وَ‍‍ضَ‍‍‍رَبَ ‌ال‍‍لَّهُ مَثَلا ‌ ًقَ‍‍رْيَة ً‌ كَ‍‍انَتْ ‌آمِنَة ً‌ مُ‍‍‍‍ط‍‍‍‍ْ‍مَئِ‍‍نّ‍‍َ‍ة ً‌ يَأْتِيهَا‌ ‌رِ‌زْ‍‍قُ‍‍هَا‌ ‌‍رَ‍غَ‍‍د‌ا ‌ ً‌ مِ‍‍نْ كُلِّ مَك‍‍َ‍ان ‍ٍ‌ فَكَفَ‍رَتْ بِأَنْعُمِ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ فَأَ‌ذَ‌اقَ‍‍هَا‌ ‌ال‍‍لَّهُ لِب‍‍َ‍اسَ ‌الْج‍‍ُ‍وعِ ‌وَ‌الْ‍‍خَ‍‍وْفِ بِمَا‌ كَ‍‍انُو‌ا‌ يَ‍‍صْ‍‍نَع‍‍ُ‍ونَ

016-112  Wa Đaraba Al-Lahu Mathalāan Qaryatan Kānat 'Āminatan Muţma'innatan Ya'tīhā Rizquhā Raghadāan Min Kulli Makānin Fakafarat Bi'an`umi Al-Lahi Fa'adhāqahā Al-Lahu Libāsa Al-Jū`i Wa Al-Khawfi Bimā Kānū Yaşna`ūna

 016.112 God sets forth a Parable: a city enjoying security and quiet, abundantly supplied with sustenance from every place: Yet was it ungrateful for the favours of God: so God made it taste of hunger and terror (in extremes) (closing in on it) like a garment (from every side), because of the (evil) which (its people) wrought.
