيَعِدُكُمْ أَنَّ كُمْ إِذَا مِتُّمْ وَكُن تُمْ تُرَاباً وَعِظَاماً أَنَّ كُم ْ مُخْرَجُو نَ
Hayhā ta Hayhā ta Limā Tū`adū na Impossible! Just impossible is that with which you are being threatened![23.36] هَيْهَا تَ هَيْهَا تَ لِمَا تُوعَدُو نَ
'In Hiya 'Illā Ĥayātunā A d-Dun yā Namū tu Wa Naĥyā Wa Mā Naĥnu Bimab `ūth ī na There is no other life but our life of this world: we live here and die here, and shall never be raised to life again.[23.37] إِنْ هِيَ إِلاَّ حَيَاتُنَا ا ل دُّنْ يَا نَمُو تُ وَنَحْيَا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْ عُوثِي نَ
'In Huwa 'Illā Rajulun A ftará `Alá A l-Lahi Kadh ibāan Wa Mā Naĥnu Lahu Bimu'uminī na This man is but an impostor, forging a lie against Allah, and we are not going to believe him.”[23.38] إِنْ هُوَ إِلاَّ رَجُلٌ ا فْتَرَى عَلَى ا ل لَّهِ كَذِباً وَمَا نَحْنُ لَهُُبِمُؤْمِنِي نَ
Qā la Rabbi A n şurnī Bimā Kadh dh abū ni At this the Rasool prayed: “O my Rabb! Help me against their calling me a liar.”[23.39] قَا لَ رَبِّ ا ن صُرْنِي بِمَا كَذَّبُو نِ
Qā la `Amm ā Qalī lin Layuşbiĥunn a Nādimī na Allah responded: “After a short time they will surely be sorry.”[23.40] قَا لَ عَمَّ ا قَلِي لٍ لَيُصْبِحُنّ َ نَادِمِي نَ
Fa'akh adh at/humu A ş-Şayĥatu Bil-Ĥaqqi Faja`alnāhum Gh uth ā 'an Fabu`dāan Lilqawmi A ž-Žālimī na So the Blast overtook them in all justice and We swept them away like the rubbish of dead leaves - so gone is the nation of wrongdoers.[23.41] فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ا ل صَّيْحَةُ بِا لْحَقِّ فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ غُثَا ءً فَبُعْداً لِلْقَوْمِ ا ل ظَّالِمِي نَ
Th umm a 'An sh a'nā Min Ba`dihim Qurūnāan 'Ā kh ar ī na After them We raised other generations[23.42] ثُمّ َ أَن شَأْنَا مِن ْ بَعْدِهِمْ قُرُون اً آخَر ِي نَ
Mā Tasbiqu Min 'Umm atin 'Ajalahā Wa Mā Yasta'kh irū na - no people can hasten their term nor can they postpone it[23.43] مَا تَسْبِقُ مِنْ أُمَّ ةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسْتَأْخِرُو نَ
Th umm a 'Arsalnā Rusulanā Tatrā Kulla Mā Jā 'a 'Umm atan Rasūluhā Kadh dh abū hu Fa'atba`nā Ba`đahum Ba`đāan Wa Ja`alnāhum 'Aĥādīth a Fabu`dāan Liqawmin Lā Yu'uminū na - and sent forth Our Rasools one after another: every time a Rasool came to his people, they disbelieved him, so We punished them one by one and made them a part of history; so gone is the nation of disbelievers.[23.44] ثُمّ َ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا تَتْرَا كُلَّ مَا جَا ءَ أُمَّ ة ً رَسُولُهَا كَذَّبُو هُُفَأَتْبَعْنَا بَعْضَهُم ْ بَعْضاً وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَحَادِي ثَ فَبُعْداً لِقَوْمٍ لاَ يُؤْمِنُو نَ
Th umm a 'Arsalnā Mūsá Wa 'Akh ā hu Hārū na Bi'ā yātinā Wa Sulţā nin Mubī nin Then We sent Musa (Moses) and his brother Haroon (Aaron) with Our signs and clear authority,[23.45] ثُمّ َ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَى وَأَخَا هُُهَارُو نَ بِآيَاتِنَا وَسُلْطَا نٍ مُبِي نٍ
