وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا لُقْمَانَ الْحِكْمَةَ أَنِ اشْكُرْ لِلَّهِ ۚ وَمَنْ يَشْكُرْ فَإِنَّمَا يَشْكُرُ لِنَفْسِه ِِ ۖ وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ حَمِيدٌ

031-012 Wa Laqad 'Ātaynā Luqmāna Al-Ĥikmata 'Ani Ashkur Lillahi ۚ Wa Man Yashkur Fa'innamā Yashkuru Linafsihi ۖ Wa Man Kafara Fa'inna Al-Laha Ghanīyun Ĥamīdun |

031.012 we bestowed (in the past) Wisdom on Luqman: "Show (thy) gratitude to God." Any who is (so) grateful does so to the profit of his own soul: but if any is ungrateful, verily God is free of all wants, Worthy of all praise.
