Ţā-Sīn-Mīm َ028-001 Tâ Sîn Mîm. طَا-سِين-مِيم
Tilka 'Āyātu Al-Kitābi Al-Mubīni َ028-002 These are the verses of the perfect Book which explains everything vividly. تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْكِتَابِ الْمُبِينِ
Natlū `Alayka Min Naba'i Mūsá Wa Fir`awna Bil-Ĥaqqi Liqawmin Yu'uminūna َ028-003 We recount to you (a portion) of the true account of Moses and Pharaoh with all accuracy for the benefit of the people who would believe. نَتْلُو عَلَيْكَ مِنْ نَبَإِ مُوسَى وَفِرْعَوْنَ بِالْحَقِّ لِقَوْم ٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ
'Inna Fir`awna `Alā Fī Al-'Arđi Wa Ja`ala 'Ahlahā Shiya`āan Yastađ`ifu Ţā'ifatan Minhum Yudhabbiĥu 'Abnā'ahum Wa Yastaĥyī Nisā'ahum  ۚ  'Innahu Kāna Mina Al-Mufsidīna َ028-004 (The facts are,) Pharaoh behaved arrogantly in (his) land. He divided its inhabitants into parties. He (oppressed them and thus) sought to weaken a section of them (- the Israelites). He killed their sons and sought to make their women immodest by sparing them. Infact he was of the evil doers. إِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ عَلاَ فِي الأَرْضِ وَجَعَلَ أَهْلَهَا شِيَعا ً يَسْتَضْعِفُ طَائِفَة ً مِنْهُمْ يُذَبِّحُ أَبْنَاءَهُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيِي نِسَاءَهُمْ  ۚ  إِنَّه ُُ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُفْسِدِينَ
Wa Nurīdu 'An Namunna `Alá Al-Ladhīna Astuđ`ifū Fī Al-'Arđi Wa Naj`alahum 'A'immatan Wa Naj`alahumu Al-Wārithīna َ028-005 And We chose to confer favour upon those who had been rendered weak in the land and to make them leaders and to bestow a kingdom upon them, thus make them inheritors (of Our blessings). وَنُرِيدُ أَنْ نَمُنَّ عَلَى الَّذِينَ اسْتُضْعِفُوا فِي الأَرْضِ وَنَجْعَلَهُمْ أَئِمَّة ً وَنَجْعَلَهُمُ الْوَارِثِينَ
Wa Numakkina Lahum Al-'Arđi Wa Nuriya Fir`awna Wa Hāmāna Wa Junūdahumā Minhum Mā Kānū Yaĥdharūna َ028-006 And (We chose) to establish them with all powers in the country and to visit Pharaoh and Hâmân and their hordes with that (power and supremacy) which they dreaded from those (Israelites rendered weak by them). وَنُمَكِّنَ لَهُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ وَنُرِيَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَهَامَانَ وَجُنُودَهُمَا مِنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَحْذَرُونَ
Wa 'Awĥaynā 'Ilá 'Ummi Mūsá 'An 'Arđi`īhi  ۖ  Fa'idhā Khifti `Alayhi Fa'alqīhi Fī Al-Yammi Wa Lā Takhāfī Wa Lā Taĥzanī  ۖ  'Innā Rāddūhu 'Ilayki Wa Jā`ilūhu Mina Al-Mursalīna َ028-007 And We revealed to the mother of Moses (saying), `Give him (- Moses) suck. But when you have fear about him (- his life) cast him (placing him in a chest) into the river and entertain no fear, nor grief (about his welfare). Verily, We shall restore him to you and shall make him (one) of the Messengers.´ وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَى أُمِّ مُوسَى أَنْ أَرْضِعِيه ِِ  ۖ  فَإِذَا خِفْتِ عَلَيْهِ فَأَلْقِيه ِِ فِي الْيَمِّ وَلاَ تَخَافِي وَلاَ تَحْزَنِي  ۖ  إِنَّا رَادُّوهُ~ُ إِلَيْكِ وَجَاعِلُوه ُُ مِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Fāltaqaţahu 'Ālu Fir`awna Liyakūna Lahum `Adūwāan Wa Ĥazanāan  ۗ  'Inna Fir`awna Wa Hāmāna Wa Junūdahumā Kānū Khāţi'īna َ028-008 (Moses´ mother cast him into the river according to the revelation,) then one of the family of Pharaoh picked him up with the result that he (one day) became an enemy to and (a source of) grief for them. Verily, Pharaoh, Hâmân and the hordes of them both were all wrong-doers. فَالْتَقَطَهُ آلُ فِرْعَوْنَ لِيَكُونَ لَهُمْ عَدُوّا ً وَحَزَنا ً  ۗ  إِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ وَهَامَانَ وَجُنُودَهُمَا كَانُوا خَاطِئِينَ
Wa Qālat Amra'atu Fir`awna Qurratu `Aynin Lī Wa Laka  ۖ  Lā Taqtulūhu `Asá 'An Yanfa`anā 'Aw Nattakhidhahu Waladāan Wa Hum Lā Yash`urūna َ028-009 And a woman of (the family of) Pharaoh said, `(This child will be) a (source of) joy and comfort to my and your eyes. Do not kill him, he may (prove to) be useful to us, or we may adopt him as a son.´ And they did not perceive (Our purpose). وَقَالَتْ امْرَأَةُ فِرْعَوْنَ قُرَّةُ عَيْن ٍ لِي وَلَكَ  ۖ  لاَ تَقْتُلُوه ُُ عَسَى أَنْ يَنفَعَنَا أَوْ نَتَّخِذَه ُُ وَلَدا ً وَهُمْ لاَ يَشْعُرُونَ
Wa 'Aşbaĥa Fu'uādu 'Ummi Mūsá Fārighāan  ۖ  'In Kādat Latubdī Bihi Lawlā 'An Rabaţnā `Alá Qalbihā Litakūna Mina Al-Mu'uminīna َ028-010 And the heart of the mother of Moses became free (from anxiety). She would have nearly disclosed his identity ( out of joy, how Allâh had become guardian of her child) had We not strengthened her heart to help her remain of the (firm minded) believers. وَأَصْبَحَ فُؤَادُ أُمِّ مُوسَى فَارِغا ً  ۖ  إِنْ كَادَتْ لَتُبْدِي بِه ِِ لَوْلاَ أَنْ رَبَطْنَا عَلَى قَلْبِهَا لِتَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa Qālat Li'khtihi Quşşīhi  ۖ  Fabaşurat Bihi `An Junubin Wa Hum Lā Yash`urūna َ028-011 She said to his (- Moses´) sister, `Follow him.´ So she (followed and) watched him from a distance while they (- Pharaoh´s people) took no notice (that she was keeping a watch over him). وَقَالَتْ لِأخْتِه ِِ قُصِّيه ِِ  ۖ  فَبَصُرَتْ بِه ِِ عَنْ جُنُب ٍ وَهُمْ لاَ يَشْعُرُونَ
Wa Ĥarramnā `Alayhi Al-Marāđi`a Min Qablu Faqālat Hal 'Adullukum `Alá 'Ahli Baytin Yakfulūnahu Lakum Wa Hum Lahu Nāşiĥūna َ028-012 And We had already (ordained and) made him refuse the wet nurses (to be suckled). So (when the question of his suckling arose after Moses was picked up from the river,) she (- Moses sister) said, `Shall I point out to you the people of a household who will bring him up for you and will be his sincere well-wishers?´ وَحَرَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِ الْمَرَاضِعَ مِنْ قَبْلُ فَقَالَتْ هَلْ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى أَهْلِ بَيْت ٍ يَكْفُلُونَه ُُ لَكُمْ وَهُمْ لَه ُُ نَاصِحُونَ
Faradadnāhu 'Ilá 'Ummihi Kay Taqarra `Aynuhā Wa Lā Taĥzana Wa Lita`lama 'Anna Wa`da Al-Lahi Ĥaqqun Wa Lakinna 'Aktharahum Lā Ya`lamūna َ028-013 This was how We restored him to his mother so that she might be consoled (to see her child) and should no longer grieve and that she might know that the promise of Allâh was true; (a fact which) most of these (disbelievers of the Holy Prophet) do not know. فَرَدَدْنَاهُ~ُ إِلَى أُمِّه ِِ كَيْ تَقَرَّ عَيْنُهَا وَلاَ تَحْزَنَ وَلِتَعْلَمَ أَنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقّ ٌ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ
Wa Lammā Balagha 'Ashuddahu Wa Astawá 'Ātaynāhu Ĥukmāan Wa `Ilmāan  ۚ  Wa Kadhalika Naj Al-Muĥsinīna َ028-014 And when he (- Moses) reached his (age of) full growth (and maturity) and attained perfection, We granted him wisdom and knowledge. That is how We reward the doers of good. وَلَمَّا بَلَغَ أَشُدَّه ُُ وَاسْتَوَى آتَيْنَاه ُُ حُكْما ً وَعِلْما ً  ۚ  وَكَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
Wa Dakhala Al-Madīnata `Alá Ĥīni Ghaflatin Min 'Ahlihā Fawajada Fīhā Rajulayni Yaqtatilāni Hādhā Min Shī`atihi Wa Hadhā Min `Adūwihi  ۖ  Fāstaghāthahu Al-Ladhī Min Shī`atihi `Alá Al-Ladhī Min `Adūwihi Fawakazahu Mūsá Faqađá `Alayhi  ۖ  Qāla Hādhā Min `Amali Ash-Shayţāni  ۖ  'Innahu `Adūwun Muđillun Mubīnun َ028-015 And (one day Moses) entered the city at a time when its inhabitants were idling (in a state of heedlessness), and found therein two men fighting with one another; one of his own party (- an Israelite), while the other (belonged to that) of his enemies. The one who belonged to his own people sought his (- Moses´) help against the other who belonged to those of his enemies. Thereat Moses struck him (the latter) with his fist and this brought about his death. He (- Moses) said, `This (death of his) has occurred owing to (his) satanic action; he (- satan) is of course an enemy (of yours) misleading (and) cutting your ties (with God).´ وَدَخَلَ الْمَدِينَةَ عَلَى حِينِ غَفْلَة ٍ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا فَوَجَدَ فِيهَا رَجُلَيْنِ يَقْتَتِلاَنِ هَذَا مِنْ شِيعَتِه ِِ وَهَذَا مِنْ عَدُوِّه ِِ  ۖ  فَاسْتَغَاثَهُ الَّذِي مِنْ شِيعَتِه ِِ عَلَى الَّذِي مِنْ عَدُوِّه ِِ فَوَكَزَه ُُ مُوسَى فَقَضَى عَلَيْهِ  ۖ  قَالَ هَذَا مِنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ  ۖ  إِنَّه ُُ عَدُوّ ٌ مُضِلّ ٌ مُبِين ٌ
Qāla Rabbi 'Innī Žalamtu Nafsī Fāghfir Lī Faghafara Lahu  ۚ  'Innahu Huwa Al-Ghafūru Ar-Raĥīmu َ028-016 (Moses) said (praying), `My Lord! I have involved myself into trouble, so protect me.´ Thereupon He protected him (from the evil consequences of his act). Verily, He is the Great Protector, the Ever Merciful. قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي فَغَفَرَ لَهُ~ُ  ۚ  إِنَّه ُُ هُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ
Qāla Rabbi Bimā 'An`amta `Alayya Falan 'Akūna Žahīrāan Lilmujrimīna َ028-017 He (also) added, `My Lord! since You have always been kind and gracious to me, I can never be a helper and a supporter of the guilty?´ قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَا أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ فَلَنْ أَكُونَ ظَهِيرا ً لِلْمُجْرِمِينَ
Fa'aşbaĥa Fī Al-Madīnati Khā'ifāan Yataraqqabu Fa'idhā Al-Ladhī Astanşarahu Bil-'Amsi Yastaşrikhuhu  ۚ  Qāla Lahu Mūsá 'Innaka Laghawīyun Mubīnun َ028-018 (The next day) early in the morning he entered the city apprehensive (of the enemy and) observing (the situation). And lo! the man who had sought his help the day before (again that day) cried out to him for help. Moses said to him, `You are a misguided fellow, away from the path of peace and piety.´ فَأَصْبَحَ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ خَائِفا ً يَتَرَقَّبُ فَإِذَا الَّذِي اسْتَنصَرَه ُُ بِالأَمْسِ يَسْتَصْرِخُه ُُ  ۚ  قَالَ لَه ُُ مُوسَى إِنَّكَ لَغَوِيّ ٌ مُبِين ٌ
Falammā 'An 'Arāda 'An Yabţisha Bial-Ladhī Huwa `Adūwun Lahumā Qāla Yā Mūsá 'Aturīdu 'An Taqtulanī Kamā Qatalta Nafsāan Bil-'Amsi  ۖ  'In Turīdu 'Illā 'An Takūna Jabbārāan Al-'Arđi Wa Mā Turīdu 'An Takūna Mina Al-Muşliĥīna َ028-019 And when Moses intended to lay hold of the man (of the day before) who was (now) an enemy to both of them, the man said, `Moses! do you intend to kill me (today) as you killed a person yesterday? You are only trying to figure as a tyrant in the country. You have no mind to be of the promoters of peace.´ فَلَمَّا أَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَبْطِشَ بِالَّذِي هُوَ عَدُوّ ٌ لَهُمَا قَالَ يَامُوسَى أَتُرِيدُ أَنْ تَقْتُلَنِي كَمَا قَتَلْتَ نَفْسا ً بِالأَمْسِ إِنْ  ۖ  تُرِيدُ إِلاَّ أَنْ تَكُونَ جَبَّارا ً فِي الأَرْضِ وَمَا تُرِيدُ أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُصْلِحِينَ
Wa Jā'a Rajulun Min 'Aqşá Al-Madīnati Yas`á Qāla Yā Mūsá 'Inna Al-Mala'a Ya'tamirūna Bika Liyaqtulūka Fākhruj 'Innī Laka Mina An-Nāşiĥīna َ028-020 (Then it came to pass that) a man came running from the far end of the city (and) said, `Moses the chiefs are consulting together to kill you. Therefore leave (this place at once), I am, of course, your sincere well-wisher.´ وَجَاءَ رَجُل ٌ مِنْ أَقْصَى الْمَدِينَةِ يَسْعَى قَالَ يَامُوسَى إِنَّ الْمَلَأَ يَأْتَمِرُونَ بِكَ لِيَقْتُلُوكَ فَاخْرُجْ إِنِّي لَكَ مِنَ النَّاصِحِينَ
Fakharaja Minhā Khā'ifāan Yataraqqabu  ۖ  Qāla Rabbi Najjinī Mina Al-Qawmi Až-Žālimīna َ028-021 So (Moses) left that (city) in fear and he kept watching (around) carefully. He said (praying at that time), `My Lord! deliver me from the unjust people.´ فَخَرَجَ مِنْهَا خَائِفا ً يَتَرَقَّبُ  ۖ  قَالَ رَبِّ نَجِّنِي مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ
Wa Lammā Tawajjaha Tilqā'a Madyana Qāla `Asá Rabbī 'An Yahdiyanī Sawā'a As-Sabīl َ028-022 When (Moses) set out turning his face towards Midian he said, `I hope my Lord will put me on the right course till I reach the goal.´ وَلَمَّا تَوَجَّه ََ تِلْقَاءَ مَدْيَنَ قَالَ عَسَى رَبِّي أَنْ يَهْدِيَنِي سَوَاءَ السَّبِيل
Wa Lammā Warada Mā'a Madyana Wajada `Alayhi 'Ummatan Mina An-Nāsi Yasqūna Wa Wajada Min Dūnihimu Amra'tayni Tadhūdāni  ۖ  Qāla Mā Khaţbukumā  ۖ  Qālatā Lā Nasqī Ĥattá Yuşdira Ar-Ri`ā'u  ۖ  Wa 'Abūnā Shaykhun Kabīrun َ028-023 And when he arrived at the water of Midian, he found there a party of men watering (their flocks) and he found two ladies (standing) apart from them, holding (their flock) back. He said, `What is your problem?´ they replied, `We cannot water (our flock) until the shepherds depart (having driven their flocks away), and our father is a very old man.´ وَلَمَّا وَرَدَ مَاءَ مَدْيَنَ وَجَدَ عَلَيْهِ أُمَّة ً مِنَ النَّاسِ يَسْقُونَ وَوَجَدَ مِنْ دُونِهِمُ امْرَأتَيْنِ تَذُودَانِ  ۖ  قَالَ مَا خَطْبُكُمَا  ۖ  قَالَتَا لاَ نَسْقِي حَتَّى يُصْدِرَ الرِّعَاءُ  ۖ  وَأَبُونَا شَيْخ ٌ كَبِير ٌ