'Ilá Fir `awna Wa Mala'ihi Fāstakbarū Wa Kānū Qawmāan `Ālī na to Fir'on (Pharaoh) and his chiefs: but they received them with arrogance for they were very haughty people.[23.46] إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِِ فَا سْتَكْبَرُوا وَكَانُوا قَوْماً عَال ِي نَ
Faqālū 'Anu'uminu Libash arayni Mith linā Wa Qawmuhumā Lanā `Ābidū na They said: “What! Should we believe in two human beings like ourselves, and whose people are our slaves?”[23.47] فَقَالُو ا أَنُؤْمِنُ لِبَشَرَيْنِ مِثْلِنَا وَقَوْمُهُمَا لَنَا عَابِدُو نَ
Fakadh dh abūhumā Fakānū Mina A l-Muhlakī na So they disbelieved both of them and became among those who were destroyed.[23.48] فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَكَانُوا مِنَ ا لْمُهْلَكِي نَ
Wa Laqad 'Ā taynā Mūsá A l-Kitā ba La`allahum Yahtadū na And We gave Musa the Book, so that his people might be rightly guided.[23.49] وَلَقَد ْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى ا لْكِتَا بَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُو نَ
Wa Ja`alnā A b na Maryama Wa 'Umm ahu 'Ā yatan Wa 'Ā waynāhumā 'Ilá Rab watin Dh ā ti Qarā r in Wa Ma`ī nin And We made the son of Maryam (Jesus) and his mother a sign for mankind, and gave them a shelter on a peaceful lofty ground, furnished with a fresh spring.[23.50] وَجَعَلْنَا ا بْ نَ مَرْيَمَ وَأُمَّ هُ آيَةً وَآوَيْنَاهُمَا إِلَى رَبْ وَةٍ ذَا تِ قَرَا رٍ وَمَعِي نٍ
Yā 'Ayyuhā A r-Rusulu Kulū Mina A ţ -Ţayyibā ti Wa A `malū Şāliĥāan 'Inn ī Bimā Ta`malū na `Alī mun O Rasools! Eat of pure things and do good deeds, certainly I have knowledge of all your actions.[23.51] يَا أَيُّهَا ا ل رُّسُلُ كُلُوا مِنَ ا ل طَّيِّبَا تِ وَاعْمَلُوا صَالِ حاً إِنِّ ي بِمَا تَعْمَلُو نَ عَلِي مٌ
Wa 'Inn a Hadh ihi 'Umm atukum 'Umm atan Wāĥidatan Wa 'Anā Rabbukum Fa A ttaqū ni In fact, your religion is one religion, and I am your only Rabb: so fear Me Alone.[23.52] وَإِنّ َ هَذِهِ أُمَّ تُكُمْ أُمَّ ةً وَاحِدَةً وَأَنَا رَبُّكُمْ فَا تَّقُو نِ
Fataqaţţa`ū 'Am rahum Baynahum Zuburāan Kullu Ĥizbin Bimā Ladayhim Far iĥū na Yet people have divided themselves into factions and each faction rejoices in its own doctrines[23.53] فَتَقَطَّعُو ا أَمْرَهُم ْ بَيْنَهُمْ زُبُراً كُلُّ حِزْبٍ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَر ِحُو نَ
Fadh arhum Fī Gh am ratihim Ĥattá Ĥī nin - well! Leave them in their heedlessness for an appointed time.[23.54] فَذَرْهُمْ فِي غَمْرَتِهِمْ حَتَّى حِي نٍ
'Ayaĥsabū na 'Ann amā Numidduhum Bihi Min Mā lin Wa Banī na Do they think that, in giving them wealth and children,[23.55] أَيَحْسَبُو نَ أَنَّ مَا نُمِدُّهُم ْ بِهِِ مِن ْ مَا لٍ وَبَنِي نَ
Nusār i`u Lahum Fī A l-Kh ayrā ti Bal Lā Yash `urū na We are eager for their welfare? By no means! They do not understand the reality of the matter.[23.56] نُسَار ِعُ لَهُمْ فِي ا لْخَيْرَا تِ بَل لاَ يَشْعُرُو نَ
'Inn a A l-Ladh ī na Hum Min Kh ash yati Rabbihim Mush fiqū na Surely those who live cautiously for fear of their Rabb,[23.57] إِنّ َ ا لَّذِي نَ هُم ْ مِنْ خَشْيَةِ رَبِّهِم ْ مُشْفِقُو نَ
