'Alif-Lām-Mīm  | Alif L'مm M'ïm[3.1] | أَلِف-لَام-مِيم |
Al-Lahu Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa Al-Ĥayyu Al-Qayyūmu  | Allah! There is no god but Him; the Living, the Eternal.[3.2] | اللَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ~َ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ |
Nazzala `Alayka Al-Kitāba Bil-Ĥaqqi Muşaddiqāan Limā Bayna Yadayhi Wa 'Anzala At-Tawrāata Wa Al-'Injīla  | He has revealed to you this Book with the Truth, confirming the scripture which preceded it, as He revealed the Taurمt (Torah) and Injeel (Gospel),[3.3] | نَزَّلَ عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ مُصَدِّقا ً لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَأَنْزَلَ التَّوْرَاةَ وَالإِنْجِيلَ |
Min Qablu Hudáan Lilnnāsi Wa 'Anzala Al-Furqāna 'Inna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Bi'āyāti Al-Lahi Lahum `Adhābun Shadīdun Wa Allāhu `Azīzun Dhū Antiqāmin  | before this, as a guidance for mankind and also revealed this Al-Furqمn (criterion for judgment between right and wrong). Surely those who reject Allah’s revelations will be sternly punished; Allah is Mighty, capable of retribution.[3.4] | مِنْ قَبْلُ هُدى ً لِلنَّاسِ وَأَنْزَلَ الْفُرْقَانَ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ لَهُمْ عَذَاب ٌ شَدِيد ٌ وَاللَّهُ عَزِيز ٌ ذُو انْتِقَام ٍ |
'Inna Al-Laha Lā Yakhfá `Alayhi Shay'un Fī Al-'Arđi Wa Lā Fī As-Samā'i  | For sure nothing in the earth or in the heavens is hidden from Allah.[3.5] | إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَخْفَى عَلَيْهِ شَيْء ٌ فِي الأَرْضِ وَلاَ فِي السَّمَاءِ |
Huwa Al-Ladhī Yuşawwirukum Fī Al-'Arĥāmi Kayfa Yashā'u Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa Al-`Azīzu Al-Ĥakīmu  | It is He Who shapes your bodies in the wombs of your mothers as He pleases. There is no god but Him; the Mighty, the Wise.[3.6] | هُوَ الَّذِي يُصَوِّرُكُمْ فِي الأَرْحَامِ كَيْفَ يَشَاءُ لاَ إِلَهَ~َ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ |
Huwa Al-Ladhī 'Anzala `Alayka Al-Kitāba Minhu 'Āyātun Muĥkamātun Hunna 'Ummu Al-Kitābi Wa 'Ukharu Mutashābihātun Fa'ammā Al-Ladhīna Fī Qulūbihim Zayghun Fayattabi`ūna Mā Tashābaha Minhu Abtighā'a Al-Fitnati Wa Abtighā'a Ta'wīlihi Wa Mā Ya`lamu Ta'wīlahu 'Illā Al-Lahu Wa Ar-Rāsikhūna Fī Al-`Ilmi Yaqūlūna 'Āmannā Bihi Kullun Min `Indi Rabbinā Wa Mā Yadhdhakkaru 'Illā 'Ūlū Al-'Albābi  | He is the One Who has revealed to you the Book. Some of its verses are decisive - they are the foundation of the Book - while others are allegorical. Those whose hearts are infected with disbelief follow the allegorical part to mislead others and to give it their own interpretation, seeking for its hidden meanings, but no one knows its hidden meanings except Allah. Those who are well grounded in knowledge say: “We believe in it; it is all from our Rabb." None will take heed except the people of understanding.[3.7] | هُوَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلَ عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ مِنْهُ آيَات ٌ مُحْكَمَاتٌ هُنَّ أُمُّ الْكِتَابِ وَأُخَرُ مُتَشَابِهَات ٌ فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ زَيْغ ٌ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ مَا تَشَابَه ََ مِنْهُ ابْتِغَاءَ الْفِتْنَةِ وَابْتِغَاءَ تَأْوِيلِه ِِ وَمَا يَعْلَمُ تَأْوِيلَهُ~ُ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَالرَّاسِخُونَ فِي الْعِلْمِ يَقُولُونَ آمَنَّا بِه ِِ كُلّ ٌ مِنْ عِنْدِ رَبِّنَا وَمَا يَذَّكَّرُ إِلاَّ أُوْلُوا الأَلْبَابِ |
Rabbanā Lā Tuzigh Qulūbanā Ba`da 'Idh Hadaytanā Wa Hab Lanā Min Ladunka Raĥmatan 'Innaka 'Anta Al-Wahhābu  | They say: "Our Rabb, do not let our hearts deviate from the truth after you have guided us, and grant us Your own mercy; You are the Grantor of bounties without measure.[3.8] | رَبَّنَا لاَ تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَة ً إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ |
Rabbanā 'Innaka Jāmi`u An-Nāsi Liyawmin Lā Rayba Fīhi 'Inna Al-Laha Lā Yukhlifu Al-Mī`āda  | Our Rabb, You will surely gather all mankind before You on the Day about which there is no doubt; surely Allah does not break His promise."[3.9] | رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ جَامِعُ النَّاسِ لِيَوْم ٍ لاَ رَيْبَ فِيهِ~ِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ |
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Lan Tughniya `Anhum 'Amwāluhum Wa Lā 'Awlāduhum Mina Al-Lahi Shay'āan Wa 'Ūlā'ika Hum Wa Qūdu An-Nāri  | Surely neither their wealth nor their children will save the unbelievers from the wrath of Allah: they are the ones who will become the fuel for hellfire.[3.10] | إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَنْ تُغْنِيَ عَنْهُمْ أَمْوَالُهُمْ وَلاَ أَوْلاَدُهُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئا ً وَأُوْلَائِكَ هُمْ وَقُودُ النَّارِ |
Kada'bi 'Āli Fir`awna Wa Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim Kadhdhabū Bi'āyātinā Fa'akhadhahumu Al-Lahu Bidhunūbihim Wa Allāhu Shadīdu Al-`Iqābi  | Their end will be the same as that of the people of Fir‘on (Pharaoh) and their predecessors who denied Our revelations, so Allah called them to account for their sins. Allah is strict in retribution.[3.11] | كَدَأْبِ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ وَالَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا فَأَخَذَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَاللَّهُ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ |
Qul Lilladhīna Kafarū Satughlabūna Wa Tuĥsharūna 'Ilá Jahannama Wa Bi'sa Al-Mihādu  | O Muhammad, say to the unbelievers: “Soon you will be overpowered and driven together to Hell - which is a horrible refuge.[3.12] | قُلْ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا سَتُغْلَبُونَ وَتُحْشَرُونَ إِلَى جَهَنَّمَ وَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ |
Qad Kāna Lakum 'Āyatun Fī Fi'atayni At-Taqatā Fi'atun Tuqātilu Fī Sabīli Al-Lahi Wa 'Ukhrá Kāfiratun Yarawnahum Mithlayhim Ra'ya Al-`Ayni Wa Allāhu Yu'uayyidu Binaşrihi Man Yashā'u 'Inna Fī Dhālika La`ibratan Li'wlī Al-'Abşāri  | Indeed there was a sign (lesson) for you in the two armies which met on the battlefield (of Badr): one was fighting for the cause of Allah and the other had rejected Allah; the believers saw with their own eyes that the unbelievers were twice their number. But the result of the battle proved that Allah strengthens with His own aid whom He pleases. Surely there is a lesson in this for those who have sight.[3.13] | قَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ آيَة ٌ فِي فِئَتَيْنِ الْتَقَتَا فِئَة ٌ تُقَاتِلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَأُخْرَى كَافِرَة ٌ يَرَوْنَهُمْ مِثْلَيْهِمْ رَأْيَ الْعَيْنِ وَاللَّهُ يُؤَيِّدُ بِنَصْرِه ِِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَعِبْرَة ً لِأوْلِي الأَبْصَارِ |
Zuyyina Lilnnāsi Ĥubbu Ash-Shahawāti Mina An-Nisā' Wa Al-Banīna Wa Al-Qanāţīri Al-Muqanţarati Mina Adh-Dhahabi Wa Al-Fiđđati Wa Al-Khayli Al-Musawwamati Wa Al-'An`āmi Wa Al-Ĥarthi Dhālika Matā`u Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa Allāhu `Indahu Ĥusnu Al-Ma'ābi  | The life of men is tempted by love and desire for women, children, the hoarding of treasures of gold and silver, branded horses, wealth of cattle and plantations. These are the comforts for the transitory life of this world; the everlasting best comfort, however, is with Allah.[3.14] | زُيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ الشَّهَوَاتِ مِنَ النِسَاء وَالْبَنِينَ وَالْقَنَاطِيرِ الْمُقَنْطَرَةِ مِنَ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَالْخَيْلِ الْمُسَوَّمَةِ وَالأَنعَامِ وَالْحَرْثِ ذَلِكَ مَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَاللَّهُ عِنْدَه ُُ حُسْنُ الْمَآبِ |
