41) سُورَة فُصِّلَتْ

Ĥā-Mīm َ041-001 Hâ Mîm. حَا-مِيم
Tanzīlun Mina Ar-Raĥmāni Ar-Raĥīmi َ041-002 The compilation and orderly arrangement (of this Qur´ân) proceeds from the Most Gracious, the Ever Merciful (God). تَنزِيل ٌ مِنَ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Kitābun Fuşşilat 'Āyātuhu Qur'ānāan `Arabīyāan Liqawmin Ya`lamūna َ041-003 (It is) a Book, the verses of which are detailed and clear in exposition. It is beautifully inter linked, (and it is in a language that) makes the meanings eloquently clear. It is very useful for a people who have knowledge. كِتَاب ٌ فُصِّلَتْ آيَاتُه ُُ قُرْآناً عَرَبِيّا ً لِقَوْم ٍ يَعْلَمُونَ
Bashīrāan Wa Nadhīrāan Fa'a`rađa 'Aktharuhum Fahum Lā Yasma`ūna َ041-004 It is a bearer of good tidings and a warner, yet most of these (people) turn away (from it) because they do not (even) give (it) ear. بَشِيرا ً وَنَذِيرا ً فَأَعْرَضَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ فَهُمْ لاَ يَسْمَعُونَ
Wa Qālū Qulūbunā Fī 'Akinnatin Mimmā Tad`ūnā 'Ilayhi Wa Fī 'Ādhāninā Waqrun Wa Min Bayninā Wa Baynika Ĥijābun Fā`mal 'Innanā `Āmilūna َ041-005 And they say, `Our hearts are (fortified) within a covering against that (Book) towards which you call us. We are deaf in the ear and there exists a barrier between us and you. So carry on your work (according to your creed) and surely we are the workers (in accordance with our own doctrines).´ وَقَالُوا قُلُوبُنَا فِي أَكِنَّة ٍ مِمَّا تَدْعُونَا إِلَيْهِ وَفِي آذَانِنَا وَقْر ٌ وَمِنْ بَيْنِنَا وَبَيْنِكَ حِجَاب ٌ فَاعْمَلْ إِنَّنَا عَامِلُونَ
Qul 'Innamā 'Anā Basharun Mithlukum Yūĥá 'Ilayya 'Annamā 'Ilahukum 'Ilahun Wāĥidun Fāstaqīmū 'Ilayhi Wa Astaghfirūhu  ۗ  Wa Waylun Lilmushrikīna َ041-006 Say, `I am but a human being like yourselves (with the only difference that) it is revealed to me that your God is One God, so stick to the straight path (leading) to Him and ask for His protection.´ And woe be to the polytheists; قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَر ٌ مِثْلُكُمْ يُوحَى إِلَيَّ أَنَّمَا إِلَهُكُمْ إِلَه ٌ ٌ وَاحِد ٌ فَاسْتَقِيمُوا إِلَيْهِ وَاسْتَغْفِرُوه ُُ  ۗ  وَوَيْل ٌ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ
Al-Ladhīna Lā Yu'utūna Az-Zakāata Wa Hum Bil-'Ākhirati Hum Kāfirūna َ041-007 Those who do not present the Zakât (- purifying dues) and who are disbelievers in the Hereafter also. الَّذِينَ لاَ يُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَهُمْ بِالآخِرَةِ هُمْ كَافِرُونَ
'Inna Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Lahum 'Ajrun Ghayru Mamnūnin َ041-008 (On the contrary) those who believe and do deeds of righteousness, there awaits them a reward never to be cut off. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُون ٍ
Qul 'A'innakum Latakfurūna Bial-Ladhī Khalaqa Al-'Arđa Fī Yawmayni Wa Taj`alūna Lahu 'Andādāan  ۚ  Dhālika Rabbu Al-`Ālamīna َ041-009 Say, `Would you really disbelieve in Him Who created the earth in two aeons? And do you set up compeers with Him?´ He alone is the Lord of the worlds. قُلْ أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَكْفُرُونَ بِالَّذِي خَلَقَ الأَرْضَ فِي يَوْمَيْنِ وَتَجْعَلُونَ لَهُ~ُ أَندَادا ً  ۚ  ذَلِكَ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Wa Ja`ala Fīhā Rawāsiya Min Fawqihā Wa Bāraka Fīhā Wa Qaddara Fīhā 'Aqwātahā Fī 'Arba`ati 'Ayyāmin Sawā'an Lilssā'ilīna َ041-010 He placed therein (- in the earth) firm mountains rising above (its surface) and showered it with His blessings and placed in it various provisions according to a set measure, (provisions to which) all those who require them have equal rights, (and all this He created) in four aeons. وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ مِنْ فَوْقِهَا وَبَارَكَ فِيهَا وَقَدَّرَ فِيهَا أَقْوَاتَهَا فِي أَرْبَعَةِ أَيَّام ٍ سَوَاء ً لِلسَّائِلِينَ
