Wa Adh-Dhāriyāti Dharwan | By (the winds) that scatter dust. (Adh-Dhariyat 51:1) |
Fālĥāmilāti Wiqrāan | And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water; (Adh-Dhariyat 51:2) |
Fāljāriyāti Yusrāan | And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; (Adh-Dhariyat 51:3) |
Fālmuqassimāti 'Amrāan | And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allāh's) Command; (Adh-Dhariyat 51:4) |
'Innamā Tū`adūna Laşādiqun | Verily, that which you are promised (i.e. Resurrection in the Hereafter and receiving the reward or punishment of good or bad deeds, etc.) is surely true. (Adh-Dhariyat 51:5) |
Wa 'Inna Ad-Dīna Lawāqi`un | And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. (Adh-Dhariyat 51:6) |
Wa As-Samā'i Dhāti Al-Ĥubuki | By the heaven full of paths, (Adh-Dhariyat 51:7) |
'Innakum Lafī Qawlin Mukhtalifin | Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Qur'ān). (Adh-Dhariyat 51:8) |
Yu'ufaku `Anhu Man 'Ufika | Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Qur'ān) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allāh). (Adh-Dhariyat 51:9) |
Qutila Al-Kharrāşūna | Cursed be the liars, (Adh-Dhariyat 51:10) |
Al-Ladhīna Hum Fī Ghamratin Sāhūna | Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), (Adh-Dhariyat 51:11) |
Yas'alūna 'Ayyāna Yawmu Ad-Dīni | They ask; "When will be the Day of Recompense?" (Adh-Dhariyat 51:12) |
Yawma Hum `Alá An-Nāri Yuftanūna | (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (i.e. burnt) over the Fire! (Adh-Dhariyat 51:13) |
Dhūqū Fitnatakum Hādhā Al-Ladhī Kuntum Bihi Tasta`jilūna | "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" (Adh-Dhariyat 51:14) |
'Inna Al-Muttaqīna Fī Jannātin Wa `Uyūnin | Verily, the Muttaqûn (pious - see V.2:2) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise), (Adh-Dhariyat 51:15) |
'Ākhidhīna Mā 'Ātāhum Rabbuhum 'Innahum Kānū Qabla Dhālika Muĥsinīna | Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinûn (good-doers - see V.2:112). (Adh-Dhariyat 51:16) |
Kānū Qalīlāan Mina Al-Layli Mā Yahja`ūna | They used to sleep but little by night [invoking their Lord (Allāh) and praying, with fear and hope]. (Adh-Dhariyat 51:17) |
Wa Bil-'Asĥāri Hum Yastaghfirūna | And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allāh) for forgiveness, (Adh-Dhariyat 51:18) |
Wa Fī 'Amwālihim Ĥaqqun Lilssā'ili Wa Al-Maĥrūmi | And in their properties there was the right of the beggar, and the Mahrûm (the poor who does not ask the others), (Adh-Dhariyat 51:19) |
Wa Fī Al-'Arđi 'Āyātun Lilmūqinīna | And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, (Adh-Dhariyat 51:20) |
Wa Fī 'Anfusikum 'Afalā Tubşirūna | And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? (Adh-Dhariyat 51:21) |
Wa Fī As-Samā'i Rizqukum Wa Mā Tū`adūna | And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. (Adh-Dhariyat 51:22) |
Fawarabbi As-Samā'i Wa Al-'Arđi 'Innahu Laĥaqqun Mithla Mā 'Annakum Tanţiqūna | Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. (Adh-Dhariyat 51:23) |
Hal 'Atāka Ĥadīthu Đayfi 'Ibrāhīma Al-Mukramīna | Has the story reached you, of the honoured guests [three angels; Jibrael (Gabriel) along with another two] of Ibrahīm (Abraham)? (Adh-Dhariyat 51:24) |
'Idh Dakhalū `Alayhi Faqālū Salāmāan Qāla Salāmun Qawmun Munkarūna | When they came in to him, and said, "Salām, (peace be upon you)!" He answered; "Salām, (peace be upon you )," and said: "You are a people unknown to me," (Adh-Dhariyat 51:25) |
