| Tabāraka Al-Ladhī Biyadihi Al-Mulku Wa Huwa `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun | َ067-001 Blessed is He Who holds complete Supreme power. He is the Possessor of prudential power to do every desired thing. | تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ قَدِير ٌ |
| Al-Ladhī Khalaqa Al-Mawta Wa Al-Ĥayāata Liyabluwakum 'Ayyukum 'Aĥsanu `Amalāan ۚ Wa Huwa Al-`Azīzu Al-Ghafūru | َ067-002 It is He Who has created death and life so that He may reward you (after trying you as to) which of you excels in doing good deeds. He is the All-Mighty, the Great Protector. | الَّذِي خَلَقَ الْمَوْتَ وَالْحَيَاةَ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلا ً ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْغَفُورُ |
| Al-Ladhī Khalaqa Sab`a Samāwātin Ţibāqāan ۖ Mā Tará Fī Khalqi Ar-Raĥmāni Min Tafāwutin ۖ Fārji`i Al-Başara Hal Tará Min Fuţūrin | َ067-003 It is He Who has created seven heavens, one upon another in conformity (with each other). You can see no flaw, no incongruity and no imperfection in the creation of the Most Gracious (God). Then look up once more (to heaven). Do you see any flaw? | الَّذِي خَلَقَ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَات ٍ طِبَاقا ً ۖ مَا تَرَى فِي خَلْقِ الرَّحْمَنِ مِنْ تَفَاوُت ٍ ۖ فَارْجِعِ الْبَصَرَ هَلْ تَرَى مِنْ فُطُور ٍ |
| Thumma Arji`i Al-Başara Karratayni Yanqalib 'Ilayka Al-Başaru Khāsi'āan Wa Huwa Ĥasīrun | َ067-004 Look again and yet again (to find out any confusion in Divine law). (The result will only be that) your eye will return to you dazzled while it is weary (and you will be unable to find any discordance). | ثُمَّ ارْجِعِ الْبَصَرَ كَرَّتَيْنِ يَنقَلِبْ إِلَيْكَ الْبَصَرُ خَاسِئا ً وَهُوَ حَسِير ٌ |
| Wa Laqad Zayyannā As-Samā'a Ad-Dunyā Bimaşābīĥa Wa Ja`alnāhā Rujūmāan Lilshshayāţīni ۖ Wa 'A`tadnā Lahum `Adhāba As-Sa`īri | َ067-005 We have, certainly, adorned the lowest heaven with (stars-like) lamps and We have made them as means of conjecture for the evil ones (and the astrologers who invent good or bad omens from the movement of the stars). (Remember) We have prepared for these (soothesayers) the punishment of the blazing Fire. | وَلَقَدْ زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِمَصَابِيحَ وَجَعَلْنَاهَا رُجُوما ً لِلشَّيَاطِينِ ۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابَ السَّعِيرِ |
| Wa Lilladhīna Kafarū Birabbihim `Adhābu Jahannama ۖ Wa Bi'sa Al-Maşīru | َ067-006 And there awaits the punishment of Gehenna for those who disbelieve in their Lord, what a horrid resort it is! | وَلِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِرَبِّهِمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ |
| 'Idhā 'Ulqū Fīhā Sami`ū Lahā Shahīqāan Wa Hiya Tafūru | َ067-007 When they are cast therein they will hear its roaring and a loud moaning while it heaves up (boiling with them). | إِذَا أُلْقُوا فِيهَا سَمِعُوا لَهَا شَهِيقا ً وَهِيَ تَفُورُ |
| Takādu Tamayyazu Mina Al-Ghayži ۖ Kullamā 'Ulqiya Fīhā Fawjun Sa'alahum Khazanatuhā 'Alam Ya'tikum Nadhīrun | َ067-008 It almost bursts with the intense fury (of the fire). As often as a host (of wrongdoers) is cast into it, its wardens will ask them, `Did no Warner come to you (from the Lord)?´ | تَكَادُ تَمَيَّزُ مِنَ الْغَيْظِ ۖ كُلَّمَا أُلْقِيَ فِيهَا فَوْج ٌ سَأَلَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَا أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَذِير ٌ |
| Qālū Balá Qad Jā'anā Nadhīrun Fakadhdhabnā Wa Qulnā Mā Nazzala Al-Lahu Min Shay'in 'In 'Antum 'Illā Fī Đalālin Kabīrin | َ067-009 They will say, `No doubt, a Warner did come to (warn) us but we cried lies (to him) and we said, "Allâh has revealed nothing, you are only in great error".´ | قَالُوا بَلَى قَدْ جَاءَنَا نَذِير ٌ فَكَذَّبْنَا وَقُلْنَا مَا نَزَّلَ اللَّهُ مِنْ شَيْء ٍ إِنْ أَنْتُمْ إِلاَّ فِي ضَلاَل ٍ كَبِير ٍ |
| Wa Qālū Law Kunnā Nasma`u 'Aw Na`qilu Mā Kunnā Fī 'Aşĥābi As-Sa`īri | َ067-010 And they will add, `If we had only listened and tried to understand we would not have been among the inmates of the blazing Fire (this day).´ | وَقَالُوا لَوْ كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ أَوْ نَعْقِلُ مَا كُنَّا فِي أَصْحَابِ السَّعِيرِ |