Fasaqá Lahumā Thumma Tawallá 'Ilá Až-Žilli Faqāla Rabbi 'Innī Limā 'Anzalta 'Ilayya Min Khayrin Faqīrun َ028-024 So (Moses) watered (their flock) for them. Then he retired to (a place with) the shade and said, `My Lord! I stand in need of whatever good You may bestow on me.´ فَسَقَى لَهُمَا ثُمَّ تَوَلَّى إِلَى الظِّلِّ فَقَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْر ٍ فَقِير ٌ
Fajā'at/hu 'Iĥdāhumā Tamshī `Alá Astiĥyā'in Qālat 'Inna 'Abī Yad`ūka Liyajziyaka 'Ajra Mā Saqayta Lanā  ۚ  Falammā Jā'ahu Wa Qaşşa `Alayhi Al-Qaşaşa Qāla Lā Takhaf  ۖ  Najawta Mina Al-Qawmi Až-Žālimīna َ028-025 Now one of the two ladies came to him walking bashfully. She said, `My father calls you so that he may reward you for your having watered our flock (for us).´ So when he (Moses) came to him and told him all that had taken place (with him), he (the father of the two ladies) said, `Have no fear, you have escaped from the unjust people.´ فَجَاءَتْهُ إِحْدَاهُمَا تَمْشِي عَلَى اسْتِحْيَاء ٍ قَالَتْ إِنَّ أَبِي يَدْعُوكَ لِيَجْزِيَكَ أَجْرَ مَا سَقَيْتَ لَنَا  ۚ  فَلَمَّا جَاءَه ُُ وَقَصَّ عَلَيْهِ الْقَصَصَ قَالَ لاَ تَخَفْ  ۖ  نَجَوْتَ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ
Qālat 'Iĥdāhumā Yā 'Abati Asta'jirhu  ۖ  'Inna Khayra Mani Asta'jarta Al-Qawīyu Al-'Amīnu َ028-026 One of the two ladies said, `My dear father! take him into your service. You cannot do better than employ a man who is strong and trustworthy.´ قَالَتْ إِحْدَاهُمَا يَاأَبَتِ اسْتَأْجِرْهُ إِنَّ  ۖ  خَيْرَ مَنِ اسْتَأْجَرْتَ الْقَوِيُّ الأَمِينُ
Qāla 'Innī 'Urīdu 'An 'Unkiĥaka 'Iĥdá Abnatayya Hātayni `Alá 'An Ta'juranī Thamāniyata Ĥijajin  ۖ  Fa'in 'Atmamta `Ashrāan Famin `Indika  ۖ  Wa Mā 'Urīdu 'An 'Ashuqqa `Alayka  ۚ  Satajidunī 'In Shā'a Al-Lahu Mina Aş-Şāliĥīna َ028-027 He (their father) said (to Moses), `I intend to marry one of these two daughters of mine to you, provided you stay in my service for eight years. But if you extend (your stay) making it complete ten (years) it will be an act of grace on your part. I have no desire to be hard on you by laying any more burden (of responsibility) on you. Allâh willing, you will find me an upright person.´ قَالَ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُنكِحَكَ إِحْدَى ابْنَتَيَّ هَاتَيْنِ عَلَى أَنْ تَأْجُرَنِي ثَمَانِيَةَ حِجَج ٍ  ۖ  فَإِنْ أَتْمَمْتَ عَشْرا ً فَمِنْ عِنْدِكَ  ۖ  وَمَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَيْكَ  ۚ  سَتَجِدُنِي إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
Qāla Dhālika Baynī Wa Baynaka  ۖ  'Ayyamā Al-'Ajalayni Qađaytu Falā `Udwāna `Alayya Wa  ۖ  Allāhu `Alá Mā Naqūlu Wa Kīlun َ028-028 (Moses) said, (accepting the proposal), `This is (a covenant) between us; whichever of the two terms I complete, I will be free from obligation and there shall be no injustice to me, and Allâh is witness over what we have agreed.´ قَالَ ذَلِكَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ  ۖ  أَيَّمَا الأَجَلَيْنِ قَضَيْتُ فَلاَ عُدْوَانَ عَلَيَّ  ۖ  وَاللَّهُ عَلَى مَا نَقُولُ وَكِيل ٌ
Falammā Qađá Mūsá Al-'Ajala Wa Sāra Bi'ahlihi 'Ānasa Min Jānibi Aţūri Nārāan Qāla Li'hlihi Amkuthū 'Innī 'Ānastu Nārāan La`allī 'Ātīkum Minhā Bikhabarin 'Aw Jadhwatin Mina An-Nāri La`allakum Taşţalūna َ028-029 And when Moses had completed the agreed term and set forth with his family, he saw with feelings of warmth of affection and love, a sort of fire (on the way at a place) in the direction of the mount. He said to his family, `You stay (here) I have seen with feelings of warmth of love and affection a fire. I hope to bring you some useful and important information from there or (at least) a burning brand from the fire that you may warm yourselves.´ فَلَمَّا قَضَى مُوسَى الأَجَلَ وَسَارَ بِأَهْلِهِ آنَسَ مِنْ جَانِبِ الطُّورِ نَارا ً قَالَ لِأهْلِهِ امْكُثُوا إِنِّي آنَسْتُ نَارا ً لَعَلِّي آتِيكُمْ مِنْهَا بِخَبَرٍ أَوْ جَذْوَة ٍ مِنَ النَّارِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَصْطَلُونَ
Falammā 'Atāhā Nūdī Min Shāţi'i Al-Wādī Al-'Aymani Fī Al-Buq`ati Al-Mubārakati Mina Ash-Shajarati 'An Yā Mūsá 'Innī 'Anā Al-Lahu Rabbu Al-`Ālamīna َ028-030 And when he came close to it (- the fire) a voice called out to him from a blessed spot on the right side of the valley, from the direction of a tree, `Moses! surely I am, Allâh, the Lord of the worlds. فَلَمَّا أَتَاهَا نُودِي مِنْ شَاطِئِ الْوَادِي الأَيْمَنِ فِي الْبُقْعَةِ الْمُبَارَكَةِ مِنَ الشَّجَرَةِ أَنْ يَامُوسَى إِنِّي أَنَا اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Wa 'An 'Alqi `Aşāka  ۖ  Falammā Ra'āhā Tahtazzu Ka'annahā Jānnun Wallá Mudbirāan Wa Lam Yu`aqqib  ۚ  Yā Mūsá 'Aqbil Wa Lā Takhaf  ۖ  'Innaka Mina Al-'Āminīna َ028-031 `And put down your staff on the ground.´ Then, no sooner did he see it (- the staff) shifting like a tiny quickly moving serpent, than he turned his back and retreated and would not even look back. (God said,) `Moses! come forward, and have no fear. Surely, you are of those who are safe. وَأَنْ أَلْقِ عَصَاكَ  ۖ  فَلَمَّا رَآهَا تَهْتَزُّ كَأَنَّهَا جَانّ ٌ وَلَّى مُدْبِرا ً وَلَمْ يُعَقِّبْ  ۚ  يَامُوسَى أَقْبِلْ وَلاَ تَخَفْ إِنَّكَ  ۖ  مِنَ الآمِنِينَ
Asluk Yadaka Fī Jaybika Takhruj Bayđā'a Min Ghayri Sū'in Wa Ađmum 'Ilayka Janāĥaka Mina Ar-Rahbi  ۖ  Fadhānika Burhānāni Min Rabbika 'Ilá Fir`awna Wa Mala'ihi  ۚ  'Innahum Kānū Qawmāan Fāsiqīna َ028-032 `Insert your hand into your bosom, it will come forth flawless (sparkling) white and draw back your arm towards yourself (to compose yourself) when you encounter fear. So these (two signs) are two proofs from your Lord to (be presented before) Pharaoh and his courtiers. For surely they are lawless and disobedient people. اسْلُكْ يَدَكَ فِي جَيْبِكَ تَخْرُجْ بَيْضَاءَ مِنْ غَيْرِ سُوء ٍ وَاضْمُمْ إِلَيْكَ جَنَاحَكَ مِنَ الرَّهْبِ  ۖ  فَذَانِكَ بُرْهَانَانِ مِنْ رَبِّكَ إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِ~ِ  ۚ  إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْما ً فَاسِقِينَ
Qāla Rabbi 'Innī Qataltu Minhum Nafsāan Fa'akhāfu 'An Yaqtulūni َ028-033 (Moses) said, `My Lord! I killed a person from among them (accidentally) and I fear that they will kill me (before I am able to fulfill my mission). قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي قَتَلْتُ مِنْهُمْ نَفْسا ً فَأَخَافُ أَنْ يَقْتُلُونِ