Wa A l-Ladh ī na Hum Bi'ā yā ti Rabbihim Yu'uminū na who believe in the revelations of their Rabb;[23.58] وَا لَّذِي نَ هُم ْ بِآيَا تِ رَبِّهِمْ يُؤْمِنُو نَ
Wa A l-Ladh ī na Hum Birabbihim Lā Yush r ikū na who do not commit shirk with their Rabb,[23.59] وَا لَّذِي نَ هُم ْ بِرَبِّهِمْ لاَ يُشْر ِكُو نَ
Wa A l-Ladh ī na Yu'utū na Mā 'Ā taw Wa Qulūbuhum Wa Jilatun 'Ann ahum 'Ilá Rabbihim Rāji`ū na who give to charity whatever they can give, and their hearts are full of fear by the very idea that they shall have to return to their Rabb,[23.60] وَا لَّذِي نَ يُؤْتُو نَ مَا آتَوا وَقُلُوبُهُمْ وَجِلَةٌ أَنَّ هُمْ إِلَى رَبِّهِمْ رَاجِعُو نَ
'Ū lā 'ika Yusār i`ū na Fī A l-Kh ayrā ti Wa Hum Lahā Sābiqū na it is they who rush in doing good deeds and try to be the first in attaining them.[23.61] أُ وْلَائِكَ يُسَار ِعُو نَ فِي ا لْخَيْرَا تِ وَهُمْ لَهَا سَابِقُو نَ
Wa Lā Nukallifu Nafsāan 'Illā Wus`ahā Wa Ladaynā Kitā bun Yan ţiqu Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Hum Lā Yužlamūn We charge no soul with more than it can bear; We have a Book of record which shall clearly tell the truth, and they shall not be treated unjustly.[23.62] وَلاَ نُكَلِّفُ نَفْساً إِلاَّ وُسْعَهَا وَلَدَيْنَا كِتَا بٌ يَن طِقُ بِا لْحَقِّ وَهُمْ لاَ يُظْلَمُون
Bal Qulūbuhum Fī Gh am ratin Min Hādh ā Wa Lahum 'A`mā lun Min Dū ni Dh ālika Hum Lahā `Āmilū na But their hearts are blind to all this; and their deeds are also different from the believers. They will continue doing their misdeeds[23.63] بَلْ قُلُوبُهُمْ فِي غَمْرَةٍ مِنْ هَذَا وَلَهُمْ أَعْمَا لٌ مِن ْ دُو نِ ذَلِكَ هُمْ لَهَا عَامِلُو نَ
Ĥattá 'Idh ā 'Akh adh nā Mutrafīhim Bil-`Adh ā bi 'Idh ā Hum Yaj 'arū na until when We seize those of them who live in comfort with punishment; lo! Then they start crying for help in supplication.[23.64] حَتَّى إِذَا أَخَذْنَا مُتْرَفِيهِم ْ بِا لْعَذَا بِ إِذَا هُمْ يَجْ أَرُو نَ
Lā Taj 'arū A l-Yawma 'Inn akum Minn ā Lā Tun şarū na We shall say: “Do not cry for help this Day, for surely from Us you shall receive no help.[23.65] لاَ تَجْ أَرُوا ا لْيَوْمَ إِنَّ كُم ْ مِنَّ ا لاَ تُن صَرُو نَ
Qad Kānat 'Ā yātī Tutlá `Alaykum Fakun tum `Alá 'A`qābikum Tan kişū na My revelations were recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels[23.66] قَد ْ كَا نَتْ آيَاتِي تُتْلَى عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُن تُمْ عَلَى أَعْقَابِكُمْ تَن كِصُو نَ
Mustakbir ī na Bihi Sāmirāan Tahjurū na in arrogance, talking nonsense about The Qur’an like one telling fables by night.[23.67] مُسْتَكْبِر ِي نَ بِهِِ سَامِراً تَهْجُرُو نَ
'Afalam Yaddabbarū A l-Qawla 'Am Jā 'ahum Mā Lam Ya'ti 'Ā bā 'ahumu A l-'Awwalī na Do they not ponder over the Word of Allah or has anything new come to them which did not come to their forefathers?[23.68] أَفَلَمْ يَدَّبَّرُوا ا لْقَوْلَ أَمْ جَاءَهُم ْ مَا لَمْ يَأْتِ آبَاءَهُمُ ا لأَوَّلِي نَ
'Am Lam Ya`r ifū Rasūlahum Fahum Lahu Mun kirū na Or is it because they do not recognize their Rasool, who is a member of their own community, that they deny him?[23.69] أَمْ لَمْ يَعْر ِفُوا رَسُولَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَهُُمُن كِرُو نَ
'Am Yaqūlū na Bihi Jinn atun Bal Jā 'ahum Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa 'Akth aruhum Lilĥaqqi Kār ihū na Or are they really convinced that he is a madman? Nay! In fact he has brought them the Truth and most of them dislike the Truth.[23.70] أَمْ يَقُولُو نَ بِهِِ جِنَّ ةٌ بَلْ جَاءَهُم ْ بِا لْحَقِّ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ لِلْحَقِّ كَا ر ِهُو نَ
Wa Lawi A ttaba`a A l-Ĥaqqu 'Ahwā 'ahum Lafasadati A s-Samāwā tu Wa A l-'Arđu Wa Man Fīhinn a Bal 'Ataynāhum Bidh ikr ihim Fahum `An Dh ikr ihim Mu`r iđū na - Had the Truth followed their appetites, the heavens, the earth and everything therein would have been disrupted. Nay! We have given them their reminder, but they are heedless to their reminder.[23.71] وَلَوِ ا تَّبَعَ ا لْحَقُّ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ لَفَسَدَتِ ا ل سَّمَاوَا تُ وَالأَرْضُ وَمَن ْ فِيهِنّ َ بَلْ أَتَيْنَاهُم ْ بِذِكْر ِهِمْ فَهُمْ عَن ْ ذِكْر ِهِم ْ مُعْر ِضُو نَ
'Am Tas'aluhum Kh arjāan Fakh arā ju Rabbika Kh ayrun Wa Huwa Kh ayru A r-Rāziqī na Or is it that you are asking them for some recompense? But the recompense of your Rabb is the best, for He is the best provider of sustenance.[23.72] أَمْ تَسْأَلُهُمْ خَرْجاً فَخَرَا جُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ ا ل رَّازِقِي نَ
Wa 'Inn aka Latad `ūhum 'Ilá Şirāţin Mustaqī min As a matter of fact, you (O Muhammad) are calling them to the Straight Way;[23.73] وَإِنَّ كَ لَتَد ْعُوهُمْ إِلَى صِرَا طٍ مُسْتَقِي مٍ
Wa 'Inn a A l-Ladh ī na Lā Yu'uminū na Bil-'Ā kh irati `Ani A ş-Şirā ţi Lanākibū na and surely those who do not believe in the hereafter will ever stray from the Straight Way.[23.74] وَإِنّ َ ا لَّذِي نَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُو نَ بِا لآخِرَةِ عَنِ ا ل صِّرَا طِ لَنَاكِبُو نَ
Wa Law Raĥim nāhum Wa Kash afnā Mā Bihim Min Đurr in Lalajjū Fī Ţugh yānihim Ya`mahū na If We show them mercy and relieve them of their affliction, they would obstinately persist in their rebellion, blindly wandering to and fro;[23.75] وَلَوْ رَحِمْنَاهُمْ وَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِم ْ مِن ْ ضُرٍّ لَلَجُّوا فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُو نَ
Wa Laqad 'Akh adh nāhum Bil-`Adh ā bi Famā A stakānū Lirabbihim Wa Mā Yatađarra`ū na for even now, when We have inflicted punishment on them, they have neither submitted to their Rabb nor humbled themselves towards Him.[23.76] وَلَقَد ْ أَخَذْنَاهُم ْ بِا لْعَذَا بِ فَمَا ا سْتَكَانُوا لِرَبِّهِمْ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُو نَ