Qul 'A'uunabbi'ukum Bikhayrin Min Dhālikum Lilladhīna Attaqaw `Inda Rabbihim Jannātun Tajrī Min Taĥtihā Al-'Anhāru Khālidīna Fīhā Wa 'Azwājun Muţahharatun Wa Riđwānun Mina Al-Lahi Wa Allāhu Başīrun Bil-`Ibādi  | Say : “Shall I tell you of better things than these, with which the righteous will be rewarded by their Rabb? There will be gardens beneath which rivers flow, where they will live forever with spouses of perfect chastity and the good pleasure of Allah. Allah is watching His servants very closely."[3.15] | قُلْ أَؤُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِخَيْر ٍ مِنْ ذَلِكُمْ لِلَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّات ٌ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَأَزْوَاج ٌ مُطَهَّرَة ٌ وَرِضْوَان ٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ بَصِير ٌ بِالْعِبَادِ |
Al-Ladhīna Yaqūlūna Rabbanā 'Innanā 'Āmannā Fāghfir Lanā Dhunūbanā Wa Qinā `Adhāba An-Nāri  | The righteous people are those who pray: “Our Rabb! We sincerely believe in You: please forgive our sins and save us from the agony of the hellfire;”[3.16] | الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا إِنَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ |
Aş-Şābirīna Wa Aş-Şādiqīna Wa Al-Qānitīna Wa Al-Munfiqīna Wa Al-Mustaghfirīna Bil-'Asĥāri  | who are steadfast, sincere, obedient, and charitable, and who pray for forgiveness in the morning time.[3.17] | الصَّابِرِينَ وَالصَّادِقِينَ وَالْقَانِتِينَ وَالْمُنْفِقِينَ وَالْمُسْتَغْفِرِينَ بِالأَسْحَارِ |
Shahida Al-Lahu 'Annahu Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa Wa Al-Malā'ikatu Wa 'Ūlū Al-`Ilmi Qā'imāan Bil-Qisţi Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa Al-`Azīzu Al-Ĥakīmu  | Allah Himself has testified to the fact that there is no god but Him and so do the angels and those who are well grounded in knowledge standing firm on justice. There is no Ilah (God) except Him, the Mighty, the Wise.[3.18] | شَهِدَ اللَّهُ أَنَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ~َ إِلاَّ هُوَ وَالْمَلاَئِكَةُ وَأُوْلُوا الْعِلْمِ قَائِما ً بِالْقِسْطِ لاَ إِلَهَ~َ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ |
'Inna Ad-Dīna `Inda Al-Lahi Al-'Islāmu Wa Mā Akhtalafa Al-Ladhīna 'Ūtū Al-Kitāba 'Illā Min Ba`di Mā Jā'ahumu Al-`Ilmu Baghyāan Baynahum Wa Man Yakfur Bi'āyāti Al-Lahi Fa'inna Al-Laha Sarī`u Al-Ĥisābi  | Surely the only Deen (true religion and the Right Way of life) in the sight of Allah is Al-Islam. Those to whom the Book was given did not adopt ways different than this except out of envy among themselves, and after true knowledge had come to them. They should know that Allah is swift in calling to account those who deny His revelations.[3.19] | إِنَّ الدِّينَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ الإِسْلاَمُ وَمَا اخْتَلَفَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ إِلاَّ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَهُمُ الْعِلْمُ بَغْيا ً بَيْنَهُمْ وَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ |
Fa'in Ĥājjūka Faqul 'Aslamtu Wajhiya Lillahi Wa Mani Attaba`ani Wa Qul Lilladhīna 'Ūtū Al-Kitāba Wa Al-'Ummīyīna 'A'aslamtum Fa'in 'Aslamū Faqadi Ahtadaw Wa 'In Tawallaw Fa'innamā `Alayka Al-Balāghu Wa Allāhu Başīrun Bil-`Ibādi  | So if they argue with you (O Muhammad), tell them: “I have submitted myself entirely to Allah and so have those who follow me." Then ask those who are given the Book and those who are illiterate: “Will you also submit yourselves to Allah?” If they become Muslims they shall be rightly guided but if they turn back, you need not worry, because your sole responsibility is to convey the Message. Allah is watching all His servants very closely.[3.20] | فَإِنْ حَاجُّوكَ فَقُلْ أَسْلَمْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّهِ وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَنِ وَقُلْ لِلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ وَالأُمِّيِّينَ أَأَسْلَمْتُمْ فَإِنْ أَسْلَمُوا فَقَدِ اهْتَدَوا وَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ الْبَلاَغُ وَاللَّهُ بَصِير ٌ بِالْعِبَادِ |