Farāgha 'Ilá 'Ahlihi Fajā'a Bi`ijlin Samīnin | Then he turned to his household, so brought out a roasted calf [as the property of Ibrahīm (Abraham) was mainly cows]. (Adh-Dhariyat 51:26) |
Faqarrabahu 'Ilayhim Qāla 'Alā Ta'kulūna | And placed it before them, (saying): "Will you not eat?" (Adh-Dhariyat 51:27) |
Fa'awjasa Minhum Khīfatan Qālū Lā Takhaf Wa Bashsharūhu Bighulāmin `Alīmin | Then he conceived a fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of an intelligent son, having knowledge (about Allāh and His religion of True Monotheism). (Adh-Dhariyat 51:28) |
Fa'aqbalati Amra'atuhu Fī Şarratin Faşakkat Wajhahā Wa Qālat `Ajūzun `Aqīmun | Then his wife came forward with a loud voice, she smote her face, and said: "A barren old woman!" (Adh-Dhariyat 51:29) |
Qālū Kadhāliki Qāla Rabbuki 'Innahu Huwa Al-Ĥakīmu Al-`Alīmu | They said: "Even so says your Lord. Verily, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower." (Adh-Dhariyat 51:30) |
Qāla Famā Khaţbukum 'Ayyuhā Al-Mursalūna | [Ibrāhim (Abraham)] said: "Then for what purpose you have come, O Messengers?" (Adh-Dhariyat 51:31) |
Qālū 'Innā 'Ursilnā 'Ilá Qawmin Mujrimīna | They said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimûn (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in Allāh); (Adh-Dhariyat 51:32) |
Linursila `Alayhim Ĥijāratan Min Ţīnin | To send down upon them stones of baked clay. (Adh-Dhariyat 51:33) |
Musawwamatan `Inda Rabbika Lilmusrifīna | Marked by your Lord for the Musrifûn (polytheists, criminals, sinners those who trespass Allāh's set limits in evil-doings by committing great sins). (Adh-Dhariyat 51:34) |
Fa'akhrajnā Man Kāna Fīhā Mina Al-Mu'uminīna | So We brought out from therein the believers. (Adh-Dhariyat 51:35) |
Famā Wajadnā Fīhā Ghayra Baytin Mina Al-Muslimīna | But We found not there any household of the Muslims except one [i.e. Lout (Lot) and his two daughters]. (Adh-Dhariyat 51:36) |
Wa Taraknā Fīhā 'Āyatan Lilladhīna Yakhāfūna Al-`Adhāba Al-'Alīma | And We have left there a sign (i.e. the place of the Dead Sea , well-known in Palestine) for those who fear the painful torment. (Adh-Dhariyat 51:37) |
Wa Fī Mūsá 'Idh 'Arsalnāhu 'Ilá Fir`awna Bisulţānin Mubīnin | And in Mûsa (Moses) (too, there is a sign). When We sent him to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) with a manifest authority. (Adh-Dhariyat 51:38) |
Fatawallá Biruknihi Wa Qāla Sāĥirun 'Aw Majnūnun | But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] turned away (from Belief in might) along with his hosts, and said: "A sorcerer, or a madman." (Adh-Dhariyat 51:39) |
Fa'akhadhnāhu Wa Junūdahu Fanabadhnāhum Fī Al-Yammi Wa Huwa Mulīmun | So We took him and his hosts, and dumped them into the sea, while he was to be blamed. (Adh-Dhariyat 51:40) |
Wa Fī `Ādin 'Idh 'Arsalnā `Alayhimu Ar-Rīĥa Al-`Aqīma | And in 'Ad (there is also a sign) when We sent against them the barren wind; (Adh-Dhariyat 51:41) |
Mā Tadharu Min Shay'in 'Atat `Alayhi 'Illā Ja`alat/hu Kālrramīmi | It spared nothing that it reached, but blew it into broken spreads of rotten ruins. (Adh-Dhariyat 51:42) |
Wa Fī Thamūda 'Idh Qīla Lahum Tamatta`ū Ĥattá Ĥīnin | And in Thamûd (there is also a sign), when they were told: "Enjoy yourselves for a while!" (Adh-Dhariyat 51:43) |