Ĥattá 'Idh ā Fataĥnā `Alayhim Bābāan Dh ā `Adh ā bin Sh adī din 'Idh ā Hum Fī hi Mub lisū na Until when We open upon them a gate of severe punishment, you will see that they are plunged in utter despair.[23.77] حَتَّى إِذَا فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِم ْ بَاباً ذَا عَذَا بٍ شَدِي دٍ إِذَا هُمْ فِي هِِ مُبْ لِسُو نَ
Wa Huwa A l-Ladh ī 'An sh a'a Lakumu A s-Sam `a Wa A l-'Ab şā ra Wa A l-'Af'idata Qalīlāan Mā Tash kurū na It is Allah Who has given you ears, eyes and hearts - yet seldom you show gratitude[23.78] وَهُوَ ا لَّذِي أَن شَأَ لَكُمُ ا ل سَّمْعَ وَالأَبْ صَا رَ وَالأَفْئِدَةَ قَلِيلاً مَا تَشْكُرُو نَ
Wa Huwa A l-Ladh ī Dh ara'akum Fī A l-'Arđi Wa 'Ilayhi Tuĥsh arū na - it is He Who has placed you in the earth and before Him you shall all be assembled on the Day of Judgement.[23.79] وَهُوَ ا لَّذِي ذَرَأَكُمْ فِي ا لأَرْضِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُو نَ
Wa Huwa A l-Ladh ī Yuĥyī Wa Yumī tu Wa Lahu A kh tilā fu A l-Layli Wa A n -Nahā r i 'Afalā Ta`qilū na It is He Who gives life and cause you to die, and in His control is the alternation of the night and the day: then why don’t you understand?[23.80] وَهُوَ ا لَّذِي يُحْيِي وَيُمِي تُ وَلَهُ ا خْتِلاَفُ ا ل لَّيْلِ وَال نَّ هَا ر ِ أَفَلاَ تَعْقِلُو نَ
Bal Qālū Mith la Mā Qā la A l-'Awwalū na On the contrary they just say what their forefathers said before them,[23.81] بَلْ قَالُ وا مِثْلَ مَا قَا لَ ا لأَوَّلُو نَ
Qālū 'A'idh ā Mitnā Wa Kunn ā Turābāan Wa `Ižāmāan 'A'inn ā Lamab `ūth ū na who said: “What! After death when our bodies become dust and bones, could we really be raised to life again?[23.82] قَالُو ا أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّ ا تُرَاباً وَعِظَاماً أَئِنَّ ا لَمَبْ عُوثُو نَ
Laqad Wu`id nā Naĥnu Wa 'Ā bā 'uunā Hādh ā Min Qab lu 'In Hādh ā 'Illā 'Asāţī r u A l-'Awwalī na We have heard many such threats and so did our forefathers before us. These are nothing but legends of primitive people.”[23.83] لَقَد ْ وُعِد ْنَا نَحْنُ وَآبَاؤُنَا هَذَا مِن ْ قَبْ لُ إِنْ هَذَا إِلاَّ أَسَاطِي ر ُا لأَوَّلِي نَ
Qul Limani A l-'Arđu Wa Man Fīhā 'In Kun tum Ta`lamū na Say: “To whom belongs the earth and everything therein? Tell me if you know?”[23.84] قُل ْ لِمَنِ ا لأَرْضُ وَمَن ْ فِيهَا إِن ْ كُن تُمْ تَعْلَمُو نَ
Sayaqūlū na Lillahi Qul 'Afalā Tadh akkarū na They will promptly reply: “to Allah!” Ask them: “Then why you do not use your common sense and believe in Him?”[23.85] سَيَقُولُو نَ لِلَّهِ قُلْ أَفَلاَ تَذَكَّرُو نَ
Qul Man Rabbu A s-Samāwā ti A s-Sab `i Wa Rabbu A l-`Arsh i A l-`Ažī mi Say: “Who is the Rabb of the seven heavens and the Rabb of the Glorious Throne?”[23.86] قُلْ مَن ْ رَبُّ ا ل سَّمَاوَا تِ ا ل سَّبْ عِ وَرَبُّ ا لْعَرْشِ ا لْعَظِي مِ
Sayaqūlū na Lillahi Qul 'Afalā Tattaqū na Right away they will say: “Allah.” Ask them: “Then why you do not fear Him?”[23.87] سَيَقُولُو نَ لِلَّهِ قُلْ أَفَلاَ تَتَّقُو نَ
