'Alif-Lām-Mīm-Şād  | Alif L'مm M'ïm Suمd.[7.1] | أَلِف-لَام-مِيم-صَاد |
Kitābun 'Unzila 'Ilayka Falā Yakun Fī Şadrika Ĥarajun Minhu Litundhira Bihi Wa Dhikrá Lilmu'uminīna  | This Book is revealed to you; let there be no hesitation in your heart about it so that you may thereby warn the unbelievers and remind the believers.[7.2] | كِتَابٌ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ فَلاَ يَكُنْ فِي صَدْرِكَ حَرَج ٌ مِنْهُ لِتُنذِرَ بِه ِِ وَذِكْرَى لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
Attabi`ū Mā 'Unzila 'Ilaykum Min Rabbikum Wa Lā Tattabi`ū Min Dūnihi 'Awliyā'a Qalīlāan Mā Tadhakkarūna  | Say: "O people, follow what has been brought down to you from your Rabb and do not follow other patrons besides Him." Yet little do they take admonition.[7.3] | اتَّبِعُوا مَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَلاَ تَتَّبِعُوا مِنْ دُونِهِ~ِ أَوْلِيَاءَ قَلِيلا ً مَا تَذَكَّرُونَ |
Wa Kam Min Qaryatin 'Ahlaknāhā Fajā'ahā Ba'sunā Bayātāan 'Aw Hum Qā'ilūna  | How many towns have We destroyed for their sins? Our scourge took them all of a sudden at night or while they were taking their afternoon rest,[7.4] | وَكَمْ مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَاهَا فَجَاءَهَا بَأْسُنَا بَيَاتاً أَوْ هُمْ قَائِلُونَ |
Famā Kāna Da`wāhum 'Idh Jā'ahum Ba'sunā 'Illā 'An Qālū 'Innā Kunnā Žālimīna  | and when our scourge fell upon them, their only cry was: “We have indeed been wrongdoers."[7.5] | فَمَا كَانَ دَعْوَاهُمْ إِذْ جَاءَهُمْ بَأْسُنَا إِلاَّ أَنْ قَالُوا إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ |
Falanas'alanna Al-Ladhīna 'Ursila 'Ilayhim Wa Lanas'alanna Al-Mursalīna  | On the Day of Judgment We shall question those to whom Rasools were sent and We shall also question the Rasools about Our message and its response.[7.6] | فَلَنَسْأَلَنَّ الَّذِينَ أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَنَسْأَلَنَّ الْمُرْسَلِينَ |
Falanaquşşanna `Alayhim Bi`ilmin Wa Mā Kunnā Ghā'ibīna  | Then We shall tell their whole story as an eye witness for We were never absent at any time or from any place.[7.7] | فَلَنَقُصَّنَّ عَلَيْهِمْ بِعِلْم ٍ وَمَا كُنَّا غَائِبِينَ |
Wa Al-Waznu Yawma'idhin Al-Ĥaqqu Faman Thaqulat Mawāzīnuhu Fa'ūlā'ika Humu Al-Mufliĥūna  | On that Day, the scale of justice shall be established. Those whose scale of good deeds will be heavy, they are the ones who will attain felicity,[7.8] | وَالْوَزْنُ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ الْحَقُّ فَمَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُه ُُ فَأُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ |
Wa Man Khaffat Mawāzīnuhu Fa'ūlā'ika Al-Ladhīna Khasirū 'Anfusahum Bimā Kānū Bi'āyātinā Yažlimūna  | and those whose scale is light, they shall find themselves in loss for they had done injustice to Our revelations.[7.9] | وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُه ُُ فَأُوْلَائِكَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَظْلِمُونَ |
Wa Laqad Makkannākum Fī Al-'Arđi Wa Ja`alnā Lakum Fīhā Ma`āyisha Qalīlāan Mā Tashkurūna  | We are the One Who established you on earth, and provided you means of your sustenance therein: yet little it is that you pay thanks.[7.10] | وَلَقَدْ مَكَّنَّاكُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ وَجَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ فِيهَا مَعَايِشَ قَلِيلا ً مَا تَشْكُرُونَ |
Wa Laqad Khalaqnākum Thumma Şawwarnākum Thumma Qulnā Lilmalā'ikati Asjudū Li'dama Fasajadū 'Illā 'Iblīsa Lam Yakun Mina As-Sājidīna  | Indeed We created you, then We fashioned you, then We asked the angels: "Prostrate yourselves before Adam." They all prostrated accordingly except Iblees (Shaitمn) who did not join those who prostrated.[7.11] | وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَاكُمْ ثُمَّ صَوَّرْنَاكُمْ ثُمَّ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلاَئِكَةِ اسْجُدُوا لِأدَمَ فَسَجَدُوا إِلاَّ إِبْلِيسَ لَمْ يَكُنْ مِنَ السَّاجِدِينَ |
Qāla Mā Mana`aka 'Allā Tasjuda 'Idh 'Amartuka Qāla 'Anā Khayrun Minhu Khalaqtanī Min Nārin Wa Khalaqtahu Min Ţīnin  | Allah said: “What prevented you from prostrating when I commanded you?” He replied: “I am better than he; you created me from fire and him from clay.”[7.12] | قَالَ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَلاَّ تَسْجُدَ إِذْ أَمَرْتُكَ قَالَ أَنَا خَيْر ٌ مِنْهُ خَلَقْتَنِي مِنْ نَار ٍ وَخَلَقْتَه ُُ مِنْ طِين ٍ |