Thumma Astawá 'Ilá As-Samā'i Wa Hiya Dukhānun Faqāla Lahā Wa Lil'arđi Ai'tiyā Ţaw`āan 'Aw Karhāan Qālatā 'Ataynā Ţā'i`īna َ041-011 Again, He directed Himself towards the space. Behold! it was (like) a mass of gas. (The Almighty God) said to it (- the space) and to the earth, `Come both of you (in obedience to Me) willingly or unwillingly.´ They said, `We obey you with all our will.´ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى إِلَى السَّمَاءِ وَهِيَ دُخَان ٌ فَقَالَ لَهَا وَلِلأَرْضِ اِئْتِيَا طَوْعاً أَوْ كَرْها ً قَالَتَا أَتَيْنَا طَائِعِينَ
Faqađāhunna Sab`a Samāwātin Fī Yawmayni Wa 'Awĥá Fī Kulli Samā'in 'Amrahā  ۚ  Wa Zayyannā As-Samā'a Ad-Dunyā Bimaşābīĥa Wa Ĥifžāan  ۚ  Dhālika Taqdīru Al-`Azīzi Al-`Alīmi َ041-012 So He ordained them seven heavens in two aeons and assigned to each (heaven) its (relevant) function. And We decked the nearest heaven with lamps (- shining stars for light) and made it to guard. Such is the decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. فَقَضَاهُنَّ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَات ٍ فِي يَوْمَيْنِ وَأَوْحَى فِي كُلِّ سَمَاءٍ أَمْرَهَا  ۚ  وَزَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِمَصَابِيحَ وَحِفْظا ً  ۚ  ذَلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ
Fa'in 'A`rađū Faqul 'Andhartukum Şā`iqatan Mithla Şā`iqati `Ādin Wa Thamūda َ041-013 But if even now they turn away then say, `I have warned you of a scourge which will be like the scourge (that befell the people) of `âd and Thamûd.´ فَإِنْ أَعْرَضُوا فَقُلْ أَنذَرْتُكُمْ صَاعِقَة ً مِثْلَ صَاعِقَةِ عَاد ٍ وَثَمُودَ
'Idh Jā'at/humu Ar-Rusulu Min Bayni 'Aydīhim Wa Min Khalfihim 'Allā Ta`budū 'Illā Al-Laha  ۖ  Qālū Law Shā'a Rabbunā La'anzala Malā'ikatan Fa'innā Bimā 'Ursiltum Bihi Kāfirūna َ041-014 When the Messengers (of God) came to them (successively) from before them and from behind them (- from all directions with the teaching) `Worship none but Allâh.´ They said, `If Allâh had willed (to send Messengers), He would certainly have sent angels. So we are indeed disbelievers in that (teachings) with which you have been sent.´ إِذْ جَاءَتْهُمُ الرُّسُلُ مِنْ بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ أَلاَّ تَعْبُدُوا إِلاَّ اللَّهَ  ۖ  قَالُوا لَوْ شَاءَ رَبُّنَا لَأَنزَلَ مَلاَئِكَة ً فَإِنَّا بِمَا أُرْسِلْتُمْ بِه ِِ كَافِرُونَ
Fa'ammā `Ādun Fāstakbarū Fī Al-'Arđi Bighayri Al-Ĥaqqi Wa Qālū Man 'Ashaddu Minnā Qūwatan  ۖ  'Awalam Yaraw 'Anna Al-Laha Al-Ladhī Khalaqahum Huwa 'Ashaddu Minhum Qūwatan  ۖ  Wa Kānū Bi'āyātinā Yajĥadūna َ041-015 As for (the people of) `âd, they behaved arrogantly in the land without any justification and said, `Who is mightier than we?´ Do they not see that Allâh, Who had created them, is Mightier than they? And (not only that they behaved arrogantly) they went on denying Our Messages persistently. فَأَمَّا عَاد ٌ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا فِي الأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَقَالُوا مَنْ أَشَدُّ مِنَّا قُوَّةً  ۖ  أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّ اللَّهَ الَّذِي خَلَقَهُمْ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّة ً  ۖ  وَكَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ
Fa'arsalnā `Alayhim Rīĥāan Şarşarāan Fī 'Ayyāmin Naĥisātin Linudhīqahum `Adhāba Al-Khizyi Fī Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā  ۖ  Wa La`adhābu Al-'Ākhirati 'Akhzá  ۖ  Wa Hum Lā Yunşarūna َ041-016 So We sent upon them a furious wind for several (of their) ominous days in order to make them suffer a punishment of humiliation in this life, and the punishment which awaits them in the Hereafter will surely be more humiliating, and against which they will not be helped. فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحا ً صَرْصَرا ً فِي أَيَّام ٍ نَحِسَات ٍ لِنُذِيقَهُمْ عَذَابَ الْخِزْيِ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا  ۖ  وَلَعَذَابُ الآخِرَةِ أَخْزَى  ۖ  وَهُمْ لاَ يُنْصَرُونَ