Wa 'Akhī Hārūnu Huwa 'Afşaĥu Minnī Lisānāan Fa'arsilhu Ma`iya Rid'āan Yuşaddiqunī  ۖ  'Innī 'Akhāfu 'An Yukadhdhibūni َ028-034 `And my brother Aaron is more fluent and eloquent in speech than I, so send him with me as a helper to bear me out (for) I fear that they will treat me as a liar.´ وَأَخِي هَارُونُ هُوَ أَفْصَحُ مِنِّي لِسَانا ً فَأَرْسِلْهُ مَعِيَ رِدْءا ً يُصَدِّقُنِي  ۖ  إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يُكَذِّبُونِ
Qāla Sanashuddu `Ađudaka Bi'akhīka Wa Naj`alu Lakumā Sulţānāan Falā Yaşilūna 'Ilaykumā  ۚ  Bi'āyātinā 'Antumā Wa Mani Attaba`akumā Al-Ghālibūna َ028-035 (God) said, `We will surely strengthen your arm with your brother and We will give both of you so much power that they shall not reach you (to do you harm). So (go armed) with Our signs; you two and your followers will come out victorious.´ قَالَ سَنَشُدُّ عَضُدَكَ بِأَخِيكَ وَنَجْعَلُ لَكُمَا سُلْطَانا ً فَلاَ يَصِلُونَ إِلَيْكُمَا  ۚ  بِآيَاتِنَا أَنْتُمَا وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَكُمَا الْغَالِبُونَ
Falammā Jā'ahum Mūsá Bi'āyātinā Bayyinātin Qālū Mā Hādhā 'Illā Siĥrun Muftaráan Wa Mā Sami`nā Bihadhā Fī 'Ābā'inā Al-'Awwalīna َ028-036 So when Moses came to them (- the people of Pharaoh) with Our clear signs they said, `This is but a forged and unprecedented fraud. We never heard such a thing in the time of our forefathers.´ فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ مُوسَى بِآيَاتِنَا بَيِّنَات ٍ قَالُوا مَا هَذَا إِلاَّ سِحْر ٌ مُفْتَرى ً وَمَا سَمِعْنَا بِهَذَا فِي آبَائِنَا الأَوَّلِينَ
Wa Qāla Mūsá Rabbī 'A`lamu Biman Jā'a Bil-Hudá Min `Indihi Wa Man Takūnu Lahu `Āqibatu Ad-Dāri  ۖ  'Innahu Lā Yufliĥu Až-Žālimūna َ028-037 And Moses said, `My Lord knows best who it is that has brought true guidance from Him, and who shall meet a good end in this world (and will have the reward of final abode in the Hereafter). The truth is that these wrongdoers shall never prosper.´ وَقَالَ مُوسَى رَبِّي أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ جَاءَ بِالْهُدَى مِنْ عِنْدِه ِِ وَمَنْ تَكُونُ لَه ُُ عَاقِبَةُ الدَّارِ  ۖ  إِنَّهُ لاَ يُفْلِحُ الظَّالِمُونَ
Wa Qāla Fir`awnu Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Mala'u Mā `Alimtu Lakum Min 'Ilahin Ghayrī Fa'awqid Lī Yā Hāmānu `Alá Aţīni Fāj`al Lī Şarĥāan La`allī 'Aţţali`u 'Ilá 'Ilahi Mūsá Wa 'Innī La'ažunnuhu Mina Al-Kādhibīna َ028-038 And Pharaoh said, `O chiefs of my court! I know for you no god other than myself. And O Hâmân! light a fire for me on (the bricks of) clay and get a high building, (high like a tower) be built for me that I may (by climbing over it) have a look at the God of Moses, for I take him to be certainly of those who tell lies.´ وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ يَاأَيُّهَا الْمَلَأُ مَا عَلِمْتُ لَكُمْ مِنْ إِلَه ٍٍ غَيْرِي فَأَوْقِدْ لِي يَاهَامَانُ عَلَى الطِّينِ فَاجْعَل لِي صَرْحا ً لَعَلِّي أَطَّلِعُ إِلَى إِلَه ِِ مُوسَى وَإِنِّي لَأَظُنُّه ُُ مِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ
Wa Astakbara Huwa Wa Junūduhu Fī Al-'Arđi Bighayri Al-Ĥaqqi Wa Žannū 'Annahum 'Ilaynā Lā Yurja`ūna َ028-039 And he (- Pharaoh) and his hosts behaved arrogantly in the land without any justification and as if they thought that they would never be brought back to Us. وَاسْتَكْبَرَ هُوَ وَجُنُودُه ُُ فِي الأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْنَا لاَ يُرْجَعُونَ
Fa'akhadhnāhu Wa Junūdahu Fanabadhnāhum Al-Yammi  ۖ  Fānžur Kayfa Kāna `Āqibatu Až-Žālimīna َ028-040 So We seized him and his hosts and We cast them into the Sea. Behold, how (evil) was the end of these wrongdoers! فَأَخَذْنَاه ُُ وَجُنُودَه ُُ فَنَبَذْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ  ۖ  فَانظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الظَّالِمِينَ
Wa Ja`alnāhum 'A'immatan Yad`ūna 'Ilá An-Nāri  ۖ  Wa Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Lā Yunşarūna َ028-041 And We made them archetypes (of evil) who invited (people) to the Fire, and on the Day of Resurrection they will find no help. وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَئِمَّة ً يَدْعُونَ إِلَى النَّارِ  ۖ  وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لاَ يُنصَرُونَ
Wa 'Atba`nāhum Fī Hadhihi Ad-Dunyā La`natan  ۖ  Wa Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Hum Mina Al-Maqbūĥīna َ028-042 And We have made them to be followed by a curse in this world and on the Day of Resurrection they will be among those deprived of all good. وَأَتْبَعْنَاهُمْ فِي هَذِهِ الدُّنْيَا لَعْنَة ً  ۖ  وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ هُمْ مِنَ الْمَقْبُوحِينَ
Wa Laqad 'Ātaynā Mūsá Al-Kitāba Min Ba`di Mā 'Ahlaknā Al-Qurūna Al-'Ūlá Başā'ira Lilnnāsi Wa Hudáan Wa Raĥmatan La`allahum Yatadhakkarūna َ028-043 After We had destroyed the earlier generations We gave Moses the Scripture (which contained) enlightening arguments for the people (of Israel) and (served as) a guidance and (promised them) mercy so that they might take heed. وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا أَهْلَكْنَا الْقُرُونَ الأُولَى بَصَائِرَ لِلنَّاسِ وَهُدى ً وَرَحْمَة ً لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
Wa Mā Kunta Bijānibi Al-Gharbīyi 'Idh Qađaynā 'Ilá Mūsá Al-'Amra Wa Mā Kunta Mina Ash-Shāhidīn َ028-044 (Prophet!) you were not on the western side (of the Mount of Sinai) when We granted Moses the commission (of prophethood), nor were you (personally) present with the witnesses (there when they were making the prophecy about your advent). وَمَا كُنتَ بِجَانِبِ الْغَرْبِيِّ إِذْ قَضَيْنَا إِلَى مُوسَى الأَمْرَ وَمَا كُنتَ مِنَ الشَّاهِدِين
Wa Lakinnā 'Ansha'nā Qurūnāan Fataţāwala `Alayhimu Al-`Umuru  ۚ  Wa Mā Kunta Thāwīāan Fī 'Ahli Madyana Tatlū `Alayhim 'Āyātinā Wa Lakinnā Kunnā Mursilīna َ028-045 But We have raised many a generation since then (after Moses) and a long period of time has passed over them. Nor have you been living among the people of Midian reciting Our Messages to them. Indeed it is We Who have sent (you as a Messenger) and have revealed all this information (to you). وَلَكِنَّا أَنشَأْنَا قُرُونا ً فَتَطَاوَلَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْعُمُرُ  ۚ  وَمَا كُنتَ ثَاوِيا ً فِي أَهْلِ مَدْيَنَ تَتْلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتِنَا وَلَكِنَّا كُنَّا مُرْسِلِينَ
