Ĥā-Mīm | HāMīm. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'ān and none but Allāh (Alone) knows their meanings]. (Al-Jathiyah 45:1) |
Tanzīlu Al-Kitābi Mina Al-Lahi Al-`Azīzi Al-Ĥakīmi | The revelation of the Book (this Qur'ān) is from Allāh, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. (Al-Jathiyah 45:2) |
'Inna Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi La'āyātin Lilmu'uminīna | Verily, in the heavens and the earth are signs for the believers. (Al-Jathiyah 45:3) |
Wa Fī Khalqikum Wa Mā Yabuththu Min Dābbatin 'Āyātun Liqawmin Yūqinūna | And in your creation, and what He scattered (through the earth) of moving (living) creatures are signs for people who have Faith with certainty. (Al-Jathiyah 45:4) |
Wa Akhtilāfi Al-Layli Wa An-Nahāri Wa Mā 'Anzala Al-Lahu Mina As-Samā'i Min Rizqin Fa'aĥyā Bihi Al-'Arđa Ba`da Mawtihā Wa Taşrīfi Ar-Riyāĥi 'Āyātun Liqawmin Ya`qilūna | And in the alternation of night and day, and the provision (rain) that Allāh sends down from the sky, and revives therewith the earth after its death, and in the turning about of the winds (i.e. sometimes towards the east or north, and sometimes towards the south or west etc., sometimes bringing glad tidings of rain etc., and sometimes bringing the torment), are signs for a people who understand. (Al-Jathiyah 45:5) |
Tilka 'Āyātu Al-Lahi Natlūhā `Alayka Bil-Ĥaqqi Fabi'ayyi Ĥadīthin Ba`da Al-Lahi Wa 'Āyātihi Yu'uminūna | These are the Ayāt (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, revelations, etc.) of Allāh, which We recite to you (O Muhammad SAW) with truth. Then in which speech after Allāh and His Ayāt will they believe? (Al-Jathiyah 45:6) |
Waylun Likulli 'Affākin 'Athīmin | Woe to every sinful liar, (Al-Jathiyah 45:7) |
Yasma`u 'Āyāti Al-Lahi Tutlá `Alayhi Thumma Yuşirru Mustakbirāan Ka'an Lam Yasma`hā Fabashshirhu Bi`adhābin 'Alīmin | Who hears the Verses of Allāh (being) recited to him, yet persists with pride as if he heard them not. So announce to him a painful torment! (Al-Jathiyah 45:8) |
Wa 'Idhā `Alima Min 'Āyātinā Shay'āan Attakhadhahā Huzūan 'Ūlā'ika Lahum `Adhābun Muhīnun | And when he learns something of Our Verses (this Qur'ān), he makes them a jest. For such there will be a humiliating torment. (Al-Jathiyah 45:9) |
Min Warā'ihim Jahannamu Wa Lā Yughnī `Anhum Mā Kasabū Shay'āan Wa Lā Mā Attakhadhū Min Dūni Al-Lahi 'Awliyā'a Wa Lahum `Adhābun `Ažīmun | In front of them there is Hell, and that which they have earned will be of no profit to them, nor (will be of any profit to them) those whom they have taken as Auliyā' (protectors, helpers, etc.) besides Allāh. And theirs will be a great torment. (Al-Jathiyah 45:10) |
Hādhā Hudáan Wa Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Bi'āyāti Rabbihim Lahum `Adhābun Min Rijzin 'Alīmun | This (Qur'ān) is a guidance. And those who disbelieve in the Ayāt (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord, for them there is a painful torment of Rijz (a severe kind of punishment). (Al-Jathiyah 45:11) |
Al-Lahu Al-Ladhī Sakhkhara Lakumu Al-Baĥra Litajriya Al-Fulku Fīhi Bi'amrihi Wa Litabtaghū Min Fađlihi Wa La`allakum Tashkurūna | Allāh it is He Who has subjected to you the sea, that ships may sail through it by His Command, and that you may seek of His Bounty, and that you may be thankful, (Al-Jathiyah 45:12) |
Wa Sakhkhara Lakum Mā Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Mā Fī Al-'Arđi Jamī`āan Minhu 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Liqawmin Yatafakkarūna | And has subjected to you all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth; it is all as a favour and kindness from Him. Verily, in it are signs for a people who think deeply. (Al-Jathiyah 45:13) |
Qul Lilladhīna 'Āmanū Yaghfirū Lilladhīna Lā Yarjūna 'Ayyāma Al-Lahi Liyajziya Qawmāan Bimā Kānū Yaksibūna | Say (O Muhammad SAW) to the believers to forgive those who (harm them and) hope not for the Days of Allāh (i.e. His Recompense), that He may recompense people according to what they have earned (i.e. to punish these disbelievers, who harm the believers). (Al-Jathiyah 45:14) |
