Wa La'in 'Adhaqnāhu Na`mā'a Ba`da Đarrā'a Massat/hu Layaqūlanna Dhahaba As-Sayyi'ātu `Annī 'Innahu Lafariĥun Fakhūrun But if We let him taste any favor after adversity has afflicted him, then he says: All my sorrows are gone from me, and he becomes jubilantly arrogant.[11.10]
'Illā Al-Ladhīna Şabarū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti 'Ūlā'ika Lahum Maghfiratun Wa 'Ajrun Kabīrun The exception is for those people who are steadfast and do good deeds; they are the ones who will have forgiveness and a great reward.[11.11]

You should know that you are nothing but a warner! It is Allah Who is the Custodian of everything.[11.12]

Can such people deny the revelation of Al- Quran? No of course not, rather such people will believe in this, but those factions who do not believe shall have their promised place in the Hellfire. So, O Prophet, do not be in any doubt about it; it is the Truth from your Rabb, even though most people do not believe so.[11.17]

Now, take your family and get out of this town while yet a part of the night remains - and let none of you turn back - except your wife, who should be left behind. She will face the same fate as they. Their scheduled time of doom is the morning. Is not the morning very close?[11.81]
Falammā Jā'a 'Amrunā Ja`alnā `Āliyahā Sāfilahā Wa 'Amţarnā `Alayhā Ĥijāratan Min Sijjīlin Manđūdin When Our Judgement came to pass, We turned the cities upside down and rained down on them brimstones of baked clay, layer upon layer,[11.82]

Does your Salah (prayer) command you that we give up all those deities whom our forefathers worshipped or that we have no right of doing what we like with our own goods? For sure, you are the only gracious and righteous man left in the land![11.87]
Qāla Yā Qawmi 'Ara'aytum 'In Kuntu `Alá Bayyinatin Min Rabbī Wa Razaqanī Minhu Rizqāan Ĥasanāan Wa Mā 'Urīdu 'An 'Ukhālifakum 'Ilá Mā 'Anhākum `Anhu 'In 'Urīdu 'Illā Al-'Işlāĥa Mā Astaţa`tu Wa Mā Tawfīqī 'Illā Bil-Lahi `Alayhi Tawakkaltu Wa 'Ilayhi 'Unību He said: O my people! We do not comprehend much of what you say. In fact, we see that you are a powerless person among us. Were it not for your family, we certainly would have stoned you, for you are not strong enough to prevail against us."[11.91]
Qāla Yā Qawmi 'Arahţī 'A`azzu `Alaykum Mina Al-Lahi Wa Attakhadhtumūhu Warā'akum Žihrīyāan 'Inna Rabbī Bimā Ta`malūna Muĥīţun He said: O my people! Yaqdumu Qawmahu Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Fa'awradahumu An-Nāra Wa Bi'sa Al-Wirdu Al-Mawrūdu He will be in front of his people on the Day of Resurrection, and will bring them down to Hell. How awful will be the place to which they will be brought?[11.98]
Wa 'Utbi`ū Fī Hadhihi La`natan Wa Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Bi'sa Ar-Rifdu Al-Marfūdu A curse followed them in this life, and a curse will follow them on the Day of Resurrection. What an evil reward for one to receive.[11.99]
Dhālika Min 'Anbā'i Al-Qurá Naquşşuhu `Alayka Minhā Qā'imun Wa Ĥaşīdun These are the stories of the nations which We relate to you; of them some have survived and some have ceased to exist.[11.100]

The deities they invoked beside Allah did not avail them when the judgement of your Rabb came to pass; they added nothing to their lot but perdition.[11.101]
Wa Kadhalika 'Akhdhu Rabbika 'Idhā 'Akhadha Al-Qurá Wa Hiya Žālimatun 'Inna 'Akhdhahu 'Alīmun Shadīdun Such is the scourge of your Rabb when He seizes a sinful town; indeed, His seizure is terrible and painful.[11.102] ~

Wa Laqad 'Ātaynā Mūsá Al-Kitāba Fākhtulifa Fīhi Wa Lawlā Kalimatun Sabaqat Min Rabbika Laquđiya Baynahum Wa 'Innahum Lafī Shakkin Minhu Murībin We certainly gave the Book to Musa (Moses), but differences arose about it; had not a Word gone forth from your Rabb, the matter would have been decided between them regarding those differences. It is a fact that they are in suspicious doubt about this,[11.110]
Wa 'Inna Kullā Lammā Layuwaffiyannahum Rabbuka 'A`mālahum 'Innahu Bimā Ya`malūna Khabīrun and it is also a fact that your Rabb will give them full measure for their deeds, for He is fully aware of what they do.[11.111]
Fāstaqim Kamā 'Umirta Wa Man Tāba Ma`aka Wa Lā Taţghaw 'Innahu Bimā Ta`malūna Başīrun Therefore, stand firm on the Right Way as you are commanded, together with those who have turned from unbelief to belief in Allah, and do not transgress; surely, He is watching all that you do.[11.112]

The wrongdoers, however, pursued the worldly pleasure they were provided, and became confirmed criminals.[11.116]
Wa Mā Kāna Rabbuka Liyuhlika Al-Qurá Bižulmin Wa 'Ahluhā Muşliĥūna It is not possible that your Rabb would destroy the towns unjustly while their habitants were to mend their ways.[11.117]
Wa Law Shā'a Rabbuka Laja`ala An-Nāsa 'Ummatan Wāĥidatan Wa Lā Yazālūna Mukhtalifīna If your Rabb had so willed, He would have certainly made mankind one single nation but that is not what He wants, so they will continue to differ[11.118]
