8) سُورَة الأَنفَال

Yas'alūnaka `Ani Al-'Anfāl Quli Al-'Anfāli Lillahi Wa Ar-Rasūli Fa Attaqū Al-Laha Wa 'Aşliĥū Dhāta Baynikum Wa 'Aţī`ū Al-Laha Wa Rasūlahu 'In Kuntum Mu'uminīna َ008-001 People ask you about the voluntary gifts (for the advancement of the cause of Allâh). Say, `The voluntary gifts are at the disposal of Allâh and His Messenger (to administer). So take Allâh as a shield and reconcile your mutual differences and obey Allâh and His Messenger if you are (true) believers. يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الأَنفَال قُلِ الأَنفَالِ لِلَّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ  ۖ  فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَصْلِحُوا ذَاتَ  ۖ  بَيْنِكُمْ وَأَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ~ُ إِنْ  ۖ  كُنتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
'Innamā Al-Mu'uminūna Al-Ladhīna 'Idhā Dhukira Al-Lahu Wajilat Qulūbuhum Wa 'Idhā Tuliyat `Alayhim 'Āyātuhu Zādat/hum 'Īmānāan Wa `Alá Rabbihim Yatawakkalūna َ008-002 Verily, the (true) believers are only those whose hearts tremble when the name of Allâh is mentioned before them, and when His Messages are recited to them, it increases them in faith and in their Lord only do they put their trust; إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ الَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِرَ اللَّهُ وَجِلَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَإِذَا تُلِيَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُه ُُ زَادَتْهُمْ إِيمَانَا ً وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ
Al-Ladhīna Yuqīmūna Aş-Şalāata Wa Mimmā Razaqnāhum Yunfiqūna َ008-003 Who observe Prayer and go on spending from that which We have provided for them. الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلاَةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ
'Ūlā'ika Humu Al-Mu'uminūna Ĥaqqāan  ۚ  Lahum Darajātun `Inda Rabbihim Wa Maghfiratun Wa Rizqun Karīmun َ008-004 It is these who are the believers in truth. There awaits them with their Lord exalted degrees (of rank) as well as (His) protection and an honourable provision. أُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ حَقّا ً  ۚ  لَهُمْ دَرَجَاتٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ وَمَغْفِرَة ٌ وَرِزْق ٌ كَرِيم ٌ
Kamā 'Akhrajaka Rabbuka Min Baytika Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa 'Inna Farīqāan Mina Al-Mu'uminīna Lakārihūna َ008-005 (This reward is) because your Lord brought you forth from your house (for the Battle of Badr) for a righteous purpose, even though a party of the believers considered it very difficult. كَمَا أَخْرَجَكَ رَبُّكَ مِنْ بَيْتِكَ بِالْحَقِّ وَإِنَّ فَرِيقا ً مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ لَكَارِهُونَ
Yujādilūnaka Fī Al-Ĥaqqi Ba`damā Tabayyana Ka'annamā Yusāqūna 'Ilá Al-Mawti Wa Hum Yanžurūna َ008-006 These (disbelievers) disputed with you concerning the truth (of Islam) after it had been made clear (by signs and proofs). (On being invited to accept Islam they were behaving) as though they were being driven towards death, but they will actually be facing death very soon. يُجَادِلُونَكَ فِي الْحَقِّ بَعْدَمَا تَبَيَّنَ كَأَنَّمَا يُسَاقُونَ إِلَى الْمَوْتِ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ
Wa 'Idh Ya`idukumu Al-Lahu 'Iĥdá Aţā'ifatayni 'Annahā Lakum Wa Tawaddūna 'Anna Ghayra Dhāti Ash-Shawkati Takūnu Lakum Wa Yurīdu Al-Lahu 'An Yuĥiqqa Al-Ĥaqqa Bikalimātihi Wa Yaqţa`a Dābira Al-Kāfirīna َ008-007 And (O Companions of the Prophet! recall the time) when Allâh promised you (victory over) one of the two (enemy) parties; (the well-equipped Makkan army and the other ill-equipped caravan from Syria), that it should be yours (for fighting against), while you wanted the unarmed party to fall into your hands (to get an easy victory), but Allâh wanted to establish the truth by fulfilling His words (of prophecy) and to cut off the very root of the disbelievers; وَإِذْ يَعِدُكُمُ اللَّهُ إِحْدَى الطَّائِفَتَيْنِ أَنَّهَا لَكُمْ وَتَوَدُّونَ أَنَّ غَيْرَ ذَاتِ الشَّوْكَةِ تَكُونُ لَكُمْ وَيُرِيدُ اللَّهُ أَنْ يُحِقَّ الْحَقَّ بِكَلِمَاتِه ِِ وَيَقْطَعَ دَابِرَ الْكَافِرِينَ
Liyuĥiqqa Al-Ĥaqqa Wa Yubţila Al-Bāţila Wa Law Kariha Al-Mujrimūna َ008-008 So that He might establish the truth and wipe out the falsehood, though those who had cut their ties with Allâh considered it hard. لِيُحِقَّ الْحَقَّ وَيُبْطِلَ الْبَاطِلَ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُجْرِمُونَ
'Idh Tastaghīthūna Rabbakum Fāstajāba Lakum 'Annī Mumiddukum Bi'alfin Mina Al-Malā'ikati Murdifīna َ008-009 (Recall the time) when you (O Companions of the Prophet!) implored your Lord to aid you in distress, and He responded to you (saying), `I shall reinforce you with a thousand of the angels coming in continuous succession.´ إِذْ تَسْتَغِيثُونَ رَبَّكُمْ فَاسْتَجَابَ لَكُمْ أَنِّي مُمِدُّكُمْ بِأَلْف ٍ مِنَ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ مُرْدِفِينَ
Wa Mā Ja`alahu Al-Lahu 'Illā Bushrá Wa Litaţma'inna Bihi Qulūbukum  ۚ  Wa Mā An-Naşru 'Illā Min `Indi Al-Lahi  ۚ  'Inna Al-Laha `Azīzun Ĥakīmun َ008-010 And Allâh made this (coming of the angels) only as good tidings (of your victory) and (that was) so that your hearts might thereby be at rest, for (in any case) victory comes only by the help of Allâh. Verily, Allâh is All-Mighty, All-Wise. وَمَا جَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ إِلاَّ بُشْرَى وَلِتَطْمَئِنَّ بِه ِِ قُلُوبُكُمْ  ۚ  وَمَا النَّصْرُ إِلاَّ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ  ۚ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيم ٌ
