'Alif-Lām-Mīm َ003-001 Alif Lâm Mîm. أَلِف-لَام-مِيم
Al-Lahu Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa Al-Ĥayyu Al-Qayyūmu َ003-002 Allâh is He. There is no other, cannot be and will never be One worthy of worship but He. He is the Living, the Self- Subsisting and All- Sustaining. اللَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ~َ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ
Nazzala `Alayka Al-Kitāba Bil-Ĥaqqi Muşaddiqāan Limā Bayna Yadayhi Wa 'Anzala At-Tawrāata Wa Al-'Injīla َ003-003 He has revealed to you gradually this perfect Book (- the Qur´ân) which meets all your requirements, fulfilling that (prophecies in the Scriptures) which preceded it and which still remain. He revealed the Torah and the Evangel, نَزَّلَ عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ مُصَدِّقا ً لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَأَنْزَلَ التَّوْرَاةَ وَالإِنْجِيلَ
Min Qablu Hudáan Lilnnāsi Wa 'Anzala Al-Furqāna  ۗ  'Inna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Bi'āyāti Al-Lahi Lahum `Adhābun Shadīdun Wa  ۗ  Allāhu `Azīzun Dhū Antiqāmin َ003-004 Before this, as a guidance of the people. And He has revealed (the Qur´ân as) the Criterion of judgment (between truth and falsehood). Those who deny the revelations of Allâh there surely awaits them a severe punishment. Mighty is Allâh, the Lord of Retribution. مِنْ قَبْلُ هُدى ً لِلنَّاسِ وَأَنْزَلَ الْفُرْقَانَ  ۗ  إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ لَهُمْ عَذَاب ٌ شَدِيد ٌ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ عَزِيز ٌ ذُو انْتِقَام ٍ
'Inna Al-Laha Lā Yakhfá `Alayhi Shay'un Al-'Arđi Wa Lā Fī As-Samā'i َ003-005 As to Allâh, verily nothing in this earth nor in the space above is hidden (from His view). إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَخْفَى عَلَيْهِ شَيْء ٌ فِي الأَرْضِ وَلاَ فِي السَّمَاءِ
Huwa Al-Ladhī Yuşawwirukum Al-'Arĥāmi Kayfa Yashā'u  ۚ  Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa Al-`Azīzu Al-Ĥakīmu َ003-006 He it is Who fashions you in the wombs as He will. There is no other, cannot be and will never be One worthy of worship but He, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. هُوَ الَّذِي يُصَوِّرُكُمْ فِي الأَرْحَامِ كَيْفَ يَشَاءُ  ۚ  لاَ إِلَهَ~َ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ
Huwa Al-Ladhī 'Anzala `Alayka Al-Kitāba Minhu 'Āyātun Muĥkamātun Hunna 'Ummu Al-Kitābi Wa 'Ukharu Mutashābihātun  ۖ  Fa'ammā Al-Ladhīna Fī Qulūbihim Zayghun Fayattabi`ūna Mā Tashābaha Minhu Abtighā'a Al-Fitnati Wa Abtighā'a Ta'wīlihi  ۗ  Wa Mā Ya`lamu Ta'wīlahu 'Illā Al-Lahu Wa  ۗ  Ar-Rāsikhūna Fī Al-`Ilmi Yaqūlūna 'Āmannā Bihi Kullun Min `Indi Rabbinā  ۗ  Wa Mā Yadhdhakkaru 'Illā 'Ū Al-'Albābi َ003-007 He it is Who has revealed to you this perfect Book, some of its verses are definite and decisive. They are the basic root (conveying the established meanings) of the Book (- Ummal Kitâb) and other (verses) are susceptible to various interpretations. As for those in whose hearts is perversity follow (verses) that are susceptible to different interpretations, seeking (to cause) dissension and seeking an interpretation (of their own choice). But no one knows its true interpretation except Allâh, and those who are firmly grounded in knowledge. They say, `We believe in it, it is all (- the basic and decisive verses as well as the allegorical ones) from our Lord.´ And none takes heed except those endowed with pure and clear understanding. هُوَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلَ عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ مِنْهُ آيَات ٌ مُحْكَمَاتٌ هُنَّ أُمُّ الْكِتَابِ وَأُخَرُ مُتَشَابِهَات ٌ  ۖ  فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ زَيْغ ٌ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ مَا تَشَابَه ََ مِنْهُ ابْتِغَاءَ الْفِتْنَةِ وَابْتِغَاءَ تَأْوِيلِه ِِ  ۗ  وَمَا يَعْلَمُ تَأْوِيلَهُ~ُ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ  ۗ  وَالرَّاسِخُونَ فِي الْعِلْمِ يَقُولُونَ آمَنَّا بِه ِِ كُلّ ٌ مِنْ عِنْدِ رَبِّنَا  ۗ  وَمَا يَذَّكَّرُ إِلاَّ أُوْلُوا الأَلْبَابِ
Rabbanā Lā Tuzigh Qulūbanā Ba`da 'Idh Hadaytanā Wa Hab Lanā Min Ladunka Raĥmatan  ۚ  'Innaka 'Anta Al-Wahhābu َ003-008 `Our Lord!´, (they pray,) `Let not our hearts become perverse after You have guided us, and grant us from Your Own Self special mercy, for You alone are the Most Liberal Bestower. رَبَّنَا لاَ تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَة ً  ۚ  إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ
Rabbanā 'Innaka Jāmi`u An-Nāsi Liyawmin Lā Rayba Fīhi  ۚ  'Inna Al-Laha Lā Yukhlifu Al-Mī`āda َ003-009 `Our Lord! You are invariably going to assemble all mankind on the Day about (the advent of) which there is no doubt. Surely, Allâh never breaks His word.´ رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ جَامِعُ النَّاسِ لِيَوْم ٍ لاَ رَيْبَ فِيهِ~ِ  ۚ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Lan Tughniya `Anhum 'Amwāluhum Wa Lā 'Awlāduhum Mina Al-Lahi Shay'āan  ۖ  Wa 'Ūlā'ika Hum Wa Qūdu An-Nāri َ003-010 As to those who disbelieve, neither their possessions, nor their children shall avail them at all against (the punishment of) Allâh; and it is they that will be the fuel of the Fire. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَنْ تُغْنِيَ عَنْهُمْ أَمْوَالُهُمْ وَلاَ أَوْلاَدُهُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئا ً  ۖ  وَأُوْلَائِكَ هُمْ وَقُودُ النَّارِ
Kada'bi 'Āli Fir`awna Wa Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim  ۚ  Kadhdhabū Bi'āyātinā Fa'akhadhahumu Al-Lahu Bidhunūbihim Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Shadīdu Al-`Iqābi َ003-011 (Their conduct is) like the conduct of the followers of Pharaoh and those before them. They cried lies to Our Messages, so that Allâh took them to task for their sins. Allâh is Severe in retribution. كَدَأْبِ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ وَالَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ  ۚ  كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا فَأَخَذَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ
Qul Lilladhīna Kafarū Satughlabūna Wa Tuĥsharūna 'Ilá Jahannama  ۚ  Wa Bi'sa Al-Mihādu َ003-012 Say to those who disbelieve, `You shall soon be overcome and gathered together to be driven towards Gehenna. What an evil abode it is!´ قُلْ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا سَتُغْلَبُونَ وَتُحْشَرُونَ إِلَى جَهَنَّمَ  ۚ  وَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ
Qad Kāna Lakum 'Āyatun Fī Fi'atayni At-Taqatā  ۖ  Fi'atun Tuqātilu Fī Sabīli Al-Lahi Wa 'Ukhrá Kāfiratun Yarawnahum Mithlayhim Ra'ya Al-`Ayni Wa  ۚ  Allāhu Yu'uayyidu Binaşrihi Man Yashā'u  ۗ  'Inna Fī Dhālika La`ibratan Li'wlī Al-'Abşāri َ003-013 There has already been for you a remarkable sign in the two armies that encountered each other (- in the Battle of Badr). (Behold!) one army is fighting in the cause of Allâh and the other is (an army of) disbelievers, whom they (- the Muslims) saw with their naked eyes twice as many (and not thrice as the actual figure was so that the believers did not lose their hearts). And Allâh strengthens with His help whomsoever He will. Verily, in this is a lesson for those who have eyes. قَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ آيَة ٌ فِي فِئَتَيْنِ الْتَقَتَا  ۖ  فِئَة ٌ تُقَاتِلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَأُخْرَى كَافِرَة ٌ يَرَوْنَهُمْ مِثْلَيْهِمْ رَأْيَ الْعَيْنِ  ۚ  وَاللَّهُ يُؤَيِّدُ بِنَصْرِه ِِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ  ۗ  إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَعِبْرَة ً لِأوْلِي الأَبْصَارِ
Zuyyina Lilnnāsi Ĥubbu Ash-Shahawāti Mina An-Nisā' Wa Al-Banīna Wa Al-Qanāţīri Al-Muqanţarati Mina Adh-Dhahabi Wa Al-Fiđđati Wa Al-Khayli Al-Musawwamati Wa Al-'An`āmi Wa Al-Ĥarthi  ۗ  Dhālika Matā`u Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa  ۖ  Allāhu `Indahu Ĥusnu Al-Ma'ābi َ003-014 It has been made fairseeming to the people the love of the desired things comprising women, sons, stored up heaps of gold and silver, well-bred horses, cattle and tilth. That is the provision of the present life. Whereas with Allâh is the fairest goal (of life). زُيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ الشَّهَوَاتِ مِنَ النِسَاء وَالْبَنِينَ وَالْقَنَاطِيرِ الْمُقَنْطَرَةِ مِنَ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَالْخَيْلِ الْمُسَوَّمَةِ وَالأَنعَامِ وَالْحَرْثِ  ۗ  ذَلِكَ مَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا  ۖ  وَاللَّهُ عِنْدَه ُُ حُسْنُ الْمَآبِ
Qul 'A'uunabbi'ukum Bikhayrin Min Dhālikum  ۚ  Lilladhīna Attaqaw `Inda Rabbihim Jannātun Tajrī Min Taĥtihā Al-'Anhāru Khālidīna Fīhā Wa 'Azwājun Muţahharatun Wa Riđwānun Mina Al-Lahi Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Başīrun Bil-`Ibādi َ003-015 Say, `Shall I inform you of something better than these? There are with their Lord Gardens served with running streams for those who become secure against evil. There they shall abide for ever, and (there will be the righteous) companions perfectly purified and (above all they will enjoy) the good pleasure of Allâh.´ And Allâh is Mindful of (His) servants, قُلْ أَؤُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِخَيْر ٍ مِنْ ذَلِكُمْ  ۚ  لِلَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّات ٌ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَأَزْوَاج ٌ مُطَهَّرَة ٌ وَرِضْوَان ٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ بَصِير ٌ بِالْعِبَادِ
Al-Ladhīna Yaqūlūna Rabbanā 'Innanā 'Āmannā Fāghfir Lanā Dhunūbanā Wa Qinā `Adhāba An-Nāri َ003-016 Who say, `Our Lord! we have certainly believed, therefore protect us against (the consequences of) our sins and save us from the punishment of the Fire.´ الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا إِنَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Aş-Şābirīna Wa Aş-Şādiqīna Wa Al-Qānitīna Wa Al-Munfiqīna Wa Al-Mustaghfirīna Bil-'Asĥāri َ003-017 (And those who are) the patiently persevering, the truthful and the obedient, and those who spend (liberally in the cause of Allâh) and the implorers of Divine protection in the latter part of the night (and from the core of their hearts). الصَّابِرِينَ وَالصَّادِقِينَ وَالْقَانِتِينَ وَالْمُنْفِقِينَ وَالْمُسْتَغْفِرِينَ بِالأَسْحَارِ
Shahida Al-Lahu 'Annahu Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa Wa Al-Malā'ikatu Wa 'Ū Al-`Ilmi Qā'imāan Bil-Qisţi  ۚ  Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa Al-`Azīzu Al-Ĥakīmu َ003-018 Allâh bears witness that there is no other, cannot be and will never be One worthy of worship but He, and (so do) the angels and those possessed of true knowledge, maintaining justice. There is no other, cannot be and will never be One worthy of worship but He, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. شَهِدَ اللَّهُ أَنَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ~َ إِلاَّ هُوَ وَالْمَلاَئِكَةُ وَأُوْلُوا الْعِلْمِ قَائِما ً بِالْقِسْطِ  ۚ  لاَ إِلَهَ~َ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ
'Inna Ad-Dīna `Inda Al-Lahi Al-'Islāmu  ۗ  Wa Mā Akhtalafa Al-Ladhīna 'Ū Al-Kitāba 'Illā Min Ba`di Mā Jā'ahumu Al-`Ilmu Baghyāan Baynahum  ۗ  Wa Man Yakfur Bi'āyāti Al-Lahi Fa'inna Al-Laha Sarī`u Al-Ĥisābi َ003-019 Decidedly, the true Faith acceptable to Allâh is Islam. Those who were given the Scripture were not at variance except after the knowledge had come to them; (their differences were) due to mutual envy and to spite one another. And whoso denies the Messages of Allâh (should bear in mind that) then Allâh indeed is Quick at reckoning. إِنَّ الدِّينَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ الإِسْلاَمُ  ۗ  وَمَا اخْتَلَفَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ إِلاَّ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَهُمُ الْعِلْمُ بَغْيا ً بَيْنَهُمْ  ۗ  وَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ
Fa'in Ĥājjūka Faqul 'Aslamtu Wajhiya Lillahi Wa Mani Attaba`ani Wa Qul  ۗ  Lilladhīna 'Ū Al-Kitāba Wa Al-'Ummīyīna 'A'aslamtum Fa'in  ۚ  'Aslamū Faqadi Ahtadaw Wa 'In  ۖ  Tawallaw Fa'innamā `Alayka Al-Balāghu Wa Allāhu  ۗ  Başīrun Bil-`Ibādi َ003-020 But if they dispute with you say, `I have completely submitted myself to (the will and guidance of) Allâh and (so have) those who follow me.´ And say to those who had been given the Scripture and to the unlettered, `Have you also submitted yourselves?´ Indeed, they will be following true guidance if they submit themselves (to the will of God). But if they turn back then your responsibility is only to convey (the message). Allâh is Ever Watchful of His servants. فَإِنْ حَاجُّوكَ فَقُلْ أَسْلَمْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّهِ وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَنِ  ۗ  وَقُلْ لِلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ وَالأُمِّيِّينَ أَأَسْلَمْتُمْ  ۚ  فَإِنْ أَسْلَمُوا فَقَدِ اهْتَدَوا  ۖ  وَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ الْبَلاَغُ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ بَصِير ٌ بِالْعِبَادِ
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Yakfurūna Bi'āyāti Al-Lahi Wa Yaqtulūna An-Nabīyīna Bighayri Ĥaqqin Wa Yaqtulūna Al-Ladhīna Ya'murūna Bil-Qisţi Mina An-Nāsi Fabashshirhum Bi`adhābin 'Alīmin َ003-021 Surely, those who deny the Messages of Allâh and seek to kill the Prophets without a just cause and slay those among the people who enjoin equity and justice, announce to them a grievous punishment. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ النَّبِيِّينَ بِغَيْرِ حَقّ ٍ وَيَقْتُلُونَ الَّذِينَ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْقِسْطِ مِنَ النَّاسِ فَبَشِّرْهُمْ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيم ٍ
'Ūlā'ika Al-Ladhīna Ĥabiţat 'A`māluhum Ad-Dunyā Wa Al-'Ākhirati Wa Mā Lahum Min Nāşirīna َ003-022 It is they whose deeds go in vain in this world and in the Hereafter, and they shall have none to help them. أُوْلَائِكَ الَّذِينَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَمَا لَهُمْ مِنْ نَاصِرِينَ
'Alam Tara 'Ilá Al-Ladhīna 'Ūtū Naşībāan Mina Al-Kitābi Yud`awna 'Ilá Kitābi Al-Lahi Liyaĥkuma Baynahum Thumma Yatawallá Farīqun Minhum Wa Hum Mu`rūna َ003-023 Have you not considered (the case of) those who were given a portion of the Scripture? When they are called to the Book of Allâh (the Qur´ân) that it may judge between them, yet a party of them turn away in sheer aversion. أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا نَصِيبا ً مِنَ الْكِتَابِ يُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى كِتَابِ اللَّهِ لِيَحْكُمَ بَيْنَهُمْ ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّى فَرِيق ٌ مِنْهُمْ وَهُمْ مُعْرِضُونَ
Dhālika Bi'annahum Qālū Lan Tamassanā An-Nāru 'Illā 'Ayyāmāan Ma`dūdātin  ۖ  Wa Gharrahum Fī Dīnihim Mā Kānū Yaftarūna َ003-024 They do so because they say, `The Fire will not (even) brush us except for a limited number of days.´ (Their own lies) that they used to forge have deluded them in the matter of their faith. ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا لَنْ تَمَسَّنَا النَّارُ إِلاَّ أَيَّاما ً مَعْدُودَات ٍ  ۖ  وَغَرَّهُمْ فِي دِينِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ
Fakayfa 'Idhā Jama`nāhum Liyawmin Lā Rayba Fīhi Wa Wuffiyat Kullu Nafsin Mā Kasabat Wa Hum Lā Yužlamūna َ003-025 Then how (will they fare) when We gather them together for the Day about (the advent of) which there is no doubt, and (when) every soul shall be paid in full for what it has accomplished, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly. فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جَمَعْنَاهُمْ لِيَوْم ٍ لاَ رَيْبَ فِيه ِِ وَوُفِّيَتْ كُلُّ نَفْس ٍ مَا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لاَ يُظْلَمُونَ
Quli Al-Lahumma Mālika Al-Mulki Tu'utī Al-Mulka Man Tashā'u Wa Tanzi`u Al-Mulka Mimman Tashā'u Wa Tu`izzu Man Tashā'u Wa Tudhillu Man Tashā'u  ۖ  Biyadika Al-Khayru  ۖ  'Innaka `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun َ003-026 Say, `O Allâh! the Lord of all power, You grant power to whomsoever You will and take away power from whomsoever You please, and confer honour and dignity on whomsoever You will and disgrace whomsoever You will. All good lies in Your hand. Verily, You are the Possessor of full power to do all You will, قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ مَالِكَ الْمُلْكِ تُؤْتِي الْمُلْكَ مَنْ تَشَاءُ وَتَنْزِعُ الْمُلْكَ مِمَّنْ تَشَاءُ وَتُعِزُّ مَنْ تَشَاءُ وَتُذِلُّ مَنْ تَشَاءُ  ۖ  بِيَدِكَ الْخَيْرُ  ۖ  إِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ قَدِير ٌ
Tūliju Al-Layla Fī An-Nahāri Wa Tūliju An-Nahāra Fī Al-Layli  ۖ  Wa Tukhriju Al-Ĥayya Mina Al-Mayyiti Wa Tukhriju Al-Mayyita Mina Al-Ĥayyi  ۖ  Wa Tarzuqu Man Tashā'u Bighayri Ĥisābin َ003-027 `You cause the night to merge into the day and cause the day to merge into the night, and bring forth the living from the dead and bring forth the dead from the living, and provide (all sorts of provisions) to whomsoever You will without measure.´ تُولِجُ اللَّيْلَ فِي النَّهَارِ وَتُولِجُ النَّهَارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ  ۖ  وَتُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَتُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتَ مِنَ الْحَيِّ  ۖ  وَتَرْزُقُ مَنْ تَشَاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَاب ٍ
Lā Yattakhidhi Al-Mu'uminūna Al-Kāfirīna 'Awliyā'a Min Dūni Al-Mu'uminīna  ۖ  Wa Man Yaf`al Dhālika Falaysa Mina Al-Lahi Fī Shay'in 'Illā 'An Tattaqū Minhum Tuqāatan  ۗ  Wa Yuĥadhdhirukumu Al-Lahu Nafsahu  ۗ  Wa 'Ilá Al-Lahi Al-Maşīru َ003-028 Let not the believers take the disbelievers for friends in preference to the believers unless you very carefully guard against evil from them. Indeed he who acts likewise (in a careless manner let him remember) he has nothing to do with Allâh. And Allâh cautions you against His punishment, for to Allâh is the eventual returning. لاَ يَتَّخِذِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ الْكَافِرِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِنْ دُونِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ  ۖ  وَمَنْ يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ فَلَيْسَ مِنَ اللَّهِ فِي شَيْء ٍ إِلاَّ أَنْ تَتَّقُوا مِنْهُمْ تُقَاة ً  ۗ  وَيُحَذِّرُكُمُ اللَّهُ نَفْسَه ُُ  ۗ  وَإِلَى اللَّهِ الْمَصِيرُ
Qul 'In Tukhfū Mā Fī Şudūrikum 'Aw Tubdūhu Ya`lamhu Al-Lahu  ۗ  Wa Ya`lamu Mā Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Mā Fī Al-'Arđi Wa  ۗ  Allāhu `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun َ003-029 Say, `Whether you conceal that which is in your bosoms or whether you reveal it Allâh knows it, and He knows whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. Allâh is the Possessor of full power to do all that He will.´ قُلْ إِنْ تُخْفُوا مَا فِي صُدُورِكُمْ أَوْ تُبْدُوه ُُ يَعْلَمْهُ اللَّهُ  ۗ  وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ قَدِير ٌ
Yawma Tajidu Kullu Nafsin Mā `Amilat Min Khayrin Muĥđarāan Wa Mā `Amilat Min Sū'in Tawaddu Law 'Anna Baynahā Wa Baynahu 'Amadāan Ba`īdāan  ۗ  Wa Yuĥadhdhirukumu Al-Lahu Nafsahu Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Ra'ūfun Bil-`Ibādi َ003-030 (Beware of) the Day when every soul shall be confronted with what good it has done and (similarly) whatever it has done of evil. It (- the soul) will earnestly wish there would be a long distance between it and between that (evil). Allâh cautions you against His punishment. And Allâh is Most Compassionate to His servants. يَوْمَ تَجِدُ كُلُّ نَفْس ٍ مَا عَمِلَتْ مِنْ خَيْر ٍ مُحْضَرا ً وَمَا عَمِلَتْ مِنْ سُوء ٍ تَوَدُّ لَوْ أَنَّ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَهُ~ُ أَمَدا ً بَعِيدا ً  ۗ  وَيُحَذِّرُكُمُ اللَّهُ نَفْسَه ُُ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ رَءُوف ٌ بِالْعِبَادِ
Qul 'In Kuntum Tuĥibbūna Al-Laha Fa Attabi`ūnī Yuĥbibkumu Al-Lahu Wa Yaghfir Lakum Dhunūbakum Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Ghafūrun Raĥīmun َ003-031 Say, `Follow me if you love Allâh, (if you do so) Allâh will love you and grant you protection from your sins. Allâh is Great Protector, Ever Merciful.´ قُلْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ اللَّهَ فَاتَّبِعُونِي يُحْبِبْكُمُ اللَّهُ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ غَفُور ٌ رَحِيم ٌ
Qul 'Aţī`ū Al-Laha Wa Ar-Rasūla  ۖ  Fa'in Tawallaw Fa'inna Al-Laha Lā Yuĥibbu Al-Kāfirīna َ003-032 Say, `Obey Allâh and this Perfect Messenger,´ but if they turn away then (remember that) Allâh does not love the disbelievers. قُلْ أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ  ۖ  فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ
'Inna Al-Laha Aşţafá 'Ādama Wa Nūĥāan Wa 'Āla 'Ibrāhīma Wa 'Āla `Imrān `Alá Al-`Ālamīna َ003-033 Truly, Allâh chose Adam, Noah, the family of Abraham and the family of Amran above all peoples of the time. إِنَّ اللَّهَ اصْطَفَى آدَمَ وَنُوحا ً وَآلَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَآلَ عِمرَان عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ
Dhurrīyatan Ba`đuhā Min Ba`đin Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Samī`un `Alīmun َ003-034 (They are) a lineage co-related with one another. Allâh is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. ذُرِّيَّة ً بَعْضُهَا مِنْ بَعْض ٍ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيم ٌ
'Idh Qālati Amra'atu `Imrāna Rabbi 'Innī Nadhartu Laka Mā Fī Baţnī Muĥarrarāan Fataqabbal Minnī  ۖ  'Innaka 'Anta As-Samī`u Al-`Alīmu َ003-035 (Allâh listened) when a woman of (the family of) Amran said, `My Lord! I do hereby vow to You what is in my womb to be dedicated (to Your service); so do accept (it) of me. You alone are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.´ إِذْ قَالَتِ امْرَأَةُ عِمْرَانَ رَبِّ إِنِّي نَذَرْتُ لَكَ مَا فِي بَطْنِي مُحَرَّرا ً فَتَقَبَّلْ مِنِّي  ۖ  إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
Falammā Wađa`at/hā Qālat Rabbi 'Innī Wađa`tuhā 'Unthá Wa Allāhu 'A`lamu Bimā Wađa`at Wa Laysa Adh-Dhakaru Kāl'unthá  ۖ  Wa 'Innī Sammaytuhā Maryama Wa 'Innī 'U`īdhuhā Bika Wa Dhurrīyatahā Mina Ash-Shayţāni Ar-Rajīmi َ003-036 But when she gave birth to it she said, `My Lord! I have given birth to a female.´ Allâh knew best what she had given birth to, and the male (she was thinking of) was not like this female (she had brought forth). `I have named her Mary and I do commend her to Your protection and (also) her offspring (to be saved) from satan, the accursed.´ فَلَمَّا وَضَعَتْهَا قَالَتْ رَبِّ إِنِّي وَضَعْتُهَا أُنْثَى وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا وَضَعَتْ وَلَيْسَ الذَّكَرُ كَالأُنْثَى  ۖ  وَإِنِّي سَمَّيْتُهَا مَرْيَمَ وَإِنِّي أُعِيذُهَا بِكَ وَذُرِّيَّتَهَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
Fataqabbalahā Rabbuhā Biqabūlin Ĥasanin Wa 'Anbatahā Nabātāan Ĥasanāan Wa Kaffalahā Zakarīyā  ۖ  Kullamā Dakhala `Alayhā Zakarīyā Al-Miĥrāba Wajada `Indahā Rizqāan  ۖ  Qāla Yā Maryamu 'Anná Laki Hādhā  ۖ  Qālat Huwa Min `Indi Al-Lahi  ۖ  'Inna Al-Laha Yarzuqu Man Yashā'u Bighayri Ĥisābin َ003-037 So her Lord accepted her (- Mary) with a gracious acceptance and made her grow into an excellent form and assigned her to the care of Zachariah. Every time Zachariah visited her in the chamber he found with her provisions. He said, `From where do you get all this, O Mary?´ She replied (with all conscientiousness), `It is from Allâh.´ Verily, Allâh provides whomsoever He will without measure. فَتَقَبَّلَهَا رَبُّهَا بِقَبُولٍ حَسَن ٍ وَأَنْبَتَهَا نَبَاتاً حَسَنا ً وَكَفَّلَهَا زَكَرِيَّا  ۖ  كُلَّمَا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا زَكَرِيَّا الْمِحْرَابَ وَجَدَ عِنْدَهَا رِزْقا ً  ۖ  قَالَ يَا مَرْيَمُ أَنَّى لَكِ هَذَا  ۖ  قَالَتْ هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ  ۖ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَرْزُقُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَاب ٍ
Hunālika Da`ā Zakarīyā Rabbahu  ۖ  Qāla Rabbi Hab Lī Min Ladunka Dhurrīyatan Ţayyibatan  ۖ  'Innaka Samī`u Ad-Du`ā'i َ003-038 Then and there did Zachariah pray to his Lord saying, `My Lord! grant me, by Your Own grace, pure and pious descendant, You alone are indeed the Hearer of prayers.´ هُنَالِكَ دَعَا زَكَرِيَّا رَبَّه ُُ  ۖ  قَالَ رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ ذُرِّيَّة ً طَيِّبَة ً  ۖ  إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ
Fanādat/hu Al-Malā'ikatu Wa Huwa Qā'imun Yuşallī Fī Al-Miĥrābi 'Anna Al-Laha Yubashshiruka Biyaĥyá Muşaddiqāan Bikalimatin Mina Al-Lahi Wa Sayyidāan Wa Ĥaşūrāan Wa Nabīyāan Mina Aş-Şāliĥīna َ003-039 So the angels called to him as he stood praying in the Sanctuary, `Allâh bears you the glad tidings of John, who shall confirm the word of God and who shall be noble, utterly chaste, a Prophet from among the righteous.´ فَنَادَتْهُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ وَهُوَ قَائِم ٌ يُصَلِّي فِي الْمِحْرَابِ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يُبَشِّرُكَ بِيَحْيَى مُصَدِّقا ً بِكَلِمَة ٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَسَيِّدا ً وَحَصُورا ً وَنَبِيّا ً مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
Qāla Rabbi 'Anná Yakūnu Lī Ghulāmun Wa Qad Balaghaniya Al-Kibaru Wa Amra'atī `Āqirun  ۖ  Qāla Kadhālika Al-Lahu Yaf`alu Mā Yashā'u َ003-040 `Lord!´ he said, `How shall I have a son now that old age has already come upon me and my wife is barren?´ (The Lord) said, `Such are the ways of Allâh, He does what He will.´ قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّى يَكُونُ لِي غُلاَم ٌ وَقَدْ بَلَغَنِيَ الْكِبَرُ وَامْرَأَتِي عَاقِر ٌ  ۖ  قَالَ كَذَلِكَ اللَّهُ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَاءُ
Qāla Rabbi Aj`al Lī 'Āyatan  ۖ  Qāla 'Āyatuka 'Allā Tukallima An-Nāsa Thalāthata 'Ayyāmin 'Illā Ramzāan  ۗ  Wa Adhkur Rabbaka Kathīrāan Wa Sabbiĥ Bil-`Ashīyi Wa Al-'Ibkāri َ003-041 He said, `My Lord! give me some instruction.´ (The Lord) said, `The instruction for you is that you shall not speak to the people for three days (and nights) except by gestures, and remember your Lord a good deal and glorify (Him) in the evening and early (in the) morning.´ قَالَ رَبِّ اجْعَلْ لِي آيَة ً  ۖ  قَالَ آيَتُكَ أَلاَّ تُكَلِّمَ النَّاسَ ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّام ٍ إِلاَّ رَمْزا ً  ۗ  وَاذْكُرْ رَبَّكَ كَثِيرا ً وَسَبِّحْ بِالْعَشِيِّ وَالإِبْكَارِ
Wa 'Idh Qālati Al-Malā'ikatu Yā Maryamu 'Inna Al-Laha Aşţafāki Wa Ţahharaki Wa Aşţafāki `Alá Nisā'i Al-`Ālamīna َ003-042 (Recall the time) when the angels said, `O Mary! surely Allâh has chosen you and has rid you of all impurities and has preferred you to the women of all (contemporary) people. وَإِذْ قَالَتِ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ يَا مَرْيَمُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ اصْطَفَاكِ وَطَهَّرَكِ وَاصْطَفَاكِ عَلَى نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ
Yā Maryamu Aqnutī Lirabbiki Wa Asjudī Wa Arka`ī Ma`a Ar-Rāki`īna َ003-043 `O Mary! be devout to your Lord and prostrate yourself and bow along with the congregation of the worshippers of God.´ يَا مَرْيَمُ اقْنُتِي لِرَبِّكِ وَاسْجُدِي وَارْكَعِي مَعَ الرَّاكِعِينَ
Dhālika Min 'Nbā'i Al-Ghaybi Nūĥīhi 'Ilayka  ۚ  Wa Mā Kunta Ladayhim 'Idh Yulqūna 'Aqlāmahum 'Ayyuhum Yakfulu Maryama Wa Mā Kunta Ladayhim 'Idh Yakhtaşimūna َ003-044 These are some of the important accounts of the things unseen We have revealed to you. You were not present with them when they (- the priests) cast their quills (to decide) as to which of them should have Mary in his charge (to arrange her marriage); and you were not with them when they (- the exalted assembly of the angels) were engaged in a discussion (over the issue of Muhammad being entrusted with the Divine mission). ذَلِكَ مِنْ أنْبَاءِ الْغَيْبِ نُوحِيهِ~ِ إِلَيْكَ  ۚ  وَمَا كُنْتَ لَدَيْهِمْ إِذْ يُلْقُونَ أَقْلاَمَهُمْ أَيُّهُمْ يَكْفُلُ مَرْيَمَ وَمَا كُنْتَ لَدَيْهِمْ إِذْ يَخْتَصِمُونَ
'Idh Qālati Al-Malā'ikatu Yā Maryamu 'Inna Al-Laha Yubashshiruki Bikalimatin Minhu Asmuhu Al-Masīĥu `Īsá Abnu Maryama Wajīhāan Ad-Dunyā Wa Al-'Ākhirati Wa Mina Al-Muqarrabīna َ003-045 (Recall the time) when the angels said, `O Mary! Allâh gives you good tidings through a (prophetic) word from Him (about the birth of a son) whose name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, (he shall be) worthy of regard in this world and in the Hereafter and one of the nearest ones (to Him), إِذْ قَالَتِ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ يَامَرْيَمُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُبَشِّرُكِ بِكَلِمَة ٍ مِنْهُ اسْمُهُ الْمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ وَجِيها ً فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ
Wa Yukallimu An-Nāsa Fī Al-Mahdi Wa Kahlāan Wa Mina Aş-Şāliĥīna َ003-046 `And he will speak to the people when in the cradle (- as a child) and when of old age, and shall be of the righteous.´ وَيُكَلِّمُ النَّاسَ فِي الْمَهْدِ وَكَهْلا ً وَمِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
Qālat Rabbi 'Anná Yakūnu Lī Waladun Wa Lam Yamsasnī Basharun  ۖ  Qāla Kadhāliki Al-Lahu Yakhluqu Mā Yashā'u  ۚ  'Idhā Qađá 'Amrāan Fa'innamā Yaqūlu Lahu Kun Fayakūnu َ003-047 She said, `My Lord! how can I and whence shall I have a child while no man has yet touched me (in conjugal relationship)?´ (The Lord) said, `Such are the ways of Allâh, He creates what He will. When He decrees a thing He simply commands it, "Be" and it comes to be.´ قَالَتْ رَبِّ أَنَّى يَكُونُ لِي وَلَد ٌ وَلَمْ يَمْسَسْنِي بَشَر ٌ  ۖ  قَالَ كَذَلِكِ اللَّهُ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ  ۚ  إِذَا قَضَى أَمْرا ً فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَه ُُ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ
Wa Yu`allimuhu Al-Kitāba Wa Al-Ĥikmata Wa At-Tawrāata Wa Al-'Injīla َ003-048 (The angels continued), `And He will teach him the art of writing (and reading) and the Wisdom and the Torah and the Evangel. وَيُعَلِّمُهُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَالتَّوْرَاةَ وَالإِنجِيلَ
Wa Rasūlāan 'Ilá Banī 'Isrā'īla 'Annī Qad Ji'tukum Bi'āyatin Min Rabbikum  ۖ  'Annī 'Akhluqu Lakum Mina Aţīni Kahay'ati Aţ-Ţayri Fa'anfukhu Fīhi Fayakūnu Ţayrāan Bi'idhni Al-Lahi  ۖ  Wa 'Ubri'u Al-'Akmaha Wa Al-'Abraşa Wa 'Uĥyi Al-Mawtá Bi'idhni Al-Lahi  ۖ  Wa 'Unabbi'ukum Bimā Ta'kulūna Wa Mā Taddakhirūna Fī Buyūtikum  ۚ  'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyatan Lakum 'In Kuntum Mu'uminyna َ003-049 `And (He will appoint him) a Messenger to the Children of Israel (with the Message), "I have come to you with a sign from your Lord. (I have come so that) I determine for your benefit from clay (a person) after the manner of a bird, then I shall breathe into him (a new spirit) so that he becomes a flier (- a spiritual person) by the authority of Allâh, and I absolve the blind and the leprous, and I quicken the (spiritually) dead by the authority of Allâh, and I inform you as to what you should eat and what you should store in your houses. Behold! these facts will surely serve you as a definite sign if you are believers. وَرَسُولا ً إِلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَنِّي قَدْ جِئْتُكُمْ بِآيَة ٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ  ۖ  أَنِّي أَخْلُقُ لَكُمْ مِنَ الطِّينِ كَهَيْئَةِ الطَّيْرِ فَأَنفُخُ فِيه ِِ فَيَكُونُ طَيْرا ً بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ  ۖ  وَأُبْرِئُ الأَكْمَه ََ وَالأَبْرَصَ وَأُحْيِ الْمَوْتَى بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ  ۖ  وَأُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا تَأْكُلُونَ وَمَا تَدَّخِرُونَ فِي بُيُوتِكُمْ  ۚ  إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً لَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنينَ
Wa Muşaddiqāan Limā Bayna Yadayya Mina At-Tawrāati Wa Li'uĥilla Lakum Ba`đa Al-Ladhī Ĥurrima `Alaykum  ۚ  Wa Ji'tukum Bi'āyatin Min Rabbikum Fa Attaqū Al-Laha Wa 'Aţī`ūni َ003-050 And (I come) confirming that which is before me, namely the Torah, and that I declare lawful for you some of the things that had been forbidden to you. I come to you with a sign from your Lord, so take Allâh as a shield and obey me. وَمُصَدِّقا ً لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَلِأُحِلَّ لَكُمْ بَعْضَ الَّذِي حُرِّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ  ۚ  وَجِئْتُكُمْ بِآيَة ٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
'Inna Al-Laha Rabbī Wa Rabbukum Fā`budūhu  ۗ  Hādhā Şirāţun Mustaqīmun َ003-051 Surely, Allâh is my Lord as well as your Lord, therefore worship Him; this is the right path.´ إِنَّ اللَّهَ رَبِّي وَرَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُوه ُُ  ۗ  هَذَا صِرَاط ٌ مُسْتَقِيم ٌ
Falammā 'Aĥassa `Īsá Minhumu Al-Kufra Qāla Man 'Anşārī 'Ilá Al-Lahi  ۖ  Qāla Al-Ĥawārīyūna Naĥnu 'Anşāru Al-Lahi 'Āmannā Bil-Lahi Wa Ash/had Bi'annā Muslimūna َ003-052 But when Jesus felt disbelief on their part (and thought his people would renounce him,) he said, `Who are my helpers (in calling the people) towards Allâh?´ The disciples said, `We are the helpers (in the cause) of Allâh. We have believed in Allâh. Bear witness that, we are the submitting ones (to His will).´ فَلَمَّا أَحَسَّ عِيسَى مِنْهُمُ الْكُفْرَ قَالَ مَنْ أَنْصَارِي إِلَى اللَّهِ  ۖ  قَالَ الْحَوَارِيُّونَ نَحْنُ أَنْصَارُ اللَّهِ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَاشْهَدْ بِأَنَّا مُسْلِمُونَ
Rabbanā 'Āmannā Bimā 'Anzalta Wa Attaba`nā Ar-Rasūla Fāktubnā Ma`a Ash-Shāhidīna َ003-053 (The disciples then prayed,) `Our Lord! We believe in that which You have revealed and we follow this Messenger, so count us with the witnesses (of the truth).´ رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا بِمَا أَنْزَلْتَ وَاتَّبَعْنَا الرَّسُولَ فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِينَ
Wa Makarū Wa Makara Al-Lahu Wa  ۖ  Allāhu Khayru Al-Mākirīna َ003-054 And they (- the persecutors of Jesus) planned (to crucify him) and Allâh planned (to save him) and Allâh is the best of the planners. وَمَكَرُوا وَمَكَرَ اللَّهُ  ۖ  وَاللَّهُ خَيْرُ الْمَاكِرِينَ
'Idh Qāla Al-Lahu Yā `Īsá 'Innī Mutawaffīka Wa Rāfi`uka 'Ilayya Wa Muţahhiruka Mina Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Wa Jā`ilu Al-Ladhīna Attaba`ūka Fawqa Al-Ladhīna Kafarū 'Ilá Yawmi Al-Qiyā  ۖ  Mati Thumma 'Ilayya Marji`ukum Fa'aĥkumu Baynakum Fīmā Kuntum Fīhi Takhtalifūna َ003-055 (Recall the time) when Allâh said, `O Jesus! I will cause you to die a natural death, and will exalt you to Myself and I will clear you of the unchaste accusations of those who disbelieve. I am going to make your followers prevail over the disbelievers till the Day of Resurrection, then to Me (O people!) shall be your return, and I will judge all your differences. إِذْ قَالَ اللَّهُ يَاعِيسَى إِنِّي مُتَوَفِّيكَ وَرَافِعُكَ إِلَيَّ وَمُطَهِّرُكَ مِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَجَاعِلُ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوكَ فَوْقَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ ثُمَّ  ۖ  إِلَيَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَأَحْكُمُ بَيْنَكُمْ فِيمَا كُنْتُمْ فِيه ِِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ
Fa'ammā Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Fa'u`adhdhibuhum `Adhābāan Shadīdāan Ad-Dunyā Wa Al-'Ākhirati Wa Mā Lahum Min Nāşirīna َ003-056 `Then as for those who disbelieve I will punish them sternly in this world and in the Hereafter and they shall have no helpers. فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فَأُعَذِّبُهُمْ عَذَابا ً شَدِيدا ً فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَمَا لَهُمْ مِنْ نَاصِرِينَ
Wa 'Ammā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Fayuwaffīhim 'Ujūrahum Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Lā Yuĥibbu Až-Žālimīna َ003-057 `As for those who believe and do deeds of righteousness, He will pay them their rewards in full. Allâh loves not the unjust.´ وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَيُوَفِّيهِمْ أُجُورَهُمْ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ لاَ يُحِبُّ الظَّالِمِينَ
Dhālika Natlūhu `Alayka Mina Al-'Āyāti Wa Adh-Dhikri Al-Ĥakīmi َ003-058 That is what We recite to you; the Messages and the Reminder full of wisdom. ذَلِكَ نَتْلُوه ُُ عَلَيْكَ مِنَ الآيَاتِ وَالذِّكْرِ الْحَكِيمِ
'Inna Mathala `Īsá `Inda Al-Lahi Kamathali 'Ādama  ۖ  Khalaqahu Min Turābin Thumma Qāla Lahu Kun Fayakūnu َ003-059 Verily, the case of Jesus is as the case of Adam in the sight of Allâh. He fashioned him out of dust, then He said to him,`Be´, and he came to be. إِنَّ مَثَلَ عِيسَى عِنْدَ اللَّهِ كَمَثَلِ آدَمَ  ۖ  خَلَقَه ُُ مِنْ تُرَاب ٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَه ُُ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ
Al-Ĥaqqu Min Rabbika Falā Takun Mina Al-Mumtarīna َ003-060 (O reader!) this is the real truth from your Lord, hence do not be of the disputers at all (of the facts). الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّكَ فَلاَ تَكُنْ مِنَ الْمُمْتَرِينَ
Faman Ĥājjaka Fīhi Min Ba`di Mā Jā'aka Mina Al-`Ilmi Faqul Ta`ālaw Nad`u 'Abnā'anā Wa 'Abnā'akum Wa Nisā'anā Wa Nisā'akum Wa 'Anfusanā Wa 'Anfusakum Thumma Nabtahil Fanaj`al La`nata Al-Lahi `Alá Al-Kādhibīna َ003-061 Now whoso disputes with you in this matter (of Jesus) after there has come to you true knowledge, then say (to him), `Come let us summon our sons and your sons, our women and your women, and our people and your people, then let us pray fervently one against the other and invoke the disapproval of Allâh upon the liars.´ فَمَنْ حَاجَّكَ فِيه ِِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ فَقُلْ تَعَالَوْا نَدْعُ أَبْنَاءَنَا وَأَبْنَاءَكُمْ وَنِسَاءَنَا وَنِسَاءَكُمْ وَأَنْفُسَنَا وَأَنْفُسَكُمْ ثُمَّ نَبْتَهِلْ فَنَجْعَلْ لَعْنَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْكَاذِبِينَ
'Inna Hādhā Lahuwa Al-Qaşaşu Al-Ĥaqqu  ۚ  Wa Mā Min 'Ilahin 'Illā Al-Lahu  ۚ  Wa 'Inna Al-Laha Lahuwa Al-`Azīzu Al-Ĥakīmu َ003-062 Verily, this (which We have told) is certainly the true account. There is no other, cannot be and will never be One worthy of worship but Allâh; and surely it is Allâh Who is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. إِنَّ هَذَا لَهُوَ الْقَصَصُ الْحَقُّ  ۚ  وَمَا مِنْ إِلَهٍ~ ٍ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ  ۚ  وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ
Fa'in Tawallaw Fa'inna Al-Laha `Alīmun Bil-Mufsidīna َ003-063 But if they turn away, then (remember that) Allâh, of course, knows the mischief-makers. فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيم ٌ بِالْمُفْسِدِينَ
Qul Yā 'Ahla Al-Kitābi Ta`ālaw 'Ilá Kalimatin Sawā'in Baynanā Wa Baynakum 'Allā Na`buda 'Illā Al-Laha Wa Lā Nushrika Bihi Shay'āan Wa Lā Yattakhidha Ba`đunā Ba`đāan 'Arbābāan Min Dūni Al-Lahi  ۚ  Fa'in Tawallaw Faqūlū Ash/hadū Bi'annā Muslimūna َ003-064 Say, `O people of the Scripture! let us agree to a proposition common to us both that we worship none but Allâh and that we associate no partner with Him and that some of us shall not hold others as lords besides Allâh.´ But if they turn away (refusing) say, `Bear witness that we are the only submitting ones (to one God).´ قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ تَعَالَوْا إِلَى كَلِمَة ٍ سَوَاء ٍ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ أَلاَّ نَعْبُدَ إِلاَّ اللَّهَ وَلاَ نُشْرِكَ بِه ِِ شَيْئا ً وَلاَ يَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُنَا بَعْضاً أَرْبَابا ً مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ  ۚ  فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَقُولُوا اشْهَدُوا بِأَنَّا مُسْلِمُونَ
Yā 'Ahla Al-Kitābi Lima Tuĥājjūna Fī 'Ibrāhīma Wa Mā 'Unzilati At-Tawrāatu Wa Al-'Injīlu 'Illā Min Ba`dihi  ۚ  'Afalā Ta`qilūna َ003-065 O people of the Scripture! why do you argue about Abraham while the Torah and the Evangel were not revealed till after him? Have you no sense? يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لِمَ تُحَاجُّونَ فِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمَا أُنْزِلَتِ التَّوْرَاةُ وَالإِنجِيلُ إِلاَّ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ~ِ  ۚ  أَفَلاَ تَعْقِلُونَ
Hā'antum Hā'uulā' Ĥājajtum Fīmā Lakum Bihi `Ilmun Falima Tuĥājjūna Fīmā Laysa Lakum Bihi `Ilmun Wa Allāhu  ۚ  Ya`lamu Wa 'Antum Lā Ta`lamūna َ003-066 Behold! you are such as have argued about that whereof you had a little knowledge, now, why do you argue about that whereof you have no knowledge at all? Indeed, Allâh knows the truth while you do not. هَاأَنْتُمْ هَاؤُلاَء حَاجَجْتُمْ فِيمَا لَكُمْ بِه ِِ عِلْم ٌ فَلِمَ تُحَاجُّونَ فِيمَا لَيْسَ لَكُمْ بِه ِِ عِلْم ٌ وَاللَّهُ  ۚ  يَعْلَمُ وَأَنْتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ
Mā Kāna 'Ibrāhīmu Yahūdīyāan Wa Lā Naşrānīyāan Wa Lakin Kāna Ĥanīfāan Muslimāan Wa Mā Kāna Mina Al-Mushrikīna َ003-067 Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was upright who had submitted (to the will of God), and he was not one of the polytheists. مَا كَانَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ يَهُودِيّا ً وَلاَ نَصْرَانِيّا ً وَلَكِنْ كَانَ حَنِيفا ً مُسْلِما ً وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
'Inna 'Awlá An-Nāsi Bi'ibrāhīma Lalladhīna Attaba`ūhu Wa Hadhā An-Nabīyu Wa Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Wa Līyu Al-Mu'uminīna َ003-068 The people nearest to Abraham are surely those who followed him (in the days of his prophethood) and this Prophet and those who believe (in him). Indeed, Allâh is the Patron of the believers. إِنَّ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِإِبْرَاهِيمَ لَلَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوه ُُ وَهَذَا النَّبِيُّ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ وَلِيُّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Waddat Ţā'ifatun Min 'Ahli Al-Kitābi Law Yuđillūnakum Wa Mā Yuđillūna 'Illā 'Anfusahum Wa Mā Yash`urūn َ003-069 (Believers!) a section of the people of the Scripture would fain lead you astray, but it is only the people like themselves that they lead astray, only they perceive not. وَدَّتْ طَائِفَة ٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لَوْ يُضِلُّونَكُمْ وَمَا يُضِلُّونَ إِلاَّ أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُون
Yā 'Ahla Al-Kitābi Lima Takfurūna Bi'āyāti Al-Lahi Wa 'Antum Tash/hadūna َ003-070 O people of the Scripture! Why do you deny the revelations of Allâh while you are witnessing (their truth)? يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لِمَ تَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَأَنْتُمْ تَشْهَدُونَ
Yā 'Ahla Al-Kitābi Lima Talbisūna Al-Ĥaqqa Bil-Bāţili Wa Taktumūna Al-Ĥaqqa Wa 'Antum Ta`lamūna َ003-071 O people of the Scripture! Why do you confound the truth with falsehood and conceal the truth and that (too) deliberately? يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لِمَ تَلْبِسُونَ الْحَقَّ بِالْبَاطِلِ وَتَكْتُمُونَ الْحَقَّ وَأَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
Wa Qālat Ţā'ifatun Min 'Ahli Al-Kitābi 'Āminū Bial-Ladhī 'Unzila `Alá Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wajha An-Nahāri Wa Akfurū 'Ākhirahu La`allahum Yarji`ūna َ003-072 A section of the people of the Scripture said (to their companions in confidence), `Avow belief in that (- the Qur´ân) which has been revealed to the believers, in the early hours of the day and deny (it) in the latter part of it, so that they (- the newly converted Muslims) may return (to disbelief), وَقَالَتْ طَائِفَة ٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ آمِنُوا بِالَّذِي أُنْزِلَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَجْهَ النَّهَارِ وَاكْفُرُوا آخِرَه ُُ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ
Wa Lā Tu'uminū 'Illā Liman Tabi`a Dīnakum Qul 'Inna Al-Hudá Hudá Al-Lahi 'An Yu'utá 'Aĥadun Mithla Mā 'Ūtītum 'Aw Yuĥājjūkum `Inda Rabbikum  ۗ  Qul 'Inna Al-Fađla Biyadi Al-Lahi Yu'utīhi Man Yashā'u Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Wāsi`un `Alīmun َ003-073 `Yet avow this belief only for the sake of those who follow your creed.´ Say, `Surely, the true guidance is Allâh´s guidance´, (and they also said, `Do not believe,) that anyone will ever be given the like of that (gift of prophethood) which you have been given, or that they will ever be able to prevail upon you in argument before your Lord.´ Say, `Eminence (of prophethood and sovereignty) is entirely in the hands of Allâh. He confers it to whomsoever He will.´ And Allâh is All-Embracing, All-Knowing. وَلاَ تُؤْمِنُوا إِلاَّ لِمَنْ تَبِعَ دِينَكُمْ قُلْ إِنَّ الْهُدَى هُدَى اللَّهِ أَنْ يُؤْتَى أَحَد ٌ مِثْلَ مَا أُوتِيتُمْ أَوْ يُحَاجُّوكُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّكُمْ  ۗ  قُلْ إِنَّ الْفَضْلَ بِيَدِ اللَّهِ يُؤْتِيه ِِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيم ٌ
Yakhtaşşu Biraĥmatihi Man Yashā'u Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Dhū Al-Fađli Al-`Ažīmi َ003-074 Allâh has singled out for His grace (of the bestowal of Divine revelation) one whom He has pleased, for Allâh is the Lord of great eminence. يَخْتَصُّ بِرَحْمَتِه ِِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ
Wa Min 'Ahli Al-Kitābi Man 'In Ta'manhu Biqinţārin Yu'uaddihi 'Ilayka Wa Minhum Man 'In Ta'manhu Bidīnārin Lā Yu'uaddihi 'Ilayka 'Illā Mā Dumta `Alayhi Qā'imāan  ۗ  Dhālika Bi'annahum Qālū Laysa `Alaynā Fī Al-'Ummīyīna Sabīlun Wa Yaqūlūna `Alá Al-Lahi Al-Kadhiba Wa Hum Ya`lamūna َ003-075 And among the people of the Scripture there is he if you trust him with a huge treasure he will surrender it to you; yet there is another among them that if you entrust him with a single dinâr he will not surrender it to you unless you keep on pressing him. They do that because they say, `We are not liable to be called to account in the matter of the unlettered (- not of Jewish race),´ and they tell a lie in the name of Allâh deliberately. وَمِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ مَنْ إِنْ تَأْمَنْهُ بِقِنطَار ٍ يُؤَدِّهِ~ِ إِلَيْكَ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ إِنْ تَأْمَنْهُ بِدِينَار ٍ لاَ يُؤَدِّهِ~ِ إِلَيْكَ إِلاَّ مَا دُمْتَ عَلَيْهِ قَائِما ً  ۗ  ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا لَيْسَ عَلَيْنَا فِي الأُمِّيِّينَ سَبِيل ٌ وَيَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ
Balá Man 'Awfá Bi`ahdihi Wa Attaqá Fa'inna Al-Laha Yuĥibbu Al-Muttaqīna َ003-076 Nay (they will indeed be called to account). Yet whoso discharges his obligations and guards against evil, (he will find that) Allâh, infact, loves those who guard against evil. بَلَى مَنْ أَوْفَى بِعَهْدِه ِِ وَاتَّقَى فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَّقِينَ
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Yashtarūna Bi`ahdi Al-Lahi Wa 'Aymānihim Thamanāan Qalīlāan 'Ūlā'ika Lā Khalāqa Lahum Al-'Ākhirati Wa Lā Yukallimuhumu Al-Lahu Wa Lā Yanžuru 'Ilayhim Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Wa Lā Yuzakkīhim Wa Lahum `Adhābun 'Alīmun َ003-077 (On the contrary) those who take paltry gains for (shaking off their) covenant with Allâh and their oaths, it is these for whom there shall be no big share in the Hereafter, Allâh will never speak to them (lovingly) nor look at them (with affection) on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He treat them as pure; there awaits them a woeful punishment. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَشْتَرُونَ بِعَهْدِ اللَّهِ وَأَيْمَانِهِمْ ثَمَنا ً قَلِيلاً أُوْلَائِكَ لاَ خَلاَقَ لَهُمْ فِي الآخِرَةِ وَلاَ يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللَّهُ وَلاَ يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلاَ يُزَكِّيهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيم ٌ
Wa 'Inna Minhum Lafarīqāan Yalwūna 'Alsinatahum Bil-Kitābi Litaĥsabūhu Mina Al-Kitābi Wa Mā Huwa Mina Al-Kitābi Wa Yaqūlūna Huwa Min `Indi Al-Lahi Wa Mā Huwa Min `Indi Al-Lahi Wa Yaqūlūna `Alá Al-Lahi Al-Kadhiba Wa Hum Ya`lamūna َ003-078 There are some among them who twist their tongues while reciting their Scripture that you may think that (what they recite) is a part of the Scripture, whilst it is no part of the Scripture and they say, `This is from Allâh,´ whereas it is not from Allâh. They tell a lie in the name of Allâh deliberately. وَإِنَّ مِنْهُمْ لَفَرِيقا ً يَلْوُونَ أَلْسِنَتَهُمْ بِالْكِتَابِ لِتَحْسَبُوه ُُ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَيَقُولُونَ هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ وَيَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ
Mā Kāna Libasharin 'An Yu'utiyahu Al-Lahu Al-Kitāba Wa Al-Ĥukma Wa An-Nubūwata Thumma Yaqūla Lilnnāsi Kūnū `Ibādāan Lī Min Dūni Al-Lahi Wa Lakin Kūnū Rabbānīyīna Bimā Kuntum Tu`allimūna Al-Kitāba Wa Bimā Kuntum Tadrusūna َ003-079 It is not given to a human being that Allâh should give him the Book, the sovereignty and the prophethood and then he should say to the people, `Be servants to me beside Allâh.´ He would rather say, `Be you the sole devotees of (Allâh) the Lord, for you teach the Book and because you study (it).´ مَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَنْ يُؤْتِيَهُ اللَّهُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ ثُمَّ يَقُولَ لِلنَّاسِ كُونُوا عِبَادا ً لِي مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلَكِنْ كُونُوا رَبَّانِيِّينَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تُعَلِّمُونَ الْكِتَابَ وَبِمَا كُنتُمْ تَدْرُسُونَ
Wa Lā Ya'murakum 'An Tattakhidhū Al-Malā'ikata Wa An-Nabīyīna 'Arbābāan  ۗ  'Aya'murukum Bil-Kufri Ba`da 'Idh 'Antum Muslimūna َ003-080 Nor would (it be possible for him that) he bid you take the angels and Prophets as your lords. Would he bid you disbelieve after you have submitted yourselves (to the will of God)? وَلاَ يَأْمُرَكُمْ أَنْ تَتَّخِذُوا الْمَلاَئِكَةَ وَالنَّبِيِّينَ أَرْبَاباً  ۗ  أَيَأْمُرُكُمْ بِالْكُفْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ أَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ
Wa 'Idh 'Akhadha Al-Lahu Mīthāqa An-Nabīyīna Lamā 'Ātaytukum Min Kitābin Wa Ĥikmatin Thumma Jā'akum Rasūlun Muşaddiqun Limā Ma`akum Latu'uminunna Bihi Wa Latanşurunnahu  ۚ  Qāla 'A'aqrartum Wa 'Akhadhtum `Alá Dhālikum 'Işrī  ۖ  Qālū 'Aqrarnā  ۚ  Qāla Fāsh/hadū Wa 'Anā Ma`akum Mina Ash-Shāhidīna َ003-081 (Recall the time) when Allâh bound (the people) to a covenant through the Prophets (saying), `Indeed, whatever I have vouchsafed to you of the Book and the Wisdom, and then there comes to you a Messenger fulfilling that which is with you, you shall surely believe in him and have to help him.´ (The Lord further) said, `Do you agree and do you undertake the heavy responsibility of My covenant on these (terms)?´ They said, `We do agree.´ (God) said, `Bear witness to it and I am with you among the witnesses.´ وَإِذْ أَخَذَ اللَّهُ مِيثَاقَ النَّبِيِّينَ لَمَا آتَيْتُكُمْ مِنْ كِتَاب ٍ وَحِكْمَة ٍ ثُمَّ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُول ٌ مُصَدِّق ٌ لِمَا مَعَكُمْ لَتُؤْمِنُنَّ بِه ِِ وَلَتَنْصُرُنَّه ُُ  ۚ  قَالَ أَأَقْرَرْتُمْ وَأَخَذْتُمْ عَلَى ذَلِكُمْ إِصْرِي  ۖ  قَالُوا أَقْرَرْنَا  ۚ  قَالَ فَاشْهَدُوا وَأَنَا مَعَكُمْ مِنَ الشَّاهِدِينَ
Faman Tawallá Ba`da Dhālika Fa'ūlā'ika Humu Al-Fāsiqūna َ003-082 Now those who turn away (and break their pledge) after this, will be the real transgressors. فَمَنْ تَوَلَّى بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَأُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ
'Afaghayra Dīni Al-Lahi Yabghūna Wa Lahu 'Aslama Man As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Ţaw`āan Wa Karhāan Wa 'Ilayhi Yurja`ūna َ003-083 Do they then seek a creed other than Allâh´s while all those that are in the heavens and on the earth submit to Him willingly or unwillingly, and to Him they shall be made to return? أَفَغَيْرَ دِينِ اللَّهِ يَبْغُونَ وَلَهُ~ُ أَسْلَمَ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ طَوْعا ً وَكَرْها ً وَإِلَيْهِ يُرْجَعُونَ
Qul 'Āmannā Bil-Lahi Wa Mā 'Unzila `Alaynā Wa Mā 'Unzila `Alá 'Ibrāhīma Wa 'Ismā`īla Wa 'Isĥāqa Wa Ya`qūba Wa Al-'Asbāţi Wa Mā 'Ūtiya Mūsá Wa `Īsá Wa An-Nabīyūna Min Rabbihim Lā Nufarriqu Bayna 'Aĥadin Minhum Wa Naĥnu Lahu Muslimūna َ003-084 Say, `We believe in Allâh and in that which has been revealed to us and in that which was revealed to Abraham and Ismâîl and Isaac and Jacob and his children and in that which was given to Moses and Jesus and to all other Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between anyone of them (in believing them) and to Him alone do we submit.´ قُلْ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْنَا وَمَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَالأَسْبَاطِ وَمَا أُوتِيَ مُوسَى وَعِيسَى وَالنَّبِيُّونَ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ لاَ نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَد ٍ مِنْهُمْ وَنَحْنُ لَه ُُ مُسْلِمُونَ
Wa Man Yabtaghi Ghayra Al-'Islāmi Dīnāan Falan Yuqbala Minhu Wa Huwa Fī Al-'Ākhirati Mina Al-Khāsirīna َ003-085 And whosoever seeks a faith other than Islam (- complete submission to the will of God,) it will never be accepted from him, and he shall be of the losers in the Hereafter. وَمَنْ يَبْتَغِ غَيْرَ الإِسْلاَمِ دِينا ً فَلَنْ يُقْبَلَ مِنْهُ وَهُوَ فِي الآخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ
Kayfa Yahdī Al-Lahu Qawmāan Kafarū Ba`da 'Īmānihim Wa Shahidū 'Anna Ar-Rasūla Ĥaqqun Wa Jā'ahumu Al-Bayyinātu Wa  ۚ  Allāhu Lā Yahdī Al-Qawma Až-Žālimīna َ003-086 How is Allâh to guide a people who renounce their faith after having accepted it and after testifying to the truth of the Messenger and after clear and sound proofs had come to them? And Allâh never guides a people who cannot discriminate between right and wrong. كَيْفَ يَهْدِي اللَّهُ قَوْما ً كَفَرُوا بَعْدَ إِيمَانِهِمْ وَشَهِدُوا أَنَّ الرَّسُولَ حَقّ ٌ وَجَاءَهُمُ الْبَيِّنَاتُ  ۚ  وَاللَّهُ لاَ يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ
'Ūlā'ika Jazā'uuhum 'Anna `Alayhim La`nata Al-Lahi Wa Al-Malā'ikati Wa An-Nāsi 'Ajma`īna َ003-087 It is these whose recompense is that the disapproval of Allâh shall be upon them, and that of the angels and of mankind, all together. أُوْلَائِكَ جَزَاؤُهُمْ أَنَّ عَلَيْهِمْ لَعْنَةَ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلاَئِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ
Khālidīna Fīhā Lā Yukhaffafu `Anhumu Al-`Adhābu Wa Lā Hum Yunžarūna َ003-088 They shall abide there for long, their punishment shall not be reduced, nor shall they be reprieved; خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا لاَ يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابُ وَلاَ هُمْ يُنْظَرُونَ
'Illā Al-Ladhīna Tābū Min Ba`di Dhālika Wa 'Aşlaĥū Fa'inna Al-Laha Ghafūrun Raĥīmun َ003-089 Except those who repent after this and make amends, (such will find that) surely Allâh is Great Protector, Ever Merciful. إِلاَّ الَّذِينَ تَابُوا مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ وَأَصْلَحُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُور ٌ رَحِيم ٌ
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Ba`da 'Īmānihim Thumma Azdādū Kufrāan Lan Tuqbala Tawbatuhum Wa 'Ūlā'ika Humu Ađ-Đāllūna َ003-090 Verily, those who chose disbelief after they had believed and then go on increasing in disbelief, their repentance shall not be accepted and these are the people who are completely lost. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بَعْدَ إِيمَانِهِمْ ثُمَّ ازْدَادُوا كُفْرا ً لَنْ تُقْبَلَ تَوْبَتُهُمْ وَأُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الضَّالُّونَ
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Wa Mātū Wa Hum Kuffārun Falan Yuqbala Min 'Aĥadihim Mil'u Al-'Arđi Dhahabāan Wa Law Aftadá Bihi  ۗ  'Ūlā'ika Lahum `Adhābun 'Alīmun Wa Mā Lahum Min Nāşirīna َ003-091 Verily, as to those who have disbelieved and die while they are disbelievers, there shall not be accepted from anyone of them (even) an earthful of gold if he would ransom himself thereby. There awaits them a woeful punishment, they shall have no helpers (either). إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَمَاتُوا وَهُمْ كُفَّار ٌ فَلَنْ يُقْبَلَ مِنْ أَحَدِهِمْ مِلْءُ الأَرْضِ ذَهَبا ً وَلَوْ افْتَدَى بِهِ~ِ  ۗ  أُوْلَائِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيم ٌ وَمَا لَهُمْ مِنْ نَاصِرِينَ
Lan Tanālū Al-Birra Ĥattá Tunfiqū Mimmā Tuĥibbūna  ۚ  Wa Mā Tunfiqū Min Shay'in Fa'inna Al-Laha Bihi `Alīmun َ003-092 Never shall you attain the highest state of virtue unless you spend (in the cause of Allâh) out of that which you love; and whatever you spend, Allâh, indeed, knows it well. لَنْ تَنَالُوا الْبِرَّ حَتَّى تُنْفِقُوا مِمَّا تُحِبُّونَ  ۚ  وَمَا تُنْفِقُوا مِنْ شَيْء ٍ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ بِه ِِ عَلِيم ٌ
Kullu Aţ-Ţa`āmi Kāna Ĥillāan Libanī 'Isrā'īla 'Illā Mā Ĥarrama 'Isrā'īlu `Alá Nafsihi Min Qabli 'An Tunazzala At-Tawrāatu  ۗ  Qul Fa'tū Bit-Tawrāati Fātlūhā 'In Kuntum Şādiqīna َ003-093 All the (pure) food (which is lawful in Islam) was lawful for the Children of Israel except what Israel forbade himself before the advent of Torah. Say, `Bring then the Torah and read it, if you are right (in your assertions).´ كُلُّ الطَّعَامِ كَانَ حِلّا ً لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ إِلاَّ مَا حَرَّمَ إِسْرَائِيلُ عَلَى نَفْسِه ِِ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ تُنَزَّلَ التَّوْرَاةُ  ۗ  قُلْ فَأْتُوا بِالتَّوْرَاةِ فَاتْلُوهَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
Famani Aftará `Alá Al-Lahi Al-Kadhiba Min Ba`di Dhālika Fa'ūlā'ika Humu Až-Žālimūna َ003-094 Now, whoso forges a lie against Allâh after that, it is they who are the unjust. فَمَنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللَّهِ الكَذِبَ مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ فَأُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ
Qul Şadaqa Al-Lahu Fa  ۗ  Attabi`ū Millata 'Ibrāhīma Ĥanīfāan Wa Mā Kāna Mina Al-Mushrikīna َ003-095 Say, `(Now that it has been proved that) Allâh has declared the truth, therefore follow the creed of Abraham, the upright, and he was not of the polytheists. قُلْ صَدَقَ اللَّهُ  ۗ  فَاتَّبِعُوا مِلَّةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفا ً وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
'Inna 'Awwala Baytin Wuđi`a Lilnnāsi Lalladhī Bibakkata Mubārakāan Wa Hudáan Lil`ālamīna َ003-096 Verily, the first House founded for the good of mankind is the one at Bakkah (- the valley of Makkah). (It is the House) full of blessings and a means of guidance for all the peoples. إِنَّ أَوَّلَ بَيْت ٍ وُضِعَ لِلنَّاسِ لَلَّذِي بِبَكَّةَ مُبَارَكا ً وَهُدى ً لِلْعَالَمِينَ
Fīhi 'Āyātun Bayyinātun Maqāmu 'Ibrāhīma  ۖ  Wa Man Dakhalahu Kāna 'Āmināan  ۗ  Wa Lillahi `Alá An-Nāsi Ĥijju Al-Bayti Mani Astaţā`a 'Ilayhi Sabīlāan  ۚ  Wa Man Kafara Fa'inna Al-Laha Ghanīyun `Ani Al-`Ālamīna َ003-097 Therein are clear Memorials: (The first is) the Place where Abraham stood for prayers (- Maqâm Ibrahîm); (secondly,) whosoever enters it (- the valley of Bakkah) is in a state of peace and security; (thirdly,) Pilgrimage to the House (- Ka`bah) is due to Allâh from everyone of mankind who is (physically, financially and in many other ways) able and has the means to make the journey thereto. And whosoever disobeys (let him remember that) Allâh is Independent of the worlds. فِيهِ آيَات ٌ بَيِّنَات ٌ مَقَامُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ  ۖ  وَمَنْ دَخَلَه ُُ كَانَ آمِنا ً  ۗ  وَلِلَّهِ عَلَى النَّاسِ حِجُّ الْبَيْتِ مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلا ً  ۚ  وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنِ الْعَالَمِينَ
Qul Yā 'Ahla Al-Kitābi Lima Takfurūna Bi'āyāti Al-Lahi Wa Allāhu Shahīdun `Alá Mā Ta`malūna َ003-098 Say, `O you people of the Scripture! Why do you deny the Messages of Allâh, while Allâh is Witness to all that you do.´ قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لِمَ تَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ شَهِيدٌ عَلَى مَا تَعْمَلُونَ
Qul Yā 'Ahla Al-Kitābi Lima Taşuddūna `An Sabīli Al-Lahi Man 'Āmana Tabghūnahā `Iwajāan Wa 'Antum Shuhadā'u  ۗ  Wa Mā Al-Lahu Bighāfilin `Ammā Ta`malūna َ003-099 Say, `O people of the Scripture! Why do you hinder him who believes, from (following) the path of Allâh? You try to seek crookedness in it, while you yourselves are witnesses (to its truth). And Allâh is not at all unmindful of what you do.´ قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لِمَ تَصُدُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ مَنْ آمَنَ تَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجا ً وَأَنْتُمْ شُهَدَاءُ  ۗ  وَمَا اللَّهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ
Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū 'In Tuţī`ū Farīqāan Mina Al-Ladhīna 'Ū Al-Kitāba Yaruddūkum Ba`da 'Īmānikum Kāfirīna َ003-100 O you who believe! If you obey a section of those who have been given the Scripture, they will turn you back into disbelievers after your having believed. يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنْ تُطِيعُوا فَرِيقا ً مِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ يَرُدُّوكُمْ بَعْدَ إِيمَانِكُمْ كَافِرِينَ
Wa Kayfa Takfurūna Wa 'Antum Tutlá `Alaykum 'Āyātu Al-Lahi Wa Fīkum Rasūluhu  ۗ  Wa Man Ya`taşim Bil-Lahi Faqad Hudiya 'Ilá Şirāţin Mustaqīmin َ003-101 And how would you disbelieve while the Messages of Allâh are rehearsed to you, and His Messenger is present in your midst. And whosoever holds fast to Allâh is indeed guided on to the exact right path. وَكَيْفَ تَكْفُرُونَ وَأَنْتُمْ تُتْلَى عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتُ اللَّهِ وَفِيكُمْ رَسُولُه ُُ  ۗ  وَمَنْ يَعْتَصِمْ بِاللَّهِ فَقَدْ هُدِيَ إِلَى صِرَاط ٍ مُسْتَقِيم ٍ
Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Attaqū Al-Laha Ĥaqqa Tuqātihi Wa Lā Tamūtunna 'Illā Wa 'Antum Muslimūna َ003-102 O you who believe! Observe your duty to Allâh as it ought to be observed, and let not death overtake you unless you be in a state of complete submission (to your Lord). يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِه ِِ وَلاَ تَمُوتُنَّ إِلاَّ وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ
Wa A`taşimū Biĥabli Al-Lahi Jamī`āan Wa Lā Tafarraqū  ۚ  Wa Adhkurū Ni`mata Al-Lahi `Alaykum 'Idh Kuntum 'A`dā'an Fa'allafa Bayna Qulūbikum Fa'aşbaĥtum Bini`matihi 'Ikhwānāan Wa Kuntum `Alá Shafā Ĥufratin Mina An-Nāri Fa'anqadhakum Minhā  ۗ  Kadhālika Yubayyinu Al-Lahu Lakum 'Āyātihi La`allakum Tahtadūna َ003-103 Hold fast to the means of access to Allâh all together, and do not be disunited, and remember Allâh´s favours to you, when you were enemies one to another. He united your hearts in love so that by His grace you became brethren. And you were on the brink of a pit of fire, He saved you therefrom. Thus does Allâh explain to you His Messages that you may be guided aright. وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِحَبْلِ اللَّهِ جَمِيعا ً وَلاَ تَفَرَّقُوا  ۚ  وَاذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ كُنْتُمْ أَعْدَاء ً فَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُمْ بِنِعْمَتِهِ~ِ إِخْوَانا ً وَكُنْتُمْ عَلَى شَفَا حُفْرَة ٍ مِنَ النَّارِ فَأَنْقَذَكُمْ مِنْهَا  ۗ  كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ آيَاتِه ِِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ
Wa Ltakun Minkum 'Ummatun Yad`ūna 'Ilá Al-Khayri Wa Ya'murūna Bil-Ma`rūfi Wa Yanhawna `Ani Al-Munkari  ۚ  Wa 'Ūlā'ika Humu Al-Mufliĥūna َ003-104 And let there always be a community (of such people) among you who should call people to goodness and enjoin equity and forbid evil. It is these who shall attain to their goal. وَلْتَكُنْ مِنْكُمْ أُمَّة ٌ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى الْخَيْرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ  ۚ  وَأُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ
Wa Lā Takūnū Kālladhīna Tafarraqū Wa Akhtalafū Min Ba`di Mā Jā'ahumu Al-Bayyinātu  ۚ  Wa 'Ūlā'ika Lahum `Adhābun `Ažīmun َ003-105 And do not be like those who were disunited and fell into variance after clear proofs had come to them. It is these for whom a great punishment awaits. وَلاَ تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ تَفَرَّقُوا وَاخْتَلَفُوا مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَهُمُ الْبَيِّنَاتُ  ۚ  وَأُوْلَائِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيم ٌ
Yawma Tabyađđu Wujūhun Wa Taswaddu Wujūhun  ۚ  Fa'ammā Al-Ladhīna Aswaddat Wujūhuhum 'Akafartum Ba`da 'Īmānikum Fadhūqū Al-`Adhāba Bimā Kuntum Takfurūna َ003-106 On the day when some faces shall be lit up by happiness and some faces shall be clouded because of sorrow. (It will be said to) those whose faces are clouded, `Is it not (true) that you disbelieved after your belief? Taste now, the punishment because you disbelieved.´ يَوْمَ تَبْيَضُّ وُجُوه ٌ ٌ وَتَسْوَدُّ وُجُوه ٌ ٌ  ۚ  فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ اسْوَدَّتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ أَكَفَرْتُمْ بَعْدَ إِيمَانِكُمْ فَذُوقُوا الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ
Wa 'Ammā Al-Ladhīna Abyađđat Wujūhuhum Fafī Raĥmati Al-Lahi Hum Fīhā Khālidūna َ003-107 And as for those whose faces shall be lit up, they shall come under the mercy of Allâh, and in it they shall abide for ever. وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ ابْيَضَّتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ فَفِي رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ
Tilka 'Āyātu Al-Lahi Natlūhā `Alayka Bil-Ĥaqqi  ۗ  Wa Mā Al-Lahu Yurīdu Žulmāan Lil`ālamīna َ003-108 Such are the revelations of Allâh comprising the truth. We rehearse them to you. And Allâh means no injustice to (any of His) creatures. تِلْكَ آيَاتُ اللَّهِ نَتْلُوهَا عَلَيْكَ بِالْحَقِّ  ۗ  وَمَا اللَّهُ يُرِيدُ ظُلْما ً لِلْعَالَمِينَ
Wa Lillahi Mā Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Mā Fī Al-'Arđi  ۚ  Wa 'Ilá Al-Lahi Turja`u Al-'Umūru َ003-109 And to Allâh belongs whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and all matters stand referred to Allâh. وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ  ۚ  وَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ الأُمُورُ
Kuntum Khayra 'Ummatin 'Ukhrijat Lilnnāsi Ta'murūna Bil-Ma`rūfi Wa Tanhawna `Ani Al-Munkari Wa Tu'uminūna Bil-Lahi  ۗ  Wa Law 'Āmana 'Ahlu Al-Kitābi Lakāna Khayrāan Lahum  ۚ  Minhumu Al-Mu'uminūna Wa 'Aktharuhumu Al-Fāsiqūna َ003-110 You are the noblest people raised up for the good of mankind. You enjoin equity and forbid evil, and you believe truly in Allâh. Had the people of the Scripture (also) believed, it would surely have been best for them. Some of them are believers, yet most of them are disobedient. كُنْتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ تَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ  ۗ  وَلَوْ آمَنَ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ لَكَانَ خَيْرا ً لَهُمْ  ۚ  مِنْهُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ
Lan Yađurrūkum 'Illā 'Adháan  ۖ  Wa 'In Yuqātilūkum Yuwallūkumu Al-'Adbāra Thumma Lā Yunşarūna َ003-111 They shall do you no harm except a trifling hurt, and if they fight you, they will show you their backs (and flee), they shall never be helped then. لَنْ يَضُرُّوكُمْ إِلاَّ أَذى ً  ۖ  وَإِنْ يُقَاتِلُوكُمْ يُوَلُّوكُمُ الأَدْبَارَ ثُمَّ لاَ يُنْصَرُونَ
Đuribat `Alayhimu Adh-Dhillatu 'Ayna Mā Thuqifū 'Illā Biĥablin Mina Al-Lahi Wa Ĥablin Mina An-Nāsi Wa Bā'ū Bighađabin Mina Al-Lahi Wa Đuribat `Alayhimu Al-Maskanatu  ۚ  Dhālika Bi'annahum Kānū Yakfurūna Bi'āyāti Al-Lahi Wa Yaqtulūna Al-'Anbiyā'a Bighayri Ĥaqqin  ۚ  Dhālika Bimā `Aşaw Wa Kānū Ya`tadūna َ003-112 Smitten are they with ignominy wherever they are found unless they have a bond (of protection) from Allâh, or a bond (of security) from the people. They have incurred the displeasure of Allâh and have been condemned to humiliation. That is so because they would disbelieve in the Messages of Allâh and would seek to kill the Prophets without any just cause. And that is so because they rebelled and had been transgressing as usual. ضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الذِّلَّةُ أَيْنَ مَا ثُقِفُوا إِلاَّ بِحَبْل ٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَحَبْل ٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَبَاءُوا بِغَضَب ٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْمَسْكَنَةُ  ۚ  ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ الأَنبِيَاءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقّ ٍ  ۚ  ذَلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوْا وَكَانُوا يَعْتَدُونَ
Laysū Sawā'an  ۗ  Min 'Ahli Al-Kitābi 'Ummatun Qā'imatun Yatlūna 'Āyāti Al-Lahi 'Ānā'a Al-Layli Wa Hum Yasjudūna َ003-113 They (- the people of the Scripture) are not all alike. Among these people of the Scripture there are some upright people. They rehearse the Message of Allâh in the hours of the night and they prostrate themselves (in His worship). لَيْسُوا سَوَاء ً  ۗ  مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ أُمَّة ٌ قَائِمَة ٌ يَتْلُونَ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَهُمْ يَسْجُدُونَ
Yu'uminūna Bil-Lahi Wa Al-Yawmi Al-'Ākhiri Wa Ya'murūna Bil-Ma`rūfi Wa Yanhawna `Ani Al-Munkari Wa Yusāri`ūna Fī Al-Khayrāti Wa 'Ūlā'ika Mina Aş-Şāliĥīna َ003-114 They believe in Allâh and the Last Day and enjoin good and forbid evil, and they vie one with another in (doing) good deeds. And it is these who are of the truly righteous. يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَيُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ وَأُوْلَائِكَ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
Wa Mā Yaf`alū Min Khayrin Falan Yukfarūhu Wa  ۗ  Allāhu `Alīmun Bil-Muttaqīna َ003-115 And whatever good they do, they shall not be denied its due recognition. And Allâh knows well those who guard against evil. وَمَا يَفْعَلُوا مِنْ خَيْر ٍ فَلَنْ يُكْفَرُوه ُُ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ عَلِيم ٌ بِالْمُتَّقِينَ
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Lan Tughniya `Anhum 'Amwāluhum Wa Lā 'Awlāduhum Mina Al-Lahi Shay'āan  ۖ  Wa 'Ūlā'ika 'Aşĥābu An-Nāri  ۚ  Hum Fīhā Khālidūna َ003-116 Verily, as to those who disbelieve, neither their possessions nor their children shall avail them aught against (the punishment of) Allâh. And it is they who are the fellows of the Fire, therein shall they live long. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَنْ تُغْنِيَ عَنْهُمْ أَمْوَالُهُمْ وَلاَ أَوْلاَدُهُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئا ً  ۖ  وَأُوْلَائِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ  ۚ  هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ
Mathalu Mā Yunfiqūna Fī Hadhihi Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Kamathali Rīĥin Fīhā Şirrun 'Aşābat Ĥartha Qawmin Žalamū 'Anfusahum Fa'ahlakat/hu  ۚ  Wa Mā Žalamahumu Al-Lahu Wa Lakin 'Anfusahum Yažlimūna َ003-117 That which they spend for the present life bears likeness with the wind wherein is freezing cold which smites the tilth of the people who have done injustice to themselves, so it destroys it. Allâh does no injustice to them but they wrong themselves. مَثَلُ مَا يُنْفِقُونَ فِي هَذِهِ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا كَمَثَلِ رِيح ٍ فِيهَا صِرٌّ أَصَابَتْ حَرْثَ قَوْم ٍ ظَلَمُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ فَأَهْلَكَتْهُ  ۚ  وَمَا ظَلَمَهُمُ اللَّهُ وَلَكِنْ أَنْفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ
Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Lā Tattakhidhū Biţānatan Min Dūnikum Lā Ya'lūnakum Khabālāan Wa Ddū Mā `Anittum Qad Badati Al-Baghđā'u Min 'Afwāhihim Wa Mā Tukhfī Şudūruhum 'Akbaru  ۚ  Qad Bayyannā Lakumu Al-'Āyāti  ۖ  'In Kuntum Ta`qilūna َ003-118 O you who believe! Do not hold other people as confidants of your secrets to the exclusion of your own (honest) folk. Such people shall not be remiss to corrupt you; they love all that by which you get into trouble. Gross hatred has already expressed itself through (the utterances of) their mouths and what their hearts conceal is far worse. Now We have explained the Messages fully to you if you would only understand. يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لاَ تَتَّخِذُوا بِطَانَة ً مِنْ دُونِكُمْ لاَ يَأْلُونَكُمْ خَبَالا ً وَدُّوا مَا عَنِتُّمْ قَدْ بَدَتِ الْبَغْضَاءُ مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَمَا تُخْفِي صُدُورُهُمْ أَكْبَرُ  ۚ  قَدْ بَيَّنَّا لَكُمُ الآيَاتِ  ۖ  إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
Hā'antum 'Ūlā'i Tuĥibbūnahum Wa Lā Yuĥibbūnakum Wa Tu'uminūna Bil-Kitābi Kullihi Wa 'Idhā Laqūkum Qālū 'Āmannā Wa 'Idhā Khalaw `Ađđū `Alaykumu Al-'Anāmila Mina Al-Ghayži Qul  ۚ  Mūtū Bighayžikum 'Inna  ۗ  Al-Laha `Alīmun Bidhāti Aş-Şudūri َ003-119 Behold! You are those who love them while they do not love you, though you believe in every (Divine) Book, in the whole of it. And when they meet you they say, `We believe,´ and when they are alone they bite their finger-tips out of rage against you. Say, `Perish in your rage. Surely, Allâh knows the inmost secrets of your hearts.´ هَاأَنْتُمْ أُوْلاَءِ تُحِبُّونَهُمْ وَلاَ يُحِبُّونَكُمْ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْكِتَابِ كُلِّه ِِ وَإِذَا لَقُوكُمْ قَالُوا آمَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلَوْا عَضُّوا عَلَيْكُمُ الأَنَامِلَ مِنَ الغَيْظِ قُلْ  ۚ  مُوتُوا بِغَيْظِكُمْ إِنَّ  ۗ  اللَّهَ عَلِيم ٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ
'In Tamsaskum Ĥasanatun Tasu'uhum Wa 'In Tuşibkum Sayyi'atun Yafraĥū Bihā  ۖ  Wa 'In Taşbirū Wa Tattaqū Lā Yađurrukum Kayduhum Shay'āan  ۗ  'Inna Al-Laha Bimā Ya`malūna Muĥīţun َ003-120 If anything good contacts you, it hurts them, but if an evil afflicts you, they rejoice thereat. However, if you patiently persevere and ward off evil, their machination will do you no harm at all. Verily, Allâh encompasses all their activities. إِنْ تَمْسَسْكُمْ حَسَنَة ٌ تَسُؤْهُمْ وَإِنْ تُصِبْكُمْ سَيِّئَة ٌ يَفْرَحُوا بِهَا  ۖ  وَإِنْ تَصْبِرُوا وَتَتَّقُوا لاَ يَضُرُّكُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْئا ً  ۗ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيط ٌ
Wa 'Idh Ghadawta Min 'Ahlika Tubawwi'u Al-Mu'uminīna Maqā`ida Lilqitāli Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Samī`un `Alīmun َ003-121 And (recall the time) when you (O Prophet!) went forth early in the morning from your family assigning to the believers their battle-posts (in the Battle of Uhud). And Allâh is All- Hearing, All-Knowing. وَإِذْ غَدَوْتَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ تُبَوِّئُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مَقَاعِدَ لِلْقِتَالِ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيم ٌ
'Idh Hammat Ţā'ifatāni Minkum 'An Tafshalā Wa Allāhu Walīyuhumā  ۗ  Wa `Alá Al-Lahi Falyatawakkali Al-Mu'uminūna َ003-122 When two groups from among you (- the two clans of Banû Hârithah and Banû Salamah) were disposed to show cowardliness. And Allâh was the Protecting friend of them both, and in Allâh the believers should put their trust. إِذْ هَمَّتْ طَائِفَتَانِ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ تَفْشَلاَ وَاللَّهُ وَلِيُّهُمَا  ۗ  وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ
Wa Laqad Naşarakumu Al-Lahu Bibadrin Wa 'Antum 'Adhillatun Fa  ۖ  Attaqū Al-Laha La`allakum Tashkurūna َ003-123 Surely, Allâh had already helped you at (the Battle of) Badr while you were utterly weak, therefore take Allâh as a shield so that (He may bless you and) you may give Him thanks. وَلَقَدْ نَصَرَكُمُ اللَّهُ بِبَدْر ٍ وَأَنْتُمْ أَذِلَّة ٌ  ۖ  فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
'Idh Taqūlu Lilmu'uminīna 'Alan Yakfiyakum 'An Yumiddakum Rabbukum Bithalāthati 'Ālāfin Mina Al-Malā'ikati Munzalīna َ003-124 (Recall the time) when you said to the believers, `Does it not suffice you that your Lord should reinforce you with three thousand angels sent down (by Him)? إِذْ تَقُولُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَلَنْ يَكْفِيَكُمْ أَنْ يُمِدَّكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ بِثَلاَثَةِ آلاَف ٍ مِنَ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ مُنْزَلِينَ
Balá  ۚ  'In Taşbirū Wa Tattaqū Wa Ya'tūkum Min Fawrihimdhā Yumdidkum Rabbukum Bikhamsati 'Ālāfin Mina Al-Malā'ikati Musawwimīna َ003-125 `Indeed (it does); and if you patiently persevere and guard against evil and they (- the enemies) come upon you suddenly and in hot haste of theirs, your Lord will reinforce you with five thousand swooping and havoc-making angels.´ بَلَى  ۚ  إِنْ تَصْبِرُوا وَتَتَّقُوا وَيَأْتُوكُمْ مِنْ فَوْرِهِمْ هَذَا يُمْدِدْكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ بِخَمْسَةِ آلاَف ٍ مِنَ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ مُسَوِّمِينَ
Wa Mā Ja`alahu Al-Lahu 'Illā Bushrá Lakum Wa Litaţma'inna Qulūbukum Bihi  ۗ  Wa Mā An-Naşru 'Illā Min `Indi Al-Lahi Al-`Azīzi Al-Ĥakīmi َ003-126 And Allâh meant not this (help by the angels) except as good tidings (of victory) for you, and to set your hearts at ease therewith. There is no real help and victory except from Allâh alone, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. وَمَا جَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ إِلاَّ بُشْرَى لَكُمْ وَلِتَطْمَئِنَّ قُلُوبُكُمْ بِه ِِ  ۗ  وَمَا النَّصْرُ إِلاَّ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَكِيمِ
Liyaqţa`a Ţarafāan Mina Al-Ladhīna Kafarū 'Aw Yakbitahum Fayanqalibū Khā'ibīna َ003-127 (God will do accordingly at Uhud) with the result that He may cut of a section of those who disbelieve and their leaders and vanquish others with humiliation so that they might go back utterly frustrated. لِيَقْطَعَ طَرَفا ً مِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَوْ يَكْبِتَهُمْ فَيَنْقَلِبُوا خَائِبِينَ
Laysa Laka Mina Al-'Amri Shay'un 'Aw Yatūba `Alayhim 'Aw Yu`adhdhibahum Fa'innahum Žālimūna َ003-128 (O Prophet!) You have no say whatsoever in the matter, (it is upto Him alone) whether He turns towards them with mercy or punishes them because they are certainly wrongdoers. لَيْسَ لَكَ مِنَ الأَمْرِ شَيْءٌ أَوْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَوْ يُعَذِّبَهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ
Wa Lillahi Mā Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Mā Fī Al-'Arđi  ۚ  Yaghfiru Liman Yashā'u Wa Yu`adhdhibu Man Yashā'u Wa  ۚ  Allāhu Ghafūrun Raĥīmun َ003-129 And to Allâh belongs whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. He protects (against sins) whom He will and punishes whom He will. Allâh is Great Protector, Ever Merciful. وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ  ۚ  يَغْفِرُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ  ۚ  وَاللَّهُ غَفُور ٌ رَحِيم ٌ
Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Lā Ta'kulū Ar-Ribā 'Ađ`āfāan Muđā`afatan  ۖ  Wa Attaqū Al-Laha La`allakum Tufliĥūna َ003-130 O you who believe! do not practise usury and interest involving multiple additions, and keep your duty to Allâh and take Him as a shield so that you may prosper. يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لاَ تَأْكُلُوا الرِّبَا أَضْعَافا ً مُضَاعَفَة ً  ۖ  وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
Wa Attaqū An-Nāra Allatī 'U`iddat Lilkāfirīna َ003-131 Be on your guard against the Fire which has been prepared for the disbelievers. وَاتَّقُوا النَّارَ الَّتِي أُعِدَّتْ لِلْكَافِرِينَ
Wa 'Aţī`ū Al-Laha Wa Ar-Rasūla La`allakum Turĥamūna َ003-132 And obey Allâh and this Messenger that you may be shown mercy. وَأَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
Wa Sāri`ū 'Ilá Maghfiratin Min Rabbikum Wa Jannatin `Arđuhā As-Samāwātu Wa Al-'Arđu 'U`iddat Lilmuttaqīna َ003-133 Wing your way to the protection of your Lord and to the Paradise whose expanse is as (vast as) the heavens and the earth. It is prepared for those who become secure against evil; وَسَارِعُوا إِلَى مَغْفِرَة ٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالأَرْضُ أُعِدَّتْ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
Al-Ladhīna Yunfiqūna Fī As-Sarrā'i Wa Ađ-Đarrā'i Wa Al-Kāžimīna Al-Ghayža Wa Al-`Āfīna `Ani An-Nāsi Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Yuĥibbu Al-Muĥsinīna َ003-134 Those who spend (in the cause of Allâh) in prosperity and adversity and those who suppress anger and pardon (the offences of) the people. And Allâh loves such doers of good to others, الَّذِينَ يُنْفِقُونَ فِي السَّرَّاءِ وَالضَّرَّاءِ وَالْكَاظِمِينَ الْغَيْظَ وَالْعَافِينَ عَنِ النَّاسِ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
Wa Al-Ladhīna 'Idhā Fa`alū Fāĥishatan 'Aw Žalamū 'Anfusahum Dhakarū Al-Laha Fāstaghfarū Lidhunūbihim Wa Man Yaghfiru Adh-Dhunūba 'Illā Al-Lahu Wa Lam Yuşirrū `Alá Mā Fa`alū Wa Hum Ya`lamūna َ003-135 And those who when they commit any act of indecency or do injustice to themselves remember Allâh and implore (Him for) protection against their sins - and who can protect against sins except Allâh? - And they do not deliberately persist in doing wrong. وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا فَعَلُوا فَاحِشَةً أَوْ ظَلَمُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ ذَكَرُوا اللَّهَ فَاسْتَغْفَرُوا لِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَمَنْ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَلَمْ يُصِرُّوا عَلَى مَا فَعَلُوا وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ
'Ūlā'ika Jazā'uuhum Maghfiratun Min Rabbihim Wa Jannātun Tajrī Min Taĥtihā Al-'Anhāru Khālidīna Fīhā  ۚ  Wa Ni`ma 'Ajru Al-`Āmilīna َ003-136 It is these whose reward is protection from their Lord, and Gardens served with running streams, therein they shall live for ever. How excellent is the reward of the painstaking (in the right direction). أُوْلَائِكَ جَزَاؤُهُمْ مَغْفِرَة ٌ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ وَجَنَّات ٌ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا  ۚ  وَنِعْمَ أَجْرُ الْعَامِلِينَ
Qad Khalat Min Qablikum Sunanun Fasīrū Fī Al-'Arđi Fānžurū Kayfa Kāna `Āqibatu Al-Mukadhdhibīna َ003-137 Surely, there have been diverse dispensations before you, so travel in the land and see how evil was the fate of those who cried lies (to the Prophets). قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ سُنَن ٌ فَسِيرُوا فِي الأَرْضِ فَانْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ
dhā Bayānun Lilnnāsi Wa Hudáan Wa Maw`ižatun Lilmuttaqīna َ003-138 This (Qur´ân) is a clear exposition (of the truth) for mankind (to follow) and a (means of) guidance, and an exhortation to those who guard against evil (and are dutiful to God and mankind). هَذَا بَيَان ٌ لِلنَّاسِ وَهُدى ً وَمَوْعِظَة ٌ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
Wa Lā Tahinū Wa Lā Taĥzanū Wa 'Antumu Al-'A`lawna 'In Kuntum Mu'uminīna َ003-139 Therefore slacken not, nor grieve, and when you are true believers you shall certainly be the triumphant. وَلاَ تَهِنُوا وَلاَ تَحْزَنُوا وَأَنْتُمُ الأَعْلَوْنَ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
'In Yamsaskum Qarĥun Faqad Massa Al-Qawma Qarĥun Mithluhu  ۚ  Wa Tilka Al-'Ayyāmu Nudāwiluhā Bayna An-Nāsi Wa Liya`lama Al-Lahu Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa Yattakhidha Minkum Shuhadā'a Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Lā Yuĥibbu Až-Žālimīna َ003-140 If you have received an outer injury (in the Battle of Uhud), surely, the (disbelieving) people have already received a similar injury (in the same battle) - these days of vicissitudes are those which We cause to alternate among the people, (it is so that you may be admonished) and that (among other things), Allâh may distinguish those who (really) believe and so that He may raise martyrs from among you; and Allâh does not love the unjust. إِنْ يَمْسَسْكُمْ قَرْح ٌ فَقَدْ مَسَّ الْقَوْمَ قَرْح ٌ مِثْلُه ُُ  ۚ  وَتِلْكَ الأَيَّامُ نُدَاوِلُهَا بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَيَتَّخِذَ مِنْكُمْ شُهَدَاءَ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ لاَ يُحِبُّ الظَّالِمِينَ
Wa Liyumaĥĥişa Al-Lahu Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa Yamĥaqa Al-Kāfirīna َ003-141 And (it is) so that Allâh may purge all the impurities of those who (truly) believe and so that He may wipe off the disbelievers gradually. وَلِيُمَحِّصَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَيَمْحَقَ الْكَافِرِينَ
'Am Ĥasibtum 'An Tadkhulū Al-Jannata Wa Lammā Ya`lami Al-Lahu Al-Ladhīna Jāhadū Minkum Wa Ya`lama Aş-Şābirīna َ003-142 Do you suppose that you would enter Paradise while Allâh has not yet distinguished those of you who strive hard (in the cause of Allâh) and has not yet distinguished the patiently persevering. أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَنْ تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَعْلَمِ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا مِنْكُمْ وَيَعْلَمَ الصَّابِرِينَ
Wa Laqad Kuntum Tatamannawn Al-Mawta Min Qabli 'An Talqawhu Faqad Ra'aytumūhu Wa 'Antum Tanžurūna َ003-143 And you used to long for (Jihâd and a martyr´s) death before you met it, but now you have seen it and you will see yet (many more wonders happen). وَلَقَدْ كُنْتُمْ تَتَمَنَّوْن الْمَوْتَ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ تَلْقَوْهُ فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُمُوه ُُ وَأَنْتُمْ تَنْظُرُونَ
Wa Mā Muĥammadun 'Illā Rasūlun Qad Khalat Min Qablihi Ar-Rusulu  ۚ  'Afa'īn Māta 'Aw Qutila Anqalabtum `Alá 'A`qābikum  ۚ  Wa Man Yanqalib `Alá `Aqibayhi Falan Yađurra Al-Laha Shay'āan  ۗ  Wa Sayaj Al-Lahu Ash-Shākirīna َ003-144 And Muhammad is but a Messenger. Surely, all Messengers have passed away before him. Would you recant if he dies or be killed. And he who recants shall do no harm at all to Allâh, and Allâh will certainly reward the grateful. وَمَا مُحَمَّد ٌ إِلاَّ رَسُول ٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ الرُّسُلُ  ۚ  أَفَإِيْن مَاتَ أَوْ قُتِلَ انْقَلَبْتُمْ عَلَى أَعْقَابِكُمْ  ۚ  وَمَنْ يَنْقَلِبْ عَلَى عَقِبَيْهِ فَلَنْ يَضُرَّ اللَّهَ شَيْئا ً  ۗ  وَسَيَجْزِي اللَّهُ الشَّاكِرِينَ
Wa Mā Kāna Linafsin 'An Tamūta 'Illā Bi'idhni Al-Lahi Kitābāan Mu'uajjalāan  ۗ  Wa Man Yurid Thawāba Ad-Dunyā Nu'utihi Minhā Wa Man Yurid Thawāba Al-'Ākhirati Nu'utihi Minhā  ۚ  Wa Sanaj Ash-Shākirīna َ003-145 Nor can a living being die save by the leave of Allâh - a decree with a prescribed term. And he who desires the reward (for his deeds) of this world, We grant him thereof; and he who desires the reward of the Hereafter, We will grant him thereof. And We will certainly reward the grateful. وَمَا كَانَ لِنَفْسٍ أَنْ تَمُوتَ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ كِتَابا ً مُؤَجَّلا ً  ۗ  وَمَنْ يُرِدْ ثَوَابَ الدُّنْيَا نُؤْتِه ِِ مِنْهَا وَمَنْ يُرِدْ ثَوَابَ الآخِرَةِ نُؤْتِه ِِ مِنْهَا  ۚ  وَسَنَجْزِي الشَّاكِرِينَ
Wa Ka'ayyin Min Nabīyin Qātala Ma`ahu Ribbīyūna Kathīrun Famā Wahanū Limā 'Aşābahum Fī Sabīli Al-Lahi Wa Mā Đa`ufū Wa Mā Astakānū Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Yuĥibbu Aş-Şābirīna َ003-146 There has been many a Prophet beside whom many worshippers of the Lord fought. They were neither unnerved on account of all that befell them in the cause of Allâh, nor did they weaken, nor did they show inconsistency (against their adversary). Allâh certainly loves such patiently-persevering ones. وَكَأَيِّنْ مِنْ نَبِيّ ٍ قَاتَلَ مَعَه ُُ رِبِّيُّونَ كَثِير ٌ فَمَا وَهَنُوا لِمَا أَصَابَهُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَمَا ضَعُفُوا وَمَا اسْتَكَانُوا  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الصَّابِرِينَ
Wa Mā Kāna Qawlahum 'Illā 'An Qālū Rabbanā Aghfir Lanā Dhunūbanā Wa 'Isrāfanā Fī 'Amrinā Wa Thabbit 'Aqdāmanā Wa Anşurnā `Alá Al-Qawmi Al-Kāfirīna َ003-147 Their word (of prayer) was only that they said, `Our Lord! grant us protection against the consequences of our sins and our excesses in our conduct, and make our foothold firm, and grant us victory over the disbelieving people.´ وَمَا كَانَ قَوْلَهُمْ إِلاَّ أَنْ قَالُوا رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَإِسْرَافَنَا فِي أَمْرِنَا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ
Fa'ātāhumu Al-Lahu Thawāba Ad-Dunyā Wa Ĥusna Thawābi Al-'Ākhirati Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Yuĥibbu Al-Muĥsinīna َ003-148 So Allâh granted them the reward of this world as also an excellent reward of the Hereafter. And Allâh loves the doers of good to others. فَآتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ ثَوَابَ الدُّنْيَا وَحُسْنَ ثَوَابِ الآخِرَةِ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū 'In Tuţī`ū Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Yaruddūkum `Alá 'A`qābikum Fatanqalibū Khāsirīna َ003-149 O you who believe! if you obey those who have disbelieved, they will make you turn apostates so that you will become losers. يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنْ تُطِيعُوا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يَرُدُّوكُمْ عَلَى أَعْقَابِكُمْ فَتَنْقَلِبُوا خَاسِرِينَ
Bali Al-Lahu Mawlākum  ۖ  Wa Huwa Khayru An-Nāşirīna َ003-150 Nay, (you do not have to do this for) Allâh is your Patron and Protector and He is the best of the helpers. بَلِ اللَّهُ مَوْلاَكُمْ  ۖ  وَهُوَ خَيْرُ النَّاصِرِينَ
Sanulqī Fī Qulūbi Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Ar-Ru`ba Bimā 'Ashrakū Bil-Lahi Mā Lam Yunazzil Bihi Sulţānāan  ۖ  Wa Ma'wāhumu An-Nāru  ۚ  Wa Bi'sa Math Až-Žālimīna َ003-151 We shall certainly strike terror into the hearts of those who have disbelieved, because they have associated with Allâh that for which He has sent down no authority, their abode is the Fire and how dismal is the lodging of the wrong doers! سَنُلْقِي فِي قُلُوبِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا الرُّعْبَ بِمَا أَشْرَكُوا بِاللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِه ِِ سُلْطَانا ً  ۖ  وَمَأْوَاهُمُ النَّارُ  ۚ  وَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى الظَّالِمِينَ
Wa Laqad Şadaqakumu Al-Lahu Wa`dahu 'Idh Taĥussūnahum Bi'idhnihi  ۖ  Ĥattá 'Idhā Fashiltum Wa Tanāza`tum Al-'Amri Wa `Aşaytum Min Ba`di Mā 'Arākum Mā Tuĥibbūna  ۚ  Minkum Man Yurīdu Ad-Dunyā Wa Minkum Man Yurīdu Al-'Ākhirata  ۚ  Thumma Şarafakum `Anhum Liyabtaliyakum  ۖ  Wa Laqad `Afā `Ankum Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Dhū Fađlin `Alá Al-Mu'uminīna َ003-152 And certainly Allâh had made good His promise to you when you were slaying them to pieces by His leave (in the Battle of Uhud), until, when you became lax and disagreed among yourselves about the (implications of the) order (of the Prophet), and you disobeyed (your leader Abdullah bin Jubair), after He had brought that (victory) which you desired within your sight (He withdrew His help from you). There were some among you who desired the present life and among you were those who desired the life to come. Then He turned you away from (gaining clear victory over) them (- the enemy), that He might reveal your (true) selves. Yet He surely pardoned you. Allâh is Gracious to the believers. وَلَقَدْ صَدَقَكُمُ اللَّهُ وَعْدَهُ~ُ إِذْ تَحُسُّونَهُمْ بِإِذْنِه ِِ  ۖ  حَتَّى إِذَا فَشِلْتُمْ وَتَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي الأَمْرِ وَعَصَيْتُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا أَرَاكُمْ مَا تُحِبُّونَ  ۚ  مِنْكُمْ مَنْ يُرِيدُ الدُّنْيَا وَمِنْكُمْ مَنْ يُرِيدُ الآخِرَةَ  ۚ  ثُمَّ صَرَفَكُمْ عَنْهُمْ لِيَبْتَلِيَكُمْ  ۖ  وَلَقَدْ عَفَا عَنْكُمْ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ ذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
'Idh Tuş`idūna Wa Lā Talwūna `Alá 'Aĥadin Wa Ar-Rasūlu Yad`ūkum Fī 'Ukhrākum Fa'athābakum Ghammāan Bighammin Likaylā Taĥzanū `Alá Mā Fātakum Wa Lā Mā 'Aşābakum Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Khabīrun Bimā Ta`malūna َ003-153 When you were going hard and far (in pursuit of the enemy in the Battle of Uhud) and you would not cast even a side-glance at and wait for anyone while the Messenger was calling out to you from your rear (to come back). So He gave you greater sorrow (which proved unreal later on) in place of the sorrow (you had already) in order that you should not grieve over what you had missed (of clear victory) nor over what befell you (of the hardships). And Allâh is Well-Aware of what you do. إِذْ تُصْعِدُونَ وَلاَ تَلْوُونَ عَلَى أَحَد ٍ وَالرَّسُولُ يَدْعُوكُمْ فِي أُخْرَاكُمْ فَأَثَابَكُمْ غَمّا ً بِغَمّ ٍ لِكَيْلاَ تَحْزَنُوا عَلَى مَا فَاتَكُمْ وَلاَ مَا أَصَابَكُمْ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ خَبِير ٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
Thumma 'Anzala `Alaykum Min Ba`di Al-Ghammi 'Amanatan Nu`āsāan Yaghshá Ţā'ifatan Minkum  ۖ  Wa Ţā'ifatun Qad 'Ahammat/hum 'Anfusuhum Yažunnūna Bil-Lahi Ghayra Al-Ĥaqqi Žanna Al-Jāhilīyati  ۖ  Yaqūlūna Hal Lanā Mina Al-'Amri Min Shay'in  ۗ  Qul 'Inna Al-'Amra Kullahu Lillahi  ۗ  Yukhfūna Fī 'Anfusihim Mā Lā Yubdūna Laka  ۖ  Yaqūlūna Law Kāna Lanā Mina Al-'Amri Shay'un Mā Qutilnā Hāhunā  ۗ  Qul Law Kuntum Fī Buyūtikum Labaraza Al-Ladhīna Kutiba `Alayhimu Al-Qatlu 'Ilá Mađāji`ihim  ۖ  Wa Liyabtaliya Al-Lahu Mā Fī Şudūrikum Wa Liyumaĥĥişa Mā Fī Qulūbikum Wa  ۗ  Allāhu `Alīmun Bidhāti Aş-Şudūri َ003-154 Then, after the sorrow He sent down tranquility upon you - a slumber which overwhelmed a party of you, while another party (of the hypocrites) whom their own personal interests had made anxious, entertained unjustly false notions about Allâh like the false notions (they used to bear in the days) of ignorance. They said, `Have we any authority in (the execution of) the matter (of administration)?´ Say, `The whole authority rests with Allâh.´ They hide in their minds (- thoughts) which they would not disclose to you. They say, `If we had any authority in (the execution of) the matter (of administration) we would not have been killed here.´ Say, `Even if you had been confined in your homes, surely those who were ordained to be slain would have, nevertheless, gone forth to the places where they were destined to fall. And (all this that took place in the Battle of Uhud was) that Allâh might reveal what was in your hearts and so that He might purge what was in your minds. And Allâh knows well what is in the minds (of the people). ثُمَّ أَنْزَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ الْغَمِّ أَمَنَة ً نُعَاسا ً يَغْشَى طَائِفَة ً مِنْكُمْ  ۖ  وَطَائِفَة ٌ قَدْ أَهَمَّتْهُمْ أَنْفُسُهُمْ يَظُنُّونَ بِاللَّهِ غَيْرَ الْحَقِّ ظَنَّ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ  ۖ  يَقُولُونَ هَلْ لَنَا مِنَ الأَمْرِ مِنْ شَيْء ٍ  ۗ  قُلْ إِنَّ الأَمْرَ كُلَّه ُُ لِلَّهِ  ۗ  يُخْفُونَ فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ مَا لاَ يُبْدُونَ لَكَ  ۖ  يَقُولُونَ لَوْ كَانَ لَنَا مِنَ الأَمْرِ شَيْء ٌ مَا قُتِلْنَا هَاهُنَا  ۗ  قُلْ لَوْ كُنْتُمْ فِي بُيُوتِكُمْ لَبَرَزَ الَّذِينَ كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقَتْلُ إِلَى مَضَاجِعِهِمْ  ۖ  وَلِيَبْتَلِيَ اللَّهُ مَا فِي صُدُورِكُمْ وَلِيُمَحِّصَ مَا فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ عَلِيم ٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Tawallaw Minkum Yawma At-Taqá Al-Jam`āni 'Innamā Astazallahumu Ash-Shayţānu Biba`đi Mā Kasabū  ۖ  Wa Laqad `Afā Al-Lahu `Anhum  ۗ  'Inna Al-Laha Ghafūrun Ĥalīmun َ003-155 Surely, those of you who turned their backs on the day when two armies met (in the battlefield of Uhud) it was satan indeed who sought to seduce them (to do so) without any intention on their part because of certain other doings of theirs, and most certainly Allâh has already pardoned them. Verily, Allâh is Great Protector, Ever Forbearing. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ تَوَلَّوْا مِنْكُمْ يَوْمَ الْتَقَى الْجَمْعَانِ إِنَّمَا اسْتَزَلَّهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ بِبَعْضِ مَا كَسَبُوا  ۖ  وَلَقَدْ عَفَا اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ  ۗ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ حَلِيم ٌ
Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Lā Takūnū Kālladhīna Kafarū Wa Qālū Li'khwānihim 'Idhā Đarabū Fī Al-'Arđi 'Aw Kānū Ghuzzáan Law Kānū `Indanā Mā Mātū Wa Mā Qutilū Liyaj`ala Al-Lahu Dhālika Ĥasratan Fī Qulūbihim Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Yuĥyī Wa Yumītu Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Bimā Ta`malūna Başīrun َ003-156 O you who believe! do not be like those who have concealed (the truth) and who say of their brethren when they (- the latter) travel in the land or go forth on any campaign (and fall martyrs), `Had they been with us they would not have died or been killed.´ They say it so that Allâh makes this a cause of intense regret in their hearts. (The fact, however, is that) it is Allâh Who gives life and causes death. Allâh sees well all what you do. يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لاَ تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَقَالُوا لِأخْوَانِهِمْ إِذَا ضَرَبُوا فِي الأَرْضِ أَوْ كَانُوا غُزّى ً لَوْ كَانُوا عِنْدَنَا مَا مَاتُوا وَمَا قُتِلُوا لِيَجْعَلَ اللَّهُ ذَلِكَ حَسْرَة ً فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِير ٌ
Wa La'in Qutiltum Fī Sabīli Al-Lahi 'Aw Muttum Lamaghfiratun Mina Al-Lahi Wa Raĥmatun Khayrun Mimmā Yajma`ūna َ003-157 And if you are killed (in the cause of Allâh) or you die, surely (you will find that) the protection from Allâh and (His) mercy (which fall to your lot) are far better than what they (- who have concealed the truth) amass. وَلَئِنْ قُتِلْتُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ مُتُّمْ لَمَغْفِرَة ٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرَحْمَةٌ خَيْر ٌ مِمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ
Wa La'in Muttum 'Aw Qutiltum La'ilá Al-Lahi Tuĥsharūna َ003-158 Indeed, whether you die or be killed, verily you shall be gathered together and brought before Allâh. وَلَئِنْ مُتُّمْ أَوْ قُتِلْتُمْ لَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُحْشَرُونَ
Fabimā Raĥmatin Mina Al-Lahi Linta Lahum  ۖ  Wa Law Kunta Fažžāan Ghalīža Al-Qalbi Lānfađđū Min Ĥawlika  ۖ  Fā`fu `Anhum Wa Astaghfir Lahum Wa Shāwirhum Al-'Amri  ۖ  Fa'idhā `Azamta Fatawakkal `Alá Al-Lahi  ۚ  'Inna Al-Laha Yuĥibbu Al-Mutawakkilīna َ003-159 So (O Prophet!) it is owing to the great mercy of Allâh that you are gentle towards them. Had you been harsh, hard-hearted, they would have certainly dispersed from around you; hence pardon them and ask protection for them, and consult them in matters (of administration), and when you are determined (after due consultation), put your trust in Allâh. Verily, Allâh loves those who put their trust in Him. فَبِمَا رَحْمَة ٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ لِنْتَ لَهُمْ  ۖ  وَلَوْ كُنْتَ فَظّاً غَلِيظَ الْقَلْبِ لاَنْفَضُّوا مِنْ حَوْلِكَ  ۖ  فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَشَاوِرْهُمْ فِي الأَمْرِ  ۖ  فَإِذَا عَزَمْتَ فَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ  ۚ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ
'In Yanşurkumu Al-Lahu Falā Ghāliba Lakum  ۖ  Wa 'In Yakhdhulkum Faman Dhā Al-Ladhī Yanşurukum Min Ba`dihi  ۗ  Wa `Alá Al-Lahi Falyatawakkali Al-Mu'uminūna َ003-160 If Allâh goes on helping you there is none to overcome you and if He forsakes you, then, who is there that will help you besides Him. Let the believers put their trust in Allâh alone. إِنْ يَنْصُرْكُمُ اللَّهُ فَلاَ غَالِبَ لَكُمْ  ۖ  وَإِنْ يَخْذُلْكُمْ فَمَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَنْصُرُكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِه ِِ  ۗ  وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ
Wa Mā Kāna Linabīyin 'An Yaghulla  ۚ  Wa Man Yaghlul Ya'ti Bimā Ghalla Yawma Al-Qiyāmati  ۚ  Thumma Tuwaffá Kullu Nafsin Mā Kasabat Wa Hum Lā Yužlamūna َ003-161 It is not possible for a Prophet to be guilty of a breach of trust, but whoever (else) is guilty of a breach of a trust he will have to bring forth that about which he had been guilty, on the Day of Resurrection when every soul shall be paid in full for what it has accomplished, and they shall not be done any injustice. وَمَا كَانَ لِنَبِيٍّ أَنْ يَغُلَّ  ۚ  وَمَنْ يَغْلُلْ يَأْتِ بِمَا غَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ  ۚ  ثُمَّ تُوَفَّى كُلُّ نَفْس ٍ مَا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لاَ يُظْلَمُونَ
'Afamani Attaba`a Riđwāna Al-Lahi Kaman Bā'a Bisakhaţin Mina Al-Lahi Wa Ma'wāhu Jahannamu  ۚ  Wa Bi'sa Al-Maşīru َ003-162 Can the person who (always) follows the good pleasure of Allâh be like the person who has incurred the displeasure of Allâh and whose abode is Gehenna? What an evil destined abode it is! أَفَمَنِ اتَّبَعَ رِضْوَانَ اللَّهِ كَمَنْ بَاءَ بِسَخَط ٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَمَأْوَاه ُُ جَهَنَّمُ  ۚ  وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ
Hum Darajātun `Inda Al-Lahi Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Başīrun Bimā Ya`malūna َ003-163 They (- the believers and the Prophets) have exalted degrees of rank of grace with Allâh. And Allâh sees well of all that they do. هُمْ دَرَجَاتٌ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ بَصِير ٌ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ
Laqad Manna Al-Lahu `Alá Al-Mu'uminīna 'Idh Ba`atha Fīhim Rasūlāan Min 'Anfusihim Yatlū `Alayhim 'Āyātihi Wa Yuzakkīhim Wa Yu`allimuhumu Al-Kitāba Wa Al-Ĥikmata Wa 'In Kānū Min Qablu Lafī Đalālin Mubīnin َ003-164 Verily, Allâh has bestowed a favour on the believers when He has raised amongst them a great Messenger from amongst themselves who recites to them His Messages, and purifies them and teaches them the Book and the wisdom; although before this, they were steeped in flagrant error. لَقَدْ مَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِذْ بَعَثَ فِيهِمْ رَسُولا ً مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ يَتْلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتِه ِِ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَإِنْ كَانُوا مِنْ قَبْلُ لَفِي ضَلاَل ٍ مُبِين ٍ
'Awalammā 'Aşābatkum Muşībatun Qad 'Aşabtum Mithlayhā Qultum 'Anná Hādhā  ۖ  Qul Huwa Min `Indi 'Anfusikum  ۗ  'Inna Al-Laha `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun َ003-165 (So what) when you suffered a loss (at the Battle of Uhud) you had already inflicted a loss (upon your enemy) twice as heavy as that (at the Battle of Badr), you (began to) say, `Whence is this?´ Say, `It is of your own making.´ Surely, Allâh is the Possessor of full power to do all that He will. أَوَلَمَّا أَصَابَتْكُمْ مُصِيبَة ٌ قَدْ أَصَبْتُمْ مِثْلَيْهَا قُلْتُمْ أَنَّى هَذَا  ۖ  قُلْ هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ أَنْفُسِكُمْ  ۗ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ قَدِير ٌ
Wa Mā 'Aşābakum Yawma At-Taqá Al-Jam`āni Fabi'idhni Al-Lahi Wa Liya`lama Al-Mu'uminīna َ003-166 And that which befell you on the day when the two armies met (at Uhud), was so by the leave of Allâh, and (it happened thus) so that He might distinguish the believers, وَمَا أَصَابَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْتَقَى الْجَمْعَانِ فَبِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa Liya`lama Al-Ladhīna Nāfaqū  ۚ  Wa Qīla Lahum Ta`ālaw Qātilū Fī Sabīli Al-Lahi 'Aw Adfa`ū  ۖ  Qālū Law Na`lamu Qitālāan Lāttaba`nākum  ۗ  Hum Lilkufri Yawma'idhin 'Aqrabu Minhum Lil'īmāni  ۚ  Yaqūlūna Bi'afwhihim Mā Laysa Fī Qulūbihim Wa  ۗ  Allāhu 'A`lamu Bimā Yaktumūna َ003-167 And that He might distinguish those who practise hypocrisy. Indeed, it was said to them (- the hypocrites), `Come forward, fight in the cause of Allâh, or at least help the defences.´ They said, `If we but knew that it would be a fight we would surely follow you, (but the Muslims were going to a sure destruction).´ On that day, they were nearer to disbelief than to belief. They say with their mouths that which is not in their minds. And Allâh knows best all that they conceal. وَلِيَعْلَمَ الَّذِينَ نَافَقُوا  ۚ  وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْا قَاتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ ادْفَعُوا  ۖ  قَالُوا لَوْ نَعْلَمُ قِتَالا ً لاَتَّبَعْنَاكُمْ  ۗ  هُمْ لِلْكُفْرِ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَقْرَبُ مِنْهُمْ لِلإِيمَانِ  ۚ  يَقُولُونَ بِأَفْواهِهِمْ مَا لَيْسَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَكْتُمُونَ
Al-Ladhīna Qālū Li'khwānihim Wa Qa`adū Law 'Aţā`ūnā Mā Qutilū  ۗ  Qul Fādra'ū `An 'Anfusikumu Al-Mawta 'In Kuntum Şādiqīna َ003-168 It is these who said of their brethren whilst they (themselves) stayed behind (declining the field), `If they had obeyed us, they would not have been killed.´ Say, `Then avert death from yourselves if you are right.´ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا لِأخْوَانِهِمْ وَقَعَدُوا لَوْ أَطَاعُونَا مَا قُتِلُوا  ۗ  قُلْ فَادْرَءُوا عَنْ أَنْفُسِكُمُ الْمَوْتَ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
Wa Lā Taĥsabanna Al-Ladhīna Qutilū Fī Sabīli Al-Lahi 'Amwātāan  ۚ  Bal 'Aĥyā'un `Inda Rabbihim Yurzaqūna َ003-169 And think not of those who have been killed in the cause of Allâh as dead. Nay, they are alive, enjoying the company of their (Ever- Living) Lord and well provided (as they deserve to be for an everlasting life); وَلاَ تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَمْوَاتا ً  ۚ  بَلْ أَحْيَاءٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ
Farīna Bimā 'Ātāhumu Al-Lahu Min Fađlihi Wa Yastabshirūna Bial-Ladhīna Lam Yalĥaqū Bihim Min Khalfihim 'Allā Khawfun `Alayhim Wa Lā Hum Yaĥzanūna َ003-170 Jubilant because of that which Allâh has given them out of His grace. They are receiving glad tidings also about those (believers similar to themselves) who are still left behind them (in this world) and have not yet joined them, that they shall have no cause of fear, nor shall they grieve, (rather they will be victorious and will see the promises of Allâh fulfilled). فَرِحِينَ بِمَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِه ِِ وَيَسْتَبْشِرُونَ بِالَّذِينَ لَمْ يَلْحَقُوا بِهِمْ مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ أَلاَّ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
Yastabshirūna Bini`matin Mina Al-Lahi Wa Fađlin Wa 'Anna Al-Laha Lā Yuđī`u 'Ajra Al-Mu'uminīna َ003-171 And they (- the martyrs) are also receiving glad tidings (that those who have been left behind in the world are happy) because of the favours of Allâh and (His) great bounty and that Allâh does not suffer the reward of the believers to be lost. يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ بِنِعْمَة ٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَفَضْل ٍ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Al-Ladhīna Astajābū Lillahi Wa Ar-Rasūli Min Ba`di Mā 'Aşābahumu Al-Qarĥu  ۚ  Lilladhīna 'Aĥsanū Minhum Wa Attaqaw 'Ajrun `Ažīmun َ003-172 Those who responded to the call of Allâh and the Messenger after they had received an injury (at Uhud), for those amongst them who did their duty well and warded off evil (by pursuing the enemy forces the next day upto Hamrâ´al-Asad, a place near Madînah), there awaits a great reward. الَّذِينَ اسْتَجَابُوا لِلَّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا أَصَابَهُمُ الْقَرْحُ  ۚ  لِلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا مِنْهُمْ وَاتَّقَوْا أَجْرٌ عَظِيم ٌ
Al-Ladhīna Qāla Lahumu An-Nāsu 'Inna An-Nāsa Qad Jama`ū Lakumkhshawhum Fazādahum 'Īmānāan Wa Qālū Ĥasbunā Al-Lahu Wa Ni`ma Al-Wakīlu َ003-173 Those to whom (at the time of the expedition of Badr al-Sughrâ) people said, `People have assembled against you, so fear them.´ But this (threat of danger) increased their faith and they said, `Allâh is Sufficient for us, and He is an excellent Disposer of affairs´. الَّذِينَ قَالَ لَهُمُ النَّاسُ إِنَّ النَّاسَ قَدْ جَمَعُوا لَكُمْ فَاخْشَوْهُمْ فَزَادَهُمْ إِيمَانا ً وَقَالُوا حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ
nqalabū Bini`matin Mina Al-Lahi Wa Fađlin Lam Yamsas/hum Sū'un Wa Attaba`ū Riđwāna Al-Lahi Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Dhū Fađlin `Ažīmin َ003-174 Hence they returned with a mighty blessing from Allâh and a great bounty. They suffered no harm whatsoever, and they followed the good pleasure of Allâh. Indeed, Allâh is the Possessor of great bounty. فَانْقَلَبُوا بِنِعْمَة ٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَفَضْل ٍ لَمْ يَمْسَسْهُمْ سُوء ٌ وَاتَّبَعُوا رِضْوَانَ اللَّهِ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ ذُو فَضْلٍ عَظِيم ٍ
'Innamā Dhalikumu Ash-Shayţānu Yukhawwifu 'Awliyā'ahu Falā Takhāfūhum Wa Khāfūni 'In Kuntum Mu'uminīna َ003-175 (Now you have come to know that) it is satan, in fact, who merely threatens through his friends, so do not fear them, rather fear Me, if you are (true) believers. إِنَّمَا ذَلِكُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ يُخَوِّفُ أَوْلِيَاءَه ُُ فَلاَ تَخَافُوهُمْ وَخَافُونِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa Lā Yaĥzunka Al-Ladhīna Yusāri`ūna Fī Al-Kufri  ۚ  'Innahum Lan Yađurrū Al-Laha Shay'āan  ۗ  Yurīdu Al-Lahu 'Allā Yaj`ala Lahum Ĥažžāan Al-'Ākhirati  ۖ  Wa Lahum `Adhābun `Ažīmun َ003-176 And do not let those who vie one with another in (following the ways of) disbelief grieve you. Surely, they shall not be able to do the slightest harm to Allâh. It is Allâh´s will to assign them no portion in the Hereafter. Rather, there awaits them a great punishment. وَلاَ يَحْزُنْكَ الَّذِينَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْكُفْرِ  ۚ  إِنَّهُمْ لَنْ يَضُرُّوا اللَّهَ شَيْئا ً  ۗ  يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ أَلاَّ يَجْعَلَ لَهُمْ حَظّا ً فِي الآخِرَةِ  ۖ  وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيم ٌ
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Ashtaraw Al-Kufra Bil-'Īmāni Lan Yađurrū Al-Laha Shay'āan Wa Lahum `Adhābun 'Alīmun َ003-177 Those who preferred disbelief to belief will not be able to do the least harm to Allâh. A grievous punishment awaits them. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ اشْتَرَوُا الْكُفْرَ بِالإِيمَانِ لَنْ يَضُرُّوا اللَّهَ شَيْئا ً وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيم ٌ
Wa Lā Yaĥsabanna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū 'Annamā Numlī Lahum Khayrun Li'anfusihim  ۚ  'Innamā Numlī Lahum Liyazdādū 'Ithmāan  ۚ  Wa Lahum `Adhābun Muhīnun َ003-178 And do not let those who disbelieve think that the respite We give them is good for them. Surely, We grant them respite but they do not avail it, with the result that they add to their sins. A humiliating punishment awaits them. وَلاَ يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّمَا نُمْلِي لَهُمْ خَيْر ٌ لِأَنْفُسِهِمْ  ۚ  إِنَّمَا نُمْلِي لَهُمْ لِيَزْدَادُوا إِثْما ً  ۚ  وَلَهُمْ عَذَاب ٌ مُهِين ٌ