Wa 'Ammā Thamūdu Fahadaynāhum Fāstaĥabbū Al-`Amá `Alá Al-Hudá Fa'akhadhat/hum Şā`iqatu Al-`Adhābi Al-Hūni Bimā Kānū Yaksibūna َ041-017 As for (the tribe of) Thamûd, We gave them guidance, but they preferred misguidance to guidance so the scourge of a humiliating punishment seized them on account of the (bad) deeds they had done. وَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَهَدَيْنَاهُمْ فَاسْتَحَبُّوا الْعَمَى عَلَى الْهُدَى فَأَخَذَتْهُمْ صَاعِقَةُ الْعَذَابِ الْهُونِ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
Wa Najjaynā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa Kānū Yattaqūna َ041-018 Yet We delivered those who believed and guarded against evil. وَنَجَّيْنَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَكَانُوا يَتَّقُونَ
Wa Yawma Yuĥsharu 'A`dā'u Al-Lahi 'Ilá An-Nāri Fahum Yūza`ūna َ041-019 Beware of the day when the enemies of Allâh will be resurrected (and) driven towards the Fire; while they will be formed into different groups. وَيَوْمَ يُحْشَرُ أَعْدَاءُ اللَّهِ إِلَى النَّارِ فَهُمْ يُوزَعُونَ
Ĥattá 'Idhā Mā Jā'ūShahida `Alayhim Sam`uhum Wa 'Abşāruhum Wa Julūduhum Bimā Kānū Ya`malūna َ041-020 Till, when they all reach it (- the Hell) their hearing and their eyes and their skins will be (testifying to and) bearing witness against them as to their (mis)deeds. حَتَّى إِذَا مَا جَاءُوهَا شَهِدَ عَلَيْهِمْ سَمْعُهُمْ وَأَبْصَارُهُمْ وَجُلُودُهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
Wa Qālū Lijulūdihim Lima Shahidtum `Alaynā  ۖ  Qālū 'Anţaqanā Al-Lahu Al-Ladhī 'Anţaqa Kulla Shay'in Wa Huwa Khalaqakum 'Awwala Marratin Wa 'Ilayhi Turja`ūna َ041-021 And they will say to their skins, `Why did you bear witness against us?´ They will reply, `Allâh made us speak as He had given speech to everything else. And (disbelievers!) it is He Who created you the first time and to Him you have been brought back. وَقَالُوا لِجُلُودِهِمْ لِمَ شَهِدْتُمْ عَلَيْنَا  ۖ  قَالُوا أَنطَقَنَا اللَّهُ الَّذِي أَنطَقَ كُلَّ شَيْء ٍ وَهُوَ خَلَقَكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّة ٍ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
Wa Mā Kuntum Tastatirūna 'An Yash/hada `Alaykum Sam`ukum Wa Lā 'Abşārukum Wa Lā Julūdukum Wa Lakin Žanantum 'Anna Al-Laha Lā Ya`lamu Kathīrāan Mimmā Ta`malūna َ041-022 `And (while committing sinful acts) you could not hide yourselves from the fact that neither your (own) hearing, nor your own eyes, nor your own skins should bear witness against you. As a matter of fact you had assumed that (even) Allâh did not know much of what you used to do, وَمَا كُنْتُمْ تَسْتَتِرُونَ أَنْ يَشْهَدَ عَلَيْكُمْ سَمْعُكُمْ وَلاَ أَبْصَارُكُمْ وَلاَ جُلُودُكُمْ وَلَكِنْ ظَنَنْتُمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَعْلَمُ كَثِيرا ً مِمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ
Wa Dhalikum Žannukumu Al-Ladhī Žanantum Birabbikum 'Ardākum Fa'aşbaĥtum Mina Al-Khāsirīna َ041-023 `And it was this (very wrong) belief of yours which you hold about your Lord that has ruined you, so that you have now become of the losers.´ وَذَلِكُمْ ظَنُّكُمُ الَّذِي ظَنَنتُمْ بِرَبِّكُمْ أَرْدَاكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُمْ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ
Fa'in Yaşbirū Fālnnāru Mathwáan Lahum  ۖ  Wa 'In Yasta`tibū Famā Hum Mina Al-Mu`tabīna َ041-024 Now, if (in this state of theirs) they show patience (even then) the Fire is their resort. And if they ask to be allowed to approach the threshold (of God´s Throne) they will not be of those who are allowed to approach the threshold (to seek His forgiveness and mercy). فَإِنْ يَصْبِرُوا فَالنَّارُ مَثْوى ً لَهُمْ  ۖ  وَإِنْ يَسْتَعْتِبُوا فَمَا هُمْ مِنَ الْمُعْتَبِينَ
Wa Qayyađnā Lahum Quranā'a Fazayyanū Lahum Mā Bayna 'Aydīhim Wa Mā Khalfahum Wa Ĥaqqa `Alayhimu Al-Qawlu Fī 'Umamin Qad Khalat Min Qablihim Mina Al-Jinni Wa Al-'Insi  ۖ  'Innahum Kānū Khāsirīna َ041-025 And We had assigned to them certain companions who made (the sinful acts) which were being committed in their presence, and those which had been done behind them (in their past), seem fair and attractive to them. The verdict (of punishment) stands confirmed against them as it did in the case of the sinful communities of jinn (- fiery and houghty natured) and (ordinary) people who had passed away before them. As a matter of fact they all were losers. وَقَيَّضْنَا لَهُمْ قُرَنَاءَ فَزَيَّنُوا لَهُمْ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَحَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقَوْلُ فِي أُمَم ٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالإِنسِ  ۖ  إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا خَاسِرِينَ
Wa Qāla Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Lā Tasma`ū Lihadhā Al-Qur'āni Wa Al-Ghaw Fīhi La`allakum Taghlibūna َ041-026 And those who took to disbelief say, `Do not listen to this Qur´ân, but (when it is recited) interrupt it by making noise so that you may gain the upper hand.´ وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لاَ تَسْمَعُوا لِهَذَا الْقُرْآنِ وَالْغَوْا فِيه ِِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَغْلِبُونَ
Falanudhīqanna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū `Adhābāan Shadīdāan Wa Lanajziyannahum 'Aswa'a Al-Ladhī Kānū Ya`malūna َ041-027 We shall most surely make those who disbelieve meet with severe punishment and we shall certainly recompense them for the worst what they did. فَلَنُذِيقَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا عَذَابا ً شَدِيدا ً وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَسْوَأَ الَّذِي كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
Dhālika Jazā'u 'A`dā'i Al-Lahi An-Nāru  ۖ  Lahum Fīhā Dāru Al-Khuldi  ۖ  Jazā'an Bimā Kānū Bi'āyātinā Yajĥadūna َ041-028 Such is the punishment of the enemies of Allâh. It is the Fire. They shall find in it a long-lasting home. (The punishment is) a recompense of their persistently denying of Our Messages. ذَلِكَ جَزَاءُ أَعْدَاءِ اللَّهِ النَّارُ  ۖ  لَهُمْ فِيهَا دَارُ الْخُلْدِ  ۖ  جَزَاء ً بِمَا كَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ
Wa Qāla Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Rabbanā 'Arinā Al-Ladhayni 'Ađallānā Mina Al-Jinni Wa Al-'Insi Naj`alhumā Taĥta 'Aqdāminā Liyakūnā Mina Al-'Asfalīna َ041-029 (There) the disbelievers will say, `Our Lord! show us those (two sets of people) who led us astray from among both the jinn (- houghty) and (ordinary) people that we may trample them under our feet with the result that they become of the most abased and humiliated ones.´ وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا رَبَّنَا أَرِنَا الَّذَيْنِ أَضَلاَّنَا مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالإِنْسِ نَجْعَلْهُمَا تَحْتَ أَقْدَامِنَا لِيَكُونَا مِنَ الأَسْفَلِينَ