Wa Mā Kunta Bijānibi Aţūri 'Idh Nādaynā Wa Lakin Raĥmatan Min Rabbika Litundhira Qawmāan Mā 'Atāhum Min Nadhīrin Min Qablika La`allahum Yatadhakkarūna َ028-046 And you were not (present) at the foot of the Mount (with Moses) when We called (to you); but all these (revelation) are from the mercy of your Lord, so that you may warn the people to whom no Warner had come (for a long time) before you, that they may attain eminence. وَمَا كُنتَ بِجَانِبِ الطُّورِ إِذْ نَادَيْنَا وَلَكِنْ رَحْمَة ً مِنْ رَبِّكَ لِتُنذِرَ قَوْما ً مَا أَتَاهُمْ مِنْ نَذِير ٍ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
Wa Lawlā 'An Tuşībahum Muşībatun Bimā Qaddamat 'Aydīhim Fayaqūlū Rabbanā Lawlā 'Arsalta 'Ilaynā Rasūlāan Fanattabi`a 'Āyātika Wa Nakūna Mina Al-Mu'uminīna َ028-047 And (We have sent you to them) lest when some evil befalls them because of that their hands have sent forward, they should say, `Our Lord, why did You not send a Messenger to us? (If You had sent one) we would have followed Your commandments and would have been of the believers.´ وَلَوْلاَ أَنْ تُصِيبَهُمْ مُصِيبَة ٌ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُوا رَبَّنَا لَوْلاَ أَرْسَلْتَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولا ً فَنَتَّبِعَ آيَاتِكَ وَنَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Falammā Jā'ahumu Al-Ĥaqqu Min `Indinā Qālū Lawlā 'Ūtiya Mithla Mā 'Ūtiya Mūsá  ۚ  'Awalam Yakfurū Bimā 'Ūtiya Mūsá Min Qablu  ۖ  Qālū Siĥrāni Tažāharā Wa Qālū 'Innā Bikullin Kāfirūna َ028-048 But now that the truth has come to them from Us they say, `Why has he (- this Messenger) not been given the like of that which was given to Moses?´ Did the people (- the disbelievers) not reject before this that which was given to Moses? They say, `They (- Moses and Muhammad) are both frauds who support each other.´ They also say, `We reject (the claim of) each one of them.´ فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ عِنْدِنَا قَالُوا لَوْلاَ أُوتِيَ مِثْلَ مَا أُوتِيَ مُوسَى  ۚ  أَوَلَمْ يَكْفُرُوا بِمَا أُوتِيَ مُوسَى مِنْ قَبْلُ  ۖ  قَالُوا سِحْرَانِ تَظَاهَرَا وَقَالُوا إِنَّا بِكُلّ ٍ كَافِرُونَ
Qul Fa'tū Bikitābin Min `Indi Al-Lahi Huwa 'Ahdá Minhumā 'Attabi`hu 'In Kuntum Şādiqīna َ028-049 Say, `If (Moses and Muhammad are both fraudulent and) you speak the truth, then bring a Book from Allâh which is a better guide than these two (- the Torah and the Qur´ân), that I may follow it.´ قُلْ فَأْتُوا بِكِتَاب ٍ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ هُوَ أَهْدَى مِنْهُمَا أَتَّبِعْهُ إِنْ كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
Fa'in Lam Yastajībū Laka Fā`lam 'Annamā Yattabi`ūna 'Ahwā'ahum  ۚ  Wa Man 'Ađallu Mimmani Attaba`a Hawāhu Bighayri Hudáan Mina Al-Lahi  ۚ  'Inna Al-Laha Lā Yahdī Al-Qawma Až-Žālimīna َ028-050 If they (do not accept the challenge and) do not answer you, know that they are just following their own low and evil desires. And who should be more erring than one who leaving aside the guidance from Allâh only follows his own low and evil desires. Verily, Allâh does not guide the wrongdoing people to success. فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا لَكَ فَاعْلَمْ أَنَّمَا يَتَّبِعُونَ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ  ۚ  وَمَنْ أَضَلُّ مِمَّنِ اتَّبَعَ هَوَاه ُُ بِغَيْرِ هُدى ً مِنَ اللَّهِ  ۚ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ
Wa Laqad Waşşalnā Lahumu Al-Qawla La`allahum Yatadhakkarūna َ028-051 We have been sending uninterrupted revelations to them so that they may rise to eminence. وَلَقَدْ وَصَّلْنَا لَهُمُ الْقَوْلَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
Al-Ladhīna 'Ātaynāhumu Al-Kitāba Min Qablihi Hum Bihi Yu'uminūna َ028-052 (Many of) the people to whom We gave the Scripture before this (- the Qur´ân) believe in it (too). الَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِه ِِ هُمْ بِه ِِ يُؤْمِنُونَ
Wa 'Idhā Yutlá `Alayhim Qālū 'Āmannā Bihi 'Innahu Al-Ĥaqqu Min Rabbinā 'Innā Kunnā Min Qablihi Muslimīna َ028-053 And when this (Qur´ân) is recited to them, they say, `We believe in it. It is (a revelation) from our Lord, full of truth and wisdom. Indeed, we had submitted (to Him) even before it.´ وَإِذَا يُتْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِهِ~ِ إِنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا مِنْ قَبْلِه ِِ مُسْلِمِينَ
'Ūlā'ika Yu'utawna 'Ajrahum Marratayni Bimā Şabarū Wa Yadra'ūna Bil-Ĥasanati As-Sayyi'ata Wa Mimmā Razaqnāhum Yunfiqūna َ028-054 They are the people who will be given their reward twice over for they have been suffering patiently (for the cause of the truth). They meet evil by repaying it with good and spend (in the cause of Allâh) out of that which We have provided them with. أُوْلَائِكَ يُؤْتَوْنَ أَجْرَهُمْ مَرَّتَيْنِ بِمَا صَبَرُوا وَيَدْرَءُونَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ السَّيِّئَةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ
Wa 'Idhā Sami`ū Al-Laghwa 'A`rađū `Anhu Wa Qālū Lanā 'A`mālunā Wa Lakum 'A`mālukum Salāmun `Alaykum Lā Nabtaghī Al-Jāhilīna َ028-055 And when they hear something vain they turn away from it and say (to those who indulge in vain talk), `We shall reap the fruit of our deeds and you shall reap the fruit of yours.´ (Bidding them good bye then say,) `Peace be upon you. We have no desire to have any concern with the ignorant.´ وَإِذَا سَمِعُوا اللَّغْوَ أَعْرَضُوا عَنْهُ وَقَالُوا لَنَا أَعْمَالُنَا وَلَكُمْ أَعْمَالُكُمْ سَلاَمٌ عَلَيْكُمْ لاَ نَبْتَغِي الْجَاهِلِينَ
'Innaka Lā Tahdī Man 'Aĥbabta Wa Lakinna Al-Laha Yahdī Man Yashā'u  ۚ  Wa Huwa 'A`lamu Bil-Muhtadīna َ028-056 (Prophet!) it is not possible for you to guide whomsoever you wish, but Allâh guides whomsoever He will. He knows fully well those who would accept guidance. إِنَّكَ لاَ تَهْدِي مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ يَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ  ۚ  وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُهْتَدِينَ
Wa Qālū 'In Nattabi`i Al-Hudá Ma`aka Nutakhaţţaf Min 'Arđinā  ۚ  'Awalam Numakkin Lahum Ĥaramāan 'Āmināan Yujbá 'Ilayhi Thamarātu Kulli Shay'in Rizqāan Min Ladunnā Wa Lakinna 'Aktharahum Lā Ya`lamūna َ028-057 (Some of the) people say, `If we join you and follow (this Qur´ânic) guidance we shall be snatched away from our country.´ (Tell them on Our behalf,) `Have We not settled them in a safe (and) secure place to which all kinds of fruit are brought? It is a goodly provision made by Us.´ Yet most of them do not know (this true fact). وَقَالُوا إِنْ نَتَّبِعِ الْهُدَى مَعَكَ نُتَخَطَّفْ مِنْ أَرْضِنَا  ۚ  أَوَلَمْ نُمَكِّنْ لَهُمْ حَرَما ً آمِنا ً يُجْبَى إِلَيْهِ ثَمَرَاتُ كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ رِزْقا ً مِنْ لَدُنَّا وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ
Wa Kam 'Ahlaknā Min Qaryatin Baţirat Ma`īshatahā  ۖ  Fatilka Masākinuhum Lam Tuskan Min Ba`dihim 'Illā Qalīlāan  ۖ  Wa Kunnā Naĥnu Al-Wārithīna َ028-058 We destroyed (so many people of) many a township, who were proud of their civilization and their (easy and plentiful) means of livelihood. There lie their dwellings (all in ruin). They have been but little occupied since. It is We alone Who are Everlasting. وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَرْيَة ٍ بَطِرَتْ مَعِيشَتَهَا  ۖ  فَتِلْكَ مَسَاكِنُهُمْ لَمْ تُسْكَنْ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ إِلاَّ قَلِيلا ً  ۖ  وَكُنَّا نَحْنُ الْوَارِثِينَ
Wa Mā Kāna Rabbuka Muhlika Al-Qurá Ĥattá Yab`atha Fī 'Ummihā Rasūlāan Yatlū `Alayhim 'Āyātinā  ۚ  Wa Mā Kunnā Muhlikī Al-Qurá 'Illā Wa 'Ahluhā Žālimūna َ028-059 Your Lord would never destroy the towns until He has raised a Messenger in their central place to recite to the people thereof Our Messages, nor would We destroy the towns unless their citizens be unjust. وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ مُهْلِكَ الْقُرَى حَتَّى يَبْعَثَ فِي أُمِّهَا رَسُولا ً يَتْلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتِنَا  ۚ  وَمَا كُنَّا مُهْلِكِي الْقُرَى إِلاَّ وَأَهْلُهَا ظَالِمُونَ
Wa Mā 'Ūtītum Min Shay'in Famatā`u Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa Zīnatuhā  ۚ  Wa Mā `Inda Al-Lahi Khayrun Wa 'Abqá  ۚ  'Afalā Ta`qilūna َ028-060 And (O people!) whatever of anything you have been given is only the passing enjoyment of the present life and its (mere) pomp and show. But that (reward) which Allâh has (for you) is much better and more lasting than this. Will you not then make use of your understanding? وَمَا أُوتِيتُمْ مِنْ شَيْء ٍ فَمَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَزِينَتُهَا  ۚ  وَمَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ خَيْر ٌ وَأَبْقَى  ۚ  أَفَلاَ تَعْقِلُونَ
'Afaman Wa`adnāhu Wa`dāan Ĥasanāan Fahuwa Lāqīhi Kaman Matta`nāhu Matā`a Al-Ĥayāati Ad-DunThumma Huwa Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Mina Al-Muĥđarīna َ028-061 Can the person to whom We have made a fair promise, which will be also made good to him, be compared to the one whom We have provided with good things (of passing nature) of this life and who will be among those brought (before Us to render an account of his deeds). أَفَمَنْ وَعَدْنَاه ُُ وَعْداً حَسَنا ً فَهُوَ لاَقِيه ِِ كَمَنْ مَتَّعْنَاه ُُ مَتَاعَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ثُمَّ هُوَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنَ الْمُحْضَرِينَ
Wa Yawma Yunādīhim Fayaqūlu 'Ayna Shurakā'iya Al-Ladhīna Kuntum Taz`umūna َ028-062 (Let these people not forget) the day when He will call to them and say, `Where are My (so called) associated partners about whom you had made (such) pretensions?´ وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُ أَيْنَ شُرَكَائِيَ الَّذِينَ كُنتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ
Qāla Al-Ladhīna Ĥaqqa `Alayhimu Al-Qawlu Rabbanā Hā'uulā' Al-Ladhīna 'Aghwaynā 'Aghwaynāhum Kamā Ghawaynā  ۖ  Tabarra'nā 'Ilayka  ۖ  Mā Kānū 'Īyānā Ya`budūna َ028-063 (Thus) those who have been doomed to condemnation will say, `Our Lord! these are the people whom we led astray, we led them astray even as we had gone astray ourselves. (Now we declare before You that) we have nothing to do with them and we turn to You. It was not us that they worshipped.´ قَالَ الَّذِينَ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقَوْلُ رَبَّنَا هَاؤُلاَء الَّذِينَ أَغْوَيْنَا أَغْوَيْنَاهُمْ كَمَا غَوَيْنَا  ۖ  تَبَرَّأْنَا إِلَيْكَ  ۖ  مَا كَانُوا إِيَّانَا يَعْبُدُونَ
Wa Qīla AdShurakā'akum Fada`awhum Falam Yastajībū Lahum Wa Ra'aw Al-`Adhāba  ۚ  Law 'Annahum Kānū Yahtadūna َ028-064 It will be said (to them), `Call on your (so called) associated partners (with God).´ So they will call on them but they will give them no answer. And they will (actually) see the punishment. (How good it would have been) if they had followed the right path! وَقِيلَ ادْعُوا شُرَكَاءَكُمْ فَدَعَوْهُمْ فَلَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا لَهُمْ وَرَأَوْا الْعَذَابَ  ۚ  لَوْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَهْتَدُونَ
Wa Yawma Yunādīhim Fayaqūlu Mādhā 'Ajabtumu Al-Mursalīna َ028-065 (Let these disbelievers not forget) the day when He will call on them and say, `What response did you make to (the call of) the Messengers?´ وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَا أَجَبْتُمُ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Fa`amiyat `Alayhimu Al-'Anbā'u Yawma'idhin Fahum Lā Yatasā'alūna َ028-066 But on that day they will become confused and forget all their excuses and they will not even (be in a position to) consult one another. فَعَمِيَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الأَنْبَاءُ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ فَهُمْ لاَ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ
Fa'ammā Man Tāba Wa 'Āmana Wa `Amila Şāliĥāan Fa`asá 'An Yakūna Mina Al-Mufliĥīna َ028-067 Yet he who repents and believes and does deeds of righteousness, is likely to be of those who attain the goal. فَأَمَّا مَنْ تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحا ً فَعَسَى أَنْ يَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُفْلِحِينَ
Wa Rabbuka Yakhluqu Mā Yashā'u Wa Yakhtāru  ۗ  Mā Kāna Lahumu Al-Khiyaratu  ۚ  Subĥāna Al-Lahi Wa Ta`ālá `Ammā Yushrikūna َ028-068 And your Lord creates what He will, and chooses (for mankind) whatever is best for them. People have no (such power and) choice. Holy is Allâh and far above all that they associate with Him. وَرَبُّكَ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ وَيَخْتَارُ  ۗ  مَا كَانَ لَهُمُ الْخِيَرَةُ  ۚ  سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَتَعَالَى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