Mā Kāna Al-Lahu Liyadhara Al-Mu'uminīna `Alá Mā 'Antum `Alayhi Ĥattá Yamīza Al-Khabītha Mina Aţ-Ţayyibi  ۗ  Wa Mā Kāna Al-Lahu Liyuţli`akum `Alá Al-Ghaybi Wa Lakinna Al-Laha Yajtabī Min Rusulihi Man Yashā'u  ۖ  Fa'āminū Bil-Lahi Wa Rusulihi  ۚ  Wa 'In Tu'uminū Wa Tattaqū Falakum 'Ajrun `Ažīmun َ003-179 And Allâh is not going to leave (you), the believers, as you are, unless He has distinguished the corrupt from the good. Nor is Allâh going to reveal fully to (everyone of) you, the unseen; but Allâh chooses (for His Messages) such of His Messengers as He will. Believe, therefore in Allâh and His Messengers; and (remember) if you believe (truly) and guard against evil then there is for you a great reward. مَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيَذَرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَى مَا أَنْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى يَمِيزَ الْخَبِيثَ مِنَ الطَّيِّبِ  ۗ  وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُطْلِعَكُمْ عَلَى الْغَيْبِ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ يَجْتَبِي مِنْ رُسُلِه ِِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ  ۖ  فَآمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِه ِِ  ۚ  وَإِنْ تُؤْمِنُوا وَتَتَّقُوا فَلَكُمْ أَجْرٌ عَظِيم ٌ
Wa Lā Yaĥsabanna Al-Ladhīna Yabkhalūna Bimā 'Ātāhumu Al-Lahu Min Fađlihi Huwa Khayrāan Lahum  ۖ  Bal Huwa Sharrun Lahum  ۖ  Sayuţawwaqūna Mā Bakhilū Bihi Yawma Al-Qiyāmati  ۗ  Wa Lillahi Mīrāthu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa  ۗ  Allāhu Bimā Ta`malūna Khabīrun َ003-180 And do not let those, who behave niggardly in (spending) what Allâh has granted them of His bounty, think that it is good for them, nay it is bad for them. They shall certainly have the things they were niggardly about, hung about their necks like halters on the Day of Resurrection. And to Allâh belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. Indeed, Allâh is Well-Aware of all that you do. وَلاَ يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ يَبْخَلُونَ بِمَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِه ِِ هُوَ خَيْرا ً لَهُمْ  ۖ  بَلْ هُوَ شَرّ ٌ لَهُمْ  ۖ  سَيُطَوَّقُونَ مَا بَخِلُوا بِه ِِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ  ۗ  وَلِلَّهِ مِيرَاثُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِير ٌ
Laqad Sami`a Al-Lahu Qawla Al-Ladhīna Qālū 'Inna Al-Laha Faqīrun Wa Naĥnu 'Aghniyā'u  ۘ  Sanaktubu Mā Qālū Wa Qatlahumu Al-'Anbiyā'a Bighayri Ĥaqqin Wa Naqūlu Dhūqū `Adhāba Al-Ĥarīqi َ003-181 Allâh has most certainly heard the words of those who said, `Allâh is poor and we are rich.´ Certainly We shall record what they say and their efforts towards seeking to kill the Prophets unjustly. And We shall say (at the time of retribution), `Taste (now) the punishment of burning. لَقَدْ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ قَوْلَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ فَقِير ٌ وَنَحْنُ أَغْنِيَاءُ  ۘ  سَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَالُوا وَقَتْلَهُمُ الأَنْبِيَاءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقّ ٍ وَنَقُولُ ذُوقُوا عَذَابَ الْحَرِيقِ
Dhālika Bimā Qaddamat 'Aydīkum Wa 'Anna Al-Laha Laysa Bižallāmin Lil`abīdi َ003-182 `This (punishment) is because of that which your own hands have sent forward,´ and the fact is that Allâh is not at all unjust to His servants. ذَلِكَ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَيْسَ بِظَلاَّم ٍ لِلْعَبِيدِ
Al-Ladhīna Qālū 'Inna Al-Laha `Ahida 'Ilaynā 'Allā Nu'umina Lirasūlin Ĥattá Ya'tiyanā Biqurbānin Ta'kuluhu An-Nāru  ۗ  Qul Qad Jā'akum Rusulun Min Qablī Bil-Bayyināti Wa Bial-Ladhī Qultum Falima Qataltumūhum 'In Kuntum Şādiqīna َ003-183 (These are the very Jews) who said, `Surely, Allâh has enjoined us not to believe in any Messenger unless He brings us an offering which is consumed by the fire (in accordance with mosaic law).´ Say, `Surely Messengers have come to you before me with clear signs and with that of which you speak. Why, then did you seek to kill them if you have been right (in your demand)?´ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَهِدَ إِلَيْنَا أَلاَّ نُؤْمِنَ لِرَسُولٍ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَنَا بِقُرْبَان ٍ تَأْكُلُهُ النَّارُ  ۗ  قُلْ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رُسُل ٌ مِنْ قَبْلِي بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَبِالَّذِي قُلْتُمْ فَلِمَ قَتَلْتُمُوهُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
Fa'in Kadhdhabūka Faqad Kudhdhiba Rusulun Min Qablika Jā'ū Bil-Bayyināti Wa Az-Zuburi Wa Al-Kitābi Al-Munīri َ003-184 But if they cry lies to you (you need not be disheartened) even so lies were cried to many Messengers before you, who came with clear signs, with the Books full of wisdom and with the glorious Scripture. فَإِنْ كَذَّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كُذِّبَ رُسُل ٌ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ جَاءُوا بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالزُّبُرِ وَالْكِتَابِ الْمُنِيرِ
Kullu Nafsin Dhā'iqatu Al-Mawti  ۗ  Wa 'Innamā Tuwaffawna 'Ujūrakum Yawma Al-Qiyāmati  ۖ  Faman Zuĥziĥa `Ani An-Nāri Wa 'Udkhila Al-Jannata Faqad Fāza  ۗ  Wa Mā Al-Ĥayāatu Ad-Dunyā 'Illā Matā`u Al-Ghurūri َ003-185 Every living being is destined to taste death. And you shall, verily, be paid in full your rewards on the Day of Resurrection. Then whoso is removed away from the Fire and is admitted to Paradise, he has, of course, successfully attained his goal. And the life of this world is nothing but a vain provision (causing negligence). كُلُّ نَفْس ٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ  ۗ  وَإِنَّمَا تُوَفَّوْنَ أُجُورَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ  ۖ  فَمَنْ زُحْزِحَ عَنِ النَّارِ وَأُدْخِلَ الْجَنَّةَ فَقَدْ فَازَ  ۗ  وَمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلاَّ مَتَاعُ الْغُرُورِ
Latublawunna Fī 'Amwālikum Wa 'Anfusikum Wa Latasma`unna Mina Al-Ladhīna 'Ū Al-Kitāba Min Qablikum Wa Mina Al-Ladhīna 'Ashrakū 'Adháan Kathīrāan  ۚ  Wa 'In Taşbirū Wa Tattaqū Fa'inna Dhālika Min `Azmi Al-'Umūri َ003-186 You shall, certainly, be tried in your substance and lives and you shall certainly hear from those who were given the Scripture before you and from those who set up equals (to God) a good deal of hurtful abuse. But if you are patiently persevering and guard against evil, then this (attitude) is worth being followed with constancy and firm determination. لَتُبْلَوُنَّ فِي أَمْوَالِكُمْ وَأَنْفُسِكُمْ وَلَتَسْمَعُنَّ مِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا أَذى ً كَثِيرا ً  ۚ  وَإِنْ تَصْبِرُوا وَتَتَّقُوا فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ مِنْ عَزْمِ الأُمُورِ
Wa 'Idh 'Akhadha Al-Lahu Mīthāqa Al-Ladhīna 'Ū Al-Kitāba Latubayyinunnahu Lilnnāsi Wa Lā Taktumūnahu Fanabadhūhu Warā'a Žuhūrihim Wa Ashtaraw Bihi Thamanāan Qalīlāan  ۖ  Fabi'sa Mā Yashtarūna َ003-187 Recall the time when Allâh took a covenant from those who were given the Scripture that, `You must explain (the teachings of) this (Scripture) to the people and not conceal it.´ But they threw it away behind their backs, and accepted a paltry price for it. How evil is that which they have chosen! وَإِذْ أَخَذَ اللَّهُ مِيثَاقَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ لَتُبَيِّنُنَّه ُُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلاَ تَكْتُمُونَه ُُ فَنَبَذُوه ُُ وَرَاءَ ظُهُورِهِمْ وَاشْتَرَوْا بِه ِِ ثَمَنا ً قَلِيلا ً  ۖ  فَبِئْسَ مَا يَشْتَرُونَ
Lā Taĥsabanna Al-Ladhīna Yafraĥūna Bimā 'Ataw Wa Yuĥibbūna 'An Yuĥmadū Bimā Lam Yaf`alū Falā Taĥsabannahum Bimafāzatin Mina Al-`Adhābi  ۖ  Wa Lahum `Adhābun 'Alīmun َ003-188 You should not think - indeed you should not think that those who exult in what they have brought about, and love to be praised for what they have not done, are secure from punishment; rather a woeful punishment awaits them. لاَ تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ يَفْرَحُونَ بِمَا أَتَوا وَيُحِبُّونَ أَنْ يُحْمَدُوا بِمَا لَمْ يَفْعَلُوا فَلاَ تَحْسَبَنَّهُمْ بِمَفَازَة ٍ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ  ۖ  وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيم ٌ
Wa Lillahi Mulku As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa  ۗ  Allāhu `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun َ003-189 The sovereignty of the heavens and the earth belongs to Allâh alone, and Allâh is the Possessor of full power to do all that He will. وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ قَدِير ٌ
'Inna Fī Khalqi As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Akhtilāfi Al-Layli Wa An-Nahāri La'āyātin Li'wlī Al-'Albābi َ003-190 Surely, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and (in) the alternation of the night and the day there are many signs for people of pure and clear understanding. إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلاَفِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ لَآيَات ٍ لِأولِي الأَلْبَابِ
Al-Ladhīna Yadhkurūna Al-Laha Qiyāmāan Wa Qu`ūdāan Wa `Alá Junūbihim Wa Yatafakkarūna Fī Khalqi As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Rabbanā Mā Khalaqta Hādhā Bāţilāan Subĥānaka Faqinā `Adhāba An-Nāri َ003-191 These are the persons who remember Allâh standing, and sitting and (lying) on their sides and reflect upon the creation of the heavens and the earth (and say,) `Our Lord! You have not created (all) this in vain. Glory be to You, save us from the punishment of the Fire. الَّذِينَ يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ قِيَاما ً وَقُعُودا ً وَعَلَى جُنُوبِهِمْ وَيَتَفَكَّرُونَ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هَذَا بَاطِلا ً سُبْحَانَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Rabbanā 'Innaka Man Tudkhili An-Nāra Faqad 'Akhzaytahu  ۖ  Wa Mā Lilžžālimīna Min 'Anşārin َ003-192 `Our Lord! whomsoever You cause to enter the Fire, You have truly disgraced him, and there will be none to help these unjust. رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ مَنْ تُدْخِلِ النَّارَ فَقَدْ أَخْزَيْتَه ُُ  ۖ  وَمَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ مِنْ أَنْصَار ٍ
Rabbanā 'Innanā Sami`nā Munādīāan Yunādī Lil'īmāni 'An 'Āminū Birabbikum Fa'āmannā  ۚ  Rabbanā Fāghfir Lanā Dhunūbanā Wa Kaffir `Annā Sayyi'ātinā Wa Tawaffanā Ma`a Al-'Abrāri َ003-193 `Our Lord! certainly, we heard a crier calling to the Faith, saying, "Believe in your Lord," and we have believed. Our Lord! protect us against our sins and rid us of our evils and cause us to die (and after death count us) with the virtuous. رَبَّنَا إِنَّنَا سَمِعْنَا مُنَادِيا ً يُنَادِي لِلإِيمَانِ أَنْ آمِنُوا بِرَبِّكُمْ فَآمَنَّا  ۚ  رَبَّنَا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَكَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَيِّئَاتِنَا وَتَوَفَّنَا مَعَ الأَبْرَارِ
Rabbanā Wa 'Ātinā Mā Wa`adtanā `Alá Rusulika Wa Lā Tukhzinā Yawma Al-Qiyāmati  ۗ  'Innaka Lā Tukhlifu Al-Mī`āda َ003-194 `Our Lord! grant us what You have promised us through Your Messengers and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Surely, You do not break Your promise.´ رَبَّنَا وَآتِنَا مَا وَعَدْتَنَا عَلَى رُسُلِكَ وَلاَ تُخْزِنَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ  ۗ  إِنَّكَ لاَ تُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ
Fāstajāba Lahum Rabbuhum 'Annī Lā 'Uđī`u `Amala `Āmilin Minkum Min Dhakarin 'Aw 'Unthá  ۖ  Ba`đukum Min Ba`đin  ۖ  Fa-Al-Ladhīna Hājarū Wa 'Ukhrijū Min Diyārihim Wa 'Ūdhū Fī Sabīlī Wa Qātalū Wa Qutilū La'ukaffiranna `Anhum Sayyi'ātihim Wa La'udkhilannahum Jannātin Tajrī Min Taĥtihā Al-'Anhāru Thawābāan Min `Indi Al-Lahi Wa  ۗ  Allāhu `Indahu Ĥusnu Ath-Thawābi َ003-195 Their Lord then, accepted their prayer for them (saying), `I will not, most certainly suffer the deed of any doer (of good) from among you, whether male or female, to be lost; the one of you being as the other. Hence those who have emigrated, and have been driven out of their homes, and have been persecuted in My cause, and who have fought and been killed, surely I will absolve them of their evils and will, of course, admit them into Gardens served with running streams, a reward from Allâh. And Allâh, with Him is the fairest reward (to offer). فَاسْتَجَابَ لَهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ أَنِّي لاَ أُضِيعُ عَمَلَ عَامِل ٍ مِنْكُمْ مِنْ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى  ۖ  بَعْضُكُمْ مِنْ بَعْض ٍ  ۖ  فَالَّذِينَ هَاجَرُوا وَأُخْرِجُوا مِنْ دِيَارِهِمْ وَأُوذُوا فِي سَبِيلِي وَقَاتَلُوا وَقُتِلُوا لَأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ وَلَأُدْخِلَنَّهُمْ جَنَّات ٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ ثَوَابا ً مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ  ۗ  وَاللَّهُ عِنْدَه ُُ حُسْنُ الثَّوَابِ
Lā Yaghurrannaka Taqallubu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Fī Al-Bilādi َ003-196 Do not let the moving about in the land, of those who have disbelieved, deceive you. لاَ يَغُرَّنَّكَ تَقَلُّبُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فِي الْبِلاَدِ
Matā`un Qalīlun Thumma Ma'wāhum Jahannamu  ۚ  Wa Bi'sa Al-Mihādu َ003-197 (It is) a brief provision, then Gehenna shall be their abode. What an evil place of rest! مَتَاع ٌ قَلِيل ٌ ثُمَّ مَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ  ۚ  وَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ
Lakini Al-Ladhīna Attaqaw Rabbahum Lahum Jannātun Tajrī Min Taĥtihā Al-'Anhāru Khālidīna Fīhā Nuzulāan Min `Indi Al-Lahi  ۗ  Wa Mā `Inda Al-Lahi Khayrun Lil'abrāri َ003-198 But those who took their Lord as a shield shall have Gardens served with running streams, therein shall they live for ever, an entertainment from Allâh Himself; and that which is with Allâh is better still for the virtuous. لَكِنِ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا رَبَّهُمْ لَهُمْ جَنَّات ٌ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا نُزُلا ً مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ  ۗ  وَمَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ خَيْر ٌ لِلأَبْرَارِ
Wa 'Inna Min 'Ahli Al-Kitābi Laman Yu'uminu Bil-Lahi Wa Mā 'Unzila 'Ilaykum Wa Mā 'Unzila 'Ilayhim Khāshi`īna Lillahi Lā Yashtarūna Bi'āyāti Al-Lahi Thamanāan Qalīlāan  ۗ  'Ūlā'ika Lahum 'Ajruhum `Inda Rabbihim  ۗ  'Inna Al-Laha Sarī`u Al-Ĥisābi َ003-199 There are some among the people of the Scripture who believe in Allâh and in that which has been revealed to you and in that which has been revealed to them, humbling themselves before Allâh, they barter not the Messages of Allâh for a paltry price, it is these whose reward is due with their Lord. Indeed, Allâh is Swift in reckoning. وَإِنَّ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لَمَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْهِمْ خَاشِعِينَ لِلَّهِ لاَ يَشْتَرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ ثَمَنا ً قَلِيلاً  ۗ  أُوْلَائِكَ لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ  ۗ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ
Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Aşbirū Wa Şābirū Wa Rābiţū Wa Attaqū Al-Laha La`allakum Tufliĥūna َ003-200 O you who believe! be patiently persevering and strive to excel (the disbelievers) in being patiently persevering and guard (the frontiers) and ward off evil, keep your duty to Allâh so that you may attain your goal. يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اصْبِرُوا وَصَابِرُوا وَرَابِطُوا وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