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Yakfurūna Bi'āyāti Al-Lahi Wa Yaqtulūna An-Nabīyīna Bighayri Ĥaqqin Wa Yaqtulūna Al-Ladhīna Ya'murūna Bil-Qisţi Mina An-Nāsi Fabashshirhum Bi`adhābin 'Alīmin  | Give a warning to those who deny Allah’s revelations, who slay the Prophets without any justification, and who kill those from among the people who enjoin justice, that there is a painful punishment for them.[3.21] | إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ النَّبِيِّينَ بِغَيْرِ حَقّ ٍ وَيَقْتُلُونَ الَّذِينَ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْقِسْطِ مِنَ النَّاسِ فَبَشِّرْهُمْ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيم ٍ |
'Ūlā'ika Al-Ladhīna Ĥabiţat 'A`māluhum Fī Ad-Dunyā Wa Al-'Ākhirati Wa Mā Lahum Min Nāşirīna  | They are the ones whose deeds will become void in this world and in the Hereafter, and they will have no helpers.[3.22] | أُوْلَائِكَ الَّذِينَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَمَا لَهُمْ مِنْ نَاصِرِينَ |
'Alam Tara 'Ilá Al-Ladhīna 'Ūtū Naşībāan Mina Al-Kitābi Yud`awna 'Ilá Kitābi Al-Lahi Liyaĥkuma Baynahum Thumma Yatawallá Farīqun Minhum Wa Hum Mu`riđūna  | Have you not seen the behavior of those (Jews) who have been given a portion of the Book? When they are invited to settle their disputes according to the Book of Allah, some of them turn back and decline.[3.23] | أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا نَصِيبا ً مِنَ الْكِتَابِ يُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى كِتَابِ اللَّهِ لِيَحْكُمَ بَيْنَهُمْ ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّى فَرِيق ٌ مِنْهُمْ وَهُمْ مُعْرِضُونَ |
Dhālika Bi'annahum Qālū Lan Tamassanā An-Nāru 'Illā 'Ayyāmāan Ma`dūdātin Wa Gharrahum Fī Dīnihim Mā Kānū Yaftarūna  | This is because they say: “The fire of Hell shall not touch us; even if it does, it will be for a few days." In their religion they are deceived by their own self-invented beliefs.[3.24] | ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا لَنْ تَمَسَّنَا النَّارُ إِلاَّ أَيَّاما ً مَعْدُودَات ٍ وَغَرَّهُمْ فِي دِينِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ |
Fakayfa 'Idhā Jama`nāhum Liyawmin Lā Rayba Fīhi Wa Wuffiyat Kullu Nafsin Mā Kasabat Wa Hum Lā Yužlamūna  | What will they do when We will gather them together on the Day which is sure to come, when every soul will be given what it has earned and there shall be no injustice?[3.25] | فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جَمَعْنَاهُمْ لِيَوْم ٍ لاَ رَيْبَ فِيه ِِ وَوُفِّيَتْ كُلُّ نَفْس ٍ مَا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لاَ يُظْلَمُونَ |
Quli Al-Lahumma Mālika Al-Mulki Tu'utī Al-Mulka Man Tashā'u Wa Tanzi`u Al-Mulka Mimman Tashā'u Wa Tu`izzu Man Tashā'u Wa Tudhillu Man Tashā'u Biyadika Al-Khayru 'Innaka `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun  | Say: “O Allah! Master of all the Kingship, You give the kingdom to whom You please and take away the kingdom from whomsoever You please; You give honor to whom You please and disgrace whom You please; all the good is in Your hand; surely You have power over everything.[3.26] | قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ مَالِكَ الْمُلْكِ تُؤْتِي الْمُلْكَ مَنْ تَشَاءُ وَتَنْزِعُ الْمُلْكَ مِمَّنْ تَشَاءُ وَتُعِزُّ مَنْ تَشَاءُ وَتُذِلُّ مَنْ تَشَاءُ بِيَدِكَ الْخَيْرُ إِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ قَدِير ٌ |
Tūliju Al-Layla Fī An-Nahāri Wa Tūliju An-Nahāra Fī Al-Layli Wa Tukhriju Al-Ĥayya Mina Al-Mayyiti Wa Tukhriju Al-Mayyita Mina Al-Ĥayyi Wa Tarzuqu Man Tashā'u Bighayri Ĥisābin  | You cause the night to pass into the day and You cause the day to pass into the night; You draw the living from the dead and You draw the dead from the living; and You provide sustenance for anyone You wish without measure."[3.27] | تُولِجُ اللَّيْلَ فِي النَّهَارِ وَتُولِجُ النَّهَارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَتُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَتُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتَ مِنَ الْحَيِّ وَتَرْزُقُ مَنْ تَشَاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَاب ٍ |