Fa`ataw `An 'Amri Rabbihim Fa'akhadhat/humu Aş-Şā`iqatu Wa Hum Yanžurūna | But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord, so the Sā'iqah overtook them while they were looking. (Adh-Dhariyat 51:44) |
Famā Astaţā`ū Min Qiyāmin Wa Mā Kānū Muntaşirīna | Then they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. (Adh-Dhariyat 51:45) |
Wa Qawma Nūĥin Min Qablu 'Innahum Kānū Qawmāan Fāsiqīna | (So were) the people of Nûh (Noah) before them. Verily, they were a people who were Fāsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allāh). (Adh-Dhariyat 51:46) |
Wa As-Samā'a Banaynāhā Bi'ayydin Wa 'Innā Lamūsi`ūna | With power did We construct the heaven. Verily, We are Able to extend the vastness of space thereof. (Adh-Dhariyat 51:47) |
Wa Al-'Arđa Farashnāhā Fani`ma Al-Māhidūna | And We have spread out the earth, how Excellent Spreader (thereof) are We! (Adh-Dhariyat 51:48) |
Wa Min Kulli Shay'in Khalaqnā Zawjayni La`allakum Tadhakkarūna | And of everything We have created pairs, that you may remember (the Grace of Allāh). (Adh-Dhariyat 51:49) |
Fafirrū 'Ilá Al-Lahi 'Innī Lakum Minhu Nadhīrun Mubīnun | So flee to Allāh (from His Torment to His Mercy Islāmic Monotheism), verily, I (Muhammad SAW) am a plain warner to you from Him. (Adh-Dhariyat 51:50) |
Wa Lā Taj`alū Ma`a Al-Lahi 'Ilahāan 'Ākhara 'Innī Lakum Minhu Nadhīrun Mubīnun | And set not up (or worship) any other ilāhan (god) along with Allāh [Glorified be He (Alone), Exalted above all that they associate as partners with Him]. Verily, I (Muhammad SAW) am a plain warner to you from Him. (Adh-Dhariyat 51:51) |
Kadhālika Mā 'Atá Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim Min Rasūlin 'Illā Qālū Sāĥirun 'Aw Majnūnun | Likewise, no Messenger came to those before them, but they said: "A sorcerer or a madman!" (Adh-Dhariyat 51:52) |
'Atawāşaw Bihi Bal Hum Qawmun Ţāghūna | Have they (the people of the past) transmitted this saying to these (Quraish pagans)? Nay, they are themselves a people transgressing beyond bounds (in disbelief)! (Adh-Dhariyat 51:53) |
Fatawalla `Anhum Famā 'Anta Bimalūmin | So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them (Quraish pagans) you are not to be blamed (as you have conveyed Allāh's Message). (Adh-Dhariyat 51:54) |
Wa Dhakkir Fa'inna Adh-Dhikrá Tanfa`u Al-Mu'uminīna | And remind (by preaching the Qur'ān, O Muhammad SAW) for verily, the reminding profits the believers. (Adh-Dhariyat 51:55) |
Wa Mā Khalaqtu Al-Jinna Wa Al-'Insa 'Illā Liya`budūni | And I (Allāh) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone). (Adh-Dhariyat 51:56) |
Mā 'Urīdu Minhum Min Rizqin Wa Mā 'Urīdu 'An Yuţ`imūni | I seek not any provision from them (i.e. provision for themselves or for My creatures) nor do I ask that they should feed Me (i.e. feed themselves or My creatures). (Adh-Dhariyat 51:57) |
'Inna Al-Laha Huwa Ar-Razzāqu Dhū Al-Qūwati Al-Matīnu | Verily, Allāh is the All-Provider, Owner of Power, the Most Strong. (Adh-Dhariyat 51:58) |
Fa'inna Lilladhīna Žalamū Dhanūbāan Mithla Dhanūbi 'Aşĥābihim Falā Yasta`jilūni | And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a portion of torment like to the evil portion of torment (which came for) their likes (of old), so let them not ask Me to hasten on! (Adh-Dhariyat 51:59) |
Fawaylun Lilladhīna Kafarū Min Yawmihimu Al-Ladhī Yū`adūna | Then, woe to those who disbelieve (in Allāh and His Oneness Islāmic Monotheism) from (that) their Day which they have been promised (for their punishment). (Adh-Dhariyat 51:60) |