Wa Rabbuka Ya`lamu Mā Tukinnu Şudūruhum Wa Mā Yu`linūna َ028-069 Your Lord knows what they keep secret in their hearts, and (He knows) all that they profess. وَرَبُّكَ يَعْلَمُ مَا تُكِنُّ صُدُورُهُمْ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ
Wa Huwa Al-Lahu Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa  ۖ  Lahu Al-Ĥamdu Fī Al-'Ūlá Wa Al-'Ākhirati  ۖ  Wa Lahu Al-Ĥukmu Wa 'Ilayhi Turja`ūna َ028-070 And He is Allâh, there is no other, cannot be and will never be One worthy of worship but He. All kind of true and perfect praise belongs to Him in the beginning and the Hereafter. The sovereignty and the judgment belongs to Him and to Him shall you be brought back. وَهُوَ اللَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ~َ إِلاَّ هُوَ  ۖ  لَهُ الْحَمْدُ فِي الأُولَى وَالآخِرَةِ  ۖ  وَلَهُ الْحُكْمُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
Qul 'Ara'aytum 'In Ja`ala Al-Lahu `Alaykumu Al-Layla Sarmadāan 'Ilá Yawmi Al-Qiyāmati Man 'Ilahun Ghayru Al-Lahi Ya'tīkum Biđiyā'in  ۖ  'Afalā Tasma`ūna َ028-071 Say, `Have you (ever) considered that if Allâh should make the night continue over you perpetually till the Day of Resurrection there is no god other than Allâh Who could bring you light? Will you not (then) give ear (to the Message of God)?´ قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمُ اللَّيْلَ سَرْمَدا ً إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ مَنْ إِلَه ٌٌ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ يَأْتِيكُمْ بِضِيَاءٍ  ۖ  أَفَلاَ تَسْمَعُونَ
Qul 'Ara'aytum 'In Ja`ala Al-Lahu `Alaykumu An-Nahāra Sarmadāan 'Ilá Yawmi Al-Qiyāmati Man 'Ilahun Ghayru Al-Lahi Ya'tīkum Bilaylin Taskunūna Fīhi  ۖ  'Afalā Tubşirūna َ028-072 Say, `Have you (ever) considered that if Allâh should make the day to continue over you perpetually till the Day of Resurrection, there is no god other than Allâh Who could bring you night wherein you might take rest? Will you not (then) use your eyes (to witness the signs of Allâh)?´ قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمُ النَّهَارَ سَرْمَدا ً إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ مَنْ إِلَه ٌٌ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ يَأْتِيكُمْ بِلَيْل ٍ تَسْكُنُونَ فِيهِ~ِ  ۖ  أَفَلاَ تُبْصِرُونَ
Wa Min Raĥmatihi Ja`ala Lakumu Al-Layla Wa An-Nahāra Litaskunū Fīhi Wa Litabtaghū Min Fađlihi Wa La`allakum Tashkurūna َ028-073 Behold! it is through His mercy that He has made the night and the day for you so that you may take rest therein and seek of His bounty and so that you may render (Him) thanks. وَمِنْ رَحْمَتِه ِِ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ لِتَسْكُنُوا فِيه ِِ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا مِنْ فَضْلِه ِِ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
Wa Yawma Yunādīhim Fayaqūlu 'Ayna Shurakā'iya Al-Ladhīna Kuntum Taz`umūna َ028-074 And (let these disbelievers not forget) the day when He will call to them and say, `Where are My (so called) associated partners about whom you had many pretensions?´ وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُ أَيْنَ شُرَكَائِيَ الَّذِينَ كُنتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ
Wa Naza`nā Min Kulli 'Ummatin Shahīdāan Faqulnā Hātū Burhānakum Fa`alimū 'Anna Al-Ĥaqqa Lillahi Wa Đalla `Anhum Mā Kānū Yaftarūna َ028-075 And We shall (on that day) bring out a witness from every people and then say (to the polytheist), `Bring a clear proof of your claim.´ Then they will know that the true right (to Godhood) only belongs to Allâh and all (their false deities) that they used to forge will be lost to them. وَنَزَعْنَا مِنْ كُلِّ أُمَّة ٍ شَهِيدا ً فَقُلْنَا هَاتُوا بُرْهَانَكُمْ فَعَلِمُوا أَنَّ الْحَقَّ لِلَّهِ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ
'Inna Qārūna Kāna Min Qawmi Mūsá Fabaghá `Alayhim  ۖ  Wa 'Ātaynāhu Mina Al-Kunūzi Mā 'Inna Mafātiĥahu Latanū'u Bil-`Uşbati 'Ū Al-Qūwati 'Idh Qāla Lahu Qawmuhu Lā Tafraĥ  ۖ  'Inna Al-Laha Lā Yuĥibbu Al-Farīna َ028-076 Verily, Korah belonged to the tribe of Moses (- the Israelites) but he rose against them (- his own people). We had given him so much riches that his hoarded wealth would have weighed down a party of strong men. (Recall the time) when his people said to him, `Do not exult too much for Allâh surely does not love those who exult beyond measure. إِنَّ قَارُونَ كَانَ مِنْ قَوْمِ مُوسَى فَبَغَى عَلَيْهِمْ  ۖ  وَآتَيْنَاه ُُ مِنَ الْكُنُوزِ مَا إِنَّ مَفَاتِحَه ُُ لَتَنُوءُ بِالْعُصْبَةِ أُولِي الْقُوَّةِ إِذْ قَالَ لَه ُُ قَوْمُهُ لاَ تَفْرَحْ  ۖ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْفَرِحِينَ
Wa Abtaghi Fīmā 'Ātāka Al-Lahu Ad-Dāra Al-'Ākhirata  ۖ  Wa Lā Tansa Naşībaka Mina Ad-Dunyā  ۖ  Wa 'Aĥsin Kamā 'Aĥsana Al-Lahu 'Ilayka  ۖ  Wa Lā Tabghi Al-Fasāda Fī Al-'Arđi  ۖ  'Inna Al-Laha Lā Yuĥibbu Al-Mufsidīna َ028-077 `And seek the home of the Hereafter by means of that which Allâh has given you. And do not neglect (to acquire) your portion (of righteous deeds) in the present life. And do good to others as Allâh has done good to you. And do not seek to promote evil in the land, for Allâh does not love the evil doers who create mischief.´ وَابْتَغِ فِيمَا آتَاكَ اللَّهُ الدَّارَ الآخِرَةَ  ۖ  وَلاَ تَنسَ نَصِيبَكَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا  ۖ  وَأَحْسِنْ كَمَا أَحْسَنَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْكَ  ۖ  وَلاَ تَبْغِ الْفَسَادَ فِي الأَرْضِ  ۖ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْمُفْسِدِينَ
Qāla 'Innamā 'Ūtītuhu `Alá `Ilmin `Indī  ۚ  'Awalam Ya`lam 'Anna Al-Laha Qad 'Ahlaka Min Qablihi Mina Al-Qurūni Man Huwa 'Ashaddu Minhu Qūwatan Wa 'Aktharu Jam`āan  ۚ  Wa Lā Yus'alu `An Dhunūbihimu Al-Mujrimūna َ028-078 (Korah) said, `(All) this (wealth) that I have been given is because of the knowledge I possess.´ But did he not know that Allâh had destroyed before him generations of people who were mightier than he and greater in riches and number? And the guilty shall not be questioned about their sins (their sins being self evident). قَالَ إِنَّمَا أُوتِيتُه ُُ عَلَى عِلْمٍ عِندِي  ۚ  أَوَلَمْ يَعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَهْلَكَ مِنْ قَبْلِه ِِ مِنَ القُرُونِ مَنْ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُ قُوَّة ً وَأَكْثَرُ جَمْعا ً  ۚ  وَلاَ يُسْأَلُ عَنْ ذُنُوبِهِمُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ
Fakharaja `Alá Qawmihi Fī Zīnatihi  ۖ  Qāla Al-Ladhīna Yurīdūna Al-Ĥayāata Ad-Dunyā Yālayta Lanā Mithla Mā 'Ūtiya Qārūnu 'Innahu Ladhū Ĥažžin `Ažīmin َ028-079 Then (it came to pass one day that) he (- Korah) appeared before his people in all his pomp and show. (Thereupon) those who were desirous of (the provisions and enjoyment of) the life of this world said, `If only we could have the like of all that Korah has been given. He is, truly speaking, the master of a great fortune.´ فَخَرَجَ عَلَى قَوْمِه ِِ فِي زِينَتِه ِِ  ۖ  قَالَ الَّذِينَ يُرِيدُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنيَا يَالَيْتَ لَنَا مِثْلَ مَا أُوتِيَ قَارُونُ إِنَّه ُُ لَذُو حَظٍّ عَظِيم ٍ
Wa Qāla Al-Ladhīna 'Ū Al-`Ilma Waylakum Thawābu Al-Lahi Khayrun Liman 'Āmana Wa `Amila Şāliĥāan Wa Lā Yulaqqāhā 'Illā Aş-Şābirūna َ028-080 But the men of knowledge said, `Woe to you! The reward which Allâh has for those who believe and do good deeds is much better (than all this), but it shall be granted only to those who are patiently persevering.´ وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ وَيْلَكُمْ ثَوَابُ اللَّهِ خَيْر ٌ لِمَنْ آمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحا ً وَلاَ يُلَقَّاهَا إِلاَّ الصَّابِرُونَ
Fakhasafnā Bihi Wa Bidārihi Al-'Arđa Famā Kāna Lahu Min Fi'atin Yanşurūnahu Min Dūni Al-Lahi Wa Mā Kāna Mina Al-Muntaşirīna َ028-081 Then (it came about that) We made him and his household extinct into the bowels of the earth so that he had no party who could help him against Allâh, nor was he of those who could defend themselves and could ask for help. فَخَسَفْنَا بِه ِِ وَبِدَارِهِ الأَرْضَ فَمَا كَانَ لَه ُُ مِنْ فِئَة ٍ يَنصُرُونَه ُُ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ المُنْتَصِرِينَ
Wa 'Aşbaĥa Al-Ladhīna Tamannaw Makānahu Bil-'Amsi Yaqūlūna Wayka'anna Al-Laha Yabsuţu Ar-Rizqa Liman Yashā'u Min `Ibādihi Wa Yaqdiru  ۖ  Lawlā 'An Manna Al-Lahu `Alaynā Lakhasafa Binā  ۖ  Wayka'annahu Lā Yufliĥu Al-Kāfirūna َ028-082 Now the very people who had coveted his (lot and) position the day before began to say, `Ruin seize you! it is indeed Allâh Who multiplies the means of livelihood for such of His servants as He will and makes them scant (for such of His people as He will). Had not Allâh been gracious to us He would have sunk us (also into the bowels of the earth). Ruin seize you! (the fact is that) those who are ungrateful never prosper.´ وَأَصْبَحَ الَّذِينَ تَمَنَّوْا مَكَانَه ُُ بِالأَمْسِ يَقُولُونَ وَيْكَأَنَّ اللَّهَ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِه ِِ وَيَقْدِرُ  ۖ  لَوْلاَ أَنْ مَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا لَخَسَفَ بِنَا  ۖ  وَيْكَأَنَّهُ لاَ يُفْلِحُ الْكَافِرُونَ
Tilka Ad-Dāru Al-'Ākhiratu Naj`aluhā Lilladhīna Lā Yurīdūna `Ulūwāan Al-'Arđi Wa Lā Fasādāan Wa  ۚ  Al-`Āqibatu Lilmuttaqīna َ028-083 This is the Abode of the Hereafter, We assign it to those only who do not seek self-exaltation in the earth, nor corruption. Indeed, those who guard against evil shall meet a happy end. تِلْكَ الدَّارُ الآخِرَةُ نَجْعَلُهَا لِلَّذِينَ لاَ يُرِيدُونَ عُلُوّا ً فِي الأَرْضِ وَلاَ فَسَادا ً  ۚ  وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
Man Jā'a Bil-Ĥasanati Falahu Khayrun Minhā  ۖ  Wa Man Jā'a Bis-Sayyi'ati Falā Yuj Al-Ladhīna `Amilū As-Sayyi'āti 'Illā Mā Kānū Ya`malūna َ028-084 He who brings good deeds (into the presence of his Lord on the Day of judgment) shall have a reward (at His hand) better than he merits. But he who brings evil (let him bear in mind that) those who do evil shall only reap the fruit according to what they did. مَنْ جَاءَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ فَلَه ُُ خَيْر ٌ مِنْهَا  ۖ  وَمَنْ جَاءَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ فَلاَ يُجْزَى الَّذِينَ عَمِلُوا السَّيِّئَاتِ إِلاَّ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
'Inna Al-Ladhī Farađa `Alayka Al-Qur'āna Larādduka 'Ilá Ma`ādin  ۚ  Qul Rabbī 'A`lamu Man Jā'a Bil-Hudá Wa Man Huwa Fī Đalālin Mubīnin َ028-085 (Prophet!) He who has made (the teaching of) the Qur´ân binding on you shall most surely bring you back to your ordained place of return, (the place of Pilgrimage - Makkah). Say, `My Lord knows him best who has brought guidance as well as those who are steeped in clear error.´ إِنَّ الَّذِي فَرَضَ عَلَيْكَ الْقُرْآنَ لَرَادُّكَ إِلَى مَعَاد ٍ  ۚ  قُلْ رَبِّي أَعْلَمُ مَنْ جَاءَ بِالْهُدَى وَمَنْ هُوَ فِي ضَلاَل ٍ مُبِين ٍ
Wa Mā Kunta Tarjū 'An Yulqá 'Ilayka Al-Kitābu 'Illā Raĥmatan Min Rabbika  ۖ  Falā Takūnanna Žahīrāan Lilkāfirīna َ028-086 (Prophet!) you had never expected that the Book would be revealed to you. It is only the mercy of your Lord (that it has been revealed to you). So do not be a supporter of the disbelievers. وَمَا كُنتَ تَرْجُوا أَنْ يُلْقَى إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابُ إِلاَّ رَحْمَة ً مِنْ رَبِّكَ  ۖ  فَلاَ تَكُونَنَّ ظَهِيرا ً لِلْكَافِرِينَ
Wa Lā Yaşuddunnaka `An 'Āyāti Al-Lahi Ba`da 'Idh 'Unzilat 'Ilayka  ۖ  Wa Ad`u 'Ilá Rabbika  ۖ  Wa Lā Takūnanna Mina Al-Mushrikīna َ028-087 And do not let them (the disbelievers) turn you away from the commandments of Allâh when once they have been revealed to you. And call (mankind) to your Lord and be not of those who associate partners (with Him). وَلاَ يَصُدُّنَّكَ عَنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ بَعْدَ إِذْ أُنزِلَتْ إِلَيْكَ  ۖ  وَادْعُ إِلَى رَبِّكَ  ۖ  وَلاَ تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
Wa Lā Tad`u Ma`a Al-Lahi 'Ilahāan 'Ākhara  ۘ  Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa  ۚ  Kullu Shay'in Hālikun 'Illā Wajhahu Lahu  ۚ  Al-Ĥukmu Wa 'Ilayhi Turja`ūna َ028-088 Call on no other god beside Allâh. There is no other, cannot be and will never be One worthy of worship but He. Every thing is liable to perish but those (righteous deeds) by means of which you seek His attention. The sovereignty as well as judgment belongs to Him and to Him you shall all be brought back. وَلاَ تَدْعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَها ً آخَرَ  ۘ  لاَ إِلَهَ~َ إِلاَّ هُوَ  ۚ  كُلُّ شَيْءٍ هَالِك ٌ إِلاَّ وَجْهَه ُُ  ۚ  لَهُ الْحُكْمُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