Qul Man Biyadihi Malakū tu Kulli Sh ay'in Wa Huwa Yujī r u Wa Lā Yujā ru `Alayhi 'In Kun tum Ta`lamūn Say: “In whose hands is the sovereignty of all things, protecting all, while against Him there is no protection? Tell me if you know.”[23.88] قُلْ مَن ْ بِيَدِهِِ مَلَكُو تُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ يُجِي ر ُوَلاَ يُجَا رُ عَلَيْهِ إِن ْ كُن تُمْ تَعْلَمُون
Sayaqūlū na Lillahi Qul Fa'ann ā Tusĥarū na Quickly they will reply: “Allah.” Ask them: “Then how can you be so bewitched?”[23.89] سَيَقُولُو نَ لِلَّهِ قُلْ فَأَنَّ ا تُسْحَرُو نَ
Bal 'Ataynāhum Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa 'Inn ahum Lakādh ibū na The fact of the matter is that We have brought them the Truth, and undoubtedly these people are liars.[23.90] بَلْ أَتَيْنَاهُم ْ بِا لْحَقِّ وَإِنَّ هُمْ لَكَاذِبُو نَ
Mā A ttakh adh a A l-Lahu Min Waladin Wa Mā Kā na Ma`ahu Min 'Ilahin 'Idh āan Ladh ahaba Kullu 'Ilahin Bimā Kh alaqa Wa La`alā Ba`đuhum `Alá Ba`đin Sub ĥā na A l-Lahi `Amm ā Yaşifū na Never has Allah begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Had it been so, each god would govern his own creation, and each would have tried to overpower the others. Exalted be Allah, above the sort of things they attribute to Him![23.91] مَا ا تَّخَذَ ا ل لَّهُ مِن ْ وَلَدٍ وَمَا كَا نَ مَعَهُُمِن ْ إِلَهٍ~ ٍ إِذاً لَذَهَبَ كُلُّ إِلَهٍٍ بِمَا خَلَقَ وَلَعَلاَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ سُبْ حَا نَ ا ل لَّهِ عَمَّ ا يَصِفُو نَ
`Ālimi A l-Gh aybi Wa A sh -Sh ahādati Fata`ālá `Amm ā Yush r ikū na He knows what is hidden and what is open: far above is He from the shirk of these people.[23.92] عَالِمِ ا لْغَيْبِ وَال شَّهَادَةِ فَتَعَالَى عَمَّ ا يُشْر ِكُو نَ
Qul Rabbi 'Imm ā Tur iyann ī Mā Yū`adū na Pray: “O my Rabb! If You inflict that punishment with which they are being threatened in my lifetime,[23.93] قُلْ رَبِّ إِمَّ ا تُر ِيَنِّ ي مَا يُوعَدُو نَ
Rabbi Falā Taj `alnī Fī A l-Qawmi A ž-Žālimī na then O Rabb, do not include me amongst these unjust people.”[23.94] رَبِّ فَلاَ تَجْ عَلْنِي فِي ا لْقَوْمِ ا ل ظَّالِمِي نَ
Wa 'Inn ā `Alá 'An Nur iyaka Mā Na`iduhum Laqādirū na Surely We have the power to let you see the punishment with which they are being threatened.[23.95] وَإِنَّ ا عَلَى أَن ْ نُر ِيَكَ مَا نَعِدُهُمْ لَقَادِرُو نَ
A d fa` Bi-Atī Hiya 'Aĥsanu A s-Sayyi'ata Naĥnu 'A`lamu Bimā Yaşifū na Repel evil with good - We are fully aware of their slanders[23.96] ا د ْفَعْ بِا لَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ ا ل سَّيِّئَةَ نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَصِفُو نَ
Wa Qul Rabbi 'A`ūdh u Bika Min Hamazā ti A sh -Sh ayāţī ni - and say, “O my Rabb! I seek refuge in You from the prompting of the shaitمns,[23.97] وَقُلْ رَبِّ أَعُو ذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزَا تِ ا ل شَّيَاطِي نِ
Wa 'A`ūdh u Bika Rabbi 'An Yaĥđurū ni and O Rabb! I seek refuge in You even from their coming near me.”[23.98] وَأَعُو ذُ بِكَ رَبِّ أَن ْ يَحْضُرُو نِ
