Prayer said during a wind storm

(158)  

 ‘O Allah, I ask You for it’s goodness and I take refuge with You from it’s evil.’

(158) Al-Lahumma 'Innī 'As'aluka Khayrahā, Wa 'A`ūdhu Bika Min Sharrihā.
 
(158) اللَّهمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهَا، وَأَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا.

(159)  

 ‘O Allah, I ask You for it’s goodness, the good within it, and the good it was sent with, and I take refuge with You from it’s evil, the evil within it, and from the evil it was sent with.’

(159) Al-Lahumma 'Innī 'As'aluka Khayrahā, Wa Khayra Mā Fīhā, Wa Khayra Mā 'Uursilat Bihi, Wa 'A`ūdhu Bika Min Sharrihā, Wa Sharri Mā Fīhā, Wa Sharri Mā 'Uursilat Bihi.
 
(159) اللَّهمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهَا، وَخَيْرَ مَا فِيْهَا، وَخَيْرَ مَا أُُرْسِلَتْ بِهِ، وَأَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا، وَشَرِّ مَا فِيْهَا، وَشَرِّ مَا أُُرْسِلَتْ بِهِ.
     

58. Supplication upon hearing thunder

When AAabdullah Ibn Az-Zubayr t used to hear thunder he would stop talking and say:

 ‘How perfect He is, (The One) Whom the thunder declares His perfection with His praise, as do the angles out of fear of Him.’

(160) Subĥāna Al-Ladhī Yusabbiĥu Ar-Ra`du Biĥamdihi, Wa Al-Malā'ikatu Min Khīfatihi.
 
(160) سُبْحانَ الَّذِي يُسَبِّحُ الرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِهِ، وَالمَلائِكَةُ مِنْ خِيْفَتِهِ.
     

59. Supplication for rain

(161)  

 ‘O Allah, send upon us helpful, wholesome and healthy rain, beneficial not harmful rain, now, not later.’

(161) Al-Lahumma Asqinā Ghaythāan Mughīthāan Marī'āan, Murī`āan Nāfi`āan Ghayra Đārrin, `Ājilāan Ghayra 'Ājilin.
 
(161) اللَّهمَّ اسْقِنَا غَيْثا ً مُغِيْثا ً مَرِيْئا ً مُرِيْعا، ً نَافِعاً غَيْرَ ضَارّ،ٍ عَاجِلاً غَيْرَ آجِل.ٍ
 

(162)  

 ‘O Allah, relieve us, O Allah, relieve us, O Allah, relieve us.’

(162) Al-Lahumma 'Aghithnā, Al-Lahumma 'Aghithnā, Al-Lahumma 'Aghithnā.
 
(162) اللَّهمَّ أَغِثْنَا، اللَّهمَّ أَغِثْنَا، اللَّهمَّ أَغِثْنَا.

(163)  

 ‘O Allah, provide water for Your servants and Your cattle, spread out Your mercy and resurrect Your dead land.’

(163) Al-Lahumma Asqi `Ibādaka Wa Bahā'imaka, Wa Anshur Raĥmataka Wa 'Aĥyī Baladaka Al-Mayyita.
 
(163) اللَّهمَّ اسْقِ عِبَادَكَ وَبَهَائِمَكَ، وَانْشُرْ رَحْمَتَكَ وَأَحْيِي بَلَدَكَ المَيِّتَ.
 
     

60. Supplication said when it rains

 ‘O Allah, may it be a beneficial rain cloud.’

(164) Al-Lahumma Şayyibāan Nāfi`āan.
 
(164) اللَّهمَّ صَيِّبا ً نَافِعا.ً
     

61. After rainfall

 

  .61الذكر بعد نزول المطر

(165)  

 ‘We have been given rain by the grace and mercy of Allah.’

(165) Muţirnā Bifađli Allāhi Wa Raĥmatihi.
 
(165) مُطِرْنَا بِفَضْلِ اللَّهِ وَرَحْمَتِهِ.
     

62. Asking for clear skies

(166)  

 ‘O Allah, let the rain fall around us and not upon us, O Allah, (let it fall) on the pastures, hills, valleys and the roots of trees.’

(166) Al-Lahumma Ĥawālaynā Wa Lā `Alaynā, Al-Lahumma `Alá Al-'Ākāmi Wa Až-Žirābi, Wa Buţūni Al-'Awdiyati, Wa Manābiti Ash-Shajari.
 
(166) اللَّهمَّ حَوَالَيْنَا وَلا عَلَيْنَا، اللَّهمَّ عَلَى الآكَامِ وَالظِّرَابِ، وَبُطُوْنِ الأَوْدِيَةِ، وَمَنابِتِ الشَّجَرِ.
     

63. Upon sighting the crescent moon

 ‘Allah is the greatest. O Allah, let the crescent loom above us in safety, faith, peace, and Islam, and in agreement with all that You love and pleases You. Our Lord and your Lord is Allah.’

(167) Allāhu 'Akbaru, Al-Lahumma 'Ahillahu `Alaynā Bil-'Amni Wa Al-'Īmāni, Wa As-Salāmati Wa Al-'Islāmi, Wa At-Tawfīqi Limā Tuĥibbu Wa Tarđá, Rabbunā Wa Rabbuka Al-Lh. (167) اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللَّهمَّ أَهِلَّه ُُ عَلَيْنَا بِالأَمْنِ وَالإِيْمَانِ، وَالسَّلامَةِ وَالإِسْلامِ، وَالتَّوْفِيْقِ لِمَا تُحِبُّ وَتَرْضَى، رَبُّنَا وَرَبُّكَ اللَّه.
