Waylun Likulli Humazatin Lumazahin | َ104-001 Disaster is (decreed) for every slanderer, defamer, | وَيْل ٌ لِكُلِّ هُمَزَة ٍ لُمَزَة ٍ |
Al-Ladhī Jama`a Mālāan Wa `Addadahu | َ104-002 Who amasses wealth (instead of spending it for the good of humanity), counts it over and over and depends upon it as a safeguard (against his future possible hardships). | الَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالا ً وَعَدَّدَهُ |
Yaĥsabu 'Anna Mālahu 'Akhladahu | َ104-003 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. | يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُ~ُ أَخْلَدَهُ |
Kallā ۖ Layunbadhanna Fī Al-Ĥuţamahi | َ104-004 No, never! he shall surely be cast into the crushing torment (of Hell). | كَلاَّ ۖ لَيُنْبَذَنَّ فِي الْحُطَمَةِ |
Wa Mā 'Adrāka Mā Al-Ĥuţamahu | َ104-005 And what should make you know what the crushing torment is? | وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُ |
Nāru Al-Lahi Al-Mūqadahu | َ104-006 (It is) the Fire set ablaze by Allâh, | نَارُ اللَّهِ الْمُوقَدَةُ |
Allatī Taţţali`u `Alá Al-'Af'idahi | َ104-007 And which rises over (the feelings of) the hearts (- the origin of a man´s hell). | الَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الأَفْئِدَةِ |
'Innahā `Alayhim Mu'uşadahun | َ104-008 It (- Fire) will be closed in on them (so as not to let them escape from it and also increase for them the torture of heat). | إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِمْ مُؤصَدَة ٌ |
Fī `Amadin Mumaddadahin | َ104-009 (The flames of the Fire will rise) in (the form of) huge outstretched columns. | فِي عَمَد ٍ مُمَدَّدَة ٍ |