'Idh Yughashshīkumu An-Nu`āsa 'Amanatan Minhu Wa Yunazzilu `Alaykum Mina As-Samā'i Mā'an Liyuţahhirakum Bihi Wa Yudh/hiba `Ankum Rijza Ash-Shayţāni Wa Liyarbiţa `Alá Qulūbikum Wa Yuthabbita Bihi Al-'Aqdāma َ008-011 (Recall the time) when He caused a sort of slumber to prevail upon you to give you a sense of peaceful security from Himself, and He sent down upon you water from the clouds that He might thereby purify you and remove from you the scourge of satan, that He might strengthen your hearts and thereby make your feet firm and strong. إِذْ يُغَشِّيكُمُ النُّعَاسَ أَمَنَة ً مِنْهُ وَيُنَزِّلُ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاء ً لِيُطَهِّرَكُمْ بِه ِِ وَيُذْهِبَ عَنكُمْ رِجْزَ الشَّيْطَانِ وَلِيَرْبِطَ عَلَى قُلُوبِكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتَ بِهِ الأَقْدَامَ
'Idh Yūĥī Rabbuka 'Ilá Al-Malā'ikati 'Annī Ma`akum Fathabbitū Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū  ۚ  Sa'ulqī Fī Qulūbi Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Ar-Ru`ba Fāđribū Fawqa Al-'A`nāqi Wa Ađribū Minhum Kulla Banānin َ008-012 (It was the time) when your Lord revealed to the angels (to convey to the believers), `I am with you;´ (and He commanded the angels) to make those who believe stand firm and fast, and `(O believers!) I will indeed strike terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. So smite on (your enemy´s) necks and above these (- on their heads) and strike off all their finger-tips.´ إِذْ يُوحِي رَبُّكَ إِلَى الْمَلاَئِكَةِ أَنِّي مَعَكُمْ فَثَبِّتُوا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا  ۚ  سَأُلْقِي فِي قُلُوبِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا الرُّعْبَ فَاضْرِبُوا فَوْقَ الأَعْنَاقِ وَاضْرِبُوا مِنْهُمْ كُلَّ بَنَان ٍ
Dhālika Bi'annahum Shāqqū Al-Laha Wa Rasūlahu  ۚ  Wa Man Yushāqiqi Al-Laha Wa Rasūlahu Fa'inna Al-Laha Shadīdu Al-`Iqābi َ008-013 This (punishment) is (given them) because they have cut themselves off from Allâh and His Messenger, and whosoever opposes Allâh and His Messenger, as its result Allâh (too) is Severe in punishment (to such). ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ شَاقُّوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَه ُُ  ۚ  وَمَنْ يُشَاقِقِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَه ُُ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ
Dhālikum Fadhūqūhu Wa 'Anna Lilkāfirīna `Adhāba An-Nāri َ008-014 That is (your punishment), so suffer some of it (in this life), and (know) that (in the Hereafter) there awaits the disbelievers the torment of the Fire. ذَلِكُمْ فَذُوقُوه ُُ وَأَنَّ لِلْكَافِرِينَ عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū 'Idhā Laqītumu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Zaĥfāan Falā Tuwallūhumu Al-'Adbāra َ008-015 O you who believe! when you meet those who disbelieve in battle array, do not show them your backs. يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا لَقِيتُمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا زَحْفا ً فَلاَ تُوَلُّوهُمُ الأَدْبَارَ
Wa Man Yuwallihim Yawma'idhin Duburahu 'Illā Mutaĥarrifāan Liqitālin 'Aw Mutaĥayyizāan 'Ilá Fi'atin Faqad Bā'a Bighađabin Mina Al-Lahi Wa Ma'wāhu Jahannamu  ۖ  Wa Bi'sa Al-Maşīru َ008-016 And he that shows his back to them at such a time, unless he is maneuvering in warfare or as a measure to rally to another company, has truly incurred the displeasure of Allâh, and his refuge is Gehenna. What an evil destined end it is! وَمَنْ يُوَلِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ دُبُرَهُ~ُ إِلاَّ مُتَحَرِّفا ً لِقِتَالٍ أَوْ مُتَحَيِّزا ً إِلَى فِئَة ٍ فَقَدْ بَاءَ بِغَضَب ٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَمَأْوَاه ُُ جَهَنَّمُ  ۖ  وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ
Falam Taqtulūhum Wa Lakinna Al-Laha Qatalahum  ۚ  Wa Mā Ramayta 'Idh Ramayta Wa Lakinna Al-Laha Ramá  ۚ  Wa Liyubliya Al-Mu'uminīna Minhu Balā'an Ĥasanāan  ۚ  'Inna Al-Laha Samī`un `Alīmun َ008-017 Therefore (in this war O Muslims!) you killed them not. (As a matter of fact) it was Allâh Who killed them. And (O Prophet!) it was not you who threw (a handful of small stones) when you did (apparently) throw them (towards the enemy) but it was Allâh Who threw (that He might vanquish your enemies) and that He might confer on the believers from Himself a bounteous favour. Verily, Allâh is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. فَلَمْ تَقْتُلُوهُمْ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ قَتَلَهُمْ  ۚ  وَمَا رَمَيْتَ إِذْ رَمَيْتَ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ رَمَى  ۚ  وَلِيُبْلِيَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِنْهُ بَلاَءً حَسَنا ً  ۚ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيم ٌ
Dhālikum Wa 'Anna Al-Laha Mūhinu Kaydi Al-Kāfirīna َ008-018 That is (what happened at the Battle of Badr), and (know for the future too) that Allâh will always go on thwarting the (war) strategies of the disbelievers. ذَلِكُمْ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ مُوهِنُ كَيْدِ الْكَافِرِينَ
'In Tastaftiĥū Faqad Jā'akumu Al-Fatĥu  ۖ  Wa 'In Tantahū Fahuwa Khayrun Lakum  ۖ  Wa 'In Ta`ūdū Na`ud Wa Lan Tughniya `Ankum Fi'atukum Shay'āan Wa Law Kathurat Wa 'Anna Al-Laha Ma`a Al-Mu'uminīna َ008-019 If you (O disbelievers!), sought a decision then such a decision (in the form of the results of the Battle of Badr) has of course come to you. And if you (now) desist (from persecuting the believers), it is better for you. And if you return (to hostilities), We too will return (to their help), and your hosts, though they may be numerous, will be of no avail to you; and (know) that Allâh is with the believers. إِنْ تَسْتَفْتِحُوا فَقَدْ جَاءَكُمُ الْفَتْحُ  ۖ  وَإِنْ تَنتَهُوا فَهُوَ خَيْر ٌ لَكُمْ  ۖ  وَإِنْ تَعُودُوا نَعُدْ وَلَنْ تُغْنِيَ عَنكُمْ فِئَتُكُمْ شَيْئا ً وَلَوْ كَثُرَتْ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū 'Aţī`ū Al-Laha Wa Rasūlahu Wa Lā Tawallaw `Anhu Wa 'Antum Tasma`ūna َ008-020 O you who believe! obey Allâh and His Messenger and do not turn away from him whilst you hear (him speak). يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَه ُُ وَلاَ تَوَلَّوْا عَنْهُ وَأَنْتُمْ تَسْمَعُونَ
Wa Lā Takūnū Kālladhīna Qālū Sami`nā Wa Hum Lā Yasma`ūna َ008-021 And be not like those who say, `We listen´ while they do not listen and do not accept . وَلاَ تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ قَالُوا سَمِعْنَا وَهُمْ لاَ يَسْمَعُونَ
'Inna Sharra Ad-Dawābbi `Inda Al-Lahi Aş-Şummu Al-Bukmu Al-Ladhīna Lā Ya`qilūna َ008-022 Surely, the worst of animal that walk or crawl in the sight of Allâh are those that are deaf and dumb and who are devoid of understanding. إِنَّ شَرَّ الدَّوَابِّ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ الصُّمُّ الْبُكْمُ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَعْقِلُونَ
Wa Law `Alima Al-Lahu Fīhim Khayrāan La'asma`ahum  ۖ  Wa Law 'Asma`ahum Latawallaw Wa Hum Mu`rūna َ008-023 Had Allâh found any good in them, He would have certainly made them listen (to the Qur´ân). And if (in the present situation) He makes them listen, they will turn away and they are averse. وَلَوْ عَلِمَ اللَّهُ فِيهِمْ خَيْرا ً لَأَسْمَعَهُمْ  ۖ  وَلَوْ أَسْمَعَهُمْ لَتَوَلَّوا وَهُمْ مُعْرِضُونَ
Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Astajībū Lillahi Wa Lilrrasūli 'Idhā Da`ākum Limā Yuĥyīkum  ۖ  Wa A`lamū 'Anna Al-Laha Yaĥūlu Bayna Al-Mar'i Wa Qalbihi Wa 'Annahu 'Ilayhi Tuĥsharūna َ008-024 O you who believe! respond to Allâh and the Messenger when he calls you to that which will give you life and know that Allâh intervenes between a person and (the inclinations of) his heart and that it is He to Whom you shall all be gathered (after having been raised to life). يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ  ۖ  وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَحُولُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَقَلْبِه ِِ وَأَنَّهُ~ُ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ
Wa Attaqū Fitnatan Lā Tuşībanna Al-Ladhīna Žalamū Minkum Khāşşatan  ۖ  Wa A`lamū 'Anna Al-Laha Shadīdu Al-`Iqābi َ008-025 And guard against an affliction which surely will not afflict only those of you in particular who have acted unjustly (but it will involve others also who are inclined towards them); and know that Allâh is Severe in requiting. وَاتَّقُوا فِتْنَة ً لاَ تُصِيبَنَّ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْكُمْ خَاصَّة ً  ۖ  وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ
Wa Adhkurū 'Idh 'Antum Qalīlun Mustađ`afūna Fī Al-'Arđi Takhāfūna 'An Yatakhaţţafakumu An-Nāsu Fa'āwākum Wa 'Ayyadakum Binaşrihi Wa Razaqakum Mina Aţ-Ţayyibāti La`allakum Tashkurūna َ008-026 And (recall the time) when you were only a few and were looked upon as weak in the land, you were afraid lest the people should take you by storm, but He provided you refuge (in Madînah) and strengthened you with His help and provided you with good and pure things so that you might give thanks. وَاذْكُرُوا إِذْ أَنْتُمْ قَلِيل ٌ مُسْتَضْعَفُونَ فِي الأَرْضِ تَخَافُونَ أَنْ يَتَخَطَّفَكُمُ النَّاسُ فَآوَاكُمْ وَأَيَّدَكُمْ بِنَصْرِه ِِ وَرَزَقَكُمْ مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Lā Takhūnū Al-Laha Wa Ar-Rasūla Wa Takhūnū 'Amānātikum Wa 'Antum Ta`lamūna َ008-027 O you who believe! do not be dishonest to Allâh and His Messenger, nor betray your trusts knowingly. يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لاَ تَخُونُوا اللَّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ وَتَخُونُوا أَمَانَاتِكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
Wa A`lamū 'Annamā 'Amwālukum Wa 'Awlādukum Fitnatun Wa 'Anna Al-Laha `Indahu 'Ajrun `Ažīmun َ008-028 And bear in mind that your possessions and your children are but an ordeal and it is Allâh alone with Whom there is a mighty reward. وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا أَمْوَالُكُمْ وَأَوْلاَدُكُمْ فِتْنَة ٌ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ عِنْدَهُ~ُ أَجْرٌ عَظِيم ٌ
Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū 'In Tattaqū Al-Laha Yaj`al Lakum Furqānāan Wa Yukaffir `Ankum Sayyi'ātikum Wa Yaghfir Lakum Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Dhū Al-Fađli Al-`Ažīmi َ008-029 O you who believe! if you take Allâh as a shield He will grant you Discrimination (between right and wrong as is the Battle of Badr) and rid you of all your evil thoughts and deeds, and will protect you (against their adverse consequences), for Allâh is Possessor of great bounties. يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنْ تَتَّقُوا اللَّهَ يَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ فُرْقَانا ً وَيُكَفِّرْ عَنكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ
Wa 'Idh Yamkuru Bika Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Liyuthbitūka 'Aw Yaqtulūka 'Aw Yukhrijūka  ۚ  Wa Yamkurūna Wa Yamkuru Al-Lahu Wa  ۖ  Allāhu Khayru Al-Mākirīna َ008-030 And (O Prophet! recall the time) when those who disbelieved plotted (evil) against you, (and when so devised) they might confine you or kill you or turn you out. And even now they are devising (means and methods to harm you), and Allâh also devised (to counteract their evil designs); and Allâh is the Best of devisers. وَإِذْ يَمْكُرُ بِكَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِيُثْبِتُوكَ أَوْ يَقْتُلُوكَ أَوْ يُخْرِجُوكَ  ۚ  وَيَمْكُرُونَ وَيَمْكُرُ اللَّهُ  ۖ  وَاللَّهُ خَيْرُ الْمَاكِرِينَ
Wa 'Idhā Tutlá `Alayhim 'Āyātunā Qālū Qad Sami`nā Law Nashā'u Laqulnā Mithla Hādhā  ۙ  'In Hādhā 'Illā 'Asāţīru Al-'Awwalīna َ008-031 And when Our verses are recited to them they say, `We have already heard (them before). If we so wish, we could certainly compose the like of this. These are nothing but fables of the former peoples.´ وَإِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا قَالُوا قَدْ سَمِعْنَا لَوْ نَشَاءُ لَقُلْنَا مِثْلَ هَذَا  ۙ  إِنْ هَذَا إِلاَّ أَسَاطِيرُ الأَوَّلِينَ
Wa 'Idh Qālū Al-Lahumma 'In Kāna Hādhā Huwa Al-Ĥaqqa Min `Indika Fa'amţir `Alaynā Ĥijāratan Mina As-Samā'i 'Aw A'tinā Bi`adhābin 'Alīmin َ008-032 And (recall the time) when they said, `O Allâh! if this (faith of Islam) indeed be the truth revealed by You, then rain down upon us stones from heaven, or bring down upon us (some other) grievous punishment.´ وَإِذْ قَالُوا اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كَانَ هَذَا هُوَ الْحَقَّ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ فَأَمْطِرْ عَلَيْنَا حِجَارَة ً مِنَ السَّمَاءِ أَوْ ائْتِنَا بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيم ٍ
Wa Mā Kāna Al-Lahu Liyu`adhdhibahum Wa 'Anta Fīhim  ۚ  Wa Mā Kāna Al-Lahu Mu`adhdhibahum Wa Hum Yastaghfirūna َ008-033 Allâh was not going to punish them so long as you (O Prophet!) were among them, nor would He punish them while they were seeking His protection. وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَأَنْتَ فِيهِمْ  ۚ  وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ
Wa Mā Lahum 'Allā Yu`adhdhibahumu Al-Lahu Wa Hum Yaşuddūna `Ani Al-Masjidi Al-Ĥarāmi Wa Mā Kānū 'Awliyā'ahu  ۚ  'In 'Awliyā'uuhu 'Illā Al-Muttaqūna Wa Lakinna 'Aktharahum Lā Ya`lamūna َ008-034 But what plea have they (now) that Allâh should not punish them when they keep (His worshippers) back from the Holy Mosque (at Makkah), whilst they are not (fit to be) its (true) trustees. Its (true) trustees are only those who have become secure against evil but most of these (disbelievers) know not (this fact). وَمَا لَهُمْ أَلاَّ يُعَذِّبَهُمُ اللَّهُ وَهُمْ يَصُدُّونَ عَنِ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَمَا كَانُوا أَوْلِيَاءَهُ~ُ  ۚ  إِنْ أَوْلِيَاؤُهُ~ُ إِلاَّ الْمُتَّقُونَ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ
Wa Mā Kāna Şalātuhum `Inda Al-Bayti 'Illā Mukā'an Wa Taşdiyatan  ۚ  Fadhūqū Al-`Adhāba Bimā Kuntum Takfurūna َ008-035 (How can they be the trustees of the Holy Mosque as) their prayer at the House is nothing but (sacrilegious activities like) whistling and clapping of hands. (O disbelievers! you asked for punishment) therefore suffer the punishment (at the Battle of Badr) on account of your disbelief. وَمَا كَانَ صَلاَتُهُمْ عِنْدَ الْبَيْتِ إِلاَّ مُكَاء ً وَتَصْدِيَة ً  ۚ  فَذُوقُوا الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Yunfiqūna 'Amwālahum Liyaşuddū `An Sabīli Al-Lahi  ۚ  Fasayunfiqūnahā Thumma Takūnu `Alayhim Ĥasratan Thumma Yughlabūna Wa  ۗ  Al-Ladhīna Kafarū 'Ilá Jahannama Yuĥsharūna َ008-036 Those who disbelieve spend their possessions to hinder (the people) from the way of Allâh. They will surely continue to spend it thereafter. Then, in the long run, (this expenditure) will be to them a (source of) regret and after that they shall be overcome. Such of them who persist in disbelief shall be gathered into Gehenna; إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُنْفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ لِيَصُدُّوا عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ  ۚ  فَسَيُنفِقُونَهَا ثُمَّ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسْرَة ً ثُمَّ يُغْلَبُونَ  ۗ  وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِلَى جَهَنَّمَ يُحْشَرُونَ
Liyamīza Al-Lahu Al-Khabītha Mina Aţ-Ţayyibi Wa Yaj`ala Al-Khabītha Ba`đahu `Alá Ba`đin Fayarkumahu Jamī`āan Fayaj`alahu Fī Jahannama  ۚ  'Ūlā'ika Humu Al-Khāsirūna َ008-037 So that Allâh may distinguish and separate the impure from the pure and (in doing so) He will pile the impure one upon another, then He will huddle them all together, then He will consign them (-the huddled pile) to Gehenna. Such, in fact, are the very losers. لِيَمِيزَ اللَّهُ الْخَبِيثَ مِنَ الطَّيِّبِ وَيَجْعَلَ الْخَبِيثَ بَعْضَه ُُ عَلَى بَعْض ٍ فَيَرْكُمَه ُُ جَمِيعا ً فَيَجْعَلَه ُُ فِي جَهَنَّمَ  ۚ  أُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ
Qul Lilladhīna Kafarū 'In Yantahū Yughfar Lahum Mā Qad Salafa Wa 'In Ya`ūdū Faqad Mađat Sunnatu Al-'Awwalīna َ008-038 Say to these who disbelieve that if they desist (now from persecuting the Muslims) they will be protected against the past (misdeeds), but if they revert (to their old ways of mischief), then the example of their predecessors has already gone before (and they will meet the same doom). قُلْ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ يَنتَهُوا يُغْفَرْ لَهُمْ مَا قَدْ سَلَفَ وَإِنْ يَعُودُوا فَقَدْ مَضَتْ سُنَّةُ الأَوَّلِينَ
Wa Qātilūhum Ĥattá Lā Takūna Fitnatun Wa Yakūna Ad-Dīnu Kulluhu Lillahi  ۚ  Fa'ini Antahaw Fa'inna Al-Laha Bimā Ya`malūna Başīrun َ008-039 And (O Muslims!) fight them until there is no more persecution (in the name of religion) and adopting a (certain) religion is wholly for the sake of Allâh, but if they desist, then surely Allâh is Watchful of what they do (and they will not be done injustice to). وَقَاتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّى لاَ تَكُونَ فِتْنَة ٌ وَيَكُونَ الدِّينُ كُلُّه ُُ لِلَّهِ  ۚ  فَإِنِ انتَهَوْا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ بَصِير ٌ
Wa 'In Tawallaw Fā`lamū 'Anna Al-Laha Mawlākum  ۚ  Ni`ma Al-Mawlá Wa Ni`ma An-Naşīru َ008-040 But if they turn back (and refuse all these terms and fight you) then know that Allâh is your Protecting Friend, what an excellent Protecting Friend! and what an Excellent Helper! وَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ مَوْلاَكُمْ  ۚ  نِعْمَ الْمَوْلَى وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ
Wa A`lamū 'Annamā Ghanimtum Min Shay'in Fa'anna Lillahi Khumusahu Wa Lilrrasūli Wa Lidhī Al-Qurbá Wa Al-Yatāmá Wa Al-Masākīni Wa Abni As-Sabīli 'In Kuntum 'Āmantum Bil-Lahi Wa Mā 'Anzalnā `Alá `Abdinā Yawma Al-Furqāni Yawma At-Taqá Al-Jam`āni Wa  ۗ  Allāhu `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun َ008-041 And know that whatever you acquire on winning a victory, a fifth of it belongs to Allâh, to the Messenger and to the kindred and the orphan, and the needy and the wayfarer; (this you must observe) if you believe in Allâh and in what We sent down upon Our servant on the Day of Discrimination (between the truth and the falsehood), the day the two armies encountered each other (at the Battle of Badr). Indeed, Allâh is Possessor of power to do all He will. وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا غَنِمْتُمْ مِنْ شَيْء ٍ فَأَنَّ لِلَّهِ خُمُسَه ُُ وَلِلرَّسُولِ وَلِذِي الْقُرْبَى وَالْيَتَامَى وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ إِنْ كُنتُمْ آمَنْتُمْ بِاللَّهِ وَمَا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَى عَبْدِنَا يَوْمَ الْفُرْقَانِ يَوْمَ الْتَقَى الْجَمْعَانِ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ قَدِير ٌ
'Idh 'Antum Bil-`Udwati Ad-Dunyā Wa Hum Bil-`Udwati Al-Quşwá Wa Ar-Rakbu 'Asfala Minkum  ۚ  Wa Law Tawā`adttumkhtalaftum Al-Mī`ādi  ۙ  Wa Lakin Liyaqđiya Al-Lahu 'Amrāan Kāna Maf`ūlāan Liyahlika Man Halaka `An Bayyinatin Wa Yaĥyá Man Ĥayya `An Bayyinatin  ۗ  Wa 'Inna Al-Laha Lasamī`un `Alīmun َ008-042 When (on that day) you were on the nearer end (-the side nearer to Madînah of the valley of Badr) and those (of the hostile forces of disbelievers) were at its farther end (- the side which was farther from Madînah) and the caravan (of the Quraish from Syria) was on a level lower than yours (- towards the sea-coast). And had you made a mutual appointment beforehand (as to when and where to meet the foe) you would have differed with regard to the place and time of the appointment, (but the encounter did take place), that Allâh brought about that which was already decreed (by Him), so that he who had (already spiritually) perished on the altar of reason might perish (physically also), and he who has (already spiritually) come to life through a clear sign might live (physically also). Most surely, Allâh is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. إِذْ أَنْتُمْ بِالْعُدْوَةِ الدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ بِالْعُدْوَةِ الْقُصْوَى وَالرَّكْبُ أَسْفَلَ مِنْكُمْ  ۚ  وَلَوْ تَوَاعَدتُّمْ لاَخْتَلَفْتُمْ فِي الْمِيعَادِ  ۙ  وَلَكِنْ لِيَقْضِيَ اللَّهُ أَمْرا ً كَانَ مَفْعُولا ً لِيَهْلِكَ مَنْ هَلَكَ عَنْ بَيِّنَة ٍ وَيَحْيَى مَنْ حَيَّ عَنْ بَيِّنَة ٍ  ۗ  وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَسَمِيعٌ عَلِيم ٌ
'Idh Yurīkahumu Al-Lahu Fī Manāmika Qalīlāan  ۖ  Wa Law 'Arākahum Kathīrāan Lafashiltum Wa Latanāza`tum Al-'Amri Wa Lakinna Al-Laha Sallama  ۗ  'Innahu `Alīmun Bidhāti Aş-Şudūri َ008-043 (Prophet! recall the time) when Allâh showed these (disbelievers) to you in your dream to be only a few, and had He shown them to you as many (O believers!) you would surely have been demoralised and would have disputed one with another about the matter (of waging war), but Allâh saved (you). Indeed, He has the best knowledge of that which is in (your) hearts. إِذْ يُرِيكَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِي مَنَامِكَ قَلِيلا ً  ۖ  وَلَوْ أَرَاكَهُمْ كَثِيرا ً لَفَشِلْتُمْ وَلَتَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي الأَمْرِ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ سَلَّمَ  ۗ  إِنَّه ُُ عَلِيم ٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ
Wa 'Idh Yurīkumūhum 'Idhi At-Taqaytum Fī 'A`yunikum Qalīlāan Wa Yuqallilukum Fī 'A`yunihim Liyaqđiya Al-Lahu 'Amrāan Kāna Maf`ūlāan  ۗ  Wa 'Ilá Al-Lahi Turja`u Al-'Umūru َ008-044 And when you encountered (them), He made them appear as a few in your eyes and He made you appear as a few in their eyes, in order that Allâh might bring about the thing that had already been decreed. And to Allâh all matters stand referred (for decision). وَإِذْ يُرِيكُمُوهُمْ إِذِ الْتَقَيْتُمْ فِي أَعْيُنِكُمْ قَلِيلا ً وَيُقَلِّلُكُمْ فِي أَعْيُنِهِمْ لِيَقْضِيَ اللَّهُ أَمْرا ً كَانَ مَفْعُولا ً  ۗ  وَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ الأُمُورُ
Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū 'Idhā Laqītum Fi'atanthbutū Wa Adhkurū Al-Laha Kathīrāan La`allakum Tufliĥūna َ008-045 O you who believe! when you encounter a host, remain steadfast, and remember Allâh much that you may triumph. يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا لَقِيتُمْ فِئَة ً فَاثْبُتُوا وَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ كَثِيرا ً لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
Wa 'Aţī`ū Al-Laha Wa Rasūlahu Wa Lā Tanāza`ū Fatafshalū Wa Tadh/haba Rīĥukum  ۖ  Wa Aşbirū  ۚ  'Inna Al-Laha Ma`a Aş-Şābirīna َ008-046 And obey Allâh and His Messenger and dispute not with one another or you will be demoralised and your strength will depart (from you) and do persevere, for Allâh is surely with the patiently persevering ones. وَأَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَه ُُ وَلاَ تَنَازَعُوا فَتَفْشَلُوا وَتَذْهَبَ رِيحُكُمْ  ۖ  وَاصْبِرُوا  ۚ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ
Wa Lā Takūnū Kālladhīna Kharajū Min Diyārihim Baţarāan Wa Ri'ā'a An-Nāsi Wa Yaşuddūna `An Sabīli Al-Lahi Wa  ۚ  Allāhu Bimā Ya`malūna Muĥīţun َ008-047 And be not like those who marched forth from their homes (at the time of Battle of Badr) boastfully and making an ostentatious display of themselves to the people, and who hindered (the people) from following the path of Allâh. And Allâh is the Destroyer of whatever they do (against Islam). وَلاَ تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ خَرَجُوا مِنْ دِيَارِهِمْ بَطَرا ً وَرِئَاءَ النَّاسِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ  ۚ  وَاللَّهُ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيط ٌ
Wa 'Idh Zayyana Lahumu Ash-Shayţānu 'A`mālahum Wa Qāla Lā Ghāliba Lakumu Al-Yawma Mina An-Nāsi Wa 'Innī Jārun Lakum  ۖ  Falammā Tarā'ati Al-Fi'atāni Nakaşa `Alá `Aqibayhi Wa Qāla 'Innī Barī'un Minkum 'Innī 'Ará Mā Lā Tarawna 'Inniyi 'Akhāfu Al-Laha Wa  ۚ  Allāhu Shadīdu Al-`Iqābi َ008-048 And (recall the time) when satan made their deeds fair-seeming to them and said, `Today none among the people shall overpower you, for surely, I am your protecting helper.´ But when the two hosts came face to face with each other, he (- satan) retraced his steps and said, `Surely I have nothing to do with you, I see that which you do not see. I am surely afraid of Allâh, for Allâh is Severe in requital.´ وَإِذْ زَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ وَقَالَ لاَ غَالِبَ لَكُمُ الْيَوْمَ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَإِنِّي جَار ٌ لَكُمْ  ۖ  فَلَمَّا تَرَاءَتِ الْفِئَتَانِ نَكَصَ عَلَى عَقِبَيْهِ وَقَالَ إِنِّي بَرِيء ٌ مِنْكُمْ إِنِّي أَرَى مَا لاَ تَرَوْنَ إِنِّيِ أَخَافُ اللَّهَ  ۚ  وَاللَّهُ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ
'Idh Yaqūlu Al-Munāfiqūna Wa Al-Ladhīna Fī Qulūbihim Marađun Gharra Hā'uulā' Dīnuhum  ۗ  Wa Man Yatawakkal `Alá Al-Lahi Fa'inna Al-Laha `Azīzun Ĥakīmun َ008-049 (This was the time) when the hypocrites and those who carried in their hearts a disease were saying, `Their religion has deluded these (Muslims).´ But (the truth of the matter is that) whoso puts his trust in Allâh finds that surely Allâh is All-Mighty, All-Wise. إِذْ يَقُولُ الْمُنَافِقُونَ وَالَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ غَرَّ هَاؤُلاَء دِينُهُمْ  ۗ  وَمَنْ يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيم ٌ
Wa Law Tará 'Idh Yatawaffá Al-Ladhīna Kafarū  ۙ  Al-Malā'ikatu Yađribūna Wujūhahum Wa 'Adbārahum Wa Dhūqū `Adhāba Al-Ĥarīqi َ008-050 Could you but see the angels carrying away the souls of those who disbelieve, smiting their faces and their backs (saying), `Suffer the punishment of burning. وَلَوْ تَرَى إِذْ يَتَوَفَّى الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا  ۙ  الْمَلاَئِكَةُ يَضْرِبُونَ وُجُوهَهُمْ وَأَدْبَارَهُمْ وَذُوقُوا عَذَابَ الْحَرِيقِ
Dhālika Bimā Qaddamat 'Aydīkum Wa 'Anna Al-Laha Laysa Bižallāmin Lil`abīdi َ008-051 `This (punishment) is because of (the deeds) which your (own) hands have sent forward and (know) Allâh is by no means unjust to His servants.´ ذَلِكَ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَيْسَ بِظَلاَّم ٍ لِلْعَبِيدِ
Kada'bi 'Āli Fir`awna Wa  ۙ  Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim  ۚ  Kafarū Bi'āyāti Al-Lahi Fa'akhadhahumu Al-Lahu Bidhunūbihim  ۗ  'Inna Al-Laha Qawīyun Shadīdu Al-`Iqābi َ008-052 (Their ways are) like the ways of the followers of Pharaoh and those before them. They disbelieved in the Messages of Allâh, so Allâh seized them for their sins. Mighty is Allâh and Severe in punishing (the evil done). كَدَأْبِ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ  ۙ  وَالَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ  ۚ  كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ فَأَخَذَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ  ۗ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَوِيّ ٌ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ
Dhālika Bi'anna Al-Laha Lam Yaku Mughayyirāan Ni`matan 'An`amahā `Alá Qawmin Ĥattá Yughayyirū Mā Bi'anfusihim  ۙ  Wa 'Anna Al-Laha Samī`un `Alīmun َ008-053 It happened thus because Allâh is One Who would never withdraw a favour which He has conferred on a people until they themselves change their own state of mind, and that is because Allâh is (all the same) All-Hearing, All-Knowing. ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَمْ يَكُ مُغَيِّرا ً نِعْمَةً أَنْعَمَهَا عَلَى قَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنفُسِهِمْ  ۙ  وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيم ٌ
Kada'bi 'Āli Fir`awna Wa  ۙ  Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim  ۚ  Kadhdhabū Bi'āyāti Rabbihim Fa'ahlaknāhum Bidhunūbihim Wa 'Aghraqnā 'Āla Fir`awna  ۚ  Wa Kullun Kānū Žālimīna َ008-054 Just as it happened to the followers of Pharaoh and those before them (so the same fate will meet them) for they had cried lies to the commandments of their Lord. So We destroyed them on account of their sins, and We drowned the followers of Pharaoh because they were all wrong-doers. كَدَأْبِ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ  ۙ  وَالَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ  ۚ  كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَأَغْرَقْنَا آلَ فِرْعَوْنَ  ۚ  وَكُلّ ٌ كَانُوا ظَالِمِينَ
'Inna Sharra Ad-Dawābbi `Inda Al-Lahi Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Fahum Lā Yu'uminūna َ008-055 Surely, the worst of beasts in the sight of Allâh are those who denied to believe (in the truth in the first instance) so they would not believe; إِنَّ شَرَّ الدَّوَابِّ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فَهُمْ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ
Al-Ladhīna `Āhadta Minhum Thumma Yanquđūna `Ahdahum Fī Kulli Marratin Wa Hum Lā Yattaqūna َ008-056 (Particularly) those with whom you entered into a pact, but every time they break their pact and they do not guard (against breach of trusts). الَّذِينَ عَاهَدْتَ مِنْهُمْ ثُمَّ يَنقُضُونَ عَهْدَهُمْ فِي كُلِّ مَرَّة ٍ وَهُمْ لاَ يَتَّقُونَ
Fa'immā Tathqafannahum Al-Ĥarbi Fasharrid Bihim Man Khalfahum La`allahum Yadhdhakkarūna َ008-057 Therefore if you find these (breakers of trust) in battle array, then (by inflicting an exemplary punishment upon them) disperse those behind them so that they may be admonished. فَإِمَّا تَثْقَفَنَّهُمْ فِي الْحَرْبِ فَشَرِّدْ بِهِمْ مَنْ خَلْفَهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ
Wa 'Immā Takhāfanna Min Qawmin Khiyānatannbidh 'Ilayhim `Alá Sawā'in  ۚ  'Inna Al-Laha Lā Yuĥibbu Al-Khā'inīna َ008-058 And if you fear (and have reasons to fear) treachery from a people, then annul (their pact) on terms of equality. Indeed, Allâh loves not the treacherous. وَإِمَّا تَخَافَنَّ مِنْ قَوْمٍ خِيَانَة ً فَانْبِذْ إِلَيْهِمْ عَلَى سَوَاء ٍ  ۚ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْخَائِنِينَ
Wa Lā Yaĥsabanna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Sabaqū  ۚ  'Innahum Lā Yu`jizūna َ008-059 And let not those who disbelieve think that they have outstripped (Us). They shall not be able to frustrate (Our purpose). وَلاَ يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا سَبَقُوا  ۚ  إِنَّهُمْ لاَ يُعْجِزُونَ
Wa 'A`iddū LahumAstaţa`tum Min Qūwatin Wa Min Ribāţi Al-Khayli Turhibūna Bihi `Adūwa Al-Lahi Wa `Adūwakum Wa 'Ākharīna Min Dūnihim Lā Ta`lamūnahumu Al-Lahu Ya`lamuhum  ۚ  Wa Mā Tunfiqū Min Shay'in Fī Sabīli Al-Lahi Yuwaffa 'Ilaykum Wa 'Antum Lā Tužlamūna َ008-060 (Believers! it is your duty also that you) keep prepared to meet them with whatever you can afford of armed force and of mounted pickets at the frontier, to strike terror thereby into the hearts of the enemies of Allâh and your enemies and such others besides them that you do not know, (but) Allâh knows them. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allâh, it shall be repaid to you in full and you will not be dealt with unjustly. وَأَعِدُّوا لَهُمْ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ قُوَّة ٍ وَمِنْ رِبَاطِ الْخَيْلِ تُرْهِبُونَ بِه ِِ عَدُوَّ اللَّهِ وَعَدُوَّكُمْ وَآخَرِينَ مِنْ دُونِهِمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَهُمُ اللَّهُ يَعْلَمُهُمْ  ۚ  وَمَا تُنفِقُوا مِنْ شَيْء ٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ يُوَفَّ إِلَيْكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ لاَ تُظْلَمُونَ
Wa 'In Janaĥū Lilssalmi Fājnaĥ Lahā Wa Tawakkal `Alá Al-Lahi  ۚ  'Innahu Huwa As-Samī`u Al-`Alīmu َ008-061 And if they incline towards peace, you should also incline towards it and put your trust in Allâh. Surely, it is He Who is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. وَإِنْ جَنَحُوا لِلسَّلْمِ فَاجْنَحْ لَهَا وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ  ۚ  إِنَّه ُُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
Wa 'In Yurīdū 'An Yakhda`ūka Fa'inna Ĥasbaka Al-Lahu  ۚ  Huwa Al-Ladhī 'Ayyadaka Binaşrihi Wa Bil-Mu'uminīna َ008-062 But if they intend to desert you, (remember that) Allâh surely suffices you. It is He Who has strengthened you with His help and with the believers; وَإِنْ يُرِيدُوا أَنْ يَخْدَعُوكَ فَإِنَّ حَسْبَكَ اللَّهُ  ۚ  هُوَ الَّذِي أَيَّدَكَ بِنَصْرِه ِِ وَبِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa 'Allafa Bayna Qulūbihim  ۚ  Law 'Anfaqta Mā Fī Al-'Arđi Jamī`āan Mā 'Allafta Bayna Qulūbihim Wa Lakinna Al-Laha 'Allafa Baynahum  ۚ  'Innahu `Azīzun Ĥakīmun َ008-063 And He has united their (- believers´) hearts in mutual affection. Had you spent all that is in the earth you could not have united their hearts so, but Allâh united their hearts in mutual affection. He is indeed All-Mighty, All-Wise. وَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِهِمْ  ۚ  لَوْ أَنفَقْتَ مَا فِي الأَرْضِ جَمِيعا ً مَا أَلَّفْتَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ أَلَّفَ بَيْنَهُمْ  ۚ  إِنَّه ُُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيم ٌ
Yā 'Ayyuhā An-Nabīyu Ĥasbuka Al-Lahu Wa Mani Attaba`aka Mina Al-Mu'uminīna َ008-064 O Prophet! Allâh is sufficient for you and for the believers who follow you. يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ حَسْبُكَ اللَّهُ وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Yā 'Ayyuhā An-Nabīyu Ĥarriđi Al-Mu'uminīna `Alá Al-Qitāli  ۚ  'In Yakun Minkum `Ishrūna Şābirūna Yaghlibū Miā'atayni  ۚ  Wa 'In Yakun Minkum Miā'atun Yaghlibū 'Alfāan Mina Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Bi'annahum Qawmun Lā Yafqahūna َ008-065 O Prophet! urge the believers frequently and strongly to (defensive) fighting. If there be of you twenty steadfast, they shall overcome two hundred and if there be a hundred of you they shall overcome a thousand of those who disbelieve, because these are a people devoid of understanding. يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ حَرِّضِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَى الْقِتَالِ  ۚ  إِنْ يَكُنْ مِنْكُمْ عِشْرُونَ صَابِرُونَ يَغْلِبُوا مِائَتَيْنِ  ۚ  وَإِنْ يَكُنْ مِنْكُمْ مِائَة ٌ يَغْلِبُوا أَلْفا ً مِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْم ٌ لاَ يَفْقَهُونَ
Al-'Āna Khaffafa Al-Lahu `Ankum Wa `Alima 'Anna Fīkum Đa`fāan  ۚ  Fa'in Yakun Minkum Miā'atun Şābiratun Yaghlibū Miā'atayni  ۚ  Wa 'In Yakun Minkum 'Alfun Yaghlibū 'Alfayni Bi'idhni Al-Lahi Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Ma`a Aş-Şābirīna َ008-066 For the present Allâh has lightened your burden, for He knows that there is yet some weakness in you, thus, if there be of you one hundred persevering and steadfast persons they shall (still) overcome (at least) two hundred and if there be a thousand of you they shall overcome two thousand by the leave of Allâh. And Allâh is with the steadfast. الآنَ خَفَّفَ اللَّهُ عَنكُمْ وَعَلِمَ أَنَّ فِيكُمْ ضَعْفا ً  ۚ  فَإِنْ يَكُنْ مِنْكُمْ مِائَة ٌ صَابِرَة ٌ يَغْلِبُوا مِائَتَيْنِ  ۚ  وَإِنْ يَكُنْ مِنْكُمْ أَلْف ٌ يَغْلِبُوا أَلْفَيْنِ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ
Mā Kāna Linabīyin 'An Yakūna Lahu 'Asrá Ĥattá Yuthkhina Fī Al-'Arđi  ۚ  Turīdūna `Arađa Ad-Dunyā Wa Allāhu Yurīdu Al-'Ākhirata Wa  ۗ  Allāhu `Azīzun Ĥakīmun َ008-067 It does not behove a Prophet to keep captives unless He has triumphed after a regular bloody fighting in the land. (If you take captives without warfare,) you desire the temporary and frail goods of this world, while Allâh desires (for you the good of) the Hereafter. And Allâh is All-Mighty, All-Wise. مَا كَانَ لِنَبِيٍّ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ~ُ أَسْرَى حَتَّى يُثْخِنَ فِي الأَرْضِ  ۚ  تُرِيدُونَ عَرَضَ الدُّنْيَا وَاللَّهُ يُرِيدُ الآخِرَةَ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيم ٌ
Lawlā Kitābun Mina Al-Lahi Sabaqa Lamassakum Fīmā 'Akhadhtum `Adhābun `Ažīmun َ008-068 Had there not been a prior decree (of a war at Badr) from Allâh you would certainly have come to grief as a result of that which you were going to undertake (by attacking the caravan of Quraish from Syria). لَوْلاَ كِتَاب ٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ سَبَقَ لَمَسَّكُمْ فِيمَا أَخَذْتُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيم ٌ
Fakulū Mimmā Ghanimtum Ĥalālāan Ţayyibāan  ۚ  Wa Attaqū Al-Laha  ۚ  'Inna Al-Laha Ghafūrun Raĥīmun َ008-069 So eat (and spend) of that which you have acquired after winning the war as is lawful, good and pure, and take Allâh as a shield, for Allâh is Great Protector, Ever Merciful. فَكُلُوا مِمَّا غَنِمْتُمْ حَلالا ً طَيِّبا ً  ۚ  وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ  ۚ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُور ٌ رَحِيم ٌ
Yā 'Ayyuhā An-Nabīyu Qul Liman Fī 'Aydīkum Mina Al-'Asrá 'In Ya`lami Al-Lahu Fī Qulūbikum Khayrāan Yu'utikum Khayrāan Mimmā 'Ukhidha Minkum Wa Yaghfir Lakum Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Ghafūrun Raĥīmun َ008-070 Prophet! say to those captives (of war) who are in your custody, `If Allâh finds any good in your heart, He will give you even better than that which has been taken away from you (as ransom) and will protect you (against your sins), for Allâh is Great Protector, Ever Merciful, يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُلْ لِمَنْ فِي أَيْدِيكُمْ مِنَ الأَسْرَى إِنْ يَعْلَمِ اللَّهُ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ خَيْرا ً يُؤْتِكُمْ خَيْرا ً مِمَّا أُخِذَ مِنْكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ غَفُور ٌ رَحِيم ٌ
Wa 'In Yurīdū Khiyānataka Faqad Khānū Al-Laha Min Qablu Fa'amkana Minhum Wa  ۗ  Allāhu `Alīmun Ĥakīmun َ008-071 But if they intend to play false with you, (remember that) they were false to Allâh before, but He delivered them into your control. And Allâh is All-Knowing, All-Wise. وَإِنْ يُرِيدُوا خِيَانَتَكَ فَقَدْ خَانُوا اللَّهَ مِنْ قَبْلُ فَأَمْكَنَ مِنْهُمْ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيم ٌ
'Inna Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa Hājarū Wa Jāhadū Bi'amwālihim Wa 'Anfusihim Fī Sabīli Al-Lahi Wa Al-Ladhīna 'Āwaw Wa Naşarū 'Ūlā'ika Ba`đuhum 'Awliyā'u Ba`đin Wa  ۚ  Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa Lam Yuhājarū Mā Lakum Min Walāyatihim Min Shay'in Ĥattá Yuhājirū  ۚ  Wa 'Ini Astanşarūkum Ad-Dīni Fa`alaykumu An-Naşru 'Illā `Alá Qawmin Baynakum Wa Baynahumthāqun Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Bimā Ta`malūna Başīrun َ008-072 Surely, those who have believed and have emigrated and strove hard with their possessions and their persons in the cause of Allâh (- the Muhâjirs), and who have given (them) refuge and helped (- the Ansâr), are friends one to another. But you are not responsible for the protection of those who have believed but have not emigrated until they do emigrate. However if they seek your help in (the matter of) faith, then it is binding upon you to help them except against a people between whom and yourselves is a treaty. Indeed, Allâh knows well all that you do. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَهَاجَرُوا وَجَاهَدُوا بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَالَّذِينَ آوَوا وَنَصَرُوا أُوْلَائِكَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْض ٍ  ۚ  وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَلَمْ يُهَاجَرُوا مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ وَلاَيَتِهِمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ حَتَّى يُهَاجِرُوا  ۚ  وَإِنِ اسْتَنصَرُوكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ فَعَلَيْكُمُ النَّصْرُ إِلاَّ عَلَى قَوْم ٍ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ مِيثَاق ٌ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِير ٌ
Wa Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Ba`đuhum 'Awliyā'u  ۚ  Ba`đin 'Illā Taf`alūhu Takun Fitnatun Al-'Arđi Wa Fasādun Kabīrun َ008-073 And (as for) those who disbelieve, they are friends one to another. Hence if you (O Muslims!) do not act (as has been ordained for you to help one another) there will be persecution and great corruption in the land. وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْض ٍ  ۚ  إِلاَّ تَفْعَلُوه ُُ تَكُنْ فِتْنَة ٌ فِي الأَرْضِ وَفَسَاد ٌ كَبِير ٌ
Wa Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa Hājarū Wa Jāhadū Fī Sabīli Al-Lahi Wa Al-Ladhīna 'Āwaw Wa Naşarū 'Ūlā'ika Humu Al-Mu'uminūna  ۚ  Ĥaqqāan Lahum Maghfiratun Wa Rizqun Karīmun َ008-074 And those who have believed and emigrated and strove hard for the cause of Allâh, and those who have given (them) refuge and have helped, it is these indeed who are the true believers. For them is (His) protection (against sins) and an honourable provision (from Him). وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَهَاجَرُوا وَجَاهَدُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَالَّذِينَ آوَوا وَنَصَرُوا أُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ حَقّا ً  ۚ  لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَة ٌ وَرِزْق ٌ كَرِيم ٌ
Wa Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Min Ba`du Wa Hājarū Wa Jāhadū Ma`akum Fa'ūlā'ika  ۚ  Minkum Wa 'Ū Al-'Arĥāmi Ba`đuhum 'Awlá Biba`đin Fī Kitābi  ۗ  Al-Lahi 'Inna Al-Laha Bikulli Shay'in `Alīmun َ008-075 And (even) those who have believed afterwards, and emigrated and strove hard jointly with you for the cause of Allâh, they of course belong to you. And (as to) blood relations they are nearer one to another (to inheritance) according to the law of Allâh. Surely, Allâh has perfect knowledge of everything. وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْ بَعْدُ وَهَاجَرُوا وَجَاهَدُوا مَعَكُمْ فَأُوْلَائِكَ مِنْكُمْ  ۚ  وَأُوْلُوا الأَرْحَامِ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلَى بِبَعْض ٍ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ  ۗ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيم ٌ