Lā Yattakhidhi Al-Mu'uminūna Al-Kāfirīna 'Awliyā'a Min Dūni Al-Mu'uminīna Wa Man Yaf`al Dhālika Falaysa Mina Al-Lahi Fī Shay'in 'Illā 'An Tattaqū Minhum Tuqāatan Wa Yuĥadhdhirukumu Al-Lahu Nafsahu Wa 'Ilá Al-Lahi Al-Maşīru  | Let not the believers make unbelievers their protectors rather than the believers; anyone who does so will have nothing to hope for from Allah - except if you do so as a precaution to guard yourselves against their tyranny. Anyhow, Allah warns you to fear Him: because with Allah is your final refuge.[3.28] | لاَ يَتَّخِذِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ الْكَافِرِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِنْ دُونِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَمَنْ يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ فَلَيْسَ مِنَ اللَّهِ فِي شَيْء ٍ إِلاَّ أَنْ تَتَّقُوا مِنْهُمْ تُقَاة ً وَيُحَذِّرُكُمُ اللَّهُ نَفْسَه ُُ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ الْمَصِيرُ |
Qul 'In Tukhfū Mā Fī Şudūrikum 'Aw Tubdūhu Ya`lamhu Al-Lahu Wa Ya`lamu Mā Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Mā Fī Al-'Arđi Wa Allāhu `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun  | Say: “Whether you conceal what is in your heart or reveal it, it is known to Allah.[3.29] | قُلْ إِنْ تُخْفُوا مَا فِي صُدُورِكُمْ أَوْ تُبْدُوه ُُ يَعْلَمْهُ اللَّهُ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ وَاللَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ قَدِير ٌ |
Yawma Tajidu Kullu Nafsin Mā `Amilat Min Khayrin Muĥđarāan Wa Mā `Amilat Min Sū'in Tawaddu Law 'Anna Baynahā Wa Baynahu 'Amadāan Ba`īdāan Wa Yuĥadhdhirukumu Al-Lahu Nafsahu Wa Allāhu Ra'ūfun Bil-`Ibādi  | He knows whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. Allah has full power over everything. On the Day of Judgment, when every soul will be confronted with whatever good it has done - as for its evil deeds, it will wish they were a long way off. Allah cautions you to beware of Him. Allah is full of kindness towards His devotees.[3.30] | يَوْمَ تَجِدُ كُلُّ نَفْس ٍ مَا عَمِلَتْ مِنْ خَيْر ٍ مُحْضَرا ً وَمَا عَمِلَتْ مِنْ سُوء ٍ تَوَدُّ لَوْ أَنَّ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَهُ~ُ أَمَدا ً بَعِيدا ً وَيُحَذِّرُكُمُ اللَّهُ نَفْسَه ُُ وَاللَّهُ رَءُوف ٌ بِالْعِبَادِ |
Qul 'In Kuntum Tuĥibbūna Al-Laha Fa Attabi`ūnī Yuĥbibkumu Al-Lahu Wa Yaghfir Lakum Dhunūbakum Wa Allāhu Ghafūrun Raĥīmun  | Tell the people O Muhammad: “If you sincerely love Allah, then follow me; Allah will also love you and forgive you your sins. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.”[3.31] | قُلْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ اللَّهَ فَاتَّبِعُونِي يُحْبِبْكُمُ اللَّهُ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ وَاللَّهُ غَفُور ٌ رَحِيم ٌ |
Qul 'Aţī`ū Al-Laha Wa Ar-Rasūla Fa'in Tawallaw Fa'inna Al-Laha Lā Yuĥibbu Al-Kāfirīna  | Also tell them, "Obey Allah and His Rasool." Inspite of this, if they turn back, then warn them, that Allah does not love the disbelievers.[3.32] | قُلْ أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ |
'Inna Al-Laha Aşţafá 'Ādama Wa Nūĥāan Wa 'Āla 'Ibrāhīma Wa 'Āla `Imrān `Alá Al-`Ālamīna  | Indeed Allah exalted Adam, Nüh (Noah), the family of Ibrمhïm (Abraham) and the family of Imrمn above all the worlds.[3.33] | إِنَّ اللَّهَ اصْطَفَى آدَمَ وَنُوحا ً وَآلَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَآلَ عِمرَان عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ |
Dhurrīyatan Ba`đuhā Min Ba`đin Wa Allāhu Samī`un `Alīmun  | They were the offsprings of one another. Allah hears all and knows all.[3.34] | ذُرِّيَّة ً بَعْضُهَا مِنْ بَعْض ٍ وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيم ٌ |
'Idh Qālati Amra'atu `Imrāna Rabbi 'Innī Nadhartu Laka Mā Fī Baţnī Muĥarrarāan Fataqabbal Minnī 'Innaka 'Anta As-Samī`u Al-`Alīmu  | Allah heard when the wife of `Imrمn said, “O my Rabb! I dedicate to Your service what is in my womb. Please accept it from me. You Alone hear all and know all."[3.35] | إِذْ قَالَتِ امْرَأَةُ عِمْرَانَ رَبِّ إِنِّي نَذَرْتُ لَكَ مَا فِي بَطْنِي مُحَرَّرا ً فَتَقَبَّلْ مِنِّي إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ |
Falammā Wađa`at/hā Qālat Rabbi 'Innī Wađa`tuhā 'Unthá Wa Allāhu 'A`lamu Bimā Wađa`at Wa Laysa Adh-Dhakaru Kāl'unthá Wa 'Innī Sammaytuhā Maryama Wa 'Innī 'U`īdhuhā Bika Wa Dhurrīyatahā Mina Ash-Shayţāni Ar-Rajīmi  | When she gave birth to a girl instead of a boy, she said: “My Rabb! I have given birth to a girl,” - Allah knew very well what she had delivered - "and that the male is not like the female, I have named her Maryam (Mary) and I seek Your protection for her and her children from the mischief of Shaitمn, the accursed."[3.36] | فَلَمَّا وَضَعَتْهَا قَالَتْ رَبِّ إِنِّي وَضَعْتُهَا أُنْثَى وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا وَضَعَتْ وَلَيْسَ الذَّكَرُ كَالأُنْثَى وَإِنِّي سَمَّيْتُهَا مَرْيَمَ وَإِنِّي أُعِيذُهَا بِكَ وَذُرِّيَّتَهَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ |
Fataqabbalahā Rabbuhā Biqabūlin Ĥasanin Wa 'Anbatahā Nabātāan Ĥasanāan Wa Kaffalahā Zakarīyā Kullamā Dakhala `Alayhā Zakarīyā Al-Miĥrāba Wajada `Indahā Rizqāan Qāla Yā Maryamu 'Anná Laki Hādhā Qālat Huwa Min `Indi Al-Lahi 'Inna Al-Laha Yarzuqu Man Yashā'u Bighayri Ĥisābin  | Her Rabb graciously accepted that girl. He made her grow up as a good girl and entrusted her to the care of Zakariya. Whenever Zakariya entered the sanctuary to see her, he found with her food. He asked, “O Maryam! From where did you get it?” She replied, “It came from Allah. In fact, Allah gives to whom He wants without measure."[3.37] | فَتَقَبَّلَهَا رَبُّهَا بِقَبُولٍ حَسَن ٍ وَأَنْبَتَهَا نَبَاتاً حَسَنا ً وَكَفَّلَهَا زَكَرِيَّا كُلَّمَا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا زَكَرِيَّا الْمِحْرَابَ وَجَدَ عِنْدَهَا رِزْقا ً قَالَ يَا مَرْيَمُ أَنَّى لَكِ هَذَا قَالَتْ هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَرْزُقُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَاب ٍ |
Hunālika Da`ā Zakarīyā Rabbahu Qāla Rabbi Hab Lī Min Ladunka Dhurrīyatan Ţayyibatan 'Innaka Samī`u Ad-Du`ā'i  | Thereupon Zakariya prayed to his Rabb saying: “O my Rabb! Grant me a righteous child as Your special favor; surely You hear all prayers."[3.38] | هُنَالِكَ دَعَا زَكَرِيَّا رَبَّه ُُ قَالَ رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ ذُرِّيَّة ً طَيِّبَة ً إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ |
Fanādat/hu Al-Malā'ikatu Wa Huwa Qā'imun Yuşallī Fī Al-Miĥrābi 'Anna Al-Laha Yubashshiruka Biyaĥyá Muşaddiqāan Bikalimatin Mina Al-Lahi Wa Sayyidāan Wa Ĥaşūrāan Wa Nabīyāan Mina Aş-Şāliĥīna  | As he stood praying in the Mahrمb (a prayer place in the sanctuary) the angels called out to him saying: “Allah gives you good news of a son to be named Yahya (John), he will confirm the word of Allah, he will be a great leader, chaste and a Prophet from among the righteous."[3.39] | فَنَادَتْهُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ وَهُوَ قَائِم ٌ يُصَلِّي فِي الْمِحْرَابِ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يُبَشِّرُكَ بِيَحْيَى مُصَدِّقا ً بِكَلِمَة ٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَسَيِّدا ً وَحَصُورا ً وَنَبِيّا ً مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ |
Qāla Rabbi 'Anná Yakūnu Lī Ghulāmun Wa Qad Balaghaniya Al-Kibaru Wa Amra'atī `Āqirun Qāla Kadhālika Al-Lahu Yaf`alu Mā Yashā'u  | He said: “O my Rabb! How can I have a son now that I have reached an old age and my wife is barren?” “Such is the will of Allah” he replied, “ Allah does what He wants."[3.40] | قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّى يَكُونُ لِي غُلاَم ٌ وَقَدْ بَلَغَنِيَ الْكِبَرُ وَامْرَأَتِي عَاقِر ٌ قَالَ كَذَلِكَ اللَّهُ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَاءُ |
Qāla Rabbi Aj`al Lī 'Āyatan Qāla 'Āyatuka 'Allā Tukallima An-Nāsa Thalāthata 'Ayyāmin 'Illā Ramzāan Wa Adhkur Rabbaka Kathīrāan Wa Sabbiĥ Bil-`Ashīyi Wa Al-'Ibkāri  | Zakariya said: “My Rabb! Grant me a sign." It was said: “Your sign is that you will not be able to speak to people for three days except through gestures. During this time you should remember your Rabb very much and glorify Him in the evening and in the morning."[3.41] | قَالَ رَبِّ اجْعَلْ لِي آيَة ً قَالَ آيَتُكَ أَلاَّ تُكَلِّمَ النَّاسَ ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّام ٍ إِلاَّ رَمْزا ً وَاذْكُرْ رَبَّكَ كَثِيرا ً وَسَبِّحْ بِالْعَشِيِّ وَالإِبْكَارِ |
Wa 'Idh Qālati Al-Malā'ikatu Yā Maryamu 'Inna Al-Laha Aşţafāki Wa Ţahharaki Wa Aşţafāki `Alá Nisā'i Al-`Ālamīna  | There came the time when angels said: “O Maryam! Surely Allah has exalted you, purified you, and preferred you for His service over all the women of the worlds.[3.42] | وَإِذْ قَالَتِ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ يَا مَرْيَمُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ اصْطَفَاكِ وَطَهَّرَكِ وَاصْطَفَاكِ عَلَى نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ |
Yā Maryamu Aqnutī Lirabbiki Wa Asjudī Wa Arka`ī Ma`a Ar-Rāki`īna  | O Maryam! Be obedient to your Rabb, prostrate and bow down in worship with other worshippers."[3.43] | يَا مَرْيَمُ اقْنُتِي لِرَبِّكِ وَاسْجُدِي وَارْكَعِي مَعَ الرَّاكِعِينَ |
Dhālika Min 'Nbā'i Al-Ghaybi Nūĥīhi 'Ilayka Wa Mā Kunta Ladayhim 'Idh Yulqūna 'Aqlāmahum 'Ayyuhum Yakfulu Maryama Wa Mā Kunta Ladayhim 'Idh Yakhtaşimūna  | O Muhammad, this is the news from the Unseen which We are revealing to you. You were not present with them when priests of the temple cast their pens to decide which of them should be the guardian of Maryam; nor were you with them when they argued about it.[3.44] | ذَلِكَ مِنْ أنْبَاءِ الْغَيْبِ نُوحِيهِ~ِ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا كُنْتَ لَدَيْهِمْ إِذْ يُلْقُونَ أَقْلاَمَهُمْ أَيُّهُمْ يَكْفُلُ مَرْيَمَ وَمَا كُنْتَ لَدَيْهِمْ إِذْ يَخْتَصِمُونَ |
'Idh Qālati Al-Malā'ikatu Yā Maryamu 'Inna Al-Laha Yubashshiruki Bikalimatin Minhu Asmuhu Al-Masīĥu `Īsá Abnu Maryama Wajīhāan Fī Ad-Dunyā Wa Al-'Ākhirati Wa Mina Al-Muqarrabīna  | When the angels said “O Maryam! Allah gives you the good news with a Word from Him that you will be given a son: his name will be Messiah, Isa (Jesus Christ) the son of Maryam. He will be noble in this world and the Hereafter; and he will be from those who are very close to Allah. [3.45] | إِذْ قَالَتِ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ يَامَرْيَمُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُبَشِّرُكِ بِكَلِمَة ٍ مِنْهُ اسْمُهُ الْمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ وَجِيها ً فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ |
Wa Yukallimu An-Nāsa Fī Al-Mahdi Wa Kahlāan Wa Mina Aş-Şāliĥīna  | He will speak to the people in the cradle and in his old age and he will be among the righteous."[3.46] | وَيُكَلِّمُ النَّاسَ فِي الْمَهْدِ وَكَهْلا ً وَمِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ |
Qālat Rabbi 'Anná Yakūnu Lī Waladun Wa Lam Yamsasnī Basharun Qāla Kadhāliki Al-Lahu Yakhluqu Mā Yashā'u 'Idhā Qađá 'Amrāan Fa'innamā Yaqūlu Lahu Kun Fayakūnu  | Hearing this, Maryam said, “O my Rabb! How can I have a son when no man has ever touched me?” He replied, “Even so, Allah creates however He wants; whenever He decides to do anything, He only says to it, 'Be,' and it is![3.47] | قَالَتْ رَبِّ أَنَّى يَكُونُ لِي وَلَد ٌ وَلَمْ يَمْسَسْنِي بَشَر ٌ قَالَ كَذَلِكِ اللَّهُ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ إِذَا قَضَى أَمْرا ً فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَه ُُ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ |
Wa Yu`allimuhu Al-Kitāba Wa Al-Ĥikmata Wa At-Tawrāata Wa Al-'Injīla  | Allah will teach your son the Book, the Wisdom, the Taurمt (Torah), and the Injeel (Gospel)[3.48] | وَيُعَلِّمُهُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَالتَّوْرَاةَ وَالإِنجِيلَ |
