63) Sūrat Al-Munāfiqūn | Printed format | 63) سُورَة المُنَافِقُون |
| 'Idhā Jā'aka Al-Munāfiqūna Qālū Nash/hadu 'Innaka Larasūlu Al-Lahi Wa Allāhu Ya`lamu 'Innaka Larasūluhu Wa Allāhu Yash/hadu 'Inna Al-Munāfiqīna Lakādhibūna | َ063-001 When the hypocrites come to you, they say, `We bear witness that you are in fact the Messenger of Allâh.´ And Allâh knows that you are indeed His Messenger. Yet Allâh (at the same time) bears witness that the hypocrites are truly liars. | إِذَا جَاءَكَ الْمُنَافِقُونَ قَالُوا نَشْهَدُ إِنَّكَ لَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ إِنَّكَ لَرَسُولُه ُُ وَاللَّهُ يَشْهَدُ إِنَّ الْمُنَافِقِينَ لَكَاذِبُونَ |
| Attakhadhū 'Aymānahum Junnatan Faşaddū `An Sabīli Al-Lahi ۚ 'Innahum Sā'a Mā Kānū Ya`malūna | َ063-002 They take shelter behind their oaths (to hide their evil designs). Thus they keep people back from the way of Allâh. Surely, evil is the practice they follow. | اتَّخَذُوا أَيْمَانَهُمْ جُنَّة ً فَصَدُّوا عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ سَاءَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ |
| Dhālika Bi'annahum 'Āmanū Thumma Kafarū Faţubi`a `Alá Qulūbihim Fahum Lā Yafqahūna | َ063-003 That (they follow this practice) is because (outwardly) they believed but (inwardly) they disbelieved, so that their hearts are sealed and (now) they do not even understand. | ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ آمَنُوا ثُمَّ كَفَرُوا فَطُبِعَ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لاَ يَفْقَهُونَ |
| Wa 'Idhā Ra'aytahum Tu`jibuka 'Ajsāmuhum ۖ Wa 'In Yaqūlū Tasma` Liqawlihim ۖ Ka'annahum Khushubun Musannadatun ۖ Yaĥsabūna Kulla Şayĥatin `Alayhim ۚ Humu Al-`Adūwu Fāĥdharhum ۚ Qātalahumu Al-Lahu ۖ 'Anná Yu'ufakūna | َ063-004 When you see them, their (handsome) figures please you, and if they speak (a masked and polished speech), you listen to their speech. (They look) as though they were wooden statues clad in garments. They think every loud cry is one (raised) against them. They themselves are (your) enemies (in reality), so beware of them. May Allâh ruin them! To what (perversities) are they being turned away (from the Truth)? | وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَهُمْ تُعْجِبُكَ أَجْسَامُهُمْ ۖ وَإِنْ يَقُولُوا تَسْمَعْ لِقَوْلِهِمْ ۖ كَأَنَّهُمْ خُشُب ٌ مُسَنَّدَة ٌ ۖ يَحْسَبُونَ كُلَّ صَيْحَةٍ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ هُمُ الْعَدُوُّ فَاحْذَرْهُمْ ۚ قَاتَلَهُمُ اللَّهُ ۖ أَنَّى يُؤْفَكُونَ |
| Wa 'Idhā Qīla Lahum Ta`ālaw Yastaghfir Lakum Rasūlu Al-Lahi Lawwaw Ru'ūsahum Wa Ra'aytahum Yaşuddūna Wa Hum Mustakbirūna | َ063-005 And when it is said to them, `Come so that the Messenger of Allâh may ask forgiveness for you,´ they turn their heads aside (by way of refusal and out of scorn and pride). And you see them keeping others (also) back, while they swell big with pride. | وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْا يَسْتَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ لَوَّوْا رُءُوسَهُمْ وَرَأَيْتَهُمْ يَصُدُّونَ وَهُمْ مُسْتَكْبِرُونَ |
| Sawā'un `Alayhim 'Āstaghfarta Lahum 'Am Lam Tastaghfir Lahum Lan Yaghfira Al-Lahu Lahum ۚ 'Inna Al-Laha Lā Yahdī Al-Qawma Al-Fāsiqīna | َ063-006 It makes no difference to them whether you ask forgiveness for them or do not ask, Allâh will not forgive them. Indeed, Allâh will guide no transgressing people to success. | سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ أَاسْتَغْفَرْتَ لَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ لَنْ يَغْفِرَ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْفَاسِقِينَ |
| Humu Al-Ladhīna Yaqūlūna Lā Tunfiqū `Alá Man `Inda Rasūli Al-Lahi Ĥattá Yanfađđū ۗ Wa Lillahi Khazā'inu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Lakinna Al-Munāfiqīna Lā Yafqahūna | َ063-007 They are a people who say, `Do not spend on those who are with the Messenger of Allâh until they (are obliged to) disperse (and desert him). Yet the treasures of the heavens and the earth belong to Allâh, but the hypocrites do not understand (it). | هُمُ الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ لاَ تُنْفِقُوا عَلَى مَنْ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ حَتَّى يَنْفَضُّوا ۗ وَلِلَّهِ خَزَائِنُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَلَكِنَّ الْمُنَافِقِينَ لاَ يَفْقَهُونَ |
| Yaqūlūna La'in Raja`nā 'Ilá Al-Madīnati Layukhrijanna Al-'A`azzu Minhā Al-'Adhalla ۚ Wa Lillahi Al-`Izzatu Wa Lirasūlihi Wa Lilmu'uminīna Wa Lakinna Al-Munāfiqīna Lā Ya`lamūna | َ063-008 They say, `If we return to Madînah, the most honourable and mightier will drive out the most mean from there.´ But (true) power and honour belongs to Allâh and His Messenger and to the believers. Yet the hypocrites do not know (it). | يَقُولُونَ لَئِنْ رَجَعْنَا إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ لَيُخْرِجَنَّ الأَعَزُّ مِنْهَا الأَذَلَّ ۚ وَلِلَّهِ الْعِزَّةُ وَلِرَسُولِه ِِ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَلَكِنَّ الْمُنَافِقِينَ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ |
| Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Lā Tulhikum 'Amwālukum Wa Lā 'Awlādukum `An Dhikri Al-Lahi ۚ Wa Man Yaf`al Dhālika Fa'ūlā'ika Humu Al-Khāsirūna | َ063-009 O you who believe! do not let your possessions and your children make you forget the remembrance of Allâh. And those who do so shall be the real losers. | يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لاَ تُلْهِكُمْ أَمْوَالُكُمْ وَلاَ أَوْلاَدُكُمْ عَنْ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَمَنْ ۚ يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ فَأُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ |
| Wa 'Anfiqū Min Mā Razaqnākum Min Qabli 'An Ya'tiya 'Aĥadakumu Al-Mawtu Fayaqūla Rabbi Lawlā 'Akhkhartanī 'Ilá 'Ajalin Qarībin Fa'aşşaddaqa Wa 'Akun Mina Aş-Şāliĥīna | َ063-010 And spend out of that with which We have provided you, before death visits one of you and he says, `My Lord! would that you had granted me reprieve for a short while, (for if you had,) I would have given alms and would have become of the righteous.´ | وَأَنْفِقُوا مِنْ مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ فَيَقُولَ رَبِّ لَوْلاَ أَخَّرْتَنِي إِلَى أَجَل ٍ قَرِيب ٍ فَأَصَّدَّقَ وَأَكُنْ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ |
| Wa Lan Yu'uakhkhira Al-Lahu Nafsāan 'Idhā Jā'a 'Ajaluhā Wa ۚ Allāhu Khabīrun Bimā Ta`malūna | َ063-011 And Allâh does not grant reprieve to a soul when its appointed time is come. And Allâh is Well-Aware of what you do. | وَلَنْ يُؤَخِّرَ اللَّهُ نَفْسا ً إِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهَا ۚ وَاللَّهُ خَبِير ٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ |
