24) سُورَة النُّور

Sūratun 'Anzalnāhā Wa Farađnāhā Wa 'Anzalnā Fīhā 'Āyātin Bayyinātin La`allakum Tadhakkarūna َ024-001 (This is) a (highly dignified) Sûrah which We have revealed and (the ordinances of) which We have made obligatory and We have revealed in it clear commandments so that you may rise to great eminence. سُورَةٌ أَنزَلْنَاهَا وَفَرَضْنَاهَا وَأَنزَلْنَا فِيهَا آيَات ٍ بَيِّنَات ٍ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ
Az-Zāniyatu Wa Az-Zānī Fājlidū Kulla Wāĥidin Minhumā Miā'ata Jaldatin  ۖ  Wa Lā Ta'khudhkum Bihimā Ra'fatun Fī Dīni Al-Lahi 'In Kuntum Tu'uminūna Bil-Lahi Wa Al-Yawmi Al-'Ākhiri  ۖ  Wa Līash/had `Adhābahumā Ţā'ifatun Mina Al-Mu'uminīna َ024-002 Strike the fornicatress and adulteress and the fornicator and adulterer on the body of each one of them a hundred times. (This is the extreme limit,) and let no feelings of pity for the two hold you from obedience to Allâh (in executing His judgment), if you believe in Allâh and the Last Day. And let a section of the believers be present (there at the time of the execution of) their punishment. الزَّانِيَةُ وَالزَّانِي فَاجْلِدُوا كُلَّ وَاحِد ٍ مِنْهُمَا مِائَةَ جَلْدَة ٍ  ۖ  وَلاَ تَأْخُذْكُمْ بِهِمَا رَأْفَة ٌ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ إِنْ كُنتُمْ تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ  ۖ  وَلْيَشْهَدْ عَذَابَهُمَا طَائِفَة ٌ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Az-Zānī Lā Yankiĥu 'Illā Zāniyatan 'Aw Mushrikatan Wa Az-Zāniyatu Lā Yankiĥuhā 'Illā Zānin 'Aw Mushrikun  ۚ  Wa Ĥurrima Dhālika `Alá Al-Mu'uminīna َ024-003 The fornicator and adulterer cannot have sexual relations (without lawful marriage) except with a fornicatress and adulteress or polytheistic woman (of low morality), and the fornicatress and adulteress, none can have sexual relations with her except a fornicator and adulterer or a polytheistic man (of low morality). And this (adultery and fornication) is forbidden to the believers. الزَّانِي لاَ يَنكِحُ إلاَّ زَانِيَةً أَوْ مُشْرِكَة ً وَالزَّانِيَةُ لاَ يَنكِحُهَا إِلاَّ زَانٍ أَوْ مُشْرِك ٌ  ۚ  وَحُرِّمَ ذَلِكَ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa Al-Ladhīna Yarmūna Al-Muĥşanāti Thumma Lam Ya'tū Bi'arba`ati Shuhadā'a Fājlidūhum Thamānīna Jaldatan Wa Lā Taqbalū Lahum Shahādatan  ۚ  'Abadāan Wa 'Ūlā'ika Humu Al-Fāsiqūna َ024-004 Strike eighty times on the bodies of those who calumniate chaste women and who do not support (their accusation) with four witnesses, and never accept their testimony (because) it is they who are the disobedient (and break the law); وَالَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ الْمُحْصَنَاتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَأْتُوا بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَاءَ فَاجْلِدُوهُمْ ثَمَانِينَ جَلْدَة ً وَلاَ تَقْبَلُوا لَهُمْ شَهَادَةً أَبَدا ً  ۚ  وَأُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ
'Illā Al-Ladhīna Tābū Min Ba`di Dhālika Wa 'Aşlaĥū Fa'inna Al-Laha Ghafūrun Raĥīmun َ024-005 Except those who repent after this and make amends, they will find Allâh Great Protector, Ever Merciful. إِلاَّ الَّذِينَ تَابُوا مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ وَأَصْلَحُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُور ٌ رَحِيم ٌ
Wa Al-Ladhīna Yarmūna 'Azwājahum Wa Lam Yakun Lahum Shuhadā'u 'Illā 'Anfusuhum Fashahādatu 'Aĥadihim 'Arba`u Shahādātin  ۙ  Bil-Lahi 'Innahu Lamina Aş-Şādiqīna َ024-006 And those who charge their wives of adultery and have no witnesses (to support their charge) except their own selves, let each (husband) bear testimony (repeating it) four times over calling Allâh to witness that he is surely of those who speak the truth in (the matter of) charging his wife (of adultery). وَالَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ أَزْوَاجَهُمْ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُمْ شُهَدَاءُ إِلاَّ أَنفُسُهُمْ فَشَهَادَةُ أَحَدِهِمْ أَرْبَعُ شَهَادَات ٍ بِاللَّهِ  ۙ  إِنَّه ُُ لَمِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ
Wa Al-Khāmisatu 'Anna La`nata Al-Lahi `Alayhi 'In Kāna Mina Al-Kādhibīna َ024-007 And the fifth (time he should say on oath) that Allâh´s wrath be upon him if he be of the liars. وَالْخَامِسَةُ أَنَّ لَعْنَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ إِنْ كَانَ مِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ
Wa Yadra'u `Anhā Al-`Adhāba 'An Tash/hada 'Arba`a Shahādātin Bil-Lahi  ۙ  'Innahu Lamina Al-Kādhibīna َ024-008 But it shall avert the punishment from her (- the wife) if she calling Allâh to witness testifies four times over that he is of the liars (in bringing this charge against her). وَيَدْرَأُ عَنْهَا الْعَذَابَ أَنْ تَشْهَدَ أَرْبَعَ شَهَادَات ٍ بِاللَّهِ  ۙ  إِنَّه ُُ لَمِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ
Wa Al-Khāmisata 'Anna Ghađaba Al-Lahi `Alayhā 'In Kāna Mina Aş-Şādiqīna َ024-009 And the fifth (time she should say on oath) that the wrath of Allâh be upon her if he (- her husband) has spoken the truth (about her). وَالْخَامِسَةَ أَنَّ غَضَبَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا إِنْ كَانَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ
Wa Lawlā Fađlu Al-Lahi `Alaykum Wa Raĥmatuhu Wa 'Anna Al-Laha Tawwābun Ĥakīmun َ024-010 But for Allâh´s grace and His mercy (which rests) upon you and (but for the fact) that Allâh is Oft-Returning (with compassion), All-Wise (you would have come to grief). وَلَوْلاَ فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُه ُُ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ تَوَّابٌ حَكِيم ٌ
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Jā'ū Bil-'Ifki `Uşbatun Minkum  ۚ  Lā Taĥsabūhu Sharrāan Lakum  ۖ  Bal Huwa Khayrun Lakum  ۚ  Likulli Amri'in MinhumAktasaba Mina Al-'Ithmi Wa  ۚ  Al-Ladhī Tawallá Kibrahu Minhum Lahu `Adhābun `Ažīmun َ024-011 Verily, those (- hypocrites) who brought the false accusation (against âishah, the wife of the Prophet), are a section of your own people. Do not think this (- incident) to be bad for you, rather it is good for you. (As for the accusers,) everyone of them shall receive (his due punishment according to) that which he has accomplished in the form) of sin. As for him (- Abdullâh bin Ubayy bin Salûl) who among them took the principal part thereof (in fabricating and spreading malicious scandal against her) there awaits him a grievous punishment. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ جَاءُوا بِالإِفْكِ عُصْبَة ٌ مِنْكُمْ  ۚ  لاَ تَحْسَبُوه ُُ شَرّا ً لَكُمْ  ۖ  بَلْ هُوَ خَيْر ٌ لَكُمْ  ۚ  لِكُلِّ امْرِئ ٍ مِنْهُمْ مَا اكْتَسَبَ مِنَ الإِثْمِ  ۚ  وَالَّذِي تَوَلَّى كِبْرَه ُُ مِنْهُمْ لَه ُُ عَذَابٌ عَظِيم ٌ
Lawlā 'Idh Sami`tumūhu Žanna Al-Mu'uminūna Wa Al-Mu'uminātu Bi'anfusihim Khayrāan Wa Qālū Hādhā 'Ifkun Mubīnun َ024-012 When you heard of this (accusation) why did not the believing men and believing women have a better opinion in respect of their own people and say, `This (charge) is an obvious lie?´ لَوْلاَ إِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوه ُُ ظَنَّ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتُ بِأَنفُسِهِمْ خَيْرا ً وَقَالُوا هَذَا إِفْك ٌ مُبِين ٌ
Lawlā Jā'ū `Alayhi Bi'arba`ati Shuhadā'a  ۚ  Fa'idh Lam Ya'tū Bish-Shuhadā'i Fa'ūlā'ika `Inda Al-Lahi Humu Al-Kādhibūna َ024-013 Why did they (- the fabricators of this charge) not bring four witnesses in support of this (accusation of theirs)? Since they failed to produce the (required) witnesses, it is they who are the very liars in the sight of Allâh. لَوْلاَ جَاءُوا عَلَيْهِ بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَاءَ  ۚ  فَإِذْ لَمْ يَأْتُوا بِالشُّهَدَاءِ فَأُوْلَائِكَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ هُمُ الْكَاذِبُونَ
Wa Lawlā Fađlu Al-Lahi `Alaykum Wa Raĥmatuhu Fī Ad-Dunyā Wa Al-'Ākhirati Lamassakum Fī Mā 'Afađtum Fīhi `Adhābun `Ažīmun َ024-014 But for the fact that Allâh has shown His grace and mercy to you in the present world, and in the next a great punishment would have certainly befallen you on account of that (slander) which you spread. وَلَوْلاَ فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُه ُُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ لَمَسَّكُمْ فِي مَا أَفَضْتُمْ فِيه ِِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيم ٌ
'Idh Talaqqawnahu Bi'alsinatikum Wa Taqūlūna Bi'afwāhikum Mā Laysa Lakum Bihi `Ilmun Wa Taĥsabūnahu Hayyināan Wa Huwa `Inda Al-Lahi `Ažīmun َ024-015 When (some of) you began to learn this (slander) from each others tongues, you gave tongue to that (rumour and made statements) of which you had no knowledge; and you considered it a trivial thing while it was grave in the sight of Allâh. إِذْ تَلَقَّوْنَه ُُ بِأَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَتَقُولُونَ بِأَفْوَاهِكُمْ مَا لَيْسَ لَكُمْ بِه ِِ عِلْم ٌ وَتَحْسَبُونَه ُُ هَيِّنا ً وَهُوَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ عَظِيم ٌ
Wa Lawlā 'Idh Sami`tumūhu Qultum Mā Yakūnu Lanā 'An Natakallama Bihadhā Subĥānaka Hādhā Buhtānun `Ažīmun َ024-016 And why did you not say as soon as you heard of it, `It does not behove us to talk like this. Holy are You (O Gracious God). This is a monstrous calumny,´ وَلَوْلاَ إِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوه ُُ قُلْتُمْ مَا يَكُونُ لَنَا أَنْ نَتَكَلَّمَ بِهَذَا سُبْحَانَكَ هَذَا بُهْتَانٌ عَظِيم ٌ
Ya`ižukumu Al-Lahu 'An Ta`ūdū Limithlihi 'Abadāan 'In Kuntum Mu'uminīna َ024-017 If you are (true) believers (you should bear in mind that) Allâh admonishes you never to repeat such a thing again. يَعِظُكُمُ اللَّهُ أَنْ تَعُودُوا لِمِثْلِهِ~ِ أَبَدا ً إِنْ كُنتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa Yubayyinu Al-Lahu Lakumu Al-'Āyāti Wa  ۚ  Allāhu `Alīmun Ĥakīmun َ024-018 And Allâh explains to you (His) commandments and Allâh is All-Knowing, All-Wise. وَيُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمُ الآيَاتِ  ۚ  وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيم ٌ
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Yuĥibbūna 'An Tashī`a Al-Fāĥishatu Fī Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Lahum `Adhābun 'Alīmun Ad-Dunyā Wa Al-'Ākhirati Wa  ۚ  Allāhu Ya`lamu Wa 'Antum Lā Ta`lamūna َ024-019 Those who love to spread immorality among the disbelievers, will have a woeful punishment in this world and the next. And Allâh knows while you do not know (the consequences of this evil). إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُحِبُّونَ أَنْ تَشِيعَ الْفَاحِشَةُ فِي الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيم ٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ  ۚ  وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنْتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ
Wa Lawlā Fađlu Al-Lahi `Alaykum Wa Raĥmatuhu Wa 'Anna Al-Laha Ra'ūfun Raĥīm َ024-020 But for the grace of Allâh and His mercy (that rests) upon you and (but for the fact) that Allâh is most Compassionate, Ever Merciful (none of you would have ever been so chaste and pure). وَلَوْلاَ فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُه ُُ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ رَءُوف ٌ رَحِيم
Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Lā Tattabi`ū Khuţuwāti Ash-Shayţāni  ۚ  Wa Man Yattabi` Khuţuwāti Ash-Shayţāni Fa'innahu Ya'muru Bil-Faĥshā'i Wa Al-Munkari  ۚ  Wa Lawlā Fađlu Al-Lahi `Alaykum Wa Raĥmatuhu Mā Zakā Minkum Min 'Aĥadin 'Abadāan Wa Lakinna Al-Laha Yuzakkī Man Yashā'u Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Samī`un `Alīmun َ024-021 O you who believe! do not follow the footsteps of satan. He that follows the footsteps of satan (should remember that) he (- satan) surely enjoins immorality and indecency. But for the grace of Allâh and His mercy (that rests) upon you, not one of you would ever have been pure, but Allâh purifies him who wishes (to be purified). And Allâh is All-Hearing, All- Knowing. يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لاَ تَتَّبِعُوا خُطُوَاتِ الشَّيْطَانِ وَمَنْ  ۚ  يَتَّبِعْ خُطُوَاتِ الشَّيْطَانِ فَإِنَّه ُُ يَأْمُرُ بِالْفَحْشَاءِ وَالْمُنْكَرِ وَلَوْلاَ  ۚ  فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُه ُُ مَا زَكَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ أَبَدا ً وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ يُزَكِّي مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَاللَّهُ  ۗ  سَمِيعٌ عَلِيم ٌ
Wa Lā Ya'tali 'Ū Al-Fađli Minkum Wa As-Sa`ati 'An Yu'utū 'Ū Al-Qurbá Wa Al-Masākīna Wa Al-Muhājirīna Fī Sabīli Al-Lahi  ۖ  Wa Līa`fū Wa Līaşfaĥū  ۗ  'Alā Tuĥibbūna 'An Yaghfira Al-Lahu Lakum Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Ghafūrun Raĥīmun َ024-022 And let not those of you who are possessed of grace (with moral virtue) and of plenty (of riches like Abû Bakr) swear that they will give nothing to the kindred, the needy and those who have left their homes for the cause of Allâh, but let them forgive and forbear (the offence). Do you not desire that Allâh should protect you (against your faults)? And Allâh is Great Protector, Ever Merciful. وَلاَ يَأْتَلِ أُوْلُوا الْفَضْلِ مِنْكُمْ وَالسَّعَةِ أَنْ يُؤْتُوا أُوْلِي الْقُرْبَى وَالْمَسَاكِينَ وَالْمُهَاجِرِينَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ  ۖ  وَلْيَعْفُوا وَلْيَصْفَحُوا  ۗ  أَلاَ تُحِبُّونَ أَنْ يَغْفِرَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ غَفُور ٌ رَحِيم ٌ
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Yarmūna Al-Muĥşanāti Al-Ghāfilāti Al-Mu'umināti Lu`inū Fī Ad-Dunyā Wa Al-'Ākhirati Wa Lahum `Adhābun `Ažīmun َ024-023 Those who calumniate chaste, unwary, innocent believing women stand cursed in the present life and the Hereafter, and there awaits them a grievous punishment. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ الْمُحْصَنَاتِ الْغَافِلاَتِ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ لُعِنُوا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيم ٌ
Yawma Tash/hadu `Alayhim 'Alsinatuhum Wa 'Aydīhim Wa 'Arjuluhum Bimā Kānū Ya`malūna َ024-024 On the Day (of Requital) when their tongues and their hands and their feet shall bear witness against them for the (evil) deeds they used to do. يَوْمَ تَشْهَدُ عَلَيْهِمْ أَلْسِنَتُهُمْ وَأَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَرْجُلُهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
Yawma'idhin Yuwaffīhimu Al-Lahu Dīnahumu Al-Ĥaqqa Wa Ya`lamūna 'Anna Al-Laha Huwa Al-Ĥaqqu Al-Mubīnu َ024-025 On that Day Allâh will pay them in full their just dues and they shall know that Allâh alone is the Absolute Truth, (and as well makes the Truth) manifest. يَوْمَئِذ ٍ يُوَفِّيهِمُ اللَّهُ دِينَهُمُ الْحَقَّ وَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْحَقُّ الْمُبِينُ
Al-Khabīthātu Lilkhabīthīna Wa Al-Khabīthūna Lilkhabīthāti Wa  ۖ  Aţ-Ţayyibātu Lilţţayyibīna Wa Aţ-Ţayyibūna Lilţţayyibāti  ۚ  'Ūlā'ika Mubarra'ūna Mimmā Yaqūlūna  ۖ  Lahum Maghfiratun Wa Rizqun Karīmun َ024-026 The evil and impure deeds are (a characteristic) of impure people and the bad and impure people are (inclined) towards the bad and impure deeds. Similarly good and pure deeds are (a characteristic) of good and pure people and the good and pure people are (inclined) towards good and pure deeds. It is they (- the good and pure) who are innocent of all that they (- the accusers) may allege (about them). There awaits them protection and an honourable and generous provision. الْخَبِيثَاتُ لِلْخَبِيثِينَ وَالْخَبِيثُونَ لِلْخَبِيثَاتِ  ۖ  وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ لِلطَّيِّبِينَ وَالطَّيِّبُونَ لِلطَّيِّبَاتِ  ۚ  أُوْلَائِكَ مُبَرَّءُونَ مِمَّا يَقُولُونَ  ۖ  لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَة ٌ وَرِزْق ٌ كَرِيم ٌ
Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Lā Tadkhulū Buyūtāan Ghayra Buyūtikum Ĥattá Tasta'nisū Wa Tusallimū `Alá 'Ahlihā  ۚ  Dhālikum Khayrun Lakum La`allakum Tadhakkarūna َ024-027 O you who believe! do not enter houses other than your own unless you have obtained willing permission and (mind!) you should greet the inmates of these (houses). That is better for you. You have been given this commandment that you may be heedful. يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لاَ تَدْخُلُوا بُيُوتاً غَيْرَ بُيُوتِكُمْ حَتَّى تَسْتَأْنِسُوا وَتُسَلِّمُوا عَلَى أَهْلِهَا ذَلِكُمْ  ۚ  خَيْر ٌ لَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ
Fa'in Lam Tajidū Fīhā 'Aĥadāan Falā Tadkhulūhā Ĥattá Yu'udhana Lakum  ۖ  Wa 'In Qīla Lakum Arji`ū Fārji`ū  ۖ  Huwa 'Azká Lakum Wa  ۚ  Allāhu Bimā Ta`malūna `Alīmun َ024-028 But if you find nobody in them do not enter therein, unless you have got (from the owners or the rightful care-taker previous) permission. And go back if you are told to go back, that would be pure and best for you. Indeed, Allâh is Well-Aware of all that you do. فَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدُوا فِيهَا أَحَدا ً فَلاَ تَدْخُلُوهَا حَتَّى يُؤْذَنَ لَكُمْ  ۖ  وَإِنْ قِيلَ لَكُمْ ارْجِعُوا فَارْجِعُوا  ۖ  هُوَ أَزْكَى لَكُمْ  ۚ  وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ عَلِيم ٌ
Laysa `Alaykum Junāĥun 'An Tadkhulū Buyūtāan Ghayra Maskūnatin Fīhā Matā`un Lakum Wa  ۚ  Allāhu Ya`lamu Mā Tubdūna Wa Mā Taktumūna َ024-029 It is no sin on your part to enter (freely) non-residential houses wherein your goods are lying. And Allâh knows all that you profess and all that you conceal. لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ تَدْخُلُوا بُيُوتاً غَيْرَ مَسْكُونَة ٍ فِيهَا مَتَاع ٌ لَكُمْ  ۚ  وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُونَ وَمَا تَكْتُمُونَ
Qul Lilmu'uminīna Yaghuđđū Min 'Abşārihim Wa Yaĥfažū Furūjahum  ۚ  Dhālika 'Azká Lahum  ۗ  'Inna Al-Laha Khabīrun Bimā Yaşna`ūna َ024-030 Tell the believers to restrain their looks (in the presence of women not closely related to them and so lawful for marriage) and guard their chastity. That is purer and best for them. Surely, Allâh is Well-Aware of what they do. قُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّوا مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِمْ وَيَحْفَظُوا فُرُوجَهُمْ  ۚ  ذَلِكَ أَزْكَى لَهُمْ  ۗ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَبِير ٌ بِمَا يَصْنَعُونَ
Wa Qul Lilmu'umināti Yaghđuđna Min 'Abşārihinna Wa Yaĥfažna Furūjahunna Wa Lā Yubdīna Zīnatahunna 'Illā Mā Žahara Minhā  ۖ  Wa Līađribna Bikhumurihinna `Alá Juyūbihinna  ۖ  Wa Lā Yubdīna Zīnatahunna 'Illā Libu`ūlatihinna 'Aw 'Ābā'ihinna 'Aw 'Ābā'i Bu`ūlatihinna 'Aw 'Abnā'ihinna 'Aw 'Abnā'i Bu`ūlatihinna 'Aw 'Ikhwānihinna 'Aw Banī 'Ikhwānihinna 'Aw Banī 'Akhawātihinna 'Aw Nisā'ihinna 'Aw Mā Malakat 'Aymānuhunna 'Awi At-Tābi`īna Ghayri 'Ū Al-'Irbati Mina Ar-Rijāli 'Awi Aţ-Ţifli Al-Ladhīna Lam Yažharū `Alá `Awrāti An-Nisā'  ۖ  Wa Lā Yađribna Bi'arjulihinna Liyu`lama Mā Yukhfīna Min Zīnatihinna  ۚ  Wa Tūbū 'Ilá Al-Lahi Jamī`āan 'Ayyuhā Al-Mu'uminūna La`allakum Tufliĥūna َ024-031 And tell the believing women to restrain their looks (also in the presence of men who are not near of kin and so lawful for marriage) and guard their chastity and not to disclose their (natural and make-up) beauty except such as cannot be helped (and is apparent) and draw their head coverings over their bosoms, and they should not display their beauty save to their husbands or to their fathers or to their fathers- in-law or to their own sons or to the sons of their husbands or to their own brothers, or to the sons of their brothers or to the sons of their sisters or their women (who are their decent companions) or to their bondsmen or to such of their male attendants as have no sexual appetite or to such young children as have yet no knowledge of the frailties of women. And let them not strike (the ground with) their feet so that which they (must) hide of their beauty or adornment) may become known. And (O believers!) turn to Allâh; one and all, that you may attain (true happiness and) your ultimate goal. وَقُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنَاتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِنَّ وَيَحْفَظْنَ فُرُوجَهُنَّ وَلاَ يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلاَّ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا  ۖ  وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنَّ  ۖ  وَلاَ يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلاَّ لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ آبَائِهِنَّ أَوْ آبَاءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَائِهِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَاءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ إِخْوَانِهِنَّ أَوْ بَنِي إِخْوَانِهِنَّ أَوْ بَنِي أَخَوَاتِهِنَّ أَوْ نِسَائِهِنَّ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُنَّ أَوِ التَّابِعِينَ غَيْرِ أُوْلِي الإِرْبَةِ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ أَوِ الطِّفْلِ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يَظْهَرُوا عَلَى عَوْرَاتِ النِسَاء  ۖ  وَلاَ يَضْرِبْنَ بِأَرْجُلِهِنَّ لِيُعْلَمَ مَا يُخْفِينَ مِنْ زِينَتِهِنَّ  ۚ  وَتُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ جَمِيعاً أَيُّهَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
Wa 'Ankiĥū Al-'Ayāmá Minkum Wa Aş-Şāliĥīna Min `Ibādikum Wa 'Imā'ikum  ۚ  'In Yakūnū Fuqarā'a Yughnihimu Al-Lahu Min Fađlihi Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Wāsi`un `Alīmun َ024-032 Arrange marriages for those of you who are single and for your male and female slaves as are deserving and fit (to lead a married life). If they are poor Allâh will grant them means out of His bounty; Bountiful is Allâh, All-Knowing. وَأَنكِحُوا الأَيَامَى مِنْكُمْ وَالصَّالِحِينَ مِنْ عِبَادِكُمْ وَإِمَائِكُمْ  ۚ  إِنْ يَكُونُوا فُقَرَاءَ يُغْنِهِمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِه ِِ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيم ٌ
Wa Līasta`fifi Al-Ladhīna Lā Yajidūna Nikāĥāan Ĥattá Yughniyahumu Al-Lahu Min Fađlihi Wa  ۗ  Al-Ladhīna Yabtaghūna Al-Kitāba Mimmā Malakat 'Aymānukum Fakātibūhum 'In `Alimtum Fīhim Khayrāan  ۖ  Wa 'Ātūhum Min Māli Al-Lahi Al-Ladhī 'Ātākum  ۚ  Wa Lā Tukrihū Fatayātikum `Alá Al-Bighā'i 'In 'Aradna Taĥaşşunāan Litabtaghū `Arađa Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā  ۚ  Wa Man Yukrihhunna Fa'inna Al-Laha Min Ba`di 'Ikrāhihinna Ghafūrun Raĥīmun َ024-033 And those who find no (means of) marriage should (exercise restraint and) keep themselves chaste until Allâh grants them means (to marry) out of His grace and bounty. (There is another commandment,) as for those of your bondsmen (or women) as ask for a written contract (of freedom for themselves on payment of ransom), write this (deed of manumission for them) provided you find good capabilities in them and give them out of Allâh´s wealth which He has given you. (Another commandment for you is that,) with a mind to gain (by this unrighteous means) the benefits of the present life do not constrain your slave-girls to unchaste life (by keeping them unmarried) when they desire (to marry) to preserve their virtue. But if anybody forces them (to abstain from marrying and to become unchaste) they will find, after they are forced, that God is Most Forgiving, Ever Merciful. وَلْيَسْتَعْفِفِ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَجِدُونَ نِكَاحاً حَتَّى يُغْنِيَهُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِه ِِ  ۗ  وَالَّذِينَ يَبْتَغُونَ الْكِتَابَ مِمَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ فَكَاتِبُوهُمْ إِنْ عَلِمْتُمْ فِيهِمْ خَيْرا ً  ۖ  وَآتُوهُمْ مِنْ مَالِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي آتَاكُمْ  ۚ  وَلاَ تُكْرِهُوا فَتَيَاتِكُمْ عَلَى الْبِغَاءِ إِنْ أَرَدْنَ تَحَصُّنا ً لِتَبْتَغُوا عَرَضَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا  ۚ  وَمَنْ يُكْرِهُّنَّ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ مِنْ بَعْدِ إِكْرَاهِهِنَّ غَفُور ٌ رَحِيم ٌ
Wa Laqad 'Anzalnā 'Ilaykum 'Āyātin Mubayyinātin Wa Mathalāan Mina Al-Ladhīna Khalaw Min Qablikum Wa Maw`ižatan Lilmuttaqīna َ024-034 And We have sent down to you revelations which explain (to you the truth) and (have also revealed) some accounts of those who have passed away before you, and (we have sent in addition) an exhortation for those who guard against evil. وَلَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكُمْ آيَات ٍ مُبَيِّنَات ٍ وَمَثَلا ً مِنَ الَّذِينَ خَلَوْا مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ وَمَوْعِظَة ً لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
Al-Lahu Nūru As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi  ۚ  Mathalu Nūrihi Kamishkāatin Fīhā Mişbāĥun  ۖ  Al-Mişbāĥu Fī Zujājatin  ۖ  Az-Zujājatu Ka'annahā Kawkabun Durrīyun Yūqadu Min Shajaratin Mubārakatin ZaytūniatinSharqīyatin Wa Lā Gharbīyatin Yakādu Zaytuhā Yuđī'u Wa Law Lam Tamsas/hu Nārun  ۚ  Nūrun `Alá Nūrin  ۗ  Yahdī Al-Lahu Linūrihi Man Yashā'u  ۚ  Wa Yađribu Al-Lahu Al-'Amthāla Lilnnāsi Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Bikulli Shay'in `Alīmun َ024-035 Allâh is the Extensive Light of the heavens and the earth. His light can be compared to a (lustrous) pillar on which a lamp is put. The lamp is inside a crystal globe. The globe of glass is as if it were a glittering star. It (- the lamp) is lit by (the oil of) a blessed olive tree which belongs neither to the east nor to the west (rather welds the whole world in its fold). Its oil is likely to glow forth of itself even if no fire touch it. This (lamp) is a combination of many lights over and over. Allâh guides towards His light whoever desires (to be enlightened). And Allâh sets forth excellent parables for the people, and Allâh alone has full knowledge of every thing. اللَّهُ نُورُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ  ۚ  مَثَلُ نُورِه ِِ كَمِشْكَاة ٍ فِيهَا مِصْبَاح ٌ  ۖ  الْمِصْبَاحُ فِي زُجَاجَة ٍ  ۖ  الزُّجَاجَةُ كَأَنَّهَا كَوْكَب ٌ دُرِّيّ ٌ يُوقَدُ مِنْ شَجَرَة ٍ مُبَارَكَة ٍ زَيْتُونِة ٍ لاَ شَرْقِيَّة ٍ وَلاَ غَرْبِيَّة ٍ يَكَادُ زَيْتُهَا يُضِيءُ وَلَوْ لَمْ تَمْسَسْهُ نَار ٌ  ۚ  نُورٌ عَلَى نُور ٍ  ۗ  يَهْدِي اللَّهُ لِنُورِه ِِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ  ۚ  وَيَضْرِبُ اللَّهُ الأَمْثَالَ لِلنَّاسِ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيم ٌ
Fī Buyūtin 'Adhina Al-Lahu 'An Turfa`a Wa Yudhkara Fīhā Asmuhu Yusabbiĥu Lahu Fīhā Bil-Ghudūwi Wa Al-'Āşāli َ024-036 (This light is now lit) in houses ( of the Companions) which Allâh has ordained to be exalted and His name be commemorated in them. Therein (are such as) glorify Him in the mornings and the evenings, فِي بُيُوتٍ أَذِنَ اللَّهُ أَنْ تُرْفَعَ وَيُذْكَرَ فِيهَا اسْمُه ُُ يُسَبِّحُ لَه ُُ فِيهَا بِالْغُدُوِّ وَالآصَالِ
Rijālun Lā Tulhīhim Tijāratun Wa Lā Bay`un `An Dhikri Al-Lahi Wa 'Iqāmi Aş-Şalāati Wa 'Ītā'i Az-Zakāati  ۙ  Yakhāfūna Yawmāan Tataqallabu Fīhi Al-Qulūbu Wa Al-'Abşāru َ024-037 Men whom neither trade nor sale distracts from exalting (the name of) Allâh and from the observance of Prayer and from presenting Zakât (- purifying dues) regularly. They dread the day when the hearts and the eyes will be in a state of agitation and anguish; رِجَال ٌ لاَ تُلْهِيهِمْ تِجَارَة ٌ وَلاَ بَيْعٌ عَنْ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَإِقَامِ الصَّلاَةِ وَإِيتَاءِ الزَّكَاةِ  ۙ  يَخَافُونَ يَوْما ً تَتَقَلَّبُ فِيهِ الْقُلُوبُ وَالأَبْصَارُ
Liyajziyahumu Al-Lahu 'Aĥsana Mā `Amilū Wa Yazīdahum Min Fađlihi Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Yarzuqu Man Yashā'u Bighayri Ĥisābin َ024-038 With the result that Allâh will give them the reward according to their fairest deeds and will (even) give them much more by His grace and bounty. And Allâh does provide without measure to whom He will. لِيَجْزِيَهُمُ اللَّهُ أَحْسَنَ مَا عَمِلُوا وَيَزِيدَهُمْ مِنْ فَضْلِه ِِ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ يَرْزُقُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَاب ٍ
Wa Al-Ladhīna Kafarū 'A`māluhum Kasarābin Biqī`atin Yaĥsabuhu Až-Žam'ānu Mā'an Ĥattá 'Idhā Jā'ahu Lam Yajid/hu Shay'āan Wa Wajada Al-Laha `Indahu Fawaffāhu  ۗ  Ĥisābahu Wa Allāhu Sarī`u Al-Ĥisābi َ024-039 And (as to) those who disbelieve, their deeds are like a mirage in a desert, the thirsty man assumes it to be water until he comes up to it and finds it is nothing at all. And (instead of water by his side) he finds (that) Allâh (has always been present) with him, and He then pays him his account in full, and Allâh is Swift at reckoning. وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَعْمَالُهُمْ كَسَرَاب ٍ بِقِيعَة ٍ يَحْسَبُهُ الظَّمْآنُ مَاءً حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَه ُُ لَمْ يَجِدْهُ شَيْئا ً وَوَجَدَ اللَّهَ عِنْدَه ُُ فَوَفَّاه ُُ حِسَابَه ُُ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ
'Aw Kažulumātin Fī Baĥrin Lujjīyin Yaghshāhu Mawjun Min Fawqihi Mawjun Min Fawqihi Saĥābun  ۚ  Žulumātun Ba`đuhā Fawqa Ba`đin 'Idhā 'Akhraja Yadahu Lam Yakad Yarāhā  ۗ  Wa Man Lam Yaj`ali Al-Lahu Lahu Nūrāan Famā Lahu Min Nūrin َ024-040 Or (the deeds of the disbelievers are) like thick utter darkness of the fathomless deep sea, waves on top of which there are higher waves covering its surface which is overcast by clouds. These are (layers of) darkness (piled) one upon the other (as opposed to light upon light for the believers) so that a person, however much he may try, can hardly see his hand when he holds it out. Indeed, there is no light at all for the person whom Allâh gives no light. أَوْ كَظُلُمَات ٍ فِي بَحْر ٍ لُجِّيّ ٍ يَغْشَاه ُُ مَوْج ٌ مِنْ فَوْقِه ِِ مَوْج ٌ مِنْ فَوْقِه ِِ سَحَاب ٌ  ۚ  ظُلُمَات ٌ بَعْضُهَا فَوْقَ بَعْض ٍ إِذَا أَخْرَجَ يَدَه ُُ لَمْ يَكَدْ يَرَاهَا  ۗ  وَمَنْ لَمْ يَجْعَلِ اللَّهُ لَه ُُ نُورا ً فَمَا لَه ُُ مِنْ نُور ٍ
'Alam Tará 'Anna Al-Laha Yusabbiĥu Lahu Man As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Aţ-Ţayru Şāffātin  ۖ  Kullun Qad `Alima Şalātahu Wa Tasbīĥahu Wa  ۗ  Allāhu `Alīmun Bimā Yaf`alūna َ024-041 Have you not pondered that it is Allâh Whose praises celebrate those who are in the heavens and on the earth, and (so do) the birds on the wings. Each one of them knows his own (way of) prayer and glorification (according to his or its own faculties). And Allâh knows well what they do. أَلَمْ تَرَى أَنَّ اللَّهَ يُسَبِّحُ لَه ُُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَالطَّيْرُ صَافَّات ٍ  ۖ  كُلّ ٌ قَدْ عَلِمَ صَلاَتَه ُُ وَتَسْبِيحَه ُُ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ عَلِيم ٌ بِمَا يَفْعَلُونَ
Wa Lillahi Mulku As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi  ۖ  Wa 'Ilá Al-Lahi Al-Maşīru َ024-042 And to Allâh belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and to Allâh shall all (human beings) eventually return. وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ  ۖ  وَإِلَى اللَّهِ الْمَصِيرُ
'Alam Tará 'Anna Al-Laha Yuzjī Saĥābāan Thumma Yu'uallifu Baynahu Thumma Yaj`aluhu Rukāmāan Fatará Al-Wadqa Yakhruju Min Khilālihi Wa Yunazzilu Mina As-Samā'i Min Jibālin Fīhā Min Baradin Fayuşību Bihi Man Yashā'u Wa Yaşrifuhu `An Man Yashā'u  ۖ  Yakādu Sanā Barqihi Yadh/habu Bil-'Abşāri َ024-043 Have you not seen that Allâh drives the clouds steadily then He draws them together and then He makes them piled up so that you can see the rain pouring forth from their midst? And He sends down clouds (looking) like mountain, wherein is hail and He smites with them whom He pleases and averts them from whom He pleases. The (brilliant) flash of its lightening almost snatches away the sight (rendering the eyes sometimes blind). أَلَمْ تَرَى أَنَّ اللَّهَ يُزْجِي سَحَابا ً ثُمَّ يُؤَلِّفُ بَيْنَه ُُ ثُمَّ يَجْعَلُه ُُ رُكَاما ً فَتَرَى الْوَدْقَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ خِلاَلِه ِِ وَيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مِنْ جِبَال ٍ فِيهَا مِنْ بَرَد ٍ فَيُصِيبُ بِه ِِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَصْرِفُه ُُ عَنْ مَنْ يَشَاءُ  ۖ  يَكَادُ سَنَا بَرْقِه ِِ يَذْهَبُ بِالأَبْصَارِ