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Qālū Rabbunā Al-Lahu Thumma Astaqāmū Tatanazzalu `Alayhimu Al-Malā'ikatu 'Allā Takhāfū Wa Lā Taĥzanū Wa 'Abshirū Bil-Jannati Allatī Kuntum Tū`adūna َ041-030 Verily, those who say, `Allâh is our Lord,´ and then remain steadfast (and follow the straight path), the angels will descend upon them (saying), `Have no fear nor grieve rather rejoice at the glad tidings of receiving the Gardens (of Paradise) which you have been promised. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا رَبُّنَا اللَّهُ ثُمَّ اسْتَقَامُوا تَتَنَزَّلُ عَلَيْهِمُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ أَلاَّ تَخَافُوا وَلاَ تَحْزَنُوا وَأَبْشِرُوا بِالْجَنَّةِ الَّتِي كُنْتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ
Naĥnu 'Awliyā'uukum Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa Fī Al-'Ākhirati  ۖ  Wa Lakum Fīhā Mā Tashtahī 'Anfusukum Wa Lakum Fīhā Mā Tadda`ūna َ041-031 `We are your Patron in the present life and in the Hereafter and you shall find in that (Paradise) all that you desire and you shall have therein all that you ask for, نَحْنُ أَوْلِيَاؤُكُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَفِي الآخِرَةِ  ۖ  وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَا تَشْتَهِي أَنفُسُكُمْ وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَا تَدَّعُونَ
Nuzulāan Min Ghafūrin Raĥīmin َ041-032 `By way of hospitality and reward from the Great Protector, Ever Merciful (God).´ نُزُلا ً مِنْ غَفُور ٍ رَحِيم ٍ
Wa Man 'Aĥsanu Qawlāan Mimman Da`ā 'Ilá Al-Lahi Wa `Amila Şāliĥāan Wa Qāla 'Innanī Mina Al-Muslimīna َ041-033 And who speaks more fair than the person who calls people towards Allâh and (accordingly) does what is right and says, `I am invariably of those who submit (before God).´ وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ قَوْلا ً مِمَّنْ دَعَا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحا ً وَقَالَ إِنَّنِي مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ
Wa Lā Tastawī Al-Ĥasanatu Wa Lā As-Sayyi'atu  ۚ  Adfa` Bi-Atī Hiya 'Aĥsanu Fa'idhā Al-Ladhī Baynaka Wa Baynahu `Adāwatun Ka'annahu Wa Līyun Ĥamīmun َ041-034 And good and evil are not alike. Repel (evil) with that (benign and graceful way) which is best, and lo, the person between whom and you there is enmity will behave as if he were your warm-hearted friend. وَلاَ تَسْتَوِي الْحَسَنَةُ وَلاَ السَّيِّئَةُ  ۚ  ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ فَإِذَا الَّذِي بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَه ُُ عَدَاوَة ٌ كَأَنَّه ُُ وَلِيٌّ حَمِيم ٌ
Wa Mā Yulaqqāhā 'Illā Al-Ladhīna Şabarū Wa Mā Yulaqqāhā 'Illā Dhū Ĥažžin `Ažīmin َ041-035 Yet it is only the steadfast and patiently persevering who are allowed this (grace) and it is only those who possess a large share of good who are allowed this (moral standard). وَمَا يُلَقَّاهَا إِلاَّ الَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا وَمَا يُلَقَّاهَا إِلاَّ ذُو حَظٍّ عَظِيم ٍ
Wa 'Immā Yanzaghannaka Mina Ash-Shayţāni Nazghun Fāsta`idh Bil-Lahi  ۖ  'Innahu Huwa As-Samī`u Al-`Alīmu َ041-036 Should some sort of trouble from satan vex you, seek refuge in Allâh. For surely He, only He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing. وَإِمَّا يَنْزَغَنَّكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ نَزْغ ٌ فَاسْتَعِذْ بِاللَّهِ  ۖ  إِنَّه ُُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
Wa Min 'Āyātihi Al-Laylu Wa An-Nahāru Wa Ash-Shamsu Wa Al-Qamaru  ۚ  Lā Tasjudū Lilshshamsi Wa Lā Lilqamari Wa Asjudū Lillahi Al-Ladhī Khalaqahunna 'In Kuntum 'Īyāhu Ta`budūna َ041-037 And the night and the day, and the sun and the moon are some of His signs. Pay no homage to the sun or the moon, rather pay homage to Allâh Who created them, if it is Him Whom you really worship. وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ اللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ وَالشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ  ۚ  لاَ تَسْجُدُوا لِلشَّمْسِ وَلاَ لِلْقَمَرِ وَاسْجُدُوا لِلَّهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَهُنَّ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ إِيَّاه ُُ تَعْبُدُونَ