Man `Amila Şāliĥāan Falinafsihi Wa Man 'Asā'a Fa`alayhā Thumma 'Ilá Rabbikum Turja`ūna | Whosoever does a good deed, it is for his ownself, and whosoever does evil, it is against (his ownself). Then to your Lord you will be made to return. (Al-Jathiyah 45:15) |
Wa Laqad 'Ātaynā Banī 'Isrā'īla Al-Kitāba Wa Al-Ĥukma Wa An-Nubūwata Wa Razaqnāhum Mina Aţ-Ţayyibāti Wa Fađđalnāhum `Alá Al-`Ālamīna | And indeed We gave the Children of Israel the Scripture, and the understanding of the Scripture and its laws, and the Prophethood; and provided them with good things, and preferred them above the 'Alamīn (mankind and jinns) (of their time, during that period), (Al-Jathiyah 45:16) |
Wa 'Ātaynāhum Bayyinātin Mina Al-'Amri Famā Akhtalafū 'Illā Min Ba`di Mā Jā'ahumu Al-`Ilmu Baghyāan Baynahum 'Inna Rabbaka Yaqđī Baynahum Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Fīmā Kānū Fīhi Yakhtalifūna | And gave them clear proofs in matters [by revealing to them the Taurāt (Torah)]. And they differed not until after the knowledge came to them, through envy among themselves. Verily, Your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection about that wherein they used to differ. (Al-Jathiyah 45:17) |
Thumma Ja`alnāka `Alá Sharī`atin Mina Al-'Amri Fa Attabi`hā Wa Lā Tattabi` 'Ahwā'a Al-Ladhīna Lā Ya`lamūna | Then We have put you (O Muhammad SAW) on a plain way of (Our) commandment [like the one which We commanded Our Messengers before you (i.e. legal ways and laws of the Islāmic Monotheism)]. So follow you that (Islāmic Monotheism and its laws), and follow not the desires of those who know not. [Tafsir At-Tabarī Vol. 25, Page 146]. (Al-Jathiyah 45:18) |
'Innahum Lan Yughnū `Anka Mina Al-Lahi Shay'āan Wa 'Inna Až-Žālimīna Ba`đuhum 'Awliyā'u Ba`đin Wa Allāhu Wa Līyu Al-Muttaqīna | Verily, they can avail you nothing against Allāh (if He wants to punish you). Verily, the Zālimûn (polytheists, wrong-doers, etc.) are Auliyā' (protectors, helpers, etc.) to one another, but Allāh is the Walī (Helper, Protector, etc.) of the Muttaqûn (pious - see V.2:2). (Al-Jathiyah 45:19) |
Hādhā Başā'iru Lilnnāsi Wa Hudáan Wa Raĥmatun Liqawmin Yūqinūna | This (Qur'ān) is a clear insight and evidence for mankind, and a guidance and a mercy for people who have Faith with certainty. (Al-Jathiyah 45:20) |
'Am Ĥasiba Al-Ladhīna Ajtaraĥū As-Sayyi'āti 'An Naj`alahum Kālladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Sawā'an Maĥyāhum Wa Mamātuhum Sā'a Mā Yaĥkumūna | Or do those who earn evil deeds think that We shall hold them equal with those who believe (in the Oneness of Allāh Islāmic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, in their present life and after their death? Worst is the judgement that they make. (Al-Jathiyah 45:21) |
Wa Khalaqa Al-Lahu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Litujzá Kullu Nafsin Bimā Kasabat Wa Hum Lā Yužlamūna | And Allāh has created the heavens and the earth with truth, in order that each person may be recompensed what he has earned, and they will not be wronged. (Al-Jathiyah 45:22) |
'Afara'ayta Mani Attakhadha 'Ilahahu Hawāhu Wa 'Ađallahu Al-Lahu `Alá `Ilmin Wa Khatama `Alá Sam`ihi Wa Qalbihi Wa Ja`ala `Alá Başarihi Ghishāwatan Faman Yahdīhi Min Ba`di Al-Lahi 'Afalā Tadhakkarūna | Have you seen him who takes his own lust (vain desires) as his ilāh (god), and Allāh knowing (him as such), left him astray, and sealed his hearing and his heart, and put a cover on his sight. Who then will guide him after Allāh? Will you not then remember? (Al-Jathiyah 45:23) |
Wa Qālū Mā Hiya 'Illā Ĥayātunā Ad-Dunyā Namūtu Wa Naĥyā Wa Mā Yuhlikunā 'Illā Ad-Dahru Wa Mā Lahum Bidhālika Min `Ilmin 'In Hum 'Illā Yažunnūna | And they say: "There is nothing but our life of this world, we die and we live and nothing destroys us except Ad-Dahr (the time). And they have no knowledge of it, they only conjecture. (Al-Jathiyah 45:24) |