Yuqallibu Al-Lahu Al-Layla Wa An-Nahāra  ۚ  'Inna Fī Dhālika La`ibratan Li'wlī Al-'Abşāri َ024-044 Allâh sets the cycle of the night and the day. Surely, in this (law of retardation and acceleration working in this phenomenon of nature) is indeed a lesson (about the spiritual evolution of a human being) for those possessed of understanding. يُقَلِّبُ اللَّهُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ  ۚ  إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَعِبْرَة ً لِأوْلِي الأَبْصَارِ
Wa Allāhu Khalaqa Kulla Dābbatin Min  ۖ  Mā'in Faminhum Man Yamshī `Alá Baţnihi Wa Minhum Man Yamshī `Alá Rijlayni Wa Minhum Man Yamshī `Alá  ۚ  'Arba`in Yakhluqu Al-Lahu Mā  ۚ  Yashā'u 'Inna Al-Laha `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun َ024-045 And Allâh has created every animal from water. Some of them move upon their bellies and some move upon two feet and some among them move upon four. Allâh creates what He please. Verily, Allâh is Possessor of every power to do what He will. وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَ كُلَّ دَابَّة ٍ مِنْ مَاء ٍ  ۖ  فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَمْشِي عَلَى بَطْنِه ِِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَمْشِي عَلَى رِجْلَيْنِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَمْشِي عَلَى أَرْبَع ٍ  ۚ  يَخْلُقُ اللَّهُ مَا يَشَاءُ  ۚ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ قَدِير ٌ
Laqad 'Anzalnā 'Āyātin Mubayyinātin Wa  ۚ  Allāhu Yahdī Man Yashā'u 'Ilá Şirāţin Mustaqīmin َ024-046 We have certainly sent down revelations which explain the truth. And Allâh guides him who desires (to be guided) to the exact straight path. لَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَا آيَات ٍ مُبَيِّنَات ٍ  ۚ  وَاللَّهُ يَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ إِلَى صِرَاط ٍ مُسْتَقِيم ٍ
Wa Yaqūlūna 'Āmannā Bil-Lahi Wa Bir-Rasūli Wa 'Aţa`nā Thumma Yatawallá Farīqun Minhum Min Ba`di Dhālika  ۚ  Wa Mā 'Ūlā'ika Bil-Mu'uminīna َ024-047 And (some of the) people say, `We believe in Allâh and the Messenger and obey (them). But even after (professing) this a section of them (- the hypocrites) turn away. Such are no believers at all. وَيَقُولُونَ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَبِالرَّسُولِ وَأَطَعْنَا ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّى فَرِيق ٌ مِنْهُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ  ۚ  وَمَا أُوْلَائِكَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa 'Idhā Du`ū 'Ilá Al-Lahi Wa Rasūlihi Liyaĥkuma Baynahum 'Idhā Farīqun Minhum Mu`rūna َ024-048 When they are summoned before Allâh and His Messenger, that he may judge between them, lo! a party of them turn away. وَإِذَا دُعُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِه ِِ لِيَحْكُمَ بَيْنَهُمْ إِذَا فَرِيق ٌ مِنْهُمْ مُعْرِضُونَ
Wa 'In Yakun Lahumu Al-Ĥaqqu Ya'tū 'Ilayhi Mudh`inīna َ024-049 But if (they consider that) the right is on their side they come to him running showing submission. وَإِنْ يَكُنْ لَهُمُ الْحَقُّ يَأْتُوا إِلَيْهِ مُذْعِنِينَ
'Afī Qulūbihim Marađun 'Am Artābū 'Am Yakhāfūna 'An Yaĥīfa Al-Lahu `Alayhim Wa Rasūluhu  ۚ  Bal 'Ūlā'ika Humu Až-Žālimūn َ024-050 Is it that their minds are diseased? Or do they suffer from doubts? Or do they fear that Allâh and His Messenger will deal with them unjustly? Nay, (wrong are their misgivings,) it is they themselves who are the unjust. أَفِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ أَمْ ارْتَابُوا أَمْ يَخَافُونَ أَنْ يَحِيفَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَرَسُولُه ُُ  ۚ  بَلْ أُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُون
'Innamā Kāna Qawla Al-Mu'uminīna 'Idhā Du`ū 'Ilá Al-Lahi Wa Rasūlihi Liyaĥkuma Baynahum 'An Yaqūlū Sami`nā Wa 'Aţa`nā  ۚ  Wa 'Ūlā'ika Humu Al-Mufliĥūna َ024-051 The only response of the believers, when they are summoned before Allâh and His Messenger so that he may judge between them, is that they say, `We hear and we obey.´ It is they who will attain their goal. إِنَّمَا كَانَ قَوْلَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِذَا دُعُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِه ِِ لِيَحْكُمَ بَيْنَهُمْ أَنْ يَقُولُوا سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا  ۚ  وَأُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ
Wa Man Yuţi`i Al-Laha Wa Rasūlahu Wa Yakhsha Al-Laha Wa Yattaqhi Fa'ūlā'ika Humu Al-Fā'izūna َ024-052 And those who obey Allâh and His Messenger and hold Allâh in awe and take Him as a shield (for protection) it is they who shall be triumphant. وَمَنْ يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَه ُُ وَيَخْشَ اللَّهَ وَيَتَّقهِ فَأُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الْفَائِزُونَ
Wa 'Aqsamū Bil-Lahi Jahda 'Aymānihim La'in 'Amartahum Layakhrujunna  ۖ  Qul Lā Tuqsimū  ۖ  Ţā`atun Ma`rūfatun  ۚ  'Inna Al-Laha Khabīrun Bimā Ta`malūna َ024-053 They (- the hypocrites) swear to Allâh by their most earnest oaths that if you only command them (for defensive fight) they will certainly march forth (from their homes). Say, `Do not swear, only reasonable obedience in what is right and lawful (is all that is required from you).´ Surely, Allâh is Aware of what you do. وَأَقْسَمُوا بِاللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَانِهِمْ لَئِنْ أَمَرْتَهُمْ لَيَخْرُجُنَّ  ۖ  قُلْ لاَ تُقْسِمُوا  ۖ  طَاعَة ٌ مَعْرُوفَة ٌ  ۚ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَبِير ٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
