Sabbiĥi Asma Rabbika Al-'A`lá | 087.001 Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, |
Al-Ladhī Khalaqa Fasawwá | 087.002 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; |
Wa Al-Ladhī Qaddara Fahadá | 087.003 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; |
Wa Al-Ladhī 'Akhraja Al-Mar`á | 087.004 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, |
Faja`alahu Ghuthā'an 'Aĥwá | 087.005 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. |
Sanuqri'uka Falā Tansá | 087.006 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, |
'Illā Mā Shā'a Al-Lahu 'Innahu Ya`lamu Al-Jahra Wa Mā Yakhfá | 087.007 Except as God wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. |
Wa Nuyassiruka Lilyusrá | 087.008 And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). |
Fadhakkir 'In Nafa`ati Adh-Dhikrá | 087.009 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). |
Sayadhdhakkaru Man Yakhshá | 087.010 The admonition will be received by those who fear (God): |
Wa Yatajannabuhā Al-'Ashqá | 087.011 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, |
Al-Ladhī Yaşlá An-Nāra Al-Kubrá | 087.012 Who will enter the Great Fire, |
Thumma Lā Yamūtu Fīhā Wa Lā Yaĥyā | 087.013 In which they will then neither die nor live. |
Qad 'Aflaĥa Man Tazakká | 087.014 But those will prosper who purify themselves, |
Wa Dhakara Asma Rabbihi Faşallá | 087.015 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. |
Bal Tu'uthirūna Al-Ĥayāata Ad-Dunyā | 087.016 Day (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; |
Wa Al-'Ākhiratu Khayrun Wa 'Abqá | 087.017 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. |
'Inna Hādhā Lafī Aş-Şuĥufi Al-'Ūlá | 087.018 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- |
Şuĥufi 'Ibrāhīma Wa Mūsá | 087.019 The Books of Abraham and Moses. |