| Fā`tarafū Bidhanbihim Fasuĥqāan Li'şĥābi As-Sa`īri | َ067-011 They will thus confess to their sins (when confession will be of no use). The inmates of the blazing Fire are far removed (from God´s mercy). | فَاعْتَرَفُوا بِذَنْبِهِمْ فَسُحْقا ً لِأصْحَابِ السَّعِيرِ |
| 'Inna Al-Ladhīna Yakhshawna Rabbahum Bil-Ghaybi Lahum Maghfiratun Wa 'Ajrun Kabīrun | َ067-012 Verily, as to those who hold their Lord in awe in their heart of hearts, there awaits them protection (against lapses) and a great reward. | إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ بِالْغَيْبِ لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَة ٌ وَأَجْر ٌ كَبِير ٌ |
| Wa 'Asirrū Qawlakum 'Aw Ajharū Bihi ۖ 'Innahu `Alīmun Bidhāti Aş-Şudūri | َ067-013 (Mankind!) Whether you conceal your thoughts or speak them openly (it makes little difference to Him) for He knows well the innermost secrets of the hearts. | وَأَسِرُّوا قَوْلَكُمْ أَوْ اجْهَرُوا بِهِ~ِ ۖ إِنَّه ُُ عَلِيم ٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ |
| 'Alā Ya`lamu Man Khalaqa Wa Huwa Al-Laţīfu Al-Khabīru | َ067-014 Does He Who has created (all things) not know (His own creation)? He knows all that is abstruse and subtle, and is All-Aware. | أَلاَ يَعْلَمُ مَنْ خَلَقَ وَهُوَ اللَّطِيفُ الْخَبِيرُ |
| Huwa Al-Ladhī Ja`ala Lakumu Al-'Arđa Dhalūlāan Fāmshū Fī Manākibihā Wa Kulū Min Rizqihi ۖ Wa 'Ilayhi An-Nushūru | َ067-015 He it is Who has made the earth smooth and subservient to you (for your benefit), so traverse (far and deep) into its spacious paths (for your spiritual and material advancement), and (thus by active labour) eat of His sustenance (and enjoy His gifts). To Him will you all return after your having been raised to life. | هُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الأَرْضَ ذَلُولا ً فَامْشُوا فِي مَنَاكِبِهَا وَكُلُوا مِنْ رِزْقِه ِِ ۖ وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ |
| 'A'amintum Man Fī As-Samā'i 'An Yakhsifa Bikumu Al-'Arđa Fa'idhā Hiya Tamūru | َ067-016 Do you feel secure from Him Who is overhead (to you all, thinking) that He may leave you downtrodden in the earth and may cause it to sink with you when all of a sudden it begins to shake? | أَأَمِنتُمْ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاءِ أَنْ يَخْسِفَ بِكُمُ الأَرْضَ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَمُورُ |
| 'Am 'Amintum Man Fī As-Samā'i 'An Yursila `Alaykum Ĥāşibāan ۖ Fasata`lamūna Kayfa Nadhīri | َ067-017 Do you feel secure from Him Who reigns in the heaven (above you seeing), that He may send a violent storm raising dust and pebbles on you. Look! you shall soon realize how (true) was My warning! | أَمْ أَمِنتُمْ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاءِ أَنْ يُرْسِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ حَاصِبا ً ۖ فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ كَيْفَ نَذِيرِ |
| Wa Laqad Kadhdhaba Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim Fakayfa Kāna Nakīri | َ067-018 And certainly their predecessors treated (My Messengers to them) as liars, then, see how (destructive) was My disapproval (at their denial). | وَلَقَدْ كَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ |
| 'Awalam Yaraw 'Ilá Aţ-Ţayri Fawqahum Şāffātin Wa Yaqbiđna ۚ Mā Yumsikuhunna 'Illā Ar-Raĥmānu ۚ 'Innahu Bikulli Shay'in Başīrun | َ067-019 Have they not seen above them the birds with spread out wings (in flight) which they also draw in (to swoop down on the prey). None but the Most Gracious (God) holds them (there). Verily, He has knowledge of each and everything. | أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا إِلَى الطَّيْرِ فَوْقَهُمْ صَافَّات ٍ وَيَقْبِضْنَ ۚ مَا يُمْسِكُهُنَّ إِلاَّ الرَّحْمَنُ ۚ إِنَّه ُُ بِكُلِّ شَيْء ٍ بَصِير ٌ |
| 'Amman Hādhā Al-Ladhī Huwa Jundun Lakum Yanşurukum Min Dūni Ar-Raĥmāni ۚ 'Ini Al-Kāfirūna 'Illā Fī Ghurūrin | َ067-020 Or who is it that can serve as an army to help you against the Most Gracious (God if He intends to do you harm). The disbelievers are only labouring under a misconception (in thinking to baffle the cause of God). | أَمَّنْ هَذَا الَّذِي هُوَ جُند ٌ لَكُمْ يَنصُرُكُمْ مِنْ دُونِ الرَّحْمَنِ ۚ إِنِ الْكَافِرُونَ إِلاَّ فِي غُرُور ٍ |