Qul 'Aţī`ū Al-Laha Wa 'Aţī`ū Ar-Rasūla  ۖ  Fa'in Tawallaw Fa'innamā `Alayhi Mā Ĥummila Wa `Alaykum Mā Ĥummiltum  ۖ  Wa 'In Tuţī`ūhu Tahtadū  ۚ  Wa Mā `Alá Ar-Rasūli 'Illā Al-Balāghu Al-Mubīnu َ024-054 Say, `Obey Allâh and obey the Messenger.´ But if you turn your back (remember that) he (- the Messenger) is responsible for what he is charged with (- the responsibility of conveying the Message) and you are responsible for what you are charged with (- the responsibility of following him). Indeed if you obey him you will be following the right path. (But if you do not, bear in mind,) the Messenger is not responsible but for the delivery (of the message to all) in clear terms. قُلْ أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ  ۖ  فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوا فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْهِ مَا حُمِّلَ وَعَلَيْكُمْ مَا حُمِّلْتُمْ  ۖ  وَإِنْ تُطِيعُوه ُُ تَهْتَدُوا  ۚ  وَمَا عَلَى الرَّسُولِ إِلاَّ الْبَلاَغُ الْمُبِينُ
Wa`ada Al-Lahu Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Minkum Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Layastakhlifannahum Al-'Arđi Kamā Astakhlafa Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim Wa Layumakkinanna Lahum Dīnahumu Al-Ladhī Artađá Lahum Wa Layubaddilannahum Min Ba`di Khawfihim 'Amnāan  ۚ  Ya`budūnanī Lā Yushrikūna Bī Shay'āan  ۚ  Wa Man Kafara Ba`da Dhālika Fa'ūlā'ika Humu Al-Fāsiqūna َ024-055 Allâh has promised those of you who believe and do deeds of righteousness that surely, He will make them successors (vouchsafed with both spiritual and temporal leadership) on the earth as He made successors (from among) their predecessors, and that He will surely establish for them their Faith which He has approved for them, and that He will surely replace their state of fear with a state of security and peace. They will worship Me (alone) and they will not associate anything with Me. And those who show ingratitude for all the favours done to them after that (His promise is fulfilled), it is they who will be reckoned as the worst disobedient. وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْكُمْ وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَيَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُم فِي الأَرْضِ كَمَا اسْتَخْلَفَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ وَلَيُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ دِينَهُمُ الَّذِي ارْتَضَى لَهُمْ وَلَيُبَدِّلَنَّهُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ خَوْفِهِمْ أَمْنا ً  ۚ  يَعْبُدُونَنِي لاَ يُشْرِكُونَ بِي شَيْئا ً  ۚ  وَمَنْ كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَأُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ
Wa 'Aqīmū Aş-Şalāata Wa 'Ā Az-Zakāata Wa 'Aţī`ū Ar-Rasūla La`allakum Turĥamūna َ024-056 And (believers!) observe the Prayer, keep on presenting the Zakât (purifying dues) and obey the Messenger that you may be shown mercy. وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلاَةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
Lā Taĥsabanna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Mu`jizīna Fī Al-'Arđi  ۚ  Wa Ma'wāhumu An-Nāru  ۖ  Wa Labi'sa Al-Maşīru َ024-057 Think not (O reader!) that those who disbelieve can ever be able to frustrate (Our plan on the earth) and escape Us. Their abode is Fire; what an evil resort! لاَ تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مُعْجِزِينَ فِي الأَرْضِ  ۚ  وَمَأْوَاهُمُ النَّارُ  ۖ  وَلَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ
Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Liyasta'dhinkumu Al-Ladhīna Malakat 'Aymānukum Wa Al-Ladhīna Lam Yablughū Al-Ĥuluma Minkum Thalātha Marrātin  ۚ  Min Qabli Şalāati Al-Fajri Wa Ĥīna Tađa`ūna Thiyā Bakum Mina Až-Žahīrati Wa Min Ba`di Şalāati  ۚ  Al-`Ishā'i Thalāthu `Awrātin  ۚ  Lakum Laysa `Alaykum Wa Lā `Alayhim Junāĥun  ۚ  Ba`dahunna Ţawwāfūna `Alaykum Ba`đukum `Alá  ۚ  Ba`đin Kadhālika Yubayyinu Al-Lahu Lakumu  ۗ  Al-'Āyā Ti Wa Allāhu `Alīmun Ĥakīmun َ024-058 O you who believe! it is binding on those whom your right hands possess (domestic servants) and those (of your children) who have not reached the age of puberty to ask your permission (before coming into your private rooms) in three instances, before the morning Prayer, and when you lay aside your clothes due to the heat (in summer) at noon and after the night Prayer. These are three times when your privacy should be respected. At other times no blame shall lie on you or on them (if they come to you without permission), for they have to move about (waiting upon you) some of you (attending) upon others (according to need). That is how Allâh explains to you His commandments, for Allâh is All-Knowing, All-Wise. يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لِيَسْتَأْذِنْكُمُ الَّذِينَ مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ وَالَّذِينَ لَمْ يَبْلُغُوا الْحُلُمَ مِنْكُمْ ثَلاَثَ مَرَّات ٍ مِنْ  ۚ  قَبْلِ صَلاَةِ الْفَجْرِ وَحِينَ تَضَعُونَ ثِيَابَكُمْ مِنَ الظَّهِيرَةِ وَمِنْ بَعْدِ صَلاَةِ الْعِشَاءِ ثَلاَثُ  ۚ  عَوْرَات ٍ لَكُمْ لَيْسَ  ۚ  عَلَيْكُمْ وَلاَ عَلَيْهِمْ جُنَاح ٌ بَعْدَهُنَّ طَوَّافُونَ  ۚ  عَلَيْكُمْ بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى بَعْض ٍ كَذَلِكَ  ۚ  يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمُ الآيَاتِ وَاللَّهُ  ۗ  عَلِيمٌ حَكِيم ٌ
Wa 'Idhā Balagha Al-'Aţfālu Minkumu Al-Ĥuluma Falyasta'dhinū Kamā Asta'dhana Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim  ۚ  Kadhālika Yubayyinu Al-Lahu Lakum 'Āyātihi Wa  ۗ  Allāhu `Alīmun Ĥakīmun َ024-059 When the children among you reach the age of puberty they (too) should seek permission (to come to your rooms) just as those (elderly people mentioned) before them do. That is how Allâh explains to you His commandments and Allâh is All-Knowing, All-Wise. وَإِذَا بَلَغَ الأَطْفَالُ مِنْكُمُ الْحُلُمَ فَلْيَسْتَأْذِنُوا كَمَا اسْتَأْذَنَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ  ۚ  كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ آيَاتِه ِِ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيم ٌ
Wa Al-Qawā`idu Mina An-Nisā' Al-Lātī Lā Yarjūna Nikāĥāan Falaysa `Alayhinna Junāĥun 'An Yađa`na Thiyābahunna Ghayra Mutabarrijātin  ۖ  Bizīnatin Wa 'An Yasta`fifna Khayrun  ۗ  Lahunna Wa Allāhu Samī`un `Alīmun َ024-060 And (as to the elderly spinsters who are past child-bearing age and) who do not hope for sexual intercourse, it is no offence for them to lay aside their outer garments provided they do not do it to display their beauty. But if they abstain (even from that) it is much better for them. Indeed Allâh is All-Hearing, All- Knowing. وَالْقَوَاعِدُ مِنَ النِسَاء اللاَّتِي لاَ يَرْجُونَ نِكَاحا ً فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْهِنَّ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ يَضَعْنَ ثِيَابَهُنَّ غَيْرَ مُتَبَرِّجَات ٍ بِزِينَة ٍ  ۖ  وَأَنْ يَسْتَعْفِفْنَ خَيْر ٌ لَهُنَّ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيم ٌ
Laysa `Alá Al-'A`má Ĥarajun Wa Lā `Alá Al-'A`raji Ĥarajun Wa Lā `Alá Al-Marīđi Ĥarajun Wa Lā `Alá 'Anfusikum 'An Ta'kulū Min Buyūtikum 'Aw Buyūti 'Ābā'ikum 'Aw Buyūti 'Ummahātikum 'Aw Buyūti 'Ikhwānikum 'Aw Buyūti 'Akhawātikum 'Aw Buyūti 'A`māmikum 'Aw Buyūti `Ammātikum 'Aw Buyūti 'Akhwālikum 'Aw Buyūti Khālātikum 'Aw Mā Malaktum Mafātiĥahu 'Aw Şadīqikum  ۚ  Laysa `Alaykum Junāĥun 'An Ta'kulū Jamī`āan 'Aw 'Ashtātāan  ۚ  Fa'idhā Dakhaltum Buyūtāan Fasallimū `Alá 'Anfusikum Taĥīyatan Min `Indi Al-Lahi Mubārakatan Ţayyibatan  ۚ  Kadhālika Yubayyinu Al-Lahu Lakumu Al-'Āyāti La`allakum Ta`qilūna َ024-061 There is no bar on (and not improper for) the blind, nor is there any bar on (nor improper for) the lame, nor is any bar on (nor improper for) the sick, nor on your people that you eat from your own houses, or the houses of your fathers (and children) or the houses of your mothers, or the houses of your brothers, or the houses of your sisters, or the houses of your paternal uncles, or the houses of your paternal aunts, or the houses of your maternal uncles, or the houses of your maternal aunts, or (from) that of which the keys are in your possessions (- which is under your charge), or (from the house of) a friend of yours. No blame lies on you whether you eat together or separately. And when you enter houses greet your people (present therein) with the salutation prescribed by Allâh (a salutation) full of blessings and purity. That is how Allâh explains to you (His) commandments that you may abstain (from evils). لَيْسَ عَلَى الأَعْمَى حَرَج ٌ وَلاَ عَلَى الأَعْرَجِ حَرَج ٌ وَلاَ عَلَى الْمَرِيضِ حَرَج ٌ وَلاَ عَلَى أَنفُسِكُمْ أَنْ تَأْكُلُوا مِنْ بُيُوتِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ آبَائِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ أُمَّهَاتِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ إِخْوَانِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ أَخَوَاتِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ أَعْمَامِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ عَمَّاتِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ أَخْوَالِكُمْ أَوْ بُيُوتِ خَالاَتِكُمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكْتُمْ مَفَاتِحَهُ~ُ أَوْ صَدِيقِكُمْ  ۚ  لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ تَأْكُلُوا جَمِيعاً أَوْ أَشْتَاتا ً  ۚ  فَإِذَا دَخَلْتُمْ بُيُوتا ً فَسَلِّمُوا عَلَى أَنفُسِكُمْ تَحِيَّة ً مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ مُبَارَكَة ً طَيِّبَة ً  ۚ  كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمُ الآيَاتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
'Innamā Al-Mu'uminūna Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Bil-Lahi Wa Rasūlihi Wa 'Idhā Kānū Ma`ahu `Alá 'Amrin Jāmi`in Lam Yadh/habū Ĥattá Yasta'dhinūhu  ۚ  'Inna Al-Ladhīna Yasta'dhinūnaka 'Ūlā'ika Al-Ladhīna Yu'uminūna Bil-Lahi Wa Rasūlihi  ۚ  Fa'idhā Asta'dhanūka Liba`đi Sha'nihim Fa'dhan Liman Shi'ta Minhum Wa Astaghfir Lahumu Al-Laha  ۚ  'Inna Al-Laha Ghafūrun Raĥīmun َ024-062 True believers are only those who believe in Allâh and His Messenger, and who when they are with him (- the Messenger to confer) upon any matter of common importance which has brought (them) together, do not leave (the Messenger) until they have asked permission of him. Surely, it is those who ask your permission who (truly) believe in Allâh and His Messenger. So when they ask your permission for some (urgent and important) affair of their own, give your permission to whom you will of them and ask Allâh´s protection for them. Verily, Allâh is Great Protector, Ever Merciful. إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِه ِِ وَإِذَا كَانُوا مَعَه ُُ عَلَى أَمْر ٍ جَامِع ٍ لَمْ يَذْهَبُوا حَتَّى يَسْتَأْذِنُوهُ~ُ  ۚ  إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَأْذِنُونَكَ أُوْلَائِكَ الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِه ِِ  ۚ  فَإِذَا اسْتَأْذَنُوكَ لِبَعْضِ شَأْنِهِمْ فَأْذَنْ لِمَنْ شِئْتَ مِنْهُمْ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمُ اللَّهَ  ۚ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُور ٌ رَحِيم ٌ
Lā Taj`alū Du`ā'a Ar-Rasūli Baynakum Kadu`ā'i Ba`đikum Ba`đāan  ۚ  Qad Ya`lamu Al-Lahu Al-Ladhīna Yatasallalūna Minkum Liwādhāan  ۚ  Falyaĥdhari Al-Ladhīna Yukhālifūna `An 'Amrihi 'An Tuşībahum Fitnatun 'Aw Yuşībahum `Adhābun 'Alīmun َ024-063 (Believers!) do not treat the call of the Messenger among yourselves like the call of one of you to another. Allâh indeed knows those of you who sneak away stealthily (from the conference). So let those who go against His command beware, lest some calamity should befall them or they receive some painful punishment. لاَ تَجْعَلُوا دُعَاءَ الرَّسُولِ بَيْنَكُمْ كَدُعَاءِ بَعْضِكُمْ بَعْضا ً  ۚ  قَدْ يَعْلَمُ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ يَتَسَلَّلُونَ مِنْكُمْ لِوَاذا ً  ۚ  فَلْيَحْذَرِ الَّذِينَ يُخَالِفُونَ عَنْ أَمْرِهِ~ِ أَنْ تُصِيبَهُمْ فِتْنَةٌ أَوْ يُصِيبَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيم ٌ
'Alā 'Inna Lillahi Mā Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi  ۖ  Qad Ya`lamu Mā 'Antum `Alayhi Wa Yawma Yurja`ūna 'Ilayhi Fayunabbi'uhum Bimā `Amilū Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Bikulli Shay'in `Alīmun َ024-064 Beware! whatever is in the heavens and on the earth belongs to Allâh. He ever knows in what state you are (and He knows what you are holding to). The day when all people shall be made to return to Him, He will tell them all they had been doing, for Allâh is the Possessor of full knowledge of everything. أَلاَ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ  ۖ  قَدْ يَعْلَمُ مَا أَنْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ وَيَوْمَ يُرْجَعُونَ إِلَيْهِ فَيُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا عَمِلُوا  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيم ٌ
