53) سُورَة النَّجْم

Wa An-Najmi 'Idhā Hawá َ053-001 I call to witness every part of the Qur´ân when it is revealed, وَالنَّجْمِ إِذَا هَوَى
Mā Đalla Şāĥibukum Wa Mā Ghawá َ053-002 That your comrade (Muhammad) has neither deviated (from true guidance in his practices) nor has he erred (in his beliefs). مَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمْ وَمَا غَوَى
Wa Mā Yanţiqu `Ani Al-Hawá َ053-003 He does not say anything out of (his own) fanciful desire. وَمَا يَنْطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَى
'In Huwa 'Illā Waĥyun Yūĥá َ053-004 This (Qur´ân) is nothing but (pure) revelation, revealed (to him by God). إِنْ هُوَ إِلاَّ وَحْي ٌ يُوحَى
`Allamahu Shadīdu Al-Quwá َ053-005 The Lord of Mighty Powers has taught him (this discourse). عَلَّمَه ُُ شَدِيدُ الْقُوَى
Dhū Mirratin Fāstawá َ053-006 (The Lord) Whose powers become manifest in manifold and frequent ways, with the result that he (- this Messenger of God) attained perfection and fullest vigour (both intellectually and physically). ذُو مِرَّة ٍ فَاسْتَوَى
Wa Huwa Bil-'Ufuqi Al-'A`lá َ053-007 And he attained to the zenith of heights (in his spiritual ascension). وَهُوَ بِالأُفُقِ الأَعْلَى
Thumma Danā Fatadallá َ053-008 Then he drew near to Him and afterwards he descended (to mankind, for their guidance). ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلَّى
Fakāna Qāba Qawsayni 'Aw 'Adná َ053-009 So that he became (as it were) one chord to two bows or closer still. فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَى
Fa'awĥá 'Ilá `Abdihi Mā 'Awĥá َ053-010 Then He revealed that excellent and mighty (Qur´ânic) revelation which He had to send to His servant (Muhammad), فَأَوْحَى إِلَى عَبْدِه ِِ مَا أَوْحَى
Mā Kadhaba Al-Fu'uādu Mā Ra'á َ053-011 Whose mind made no mistake in (the interpretation of) that which he saw (during the ascansion). مَا كَذَبَ الْفُؤَادُ مَا رَأَى
'Afatumārūnahu `Alá Mā Yará َ053-012 Will you doubt and dispute with him concerning that (sight) which he saw with his own eyes (it being no figment of imagination)? أَفَتُمَارُونَه ُُ عَلَى مَا يَرَى
Wa Laqad Ra'āhu Nazlatan 'Ukh َ053-013 And, of course, he saw Him (in His another manifestation to him) yet another time. وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ نَزْلَةً أُخْرَى
`Inda Sidrati Al-Muntahá َ053-014 It was near the Sidrah which stands at the farthest end (of knowledge), عِنْدَ سِدْرَةِ الْمُنْتَهَى
`Indahā Jannatu Al-Ma'wá َ053-015 Near where also is the Garden which is the real eternal abode. عِنْدَهَا جَنَّةُ الْمَأْوَى
'Idh Yaghshá As-Sidrata Mā Yaghshá َ053-016 (This was) when the sublime thing (- the Divine Manifestation) which was to cover Sidrah had covered it. إِذْ يَغْشَى السِّدْرَةَ مَا يَغْشَى
Mā Zāgha Al-Başaru Wa Mā Ţaghá َ053-017 (When he saw the Divine Manifestation) his eye deviated not (from the certainty of the Truth) nor did it wander away (from the invincible faith on which he stood). مَا زَاغَ الْبَصَرُ وَمَا طَغَى
Laqad Ra'á Min 'Āyāti Rabbihi Al-Kub َ053-018 (It was the moment when) he saw the greatly important signs of his Lord. لَقَدْ رَأَى مِنْ آيَاتِ رَبِّهِ الْكُبْرَى
'Afara'aytumu Al-Lāta Wa Al-`Uzzá َ053-019 Have you had a look at Lât and `Uzzâ (the gods of idolaters), أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ اللاَّتَ وَالْعُزَّى
Wa Manāata Ath-Thālithata Al-'Ukh َ053-020 And another, the third (goddess of no account) Manât? وَمَنَاةَ الثَّالِثَةَ الأُخْرَى