Qāla Fāhbiţ Minhā Famā Yakūnu Laka 'An Tatakabbara Fīhā Fākhruj 'Innaka Mina Aş-Şāghirīna  | Allah said: “Get down from here. You have no right to brag here of your superiority. Get out, henceforth you are of the petty ones."[7.13] | قَالَ فَاهْبِطْ مِنْهَا فَمَا يَكُونُ لَكَ أَنْ تَتَكَبَّرَ فِيهَا فَاخْرُجْ إِنَّكَ مِنَ الصَّاغِرِينَ |
Qāla 'Anžirnī 'Ilá Yawmi Yub`athūna  | Shaitمn requested: “Give me respite till the Day of Resurrection."[7.14] | قَالَ أَنظِرْنِي إِلَى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ |
Qāla 'Innaka Mina Al-Munžarīna  | Allah said: “The respite you requested is hereby granted."[7.15] | قَالَ إِنَّكَ مِنَ الْمُنظَرِينَ |
Qāla Fabimā 'Aghwaytanī La'aq`udanna Lahum Şirāţaka Al-Mustaqīma  | Shaitمn declared: “Since You let me deviate, now I will lie in ambush for mankind on Your Right Way.[7.16] | قَالَ فَبِمَا أَغْوَيْتَنِي لَأَقْعُدَنَّ لَهُمْ صِرَاطَكَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ |
Thumma La'ātiyannahum Min Bayni 'Aydīhim Wa Min Khalfihim Wa `An 'Aymānihim Wa `An Shamā'ilihim Wa Lā Tajidu 'Aktharahum Shākirīna  | I Will come upon them from the front, from the rear, from the right, and from the left, and You will not find most of them to be grateful."[7.17] | ثُمَّ لَآتِيَنَّهُمْ مِنْ بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ وَعَنْ أَيْمَانِهِمْ وَعَنْ شَمَائِلِهِمْ وَلاَ تَجِدُ أَكْثَرَهُمْ شَاكِرِينَ |
Qāla Akhruj Minhā Madh'ūmāan Madĥūrāan Laman Tabi`aka Minhum La'amla'anna Jahannama Minkum 'Ajma`īna  | Allah said: “Get out from here, you despicable outcast; I will certainly fill hell with you and all of them who follow you."[7.18] | قَالَ اخْرُجْ مِنْهَا مَذْءُوما ً مَدْحُورا ً لَمَنْ تَبِعَكَ مِنْهُمْ لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنْكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ |
Wa Yā'ādamu Askun 'Anta Wa Zawjuka Al-Jannata Fakulā Min Ĥaythu Shi'tumā Wa Lā Taqrabā Hadhihi Ash-Shajarata Fatakūnā Mina Až-Žālimīna  | Allah said: "O Adam! Dwell with your wife in paradise and eat any fruit you please; but never approach this tree or you shall both become wrongdoers."[7.19] | وَيَاآدَمُ اسْكُنْ أَنْتَ وَزَوْجُكَ الْجَنَّةَ فَكُلاَ مِنْ حَيْثُ شِئْتُمَا وَلاَ تَقْرَبَا هَذِهِ الشَّجَرَةَ فَتَكُونَا مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ |
Fawaswasa Lahumā Ash-Shayţānu Liyubdiya Lahumā Mā Wūriya `Anhumā Min Saw'ātihimā Wa Qāla Mā Nahākumā Rabbukumā `An Hadhihi Ash-Shajarati 'Illā 'An Takūnā Malakayni 'Aw Takūnā Mina Al-Khālidīna  | But Shaitمn tempted them so that he might reveal to them the private parts of their bodies which they had never seen before. He told them: “Your Rabb has forbidden you to approach this tree only to prevent you from becoming angels or immortals."[7.20] | فَوَسْوَسَ لَهُمَا الشَّيْطَانُ لِيُبْدِيَ لَهُمَا مَا وُورِيَ عَنْهُمَا مِنْ سَوْآتِهِمَا وَقَالَ مَا نَهَاكُمَا رَبُّكُمَا عَنْ هَذِهِ الشَّجَرَةِ إِلاَّ أَنْ تَكُونَا مَلَكَيْنِ أَوْ تَكُونَا مِنَ الْخَالِدِينَ |
Wa Qāsamahumā 'Innī Lakumā Lamina An-Nāşiĥīna  | And he swore to them both: “I am your sincere adviser."[7.21] | وَقَاسَمَهُمَا إِنِّي لَكُمَا لَمِنَ النَّاصِحِينَ |
Fadallāhumā Bighurūrin Falammā Dhāqā Ash-Shajarata Badat Lahumā Saw'ātuhumā Wa Ţafiqā Yakhşifāni `Alayhimā Min Waraqi Al-Jannati Wa Nādāhumā Rabbuhumā 'Alam 'Anhakumā `An Tilkumā Ash-Shajarati Wa 'Aqul Lakumā 'Inna Ash-Shayţāna Lakumā `Adūwun Mubīnun  | Thus he cunningly seduced them, and when they ate from the tree, their shame became visible to them and they began to cover themselves with the leaves of the garden. Then their Rabb called out to them: “Did I not forbid you to approach that tree, and did not I warn you that Shaitمn was your open enemy?”[7.22] | فَدَلاَّهُمَا بِغُرُور ٍ فَلَمَّا ذَاقَا الشَّجَرَةَ بَدَتْ لَهُمَا سَوْآتُهُمَا وَطَفِقَا يَخْصِفَانِ عَلَيْهِمَا مِنْ وَرَقِ الْجَنَّةِ وَنَادَاهُمَا رَبُّهُمَا أَلَمْ أَنْهَكُمَا عَنْ تِلْكُمَا الشَّجَرَةِ وَأَقُلْ لَكُمَا إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَكُمَا عَدُوّ ٌ مُبِين ٌ |
Qālā Rabbanā Žalamnā 'Anfusanā Wa 'In Lam Taghfir Lanā Wa Tarĥamnā Lanakūnanna Mina Al-Khāsirīna  | They both replied: “Our Rabb! We have wronged our souls. If You do not forgive us and have mercy on us, we shall certainly be of the losers.”[7.23] | قَالاَ رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنفُسَنَا وَإِنْ لَمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ |
Qāla Ahbiţū Ba`đukum Liba`đin `Adūwun Wa Lakum Fī Al-'Arđi Mustaqarrun Wa Matā`un 'Ilá Ĥīnin  | Allah said: “Go down, some of you are the enemy of others. The Earth will be your dwelling-place and your means of livelihood for a fixed term.”[7.24] | قَالَ اهْبِطُوا بَعْضُكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوّ ٌ وَلَكُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ مُسْتَقَرّ ٌ وَمَتَاع ٌ إِلَى حِين ٍ |
Qāla Fīhā Taĥyawna Wa Fīhā Tamūtūna Wa Minhā Tukhrajūna  | He further said: “Therein you shall live and therein you shall die, and therefrom you shall be raised to life."[7.25] | قَالَ فِيهَا تَحْيَوْنَ وَفِيهَا تَمُوتُونَ وَمِنْهَا تُخْرَجُونَ |
Yā Banī 'Ādama Qad 'Anzalnā `Alaykum Libāsāan Yuwārī Saw''ātikum Wa Rīshāan Wa Libāsu At-Taqwá Dhālika Khayrun Dhālika Min 'Āyā Ti Al-Lahi La`allahum Yadhdhakkarūna  | O children of Adam! We have sent down to you clothing to cover your nakedness and as an adornment, however, the best clothing is the clothing of piety. This is one of Allah’s revelations so that the people may learn a lesson.[7.26] | يَابَنِي آدَمَ قَدْ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ لِبَاسا ً يُوَارِي سَوْءآتِكُمْ وَرِيشا ً وَلِبَاسُ التَّقْوَى ذَلِكَ خَيْر ٌ ذَلِكَ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ |
Yā Banī 'Ādama Lā Yaftinannakumu Ash-Shayţānu Kamā 'Akhraja 'Abawaykum Mina Al-Jannati Yanzi`u `Anhumā Libāsahumā Liyuriyahumā Saw''ātihimā 'Innahu Yarākum Huwa Wa Qabīluhu Min Ĥaythu Lā Tarawnahum 'Innā Ja`alnā Ash-Shayā Ţīna 'Awliyā 'A Lilladhīna Lā Yu'uminūna  | O children of Adam! Let not Shaitمn seduce you in the same manner as he seduced your parents out of paradise through stripping them of their clothing in order to expose their nakedness. He and his tribe watch you from where you cannot see them. We have permitted the shaitمns to be the guardians over the unbelievers.[7.27] | يَابَنِي آدَمَ لاَ يَفْتِنَنَّكُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ كَمَا أَخْرَجَ أَبَوَيْكُمْ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ يَنزِعُ عَنْهُمَا لِبَاسَهُمَا لِيُرِيَهُمَا سَوْءآتِهِمَا إِنَّه ُُ يَرَاكُمْ هُوَ وَقَبِيلُه ُُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لاَ تَرَوْنَهُمْ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا الشَّيَاطِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ لِلَّذِينَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ |
Wa 'Idhā Fa`alū Fāĥishatan Qālū Wajadnā `Alayhā 'Ābā'anā Wa Allāhu 'Amaranā Bihā Qul 'Inna Al-Laha Lā Ya'muru Bil-Faĥshā'i 'Ataqūlūna `Alá Al-Lahi Mā Lā Ta`lamūna  | Whenever they commit a shameful deed, they say: “We found our forefathers doing this and Allah Himself has commanded us to do so." Tell them: “Nay! Allah never commands what is shameful. Do you attribute to Allah something about which you have no knowledge?”[7.28] | وَإِذَا فَعَلُوا فَاحِشَة ً قَالُوا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهَا آبَاءَنَا وَاللَّهُ أَمَرَنَا بِهَا قُلْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَأْمُرُ بِالْفَحْشَاءِ أَتَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ مَا لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ |
Qul 'Amara Rabbī Bil-Qisţi Wa 'Aqīmū Wujūhakum `Inda Kulli Masjidin Wa Ad`ūhu Mukhlişīna Lahu Ad-Dīna Kamā Bada'akum Ta`ūdūna  | O Muhammad, say to them: “My Rabb has commanded justice and that you set your faces in the right direction at the time of every prayer and call on Him with true devotion. You shall return to Him as He created you in the beginning."[7.29] | قُلْ أَمَرَ رَبِّي بِالْقِسْطِ وَأَقِيمُوا وُجُوهَكُمْ عِنْدَ كُلِّ مَسْجِد ٍ وَادْعُوه ُُ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ كَمَا بَدَأَكُمْ تَعُودُونَ |
Farīqāan Hadá Wa Farīqāan Ĥaqqa `Alayhimu Ađ-Đalālatu 'Innahumu Attakhadhū Ash-Shayāţīna 'Awliyā'a Min Dūni Al-Lahi Wa Yaĥsabūna 'Annahum Muhtadūna  | To one group He has guided while the other group deserved to be left in error due to their own choice; for they took the shaitمns for their protectors instead of Allah, yet they think that they are guided.[7.30] | فَرِيقاً هَدَى وَفَرِيقاً حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الضَّلاَلَةُ إِنَّهُمُ اتَّخَذُوا الشَّيَاطِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ مُهْتَدُونَ |
Yā Banī 'Ādama Khudhū Zīnatakum `Inda Kulli Masjidin Wa Kulū Wa Ashrabū Wa Lā Tusrifū 'Innahu Lā Yuĥibbu Al-Musrifīna  | O Children of Adam! Put on your adornment (proper and decent dress) when you attend your Masjid at the time of every prayer. Eat and drink, but do not be extravagant; surely He does not love the extravagant.[7.31] | يَابَنِي آدَمَ خُذُوا زِينَتَكُمْ عِنْدَ كُلِّ مَسْجِد ٍ وَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا وَلاَ تُسْرِفُوا إِنَّهُ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْمُسْرِفِينَ |
Qul Man Ĥarrama Zīnata Al-Lahi Allatī 'Akhraja Li`ibādihi Wa Aţ-Ţayyibāti Mina Ar-Rizqi Qul Hiya Lilladhīna 'Āmanū Fī Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Khālişatan Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Kadhālika Nufaşşilu Al-'Āyāti Liqawmin Ya`lamūna  | O Muhammad, ask them: "Who has forbidden you to wear decent clothes or to eat the good food which Allah has provided for His devotees?" Say: "All these things are for the enjoyment of the believers in the life of this world though shared by others; but these shall be exclusively theirs on the Day of Resurrection. Thus do We make Our revelations clear for those who understand."[7.32] | قُلْ مَنْ حَرَّمَ زِينَةَ اللَّهِ الَّتِي أَخْرَجَ لِعِبَادِه ِِ وَالطَّيِّبَاتِ مِنَ الرِّزْقِ قُلْ هِيَ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا خَالِصَة ً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَذَلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الآيَاتِ لِقَوْم ٍ يَعْلَمُونَ |
Qul 'Innamā Ĥarrama Rabbiya Al-Fawāĥisha Mā Žahara Minhā Wa Mā Baţana Wa Al-'Ithma Wa Al-Baghya Bighayri Al-Ĥaqqi Wa 'An Tushrikū Bil-Lahi Mā Lam Yunazzil Bihi Sulţānāan Wa 'An Taqūlū `Alá Al-Lahi Mā Lā Ta`lamūna  | Say: "My Rabb has forbidden all indecencies whether open or secret, sin and rebellion against justice, committing shirk with Allah for which He has granted no sanction, and saying things about Allah of which you have no knowledge.[7.33] | قُلْ إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ رَبِّيَ الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ وَالإِثْمَ وَالْبَغْيَ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَأَنْ تُشْرِكُوا بِاللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِه ِِ سُلْطَانا ً وَأَنْ تَقُولُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ مَا لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ |
Wa Likulli 'Ummatin 'Ajalun Fa'idhā Jā'a 'Ajaluhum Lā Yasta'khirūna Sā`atan Wa Lā Yastaqdimūna  | For every nation there is a fixed term, when their term expires, it can neither be delayed for a moment nor can it be made to come early."[7.34] | وَلِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ أَجَل ٌ فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهُمْ لاَ يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ سَاعَة ً وَلاَ يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ |
Yā Banī 'Ādama 'Immā Ya'tiyannakum Rusulun Minkum Yaquşşūna `Alaykum 'Āyā Tī Famani Attaqá Wa 'Aşlaĥa Falā Khawfun `Alayhim Wa Lā Hum Yaĥzanūna  | O children of Adam! Whenever there come to you Rasools from among you and recite to you My revelations, those who will become righteous and mend their ways will have nothing to fear or to regret;[7.35] | يَابَنِي آدَمَ إِمَّا يَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ رُسُل ٌ مِنْكُمْ يَقُصُّونَ عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتِي فَمَنِ اتَّقَى وَأَصْلَحَ فَلاَ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ |
Wa Al-Ladhīna Kadhdhabū Bi'āyātinā Wa Astakbarū `Anhā 'Ūlā'ika 'Aşĥābu An-Nāri Hum Fīhā Khālidūna  | but those who deny Our revelations and treat them with arrogance, shall be the inmates of hellfire to live therein forever.[7.36] | وَالَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا عَنْهَا أُوْلَائِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ |
Faman 'Ažlamu Mimmani Aftará `Alá Al-Lahi Kadhibāan 'Aw Kadhdhaba Bi'āyātihi 'Ūlā'ika Yanāluhum Naşībuhum Mina Al-Kitābi Ĥattá 'Idhā Jā'at/hum Rusulunā Yatawaffawnahum Qālū 'Ayna Mā Kuntum Tad`ūna Min Dūni Al-Lahi Qālū Đallū `Annā Wa Shahidū `Alá 'Anfusihim 'Annahum Kānū Kāfirīna  | Who can be more unjust than the one who invents a lie against Allah or rejects His revelations? Such people will have their destined portion from the Book (what was written for them to receive during their life on earth); until when Our messengers (angels of death) arrive to take away their souls, they will ask: “Where are those gods whom you used to invoke besides Allah?” They will reply: “They have forsaken us” and they will bear witness against themselves (admit) that they were indeed kuffمr (unbelievers).[7.37] | فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِباً أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِآيَاتِهِ~ِ أُوْلَائِكَ يَنَالُهُمْ نَصِيبُهُمْ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُنَا يَتَوَفَّوْنَهُمْ قَالُوا أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ قَالُوا ضَلُّوا عَنَّا وَشَهِدُوا عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا كَافِرِينَ |
Qāla Adkhulū Fī 'Umamin Qad Khalat Min Qablikum Mina Al-Jinni Wa Al-'Insi Fī An-Nāri Kullamā Dakhalat 'Ummatun La`anat 'Ukhtahā Ĥattá 'Idhā Addārakū Fīhā Jamī`āan Qālat 'Ukhrāhum Li'wlāhum Rabbanā Hā'uulā' 'Ađallūnā Fa'ātihim `Adhābāan Đi`fāan Mina An-Nāri Qāla Likullin Đi`fun Wa Lakin Lā Ta`lamūna  | Allah will say: “Enter the fire and join the nations of Jinns and men who have gone before you." As each nation will enter hell, it will curse its preceding sister till all are gathered there, the last of them will say about the first one: “Our Rabb! These have led us astray; therefore, give them double punishment of the fire.” He will answer: “There will be double for all, although you may not know because of being predecessor or successor in sin and aggression."[7.38] | قَالَ ادْخُلُوا فِي أُمَم ٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالإِنسِ فِي النَّارِ كُلَّمَا دَخَلَتْ أُمَّة ٌ لَعَنَتْ أُخْتَهَا حَتَّى إِذَا ادَّارَكُوا فِيهَا جَمِيعا ً قَالَتْ أُخْرَاهُمْ لِأولاَهُمْ رَبَّنَا هَاؤُلاَء أَضَلُّونَا فَآتِهِمْ عَذَابا ً ضِعْفا ً مِنَ النَّارِ قَالَ لِكُلّ ٍ ضِعْف ٌ وَلَكِنْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ |
Wa Qālat 'Ūlāhum Li'khrāhum Famā Kāna Lakum `Alaynā Min Fađlin Fadhūqū Al-`Adhāba Bimā Kuntum Taksibūna  | Then the first will say to the last: “If we were to blame, you too, were no better than us; now taste the punishment of your misdeeds."[7.39] | وَقَالَتْ أُولاَهُمْ لِأخْرَاهُمْ فَمَا كَانَ لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا مِنْ فَضْل ٍ فَذُوقُوا الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْسِبُونَ |
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Kadhdhabū Bi'āyātinā Wa Astakbarū `Anhā Lā Tufattaĥu Lahum 'Abwābu As-Samā'i Wa Lā Yadkhulūna Al-Jannata Ĥattá Yalija Al-Jamalu Fī Sammi Al-Khiyāţi Wa Kadhalika Najzī Al-Mujrimīna  | Surely, the gates of the Heaven will not be opened for those who deny Our revelations and treat them with arrogance; their admission into paradise will be as impossible as the passing of a camel through the eye of a needle. That is how We shall reward the criminals.[7.40] | إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا عَنْهَا لاَ تُفَتَّحُ لَهُمْ أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ وَلاَ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّى يَلِجَ الْجَمَلُ فِي سَمِّ الْخِيَاطِ وَكَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُجْرِمِينَ |
Lahum Min Jahannama Mihādun Wa Min Fawqihim Ghawāshin Wa Kadhalika Najzī Až-Žālimīna  | Hell shall be their bed and flames shall be their covering. That is how We shall reward the wrongdoers.[7.41] | لَهُمْ مِنْ جَهَنَّمَ مِهَاد ٌ وَمِنْ فَوْقِهِمْ غَوَاش ٍ وَكَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الظَّالِمِينَ |