Fa'ini Astakbarū Fa-Al-Ladhīna `Inda Rabbika Yusabbiĥūna Lahu Bil-Layli Wa An-Nahāri Wa Hum Lā Yas'amūna َ041-038 If they wax too proud (to prostrate before Him let them know that) those who are the near ones of your Lord glorify Him night and day and they never grow weary (of it). (Prostration) فَإِنِ اسْتَكْبَرُوا فَالَّذِينَ عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ يُسَبِّحُونَ لَه ُُ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَهُمْ لاَ يَسْأَمُونَ
Wa Min 'Āyātihi 'Annaka Tará Al-'Arđa Khāshi`atan Fa'idhā 'Anzalnā `Alayhā Al-Mā'a Ahtazzat Wa Rabat  ۚ  'Inna Al-Ladhī 'Aĥyāhā Lamuĥyī Al-Mawtá  ۚ  'Innahu `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun َ041-039 And it is (one) of His signs that the earth that looks to you desolate stirs up (with life) and swells (producing herbage) when We shower rain water on it. Verily, He (the Almighty Lord) Who gives it life will surely raise the dead to life (as well). Verily, He is the Possessor of power over every desired thing. وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ~ِ أَنَّكَ تَرَى الأَرْضَ خَاشِعَة ً فَإِذَا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْهَا الْمَاءَ اهْتَزَّتْ وَرَبَتْ  ۚ  إِنَّ الَّذِي أَحْيَاهَا لَمُحْيِي الْمَوْتَى  ۚ  إِنَّه ُُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ قَدِير ٌ
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Yulĥidūna Fī 'Āyātinā Lā Yakhfawna `Alaynā  ۗ  'Afaman Yulqá Fī An-Nāri Khayrun 'Am Man Ya'tī 'Āmināan Yawma Al-Qiyāmati  ۚ  A`malū Mā Shi'tum  ۖ  'Innahu Bimā Ta`malūna Başīrun َ041-040 Surely, those who follow crooked ways regarding Our teachings, are not hidden from Us. (You can judge for yourselves) whether he who is cast into the Fire better or he who comes on the Day of Resurrection in peaceful security. (Now after this clarification you are free to) do what you will but (remember) He keeps a keen watch over all that you do. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُلْحِدُونَ فِي آيَاتِنَا لاَ يَخْفَوْنَ عَلَيْنَا  ۗ  أَفَمَنْ يُلْقَى فِي النَّارِ خَيْرٌ أَمْ مَنْ يَأْتِي آمِنا ً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ  ۚ  اعْمَلُوا مَا شِئْتُمْ  ۖ  إِنَّه ُُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِير ٌ
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Bidh-Dhikri Lammā Jā'ahum  ۖ  Wa 'Innahu Lakitābun `Azīzun َ041-041 Those who disbelieve in the Reminder (- the Qur´ân) when it comes to them, while it is truly an invincible Book (they will meet the fate of the lost ones). إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِالذِّكْرِ لَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ  ۖ  وَإِنَّه ُُ لَكِتَابٌ عَزِيز ٌ
Lā Ya'tīhi Al-Bāţilu Min Bayni Yadayhi Wa Lā Min Khalfihi  ۖ  Tanzīlun Min Ĥakīmin Ĥamīdin َ041-042 Falsehood cannot approach it (- the Qur´ân) neither from the front nor from behind. (It is) a revelation that proceeds portion by portion from One All-Wise, the Most Praiseworthy (God). لاَ يَأْتِيهِ الْبَاطِلُ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَلاَ مِنْ خَلْفِه ِِ  ۖ  تَنزِيل ٌ مِنْ حَكِيمٍ حَمِيد ٍ
Mā Yuqālu Laka 'Illā Mā Qad Qīla Lilrrusuli Min Qablika  ۚ  'Inna Rabbaka Ladhū Maghfiratin Wa Dhū `Iqābin 'Alīmin َ041-043 Nothing is said (in the form of objection) to you what was not already said to the Messengers before you. Verily, your Lord is Master of Protection (for the believers) and (also) Master of woeful retribution (for the disbelievers). مَا يُقَالُ لَكَ إِلاَّ مَا قَدْ قِيلَ لِلرُّسُلِ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ  ۚ  إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو مَغْفِرَة ٍ وَذُو عِقَابٍ أَلِيم ٍ