'Alakumu Adh-Dhakaru Wa Lahu Al-'Unthá َ053-021 What (an ignoble idea you have)! Are you to have sons and He daughters? أَلَكُمُ الذَّكَرُ وَلَهُ الأُنثَى
Tilka 'Idhāan Qismatun Đīzá َ053-022 That indeed is an unjust division (and unbecoming from your own point of view which looks upon the birth of a daughter with condemnation). تِلْكَ إِذا ً قِسْمَة ٌ ضِيزَى
'In Hiya 'Illā 'Asmā'un Sammaytumūhā 'Antum Wa 'Ābā'uukum Mā 'Anzala Al-Lahu Bihā Min Sulţānin  ۚ  'In Yattabi`ūna 'Illā Až-Žanna Wa Mā Tahwá Al-'Anfusu  ۖ  Wa Laqad Jā'ahum Min Rabbihimu Al-Hudá َ053-023 (The fact is that) these are mere names (bearing no significance) which you have coined, you and your forefathers, for which Allâh has revealed no authority (for their being worshipped as gods and goddesses). These (idol-worshippers) follow nothing but mere conjectures and the fancies of (their own) minds. (They do this) even though true guidance has already come to them from their Lord. إِنْ هِيَ إِلاَّ أَسْمَاء ٌ سَمَّيْتُمُوهَا أَنْتُمْ وَآبَاؤُكُمْ مَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ بِهَا مِنْ سُلْطَان ٍ  ۚ  إِنْ يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلاَّ الظَّنَّ وَمَا تَهْوَى الأَنْفُسُ  ۖ  وَلَقَدْ جَاءَهُمْ مِنْ رَبِّهِمُ الْهُدَى
'Am Lil'insāni Mā Tamanná َ053-024 Can a person always have whatever he desires? أَمْ لِلإِنسَانِ مَا تَمَنَّى
Falillāhi Al-'Ākhiratu Wa Al-'Ū َ053-025 Rather (all the blessings of) the Hereafter as well as (those of) this present life belong to Allâh. فَلِلَّهِ الآخِرَةُ وَالأُولَى
Wa Kam Min Malakin As-Samāwāti Lā TughShafā`atuhum Shay'āan 'Illā Min Ba`di 'An Ya'dhana Al-Lahu Liman Yashā'u Wa Yarđá َ053-026 Behold! so many an angel is there in the heavens but their intercession can be of no avail except after Allâh has given (them) permission regarding him whom He wills and with whom He is pleased. وَكَمْ مِنْ مَلَك ٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ لاَ تُغْنِي شَفَاعَتُهُمْ شَيْئا ً إِلاَّ مِنْ بَعْدِ أَنْ يَأْذَنَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَرْضَى
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Lā Yu'uminūna Bil-'Ākhirati Layusammūna Al-Malā'ikata Tasmiyata Al-'Unthá َ053-027 (Verily, it is only) those who do not believe in the Hereafter and (who) give feminine names to the angels (because they ascribe them to Allâh as His daughters); إِنَّ الَّذِينَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالآخِرَةِ لَيُسَمُّونَ الْمَلاَئِكَةَ تَسْمِيَةَ الأُنْثَى
Wa Mā Lahum Bihi Min `Ilmin  ۖ  'In Yattabi`ūna 'Illā Až-Žanna  ۖ  Wa 'Inna Až-Žanna Lā Yughnī Mina Al-Ĥaqqi Shay'āan َ053-028 But they have no knowledge of the matter. They follow nothing but conjecture, yet by no means can a conjecture be a substitute for the established Truth. وَمَا لَهُمْ بِه ِِ مِنْ عِلْم ٍ  ۖ  إِنْ يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلاَّ الظَّنَّ  ۖ  وَإِنَّ الظَّنَّ لاَ يُغْنِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ شَيْئا ً
Fa'a`riđ `An Man Tawallá `An Dhikrinā Wa Lam Yurid 'Illā Al-Ĥayāata Ad-Dun َ053-029 So turn aside from him who turns away from Our remembrance, and seeks nothing but the present life. فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْ مَنْ تَوَلَّى عَنْ ذِكْرِنَا وَلَمْ يُرِدْ إِلاَّ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا
Dhālika Mablaghuhum Mina Al-`Ilmi  ۚ  'Inna Rabbaka Huwa 'A`lamu Biman Đalla `An Sabīlihi Wa Huwa 'A`lamu Bimani Ahtadá َ053-030 That is the highest attainment of their knowledge. Verily, your Lord knows very well those who go astray from His path, as He knows very well those who follow the right guidance. ذَلِكَ مَبْلَغُهُمْ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ  ۚ  إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ ضَلَّ عَنْ سَبِيلِه ِِ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ اهْتَدَى
Wa Lillahi Mā Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Mā Fī Al-'Arđi Liyajziya Al-Ladhīna 'Asā'ū Bimā `Amilū Wa Yajziya Al-Ladhīna 'Aĥsanū Bil-Ĥusná َ053-031 And all that lies in the heavens and all that lies in the earth belongs to Allâh alone. The result of this is that He recompenses the evil doers according to (the evil of) their deeds and rewards those who do good deeds with the fairest reward. وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ لِيَجْزِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسَاءُوا بِمَا عَمِلُوا وَيَجْزِيَ الَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا بِالْحُسْنَى
Al-Ladhīna Yajtanibūna Kabā'ira Al-'Ithmi Wa Al-Fawāĥisha 'Illā Al-Lamama  ۚ  'Inna Rabbaka Wāsi`u Al-Maghfirati  ۚ  Huwa 'A`lamu Bikum 'Idh 'Ansha'akum Mina Al-'Arđi Wa 'Idh 'Antum 'Ajinnatun Fī Buţūni 'Ummahātikum  ۖ  Falā Tuzakkū 'Anfusakum  ۖ  Huwa 'A`lamu Bimani Attaqá َ053-032 Those who avoid grave sins and open shameful deeds but (who are sometimes guilty) only (of) minor offences (will find) your Lord is Lord of immense protection (and resorts to His mercy in such cases). He knows you full well (since) when He created you from the earth and when you were embryos in the wombs of your mothers. So make no pretensions to the purity of your souls. It is He Who knows best who (truly and fully) guards against evil. الَّذِينَ يَجْتَنِبُونَ كَبَائِرَ الإِثْمِ وَالْفَوَاحِشَ إِلاَّ اللَّمَمَ  ۚ  إِنَّ رَبَّكَ وَاسِعُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ  ۚ  هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِكُمْ إِذْ أَنشَأَكُمْ مِنَ الأَرْضِ وَإِذْ أَنْتُمْ أَجِنَّة ٌ فِي بُطُونِ أُمَّهَاتِكُمْ  ۖ  فَلاَ تُزَكُّوا أَنفُسَكُمْ  ۖ  هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ اتَّقَى
'Afara'ayta Al-Ladhī Tawallá َ053-033 Have you taken notice of the one who turns away (from guidance), أَفَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي تَوَلَّى
Wa 'A`ţá Qalīlāan Wa 'Akdá َ053-034 And gives but a little (in the cause of Allâh) and does it grudgingly. وَأَعْطَى قَلِيلا ً وَأَكْدَى
'A`indahu `Ilmu Al-Ghaybi Fahuwa Yará َ053-035 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see (his own future)? أَعِنْدَه ُُ عِلْمُ الْغَيْبِ فَهُوَ يَرَى
'Am Lam Yunabba' Bimā Fī Şuĥufi Mūsá َ053-036 Has he not been informed of the contents of the Scriptures of Moses, أَمْ لَمْ يُنَبَّأْ بِمَا فِي صُحُفِ مُوسَى
Wa 'Ibrāhīma Al-Ladhī Wa Ffá َ053-037 And (those of) Abraham who thoroughly and faithfully fulfilled (the commandments of his Lord). وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ الَّذِي وَفَّى
'Allā Taziru Wāziratun Wizra 'Ukh َ053-038 (The Scriptures say that) no soul that bears a burden shall bear the burden of another (soul). أَلاَّ تَزِرُ وَازِرَة ٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَى
Wa 'An Laysa Lil'insāni 'Illā Mā Sa`á َ053-039 And that a human being will have (to his account) what he strives for. وَأَنْ لَيْسَ لِلإِنسَانِ إِلاَّ مَا سَعَى
Wa 'Anna Sa`yahu Sawfa Yurá َ053-040 And that his strivings shall necessarily be seen (and evaluated), وَأَنَّ سَعْيَه ُُ سَوْفَ يُرَى
Thumma Yujzāhu Al-Jazā'a Al-'Awfá َ053-041 Then will he be recompensed fully and fairly. ثُمَّ يُجْزَاهُ الْجَزَاءَ الأَوْفَى
Wa 'Anna 'Ilá Rabbika Al-Muntahá َ053-042 And that to your Lord is the eventual return. وَأَنَّ إِلَى رَبِّكَ الْمُنْتَهَى
Wa 'Annahu Huwa 'Ađĥaka Wa 'Ab َ053-043 And that it is He alone Who makes people laugh and weep. وَأَنَّه ُُ هُوَ أَضْحَكَ وَأَبْكَى
Wa 'Annahu Huwa 'Amāta Wa 'Aĥyā َ053-044 And that it is He alone Who causes death and brings to life. وَأَنَّه ُُ هُوَ أَمَاتَ وَأَحْيَا
Wa 'Annahu Khalaqa Az-Zawjayni Adh-Dhakara Wa Al-'Unthá َ053-045 And that He Himself created the two species - male and female; وَأَنَّه ُُ خَلَقَ الزَّوْجَيْنِ الذَّكَرَ وَالأُنْثَى
Min Nuţfatin 'Idhā Tumná َ053-046 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted. مِنْ نُطْفَة ٍ إِذَا تُمْنَى
Wa 'Anna `Alayhi An-Nash'ata Al-'Ukh َ053-047 That it is He upon whom rests the raising (of the dead) again to life. وَأَنَّ عَلَيْهِ النَّشْأَةَ الأُخْرَى
Wa 'Annahu Huwa 'Aghná Wa 'Aqná َ053-048 And that it is He Who fulfills the needs and endows (the gift of) capital contentment, and grants wealth. وَأَنَّه ُُ هُوَ أَغْنَى وَأَقْنَى
Wa 'Annahu Huwa Rabbu Ash-Shi`rá َ053-049 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius (- a star worshipped by some polytheists). وَأَنَّه ُُ هُوَ رَبُّ الشِّعْرَى
Wa 'Annahu 'Ahlaka `Ādāan Al-'Ū َ053-050 And that He destroyed the ancient (tribe of) `âd; وَأَنَّهُ~ُ أَهْلَكَ عَادا ً الأُولَى
Wa Thamūda Famā 'Ab َ053-051 And (the tribe of) Thamûd, so that He spared not a single soul of them. وَثَمُودَ فَمَا أَبْقَى
Wa Qawma Nūĥin Min Qablu  ۖ  'Innahum Kānū Hum 'Ažlama Wa 'Aţghá َ053-052 And (He destroyed) the people of Noah before (them). They were extremely wicked and most rebellious. وَقَوْمَ نُوح ٍ مِنْ قَبْلُ  ۖ  إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا هُمْ أَظْلَمَ وَأَطْغَى
Wa Al-Mu'utafikata 'Ahwá َ053-053 And (that it is He) Who totally pulled down the subverted cities (- Sodom and Gomorrah of the people of Lot), وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَةَ أَهْوَى
Faghashshāhā Mā Ghashshá َ053-054 So they were completely covered with that which overwhelms (when the punishment befalls). فَغَشَّاهَا مَا غَشَّى
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbika Tatamārá َ053-055 (O human being!) which of the bounties of your Lord will you then doubt and dispute? فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكَ تَتَمَارَى
dhā Nadhīrun Mina An-Nudhuri Al-'Ū َ053-056 This (Prophet) is a Warner (towards all the peoples of the worlds) from among the (series of) Warners (to one particular people) of old. هَذَا نَذِير ٌ مِنَ النُّذُرِ الأُولَى
'Azifati Al-'Āzifahu َ053-057 (The Hour of punishment) that was (promised) to come has drawn nigh. أَزِفَتِ الآزِفَةُ
Laysa Lahā Min Dūni Al-Lahi Kāshifahun َ053-058 None can avert this (doom) besides Allâh. لَيْسَ لَهَا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ كَاشِفَة ٌ
'Afamin Hādhā Al-Ĥadīthi Ta`jabūna َ053-059 Do you then wonder at this announcement (and yet pay no heed to it), أَفَمِنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ تَعْجَبُونَ
Wa Tađĥakūna Wa Lā Tabkūna َ053-060 (For on hearing the mention of the Hour of punishment) you laugh rather than weep. وَتَضْحَكُونَ وَلاَ تَبْكُونَ
Wa 'Antum Sāmidūna َ053-061 And you remain proudly heedless and haughty. وَأَنْتُمْ سَامِدُونَ
Fāsjudū Lillahi Wa A`budū َ053-062 You should better prostrate yourselves before Allâh and worship (Him). [Prostration] فَاسْجُدُوا لِلَّهِ وَاعْبُدُوا