Wa Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Lā Nukallifu Nafsāan 'Illā Wus`ahā 'Ūlā'ika 'Aşĥābu Al-Jannati Hum Fīhā Khālidūna  | As for those who believe and do good deeds - We never burden a soul with more than it can bear - they are worthy of Paradise, wherein they will live forever.[7.42] | وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لاَ نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسا ً إِلاَّ وُسْعَهَا أُوْلَائِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ |
Wa Naza`nā Mā Fī Şudūrihim Min Ghillin Tajrī Min Taĥtihimu Al-'Anhāru Wa Qālū Al-Ĥamdu Lillahi Al-Ladhī Hadānā Lihadhā Wa Mā Kunnā Linahtadiya Lawlā 'An Hadānā Al-Lahu Laqad Jā'at Rusulu Rabbinā Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Nūdū 'An Tilkumu Al-Jannatu 'Ūrithtumūhā Bimā Kuntum Ta`malūna  | We shall remove whatever ill-feeling they may have in their hearts against one another. Rivers will be flowing beneath them; and they will say: “Praise be to Allah Who guided us this way, we would have never found the Right Way if Allah had not guided us. The Rasools of our Rabb have surely preached us the truth." At that time they will hear the announcement: “This is paradise, which you have inherited because of your good deeds."[7.43] | وَنَزَعْنَا مَا فِي صُدُورِهِمْ مِنْ غِلّ ٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهِمُ الأَنْهَارُ وَقَالُوا الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي هَدَانَا لِهَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لِنَهْتَدِيَ لَوْلاَ أَنْ هَدَانَا اللَّهُ لَقَدْ جَاءَتْ رُسُلُ رَبِّنَا بِالْحَقِّ وَنُودُوا أَنْ تِلْكُمُ الْجَنَّةُ أُورِثْتُمُوهَا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ |
Wa Nādá 'Aşĥābu Al-Jannati 'Aşĥāba An-Nāri 'An Qad Wajadnā Mā Wa`adanā Rabbunā Ĥaqqāan Fahal Wajadtum Mā Wa`ada Rabbukum Ĥaqqāan Qālū Na`am Fa'adhdhana Mu'uadhdhinun Baynahum 'An La`natu Al-Lahi `Alá Až-Žālimīna  | The residents of paradise will call out to the inmates of the hellfire: “We have indeed found out the promises of our Rabb to be true. Have you, too, found the promise of your Rabb to be true?” “Yes,” they will answer, and a herald will proclaim among them, “the curse of Allah be upon those wrongdoers[7.44] | وَنَادَى أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ أَصْحَابَ النَّارِ أَنْ قَدْ وَجَدْنَا مَا وَعَدَنَا رَبُّنَا حَقّا ً فَهَلْ وَجَدْتُمْ مَا وَعَدَ رَبُّكُمْ حَقّا ً قَالُوا نَعَمْ فَأَذَّنَ مُؤَذِّن ٌ بَيْنَهُمْ أَنْ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الظَّالِمِينَ |
Al-Ladhīna Yaşuddūna `An Sabīli Al-Lahi Wa Yabghūnahā `Iwajāan Wa Hum Bil-'Ākhirati Kāfirūna  | who hindered other people from the Way of Allah and sought to make it crooked, and who did not believe in the hereafter."[7.45] | الَّذِينَ يَصُدُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَيَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجا ً وَهُمْ بِالآخِرَةِ كَافِرُونَ |
Wa Baynahumā Ĥijābun Wa `Alá Al-'A`rāfi Rijālun Ya`rifūna Kullāan Bisīmāhum Wa Nādaw 'Aşĥāba Al-Jannati 'An Salāmun `Alaykum Lam Yadkhulūhā Wa Hum Yaţma`ūna  | Between the two, there shall be a veil, and on the A‘rمf (heights) there will be people who will recognize them by their features. They will call out to the residents of Paradise: “Peace be upon you!” They will not have yet entered it, though they will have the hope."[7.46] | وَبَيْنَهُمَا حِجَاب ٌ وَعَلَى الأَعرَافِ رِجَال ٌ يَعْرِفُونَ كُلاّ ً بِسِيمَاهُمْ وَنَادَوْا أَصْحَابَ الْجَنَّةِ أَنْ سَلاَمٌ عَلَيْكُمْ لَمْ يَدْخُلُوهَا وَهُمْ يَطْمَعُونَ |
Wa 'Idhā Şurifat 'Abşāruhum Tilqā'a 'Aşĥābi An-Nāri Qālū Rabbanā Lā Taj`alnā Ma`a Al-Qawmi Až-Žālimīna  | When their eyes shall turn towards the inmates of the hellfire they will say: “Our Rabb! Do not cast us among these wrongdoers."[7.47] | وَإِذَا صُرِفَتْ أَبْصَارُهُمْ تِلْقَاءَ أَصْحَابِ النَّارِ قَالُوا رَبَّنَا لاَ تَجْعَلْنَا مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ |
Wa Nādá 'Aşĥābu Al-'A`rāfi Rijālāan Ya`rifūnahum Bisīmāhum Qālū Mā 'Aghná `Ankum Jam`ukum Wa Mā Kuntum Tastakbirūna  | The people of the A'rمf (heights) will call to certain men (famous personalities from among the inmates of Hell) whom they will recognize by their features and say: “Have you found out that neither your riches nor your arrogant pride have availed you?[7.48] | وَنَادَى أَصْحَابُ الأَعرَافِ رِجَالا ً يَعْرِفُونَهُمْ بِسِيمَاهُمْ قَالُوا مَا أَغْنَى عَنْكُمْ جَمْعُكُمْ وَمَا كُنتُمْ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ |
'Ahā'uulā' Al-Ladhīna 'Aqsamtum Lā Yanāluhumu Al-Lahu Biraĥmatin Adkhulū Al-Jannata Lā Khawfun `Alaykum Wa Lā 'Antum Taĥzanūna  | Are the residents of paradise not the same people about whom you swore that Allah will never bestow His mercy on them?” Today the same people are being welcomed with the words, “Enter paradise, you have nothing to fear or to regret."[7.49] | أَهَاؤُلاَء الَّذِينَ أَقْسَمْتُمْ لاَ يَنَالُهُمُ اللَّهُ بِرَحْمَة ٍ ادْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ لاَ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلاَ أَنْتُمْ تَحْزَنُونَ |
Wa Nādá 'Aşĥābu An-Nāri 'Aşĥāba Al-Jannati 'An 'Afīđū `Alaynā Mina Al-Mā'i 'Aw Mimmā Razaqakumu Al-Lahu Qālū 'Inna Al-Laha Ĥarramahumā `Alá Al-Kāfirīna  | Then the inmates of the fire will cry out to the residents of paradise: “Give us some water or some of the food which Allah has provided you." They will reply: “Allah has prohibited both of these things to the unbelievers,[7.50] | وَنَادَى أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ أَصْحَابَ الْجَنَّةِ أَنْ أَفِيضُوا عَلَيْنَا مِنَ الْمَاءِ أَوْ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللَّهُ قَالُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ حَرَّمَهُمَا عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ |
Al-Ladhīna Attakhadhū Dīnahum Lahwan Wa La`ibāan Wa Gharrat/humu Al-Ĥayāatu Ad-Dunyā Fālyawma Nansāhum Kamā Nasū Liqā'a Yawmihim Hādhā Wa Mā Kānū Bi'āyātinā Yajĥadūna  | who took their religion to be mere amusement and play and were deceived by their earthly life." Allah will say: “Today We will forget them as they forgot the meeting of this Day; and mocked at Our revelations."[7.51] | الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا دِينَهُمْ لَهْوا ً وَلَعِبا ً وَغَرَّتْهُمُ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا فَالْيَوْمَ نَنسَاهُمْ كَمَا نَسُوا لِقَاءَ يَوْمِهِمْ هَذَا وَمَا كَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ |
Wa Laqad Ji'nāhum Bikitābin Faşşalnāhu `Alá `Ilmin Hudáan Wa Raĥmatan Liqawmin Yu'uminūna  | For We have certainly brought them a Book which provides clear details based on knowledge and which is a guidance and blessing for the true believers.[7.52] | وَلَقَدْ جِئْنَاهُمْ بِكِتَاب ٍ فَصَّلْنَاه ُُ عَلَى عِلْمٍ هُدى ً وَرَحْمَة ً لِقَوْم ٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ |
Hal Yanžurūna 'Illā Ta'wīlahu Yawma Ya'tī Ta'wīluhu Yaqūlu Al-Ladhīna Nasūhu Min Qablu Qad Jā'at Rusulu Rabbinā Bil-Ĥaqqi Fahal Lanā Min Shufa`ā'a Fayashfa`ū Lanā 'Aw Nuraddu Fana`mala Ghayra Al-Ladhī Kunnā Na`malu Qad Khasirū 'Anfusahum Wa Đalla `Anhum Mā Kānū Yaftarūna  | Now are these people waiting for anything other than the Day of Fulfillment (Day of Judgment)? When the Day of Fulfillment will come, those who have disregarded it, will say: “Indeed the Rasools of our Rabb had come with the truth. Are there any intercessors now, who could intercede on our behalf? Or could we be sent back so that we would not do as we have done before." In fact they would have lost their souls and the things they had invented will leave them in the lurch.[7.53] | هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلاَّ تَأْوِيلَه ُُ يَوْمَ يَأْتِي تَأْوِيلُه ُُ يَقُولُ الَّذِينَ نَسُوه ُُ مِنْ قَبْلُ قَدْ جَاءَتْ رُسُلُ رَبِّنَا بِالْحَقِّ فَهَلْ لَنَا مِنْ شُفَعَاءَ فَيَشْفَعُوا لَنَا أَوْ نُرَدُّ فَنَعْمَلَ غَيْرَ الَّذِي كُنَّا نَعْمَلُ قَدْ خَسِرُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ |
'Inna Rabbakumu Al-Lahu Al-Ladhī Khalaqa As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Fī Sittati 'Ayyāmin Thumma Astawá `Alá Al-`Arshi Yughshī Al-Layla An-Nahāra Yaţlubuhu Ĥathīthāan Wa Ash-Shamsa Wa Al-Qamara Wa An-Nujūma Musakhkharātin Bi'amrihi 'Alā Lahu Al-Khalqu Wa Al-'Amru Tabāraka Al-Lahu Rabbu Al-`Ālamīna  | Surely your Rabb is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth in six Yُme (time periods) and is firmly established on the throne of authority. He makes the night cover the day and the day follow the night automatically. He created the sun, the moon and the stars, and made them subservient to His will. Take note: His is the creation, and His is the command. Blessed is Allah, the Rabb of the worlds![7.54] | إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّام ٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى عَلَى الْعَرْشِ يُغْشِي اللَّيْلَ النَّهَارَ يَطْلُبُه ُُ حَثِيثا ً وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ وَالنُّجُومَ مُسَخَّرَات ٍ بِأَمْرِهِ~ِ أَلاَ لَهُ الْخَلْقُ وَالأَمْرُ تَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ |
Ad`ū Rabbakum Tađarru`āan Wa Khufyatan 'Innahu Lā Yuĥibbu Al-Mu`tadīna  | Call on your Rabb with humility and in private; for He does not love the transgressors.[7.55] | ادْعُوا رَبَّكُمْ تَضَرُّعا ً وَخُفْيَة ً إِنَّهُ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْمُعْتَدِينَ |
Wa Lā Tufsidū Fī Al-'Arđi Ba`da 'Işlāĥihā Wa Ad`ūhu Khawfāan Wa Ţama`āan 'Inna Raĥmata Al-Lahi Qarībun Mina Al-Muĥsinīna  | Do not create mischief in the land after it has been set in order. Pray to Him with fear and hope. Surely the mercy of Allah is always close to those who do good to others.[7.56] | وَلاَ تُفْسِدُوا فِي الأَرْضِ بَعْدَ إِصْلاَحِهَا وَادْعُوه ُُ خَوْفا ً وَطَمَعا ً إِنَّ رَحْمَتَ اللَّهِ قَرِيب ٌ مِنَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ |
Wa Huwa Al-Ladhī Yursilu Ar-Riyāĥa Bushrāan Bayna Yaday Raĥmatihi Ĥattá 'Idhā 'Aqallat Saĥābāan Thiqālāan Suqnāhu Libaladin Mayyitin Fa'anzalnā Bihi Al-Mā'a Fa'akhrajnā Bihi Min Kulli Ath-Thamarāti Kadhālika Nukhriju Al-Mawtá La`allakum Tadhakkarūna  | He is the One Who sends the winds bearing good news of His blessings, so when they lift up heavy clouds, We drive them along to a dead countryside and make the rain fall upon it and bring forth all kinds of fruits from the same dead land. Likewise We will raise the dead to life; this example is given so that you may learn a lesson from this observation.[7.57] | وَهُوَ الَّذِي يُرْسِلُ الرِّيَاحَ بُشْرا ً بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَحْمَتِه ِِ حَتَّى إِذَا أَقَلَّتْ سَحَابا ً ثِقَالا ً سُقْنَاه ُُ لِبَلَد ٍ مَيِّت ٍ فَأَنزَلْنَا بِهِ الْمَاءَ فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِه ِِ مِنْ كُلِّ الثَّمَرَاتِ كَذَلِكَ نُخْرِجُ الْمَوْتَى لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ |
Wa Al-Baladu Aţ-Ţayyibu Yakhruju Nabātuhu Bi'idhni Rabbihi Wa Al-Ladhī Khabutha Lā Yakhruju 'Illā Nakidāan Kadhālika Nuşarrifu Al-'Āyāti Liqawmin Yashkurūna  | The good soil yields rich produce by the permission of Allah and barren soil yields nothing but poor produce. Thus do We explain Our revelations over and over again for those who pay thanks.[7.58] | وَالْبَلَدُ الطَّيِّبُ يَخْرُجُ نَبَاتُه ُُ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّه ِِ وَالَّذِي خَبُثَ لاَ يَخْرُجُ إِلاَّ نَكِدا ً كَذَلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ الآيَاتِ لِقَوْم ٍ يَشْكُرُونَ |
Laqad 'Arsalnā Nūĥāan 'Ilá Qawmihi Faqāla Yā Qawmi A`budū Al-Laha Mā Lakum Min 'Ilahin Ghayruhu 'Innī 'Akhāfu `Alaykum `Adhāba Yawmin `Ažīmin  | Indeed We selected Nüh for the guidance of his people, and he said: “O my people! Worship Allah, you have no god but Him. If you do not listen to what I say, I fear for you the punishment of a Mighty Day."[7.59] | لَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحا ً إِلَى قَوْمِه ِِ فَقَالَ يَاقَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ إِلَه ٍٍ غَيْرُهُ~ُ إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيم ٍ |
Qāla Al-Mala'u Min Qawmihi 'Innā Lanarāka Fī Đalālin Mubīnin  | The chiefs of his nation said: “Surely we see that you are in evident error.”[7.60] | قَالَ الْمَلَأُ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ~ِ إِنَّا لَنَرَاكَ فِي ضَلاَل ٍ مُبِين ٍ |
Qāla Yā Qawmi Laysa Bī Đalālatun Wa Lakinnī Rasūlun Min Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna  | He replied: “O my people! I am not in error; on the contrary, I am a Rasool from the Rabb of the worlds.[7.61] | قَالَ يَاقَوْمِ لَيْسَ بِي ضَلاَلَة ٌ وَلَكِنِّي رَسُول ٌ مِنْ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ |
'Uballighukum Risālāti Rabbī Wa 'Anşaĥu Lakum Wa 'A`lamu Mina Al-Lahi Mā Lā Ta`lamūna  |