Wa Law Ja`alnāhu Qur'ānāan 'A`jamīyāan Laqālū Lawlā Fuşşilat 'Āyātuhu  ۖ  'A'a`jamīyun Wa `Arabīyun  ۗ  Qul Huwa Lilladhīna 'Āmanū Hudáan Wa Shifā'un Wa  ۖ  Al-Ladhīna Lā Yu'uminūna Fī 'Ādhānihim Waqrun Wa Huwa `Alayhim `Amáan 'Ūlā'ika  ۚ  Yunādawna Min Makānin Ba`īdin َ041-044 Had We made it a Qur´ân in indistinct and inexpressive language, these (faultfinders) would have surely said, `Why has not (the subject matter of) its verses been made clear in exposition?´ What! can indistinct and inexpressive language and an eloquently clear language (be one and the same thing). Say, `It is a wonderful guidance and healing to those who believe.´ But (as to those) who do not believe there is deafness in their ears and this (Qur´ân) is obscure to them (with regard to its factual truth). And they are (as if to say) being called to from a place afar. وَلَوْ جَعَلْنَاه ُُ قُرْآناً أَعْجَمِيّا ً لَقَالُوا لَوْلاَ فُصِّلَتْ آيَاتُهُ~ُ  ۖ  أَأَعْجَمِيّ ٌ وَعَرَبِيّ ٌ  ۗ  قُلْ هُوَ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا هُدى ً وَشِفَاء ٌ  ۖ  وَالَّذِينَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ فِي آذَانِهِمْ وَقْر ٌ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِمْ عَمىً  ۚ  أُوْلَائِكَ يُنَادَوْنَ مِنْ مَكَان ٍ بَعِيد ٍ
Wa Laqad 'Ātaynā Mūsá Al-Kitāba Fākhtulifa Fīhi  ۗ  Wa Lawlā Kalimatun Sabaqat Min Rabbika Laquđiya Baynahum  ۚ  Wa 'Innahum Lafī Shakkin Minhu Murībin َ041-045 And indeed We gave Moses the Scripture but (when the followers of the Scripture began tampering with it) differences arose about it. Had it not been a word (of promise) already made by your Lord the judgment (between them the disbelievers) would have been passed long ago (by the destruction of those who dispute about the prophecy). And they are in disquieting and grave doubt concerning this (- the fulfillment of the prophecy). وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ فَاخْتُلِفَ فِيه ِِ  ۗ  وَلَوْلاَ كَلِمَة ٌ سَبَقَتْ مِنْ رَبِّكَ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ  ۚ  وَإِنَّهُمْ لَفِي شَكّ ٍ مِنْهُ مُرِيب ٍ
Man `Amila Şāliĥāan Falinafsihi  ۖ  Wa Man 'Asā'a Fa`alayhā  ۗ  Wa Mā Rabbuka Bižallāmin Lil`abīdi َ041-046 He that does right, does it for the good of his own soul, and he that does evil, it shall recoil on him. And your Lord is the least unjust to (His) servants. مَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحا ً فَلِنَفْسِه ِِ  ۖ  وَمَنْ أَسَاءَ فَعَلَيْهَا  ۗ  وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِظَلاَّم ٍ لِلْعَبِيدِ
'Ilayhi Yuraddu `Ilmu As-Sā`ati  ۚ  Wa Mā Takhruju Min Thamarātin Min 'Akmāmihā Wa Mā Taĥmilu Min 'Unthá Wa Lā Tađa`u 'Illā Bi`ilmihi  ۚ  Wa Yawma Yunādīhim 'Ayna Shurakā'ī Qālū 'Ādhannāka Mā Minnā Min Shahīdin َ041-047 He alone is accredited to have knowledge of the (promised) Hour. And no fruit come forth from their sheaths, nor does any female conceive nor does she give birth (to a being), but (every thing takes place) according to His knowledge. The day when He will call out to them (the polytheists, saying), `Where are My partners (you associated with Me)?´ They will say, `We declare before You, none of us is a confessor (now that they are Your partners).´ إِلَيْهِ يُرَدُّ عِلْمُ السَّاعَةِ  ۚ  وَمَا تَخْرُجُ مِنْ ثَمَرَات ٍ مِنْ أَكْمَامِهَا وَمَا تَحْمِلُ مِنْ أُنثَى وَلاَ تَضَعُ إِلاَّ بِعِلْمِه ِِ  ۚ  وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ أَيْنَ شُرَكَائِي قَالُوا آذَنَّاكَ مَا مِنَّا مِنْ شَهِيد ٍ
Wa Đalla `Anhum Mā Kānū Yad`ūna Min Qablu  ۖ  Wa Žannū Mā Lahum Min Maĥīşin َ041-048 (Not only that) those (false gods) whom they called upon (in their worship) before that, will be lost to them, they will know for certain that they have no place of escape. وَضَلَّ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَدْعُونَ مِنْ قَبْلُ  ۖ  وَظَنُّوا مَا لَهُمْ مِنْ مَحِيص ٍ