| 'Amman Hādhā Al-Ladhī Yarzuqukum 'In 'Amsaka Rizqahu ۚ Bal Lajjū Fī `Utūwin Wa Nufūrin | َ067-021 Or who is it that will provide sustenance for you if He withholds His gifts? The fact is that they persist in transgression and are running away (from the truth). | أَمَّنْ هَذَا الَّذِي يَرْزُقُكُمْ إِنْ أَمْسَكَ رِزْقَه ُُ ۚ بَلْ لَجُّوا فِي عُتُوّ ٍ وَنُفُور ٍ |
| 'Afaman Yamshī Mukibbāan `Alá Wajhihi 'Ahdá 'Amman Yamshī Sawīyāan `Alá Şirāţin Mustaqīmin | َ067-022 Is he, who goes groveling on his face, better guided or he who walks upright on a straight and right path? | أَفَمَنْ يَمْشِي مُكِبّاً عَلَى وَجْهِهِ~ِ أَهْدَى أَمَّنْ يَمْشِي سَوِيّاً عَلَى صِرَاط ٍ مُسْتَقِيم ٍ |
| Qul Huwa Al-Ladhī 'Ansha'akum Wa Ja`ala Lakumu As-Sam`a Wa Al-'Abşāra Wa Al-'Af'idata ۖ Qalīlāan Mā Tashkurūna | َ067-023 Say, `It is He Who has brought you into being and made for you ears (to hear), eyes (to see) and hearts (to understand). Yet little thanks do you give!´ | قُلْ هُوَ الَّذِي أَنشَأَكُمْ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالأَبْصَارَ وَالأَفْئِدَةَ ۖ قَلِيلا ً مَا تَشْكُرُونَ |
| Qul Huwa Al-Ladhī Dhara'akum Fī Al-'Arđi Wa 'Ilayhi Tuĥsharūna | َ067-024 Say, `It is He Who has multiplied you in the earth and to Him you shall all be gathered.´ | قُلْ هُوَ الَّذِي ذَرَأَكُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ |
| Wa Yaqūlūna Matá Hādhā Al-Wa`du 'In Kuntum Şādiqīna | َ067-025 And they say (to the Muslims), `When will this threat be executed if you are truthful (in your assertions)?´ | وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَى هَذَا الْوَعْدُ إِنْ كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ |
| Qul 'Innamā Al-`Ilmu `Inda Al-Lahi Wa 'Innamā 'Anā Nadhīrun Mubīnun | َ067-026 Say, `The knowledge (of the time of its occurrence) is with Allâh. I am only a plain Warner.´ | قُلْ إِنَّمَا الْعِلْمُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَإِنَّمَا أَنَا نَذِير ٌ مُبِين ٌ |
| Falammā Ra'awhu Zulfatan Sī'at Wujūhu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Wa Qīla Hādhā Al-Ladhī Kuntum Bihi Tadda`ūna | َ067-027 But when they see it (- the threatened punishment) nigh, the faces of those who disbelieve will wear a grieved look. And it will be said (to them), `This is what you used to ask for so persistently.´ | فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهُ زُلْفَة ً سِيئَتْ وُجُوهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَقِيلَ هَذَا الَّذِي كُنتُمْ بِه ِِ تَدَّعُونَ |
| Qul 'Ara'aytum 'In 'Ahlakaniya Al-Lahu Wa Man Ma`ī 'Aw Raĥimanā Faman Yujīru Al-Kāfirīna Min `Adhābin 'Alīmin | َ067-028 Say, `Have you considered if Allâh destroys me and those who are with me (my companions of faith)? Rather He will have mercy on us. Who is there to protect the disbelievers from a woeful punishment, (for the guilty will, all the same, reap the fruit of their evil deeds)?´ | قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَهْلَكَنِيَ اللَّهُ وَمَنْ مَعِي أَوْ رَحِمَنَا فَمَنْ يُجِيرُ الْكَافِرِينَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيم ٍ |
| Qul Huwa Ar-Raĥmānu 'Āmannā Bihi Wa `Alayhi Tawakkalnā ۖ Fasata`lamūna Man Huwa Fī Đalālin Mubīnin | َ067-029 Say, `He is the Most Gracious (God), in Him have we believed and in Him have we put our trust. And you will soon know which one of us is in manifest error.´ | قُلْ هُوَ الرَّحْمَنُ آمَنَّا بِه ِِ وَعَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا ۖ فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ فِي ضَلاَل ٍ مُبِين ٍ |
| Qul 'Ara'aytum 'In 'Aşbaĥa Mā'uukum Ghawrāan Faman Ya'tīkum Bimā'in Ma`īnin | َ067-030 Say, `Have you considered if (all) your water were to disappear (in the depths of the earth) who, then, will bring you pure flowing water?´ | قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَصْبَحَ مَاؤُكُمْ غَوْرا ً فَمَنْ يَأْتِيكُمْ بِمَاء ٍ مَعِين ٍ |