Wa Rasūlāan 'Ilá Banī 'Isrā'īla 'Annī Qad Ji'tukum Bi'āyatin Min Rabbikum 'Annī 'Akhluqu Lakum Mina Aţ-Ţīni Kahay'ati Aţ-Ţayri Fa'anfukhu Fīhi Fayakūnu Ţayrāan Bi'idhni Al-Lahi Wa 'Ubri'u Al-'Akmaha Wa Al-'Abraşa Wa 'Uĥyi Al-Mawtá Bi'idhni Al-Lahi Wa 'Unabbi'ukum Bimā Ta'kulūna Wa Mā Taddakhirūna Fī Buyūtikum 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyatan Lakum 'In Kuntum Mu'uminyna  | and send him forth as a Rasool to the Children of Israel with this message: 'I have brought you signs of my appointment from your Rabb. I will make for you the likeness of a bird from clay; I will breathe into it and, with Allah’s leave, it will become a living bird. I will heal the blind and the lepers, and raise the dead to life, by Allah's leave. Furthermore, I will tell you what you have eaten and what you have stored in your houses. Surely these are the signs to convince you if you are believers.[3.49] | وَرَسُولا ً إِلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَنِّي قَدْ جِئْتُكُمْ بِآيَة ٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ أَنِّي أَخْلُقُ لَكُمْ مِنَ الطِّينِ كَهَيْئَةِ الطَّيْرِ فَأَنفُخُ فِيه ِِ فَيَكُونُ طَيْرا ً بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ وَأُبْرِئُ الأَكْمَه ََ وَالأَبْرَصَ وَأُحْيِ الْمَوْتَى بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ وَأُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا تَأْكُلُونَ وَمَا تَدَّخِرُونَ فِي بُيُوتِكُمْ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً لَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنينَ |
Wa Muşaddiqāan Limā Bayna Yadayya Mina At-Tawrāati Wa Li'uĥilla Lakum Ba`đa Al-Ladhī Ĥurrima `Alaykum Wa Ji'tukum Bi'āyatin Min Rabbikum Fa Attaqū Al-Laha Wa 'Aţī`ūni  | I am appointed to confirm that which is before me from the Taurمt (Torah) and to make lawful to you some of the things forbidden to you. Now I have brought you the signs from your Rabb, therefore fear Allah and obey me.[3.50] | وَمُصَدِّقا ً لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَلِأُحِلَّ لَكُمْ بَعْضَ الَّذِي حُرِّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَجِئْتُكُمْ بِآيَة ٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ |
'Inna Al-Laha Rabbī Wa Rabbukum Fā`budūhu Hādhā Şirāţun Mustaqīmun  | In fact, Allah is my Rabb as well as your Rabb, therefore, worship Him; this is the Right Way.'"[3.51] | إِنَّ اللَّهَ رَبِّي وَرَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُوه ُُ هَذَا صِرَاط ٌ مُسْتَقِيم ٌ |
Falammā 'Aĥassa `Īsá Minhumu Al-Kufra Qāla Man 'Anşārī 'Ilá Al-Lahi Qāla Al-Ĥawārīyūna Naĥnu 'Anşāru Al-Lahi 'Āmannā Bil-Lahi Wa Ash/had Bi'annā Muslimūna  | When Isa (Jesus) found out that they (most of the children of Israel) had no faith, he asked: “Who will help me in the cause of Allah?” The Disciples replied: “We will help you in the cause of Allah. We believe in Allah. Be our witness that we are Muslims."[3.52] | فَلَمَّا أَحَسَّ عِيسَى مِنْهُمُ الْكُفْرَ قَالَ مَنْ أَنْصَارِي إِلَى اللَّهِ قَالَ الْحَوَارِيُّونَ نَحْنُ أَنْصَارُ اللَّهِ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَاشْهَدْ بِأَنَّا مُسْلِمُونَ |
Rabbanā 'Āmannā Bimā 'Anzalta Wa Attaba`nā Ar-Rasūla Fāktubnā Ma`a Ash-Shāhidīna  | Then they invoked Allah and said): “Our Rabb! We believe in what you have revealed and we follow Your Rasool. Please count us with those who bear witness.”[3.53] | رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا بِمَا أَنْزَلْتَ وَاتَّبَعْنَا الرَّسُولَ فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِينَ |
Wa Makarū Wa Makara Al-Lahu Wa Allāhu Khayru Al-Mākirīna  | The unbelievers among the children of Israel plotted against Isa and Allah also devised a plan to raise him up, and Allah is the best in planning.[3.54] | وَمَكَرُوا وَمَكَرَ اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ خَيْرُ الْمَاكِرِينَ |
'Idh Qāla Al-Lahu Yā `Īsá 'Innī Mutawaffīka Wa Rāfi`uka 'Ilayya Wa Muţahhiruka Mina Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Wa Jā`ilu Al-Ladhīna Attaba`ūka Fawqa Al-Ladhīna Kafarū 'Ilá Yawmi Al-Qiyā Mati Thumma 'Ilayya Marji`ukum Fa'aĥkumu Baynakum Fīmā Kuntum Fīhi Takhtalifūna  |