Lā Yas'amu Al-'Insānu Min Du`ā'i Al-Khayri Wa 'In Massahu Ash-Sharru Faya'ūsun Qanūţun َ041-049 A person does not grow weary of praying for good but if evil befalls him, he becomes despondent, despaired of all hope. لاَ يَسْأَمُ الإِنْسَانُ مِنْ دُعَاءِ الْخَيْرِ وَإِنْ مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ فَيَئُوس ٌ قَنُوط ٌ
Wa La'in 'Adhaqnāhu Raĥmatan Minnā Min Ba`di Đarrā'a Massat/hu Layaqūlanna Hādhā Lī Wa Mā 'Ažunnu As-Sā`ata Qā'imatan Wa La'in Ruji`tu 'Ilá Rabbī 'Inna Lī `Indahu Lalĥusná  ۚ  Falanunabbi'anna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Bimā `Amilū Wa Lanudhīqannahum Min `Adhābin Ghalīžin َ041-050 Yet if We show him mercy from Ourselves after he has suffered affliction, he will surely say, `This is my due. I do not believe that the (promised) Hour will (ever) come (to be established). And if I am (at all) brought back to my Lord, I shall of course, have with Him the very best (of all the goodly things). Yet (on the Day of Requital) We will surely tell those who disbelieve plainly all that they did, and accordingly We will make them suffer a terrible punishment. وَلَئِنْ أَذَقْنَاه ُُ رَحْمَة ً مِنَّا مِنْ بَعْدِ ضَرَّاءَ مَسَّتْهُ لَيَقُولَنَّ هَذَا لِي وَمَا أَظُنُّ السَّاعَةَ قَائِمَة ً وَلَئِنْ رُجِعْتُ إِلَى رَبِّي إِنَّ لِي عِنْدَه ُُ لَلْحُسْنَى  ۚ  فَلَنُنَبِّئَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِمَا عَمِلُوا وَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُمْ مِنْ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظ ٍ
Wa 'Idhā 'An`amnā `Alá Al-'Insāni 'A`rađa Wa Na'á Bijānibihi Wa 'Idhā Massahu Ash-Sharru Fadhū Du`ā'in `Arīđin َ041-051 And when We bestow a favour on a person he turns aside (ungratefully) and behaves with pride. But when evil befalls him, he is full of lengthy supplications and prayers. وَإِذَا أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَى الإِنْسَانِ أَعْرَضَ وَنَأى بِجَانِبِه ِِ وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ فَذُو دُعَاءٍ عَرِيض ٍ
Qul 'Ara'aytum 'In Kāna Min `Indi Al-Lahi Thumma Kafartum Bihi Man 'Ađallu Mimman Huwa Fī Shiqāqin Ba`īdin َ041-052 Say, `Have you ever considered that if it (- the Qur´ân) be from Allâh and yet you disbelieve in it, who is steeped in greater error than the one who has gone far in opposition (to Him and His Qur´ân)?´ قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ كَانَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ كَفَرْتُمْ بِه ِِ مَنْ أَضَلُّ مِمَّنْ هُوَ فِي شِقَاق ٍ بَعِيد ٍ
Sanurīhim 'Āyātinā Fī Al-'Āfāqi Wa Fī 'Anfusihim Ĥattá Yatabayyana Lahum 'Annahu Al-Ĥaqqu  ۗ  'Awalam Yakfi Birabbika 'Annahu `Alá Kulli Shay'in Shahīdun َ041-053 We shall soon show these (disbelievers for their guidance) Our signs even in the remotest regions (of the earth) and in their own persons until it becomes quite manifest to them that this (Qur´ân) is the lasting truth infact. Is it not enough (for them) that your Lord indeed keeps watch over everything? سَنُرِيهِمْ آيَاتِنَا فِي الآفَاقِ وَفِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ حَتَّى يَتَبَيَّنَ لَهُمْ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ  ۗ  أَوَلَمْ يَكْفِ بِرَبِّكَ أَنَّه ُُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ شَهِيد ٌ
'Alā 'Innahum Fī Miryatin Min Liqā'i Rabbihim  ۗ  'Alā 'Innahu Bikulli Shay'in Muĥīţun َ041-054 Look! they are in disquieting and grave doubt about the meeting with their Lord. Beware! He certainly encompasses every thing (in His Knowledge and power). أَلاَ إِنَّهُمْ فِي مِرْيَة ٍ مِنْ لِقَاءِ رَبِّهِمْ  ۗ  أَلاَ إِنَّه ُُ بِكُلِّ شَيْء ٍ مُحِيط ٌ