Ĥattá 'Idh ā Jā 'a 'Aĥadahumu A l-Mawtu Qā la Rabbi A rji`ū ni These people will never refrain from wrongdoing until when death comes to anyone of them, he will say: “O Rabb! Send me back,[23.99] حَتَّى إِذَا جَا ءَ أَحَدَهُمُ ا لْمَوْتُ قَا لَ رَبِّ ا رْجِعُو نِ
La`allī 'A`malu Şāliĥāan Fīmā Taraktu Kallā 'Inn ahā Kalimatun Huwa Qā 'iluhā Wa Min Warā 'ihim Barzakh un 'Ilá Yawmi Yub `ath ū na so that I may do good deeds in the world that I have left behind.” Never! This is just a statement which carries no value, it will be too late because there will be a barrier between them and the world they have just left till the Day they are raised to life again.[23.100] لَعَلِّي أَعْمَلُ صَالِ حاً فِيمَا تَرَكْتُ كَلاَّ إِنَّ هَا كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قَائِلُهَا وَمِن ْ وَرَائِهِم ْ بَرْزَخٌ إِلَى يَوْمِ يُبْ عَثُو نَ
Fa'idh ā Nufikh a Fī A ş-Şū r i Falā 'An sā ba Baynahum Yawma'idh in Wa Lā Yatasā 'alū na On the Day when the Trumpet will be blown, they will neither have worldly relations between them any more, nor will they ask about each other.[23.101] فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِي ا ل صُّو ر ِ فَلاَ أَن سَا بَ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَلاَ يَتَسَاءَلُو نَ
Faman Th aqulat Mawāzīnuhu Fa'ū lā 'ika Humu A l-Mufliĥū na Then only those whose weight of good deeds is heavy, will attain salvation.[23.102] فَمَن ْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُُفَأُ وْلَائِكَ هُمُ ا لْمُفْلِحُو نَ
Wa Man Kh affat Mawāzīnuhu Fa'ū lā 'ika A l-Ladh ī na Kh asirū 'An fusahum Fī Jahann ama Kh ālidū na As for those whose weight of good deeds is light, they will be the ones who have lost their souls to live in hell forever.[23.103] وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُُفَأُ وْلَائِكَ ا لَّذِي نَ خَسِرُو ا أَن فُسَهُمْ فِي جَهَنَّ مَ خَالِدُو نَ
Talfaĥu Wujūhahumu A n -Nā ru Wa Hum Fīhā Kāliĥū na The Fire will burn their faces and they will grin therein with their lips displaced.[23.104] تَلْفَحُ وُجُوهَهُمُ ا ل نّ َا رُ وَهُمْ فِيهَا كَا لِ حُو نَ
'Alam Takun 'Ā yātī Tutlá `Alaykum Fakun tum Bihā Tukadh dh ibū na We shall say to them: “Were My revelations not recited to you, and did you not deny them?”[23.105] أَلَمْ تَكُن ْ آيَاتِي تُتْلَى عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُن تُم ْ بِهَا تُكَذِّبُو نَ
Qālū Rabbanā Gh alabat `Alaynā Sh iq watunā Wa Kunn ā Qawmāan Đā llī na They will say: “O our Rabb! Our misfortune overwhelmed us and we became erring folk.[23.106] قَالُوا رَبَّنَا غَلَبَتْ عَلَيْنَا شِقْ وَتُنَا وَكُنَّ ا قَوْماً ضَا لِّي نَ
Rabbanā 'Akh r ij nā Minhā Fa'in `Ud nā Fa'inn ā Žālimū na Our Rabb! Get us out of here; if we ever return to sin, then we shall indeed be wrongdoers."[23.107] رَبَّنَا أَخْر ِجْ نَا مِنْهَا فَإِنْ عُد ْنَا فَإِنَّ ا ظَالِ مُو نَ
Qā la A kh sa'ū Fīhā Wa Lā Tukallimū ni In answer to this Allah will say: “Stay here in shame and do not plead with Me![23.108] قَا لَ ا خْسَئُ وا فِيهَا وَلاَ تُكَلِّمُو نِ