Wa 'Idhā Tutlá `Alayhim 'Āyātunā Bayyinātin Mā Kāna Ĥujjatahum 'Illā 'An Qālū A'tū Bi'ābā'inā 'In Kuntum Şādiqīna | And when Our Clear Verses are recited to them, their argument is no other than that they say: "Bring back our (dead) fathers, if you are truthful!" (Al-Jathiyah 45:25) |
Quli Al-Lahu Yuĥyīkum Thumma Yumītukum Thumma Yajma`ukum 'Ilá Yawmi Al-Qiyāmati Lā Rayba Fīhi Wa Lakinna 'Akthara An-Nāsi Lā Ya`lamūna | Say (to them): "Allāh gives you life, then causes you to die, then He will assemble you on the Day of Resurrection about which there is no doubt. But most of mankind know not." (Al-Jathiyah 45:26) |
Wa Lillahi Mulku As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Yawma Taqūmu As-Sā`atu Yawma'idhin Yakhsaru Al-Mubţilūna | And to Allāh belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. And on the Day that the Hour will be established, on that Day the followers of falsehood (polytheists, disbelievers, worshippers of false deities, etc.) shall lose (everything). (Al-Jathiyah 45:27) |
Wa Tará Kulla 'Ummatin Jāthiyatan Kullu 'Ummatin Tud`á 'Ilá Kitābihā Al-Yawma Tujzawna Mā Kuntum Ta`malūna | And you will see each nation humbled to their knees (kneeling), each nation will be called to its Record (of deeds). This Day you shall be recompensed for what you used to do. (Al-Jathiyah 45:28) |
Hādhā Kitābunā Yanţiqu `Alaykum Bil-Ĥaqqi 'Innā Kunnā Nastansikhu Mā Kuntum Ta`malūna | This Our Record speaks about you with truth. Verily, We were recording what you used to do (i.e. Our angels used to record your deeds). (Al-Jathiyah 45:29) |
Fa'ammā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Fayudkhiluhum Rabbuhum Fī Raĥmatihi Dhālika Huwa Al-Fawzu Al-Mubīnu | Then, as for those who believed (in the Oneness of Allāh Islāmic Monotheism) and did righteous good deeds, their Lord will admit them to His Mercy. That will be the evident success. (Al-Jathiyah 45:30) |
Wa 'Ammā Al-Ladhīna Kafarū 'Afalam Takun 'Āyātī Tutlá `Alaykum Fāstakbartum Wa Kuntum Qawmāan Mujrimīna | But as for those who disbelieved (it will be said to them): "Were not Our Verses recited to you? But you were proud, and you were a people who were Mujrimûn (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals)." (Al-Jathiyah 45:31) |
Wa 'Idhā Qīla 'Inna Wa`da Al-Lahi Ĥaqqun Wa As-Sā`atu Lā Rayba Fīhā Qultum Mā Nadrī Mā As-Sā`atu 'In Nažunnu 'Illā Žannāan Wa Mā Naĥnu Bimustayqinīna | And when it was said: "Verily! Allāh's Promise is the truth, and there is no doubt about the coming of the Hour," you said; "We know not what is the Hour, we do not think it but as a conjecture, and we have no firm convincing belief (therein)." (Al-Jathiyah 45:32) |
Wa Badā Lahum Sayyi'ātu Mā `Amilū Wa Ĥāqa Bihim Mā Kānū Bihi Yastahzi'ūn | And the evil of what they did will appear to them, and they will be completely encircled by that which they used to mock at! (Al-Jathiyah 45:33) |
Wa Qīla Al-Yawma Nansākum Kamā Nasītum Liqā'a Yawmikum Hādhā Wa Ma'wākumu An-Nāru Wa Mā Lakum Min Nāşirīna | And it will be said: "This Day We will forget you as you forgot the Meeting of this Day of yours. And your abode is the Fire, and there is none to help you." (Al-Jathiyah 45:34) |
Dhālikum Bi'annakum Attakhadhtum 'Āyāti Al-Lahi Huzūan Wa Gharratkumu Al-Ĥayāatu Ad-Dunyā Fālyawma Lā Yukhrajūna Minhā Wa Lā Hum Yusta`tabūna | This, because you took the revelations of Allāh (this Qur'ān) in mockery, and the life of the world deceived you. So this Day, they shall not be taken out from there (Hell), nor shall they be Yustā'tabûn (i.e. they shall not return to the worldly life, so that they repent to Allāh, and beg His Pardon for their sins). (Al-Jathiyah 45:35) |
Falillāhi Al-Ĥamdu Rabbi As-Samāwāti Wa Rabbi Al-'Arđi Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna | So all the praises and thanks are to Allāh, the Lord of the heavens and the Lord of the earth, and the Lord of the 'Alamīn (mankind, jinns and all that exists). (Al-Jathiyah 45:36) |
Wa Lahu Al-Kibriyā'u Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Huwa Al-`Azīzu Al-Ĥakīmu | And His (Alone) is the Majesty in the heavens and the earth, and He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. (Al-Jathiyah 45:37) |