'Inn ahu Kā na Far ī qun Min `Ibādī Yaqūlū na Rabbanā 'Ā mann ā Fāgh fir Lanā Wa A rĥam nā Wa 'An ta Kh ayru A r-Rāĥimī na For you are the same people, who used to make fun of some of My worshippers who prayed: ‘Our Rabb, We believe in You; please forgive us and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those who show mercy!’[23.109] إِنَّ هُُكَا نَ فَر ِي قٌ مِنْ عِبَادِي يَقُولُو نَ رَبَّنَا آمَنَّ ا فَا غْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَأَنْ تَ خَيْرُ ا ل رَّاحِمِي نَ
Fā ttakh adh tumūhum Sikh r īyāan Ĥattá 'An sawkum Dh ikr ī Wa Kun tum Minhum Tađĥakū na But you ridiculed them so much, that you even forgot My very existence, and went on laughing at them.[23.110] فَا تَّخَذْتُمُوهُمْ سِخْر ِيّاً حَتَّى أَن سَوْكُمْ ذِكْر ِي وَكُن تُم ْ مِنْهُمْ تَضْحَكُو نَ
'Inn ī Jazaytuhumu A l-Yawma Bimā Şabarū 'Ann ahum Humu A l-Fā 'izū na Today I have rewarded them for their fortitude, and they are the ones who have achieved bliss.”[23.111] إِنِّ ي جَزَيْتُهُمُ ا لْيَوْمَ بِمَا صَبَرُو ا أَنَّ هُمْ هُمُ ا لْفَائِزُو نَ
Qā la Kam Labith tum Fī A l-'Arđi `Adada Sinī na They will be asked: “How many years did you live on earth?”[23.112] قَا لَ كَمْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِي ا لأَرْضِ عَدَدَ سِنِي نَ
Qālū Labith nā Yawmāan 'Aw Ba`đa Yawmin Fās'ali A l-`Ā ddī na They will reply: “We lived there a day or part of a day; You may ask those who kept the count."[23.113] قَالُوا لَبِثْنَا يَوْماً أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍ فَا سْأَلِ ا لْعَا دِّي نَ
Qā la 'In Labith tum 'Illā Qalīlāan Law 'Ann akum Kun tum Ta`lamū na It will be said: “Well, now you know that your stay was just a little while - what a pity, you did not believe it then!”[23.114] قَا لَ إِن ْ لَبِثْتُمْ إِلاَّ قَلِيلاً لَوْ أَنَّ كُمْ كُن تُمْ تَعْلَمُو نَ
'Afaĥasib tum 'Ann amā Kh alaq nākum `Abath āan Wa 'Ann akum 'Ilaynā Lā Turja`ū na Did you think that We had created you without any purpose and that you would never return to Us for accountability?”[23.115] أَفَحَسِبْ تُمْ أَنَّ مَا خَلَقْ نَاكُمْ عَبَثاً وَأَنَّ كُمْ إِلَيْنَا لاَ تُرْجَعُو نَ
Fata`ālá A l-Lahu A l-Maliku A l-Ĥaqqu Lā 'Ilā ha 'Illā Huwa Rabbu A l-`Arsh i A l-Kar ī mi Therefore, exalted be Allah, the Real King; there is no god but Him, the Lord of the Honorable Throne.[23.116] فَتَعَالَى ا ل لَّهُ ا لْمَلِكُ ا لْحَقُّ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ رَبُّ ا لْعَرْشِ ا لْكَر ِي مِ
Wa Man Yad `u Ma`a A l-Lahi 'Ilahāan 'Ā kh ara Lā Burhā na Lahu Bihi Fa'inn amā Ĥisābuhu `In da Rabbihi 'Inn ahu Lā Yufliĥu A l-Kāfirū na Whoever invokes another god besides Allah - about whose divinity he has no proof -he will have to give an account to his Rabb. Surely such unbelievers will never attain salvation.[23.117] وَمَن ْ يَد ْعُ مَعَ ا ل لَّهِ إِلَهاً آخَرَ لاَ بُرْهَا نَ لَهُُبِهِِ فَإِنَّ مَا حِسَابُهُُعِنْ دَ رَبِّهِ إِنَّ هُ لاَ يُفْلِحُ ا لْكَافِرُو نَ
